Episode #12365 ~ Jennifer worries Eve is holding a grudge against her; Brady turns to Maggie for help.
Provided By Suzanne
Paige: [Sighs] There's something you should know. It's so random, I can't even--
Jennifer: Oh, hi, honey.
Paige: Oh, that's my mom.
Jennifer: Oh, I'll get it.
Paige: Turns out, your mom and my mom--they know each other. They went to high school together.
Eve: Jenn. Long time no see. [Laughs]
Abigail: What do you want?
EJ: Abigail, what happened at the house today, what you did, can never, ever happen again. Do you understand that?
Ben: Al, hey. I thought you were working tonight.
Al: Got off early.
Al: You meeting Abigail?
Ben: Uh, no. Why?
Al: Oh, I just saw her a minute ago, heading that way.
Abigail: Are you threatening me?
EJ: No, of course I'm not. But if you keep jumping out of your skin every time we cross paths, people will get suspicious.
Abigail: I won't.
EJ: Really? You've said that before. Do I need to remind you of what is going to happen if Samantha finds out about our little affair?
Abigail: Yeah, I know.
EJ: It's not just going to destroy my life. It will ruin yours. Is that something you want?
Brady: [Sniffs] [Sighs]
Theresa: Oh, hey. What's up with you?
Anne: Oh, you know, I've been wondering that myself, actually. Like, why would I, conscientious to a fault, even bother to hang out with an employee who treats her job as such an afterthought?
Theresa: Because I'm fun and you like me.
Anne: [Laughs] Yeah, you're a real barrel of laughs, not to mention a great friend about 2% of the time. But you know what I really adore about you?
Theresa: Mm, that I hate jenny prissy pants and Dr. God-- oh, I mean, Dan, as much as you.
Anne: Yes, ding, ding, ding. That about sums it up. But, you know, it's not enough to just hate people, my dear friend. You also have to be proactive, you know? You got to get up off your adorable ass and do something about it.
Theresa: Come on, Anne, give me a break. I've done everything that I can. I mean, I've literally tried everything except...
Anne: Except? W-what?
Theresa: JJ's new girlfriend.
Anne: Okay, I'm sorry. Are you in a drug-induced stupor again? Who cares about JJ or his girlfriend?
Theresa: I do. Have I mentioned that she's my niece?
Eve: It's hard to believe that it has been so long, right?
Jennifer: Yes. Oh, my--
Jennifer: I, uh--I didn't know that you were back. Uh... wow. I'm sorry. This is really a bad time, because my son's girlfriend and her mother are coming over for dinner, and I just--
Paige: Oh, but this is my mother.
Marlena: I am so glad you came by. I haven't seen you since--
Abe: Since will and sonny's big day.
Marlena: Oh, my gosh! Sit down.
Abe: [Laughs] Thank you. Thank you. And now I'm here because of Sami's.
Abe: Big day, tomorrow.
Marlena: Sami's getting married tomorrow?
Anne: Wait. So hapless little JJ hooked up with your niece, and you're just mentioning this to me now?
Theresa: Okay, well, I haven't hung out with the girl in years, but apparently she's this, like, little, sweet innocent thing.
Anne: Mm-hmm. And you're sure you're related? [Laughs]
Theresa: Imagine my shock when I find out that she shows up in Salem, and she's fallen for Jennifer's bad-seed son.
Anne: So wait a minute. You didn't know your own niece was in town?
Theresa: Yeah, well, you know what? Thank God no one bothered to mention it to me, because otherwise, I'd be expected to hang out with the little dweeb and-- anyway, here's what I'm thinking, Anne.
Anne: Mm-hmm. Okay.
Theresa: There's got to be a way that we can use her to drive a wedge between Dan and jenny.
Anne: Such as?
Theresa: Well, I haven't gotten that far yet.
Theresa: Well, look, I had to be careful, okay? Because her mom, my half sister, eve-- I mean, she is a total bitch.
Jennifer: Wait. [Laughs] You're Paige's mom?
Eve: Yes, it's the craziest thing, isn't it?
Paige: I was just telling JJ--
Eve: How we are old acquaintances, right?
Jennifer: Wow. Th--this is so--
Eve: Unbelievable. I know. Gosh, Jennifer. It was just, like, ages ago that we were in Salem high together. Now my Paige and your JJ-- it's just so...
Jennifer: Yeah. It is so...
Eve: So, when Paige told me that-- well, JJ's last name, I was in complete shock. I just... I just think it's just amazing how things always seem to come full circle, you know?
