Episode #12382 ~ Eric asks Nicole for a favor; Daniel gives Brady grim news; Theresa worries her lies will be exposed.
Provided By Suzanne
Nicole: Eric... what are you doing here?
Eric: I belong here.
Nicole: But you said...
Eric: That I'd never forgive you? I had to because I love you.
Nicole: Mm. [Groans]
[Cell phone clatters]
Jennifer: Maybe Aiden can see me today.
Jennifer: What are you doing here?
Eve: Jenn, we both know that we need to sit down and discuss the... book.
Brady: Hey. Will you please tell me some good news? That I didn't destroy my father's life?
John: All I need to know about you is what you did to my son and why your father gave up on you.
Theresa: Don't talk to me about my father!
John: I'm calling it the way it is.
Theresa: Like hell you are.
John: You really think that I don't know all the grief you've caused your family and how they really feel about you--
Theresa: Damn it, just shut up!
John: You are a complete embarrassment to them.
Theresa: I said shut up! Just stay away from him! He hates you!
John: Just back off! [Groans]
Abe: You okay?
Theresa: Um... look, Brady's with john, and he's a total mess. He's really worried.
Hope: How about you?
Theresa: Well, of course I'm worried. Look, we all are.
Hope: I meant how are you holding up? Abe filled me in on what happened.
Abe: We were hoping you could tell us your story again.
Theresa: It's not a story, okay? It's what happened.
Abe: Okay. Okay.
Theresa: I told you, okay? John was attacking Brady. And Brady--he was just defending himself as best as he could. I mean, end of story.
Hope: He hit john with the fireplace poker?
Abe: Yeah, about that... we--we lifted two sets of prints off that poker. Now we know who they belong to. One set of prints belong to Brady. There's no surprise there.
Hope: But the other print-- that belonged to Victor.
Theresa: Well, for God sakes, it's his house. I mean, his prints are all over everything. That makes perfect sense.
Hope: Well, in a way.
Abe: The print we lifted off of the poker was a single print... just a partial.
Hope: Which leads us to believe that someone deliberately wiped the poker clean.
Abe: And that doesn't jibe with what you told us last night.
Daniel: I wish I could give you something to hang on to. We're running more tests, trying to determine what's going on with john's coma. Probably the best thing for you to do is get some rest and--
Brady: No, I-I... I just want to know what's going on. I want to know what happened.
Daniel: Yeah. Okay, well, I'll check back later and see what I can find.
Brady: Thanks, man. [Sniffles] [Sighs] I don't understand. I never wanted this. How could I do this? Maybe that's... maybe that's why I don't remember because I've turned into... someone who could do this to their own father.
Theresa: For God sakes, what are you saying, that I wiped the poker clean?
Abe: No, we're just trying--
Theresa: But somehow I left Brady's print on it, yeah?
Hope: Theresa, we need to--
Theresa: I mean, for God sakes, haven't you guys ever heard of maids? I mean, the place is a mansion. It's got servants crawling out of the woodwork. They're cleaning everything every day.
Abe: No, we--look, we understand that, and it's very possible that the poker was wiped down before the fight.
Hope: It's just a little odd, that's all.
Abe: And then there's the position of the bodies. They could not have possibly been on the floor in exactly--
Theresa: I mean, seriously, Mr. Carver, you really need to start writing things down, and then, hey, my aunt hope here-- she could be, like, your sidekick.
Theresa: I mean... [Scoffs] I already told you I was just going to see if they were all right.
Hope: So naturally she moved them, Abe.
Theresa: Yes. I mean, since when did caring whether someone was dead or alive turn into a crime?
Abe: No one's saying that, Theresa.
Hope: Theresa, what's confusing here is that you can only move them so much.
Abe: Brady would've had to have swung that poker with tremendous force. But the damage that john suffered just isn't possible if Brady was standing that close.
Hope: That's right.
Hope: So the bodies must have been moved quite a distance for them--
Aiden: Sorry if I'm interrupting.
Hope: What are you doing here?
Aiden: I got a call from--
Theresa: From me. Yeah. I hired him.
Eve: Jenn, being rude like that does not accomplish anything.
Jennifer: Are you kidding me right now? Did you really just walk into my house?
Eve: Well, I was just wondering if maybe we could just be a little bit more adult today.
Jennifer: Oh, well, I'm just wondering how long it will take for the police to get here.
