Abe: Of course, Theo and I will be at the wedding.

EJ: Wonderful!

Abe: Thank you.

EJ: Samantha will be absolutely thrilled.

Abe: Well, she's like a daughter to me, EJ.

EJ: I know, um... look, Abraham, I had something of a favor to ask you. How would you feel about performing the ceremony?

Abe: Your wedding?

EJ: It meant so much to sonny and William to have Marlena marry them. Samantha thought it was one of the best parts. So, I know she'd be very happy if you would do the honors.

Abe: Why didn't she ask me herself?

EJ: Well, because I would like it to be a surprise. And it's my contribution to the wedding.

Sami: You've done enough, honey. I have some surprises of my own, for you and your little slut.

Abigail: Okay, chairs, done. Florists, done. My sanity...is gone. Oh my God, I can't believe I got roped into doing this wedding. [Sighs] Oh, thank you. You are a lifesaver. Oh! Hey, T.

Tad: Ha! That was one pitiful greeting. You were expecting Ben, weren't you? Well, Ben, is not here.

Abigail: [Sputters]

Jordan: Hey. I only have 15 minutes. What's up?

Ben: I'll be quick. I just wanted to make sure you're doing okay.

Jordan: I'm fine.

Ben: No, you're not. Nothing's changed, has it? Things are still messed up between you and Rafe.

Kate: Hey.

Rafe: Well, hey. I was actually just--

Kate: Look...there's something I need to say.

Rafe: [Exhales]

Jennifer: Come on in, honey. I'm sorry, JJ isn't here.

Paige: Oh, maybe he's on his way.

JJ: Well, if he said he is, then I'm sure he is. 'Cause I know he wouldn't miss a chance of seeing you.

Paige: Aw.

Jennifer: How are you doing?

Paige: Great, I'm done.

Jennifer: Which would explain that grin.

Paige: Um, that's half of it. My mom is home.

JJ: Uh, Paige?

[Knocks on door]

Eve: Who are you?

JJ: Hi, uh, um, I'm--I'm looking for Paige.

Eve: Uh, she had to step out for a minute. But she should be back soon.

JJ: Okay, uh, well maybe you could tell her that I--

Eve: Wait a minute. You are JJ, aren't you?

JJ: Uh, yeah.

Eve: [Laughs] Well, I am so glad to, to finally meet you.

Paige: Mom was going to move here with me last year, but she couldn't make it work with her job.

Jennifer: Oh, here, sit down, honey. Uh, what does she do?

Paige: Oh, she's in sales, and she travels all the time.

Jennifer: Wait, so who were you living with?

Paige: My dad's cousin. Mom and I have barely seen each other.

Jennifer: Oh, honey, that has to be hard.

Paige: Yeah, it wasn't great. I was used to all the travel, but to not see her at all...

Paige: Oh, honey, that would drive me crazy. I mean, it was hard for me with JJ, you know, when he was in London at school.

Paige: Yeah, when it's just the breaks and holidays? But...that's all over. At least for now.

Jennifer: Good, and you said she's moving to Salem?

Paige: Mm-hmm. We'll have the whole summer to hang out.

Jennifer: Good, you're gonna have a terrific time. I really can't wait to meet her!

Paige: I can just see you two together. I think you'll really hit it off.

JJ: Sorry, I didn't--I didn't mean to barge in, it's just that the door was open.

Eve: No, no, you didn't. I left this door open on purpose. Come in, please. It's just so hot in here. I think the air conditioner is broken.

JJ: Yeah, Paige mentioned that. If you want me to take a look at it, I can...

Eve: Wow, you're on terms with tools?

JJ: Well, um, I--I wouldn't go that far, it's just if it-- if it's something simple, I...

Eve: [Laughs] Well that's sweet of you, but no, it's okay. I wouldn't want you to get all dirty, you know? But I tell you what I have, I've got some cold lemonade in the fridge. Can I pour you a glass?

JJ: Uh, thank you. Yeah, if--if it's no trouble.

