Episode #12402 ~ Kate talks to Will about the article; Hope discovers Aiden's lie; Eve sends Theresa to speak with Paige.

Provided By Suzanne

Theresa: So, Brady... I wonder how you're handling all this. Maybe it's time for a friendly call.

Eve: Oh! Thank you so much for meeting me here.

Theresa: You said breakfast is on you, right?

Eve: Huh. You are so mercenary.

Theresa: Yeah, and you're so cheap. I mean, you're hitting me up for some favor, and this dump's the best you can do? I mean, that is the reason for this. You want something?

Eve: Okay, I do have a small favor to ask you.

Theresa: Well, I've already given you my blood, so what more do you need, a kidney? Liver? Firstborn?

Eve: Nothing like that. I just think it's time for you to reunite with Paige.

Mary Beth: No, I think that's a great idea. Put off going to Stanford to take extension courses at Salem "U." You won't even have to worry about California in the winter because you'll be here--

Paige: I just knew you'd be in my corner.

Mary Beth: Why are you doing something so stupid, Paige?

Paige: To save money. And I thought--I don't know--

Mary Beth: Why do I even bother asking? I know why you're staying. It's because of that loser, JJ Deveraux.

Jennifer: Wouldn't you know it'd be Daniel who brought Kristen to justice?

Hope: Thank God he wasn't hurt too badly.

JJ: Yeah, I think you should go check on him mom, just to make sure he's all right.

Jennifer: I saw Daniel last night at the hospital, and he's fine.

JJ: The conversation's closed, right?

Jennifer: Yeah, right.

Hope: So, um, about last night, gosh, with everything that was going on... were you still able to go out on that date?

JJ: That date? What date?

[Baby crying]

Sonny: Hey, how was the gym?

Will: The exact same as yesterday. Did Abigail come by to pick up Ari?

Sonny: Yes, she did. And it wasn't exactly the same as yesterday. You left about 30 minutes earlier than usual.

Will: So?

Sonny: You trying to avoid Abigail?

Will: Why would I do that?

Sonny: Because you feel guilty you put her in the article.

Will: I didn't put her in the article, I-I didn't mention her name. I protected her identity.

Sonny: I don't know if she's gonna see it like that.

Will: I had to tell the whole story, sonny. The fact that EJ had an affair is what caused everything else to happen.

Sonny: Right. So you were asleep when I got home last night. How'd it go with your mom? She seemed pretty upset when I left.

Will: She's furious. [Laughs]

Sonny: You don't seem worried about that.

Will: She's trying to destroy Abigail's life. She's getting what she deserves.

Sami: Could you? Oh, that would be amazing. Thank you, yes. No, it's perfect to pick 'em up this afternoon. Yes, they will be so excited. Thank you. Oh, thank God that's done.

Kate: What?

Sami: I arranged for the kids to--to go to this amazing sleepaway camp.

Kate: Oh.

Sami: I looked into it, it's one of the best in the country. It'll be fine, and they've been dying to go. All their friends are there.

Kate: Does EJ know?

Sami: Not yet, but it's good for them to be out of the house before all hell breaks loose.

Kate: [Laughs] All hell breaks loose? I thought that already happened.

Sami: Shh!

Kate: Wha--

EJ: Morning, ladies. So what are we plotting now, hmm?

Theresa: So okay, somewhat of a policy reversal here. Why do you suddenly want me, the definition of bad influence, to cozy up to your sweet, little angel baby? What's changed, hmm?

Eve: [Grumbles] She has.

Theresa: Oh.

Eve: She decided to postpone going to Stanford, and she's gonna stay here in Salem.

Theresa: So she's suddenly doing what she wants instead of what you want. Mm, the nerve of that girl.

Eve: Can it, Theresa.

Theresa: [Chuckles]

Eve: Look, I need to get her to change her mind, and I'm running out of time, so I need your help.

Theresa: [Laughs] How? Just exactly what do you want me to do, hmm? [Chuckles]

JJ: You didn't tell me you had a date.

Jennifer: Well, actually--

[Doorbell ringing]

Jennifer: I'll get that.