Eve: Oh, well, great. Well, why don't you call 'em? Let's see how fast they can get here, and when they do get here, we'll have your daughter brought up on assault and battery.
Jennifer: Excuse me? Well, then they'll have to charge you too, because from what I heard, she was provoked. And you gave as good as you got. And for your information, my daughter has been very stressed out lately. So, if you could just give her a break--
Eve: Oh, well, boo-hoo. That gives her a right to hit people? I mean, you really need to be more reasonable, Jenn.
Jennifer: No, you need to be reasonable, because I made you a deal--50% of everything...
Jennifer: And you didn't want it. You're not satisfied because you want a fight. Well, congratulations. You just got one.
Eve: [Scoffs] When your baby is ready to explore the world,
Eve: You know, Jenn, I don't want a fight, and I get it. I-I know. You're angry with me.
Jennifer: Oh, really? You think?
Eve: Yeah, and that's why you're not listening to what I'm saying. And I know, apparently, you're happy with the movie rights going to that so-called "reputable" producer.
Jennifer: Right, because he is going to protect jack's material.
Eve: Well, he might. But there are other producers out there that would do exactly the same and--and pay more for the privilege.
Jennifer: Oh, I see.
Eve: Why do you want to dump jack's book for a penance? You know that he cared about the veterans. That's all he cared about.
Jennifer: Don't you pretend you know what jack would've wanted. You want your hands on more money, and that's--
Eve: Okay, you know what? You're right. I do want what's coming to me, but I'm also look-- Jenn, I'm also looking out for your son and my daughter.
Jennifer: Excuse me?
Eve: Right. I mean, do you really want them going at each other just because we're having a little squabble?
Jennifer: Oh, my goodness. You are going to use our children as a pawn to get what you want? Get out of my house...
Jennifer: Right now.
Jennifer: Get out of my house!
Eve: Stop manhandling me.
Jennifer: I made you a deal.
Eve: I just thought that we could talk about this. You're not being very ladylike.
Jennifer: And guess what. You're not getting a penny or a cent.
Eve: What, Jenn?
Jennifer: Get out of my house!
Eve: Jenn, stop it! Jenn, you're being unreason-- oh, you locked it! You bitch.
Nicole: Hi. It's me. Are you at the hospital?
Daniel: Yeah, I'm busy.
Nicole: Got ya. Um... I was hoping we could meet later. Coffee, maybe?
Daniel: Okay, look, things are crazy here. I'm sure you know why.
Nicole: People dropping like flies because of this heat?
Daniel: You haven't checked the news lately?
Nicole: Yeah. Sami Brady is taking over DiMera enterprises. I just ate. Thanks. But I can still have coffee. You think?
Daniel: No. No, here's what I think. You said you cared about Eric. You didn't. You said our friendship really meant something. It didn't... which means you are the same person you've always been. The only one who matters is you. Have your coffee alone.
Nicole: Daniel, that's not-- wait. I-- Daniel?
[Knock at door]
Hope: Theresa, you thought you needed a lawyer?
Theresa: No, it's for Brady. With all this talk about fingerprints and moving bodies, you guys are clearly trying to build a case, after I told you that it was self-defense. Hey, just so you know, I tried to hire Brady's cousin Justin Kiriakis, but he's, like, in Dubai or something.
Theresa: But you came up really quickly. You seem to be on everybody's short list.
Aiden: That's good to know.
Theresa: I just want to make sure that I'm protecting my husband's interests, that's all.
Aiden: Of course.
Hope: Wait a minute. Your husband?
Brady: What's going on?
Theresa: Oh, good. You're here. Say hello to Aiden Jennings. He'll do the talking from now on.
Hope: Brady, we're just trying to put things together, make sense of what happened--
Theresa: They're trying to make sure that you get arrested.
Brady: No, no, no. Hold it. Hold it. Hold it. Hold it. I don't want a lawyer. I don't need a lawyer. If you have any questions, I will answer them. This whole thing is my fault.
Brady: I'm not running away from this. Stop. I'm guilty.
Theresa: Look, Brady, don't say stuff like that. It's not--it's not true.
Aiden: Whatever the situation, never a good idea talking to the police without a lawyer.
Brady: Hey, thank you. Listen, I'm good. Thanks for coming. I don't need you.
Aiden: Your call.
Abe: Look, why don't we all have a seat over here?
