Maggie: Okay, JJ, smile.
Jennifer: Oh, okay.
Maggie: Ah, ah...but in a well-educated way, please?
Jennifer: And put this diploma in the picture, please.
Maggie: [Laughs] Okay.
JJ: I bet there were days when you didn't think I'd get one of these.
Maggie: Ah, good one.
Jennifer: Oh, no, I never, ever, ever had a doubt in my mind.
JJ: You are such a liar.
Jennifer: [Laughs] You may have taken the complicated route, but I always knew, in the end, you'd be all right.
JJ: Which is just another way of saying that I put you through hell, but... mom, really, just--thank you, for hanging in there.
Jennifer: Aw, I love you, baby.
JJ: Thank you, I love you, too.
Jennifer: [Laughs] Let me see this again.
Abigail: JJ, hi.
Abigail: I am so sorry I'm late.
Jennifer: Hey, honey. I got your text, what happened?
Maggie: Sami's right. Because she's sure that her big day is more important than anyone else's big day.
Abigail: I-it wasn't Sami. It was EJ. He was arrested.
Hope: So, let me get this straight. You just arrested EJ at his wedding?
Rafe: That's right. Unfortunately for Sami, it was after she said, "I do."
EJ: Hernandez couldn't pull this off by himself. He had to have help. I can't believe I didn't see this coming. All the signs point to one person. The architect of this whole situation. Stefano.
Marlena: Hi there.
Marlena: Your text sounded important. Couldn't Giselle get her shoes dyed to match her gown? Oh, what's the matter?
Roman: Good news and bad news.
Marlena: Uh, good news.
Roman: EJ was arrested. Bad news, it happened after he and Sami tied the knot.
Sami: So you think Stefano's behind this?
EJ: Who else had access to my financial records, hmm? Who else would take pleasure in my pain, and in publicly ruining our bloody wedding?
Sami: Well, at least he didn't stop the wedding.
EJ: That's not the point. No, he didn't want to stop the wedding. He wants to make sure I wasn't at the board meeting. Bloody hypocrite. All his talk about wanting to work together, and wanting to be a family. He just wants the same thing he's always wanted...control.
Sami: Well, he doesn't care who he hurts, does he?
EJ: No, he still resents that power play that I made a year ago. And this is his way of just trying to publicly humiliate me.
Sami: Oh, my God.
Sami: Kate. Obviously, Kate is behind this with him, right? She has Stefano's ear.
EJ: That's one way of putting it...
Sami: You know what I mean. Just, know how much she hates me, she hates the fact that you and I are together... but you know what that means, EJ, together, you and I have to fight this. We can not let Stefano win, not now. Not after we are finally together... now that we are finally husband and wife.
Hope: The state tax people say they got a tip. This is a, um, pretty detailed tip, don't you think?
Rafe: Oh, yeah, yeah. What's your point?
Hope: My point is, it looks like someone wanted him to get caught.
Rafe: Well, yeah. Anyone who's ever met him wants him to get caught--with the exception of Sami, of course. What's wrong? I thought you'd be happy about this.
Hope: Oh, I'm always happy when there's a DiMera behind bars. Unfortunately, they rarely stay there. And--there's also how detailed the tip was. And, um, the timing.
Rafe: You mean that it was engineered to happen on his wedding day? Oh. I've seen that look before, that's how you look at suspects. You think I had something to do with this? You think that I tried to stop Sami from marrying him?
Paige: We got here so late, I didn't get a chance to say "hi" to JJ.
Eve: She's mad at me because I took so long to get ready. But I told her, "honey, it takes a little longer than it does at 18." [Laughs]
Paige: Yeah...look, I think we should go say hello.
Eve: Oh, well, it looks like the Hortons are in the middle of, um, something serious. And the Jenn Horton I knew from long ago didn't deal well with crises.
Marybeth: You knew JJ's mom?
Eve: Oh, yeah. Jenn and I share a lot of, um, interests.
Abigail: So, the only good thing was that Sami's kids had already left, so that they didn't see Rafe dragging EJ out in handcuffs.
Maggie: [Sighs] Well, we wouldn't want Sami to have a dull wedding.
Abigail: And, that's why I'm late, but I'm--I'm so sorry, because, JJ, I am so proud of you!
JJ: Yeah, quite an accomplishment.
Abigail: It is.
JJ: I graduated high school. Cum diploma.
JJ: But, Paige, she--she got like 11 gazillion awards.