Eve: No, no, no trouble at all.

JJ: Uh, I'm glad to finally meet you. Uh, Paige is so grateful that you let her stay here this year.

Eve: Oh, no, no...

JJ: No really, she is.

Eve: No, I really am not cousin Joan.

JJ: You're not?

Eve: No. Sweetheart, I'm Paige's mother.

Ben: You and Rafe still aren't talking, are you?

Jordan: I, I tried to get him to open up, but I could only push so much. And he knows that I'm here, and that I care, but...

Ben: He's being a jerk, Jordan.

Jordan: He's hurting. That's all.

Ben: And you're the one person that could help him.

Jordan: Well, maybe he doesn't see it that way. And you know what? Maybe he's right.

Ben: What?

Jordan: You know, this could be a blessing in disguise for me.

Ben: No.

Jordan: For you and me.

Ben: No, Jordan.

Jordan: I don't know why I thought I could move here and be...

Ben: Happy?

Jordan: Normal. We both know it's only a matter of time before he shows up and--

Ben: Don't! You have to stop thinking that way.

Jordan: He nearly found us before. It could happen again.

Kate: So you worked things out with Jordan.

Rafe: [Grunts]

Kate: Okay, see, now I'm gonna take that as a "no."

Rafe: I'm not exactly sure what there is to work out, or how to do it. Just need some time.

Kate: Mm. So how long are you going to sit in the corner?

Rafe: Hmm?

Kate: That's what you're doing. You are punishing yourself for things that Gabi did.

Rafe: No, Gabi was on her own.

Kate: No, that's not true.

Rafe: And, she didn't--she didn't feel like she had anyone there to support her with nick.

Kate: We all knew exactly what nick was, including you.

Rafe: Listen, if I'd have been there, I could have prevented the whole damn thing.

Kate: No, I'm sorry, but you're dead wrong.

Abigail: I did not think that you were Ben.

Tad: I don't know why you even try. I've seen you two together.

Abigail: W--we're friends. We hang out sometimes. He's a nice guy.

Tad: Yeah, and so am I.

Abigail: Okay, I will keep that in mind.

Tad: Why are you grumbling at your tablet?

Abigail: Ugh, I--I'm planning Sami's wedding.

Tad: Oh, excellent. That must pay top dollar.

Abigail: Oh, no. I--I'm doing it as a favor. I'm her maid of honor.

Tad: What?

Abigail: Yeah, we're friends.

Tad: Okay, two things. Weird that you're friends with Will's mom. Um, and Sami Brady doesn't make friends. Frenemies, maybe, but anything else...

Abigail: You know, maybe-- maybe she's changed.

Tad: Okay, for your sake, I hope so.

Abigail: Wait, what do you mean, for my sake? Why?

Tad: I've seen the woman work. You're planning a big day for a woman who takes no prisoners. You don't wanna get on her bad side, no.

Abigail: Yeah.

EJ: So, what do you say? Will you perform the ceremony?

Sami: Please say yes, Abe.

EJ: Ah, you're a hard girl to surprise!

Abe: [Laughs]

Sami: And yet, you have.

Abe: Mm.

Sami: Abe, I'm really just thrilled that you're even coming to the wedding.

Abe: Oh, Theo and I wouldn't miss it.

Sami: Well I have a big plan for the kids, you know, after the ceremony. Some surprises in store for them. It'll be fun.

EJ: Now, if he will just agree to marry us.

Sami: Please? [Laughs] Come on.

Abe: Uh, what about Marlena? I mean, she's already a legal officiant. Wouldn't she want to be the one to perform the ceremony?

Sami: Um, well, that's if she comes at all. I'm not sure, at this point, if my mom's gonna even be there. And you know how my dad feels. Um, I'm sort of running out of family, at this point. Please, Abe?

Abe: I'd be honored.

EJ: [Laughs]

Sami: [Laughs] Thank you, thank you so much.

EJ: Wonderful.