Theresa: Hey, um, listen, thank you for coming. I really appreciate it, and, um, just don't--don't turn your cell phone off, okay?
Aiden: I have some other clients to see in the hospital, so I-I won't be far, okay?
Aiden: All right.
Brady: Seriously, I-I want this cleared up as much as you do, so ask away.
Theresa: No, Brady--
Hope: Wait. Theresa, excuse me. It's best we talked to Brady alone. Why don't you go wait over there?
Theresa: But I--no, I just-- I'm the only witness, remember? I mean, I don't want you to just sit here and put words into Brady's mouth.
Brady: Listen! Hey! Stop. I'm good. Go to the waiting room, okay? Please.
Brady: All right, so listen... listen, I want to help. I don't remember anything. My memory is a blank.
Abe: Look... from the get-go, Theresa is saying you acted in self-defense. Now, she repeated that this morning.
Hope: Brady, you're not saying anything. Does that mean you have your doubts and that Theresa has it wrong?
Theresa: Don't do anything stupid, Brady, okay? You--you didn't do anything wrong.
Eve: Who didn't do anything wrong?
Theresa: What the hell are you doing here, Eve?
Eve: Well, I had an appointment, you know, about my throat surgery, but the doctor's in Chicago, and, of course, nobody called to even tell me about it. I'll just add that to my peachy encounter with Jenn this morning. Of course, your warm, little greeting here's just the perfect start to a perfect...
Eve: Day. What-- don't get any coffee on your tacky dress. Honey, hey. Hey. What's going on? Look at me. What's wrong? You're pale. You've got dark circles under your eyes.
Theresa: You know what? I've been here all night, Eve, okay?
Eve: Oh, my God. What have you done now?
Eric: Do you have a minute?
Nicole: I, uh... sure. Come on in. So what do you want?
Eric: I need to ask a favor.
Eric: It's about Sami.
Nicole: Oh, my favorite subject. That Sami's taken over DiMera enterprises--is that it?
Eric: Yes and no. You're gonna hear a lot of negative comments about her. You probably already have.
Nicole: Oh, we are talking about Sami.
Eric: Well, the thing is, it could start to snowball-- everyone piling on. What I'm asking is, is that you don't make it worse.
Eric: You have news to report, and I get that. I just... I just want you to show some restraint. I know you two don't care for each other, but she has children.
Eric: I take it as A...
Nicole: As what?
Eric: As a personal favor.
Nicole: Yeah, okay. You know I'd do anything for you.
Eric: Thank you.
Nicole: You look tired. You want to sit?
Eric: No, I'm gonna get going.
Nicole: Eric, wait. Please. Vo: Sadly, Angela's gotten used to the odor her cat leaves in the couch,
Eric: What? What, Nicole? What?
Nicole: Well, you came all the way over here. So, I mean, why rush off?
Eric: I asked a favor. You said yes, and I'm done.
Nicole: Well, maybe I'm not. Look, the fact that you came all the way over here, even if it was just for a favor, it's something, at least it is to me. It's kind of like a baby step. I can hope. One baby step here, one baby step there.
Eric: Nicole, really?
Nicole: Seriously... how many homilies did you give on hope? And what, now it's wrong? It's wrong to hope that maybe someday we could be friends again? Look, I know you're tired of hearing it. But if one of us doesn't push, then it's never gonna happen. Look, just this morning I was on the phone with Daniel, saying, "you know what? Maybe we should just get some coffee together."
Eric: Did he say yes? Did he?
Nicole: No, not in so many words.
Eric: I'm sure it was one word... "no."
Jennifer: Oh, my gosh. I was just calling you.
Aiden: Hey, what's going on? What's up?
Jennifer: Okay, do you remember when I said I was gonna sit down with Eve one-on-one and try to hammer out a deal?
Aiden: Yeah, yeah. Here, sit down.
Jennifer: Okay, well, this is the deal. You are going to hammer her. She does not get one penny, not one cent, Aiden.
Aiden: Wow. Sounds like someone's ready for a fight.
Jennifer: Oh, I'm ready to fight if you're ready.
Aiden: Definitely am. Like I said, when I looked at that annulment document, I felt I have a really good shot at getting it thrown out, but what happened? What happened with Eve?
Jennifer: Let's just put it this way. There are some people that you can always count on to do the wrong thing.
Theresa: What the hell, Eve? I mean, why does everyone always assume that I'm doing something wrong?