Jennifer: Yes. It is so crazy--I mean, really crazy.
JJ: Can I get us something to drink?
Paige: Sure. Thanks.
Eve: You know, Paige has been talking about JJ for weeks. But it was just, like, an hour ago she mentioned his last name, and that's when I realized that--well, that he was yours.
Eve: Yeah. Wow. Jenn, it's just like old times. It's almost like you don't believe me.
Ben: Hey. It's me. I'm worried about you. Give me a call back, okay, sis? I love you.
EJ: Abigail, look, this is not easy, obviously, for either one of us. But what choice do we have except to move on with our lives?
Abigail: That is exactly what I have been trying to do. But then out of the blue, Sami thinks that it would be a great idea for me to plan your wedding. And as if that isn't bad enough, now I'm her maid of honor. So you tell me, EJ. How exactly do you suggest I move on, hmm?
EJ: Look, I am sorry that you are in this situation. Abigail, it is almost over. The wedding is tomorrow.
Abigail: Yeah, the wedding is tomorrow. And how am I supposed to get through this? Sami is acting like I am her new BFF. I mean, my God, I'm surprised she hasn't invited me to come along to your honeymoon.
EJ: Yeah, well, I don't think that's very likely.
Abigail: You know, I've... I've made a lot of mistakes in my life. But at the very least, now I can confidently move forward knowing that this-- this is the worse mistake I will ever make.
EJ: Why do you say that? Is this because of this new chap that you're seeing?
Abigail: His name is Ben Rogers, and, yes, it is. Finally, I've met a man who isn't trying to manipulate or control me. He is so completely honest and straightforward, and he cares about me... a lot.
EJ: And you're worried that if he were to find out the truth...
Abigail: He would disappear, completely. Why wouldn't he? Of course. I mean, why would he want to be with a home-wrecking slut like me?
Anne: Ooh, tell me more about the total bitch.
Theresa: Which one? Oh, gosh, you mean eve. Okay, how much time do you have?
Theresa: I mean, seriously, all right.
Theresa: In a nutshell... [Exhales deeply] I'm the good sister.
Anne: [Laughs] [Coughs]
Theresa: Wow, don't cough up a hairball over there. Anyway, back to what we were talking about before...
Theresa: No, Brady.
Theresa: Yeah. I mean, seriously, Anne, he is the best thing that's happened to me since I got to the purgatory that is Salem.
Theresa: Besides your friendship, of course.
Anne: Oh, of course, yeah. So I take it things are going well with you and Richie rich?
Theresa: Yeah, extremely well... except when they're not.
Anne: Oh? Oh, what--what seems to be the problem?
Theresa: I don't know. It's just sometimes I sense that there's a little resistance...
Theresa: On his part.
Anne: Yeah, meaning he's just not that into you anymore?
[Door opens, closes]
Maggie: Brady. If you're waiting for your grandfather, he's out of town.
Brady: I'm not. Um... it's you I need to see.
Jennifer: Well, eve, clearly, we have a lot to, uh...
Eve: Catch up on?
Jennifer: Yeah, but... I'm gonna go check on my dinner, if you'll excuse me.
Eve: Okay. Well, I feel a little badly showing up here out of the blue without warning Jennifer first-- I mean, getting in touch. I mean, Paige wanted to text you, and I told her no, because we were practically on our way out the door. And I thought, well, you know what? Your mom should hear about me, well, from me.
JJ: All right.
Eve: Right now I want to know all about you, JJ.
Paige: Mom, you didn't answer my question.
Eve: Sweetheart, we'll talk about all that later, okay? Gosh, look at this house, would you? Oh, my. You know what? I haven't been in this house for, like, two decades. But I have to say, everything is exactly the same... including your mom.
JJ: You've been here before? You knew my great-grandparents?
Eve: Sweetie, everybody in this town knew your great-grandparents. Oh, they were lovely people-- always running bake sales and chaperoning dances. Of course, I wasn't related to them, so I didn't have the relationship that Jenn had with them, but... they always saw the best in her. They loved her so. It makes a difference to have someone in your life that believes in you that way.
JJ: Yeah. Yeah, it does.
Eve: Jenn had many advantages growing up in this town. She sure did. And, uh, she was very, very lucky. [Laughs] Right. Well, I'm sure we're all going to have a lot of fun hearing about it over dinner tonight, right?
Jennifer: No, that's not going to happen.