JJ: I didn't know you were ready to date again so soon after Daniel. Are you sure it's a good idea?

Jennifer: No, honey, you don't understand.

JJ: Is it someone I know?

Jennifer: Well, it's Aiden, but it's--

[Doorbell ringing]

Jennifer: Just hold that thought, one sec.

Aiden: Hey, Jen.

Jennifer: Hey!

Aiden: How's it going?

Ben: It was a good thing you said something, sweetie. I guess your friend here wasn't even going to say hi.

Abigail: We just got here, actually.

Ben: Well, I'm glad. I actually wanted to apologize for disappearing last night.

Abigail: Thank you. I just worried that I made you mad, about what I said about your father, that he was trying to change.

Ben: Yeah. I just really can't take that you're nice, and that you try to give people a break... so work on that, okay?

Abigail: I'll try.

Ben: So what are you two doing this morning?

Abigail: Well, it's very exciting. We are going to sit in the sun, and then later, we're gonna have a juice box.

Ben: Oh, that sounds so cool.

Abigail: It is, actually. She's great company.

Ben: So are you. So you would you mind if maybe I got to hang out with you guys for a while?

Abigail: I'd like that.

Sami: How dare you? We weren't plotting anything. We were just talking business.

[Bell dings]

EJ: Right, because you two wouldn't be caught dead plotting, would you?

Kate: You don't look like you're dressed for court this morning.

EJ: I'm not going to court this morning, Kate. I told you, I'm not lifting a finger to help my sister.

Kate: Aw, that means Kristen is going to have to face the jury all on her own!

EJ: I'm sure she will have some counsel, it just won't be me. Who knows? I may be called to testify against her when her case goes to trial.

Sami: [Chuckles] That is my new favorite expression, "when her case goes to trial."

Kate: [Laughs] You mean when they throw the book at her?

Sami: [Laughs] We've got to be careful what we say, though. Of course, we are still talking about EJ's sister, right, EJ? DiMera family sticks together?

EJ: [Slams table] Samantha, I've told you, I have cut her out of my life completely.

Sami: And he gave me his word. You know how much that's worth. Uh, I'm just happy that she will finally get what she deserves for what she did to my brother. And Kate and I do have work to do.

EJ: Great, I'm going for a run. Oh. Kate, I do hope you gave some thought to our conversation last night.

Sami: What did he mean by that?

Kate: Oh, don't worry about it--he just thinks Stefano is gonna have someone kill us. What makes a woman beautiful?

Theresa: Eve, I just feel like I keep doing favor after favor after favor, and I'm not getting anything in return.

Eve: Oh, really?

Theresa: Mm-hmm.

Eve: So my keeping my mouth shut about what actually happened with john and Brady isn't giving a lot back in return?

Theresa: You don't know anything, eve.

Eve: Oh, yeah, I think I do. I think that you would be mighty upset if I shared my misgivings with the police.

Theresa: All right, I'll help you out.

Eve: Aw, thank ya, sista. [Laughs]

Theresa: I hate you.

Eve: I know. I don't care. I just want you to do what you do best, and that is stir up trouble. Thanks.

Paige: Okay, I'd like to be friends, but I won't be if you keep trashing JJ.

Mary Beth: I'm just trying to look out for you. You think JJ is all reformed, but guys like that don't change.

Paige: You sound like my mom.

[Rapid beeping]

Paige: Oh. [Sighs] Speak of the devil. "Meet you at home, we need to talk." I doubt we'll be discussing the global economy.

Mary Beth: Paige, be real. I mean, of course your mother wants to talk to you about JJ. She's worried that you're over the moon about this drug-dealing user who got kicked out of boarding school, and according to Rory, was hooking up with girls, like, one after another.

Paige: You--I'm out of here.

Mary Beth: Paige, JJ is gonna get tired of playing the "nice guy" role and revert to type, and when he does, you're gonna be the one who gets hurt.

Jennifer: Come on in, please.

Aiden: Yeah. Hey, JJ.

JJ: Hi.

Aiden: Is this a bad time, or--

Jennifer: No, not at all. JJ and I were just going to discuss something. I'll be right back.

