Brady: [Sighs] [Yawns]
Maggie: Victor? Herbert Brandt is here to see you.
Victor: Thank you, Maggie.
Maggie: Mr. Brandt.
Victor: Herb, what brings you by?
Herbert: I was in the neighborhood.
Victor: Oh, once you got past the guard house and the gate, huh?
Herbert: That's right.
Victor: How are things at McCutcheon?
Herbert: Well, you go to the same board meetings I do. You've heard. Our markets are contracting.
Victor: No, they're correcting. We'll be fine, as long as we keep moving forward, don't try and backtrack. If you'll excuse me, we have a wedding here today.
Herbert: Tell me I heard wrong, Victor. Tell me this isn't a wedding between two men.
Victor: Well, that's exactly what it is.
Abigail: All right.
JJ: All right, do we have them all?
Abigail: Uh, almost. Sonny found another one that he wants in there. So I'll just pick it up on my way. Let's see--
Jennifer: Hey, what are you two up to?
Kayla: Mom, let's go. You ready for the wedding? What's the matter?
Caroline: Okay, I can't. I can't do it. The boys asked me to speak. I can't.
[Knock at door]
Adrienne: [Exhales] Look at you.
Sonny: This tie's too big, right? Or something? 'Cause I just can't do it. And this used to be my thing. I'd wear a tie every day. So I don't know what's happening.
Adrienne: Honey, honey, honey, it's not easy. It's not the tie. It's your wedding day and you're nervous.
Sonny: I'm not nervous. I think it's that this place has a weird energy to it. I barely slept. I was having weird dreams, mom.
Adrienne: Honey, I never sleep when your father's away. You get used to them being beside you.
Sonny: Yeah. And after today, I'll be waking up every morning with will... for the rest of our lives.
Gabi: Oh, look at your daddy. He's freaking out.
Will: [Scoffs] Thank you for that.
Gabi: No, the wedding's gonna be beautiful, and you look perfect, right? Actually, you're not freaking out. What are you?
Will: I'm excited. I-I can't wait for it to just start. I can't wait to see everyone standing there, and to be standing there next to Sonny. We're getting married.
Will: Not just "yeah." We're so lucky.
Gabi: Well, it's gonna be a first in many ways.
Will: Yeah, right. I mean, hey, forget gay wedding. If we just get through the ceremony, I mean, that's a big win for my family.
Will: I mean, seriously, my mom's record on weddings is, like, 5-for-14. [Chuckles]
Sami: Ten minutes! I want everyone at the front door in ten minutes, dressed and ready to go.
EJ: Yes, sir. Reporting for duty. Mmm. Mwah. Are they excited?
Sami: Oh, yes. Can you believe it? They're thrilled. Oh, um, make sure that you say something nice about Allie's dress, because she has put on five in the last hour alone.
EJ: Mm-hmm. You look wonderful in this dress. It looks great with your new hair.
Sami: Oh, thank you. This is so normal, isn't it? Just normal and nice.
EJ: Yeah, normal, nice. It's gonna be good for the kids, especially for Johnny, to see a wedding that doesn't go boom.
Sami: [Laughs] Aww.
Sami: Ooh, I'll get it.
Sami: Hey. Oh, Mom. What's wrong?
Marlena: There may not be a wedding today.
Kate: Well, hello, handsome. You look fantastic.
Lucas: Oh, thanks. So do you.
Kate: Should we go to the house together?
Lucas: No, no, you go ahead. There's something I have to take care of first.
Kate: Okay, okay. Well, I should get going then.
Lucas: You're gonna go now? It's so early.
Kate: Well, I thought if I got there early, I could check out the decorations, fix anything that Maggie might have made too sweet.
Lucas: Mm, play nice with aunt Maggie.
Kate: I will.
Lucas: You better.
Kate: I will.
Lucas: I'm watching you, like a hawk.
Maxine: I'll be here. [Chuckles] See ya then, Abe.
Maxine: Oh, yeah, we're going to will and Sonny's wedding. I got just enough time to get changed.
Jordan: Oh, you brought your dress here, good call.
Maxine: Yeah, what about you?
Jordan: Oh, well, I did bring a dress, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna need it.
Maxine: Why wouldn't you?
Jordan: I'm not sure Rafe still wants to take me with him or not.
Tad: You're stocked for the first two shifts. You're in charge. Um, I'll be by after the wedding, but until then-- Rafe?
Tad: Big day.
Rafe: It is.
Tad: What can I do ya for?