Jennifer: If your mother is anything like you, I think we are going to be great friends.

Paige: Uh, well, I'm not sure how alike we are. She's a singer, and really creative. She's more like JJ that way. There was always music in the house.

Jennifer: Really, what kind of music?

Paige: Mm-hmm. Oh, everything. Uh, classical, classic rock, indie music...

Jennifer: [Laughs]

Paige: Show tunes, uh, country music, world music...

Jennifer: Oh, my goodness.

Paige: Uh, r&b, a little bit of rap, some hip-hop.

Jennifer: That is quite a range.

Paige: Yeah.

Jennifer: That's fascinating. She sounds fascinating.

Paige: She is. She really loves life, you know? And even though her taste is pretty sophisticated, she still loves pop culture.

Jennifer: [Laughs]

Paige: Um, sit?

Jennifer: Yeah, sure honey.

Paige: Um, when I was eight, she took me to see mamma mia! On Broadway.

Jennifer: Wow.

Paige: Waited in the freezing cold with me, outside the stage door, so I could get the autographs of all the actors.

Jennifer: [Laughs] That's incredible. I can not wait to meet this woman.

Paige: She reminds me of you.

Jennifer: Really?

Paige: Mm-hmm. I mean, not exactly, but, you're both really great moms. How you'd do anything for your kids. And she's pretty, too.

Jennifer: Oh, do you have a picture of her?

Paige: Oh, sure.

Jennifer: Yeah.

JJ: I'm sorry, I didn't-- I didn't think you were coming in until tomorrow.

Eve: Well you know, I got an earlier flight, so I got lucky.

JJ: Oh, cool! Paige must have been really excited to see you.

Eve: Ah, I miss her so much. And we've got so much catching up to do. But I know that she's really loved being here in Salem this past year, and I think you are a big part of that, JJ.

JJ: Really?

Eve: Yeah. So why don't you sit, come on, sit.

JJ: Do you mind?

Eve: No. Now, tell me about yourself.

JJ: Oh, I'm--I'm sure Paige has already told you...

Eve: Absolutely nothing. My darling daughter has completely clammed up when it comes to you, so what-- what do you think that is? Why is that?

JJ: I, mm, I--I don't know. Uh, maybe there's just not a whole lot to tell.

Eve: I don't know about that. She says you're a musician.

JJ: Yeah, yeah I am. I play guitar.

Eve: Ah, which I'm a big fan.

JJ: Oh yeah?

Eve: Yeah. And she said that you're, um, very talented.

JJ: Oh, I--I don't know about that, it's just... I don't know, I love music.

Eve: Good.

JJ: And I love writing, and I love playing, you know?

Eve: Well, if my daughter is interested in you, you must be a very special young man. She thinks the world of you.

JJ: Well, I think the world of her, too, ms. Larson.

Eve: Oh, please, would you call me eve?

JJ: Okay.

Eve: [Laughs] All right. And you?

JJ: Uh, my name?

Eve: Yes, your name. And, forget the initials, I want the full name. First and last.

Ben: That was almost two years ago, Jordan. It's been quiet since then.

Jordan: You honestly think he stopped looking?

Ben: Maybe. Jordan, we're safe here.

Jordan: Why? Someone found all my aliases.

Ben: They didn't say anything.

Jordan: Yet. The woman who knows about me, she is relentless. She will keep digging.

Ben: She's not gonna find anything. I backtracked those ids ten times, myself. Anybody who's gonna be looking is hitting a dead end. We've been careful.

Jordan: It's not enough. You never know what random thing could happen.

Ben: Then we'll handle it. Like I did last week. Some girl thought she recognized me from Miami.

Jordan: Ben, why didn't you tell me that?

Ben: Because I handled it.

Jordan: It's a big risk.

Ben: Maybe. Okay, but what's the alternative? We can't run forever. We can finally, like, make our stand here.

Jordan: It's just a town.

Ben: [Exhales] A town where a guy you love lives. You can't give up on that. We won't run. And you're not gonna duck out on Rafe.