Aiden: Yeah, okay, all right.

Jennifer: Please, go on. Honey, hope called it a date, but it's not a date. Aiden and I made a plan to go to dinner together, you know, like friends do.

JJ: Okay, all right.

Jennifer: But honey, if it were a date, you would have to be okay with that.

JJ: I know, I know. It's just, I know that you love Daniel.

Jennifer: Yeah. But when I saw him last night, he made it very clear that he doesn't want to see me. So if I have to accept that, then so do you.

JJ: You two drive me nuts.

Jennifer: No, I know. I get that.

JJ: I just want you to be happy, mom. That's all.

Jennifer: I get that too. Thank you.

JJ: Come here.

Sami: EJ thinks that Stefano is going to kill us, and you just, what, failed to mention that to me?

Kate: Yeah, that's right. I mean, he was just saying that so we would panic and give up. I mean, obviously, he was bluffing.

Sami: What if he's not?

Kate: All right, Sami, I know Stefano, all right? I have an accurate sense of how far we can push him until he gets to his breaking point. Believe me, I would know. I would know if he was...going to take a hit out on us.

Sami: This is ridiculous. Do you think other families have conversations like these?

Kate: And you know the other thing, I think our protection really is, is that there's no way that even Stefano wants to explain to his grandchildren that he had their mommy and grandmama rubbed out.

Sami: Aw, the old softie.

Kate: [Laughs] So anyway, let's get back to where we were. Why is all hell going to break loose?

Sami: Mm. Well, there's a magazine article coming out about us, and our rise to power at DiMera enterprises.

Kate: Hmm. Flattering, I hope.

Sami: No. No, that's not how I would characterize it, but it details everything we did. And it's the truth... and nothing but.

Kate: We hate the truth and nothing but. How is that possible? Who did this?

Sonny: She threatened you? Your own mother threatened you?

Will: Well, maybe you haven't noticed, but my mom doesn't like it when things don't go her way. She has a tendency to, uh, lash out. It's just words.

Sonny: What she did to EJ was a bit more than just words.

Will: One, my mom would never really do anything to hurt me. Not on purpose, anyway, but more than that, every word that I wrote in that article is true. She doesn't really have a leg to stand on. She actually did those things. All I did was report them.

Sonny: Yeah. She and others might argue that just because something's true doesn't mean it should be a cover story.

Will: I thought you were behind me on this.

Sonny: I am, up to a point.

Will: Up to a point?

Sonny: Uh-huh. Come on. It's not like I haven't expressed certain reservations before. I told you from the very beginning, you should have given her a heads-up about the article so she wouldn't have been so shocked. I just think that maybe you should have taken your time to think this through.

Will: Well, it's a little late now, isn't it? The online edition of that article is probably posting as we speak. So...thanks...for the mixed signals, sonny. It's great to know that I have your support, up to a point. And what a perfect way to start this day. My name is Karen and I have diabetic nerve pain.

Aiden: [Sighs] So, Daniel made a citizen's arrest, huh? Must've been pretty crazy at the station.

Hope: Yeah, it was a little out of the blue.

Aiden: Yeah, yeah. Glad he's okay. I like him. Starting to think of him as a friend.

Hope: Really?

Aiden: Yeah, I mean he was welcoming when I got into town. Turns out we have some things in common.

Hope: Yeah, apparently you do.

JJ: I'm gonna take off and run some errands and then later I'm gonna meet up with Paige.

Jennifer: How does her mom feel about Paige deciding to stay in Salem?

JJ: Well, you know, let's just say that, uh, that she's not thrilled.

Mary Beth: Ms. Larson. Hi.

Eve: Hi sweetheart, how are you doing? Nice to see you.

Mary Beth: Um, I just talked to Paige. She told me that she's staying here, not going to Stanford.

Eve: Well, you never know. I mean, nothing is written in stone.

Paige: Mom, I'm here.

[Knocking on door]

Theresa: Paige? Oh my God, it's been forever. Do you remember me? I'm your aunty Theresa.

Ben: Sorry that took so long. Vendor was a lot further away than I thought. Hope she likes it.