Rafe: Well, I'm actually here to see your bartender.
Adrienne: What? What'd you lose?
Sonny: My cuff links.
Adrienne: Oh, that's okay. I can go get 'em.
Sonny: No, no, you know what? I'll text Gabi. I'll just tell her to bring 'em.
Adrienne: Okay. Oh, you know what? I just--
Sonny: Mom, just--mommy-- mom, I've got it.
Adrienne: Let me--let me do something, will you?
Sonny: You helped with this entire wedding.
Adrienne: Honey, I wanna help you. I'm so proud of you. I-I know I had my reservations about this wedding at first. But it's not because I don't love you or will. The fact is, I really do love you two together. Honey, you deserve this day.
Sonny: Thank you.
Adrienne: [Deep breath]
Will: What am I worried about? Nobody's gonna be looking at me today, 'cause this right here is the star of the show.
Will: I love this dress. Who gave it to her?
Gabi: Uh, this one's Kate's. I have one from Sami and Adrienne. I'm gonna be changing her every two hours so that no one's feelings get hurt.
Will: You know, you deal with so much crazy from my family, and I don't thank you enough.
Gabi: Look at what I have. Our baby has two fathers who adore her and who help me a lot. I mean, I know we don't always agree, but what family does?
Will: I'm so glad that you think of Sonny as family.
Gabi: Well, Sonny's the person who made sure she was born safe. And he's the first person to ever see her. I'm lucky, will. I mean, this-- this works. Arianna adores him.
Will: You're gonna get yours. Gabi, you're gonna get yours and so much more, I know it. And someday, you're gonna meet the man of your dreams and you're gonna fall in love.
Marlena: I did everything on the website. I filled out all the forms. I even checked "expedite." I mean, I should've been ordained yesterday.
Sami: Well, did you call them?
Marlena: Yes, I did. I got the runaround. I even explained that I had a wedding today, and that if I didn't get the certificate, it might not even be legal. And I know the boys are counting on me.
Sami: You know what? I'll call a justice of the peace and just make sure he's available on standby, okay?
Marlena: Oh, sure, good idea. Just not very personal, you know? Oh, I really wanted to be there for will.
EJ: Oh, you don't even need to ask.
EJ: Marlena, I will take care of it. I'll make sure you perform that wedding, don't you worry.
Marlena: Oh, thank you.
Theresa: Somebody's been sleeping in my bed. It's nice to see you.
Brady: Did you think I'd bolt before you woke up?
Theresa: Well, you wouldn't be the first. But I'm glad you stayed. So you think this was a mistake?
Lucas: Thanks for meeting me.
Justin: It's a good idea. So, our boys.
Lucas: Yeah, yeah. We couldn't ask for anything better for our sons.
Justin: No, we couldn't. You're right.
Lucas: So, did you have a chance to work on any material yet?
Justin: Well, I jotted down a few notes. Mostly, I'm just winging it.
Lucas: Well, you know, maybe I should see what you have to say. That way, we can make sure not to overlap.
Justin: Lucas, don't worry about it. I'm speaking first. So if there is any overlap, you'll get a chance to cut it. You want some coffee?
Lucas: Yeah, yeah, sure. Thank you. Thanks for that.
Jennifer: What's in the box?
Abigail: It's a surprise.
Jennifer: Well, nothing is my favorite kind of surprise.
Abigail: It's for the wedding, and Sonny swore us to secrecy.
Jennifer: I am your mom. I'm sure I can take a peek at--
JJ: No, we swore a groomsman oath.
Abigail: Yeah, I know I did. You'll find out at the wedding, mom. All right, squirt. We gotta go in ten, so go get dressed.
JJ: All right, watch the box.
Jennifer: I don't even care what's in the box anymore.
Abigail: Oh, yes, you do.
Jennifer: Oh, let me fix the back of your dress, baby.
Abigail: Oh, is it twisted?
Jennifer: You are really excited about this wedding.
Abigail: I am.
Jennifer: It is really nice to see you happy again. I know you've been having a rough time lately.
Abigail: Because if you were either of those things-- if you were good or decent-- you would've had some restraint and you would've left me the hell alone. Not anymore.
Herbert: You know our markets, Victor. We cater to family values buyers.
Victor: Perfect. My grandnephew's partner has a baby, a little girl. She and her mother will be staying with them.
Herbert: I don't want to hear about your grandnephew.
Victor: Why not? It's a very happy family. It all works well, so--
Herbert: One boycott, that's all it takes. Our customers are strong in their beliefs, and they will vote with their wallets.