Maggie: Uh, Paige. That is the genius girlfriend you're always talking about?
JJ: Oh, but sh--she's actually right over there, so I'm gonna go get her, yeah?
Maggie: Eve? Eve Donovan. [Exhales] Oh, my God.
JJ: Wait, did you say, uh, Eve Donovan? Let me get this straight...
Rory: Well, I won a bet with my mom and brother. They didn't think I'd actually graduate. When they pay me, maybe we could, uh, have a little party ourselves?
Bev: Huh, what?
Rory: Come on, Bev, you just graduated. It's time to get over your high school sweetheart.
Bev: Shut up, Rory. Shut up.
Eve: Maggie! Oh, my goodness, you are ageless and still so beautiful. It is just wonderful, wonderful, to see you again. [Laughs]
Maggie: Oh, my goodness. When did you get back?
Eve: Oh...Jennifer didn't tell you? Oh, well, you know what? I'm glad, because I love surprising you.
Maggie: Oh, well, you surprised me, all right. So, how long will you be in Salem?
Eve: Oh, I'm not going anywhere. No, I'm here to stay. [Laughs]
Hope: Rafe, I wasn't accusing you. I was just--I was thinking out loud.
Hope: Believe me, you're not the only person who thought Sami marrying EJ was a huge, giant mistake. What?
Rafe: Well-- no, th--there was a snag getting the warrant. Had everything gone smoothly, I would have been there before they said their vows.
Hope: Yeah, but there was a snag.
Hope: And now, Sami will be applying for conjugal visits.
Rafe: Yeah, but maybe there's another motivation, besides screwing up the wedding. I was thinking about the timing, too, and so I made some calls. And guess who is having their annual board meeting.
Hope: DiMera enterprises?
EJ: Hey. You are not going to lose me, okay? And though I deeply regret that I'm spending my wedding night apart from you, my lawyer assures me I'll be out in time for the board meeting.
Sami: Well, that's what's important.
EJ: Look, I'm...sorry. I know that's not the most romantic thing to say, but--
Sami: No, it's true. It is what's most important. I mean, we have to move on with our lives. And we have to prove to Stefano that we are stronger than he is.
EJ: That's right.
Sami: I mean, I am still scared. Stefano has an entire network at his disposal, of people who will do whatever he wants. And, what if he is determined to keep you from-- from that board room? I mean, if he...
EJ: Shh, I don't want you to worry, okay?
Sami: I have to worry. I can't do anything else to help you.
EJ: You have done plenty.
Sami: No, I haven't. I haven't done enough.
EJ: Yes, you have. You whacked Rafe with that bouquet...
EJ: And come all the way down here in your wedding dress. Let me put this another way. I know what I'm fighting for. You, our kids, our family.
Sami: You're gonna make me cry.
EJ: Don't be silly. There's no need for any tears. There won't be a need for any tears ever again, trust me.
Sami: I do. I do. And the only regret I have, EJ, is that I-I didn't trust you sooner, that I didn't--I didn't trust in our love soon enough. I wasted all that time, and... and now I know what kind of man you truly are.
EJ: I don't deserve you. I don't deserve your faith in me. I don't know what my father's up to, Samantha, but he is not going to pull us apart.
EJ: Did I tell you...that you are the most beautiful bride that I've ever seen?
Sami: Really? Do you like my wedding dress? I wasn't sure you had noticed.
EJ: I noticed you. Only you. Always you.
Sami: Thank you. EJ, thank you for always--always making me feel like I am the only woman for you. [Sighs] I want to stay here all night, but I have to go... get the kids and change out of this dress. Then, maybe, I don't know, figure out something else I can do, you know, to help you. Come here. I love you.
EJ: I love you.
Hope: It's pretty clear someone wants EJ out of the way.
Hope: Maybe someone else in the DiMera board is plotting a coup.
Rafe: I wonder who's on that board... Lex Luthor, The Joker, Hannibal Lecter...
Hope: Even if what we're thinking is true, no matter who's behind it, we probably won't know for sure until--
Rafe: Yeah, 'til they make their next move, right.
Rafe: As if on cue...
Hope: Brady. Okay, thanks.
Hope: Another anonymous tip.
Hope: That move's being made as we speak.
Sami: So the Salem P.D. Got the tip? Great, well, I'd better go in, and get everything ready for 'em.
Hope: Okay, they're working on the warrant. You coming with me?