Abigail: Well, I'm sure she will when she wakes up. She just fell asleep.

Ben: Uh, okay. Well, here, you take this, because I'm a little too macho to be sitting here holding a balloon.

Abigail: Oh, really?

Ben: Really.

Abigail: Okay.

Ben: Yeah, I'm kind of glad she fell asleep, though.

Abigail: Yeah, why is that?

Ben: Because I just wouldn't feel comfortable doing this if she was awake.

Abigail: Oh, damn!

Ben: I'll buy her another one.

Will: I was just thinking about how you delivered my daughter, obstructed justice, stole a gun from your uncle--all for me. So I probably shouldn't have lost my temper just now. It's not my finest hour.

Sonny: Married couples fight, especially when one of them is a jerk.

Will: It's just hard living so close to perfection.

Sonny: I wouldn't know. Well, I want you to know that I support you. Don't ever doubt that, okay? I'm just worried--I don't want there to be a fallout from this article and it come back on you.

Will: Are you looking for it right now?

Sonny: Yeah, I keep refreshing the true vista website and it's still not up.

Will: Ms. Browning said that it would be posted by now.

Sonny: Do you think your mom found a way to keep her from publishing it?

Kate: Well, whoever wrote that damn article is not going to get away with it. I am going to call the attorneys and we'll sue.

Sami: No, I mean, you can't do that--it's true. I read the whole article. All of it is true.

Kate: The truth doesn't really matter--we'll get an injunction, we'll stop the publication, and we'll make that mudslinging writer's life miserable.

Sami: No, all right, Kate, look, it's not going to do any good--you can't do that.

Kate: It's gonna make me feel better. Okay, wait. You saw it--what was in it?

Sami: Everything. Everything, from EJ's affair to the fact that I'm the one who gave the police the evidence that he had been evading taxes and--and--and the whole thing about how we tricked the board into making us CEOs.

Kate: Okay, all right, look, that's slander, that's libel-- it's one of those two.

Sami: It's the truth!

Kate: What difference... wait a minute, how could--how could anyone know this? Sami, who did you blab to?

Sami: No one.

Kate: Well, then who would know all those gory details? I know I didn't tell anyone. Elvis wouldn't tell anyone, Stefano wouldn't--that just leaves you!

Sami: It was will. Okay? It was my son, he's the one who wrote the article. Do you still want to make his life a living hell? What you see is brilliant, luminous haircolor.

Jennifer: Sorry about that.

Aiden: Oh...

Hope: Did JJ leave? Was he upset?

Jennifer: Uh, no, he's fine. He just had some errands he needed to run.

Hope: Maybe I should get going too.

Aiden: Uh, no, no, no, no. I'm the one who showed up out of the blue. So...

Hope: But you came here for a reason. Didn't you?

Aiden: You know what? I'm going, and I will call next time, okay? So I will see you ladies later.

Jennifer: Okay. Bye, Aiden.

Aiden: Okay, bye-bye.

Jennifer: You want to tell me what's going on here?

Mary Beth: Oh, boy. Look.

Eve: Who's the dude with the hair?

Mary Beth: That's Rory. He could play a very exciting dual role as dumb and dumber.

Eve: Well, I'm a little wary of first impressions, but he really doesn't look like he could set the world on fire, now, does he?

Mary Beth: No, not Rory. He was, like, the lamest guy at our high school--next to JJ, that is.

Rory: Dude, I'm so stoked. I got my mom--she knew somebody who could get me off the waiting list and into the Salem university class of 20...18? Dude, I'm gonna matriculate.

JJ: Well, I didn't know it meant that much to you.

Rory: No, it doesn't, but the party does. So tomorrow night, we are gonna celebrate the fact that, in this country, someone with my horrible grades, S.A.T. Scores lower than--than my bowling average and absolutely no discipline, can still get into college. Now, ain't that America?

JJ: Wait, wait, hold on. You have a bowling average?

Rory: What do you say we start of our college years with a party for the ages?

JJ: You know, I'll talk to Paige about it, but I don't think it'll be our thing.

Rory: What is your thing, bingo at the church hall?