Kate: [Exhales] All of us feel that there are things that we would have done differently with Gabi, but none of us could ever have expected that she would have taken a gun, and killed a man.

Rafe: I would have seen how desperate she was.

Kate: Yeah, well maybe that's why she didn't come around. But whatever the reason, that doesn't matter. It's done. Why do you want to punish her...

Rafe: I don't wanna...

Kate: More?

Rafe: What are you saying?

Kate: What I'm saying is that Gabi was happy that you met Jordan. How do you think she would feel now if she knew that her actions were going to destroy that happiness? You need to think about that. Don't be so quick to throw away what you have.

Abigail. People change, T. I mean, look at you, for example. What would you have said about Will a couple years ago?

Tad: What didn't I say? I was an ass.

Abigail: Yeah, you were. And now?

Tad: A sensitive metrosexual.

Abigail: And is it working for you?

Tad: Definitely.

Both: [Laugh]

Tad: You know, you could be right. EJ and Sami could be good together. And I never thought I'd say this, but EJ is a pretty cool guy. What is that?

Abigail: Hm?

Tad: You don't like the guy?

Abigail: No, it's not that. I, uh, I'm just really overwhelmed with everything. Uh, you know, planning this wedding, and... I just can't wait for it to be over. [Sighs]

Sami: Thank you, so much.

EJ: Darling, where are you going?

Sami: I'm going to do some more wedding planning. With Abigail.

Abe: Oh, she's helping?

Sami: She's my maid of honor. Isn't she sweet?

Abe: Aw. She is a great girl. Theo is just crazy about her.

Sami: I know, who wouldn't be? All right, I'll see you both later.

EJ: Oh-- [Laughs]

Sami: See you later.

EJ: Okay. Thank you. She's over the moon. I really appreciate you putting your feelings about me to one side.

Abe: Lexie loved you, EJ. She would be proud, and happy about where you and Sami are. This looks like you two are finally getting it right.

EJ: I'd like to think so. I want to spend every day of the rest of my life making her happy. Starting with her wedding day.

Paige: Ugh. Oh, come on.

Jennifer: What's wrong?

Paige: Ugh, my phone, ugh. Can't wait to recycle this thing.

Jennifer: [Laughs]

Paige: It's so lame, it won't let me pull up anything in my photo gallery.

Jennifer: Well maybe you need that new software for it.

Paige: [Sighs] I'm sure I do. But, it's so old, I'm afraid if I load any new software it'll just die completely. This is first on my graduation list.

Jennifer: Well, honey, I am sure I will get to meet your mom at some point. Wait, I have an idea! Why don't you bring her tonight, for dinner?

Paige: Oh, actually, I told her she had to come already.

Jennifer: [Laughs]

Paige: I hope that's okay.

Jennifer: That is so fine. I just invited her, didn't I?

Paige: Great. She's really excited about meeting you. Well I--I better go get ready.

Jennifer: Yes.

Paige: Um, thanks again, Mrs. Deveraux.

Jennifer: Oh please, any time.

Paige: Oh, uh, please tell JJ that I came by, and I'll see him later?

Jennifer: Yes, I will.

Paige: Okay.

Jennifer: See you soon, honey, bye-bye. Well, it looks like I am gonna have a new friend.

JJ: I really am JJ. It's what I've been called all my life.

Eve: Yeah? Why is that?

JJ: I'm a junior.

Eve: Junior. Well that explains one "j," what about that second one, huh?

[Phone rings]

JJ: Um...

Eve: Oh gosh. Excuse me. I'm still on the clock, so I'm gonna have to take this.

JJ: Oh, no problem. Um, Paige said that you travel a lot for your job.

Eve: Yes, I do. And I'm really looking forward to changing that. Uh, just one minute, and-- and then I'll be right with you.

JJ: Oh, please, do what you need to do.

Eve: You know what? Two minutes, and then I want to hear all about JJ.

JJ: Actually, you know what? Maybe I should go. It's just, my mom is expecting me.