Eve: Well, it's because it's what you do.
Theresa: I've had a really rough morning, okay? And a hell of a night. And right now I'm just really worried about my husband, who--
Eve: Oh, wait, wait. Back it up here. Hus--husband?
Theresa: Yes, Brady black, and he's terrific, okay? Don't--don't tell dad, please.
Eve: Well, sorry, but I am your sort of sister, and that is kind of family news, right?
Theresa: Yeah, but just don't say anything yet. Please, Eve, I-- look, it was last night. It was kind of an impulse thing, and I--
Eve: Oh, my God. Don't tell me. You put your husband in the hospital on his wedding night? What, did you snag some old geezer and have so much sex...
Theresa: Oh, my God.
Eve: That you gave him a heart attack?
[Laughing] Is that what you did?
Theresa: No, Eve! I just-- look, it wasn't my husband, okay? It was his father. There was this... horrible fight. I mean, it was an accident, really. It was an accident, and--
Eve: Oh, my God. How many accidents do you have a month? Okay, I'm gonna repeat this. What did you do?
Theresa: [Crying] Seriously, Eve... [Sniffles] I could just really use some support right now, maybe a little help. But you know what? You always--you always have to cut me down. Just get the hell out of here, all right? Just--no, just get out. I don't want to-- no, get the hell out of here!
Eve: Come on, now.
Theresa: Look, I didn't do anything. I... [Sighs] I didn't do anything wrong. That's how it's gonna stay.
Brady: I was drunk... last night. I was deep down drunk. There's no way to know what I wanted to do or what I meant to do. [Sighs] No judgment whatsoever.
Hope: Henderson said he could hear yelling, even from the servants' rooms.
Abe: You know, maybe the two of you were mixing it up... and it wasn't necessarily self-defense.
Brady: [Stammers] Look, I know that's what Theresa said. I just--I don't know if it was self-defense or--
Hope: Brady... you married Theresa last night, but you're not wearing your wedding ring.
Abe: You think you and john were fighting about Theresa?
Hope: Daniel... any word?
Brady: Just--just say it.
Daniel: Well, your father's physical condition has been upgraded from critical to stable.
Brady: Oh, thank God.
Daniel: But he has slipped deeper into a coma.
Brady: I don't--"deeper"? I don't understand.
Daniel: If it were a medically induced coma, essentially, the doctors are in control, and we could bring him back at any moment. But this is different, and john... well, john has gone deeper, and, uh...
Brady: And you can't bring him back?
Daniel: We are not in control.
Brady: What are you-- what are you saying?
Daniel: We don't know if he'll ever wake up.
Eric: It's written in your eyes, Nicole. Daniel said, "no."
Nicole: And what, that makes you happy? You get to kick me one more time?
Eric: You know me better than that. And I think it's time that you faced the truth. You lied to Daniel. He trusted you to do the right thing, and you used him. And now you think you can just casually say, "hey, let's go grab some coffee," and all is forgiven? It doesn't work that way.
Nicole: Fine! I get it! I was an idiot. And how dare I ask for forgiveness? My life is a disaster on two feet, and it should stay that way forever because I'm worthless, right? Right?
Daniel: Brady, I want to stay positive. I really do. But as of now, it's really up to john. His brain needs time to heal. Look, it's like a computer. It shuts down to save energy. It goes into safe mode. And the brain can heal. And if it does, we're going somewhere. If not..
Brady: If not--I-I got it. If we're done--
Abe: Yeah, sure. Go see your dad.
Brady: Thanks, man.
Daniel: Yeah, hang in there. Okay, FYI, I'm handing john's case off to the staff.
Hope: You got him through the surgery.
Daniel: I did. He just needs long-term care right now.
Abe: Yeah, thanks for everything, man.
Daniel: No, no, you bet. It's--you know, it's been a long night, so I'm gonna swing by the pub and get something to eat, okay?
Maxine: And then you'll go home and get some rest, right?
Daniel: Uh, no. I will come back here and do my rounds.
Hope: Take care.
Daniel: All right, I'll see you later.
Hope: Bye. I'll make some notes.
Abe: Yeah. Right. Yeah, things are pretty vague, but, hey...
Hope: Hey, listen, when Brady said--
Theresa: [Sighs] [Sighs] I can't stand this. I--
Eve: Daniel? [Laughs] I didn't know that you were gonna be here. Wow.