Theresa: [Sighs] No, Brady is definitely into me. I mean, when we're out having fun, he can't get enough of me.
Anne: Uh-huh. But in the light of day?
Theresa: He can be a little irritable when he's detoxing.
Anne: And when he's sober.
Theresa: It's like he-- I get the impression that he thinks I'm a bad influence or something. I mean, seriously, as messed up as he is, can you imagine that?
Anne: [Laughs] Don't take offense, cookie, but I mean, if you want me to be honest...
Theresa: It doesn't even really matter because, actually... there's someone in my corner. He just doesn't know it yet.
Anne: What are you talking about?
Brady: [Sighs] Maggie, uh... I've been trying really hard to... to do what you've always told me to do and to do what the program has taught me and to-- to be honest... about what I'm going through.
Maggie: Okay, go on.
Brady: So, to be honest with you... I think maybe--maybe... I might need some help.
EJ: That's not who you are.
Abigail: Right. I left out "liar."
EJ: Do you think I like having to lie about this?
Abigail: No, but you are just so good at it. I mean, I ought to know.
EJ: No, I know that no good is going to come from the truth. And if you keep freaking out the way you did earlier in front of William and sonny, the questions are going to keep coming.
Abigail: Okay, I'm sorry, all right? I'm obviously not as talented at deceiving people as you are.
EJ: Just get to the wedding.
EJ: I promise you, I will keep Samantha so busy, she won't even have time to think about you.
Abigail: And what happens if I see Sami around town?
EJ: I'm quite sure that you will be able to avoid all but the most casual communication.
Abigail: Right, because that has just worked out great for me so far.
EJ: Abigail, please, after everything we've been through, can you just do this for us? Do it for me.
Ben: Hi. Sorry to interrupt. I thought you were alone. Well, I'll let you finish whatever you were doing.
EJ: No, actually, you--you weren't interrupting anything. I don't think we've had the chance to properly meet. I'm EJ DiMera.
Ben: Ben Rogers.
EJ: Nice to meet you, Ben. Actually, you know, um, we were just talking about you.
JJ: Mom, what's wrong?
Jennifer: Well, the oven thermostat must not be working, so the roast probably still has about two hours to go, and in the interest of avoiding salmonella, I think we need to change our dinner plans.
JJ: Oh, well, I guess we could go out.
Jennifer: No. Um, because I need to babysit the meat. So the two of you could go out. Dinner's on me.
Paige: Mrs. Deveraux, you don't have to--
Jennifer: No, really, I insist. I want you guys to go have a really nice time. And, you know, your mom and I-- we could just have hors d'ouevres and--
Eve: And chat.
Jennifer: And chat.
Jennifer: Yes. So, uh... here you go. Go ahead.
JJ: Thanks, mom.
Paige: Yes, thanks.
Jennifer: You're welcome. Sure, have a great time.
Eve: Have fun, kids. Thanks, Jennifer. Really generous of you.
Jennifer: Your daughter's lovely.
Eve: Why, thank you. Your son--he's, um... interesting.
Jennifer: What's that supposed to mean?
Eve: Well, Paige told me he's gone through a bit of a hard time these past few years.
Jennifer: Yeah, he has. Mm-hmm. But he's doing really well, and he is a great young man. But you know what? I don't need to justify anything to you, 'cause you didn't come here to talk about my son.
Jennifer: No. So you know what? Let's just clear the air. Let's not make this go on any longer than it has to, okay?
Marlena: So EJ wanted you to perform the ceremony.
Abe: Marlena, believe me-- I understand how you feel about EJ, but I do believe that he truly loves Sami.
Marlena: I think so too. It's just they spend so much time hurting each other. You know what? I should be happy for her... because she'll have someone in her corner... and because you will be there for her and her children.
Ben: You were talking about me? That's not what it sounded like.
EJ: Oh, you-- you mean the favor that I was asking Abigail. My fiancée and I are getting married tomorrow, and she had asked Abigail if she would be kind enough to help plan the wedding...
EJ: And... be the maid of honor. You know, I think that, um... maybe part of the problem is that Abigail's having to deal with this all alone, you know? A maid of honor really should have an escort, don't you think? And I think if you were to ask her...
EJ: I'm quite sure that she would say...
EJ: Yes. Okay. Just, um... just putting it out there. I hope you understand how important this is to Samantha. Okay, hopefully I will see you tomorrow.
EJ: Good night.
Ben: So... where's this wedding?
