Provided By Suzanne
[Cell phone vibrates]
Theresa: [Scoffs] Why aren't you picking up? I am not a girl you want to ignore, Brady.
Rafe: So where are the guys?
Gabi: Oh, they're out already.
Rafe: Mm-hmm. The baby's asleep?
Gabi: Just you and me.
Rafe: Mm-hmm. So... you gonna tell me why I'm here?
Gabi: I'm having breakfast with my brother.
Gabi: Uh, okay, I, um... I wanted to tell you before people start talking.
Sheryl: It actually does make a difference if the cream is targeted for 40- to 50-year-olds versus 30-year-olds in how I design the packaging.
Nick: Totally, totally. That makes sense.
Sheryl: Let me, um-- all right, let me show you some mock-ups.
Nick: Oh, wow. I really like this one.
Nick: I really like this one. Yeah.
Nick: That's beautiful.
Sheryl: Great. Jordan? I thought you left town.
Kate: So I don't think our Jane doe...
Lucas: Her name is Jordan. "Jane doe."
Kate: No, that's her alias today. We don't know her name.
Lucas: That's right. You don't know squat.
Kate: Okay, look, I'll tell you one thing. I can guarantee you that she invented that job offer out of town.
Lucas: Why would she do that, mother?
Kate: Panic Rafe, he runs after her, and he has to beg her to stay in town. Come on, that's a classic maneuver. I think you've fallen for that a few times yourself.
Lucas: So you think this little of all men, not just Rafe. Well, that is just good to know.
Kate: Honey, come on, don't start getting all wounded. I mean, you know what I'm saying.
Lucas: No, I don't know what you're saying. In fact, I don't even want to figure it out because you sound like a jilted junior in high school.
Kate: Okay, how many times do I have to tell you this? This is not about Rafe and me. This is about Rafe. This is about protecting him from getting hurt again.
Lucas: [Sighs] If you don't want Rafe to get hurt, then stop going after Jordan.
Sami: There you are. Why did you get up so early? I was sort of hoping that I would get to, um, wake you up myself.
EJ: Mm-hmm. That is exactly why I fled...
Sami: Aah! [Laughs]
EJ: Because if I had done that, I would not have been able to let you out of bed for the rest of the day.
Sami: Well, I think we should maybe reconsider. We didn't get much sleep last night. Don't you think we should maybe go back to--mmm! Aah! But, EJ, no. You have work to do. All that important work you have to do. You don't want to...
Sami: Blow off the whole day.
EJ: You know, I do have a lot of work to do.
Sami: [Sighs] It was a nice date last night.
EJ: It was a lovely date last night.
Sami: Yeah, until Kate and Gabi lost their minds, right?
EJ: I'm telling you, darling--you have to get yourself a better class of coconspirator.
Sami: I know, right? I mean, Gabi I can get used to, but Kate--I mean, she should have more sense than to get anywhere near Stefano, never mind actually want to go on a date with him. I mean, she-- oh, my God. [Gasps]
Sami: Do you think that's why Stefano wanted you to get erectile-dysfunction drugs?
Sami: So he could go after Kate?
EJ: [Whispering] Samantha.
Sami: Stefano wants erectile-dysfunction drugs so he can keep up with Kate in bed?
EJ: Okay, Sam--
Sami: I mean, how are we supposed to deal with that? I mean, that's just--
EJ: Please, just keep quiet!
Sami: What? About erectile dysfunction? Is that a word we shouldn't use? Is it better if I use the initials, "E.D."?
EJ: Samantha, Samantha--
Sami: Low "t"? Testosterone? It's just a word.
EJ: He's a very proud man.
Sami: Men have it. You have it. Some men don't.
EJ: Samantha, can we leave it alone, baby, please? Can we just leave it alone, please? This is not the way to goad my father.
Sami: All right. I'm just, you know, worried. He's going after Kate.
EJ: Look, we don't know that. He's not even admitting that he had dinner with her.
Sami: You could ask him.
EJ: Mmm, mm-hmm, yeah. Um, or it could be none of my business.
Sami: Okay, fine. I will find Kate, and I will get the story out of her.
Lucas: So what's the plan now that Jordan's sticking around? You gonna have Ortiz keep digging into her past?
Kate: You mean digging into her many pasts?
Lucas: You gonna send him back to the Ozarks? Is that what you're gonna do?
Kate: Okay, you know, I'm gonna do whatever it takes. All right? Why are you doing this to me? I mean, if you were in my position, you would do the very same thing to protect a friend.
Lucas: But that's not what you're doing.
Kate: Jordan is not who she says she is, okay? And she has numerous phony IDs and aliases that say that.
Lucas: Yeah, but you don't know.
Lucas: You don't know.