Eve: Oh.

JJ: And you, you need to work.

Eve: Okay. Well you know what? We'll continue this, and I can't wait to tell Paige that I finally met you. And I look forward to seeing you, JJ.

JJ: Yeah, yeah, thank you.

Eve: All right. All right. Thank you. Eve baron.

JJ: I wonder if you'll feel that way, ms. Larson --I mean, "eve"-- when you find out about my past.

Nurse: There's a woman here looking for you. She's in the waiting room.

Jordan: Uh, that must be ms. Bradford. She wants a progress report on her husband.

Nurse: Oh.

Rafe: EJ.

EJ: Rafe, uh, actually I'm--I'm pretty glad I bumped into you.

Rafe: I've got to go.

EJ: No--look--I'll be brief. Just, uh, very quickly.

Rafe: Okay.

EJ: Samantha and I moved up the wedding, and I just wanted to come here and personally invite you and Jordan.

Jordan: Ms. Bradford, I'm happy to have good news--

Kate: Hello, Jordan. Give me five minutes.

Abigail: I already took care of that. And the cake has been ordered.

Sami: What? Oh my God, Abigail, thank you. You are amazing.

Abigail: Sami, it's nothing, really.

Sami: It's my wedding, that's not nothing.

Abigail: No, no, God, no. That's not what I meant.

Sami: And you have made it perfect. And I can't thank you enough. Even though I coerced you into it.

Abigail: Come on, that's not true.

Sami: It is true. Don't lie, you're bad at it. But through this all, you've been so gracious and... you've helped me so much. You are so good at this. You should be a wedding planner.

Abigail: Ah. Uh, [Laughs] I think I'm gonna retire after this, actually.

Sami: [Laughs] It's that bad, huh?

Abigail: No, no, it's not that it's that bad at all. It's just that, you know, I'm not, uh, it's, I'm not...

Sami: Comfortable. I'm sorry, Abigail. I knew it. It's just that I've been so focused on EJ and me, and creating this perfect beginning for our life together. Something we've worked so many years to get to, that-- and now I'm doing it again. I just ran over you, didn't I? [Laughs] I was doing what I wanted, without giving you a single thought.

Abigail: No, Sami, that's not true.

Sami: It is. It is true. Look, Abigail, if you don't want to be in the wedding, you don't have to be. You can back out, I get it. It's up to you.

JJ: Yo, Mom.

Jennifer: "Yo?" No, I don't think so.

JJ: Oh, I am sorry, but, that's a really nice look.

Jennifer: Hey, I don't want dinner on me when our guests arrive. But I came out to tell you that Paige was here looking for you. She thought she was supposed to meet you here, but she left.

JJ: Yeah, we--no, we got so turned around. I went to her cousin's place. My text keeps bouncing back, I don't--

Jennifer: Okay, wait, yeah. She said that her phone wasn't working. But you went to her house. So you met her mom.

JJ: Oh, yeah.

Jennifer: Yeah? What did you think?

Eve: Look, they'll have the comps by tomorrow. That's soon enough. Yeah-- but do you know what? I want to take the evening off, so I'll call you in the morning. Thanks. I'm all yours!

Paige: [Laughs] Sorry I was so long. JJ and I got our wires crossed. I went to his house--

Eve: He was here.

Paige: What?

Eve: JJ was here.

Paige: You met him?

Eve: Yeah. [Laughs] I didn't bite. What's with the face?

Paige: Nothing. I--I just wanted to be here when you met him.

Eve: Well, I think we managed just fine on our own. Yeah. But, he seems really nice.

Paige: He is. He's such a good guy.

Eve: Why are you acting so weird about this? Paige.

Paige: [Sighs] There--there are just some things I wanted to tell you first. Before you found out on your own.

Eve: Well how would I-- is that why you didn't want to give me his full name? You were afraid that I would look it up on the internet, and...would've--

Paige: Yeah, yeah. You would find him.