Rafe: No, you can handle it. Think I might go down and rattle EJ's cage a little.
Hope: Well, play nice.
Rafe: Do I have to?
Hope: That's your call.
Marlena: State tax evasion. That's it?
Roman: What, you wanted something more than that?
Roman: You sound relieved.
Roman: Look, I know you don't care what happens to EJ. Did you think this arrest had something to do with Sami?
Marlena: Look, regardless of how we feel about him, Sami's married to him now. And having him arrested at the wedding must have been... terribly, terribly difficult.
Roman: I still get the feeling you're not telling me everything.
Marlena: I'm worried about her. I'm worried about the children.
Roman: I know.
Marlena: Maybe we should have gone. Maybe we should have been there to support her.
Roman: Well, we can support her now. And we'll do that, all right? Wow. I mean, a marriage that starts out this way...[Whistles] God knows where it goes from here.
Rafe: Hey, EJ. So...how goes the honeymoon?
JJ: You know how complicated the Horton family tree is. But Maggie is like my aunt...
JJ: And like my grandmother.
Eve: [Laughs] Aw.
JJ: She's my friend, too. But she's everybody's friend.
Paige: It--it's really nice to meet you.
Maggie: Your speech was lovely.
Paige: Thank you.
Maggie: Eve, you must be very proud of her.
Eve: [Laughs] I am. I brag shamelessly about you, don't I? All the time. [Laughs] Well, um...there must be one of those famous, festive Horton gatherings somewhere this afternoon. I mean, some kind of celebration, right?
JJ: Yeah, yeah! We're gonna have a big party. Yeah, we--we're just waiting for Doug and Julie to get back from their cruise.
Eve: Oh, well, you know what? I've got an idea. How about I take you all out for dinner? I mean, my treat, okay? Does the Moulin rouge still serve up that delicious coq au vin?
Maggie: [Laughs] Well, it's actually chez rouge. And, yes, coq au vin is still on the menu.
Eve: Right, right. Well, you know, that's-- that's--that's great. Uh, p-perfect. How 'bout we make reservations, then?
JJ: Oh, yeah, that'd be cool. That'd be fun, huh?
Jennifer: No, I don't think we can go.
JJ: Why not? We don't have any plans.
Abigail: You know why not.
Maggie: Uh--uh, you know, I'm sorry, here, but I-I-I know I'm playing catch up here today, but is there something going on that I should know?
JJ: Um...it's just that mom and--and ms. Larson...
Eve: Eve, honey. I told you to call me Eve. [Laughs]
JJ: It's just that mom and Eve, they've--they've--they've got this issue. But...could you guys let it go for one night, so we can celebrate how great Paige did, and that I actually managed to graduate?
Jennifer: I'm just telling you that we really can't go, because I haven't talked to Aiden about it.
JJ: What does Mr. Jennings have to do with anything?
Eve: Well, you know, Jen, I think your son is actually right. I mean, I'm willing to set aside issues for one night. And I know you're not the type of person who wants to spoil everybody's fun, right? Just because you gave me no choice but to sue you.
JJ: Mom, what is she talking about?
Jennifer: Well, honey, I didn't want to ruin...your day, but I was served papers right before I left for your graduation today.
Paige: Oh, my God. You told me you two were talking this out. You never said anything about suing her.
Eve: Sweetheart, I'm sorry, but like I said, she gave me no choice.
Eve: I tried to be civil, Jen, but no, you had to go ahead and lawyer up.
Jennifer: What? You were already lawyered up. All I did was call my attorney and have him call yours to start a dialogue. That's all I did. And the next thing I know, there's a process server knocking at my door.
Paige: JJ, I...didn't know.
Eve: Sweetheart, don't talk like I did something wrong, here. And, I don't know why you have to make this completely personal, Jen. I'm just protecting my and my daughter's interests, here.
Jennifer: Yes, and I am protecting my husband's wish that all the money from his book goes to the veterans. The movie rights, everything else connected to it. And I will honor that wish for him. I honored it in the past, and I'm gonna honor it now.
Eve: Well, we'll just have to see about that, now, won't we?
EJ: I know this is fun for you, right? You don't really seem to see how pathetic you looked, ruining Samantha's wedding.
Rafe: Aw, come on, man. I'm just doing my job.
EJ: [Laughs] Yeah. You mean, somebody else was doing your job for you, detective Hernandez. Just who was it who tipped you off?