Kate: That's the point. Lucas, that's the point. And if she has decided to stick in town, to stay here, then I am gonna make it my business to find out exactly who she is and what she's after.
Sheryl: I'm sorry. Uh, Jordan, this is Mr. Fallon.
Jordan: Yeah, we met. He used to be married to Rafe's sister.
Nick: It's nice to see you again. Can you excuse me? I just--I need to make a quick call.
Sheryl: Sure, yeah.
Nick: Is that okay? Excuse me.
Sheryl: So you decided to stick around?
Jordan: I did.
Sheryl: I bet that makes Rafe happy.
Jordan: Things are good.
Sheryl: So then what's with the look?
Jordan: Sheryl, I just don't get it. What are you doing with Nick Fallon?
Rafe: What did the S.O.B. Do now?
Gabi: He didn't do anything.
Rafe: Don't cover for him! If he hurt you--
Gabi: Okay, can you just calm down? Because you're gonna wake up Arianna.
Rafe: Just tell me what he did.
Gabi: Nothing. He did nothing. I mean, why do people assume that he's--
Rafe: Seriously? Really?
Gabi: I'm sick of this. You know, I'm sick of this. Rafe--
Rafe: Oh, no. Oh, no.
Rafe: No, this is the part where you tell me you think Nick's changed, right?
Gabi: You know what? Forget this.
Rafe: No, no, no. Gabi, really? Really?
Gabi: [Sighs] Look, you are no one--you are no one to talk, Rafe. No one.
Gabi: I can say that Nick has changed because I know him. I know him better than any other person in this whole entire town knows him. I know him. And I get that he made this huge mistake or three or five and that he wants to, you know, come back from it.
Rafe: You are not like him.
Gabi: And I'm not like you either. I'm not perfect like you, all right? And what I'm saying... what I'm saying is I wish people would just give him a break.
Rafe: Have you? Gabriella? Just tell me. Are you and Nick, um... hmm?
Gabi: No, all right? We're not together or anything. But I have been spending time with him.
Rafe: Oh, boy.
Gabi: And you're not gonna like what I have to say, but... I really believe that he's changed.
Rafe: [Scoffs] Play close.
Brady: Before you climb up on that high horse of yours, Maggie, you should know something. I haven't had one drop to drink tonight, not one drink.
Maggie: Hardly matters... since you're still behaving like an alcoholic.
Theresa: [Sighs] You're leaving me no choice but to do some work. You'll pay for that, Brady black.
[Knock at door]
Theresa: Um, Ms. Milbauer is out, but if you'd like me to leave a message, I can, uh...
John: I'm here to see you, Theresa.
EJ: Look, I just think that it's in our best interest to leave Stefano alone.
Sami: Well, it's not just him--it's Kate.
EJ: She's a big girl. She can take care of herself.
Sami: She was stupid enough to marry him. Who knows what she would do? What if she decides to tell him what she's been up to?
EJ: I don't think she's stupid enough to trust him.
Sami: Well, I still feel like it would be a good idea to remind her of that.
EJ: Okay. You go do that.
Sami: And then I have to figure out how to deal with Gabi.
EJ: I thought you gave that your best shot last night.
Sami: I know. And I didn't even make a dent. I mean, that girl is so naive and stubborn when it comes to Nick Fallon. What she really needs is someone who could--
EJ: No. Absolutely not.
Sami: Come on. She'll listen to you. She thinks you're smart. She thinks you're charming. You have a way with women, especially young women.
EJ: You're not gonna flatter me into doing this.
Sami: Come on. You've done it before. You have to know this is true, right? You got through to Abigail. You could just do it again. Please? For me? Couldn't you just go talk to Gabi and, you know, help her stay away from Nick? If she gets together with this guy, it's a disaster for us.
EJ: Right, but... if we go to Gabi, we risk pushing her right to Nicholas.
Sami: Oh, right. That would be me. You? You could go in with the right approach. Come on. Please?
Sami: [Smooching] Mwah! Thank you.
EJ: Okay, you're welcome.
Sami: I have to go find Kate.
EJ: Uh, darling, one quick thing--um, can we just keep the whole... "E.D.," "T" thing on the... D.L.?
Sami: Yeah, yeah. Of course. Love you.
Rafe: Sweetheart, listen... okay, when you were pregnant and scared that you were gonna have to raise this child on your own, I understood how you could get sucked in by this guy. But now?
Gabi: A lot has changed since before, Rafe.
Rafe: Before? Oh, okay. You mean before, like when Nick was blackmailing will and treating him and Sonny like dirt--then?
Gabi: He was recovering from what happened to him in prison.
Rafe: Only he didn't! He didn't even try! I-- would you listen to me? Just listen to me, your cop brother, okay? I have spent more than my fair share of time with ex-cons and I am telling you he has not changed, Gabi.
Gabi: You don't know him.