Eve: What? Wh--what?

Paige: Mom, please. I will tell you all about JJ, but you have to promise to keep an open mind, and not...go off. Okay? So, duke, what do you think of our new bush's baked beans video game?

Jordan: It's a bad day for threats, okay?

Kate: I'm not here to threaten you.

Jordan: Well, I don't care about an apology.

Kate: Good. 'Cause you're not gonna get one from me. Look, we're not buddies. I don't like you very much. I'm sure the feeling is mutual. But we do have one thing in common. We both care about Rafe. And I'm worried about him. I hope you are too.

Rafe: Look, I appreciate that you helped out with Gabi's confession. And you've actually been pretty decent these past few months, but, you can't erase history.

EJ: No, you can't. My memory goes back a long way too, Rafe. Look, I'm just trying to give my bride the perfect wedding day.

Rafe: Oh, Sami put you up to this?

EJ: No. She would never ask me to do this.

Rafe: Well, you can't imagine the big day without me?

EJ: Something like that. Come on, what do you say? I truly hope you'll be there.

Rafe: Yeah, not gonna happen. Pass.

EJ: Well, thank you for being such a good sport.

Rafe: Well, Sami will see what kind of man you are eventually.

EJ: Samantha knows what kind of man I am, Rafe. That's why she's marrying me.

Rafe: Yeah, all right.

Abigail: Look, Sami, if I seem like I'm at all hesitant, it's just because, well, you and I haven't been friends all that long. So, I was just--you know, I was really surprised that you wanted me.

Sami: [Inhales] Abigail, the truth is that I, um, I mean... I don't have that many friends. You know? And--and I would have skipped the whole "maid of honor" thing altogether, actually. And...even if my sisters were here, it's not like we're close. And my whole family, they...

Abigail: Hm, yeah.

Sami: They have a thing about EJ. You are the only friend I have who sees EJ for who he really is.

Abigail: Well, that can't be true.

Sami: No, it is true. You know how everyone feels about EJ. But you, you see how happy he makes me, how perfect we are for each other. You know firsthand what an incredible guy EJ is, don't you?

JJ: I don't know what she's like.

Jennifer: You did meet the woman, didn't you? Did you speak?

JJ: Yeah, a little bit. But she had some work to do.

Jennifer: Okay, well what was your, just, first impression of her?

JJ: Uh, you know, I don't know, it's just... she doesn't look like Paige.

Jennifer: [Laughs] What does she look like?

Eve: Oh.

JJ: Just...pretty. You know, just...like a mom, just, pretty.

Jennifer: Please tell me you were every bit that articulate with Mrs. Larson.

JJ: I--I just didn't notice much.

Jennifer: Honey, are you kidding me? You just met this woman, and you can't remember anything about her?

Eve: I promise to keep an open mind. Unless there are outstanding warrants. Now, this kid isn't an arsonist, is he? A--an ax-murderer?

Paige: No, do you think I'm crazy? Of course he isn't.

Eve: So if I went on lexisnexis right now, and I did a search on that--

Paige: Ugh. Okay, okay. He did have some trouble with the law.

Eve: What?

Paige: But it--it--

Eve: [Sighs]

Paige: It was small, and--and--and settled.

Eve: Paigey.

Paige: [Sighs] See? This is why I didn't tell you. Because I knew you'd think the worst of him, and...

Eve: No...

Paige: Trash him to me.

Eve: No, I don't do that.

Paige: Like, you didn't trash cousin Joan and my aunt Theresa?

Eve: Oh wait, come on, that's completely different. Well, at least, it should be. [Sputters] Cousin Joan, she has no taste, and Theresa, she's a real criminal.

Paige: You see?

Eve: Listen. Do you remember how we had the conversation about how you always, you always see the good in people? Even though they don't deserve it?

Paige: I don't remember that last part.

Eve: You have to be careful, sweetheart. You really do.

Paige: You don't even know JJ.