Eve: JJ, hi. Who's your friend?

Rory: Rory, ma'am. I'm one of JJ's classmates at Salem U.

Eve: Ah, well Rory, it's nice to meet you. Would you be a prince and give me a few minutes alone with JJ?

Rory: Sure thing.

Eve: Okay.

Rory: Think about it, dude.

JJ: Hey.

Eve: Hey, dude. Sorry to have to say this, but I'm deeply disappointed in you.

Paige: If you're looking for my mom, she's not here.

Theresa: Oh, no, no, no. I was looking for you. Your grandpa Shane sent me some stuff, and this was in there for you. Come on, open it!

Paige: Thanks.

Theresa: Yeah. Go cardinals, right? [Laughs] Man, it has been forever. I mean, I knew about the straight as, Stanford--but nobody told me that you were drop-dead gorgeous.

Paige: Uh, I'm not.

Theresa: And modest, huh? God, I mean, guys love that combination--it kills. I bet you just have them lining up.

Paige: No, not really.

Theresa: Hmm. Oh, right, 'cause you're dating JJ Deveraux. You know, I don't know if he told you, but know him pretty well.

Paige: He did clue me in, actually, but I don't care.

Theresa: Well, you should. I mean, did I say that know him pretty well? I would like to amend that. I know him really, really well.

Paige: Look, if you're here to trash JJ, maybe you should just go.

Theresa: No, you're wrong. You and JJ, I think it's like the coolest thing ever.

Abigail: EJ?

EJ: Hey. Sorry, I, um... I really didn't mean to, uh, interrupt. It's good to see you.

Ben: Can't say the same, I'm afraid.

EJ: Right. Is that Arianna?

Ben: She's asleep.

Abigail: Yeah. You know, Ben, I think we should take a walk.

Ben: That's a good idea.

EJ: Hey, Abigail, just wait a minute.

Kate: Will wrote the article?

Sami: I went over there to make sure it was true, and he admitted it. In fact, he said that the reason he wrote it was because he was so unhappy with the way that I went after little, innocent Abby.

Kate: Imagine that.

Sami: I just can't believe that will did that to me.

Kate: Well, I can. You've always had a way of pushing his buttons, Sami. I just can't believe that he took me down too. Although... [Laughs] That explains something.

Sami: What?

Kate: Well, I was over there. I was over there the other day to see Arianna, and he had all kinds of questions about the takeover.

Sami: Are you serious? And you didn't think that was--I don't know, a little bit odd?

Kate: Well, of course my grandson is interested in my successes, Sami.

Sami: [Laughs] Oh, my God, yeah, he was. He was really interested, so interested he wrote an eight- page article about it for true vista magazine.

Kate: Oh, since when does he write for one of the biggest magazines in the region?

Sami: Since you gave him the scoop on us.

Kate: [Sighs] When does it come out?

Sami: Soon. They're putting highlights on their website today. I bookmarked the page if you want to look at it.

Kate: [Sighs] Okay, look, Sami, you know, it's one thing for the board to know that you and EJ aren't together, but if they find out all of the details of this--this takeover, how we tricked them--

Sami: Okay, okay, you're right. Doesn't matter how much money we make them, right? All right, I'll make some calls. We'll--we'll do damage control.

Kate: I'm gonna go to the office. I'll do the same thing. You know, the other thing... the board may not be our biggest problem, because if this article comes out and Stefano is publicly humiliated, that hit man that EJ's been talking about might become a reality.

JJ: I don't know what you mean.

Eve: I thought you told me you weren't going to pressure Paige to stay here in Salem.

JJ: I-I didn't. Ms. Larson, it was her decision.

Eve: Mm-hmm. I'm trying really hard to believe that, but I'm beginning to wonder if you're not so very much like your father.

JJ: I--you know what, don't go there--I swear, if you say anything against him--

Eve: See, that--that's it right there, you have his infamous Deveraux fire. JJ, I'm really trying hard to like you, son. Don't give me a reason not to. Okay?

Paige: You think it's cool that I'm dating JJ.