Abigail: It's at the DiMera mansion. But honestly, everything that EJ was just saying about you coming is just--
Ben: A great idea.
Abigail: Really? I don't think that you actually realize how miserable it's going to be.
Ben: Abigail, I don't care. I just want to be there with you... because I honestly don't trust that guy at all.
Anne: Why would john black be in your corner?
Theresa: Mm. He's not, not yet.
Anne: Well, and what good would it do to get him there? I thought you said Brady and his old man didn't get along.
Theresa: Oh, no, Brady can't stand him--he's such a drag.
Theresa: I mean, I can't even believe they were ever with the same woman.
Theresa: Well, not at the same time. But even decades later, daddy didn't like sharing. So, whenever he's around, he sets Brady off like a firecracker on the fourth of July.
Anne: Oh, well, that must be fun.
Theresa: Yeah, and somehow, daddy-o can't get a hint. I mean, if you ask me, he's not that bright. He even tried to bribe me into leaving town. Can you believe that guy?
Anne: Oh, gosh, can't imagine why he'd think you'd be so mercenary as to take his money.
Theresa: Well, since I'm here... I'm gonna try to have some fun.
Theresa: Mr. Black... what a surprise.
Maggie: Brady... what makes you think you need help? You know... that there's nothing that you could say to me that I haven't heard before. And I'd never, ever judge.
Brady: Uh, I'm... I'm using again.
Brady: Yeah. Yeah. A little... not a lot. I mean, just--just... just a little bit, but it has got me a little worried. I'm--I'm scared. I am scared.
Paige: You haven't said a word since we left your house.
JJ: Did you get the impression that my mom and your mom weren't exactly best friends in high school? It--it seems like they--they have this history.
Paige: Yeah, you're right. They do.
Eve: Well, after all these years, Jennifer, what exactly do you think we need to clear the air about?
Eve: Frankie? Wow. You talk about ancient history. I'm sure you're aware that Frankie and I didn't exactly work out. But you know what? If you want to rub salt in that old wound, Jennifer, you just go right--
Jennifer: No, that is not what I want to do. I actually want to tell you something. And who knows? Maybe you already know. But I just feel like--
Eve: He came out of Africa, all the way out of Africa, to be with his one true love--you.
Abigail: Why don't you trust EJ? You don't even know him.
Ben: Do you trust him?
Abigail: No, I don't. But I know him. I know all about him and his family-- who they are, what they've done, what they're capable of doing. I dated his brother, you know?
Abigail: And I thought Chad was different. I thought that he wasn't like the rest of the DiMeras, but as it turns out, Chad was never straightforward with me about anything, and EJ is the exact same way. People that normally meet EJ when they don't know him think that he's charming and sweet, so... what have you heard about him?
Ben: Nothing. It's just what my gut says.
Abigail: Huh. You know, you, uh... you felt the same way when you first saw nick, and you were right.
Ben: Yeah. Well... where I come from, when you meet a guy, you get to be a very good judge of character real quick.
Abigail: Mm-hmm. And where is it that you come from?
Marlena: Oh, EJ. I'm glad I ran into you. I just talked to Abe. He tells me the wedding is tomorrow.
EJ: Ah. I'm sorry that you had to find out that way. I really hoped Samantha would've called you. I would've done so myself. It just didn't seem like my place.
Marlena: No, it isn't.
EJ: [Sighs] Look, now that you know, Samantha's far too stubborn to admit this, but it would mean a tremendous amount to her if you would consider attending. And who knows? Maybe it could go some way to mending fences--
Marlena: Why is it my job to mend the fences between Sami and me, hmm?
John: [Clicks tongue]
Theresa: If you're looking for your son, he's not here yet. But he will be. And we're going to have a great evening, like we always do.
John: I really need you to listen to me.
Theresa: Mm, let me guess. You're about to give me lecture number 536 on why I should stay away from your son, huh?
Maggie: Brady, do you find yourself using mostly when you've been drinking?
Brady: Mm. We talked about this. The drinking is not the problem.
Maggie: Yeah, but do you?
Brady: It's not the issue.
Maggie: Do you?
Brady: Yes. Yes, I do 'em both, yeah, I guess.
Maggie: Look, I know you don't want to hear this, but drinking lowers your inhibitions and your willpower. I mean, that's how cross-addiction works.
Brady: [Sighs] I've never had a problem with that before. I don't think that's what's going on here.