Eve: No, I just met him! And you know what? I--I truly see the appeal. I mean, he's cute, he's got a little edge thing happening with that guitar, which, as much as I love music, I think it's a really big red flag.

Paige: About what?

Eve: No--that's for another time, all right? He just seems to me, that he's a part of this stoner, rock and roll culture that, well, sweetheart, you don't need any part of, because you are going to Stanford, right?

Paige: Are you saying I shouldn't date JJ? Celebrate big savings at the sears July 4th event.

JJ: Like I said, it was quick. Ms. Larson had a work text, and she had to answer it, so I left. Do you want me to move the box?

Jennifer: What?

JJ: That box. Do you want me to get it out of here before dinner?

Jennifer: No, I already did it, thank you.

JJ: But, your yearbook's still here.

Jennifer: Oh, yeah. You know what? I thought that I could just impress Paige's mom, and just show her my glory days at Salem high. [Laughs] I'm just kidding. I would never do that to you.

JJ: Then why is it still here?

Jennifer: Remember I told you about my nemesis in high school? I found her picture. Do you want to see her?

JJ: Why not? [Laughs]

Eve: I won't keep you from seeing JJ. But, um, you just be careful.

Paige: I am. Mom, you'll--you'll see once you get to know him. Just give him a chance, okay? Tonight?

Eve: Well, you can't just drop me on his family.

Paige: No, no, JJ's mom invited you personally.

Eve: Uhh.

Paige: Now you have to come. Will you? Please?

Eve: Mm, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.

Paige: [Laughs] Thank you, you're the best. Oh, thank you so much. Wait until you see JJ with his family. They are such good people, Mom. [Exhales] You'll get it.

Eve: I hope so. I'm sure I will!

Paige: If you give him a chance.

Eve: I will, I truly, I will, okay?

Paige: Oh! You're the best.

Eve: Oh, you are.

Both: [Laugh]

Jordan: Let me guess, Kate. You're worried about Rafe, so you think the best thing is for me to back off.

Kate: All right, don't put words in my mouth, all right? When's the last time you spoke to him?

Jordan: [Scoffs] And that's your business why?

Kate: Well, you see, because I just saw him, and he's blaming himself for everything that happened to Gabi.

Jordan: That's not news.

Kate: Wow. That's cold.

Jordan: Okay, I just don't get why you're here, in my face. You think I'm the one that made him feel that way?

Kate: No, I--I think he brought it all on himself.

Jordan: Okay, then why are you here?

Kate: Because he needs you, you little fool! You made him fall in love with you, and now you need to step up.

Jordan: Okay, I don't get it.

Kate: Okay, well I'm only using one-syllable words. So what is it that you don't understand?

Jordan: What game are you playing?

Kate: I'm not playing a game. And if I thought I could help him, I would, but I can't. So you may be the last person who can. So, damn it, do it.

Tad: Hey.

Ben: Hey. I'll be working on the inventory.

Tad: Ah, someone was in here looking for you.

Ben: Who?

Tad: Chill, it was Abigail.

Abigail: Uh, you know, Sami, I'm not sure what you mean.

Sami: About you and EJ? Really?

Abigail: No, I--I, uh...

Sami: But he was there for you, right? When you were so upset about your father, and Chad, and everything? It's not just because he has a soft spot for you, which he does, of course. I mean, it's just that most people don't get to see how caring he really is.

Abigail: I'm sure.

Sami: And kind, and loyal... and now I'm making him sound like a boy scout. [Laughs] But he's also funny, and sexy, and strong, and--and now I'm just rambling, and I can't seem to make myself stop.

Abigail: Hey, it's okay, you know, you're-- you're in love!

Sami: I am. I am the luckiest woman in the world. Will you please stand up with us?

Abigail: Of course. Yeah.

Sami: Thank you.

Abigail: Yes.

Sami: It means a lot to me. And, while I'm asking for favors, I have to be honest. There's one more thing. Will you do a reading, at the wedding? You don't have to do any work, I've already picked out the selection. It's super straightforward. I mean, you don't have to practice or anything. But since you're already gonna be there, I thought it would--

Abigail: Yeah, Sami, it's--it's--it's fine. Whatever you want, sure.