Theresa: Yes! Oh, my God! I mean you're finally having some fun. God, I mean, no, things didn't end well for us, but... I mean, I gotta tell ya, JJ is, like, the definition of fun. Hmm. You know, Paige, you and I have a lot more in common than just JJ.

Paige: Really?

Theresa: Well, our moms are both reformed high school bad girls. They are the worst. I mean, there are prison matrons who are more easygoing than them.

Paige: My mom's not like that.

Theresa: Yeah, not when you're walking straight and narrow. But really, I mean, hasn't she been having conniptions since she found out about you and JJ? Because she doesn't want you to have any fun. And more than anything, she doesn't want you hooking up with a party animal like JJ. [Laughs] I mean, I gotta tell ya, I miss those parties, if you know what I mean.

Paige: Not really.

Theresa: Oh come on, Paige, you don't have to be discreet with me--I'm all about keeping my mouth shut. So, if you and JJ ever get arrested or you're broke down in Tijuana, don't call your mom, just call me. That's what aunts are for, right? Oh, you look so great! [Laughs] That was fun.

EJ: I know Samantha told you what happened and she tried to put the worst possible spin on it.

Ben: Oh, there's a good spin?

Abigail: EJ...

EJ: She tried to make Abigail look bad, okay? Now, the truth is, none of what happened was her fault.

Ben: Trust me, I know whose fault it was.

EJ: Okay, look, it's been over for a long time. Okay? I would like Abigail to move on, I'd like her to be happy. Now, that means when you and I bump into one another, we don't have to run off in different directions. Okay? It's a small town, let's just try and be civil to one another. All right? For her sake.

Abigail: I agree.

EJ: Good. Okay, well, nice to see you both. Have a good day.

Ben: Aren't you going to congratulate me?

Abigail: Uh, for what?

Ben: Come on, with my track record, it is a miracle I didn't just knock the living daylights out of that guy.

Sami: Well, I just don't see why this article should make such a big difference, you know? After all, Kate and I have done such a great job so far with DiMera enterprises.

Chen: I agree, and I appreciate your filling me in before the story's released.

Sami: Well, you know, that's me, full disclosure, 24/7.

Chen: But Mrs. DiMera, please tell me that you and your husband have managed to reconcile since this article was written. It would go a long way to calming not only my concerns but those of my associates who aren't quite as--shall we say-- liberated...as I am.

Sami: Of course EJ and I are reconciled. Why else would we be living together?

Chen: That's very reassuring.

Sami: For me, as well. Uh, so no need to call an emergency meeting of the board, right?

Chen: No, not at the moment. But I hope you and ms. Roberts keep those profits rolling in.

Sami: Of course, we intend to. We have everything under control.

Will: Thank you. And I'm sorry to have bothered you. They're still going to release the article. They're just putting in some of my final changes.

Sonny: Changes? What--what changes?

Will: Um, just some stuff that ms. Browning wanted me to adjust.

Sonny: So it's not going to be the same article I read.

Will: Well, I mean, no, just--I tweaked it a little bit.

Sonny: Aw, man.

Will: What?

Sonny: I'm married to someone who says "tweaked."

[Knocking on door]

Kate: You know I love you, but I could strangle you right now. Wish you could give hair moisture

Hope: I go to new Orleans for a week, to come back to find you and Aiden dating? But it's fine, I mean--

Jennifer: What? No!

Hope: It's totally cool, but it's just--just seems a little, I mean, fast, right?

Jennifer: No. I was just telling JJ, we were gonna go to dinner together, just as friends--really.

Hope: Oh. I obviously completely misinterpreted what Aiden said.

Jennifer: Right, but the idea of it being a date really bothered you.

Hope: Because I don't want you giving up on Daniel so quickly, cuz.

Jennifer: Well, when I saw Daniel last night, he made it very clear that he doesn't want me around. So it seems to me, I would just be stupid not to give up.

Hope: I'm so sorry.

[Phone ringing]

Jennifer: Shoot, I'm sorry. I'm sure it's work. It is. I have a crisis to take care of. Sorry.

Hope: And you know what, I know I have a pile of paperwork waiting for me at the station. Let's get together and have lunch and really catch up.