Victor: Herb, we can't be intimidated by small-minded people.
Herbert: They're entitled to their opinions, just like anyone else.
Victor: And my grandnephew and his partner are entitled to their lives.
Herbert: But we have a responsibility to the business.
Victor: Oh, stop hiding behind the customers, Herb. This is all about the way you feel, isn't it?
Caroline: I've been working on what to say ever since the boys asked me. I try to practice. The minute I open my mouth... [Snaps] It's gone. This damn disease.
Kayla: Well, you know, mom, a lot of people have trouble with public speaking, I mean, for all sorts of reasons.
Caroline: Well, I bet they'd remember the name of the boy that will's marrying.
Caroline: Yes, right, Sonny. How am I gonna remember that? I just don't wanna disgrace myself. I don't wanna ruin the day for the boys.
Kayla: No one expects a wedding speech to be perfect. It just needs to be sincere, okay? You got that.
Caroline: Coherent might help.
Kayla: It's gonna be all that. Okay, all right. This is what's gonna happen. You're just gonna--you're gonna tell me what you wanna say. And I'm gonna type it out. And then we'll print it up and you'll have it right there for you. You have nothing to worry about, okay? You can do this.
Victor: You're a bigot, Herb, and a hypocrite.
Herbert: Well, there's no need for name-calling.
Victor: No, you've been very careful about that today. But I can just hear you in the car on the way home. Yes, I've received your group email jokes before.
Herbert: Well, if people can't have a sense of humor, that's not my fault--
Victor: I'm resigning from the board.
Herbert: Well, there's no need for you to--
Victor: My shares went on the block today. I'm liquidating my position. Yes, I was expecting you.
Herbert: Because you don't like my personal opinions?
Victor: No, because I'm sure with your mindset, the company won't survive the 21st century.
Herbert: Family values never go out of style.
Victor: Your version already has. Give my best to Gloria.
Herbert: It's Courtney now.
Victor: Oh, sorry. I have a hard time keeping track of your wives. Maybe the fourth time will be a charm. Family values my ass.
Maggie: Oh! I love you. Have I told you lately how much I love you?
Victor: Yeah, yeah.
Maggie: Yeah. Mmm. Oh.
Gabi: Are we off, daddy?
Gabi: We are going to see you down the aisle. [Gasps] Are we ready?
Gabi: Are we ready? [Gasps] Yes, we are. Can you get the door, please?
Gabi: Thank you. Can you hang onto that for mama?
Eric: Is this a bad time?
Gabi: No. Let me grab that. Okay. Thank you. Hey, just keep him calm, okay?
Will: This is, uh, perfect timing.
Sonny: All right, Gabi found the cuff links and she's on her way.
Adrienne: Good, good. You know, I'm gonna run downstairs, see if they need help with anything.
Sonny: No--hey, mom? Don't--don't rush. I just wanna spend a little more time with you. And you know uncle vic. He's got the whole staff, so--
Adrienne: True, true, true. Do I get a second shot at that tie if I stay?
Adrienne: Thank you. [Chuckles] You're indulging me, aren't you? Letting me do something.
Sonny: Mom, you know how hard this was to, like, decide how to handle this ceremony. And if we had everyone speak, it would take, like, five hours, and then I would lose all of my friends.
Adrienne: Honey, I'm fine, really. And I think it's wonderful that you're having your father speak. And believe me, I know why it had to be that way.
Sonny: You do?
Adrienne: Oh, of course. If you had me, then you'd have to have Sami speak, and then it would be all about her. No, you don't have to say a word, honey. Just know I get it. [Chuckles] I'm not upset at all.
Sami: Okay, I have the number for a J.P., so we're all good to go. We should go to see will.
Marlena: Oh, we don't know what EJ's doing yet.
Sami: It's better if we don't. He'll get it done.
EJ: Can you get him for me? Look, no, no, no. Not the website tech. I need the CEO of the company. This is an emergency.
Sami: EJ's got it all worked out, okay? So we should go, or will and Sonny are gonna get nervous if they don't see us, you know? And EJ will get it handled. He'll come let us know about it. He's got all the information he needs, right?
Sami: Come on. Kids, we're leaving right now!
Marlena: I should've gone to Chicago, alone, sooner.
Marlena: Okay, mom, the website should've done what they said that they were gonna do. EJ's gonna fix it. This is going to work out.
Marlena: I think you might be right. You know, I was meant to marry will and Sonny, so that's what I'm gonna do. Let's go.