Sami: Okay. Okay. You...taught me well, old man. [Chuckles] [Exhales] Do you...have the rings?
EJ: I do, yes, yes. You know, they're family heirlooms. They were worn by my grandparents. DiMera royalty, just like us.
Sami: [Laughs] Well, I would love to see them.
EJ: Of course.
Sami: Uh...what do you think? Um, is it okay to let someone else hold them, even for a little while?
EJ: Oh, it's only going to be Abigail and William who hold them. I think, uh, we can trust them.
Sami: Yeah, of course. Will is my son, and Abigail, well, we know who she is, right?
EJ: There you go.
Sami: Okay. So it... [Laughs] EJ, I can't believe you used our kids' birthdays. It's very...trusting of you, I do say. Ha. Okay. [Laughs] Oh, my God. All the evidence that EJ cleaned up from the river. And Percy's pictures of Kate, Gabi and me throwing nick in the river. Well. The evidence that will shot EJ. Guess you were saving all of this for a rainy day, EJ. Frankly, it's just too bad that you won't have them, because there is a big storm coming.
Rafe: You're right. There was a tip. Looks like someone else was out to spoil your big day, huh?
EJ: You heard Samantha. It wasn't spoiled. We're married, man and wife.
Rafe: Yeah. Not the big day I was talking about. I was talking about the DiMera stockholders meeting.
Sami: [Exhales] Oh, uh, Harold, I'll get it. [Exhales] Hope, right on time. It's time for you to play your part. [Exhales] Mom! Dad. What are you doing here?
Eve: Well, let's go, sweetheart. Obviously ms. Horton here has never heard of agreeing to disagree. Come on. Let's go, honey.
JJ: Paige, I'll--I'll just text you later, okay?
Paige: Mom, how could you do this, and not tell me?
Eve: Well, obviously, there are a lot of things that we haven't talked about and told each other. So, let's go home, and let's have a nice, long chat, shall we?
Bev: What was that all about?
Marlena: We came because we heard what happened at the wedding.
Sami: Oh, I see. You didn't want to miss an opportunity to say, "I told you so."
Marlena: Didn't want to miss an opportunity to help. We thought we would spend some time with the children. Are they upstairs?
Sami: Oh, no, um, no, actually. There are, uh, with Lucas. He took them to the arcade after the wedding. He, um... [Clears throat] He took them, and it's a good thing, too, because they were not here to witness EJ getting arrested.
Sami: Oh, I guess that's the cleaning crew, here to clean up the mess.
Roman: Little late for that, isn't it?
[Knock on door]
Harold: Excuse me, ma'am. The police are here. They have a warrant.
Harold: How many times have I had to say that?
Hope: Roman, Marlena... I didn't expect to see you here.
Roman: Well, we are the parents.
Sami: I just don't understand, another warrant? I mean, hope, have you ever heard of piling on? What, are you gonna arrest me, now?
Hope: We got another tip. One of the hottest days of the year, and you had a fire?
Sami: I, um, felt like having hot dogs.
Hope: Sami? I know you married him, but you keep getting in deeper.
Roman: Hope, does she need a lawyer?
Cop: Detective Brady.
Hope: Excuse me.
Sami: [Sighs] Hope, n--pl--
Hope: Planning a little trip?
EJ: Please, don't worry on my account, Rafe. I'm all set to go before a judge, I'll get bail. I'll be at that stockholders meeting.
Rafe: If you say so, EJ. If you say so.
Sami: Of course, we're planning a trip. It's called a honeymoon, hope.
Hope: With all the kids? All using false names?
Sami: I don't know where those came from.
Hope: I hear morocco is absolutely lovely at this time of year. Yeah, there's great food, an international music festival, pristine beaches... everything anyone would ever want. And guess what else? No pesky extradition treaty with the united states.
Marlena: I don't care for your sarcasm.
Hope: It's not sarcasm. The tip we got was on the flight plan, filed by the DiMera jet, bound for Casablanca. So I'm guessing that you and EJ were planning on setting up house there at the DiMera compound?
Roman: Ok, Sami, now would be a good time to stop talking.
Hope: Roman, I have a warrant to confiscate these, along with the ones with their real names.
Sami: You can get them from Harold, along with anything else that you think you need. But I can tell you one thing for sure. EJ is going to beat this. And, once again, he will succeed in making the Salem P.D. Look like a bunch of damn fools.