Maggie: Well, maybe drinking hasn't been a concern before. But now when you drink, you crave cocaine. And if you indulge in that craving, then you are probably drinking in a way that you have never done before. It's a vicious cycle, Brady. And no matter how many times you tell yourself you won't do it again, you do. So, if you're afraid that you're losing control and that your life is becoming unmanageable, then it probably is. Brady... you know there is a solution.
Paige: [Sighs] My mom said she and your mother didn't hang with the same crowd and...
JJ: What, did she trash my mom?
Paige: No, she just didn't seem to want to talk about it much.
Paige: I don't know. But I get the feeling...
JJ: They weren't exactly friends?
Paige: Yeah... that they might've been just the opposite.
Jennifer: I wouldn't exactly put it that way. But, yeah, Frankie and I tried. Anyway, I guess you already know all of that.
Eve: You know, Jennifer, after all these years, you've never been far from my mind. But I suppose, um... you can't say the same about me, huh?
Jennifer: Are you still upset with me over this whole situation with Frankie?
Eve: Oh, no, are you kidding me? It was ancient history, I mean, I drove Frankie off all by myself. Yes, I've had my share of mistakes with men, but, of course, um, you know how that goes, right? Frankie was one of them. Paige's dad was the other. But you know what? I've--I finally learned. And I think I'm a stronger person because of it. How about you?
Jennifer: How about me?
Eve: Well, Frankie cared deeply about you, Jennifer. And yet, you threw him over for Jack.
Jennifer: What? You have no idea what happened.
Eve: Oh, no. Frankie was hurt, hurt deeply. He was afraid to put his heart out on the line again. Otherwise, you know... maybe he would've come back to me.
Jennifer: Okay, I was right. After all these years, you are still angry with me about Frankie. Just admit it.
Eve: [Laughing] What? Are you-- you've got to be kidding me. Oh, Jennifer, really. Dad! Not now, buddy.
Ben: I come from a really small town, where you knew exactly who the good guys were and the not-so-good ones too.
Abigail: You think that EJ is one of the not-so-good ones.
Ben: Abigail, I'd put money on it... if I had any money.
Ben: You agree with me, don't you?
EJ: It would mean a tremendous amount to Samantha and to the children and, frankly, to myself if you would consider attending the wedding... unless, of course, if you just don't want to.
Marlena: No, of course I want to, but...
EJ: Look, I-I appreciate you don't really approve of your daughter's choice in spouse. But after everything that I sacrificed to get your daughter out of jail. And after working as hard to expedite your credentials so you could marry William and sonny, I- I thought that you and I were at least on cordial terms.
Marlena: Understand this. I appreciate everything that you've done.
EJ: Okay, then help me, please. Just come and bear witness while I declare my--my love and my commitment to your daughter.
Theresa: What do you want?
John: Look, I know that you're having a good time with my son.
Theresa: Yeah, Brady's a lot of fun.
John: And I can't lay down the law about who he can and can't spend his time with.
Theresa: But you're going to try anyway, right?
John: But he... has a substance-abuse problem, and you are enabling him.
Theresa: [Sighs] I don't know what you're talking about. I don't have a problem.
John: I don't know. Maybe you don't. Maybe you can party and have a good time and just take it or leave it, but my son... he can't handle it. And if you keep encouraging this reckless behavior, he's going to die... which is why I've got to ask you. Leave him alone. Please, Theresa, just--just let him go.
Theresa: You know, you don't know what you're talking about, Mr. Black, because, actually, Brady's not going to die. Actually, he's finally started to live.
John: Not as long as he's with you.
Maggie: Brady, uh, there's a meeting, an N.A. Meeting, today at the hospital.
Brady: Thank you, Maggie. I don't know if I'm ready for--
Maggie: You don't have to-- you know you don't have to say anything. Just slip in and listen. And I'll be happy to go with you, or I just leave you at the door... whatever will make you the most comfortable. But... just take the first step.
Brady: Take the first step. The thing is, I have a date tonight.
Maggie: With Theresa? I see. Well... what do you want to do?
JJ: But everybody likes my mom. Okay, not everyone. But she's, like, the nicest person ever. I mean, yeah, my dad used to do some sketchy stuff, so maybe it has something to do with him.
Paige: Ugh. I, uh--I don't know. My mom knew about your dad dying, and it seemed like she felt pretty bad about it.
JJ: Did she ever talk about when she used to live here?
Paige: No, never. I was surprised when she said she wanted to move to Salem, because I got the feeling... she didn't have the best experience when she was here. And the one guy she has ever talked about doesn't even live here anymore.