Sami: Kids, get down here.
EJ: In Chicago? Get me an address.
Maxine: You wanna tell me what you think has gone wrong with Rafe? Uh, not to pry, but that chart rack needs some relief.
Jordan: It's nothing. I shouldn't have said anything.
Jordan: I've made a lot of mistakes. And I'm afraid I might've made one too many.
Maxine: Nah. I'm bettin' on that cute face. It's a wedding day, honey. It's all about love. And if I don't give up, you can't either.
Rafe: Listen, I don't know what happened between you and Jordan. Maybe it is none of my business. But I care about her, a lot.
Ben: That's good to hear.
Rafe: Yeah. Well, she's obviously been through some rough times.
Ben: Yeah, she has.
Rafe: Yeah. I can't change what was. But I can make sure that nobody hurts her again. And that includes her brother.
Ben: I told you I would never hurt any woman, especially Jordan.
Rafe: Yeah, yeah. Well, I'm gonna hold you to that.
Brady: You know, we both have somewhere to be today.
Theresa: Ugh, right.
Theresa: Wedding. [Chuckles] So, uh, it's a good thing we cleared out of your place last night, or I'd wake up with a pew bow tied on me.
Brady: That's a nice picture, actually.
Theresa: Mm-hmm. Are you going?
Brady: [Sighs] Yeah. Yeah, I have to.
Theresa: Are you looking forward to having the whole family judge you at once?
Brady: Yeah. I mean, it'll save a lot of awkward calls down the line. That way, everybody's in one place. They can all judge me at once. It's much more efficient that way.
Theresa: Ugh. Ick. Punt.
Brady: Mm, punt? What do you mean by punt?
Theresa: Just don't go. I mean, I might lose my invitation too.
Maxine: Hold on, phone call.
Jordan: Oh, would you mind taking a message?
Maxine: Girl, take the call.
Rafe: Hi. Maybe I owe you an apology.
Jordan: Oh, what for?
Rafe: Not calling earlier to confirm. There's this great wedding today and, um, I don't wanna go alone.
Jordan: That would be no fun.
Rafe: So where shall I pick you up?
Jordan: Uh, the hospital. I have a dress here, so I could be ready in a half hour.
Rafe: Huh. What a coincidence. It'll take me that long to get there.
Jennifer: Sweetie, listen. You do not have to tell me any details if you don't want to. It is just so nice to see you looking like yourself again. You really turned a corner.
Abigail: Yeah, I have.
Jennifer: But know if you ever wanna talk about anything, I am here for you.
Abigail: I know. And I will definitely take you up on that if I ever feel the need. Really, I will.
Abigail: It's--it's not even worth thinking about. Mom, I just woke up to some facts.
EJ: Well, with all due respect, this is not exactly rocket science. I mean, you can get a copy of the certification. You can scan it and you can email it to me. Well, if you don't have the technology, you can fax it to me. Look, Dr. Evans met all of your requirements. She has completed the certification. As I told you earlier, she is due to perform a wedding in town this afternoon. Well, no, that's not acceptable. Oh, you want to know who I am? Yeah? You're about to find out, my friend. So, here's the story of new Lancaster.
Marlena: Oh, you were perfect with that buffoon. And wait till Sonny hears.
Victor: It's Sonny's wedding day. He doesn't need to hear how many mean-spirited people there are out there.
Maggie: Oh, he knows that. But he doesn't know how fantastic you are.
Victor: He knows that too.
Maggie: Well, then it's not any harm, right?
Victor: Maggie, please, it's their day. Nobody else needs to hear about it either.
Maggie: Hmm. You are no fun at all.
Victor: I will be when the dancing starts. I have to change my clothes.
Maggie: Mm, okay.
Maggie: Oh. Mmm.
Kate: Was that Herb Brandt I just saw tearing down your driveway going 90?
Maggie: Probably. Come on in, Kate.
Kate: What's going on?
Maggie: Oh, Herb and Victor had a meeting.
Kate: He knows about the wedding?
Kate: Well, given Herb's politics, I think I can imagine what he had to say. And I can imagine how Victor reacted.
Kate: That's all you're gonna say?
Maggie: That's all I'm allowed to tell you or anyone else.
Kate: So how's Victor doing?
Maggie: Um, ready to dance.
Kate: Gotta love that man.
Rafe: Are you heading to the wedding?
Abe: Uh, yeah, but I'm gonna stop by the hospital first.
Rafe: Oh, me too.
Abe: All right, let's go.
Rafe: All right.