Paige: Okay. [Sighs] If you're not going to say anything, then I will. This lawsuit thing... maybe you thought you had to do it, but couldn't you... have given me a heads up? Instead of having me find out right in front of JJ? Do you think that was fair?
Eve: Okay, you know what? We're gonna talk. We will. But it's not gonna be about the lawsuit--but for the record, I want you to know that I was completely in the right there, all right? What I want to talk about is JJ Deveraux, and what kind of boy he is.
JJ: I'm going upstairs to change.
Jennifer: It's okay.
Maggie: Whoo! [Groans]
Abigail: Well, Paige, is a sweetheart, but Eve? That woman is a stone cold bitch.
Maggie: I wouldn't say that.
Maggie: Well, she used to be a stone cold bitch. Huh, she's morphed into something much worse.
Abigail: Did you see the look on Paige's face? W--she had no idea about that lawsuit. This--this woman didn't even consider her daughter's feelings.
Jennifer: No, you're right. She did not even consider how her daughter would feel.
Jennifer: And--and I feel for her, I do. But, right now, your brother is my first priority. And I need to handle this right, for his sake. And I'm gonna need both of you to help me do that.
Jennifer: Aunt Maggie, I'm just asking you not to say anything to anyone. Not even Victor--or Daniel, please.
Maggie: You mean, the two people I'm not supposed to tell, who would be in your corner, who would help you deal with--with that--that word that I don't wanna use?
Jennifer: Right, it's just for a couple of days.
Maggie: Oh, my, ok-- don't you think Daniel should at least be told? I mean, I know you two are taking a break from each other...
Jennifer: You know what, aunt Maggie, it's not that I want to keep it from Daniel, or that I think he would feel obligated to do anything. I just want it to be settled. Eve would absolutely love it if this whole situation were the talk of the town.
Jennifer: But, I just think if I lay low, Aiden can make this whole thing go away. So, please, for a couple of days, just don't let it go any further.
Maggie: [Exhales] Of course. I won't say a word, I promise.
Jennifer: Thank you.
Maggie: I'm just sorry that you're having to deal with this. I mean, something so petty, so mean-spirited. Especially now.
Jennifer: Well, thank you, aunt Maggie, but I'll get through it. We've dealt with a lot worse, haven't we?
Abigail: Yeah, we have.
Maggie: Well, [Laughs] I should be getting home.
Abigail: Oh, I'll take you, aunt Maggie.
Jennifer: Oh, thanks, honey.
Jennifer: That'd be great.
Abigail: I'll see you later, mom.
Jennifer: Love you.
Abigail: Love you, too.
Maggie: I love you, Jennifer. And if you ever need to talk--
Jennifer: I know that you're there. Thank you. Love you.
Maggie: I love you. Thank you, that's so sweet of you. [Laughs]
Jennifer: Hey. Uh, I am so sorry about today.
JJ: Why? No, it's not--it's not your fault, it's okay.
Jennifer: No, I know it's not my fault, but, I'm sorry that it's causing problems for you.
JJ: Oh, don't worry about me, all right? Uh, there's just--there's one thing that I--I need to get straight.
Jennifer: Yeah, what's that?
JJ: Okay, well aunt Maggie called Paige's mom Eve Donovan. Does that mean that she's related...to t--
Jennifer: To Theresa. Yeah, I'm afraid so.
Eve: We're not talking about smoking in the boys room, sweetheart. This boy was dealing drugs. He was arrested for shoplifting, assault, trying to destroy the town square, named after his own family.
Paige: So, you did Google him.
Eve: No, I didn't. Your aunt Theresa told me all about him.
Paige: What does she have to do with any of this?
Eve: She was involved with him, sweetheart, in every sense of the word. So, um...the drugs, his, uh, criminal activity, his violent streak, they-- that doesn't bother you? It's just his relationship with Theresa does?
Paige: [Sighs] He told me there was some girl.
Eve: "Some girl." Your aunt Theresa is a woman. And it's no secret she's a very troubled woman who has a history of choosing men, sweetheart, that are even worse than her. Honey, that's why I needed to tell you what she told me.
Paige: No. Whatever happened is in the past. JJ is different now.
Eve: And the check's in the mail? Honey, people don't change. They just get older. And I've had to learn that the hard way, and you will too someday. Hey, look--look--look at me.
Eve: You're just too trusting. I mean, you always have been. But, that's why I'm here. That's why I'm back. I'm gonna make sure that we do what's best for you, okay?
Sami: EJ, why didn't you tell me?