Sami: Thank you.

Abigail: Yeah, well I better get going to the DiMera mansion. I have quite a lot of measuring to do, so...

Sami: Oh, I'm sure you do. No, seriously, though. Abigail, thank you. I'm never gonna forget what you did...for me. If you need any help at the mansion, Harold will be there. And I'll be home shortly.

Abigail: Okay, great, then. I will, uh, I'll see you later.

Sami: Yes you will. Just you wait.

Rafe: Yeah, well, it's not like I can call the warden myself, or I would. I just want to know how my sister's doing. Isn't there anyone you can reach out to at Statesville? Yeah, I thought so... all right, well thanks, man. You know, I owe you.

Tad: Whoa.

Ben: I'm sorry.

Tad: You act like you owe Abigail money, or something. She wasn't looking for you like that.

Ben: I know, I know.

Tad: What?

Ben: Nothing. Everything's fine.

Tad: Abigail's a close friend of mine. I don't want to see her get hurt.

Ben: Neither do I.

Sami: You're late.

Kate: Okay, I had a few things I had to take care of.

Sami: Well, I hope you got them taken care of, so that you have a clear head to focus on our business.

Kate: Well, some of us can manage more than one thing at a time, Sami.

Sami: Ha. This isn't just walking and chewing gum, Kate.

Kate: One of which I never do.

Sami: Okay, I'm serious. You cannot blow this for me. After everything that I have had to swallow--

Kate: Please, please! Please tell me you didn't let EJ and Abigail see you like this.

Sami: No, of course not. I played it perfectly. Even though I have to take antacids every half an hour, so I don't throw up, or kill one of them.

Kate: Okay, okay. Just steady, you have to stay steady.

Sami: Game face is on. Trust me, I've got this. The two of them won't know what hit them.

Abigail: Okay, yeah. Yeah, I am so amazing, and considerate, and, boy, do I have a knack for this. If you only knew... okay.

EJ: Abigail.

Abigail: Oh!

EJ: Whoa!

Jennifer: Shoot, honey. Ah, I'm gonna have to find it again, hold on.

JJ: No worries, it's--it's all good.

Jennifer: I am so glad that Paige's mom is gonna join us for dinner.

JJ: Really?

Jennifer: Yeah! What, you don't think it's a good idea?

JJ: No, it's a--it's--it's fine.

Jennifer: Okay, what's wrong? Tell me what's going on.

JJ: I'm just, I'm being, I'm being stupid.

Jennifer: About?

JJ: Paige's mom finding out that her daughter's boyfriend has a criminal record.

Jennifer: Okay, well, first of all, that is not going to come out at dinner. And even if it did, even if it came out at some point, you have a good heart, honey. And that is so obvious to anyone who gets to know you. And you have cleaned up your life. And I think that Mrs. Larson will respect that.

JJ: Or not. Not everyone is as forgiving as you.

Jennifer: You know what? Come here. Maybe Mrs. Larson will surprise you, honey. And you know, Paige said that I remind her so much of her mom. You know, so maybe...

JJ: Oh.

Jennifer: What? You don't think it's true?

JJ: Um, no... I didn't get that at all.

Eve: Okay, my dear. Which one?

Paige: They're both nice.

Eve: Nice? Come on.

Paige: Ugh. Beautiful, tasteful, nice designs...

Eve: [Laughs]

Paige: They'll both look great on you.

Eve: Oh, but, you pick.

Paige: Um, the blue one.

Eve: Really?

Paige: Mm-hmm.

Eve: You think it might be just a little too casual?

Paige: It's not.

Eve: I don't know.

Paige: The Deverauxs are very casual and down-to-earth.

Eve: What?

Paige: JJ's family. They may live in a big house, but they're very--

Eve: JJ Deveraux? Your boyfriend is JJ Deveraux?