Caroline: Does it make sense?
Kayla: It's perfect.
Caroline: It's rough around the edges.
Kayla: You know what, mom? It is beautiful. Trust me, okay? All right. Listen to me. I'm going to send it to the printer right there. And it's in big type, so you'll have no problem seeing it, okay?
Kayla: Oh, sorry. One second. Sorry. Dr. Brady. Oh. When? No, no, you were right to call me, it's fine. Um, listen just go down the surgical roster and start calling, okay? All right. I'll be there soon. Uh, there's an emergency at the hospital. I think I have to go. I don't wanna leave you.
Caroline: Oh, oh. I think I'll know one or two of those people. I mean, it's just a guess.
Kayla: Oh, very funny. All right, let me get up. Ah. Ooh, look it, it's beautiful. Oh, look at that.
Kayla: It's gonna be great. All right, I'm gonna call roman and have him pick you up, okay?
Kayla: All right. Tell those boys that I'm gonna get there as soon as I can, all right?
Caroline: I will, I will.
Kayla: I love you, mama.
Caroline: Mwah. Go on now.
Kayla: All righty.
Will: You're sure?
Eric: Why wouldn't I be okay? I think mom is a perfect choice to marry you and Sonny. I'm actually looking forward to sitting in the cheering section. Speaking of which, I brought you a little wedding gift.
Will: Oh, you did not need to do that.
Eric: Oh, I think you're ready for this.
Eric: You know what? If you're ready to get married and you're willing to make that commitment, maturity. I think the time is now, will.
Will: For what? Oh, my--[Laughs]
Eric: You ready to dump them bears and move up to a real team?
Will: Ahh. And you got matching his and his, that is so touching.
Will: Ah. [Wisconsin accent] Go, Packers!
Will: This--this is not happening. [Chuckles]
Eric: It even matches your tuxedo. [Laughs]
Will: That's debatable. I couldn't put this in my vows, because I didn't want to upset people. But here's what I really want to say today. You opened my heart to me, Sonny. You know where I was when I first came out. Forget that I couldn't admit I was gay, I was mired in so much twisted stuff with my family, with EJ, trying to protect myself and figure out what the hell was going on around me. In fact, that pretty much describes every day of my life before I met you. You cut through all the fog. It only looked like my life got crazy with Arianna and all that drama after we got together. The truth is, everything was simple after I fell in love with you. I don't know how I got so lucky to find a man who was so warm and generous and loving, first time out of the gate. But I promise to never forget what a gift you are. I'm honored that in a few hours, you'll be my husband. All my love, Will.
Rafe: Wow, Maxine. What-- okay, I almost did not recognize you outside of your uniform.
Abe: You look beautiful.
Maxine: Why thank you. Well, I had to come out first, 'cause I certainly could not follow that.
Jordan: Too much?
Jennifer: JJ, come on, we're gonna be late. Oh.
Jennifer: Oh, that's really nice. They are gonna feed you at the wedding. You know, there's gonna be food.
JJ: After the wedding. I'm hungry now. Where's Abigail?
Jennifer: Well, she had to make a stop for this mystery in the box thing.
JJ: Oh, right. Okay, cool.
Jennifer: You know what? I can help you. I mean, there's no way that you can carry that chicken leg and that box at the same time--
JJ: Well, you could-- thank you. You didn't think it'd be that easy, did ya?
Jennifer: Little brat.
Abigail: Excuse me. Hi. Uh, you work here, right? Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you.
Ben: Yeah, yeah. No, yeah, I'm sorry. It's just that your dress--
Abigail: Oh, uh--
Ben: Uh, no, y-you're dressed up. And we just don't get much of that in here. I mean, like--like that.
Abigail: Oh. Uh, well, I'm going to Sonny's wedding, so that's why.
Abigail: There should be a package here that I'm supposed to pick up, I think, back there.
Ben: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Abigail: Right, thank you.
Ben: Here you go.
Abigail: Great. Thanks. And, um, next time I'll try to remember the dress code.
Ben: Yeah. That was real smooth, moron.
EJ: There's room on the south lawn. Put the chopper down there. I'll be with you in a second. We're going to Chicago.
Sami: And stay out of the flower beds. Don't get dirty, please.
Marlena: Yeah, just check your phone.
Sami: I just did.
Marlena: Is the ringer on?
Sami: Yes, it's on. We will hear from him.
Sami: He'll call us in a-- this is him. Hey, honey. You're going now?
Maggie: Kate, you're the first to arrive.