Hope: You're back. I thought Brady said he didn't need a lawyer.
Aiden: Well, I have a few other clients to see here in the hospital today.
Aiden: Yeah. So my, uh, message box has been filled with compliments about the--the gala.
Hope: Yeah, uh, mine too.
Aiden: It was a very good night for us... and for the gala.
Theresa: Ugh, for Pete's sake, do I get a rest?
Abe: I am just trying to get a handle on what's going on. This is not a witch-hunt.
Theresa: Oh, well, you could've fooled me. I mean, what, do you think I'm just making this up? Look, I know what I saw. Brady was just defending himself.
Aiden: Okay, folks, I'm going to insist that if there are any more questions that they be asked in a formal setting in my presence, okay?
Theresa: Thank you.
Theresa: Now, uh, w-where's Brady now?
Hope: Theresa, I am sure no one meant to make you feel uncomfortable.
Abe: Brady's in with his dad.
Theresa: Well, then that's where I should be, with my husband. Mr. Jennings? Thank you. I mean, they know I'm just way too upset. I can't--I can't think straight. I mean, they're trying to put words in my mouth.
Aiden: Okay, look, they put a pin in it for now, but if you need me, call, okay?
Theresa: Thank you.
Theresa: [Breathes shakily] Brady... how's he doing?
Brady: Answer me a question first.
Brady: I know what you said about what happened last night. But what I need to know is... were you lying? So, duke, what do you think of our new bush's baked beans video game?
Hope: Theresa seems, uh... pretty jumpy, huh?
Abe: You know, there are really only three alternatives. "A," she's telling the truth. "B," she's lying to protect Brady.
Hope: And trying to cover things up, making sure he can't be charged.
Abe: Or "c"...
Hope: She did it herself. Well, that's a stretch... right?
Abe: Forensics is telling us that there's nothing to contradict what she's saying. The trouble is... Theresa's the one saying it.
Hope: Yeah. But, you know, I can see why she's so jumpy, though. If she does anything, anything at all that breaks the terms of her probation, going back to L.A. Means going to prison for her.
Abe: You know she's not gonna change her story. So we just have to wait for Brady or john to fill in the blanks.
Hope: Only john is in a coma, and Brady has no memory.
Theresa: "Lying"? [Scoffs] Seriously, Brady? I mean, you think I would lie about something like this?
Brady: Theresa, listen, yeah, yeah, I do. I think you would to protect me. So I need to know, were you lying? Tell me.
Theresa: No, Brady, listen to me. Okay, listen... look, I swear you didn't do anything wrong, okay? John was... he was attacking you, and I saw it. And you were just defending yourself. I mean, look, come on, I know that you feel bad about what happened, but no one's going to blame you for doing what you had to do, okay? You understand that, right?
Brady: You know what I need?
Theresa: Yeah, you need some rest.
Brady: No, what I need-- I need a meeting. I need a meeting. Marlena should be back in a little while, and it's probably best I'm not here when she gets here.
Theresa: A meeting?
Brady: Yeah, things, uh... things need to change for me.
Theresa: Okay. Okay, look, I'll just go with you.
Hope: Uh... it's hard to know what to say to you... I mean if you might be representing Brady or Theresa.
Aiden: Well, if it becomes official, I'll speak up.
Hope: Uh, last night, um... at the gala, the way I took off with Ciara--
Aiden: Hey... no problem. You know, we still have to get together, do a write-up about how the evening went, maybe make some suggestions for next year, but I can do that myself.
Hope: Well, I can handle that... on my own.
Maxine: Brady's a mess, can't remember a thing. And his dad--honey, that man is in deep trouble.
Jennifer: Daniel was the surgeon?
Maxine: Oh, yeah. Otherwise, Mr. Black wouldn't even be alive. And guess what. He's going over to the pub to get something to eat. Then he's coming back to make rounds.
Jennifer: I know. He drives himself too hard.
Maxine: It's probably because he's lonely.
Eve: So you sure it's all right if I join you here?
Daniel: Ah, of course.
Eve: Thank you.
Eve: Well, I mean, look at you. You're looking a little tired there, my friend.
Daniel: Yeah, well...
Eve: Did you have an early call?
Daniel: No, no, no, more like an all-nighter, you know, an emergency. Managed to save the patient. Just a--it's a tough situation, though. Yeah. What? What is it?