Jennifer: Yes. I want to hear all about new Orleans and what went on. Love you.

Hope: Ooh, it's very European. I love you, cuz. Wait, uh, purse, wait--

Jennifer: Yes, oh, here.

Hope: Thank you.

Jennifer: Love you.

Hope: Lunch!

Jennifer: Yes.

Hope: I wanna know what's been going on here.

Will: So, mom told you about the article.

Kate: Yes, she did. And I'm headed into the office now to do damage control. But first, I want some answers.

Will: I already told mom that I think I was justified in writing it. All I did was tell the truth. That's it.

Kate: Okay, really? And in doing that, you jeopardized everything that she and I have worked for. And you weren't honest about it. It never occurred to me that you would be so deceitful.

Will: After years of watching you and mom and dad operate... what did you expect?

Sami: I'm gonna miss you guys.

EJ: Hey, just grabbing some water and then I'll go.

Sami: No, wait. Um, I--I have to talk to you about something.

EJ: Really? More charges against me?

Sami: No. Um, no. I--I have to talk to you about the kids, um... I think it's a good idea for them to go to sleep-a-way camp for a couple weeks. Um, they've been talking about it. As long as it's okay with you, they could go today.

EJ: Fine. That's a good idea.

Sami: Good, I'm glad we're on the same page.

EJ: Yeah, I know important that is to you. So, um, what is the plan here, exactly? We send the kids away for a couple of weeks, they get some fresh air, they come back and... I'm gone?

Sami: No. What? Why would you be gone?

EJ: Because you've changed your mind--you've clearly decided to throw me out.

Sami: I'm not gonna throw you out, EJ, as long as you're telling the truth about cutting ties with Kristen.

EJ: Which I am.

Sami: Then there's no reason that you shouldn't live here.

EJ: What is going on?

Sami: Hmm?

EJ: Why are you acting so differently?

Hope: You know what's strange, Mr. Jennings?

Aiden: Hello again.

Hope: I thought you went out on a date with Jennifer last night.

Aiden: Oh, no. No, no, no. She, uh, she had to cancel. Because of all the craziness with Kristen DiMera.

Hope: Hmm.

Aiden: Besides, you know, it wasn't A...date date.

Hope: Why did I think it was?

Aiden: I have...no idea.

Hope: Oh, actually, I think you do, Mr. Jennings.

Rory: Wow. I'll say what I only thought at graduation, man--ms. Larson is smokin'! I can't decide who's hotter-- her or your mom.

JJ: Rory, shut up.

Rory: You know what? I think she kind of liked me.

JJ: Oh, yeah? Well, uh, unfortunately, she really hates me.

Eve: Hi, honey! I'm sorry I'm late. I was shopping, and I--

Paige: I'm going to ask you a question, and I want the truth. Did you send "aunty Theresa" here to talk to me?

Abigail: EJ kind of ruined the moment, didn't he?

Ben: He only ruined it if we let him. So let's not let him.

Abigail: Okay.

Sonny: Will, don't you think you're being a little harsh?

Kate: No. No, that's all right. It's true; his parents and I have not been good role models. But I want you to know that anything I did was never meant to hurt the people I love-- not like what you're doing with this article.

Will: I'm sure mom would say the same thing. And yet you both end up hurting the people that you claim to love.

Kate: I better go.

Will: G-grandma-- I'm sorry that you got dragged into this. I hope you know that I love you.

Hope: I love you too. I love you dearly. I'm just surprised that we turned out to be so much alike.

Sami: I don't know what you're talking about, EJ. I'm not acting differently.

EJ: So I will assume that Kate relayed my warning about pushing my father too far. As I told her and William, Samantha, I just want to protect you.

Sami: You talked to will too?

EJ: Yeah, I did. He was willing to hear me out. He's been a very reasonable young man.

Sami: Right. Right, well, thank you, uh, for doing that. I have to get back to work.

EJ: Right. Sorry to interrupt. I know you too well. You're up to something.

Sami: Somehow I don't think you're gonna think that will was acting very reasonably when you read that article, EJ. God, I hope that doesn't ruin everything.