JJ: Do you know his name?
Paige: Uh... Frankie something?
JJ: Oh, my God.
Eve: [Laughing] Really. Oh. Oh.
Jennifer: What--what are you laughing at?
Eve: I'm so sorry, but don't you think it's just a little bit funny that after all these years, that everything is still, I don't know, the same? I mean, look at you. You're still so sweet, so adorable, and so naive.
Eve: Yes. I mean, how could I be angry over Frankie? Really, Jennifer, it was so ancient history, and... as is this rivalry, right?
Eve: Yes. And, uh, on a serious note, I... I haven't had an opportunity to say how sorry I am... well, about Jack. Mm, look at this man. Oh. He was a wonderful man.
Jennifer: Yes, he was.
Eve: And you were so in love with him that you were willing to forgive him over and over and over and over again, except-- do you remember that one time? [Laughing] It's hilarious.
Jennifer: No, what time?
Eve: Oh, my gosh, you don't remember the look on your face when I told you that Jack and I were married? Oh, my gosh, do you remember that day? [Laughing]
Eve: Jack and I are married.
Jennifer: No, I don't believe you.
Eve: Oh, well, you would if you saw us in bed last night, but, uh... [Laughs] You didn't. But maybe this will convince you. Laughs]
Jennifer: Yeah. How could I ever forget?
Eve: Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Celebrate big savings at the sears July 4th event.
Abigail: Yeah, who cares what I think about EJ? After the wedding tomorrow, I don't plan to have anything to do with him ever again.
Ben: Huh. So you're gonna go through with it?
Abigail: The wedding? Yeah. Yeah. Which reminds me, I better get to baron's to buy my dress. But I'm glad I got to see you tonight.
Ben: Me too. So what time should I show up tomorrow?
Abigail: You sure you want to?
Ben: Abigail, I am not letting you walk into this mess all by yourself.
Abigail: Great. I will text you the info.
Abigail: I'll see you tomorrow.
Ben: You will.
Marlena: Who--who else is on the guest list?
EJ: It's tiny. Roman's not going to be there. Samantha actually said no family except the children.
Marlena: Well, of course, that's her choice, you know.
EJ: Marlena, please.
Marlena: EJ, listen to me. If I attend the wedding, I'd be a hypocrite. And that's why roman isn't coming. Look, I know--I know you and Sami think you're doing the right thing, getting married because you love each other so. But the truth is... you've never brought out the best in each other... never have. And it's my belief that you never will.
Anne: So... did your little plan work out?
Theresa: It's getting there. I was tempted to throw this drink into Brady's father's face, but, uh... well, that would have been a waste of a perfectly good drink, so...
Theresa: Anyway, Brady's not really into gin, so you might as well drink this.
Anne: I--Brady's coming?
Anne: Oh, well, then I guess I should go.
Theresa: No, first let me just text him to see where he is.
[Cell phone vibrating]
So we can probably go ahead and get started. You want to take your seats? Is anyone attending a narcotics anonymous meeting for the first time? Hmm? Well, welcome.
JJ: She's the rival.
Paige: The what?
JJ: Okay, my mom and this guy, Frankie Brady, went out together in high school. And right after I was born and my mom and dad were apart, Frankie and my mom got back together.
JJ: Okay, I was just talking about this with my mom when we found her old yearbook. And she said that she had this "rival" that kept coming between her and Frankie.
Paige: You think that woman was my mom?
JJ: I have... this awful feeling that our mothers hate each other.
Jennifer: Eve, you're right. We have both moved on. And really, we can't afford to have hard feelings about our past, especially for JJ and Paige's sake.
Eve: Uh, you know what? I totally agree with you. Everything should be about our children. That's when I--you know, when I found out that Paige was dating JJ, I-I really--I just wanted to get everything out there.
Jennifer: Yeah, this is good. I-I'm glad that we did.
Eve: Although, um... I have to admit, I am a little worried about JJ and Paige.
Eve: Well, I'm afraid that you're not going to be-- well, I just--I don't think you're going to able to be as supportive of my daughter after I tell you everything I need to tell you.
Jennifer: What? Eve, are you kidding me? You are still upset about Frankie. Why didn't you just say so?
Eve: Okay, Jennifer--
Jennifer: You're going back and forth--
Eve: Jennifer, stop, okay? This isn't about what happened with Frankie. This is about Jack. This is all about Jack... and you and, well, uh... me.