EJ: Tell you what?
Sami: Why didn't you tell me that you had planned for us to leave the country, right after the wedding?
EJ: What are you talking about?
Sami: Hope. She showed up at the house. They had a search warrant. I had barely changed, and there they were, looking through all of our things. They found them. They found the money, they found the passports. I mean, you left them out, EJ. You left them on the table. They were just under some files. If you'd told me, I would have hidden them.
EJ: I didn't tell you, because I didn't do it.
Hope: What's your first impression?
Rafe: That was very sloppy, even for EJ.
Hope: Fits right in with the theory that someone's setting him up.
Hope: So who has an ax to grind?
Rafe: Who has the most to gain if he misses that meeting?
EJ: How did they get the warrant, do you know?
Sami: I guess they got some sort of tip that you had filed a flight plan with the DiMera jet, for us to go to morocco.
EJ: All right, I'm sure a flight plan was filed, but not by me. That's what Rafe was doing down here earlier, smirking.
EJ: Oh, he came down here to gloat.
Rafe: That son of a bitch. [Scoffs] So, I guess it's not enough that Stefano ruined our wedding night.
EJ: No, no, no. That was just his opening gambit. See, he uses Rafe as a pawn. And he gets his guys to go into the house. They drop off the money and the passports. They hide them almost in plain sight, while I'm arrested, and you and I are busy down here.
Sami: Because Stefano knows--
EJ: If I'm a flight risk, I'll be denied bail. Then I can't attend the bloody meeting.
Sami: I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I should have stayed at home. I should have protected us. I had no idea--I just wanted to be here with you.
EJ: Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. None of this is your fault. And if that bastard thinks he's gonna get away with this, he is mistaken.
Paige: [Sighs] I don't have it in me to talk about this anymore.
Eve: All right. Sweetheart, I can see that you need some time to process everything that you found out about the lawsuit. And, as I need time to process everything I found out about JJ Deveraux. Oh, honey, I'm so sorry. I'm so, so sorry. Today was supposed to be all about you. You, and your wonderful accomplishments. I am just so, so proud of you, beautiful girl. I am. And I only--I only want what is best for you.
Paige: I know that.
Eve: Oh, gosh. Oh, sweetheart, I gotta take that. It's--it's the lawyer. Uh, hold on just a moment, please. Everything's gonna be okay, sweetheart. It will, it will. Yes, hi.
Paige: Maybe for you.
Jennifer: Uh, so, yeah, obviously that means... that Theresa is Paige's aunt.
JJ: This is a great day. I mean, that was--that is some great news.
Jennifer: I'm sorry, I know! This is supposed to be your day. I have an idea. Why don't we go out for pizza, to the place where they fly the dough in from new York?
JJ: Mom, I appreciate you trying, but I'm--I'm--I'm not up for going out tonight. I'm sorry.
Jennifer: Gosh, this is such a horrible situation, and you are stuck right in the middle of it. Okay, well...if you don't want to go out, I will go in the kitchen and see what I can scare up for dinner.
JJ: Hey, mom? You really do hate Eve, don't you?
Jennifer: I love you. And, right now, that's all that matters.
Paige: [Sighs] Hi.
JJ: Hi, um...just--I-I just realized that I didn't get a chance to tell you how great you looked in, um, in your cap and gown.
Paige: You looked pretty good yourself.
JJ: [Laughs] Uh...Paige, I need to see you.
Paige: Yeah, I-I need to see you, too. When? How?
JJ: Well, actually, um, I have an idea.
Sami: I just don't understand what you think we can do. If Stefano keeps you from going to that board meeting, then there is no one there to stop him from gaining complete control of DiMera Enterprises. And then, with Kate by his side, I mean, he will--he will leave you with nothing, just because you wanted to marry me.
Rafe: Well, Stefano is the obvious culprit here.
Hope: Looks that way. Certainly strong motivation. It was at this very same time last year that EJ ousted him from DiMera enterprises. Now, it looks like Stefano wants payback from his son.
Rafe: Wouldn't it be great if the two of them just went at each other with a vengeance, and just ended up destroying each other in the process?
Hope: Yeah, it's all obvious, and it all fits. I just have this feeling that somehow it doesn't add up.
EJ: Marrying you is my greatest asset, and the best decision that I have ever made. And whatever father thinks he's gonna get away with, I can assure you that the two of us together will make sure it doesn't happen.
Sami: EJ, you just tell me what to do.