Kate: Yeah, well, I just wanted to be sure, you know, in case any last-minute adjustments were needed.
Maggie: Well, I did the decorations myself.
Adrienne: I'll get it. Oh, hi, guys, come on in.
Sami: Do you really think you'll make it back in time?
Adrienne: Hi, sweetie.
Justin: Um, is something wrong?
Marlena: No, no. Everything's fine.
Lucas: Are you sure?
Marlena: Yes, quite sure.
Adrienne: Sonny and will are absolutely delighted that you're gonna be performing the ceremony. Is there anything you need or anything we can set up for you?
Rafe: No, no, no. It is not too much. Although you are lucky that there's not gonna be a bride at the wedding, otherwise you'd be in big trouble, because you definitely would be the prettiest woman there.
Jordan: Okay, now I know it's too much. I'm gonna change.
Rafe: No, no, no, no, no. Don't, don't. No, it's good.
Rafe: Yeah. Really. It's good.
Brady: Mm. Mm. No, I can't blow off this wedding. No, you can't either.
Theresa: Oh, probably not. Hey, let's go together.
Brady: [Sighs] What?
Theresa: Yeah, let's show up like a couple, you know? Let them deal with us then, yeah?
Maggie: Have you seen Brady?
Victor: No. He went out early.
Maggie: Well, the guests are starting to arrive.
Marlena: Okay, okay, okay, okay, what does EJ say?
Sami: He says he's handling it.
Marlena: Wow, you know what? It's getting a little late. Maybe I should just warn the boys.
Sami: No, no. There is still time, Mom. There's time for you to just let EJ do his thing.
I'm sorry, you can't just walk in with-- no, you'll need an appointment, sir.
EJ: I can assure you, your boss is expecting me.
Carmel: I am expecting you. We are fine. Thank you. And welcome to the church of life and energy.
EJ: So you're the proprietor of this, um, establishment?
Carmel: Well, that is so, uh, possessive. No, I am a facilitator, a channel. I'm Carmel. And you are Dr. Evans' lawyer? Yes. You look familiar.
EJ: You know, I don't think we've met. Pretty sure I'd remember. As I explained on the telephone, Dr. Evans is scheduled to perform a wedding today in Salem. She needs that certification, so I came to pick it up myself.
Carmel: Impressive. Pointless. I'm afraid that you have come all this way for nothing.
Sami: [Gasps] You are so pretty, precious. You are so cute, even in this color dress.
Kate: Oh, I knew that she would look absolutely beautiful in it. Look at you, my beautiful little girl.
Sami: Great-grandma's prerogative?
Gabi: Well, she's gonna wear your dress for the reception.
Sami: Oh, that was good thinking. It's longer, she'll be more comfortable.
Gabi: Right. Um, I have to take these cuff links upstairs. Could you guys just all keep an eye on her.
Sami: Ooh, yeah, of course.
Adrienne: Our pleasure.
Sami: I'd love to, totally. Yeah.
Kate: So cute.
Sami: [Coos] Um, come on, Kate. It's nice to share.
Kate: Okay. Here you go.
Adrienne: Ooh, yes, me. Oh, awesome, hello, baby doll.
Kate: I need to look at the seating plan anyway.
Justin: She's a sweetie pie.
Lucas: She sure is.
Kate: I mean, I just--
Sami: It's not fair. She's just--she's just so precious. I just want--[Babbling]
Lucas: I know, I know. She is, you're right, she is.
Sami: So is our boy, our little boy.
Lucas: He's not little anymore, Sami.
Sami: I know, but I still picture him in footsie pajamas. How did we make a kid that turned out so great?
Lucas: I think he ignored us every chance he got.
Sami: [Laughs] You're probably right. How's your speech?
Lucas: My speech is good. Oh, what's the matter? A little jealous? Wish you had a speech?
Sami: Yes. I'll be honest, I did have a little bit of jealousy in there. But then I realized that, um, if I spoke, so would Adrienne.
Sami: And I thought she would make the whole thing about her journey into accepting will, despite his degenerate family or whatever. And I think it was the best call, don't you?
Lucas: Yeah, I do.
Adrienne: Oh, I just wish all our boys could be here.
Justin: I know, me too. Have you seen Sonny?
Adrienne: Oh, yes. He is nervous and sweet and still my little boy.
Justin: Uh-huh, who owns his own small business and has a family to support.
Adrienne: Details. [Chuckles] No, I know. He has his own life. And he's made his own life. And that's exactly what we wanted for him.