Eve: I hate to pry, but that emergency didn't have anything to do with my little sister, Theresa, did it?
Daniel: Yeah, I can't really talk about the case.
Eve: Okay, I get it. I get it. Just, I... I saw her earlier, and I don't know. I just--what can I say? Trouble just seems to follow that girl around.
Daniel: Oh, yeah, I hear you. I hear you.
Eve: I mean, I know I'm no saint, but Theresa-- whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo. Daddy asked me to check in on her, but I'm telling you, that is one tough job.
Daniel: Yeah, well, I'm sure you're doing the best you can.
Eric: I'm not sure what I'm supposed to say to that, Nicole. After what you did...
Nicole: After what I did? What I did, I did because I loved you and you loved me, remember? Or did you forget about that? Okay, you know what? I-I was weak... too weak because I was afraid to lose you, so I lied. I lied, and I--and I fought, and I did anything I could. What, now I'm this horrible person, right, who's not worth a minute of your time? Until you need a favor.
Aiden: I'm sorry.
Hope: No, I'm sorry.
Aiden: You know, I just assumed that--
Hope: Exactly. You... because of this case, we probably shouldn't be having private meetings or actually, um... anything else that could be misconstrued.
Aiden: Okay. Okay, I'll do the post-gala stuff on my own, so...
Hope: Thank you.
Aiden: You're welcome. I got to go. Okay.
Brady: I'm gonna hit that meeting alone. There's lots of things I need to get a handle on.
Theresa: Oh. Okay.
Brady: We'll, uh, we'll talk about the marriage later. But I don't want to be late for the meeting, so we'll deal with that later.
Theresa: Yeah, it's no problem. I hope it helps.
Brady: It has to. It better... 'cause I need to make some changes.
Theresa: Hey, um... about your dad, did they say--
Brady: The doctors ran more tests, Theresa. They said he's in... a deeper coma... maybe permanent.
Theresa: [Sighs] Permanent, okay.
Eve: Oh, I am being a total, total downer. And I'm so sorry. It's the last thing that you need after a tough night.
Daniel: Ah, no, no, no.
Eve: So tell me-- how is Parker? Is he still with his mom?
Daniel: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. But we'll touch base tonight.
Eve: Aw. You miss him a lot, don't you?
Daniel: Oh, I do.
Eve: You know, I can remember the first time I had to go away out of town on business, and I left Paige with a friend of mine.
Eve: And I got this really vague email. "Sorry about Paige's hair." Well, hell, I didn't know what that meant, and she'd shut off her phone. So I just stewed, and I stewed, and I stewed, and I thought, "I just can't take it anymore." So I got in the car, and I just drove all the way back home. And the whole time I'm thinking, "oh, my gosh," you know, "maybe she got too close to the stove. Oh, my gosh, it's my fault. Something's bad happened to her." So I get there. I walk in only to find that Paige had decided to wear her food on her head.
Daniel: [Laughing] Oh, no.
Eve: Oh, yeah. And my friend--she had shampooed her hair, and Paige had all these little curls just all over her hair and going every which way.
Daniel: Oh, my gosh.
Eve: Of course, I felt like a total, total idiot.
Daniel: Oh, no, no, no, no.
Eve: No, I was the idiot.
Daniel: Every parent has that moment where their kid decides to just--brrh--dump everything on their hair.
Eve: You too? Parker?
Daniel: Oh, yeah. Oh, my God, in spades. I got so many pictures.
Eve: Oh, show me. Show me, show me, show me.
Daniel: You want to see?
Eve: Yes, I'd love to.
Daniel: Oh, my God. Wait till you see this kid.
Eve: Okay, well, we'll just have to see. We'll have a battle here-- battle of the hairdos.
Daniel: All right, look at that, look at that.
Eve: Oh, that's great.
Daniel: Right? Guess who had to clean it up.
[Muffled laughter, indistinct conversation]
Nicole: You come here, here, of all places, and you ask for a little favor, but God forbid should I ask you for one minute of your time.
Eric: What do you want?
Nicole: You said you loved me. I don't know--maybe to treat me like a person.
Eric: And how did you treat me, like a person or a prize?
Nicole: I loved you! I did what I did because I loved you.
Eric: No, you loved the idea of love, but you didn't love me. I don't know what it was, but it wasn't love.
Nicole: You son of a bitch,