Rafe: Oh, my--
Gabi: You don't know that. He's not an ex-con, okay? He's a Horton, for God's sake.
Rafe: Mm-hmm. I am telling you, you have no idea what you are gonna put yourself through.
Gabi: Well... you know, I think I know Nick a whole lot better than you know Jordan Ridgeway.
Rafe: Ah... oh.
Sheryl: Well, I work with Nick at mad world. Yeah, he's, like, some genius chemist, and he designs the products, and I design the packaging.
Jordan: Oh, so this isn't a date?
Sheryl: No. Why?
Jordan: Nothing. Don't worry. Well, how about Lucas?
Sheryl: You mean my boss? Um... it's going well professionally... maybe personally.
Jordan: Well, I'm happy for you. Hey, I'm sorry, but I got to run.
Sheryl: No, no. We're gonna hang out next week, right?
Jordan: You bet. Call me.
Nick: How nice that you-- you made friends so quickly.
Sheryl: I actually-- I knew Jordan from Birmingham.
Nick: No kidding?
Nick: And you ran into each other here. What a small world.
Sheryl: I know, right? We were both surprised, especially Jordan.
Sheryl: It was great, you know? I'm her friend.
Sheryl: I want to show you some of the mock-ups I have for the boxes.
Nick: Oh, okay. [Sniffs]
Kate: All I want is for Ortiz to do his job. If he finds out that Jordan is legitimate, fine, fine. I'll be satisfied.
Kate: You don't think I would be thrilled to find out that she is totally harmless? Believe me--I could wish the two of them well, and I could be done with it.
Lucas: I am not buying that for a second. You need to get a new hobby. That's what you need.
Sami: Kate, we need to talk about where you spent last night.
Maggie: Okay, where is that?
Brady: Maggie, do you-- do you have a minute?
Maggie: Um, I don't. I'm on my way to chez rouge, and I have a--I have a--
Brady: Maggie, I-I need to tell you that I'm sorry.
Theresa: Did my parents send you to spy on me?
John: [Chuckles] Your father's I.S.A. He can spy for himself, and you would never know it.
Theresa: Oh, and that doesn't make me in the least bit paranoid. Okay, so, if my parents didn't send you, then...
John: I love my son.
Theresa: Hmm, here we go.
John: He means the world to me.
Theresa: Brady's a good guy.
John: That's a fact.
Theresa: Look... you don't have anything to worry about, okay? We're just having fun, hanging out--that's all.
John: Kind of sounds like the only fun you've had here in Salem. From what I hear, you've just been hitting one pothole after another.
Theresa: Yeah, it has been a challenge.
John: Maybe you just need the right break.
Theresa: And you're here to help me make it all better? Especially if that means staying far away from your son, right?
Gabi: Well, I wonder, Rafe, have you ever asked Jordan about her life before Salem? I bet you she wouldn't give you an answer.
Rafe: 'Cause she's a private person, not a criminal. Now, what do-- all right, all right. I see what you're doing here. You're trying to change the subject because we're talking about you and Nick and what a stupid move it is for you to be spending your life with him.
Gabi: Rafe, I'm an adult.
Gabi: I'm a mother, all right? And I can finally support us again. I'm not asking your permission to live my life.
Rafe: Okay. What exactly is it you wanted, then?
Gabi: Some understanding maybe. But whatever.
Gabi: I'm sorry, but I'm not gonna sit here and allow you... to talk trash about Nick, because he has changed. So, if you don't respect that, I'm sorry, but you're gonna have to go.
Rafe: Okay. Okay.
Gabi: [Sighs] Where are you going?
Rafe: Thanks for breakfast.
Gabi: Wait. Seriously?
Rafe: Yeah, seriously, because I am respecting your wishes, because I cannot talk about Nick, and I certainly have nothing nice to say about him. So give Ari a kiss for me.
Lucas: Yeah, mom, care to share?
Kate: [Sighs] You have a meeting with Drummond and page in 20 minutes.
Kate: From Boston.
Lucas: Right, right. You're right, I do. Indeed I do. Well, I'll leave you in capable hands. Give her hell.
Kate: Thank you so much, darling.
Lucas: Yep. [Sighs]
Sami: [Clears throat]
Kate: What the hell is your problem this morning?
Sami: You...and Gabi. But you are my assignment.
Kate: What's wrong with Gabi?
Sami: EJ and I saw her last night on a date with Nick.
Kate: Oh, God. When is that girl going to smarten up and just learn from her experience?
Sami: Yeah. That's great advice, Kate.
Sami: Stefano? Are you serious? Kate, what, are you freaking nuts?
Nick: Yeah, that's beautiful.
Sheryl: You like it?
Nick: I really like that a lot.
Sheryl: Great, great.
Nick: Yeah, let's keep that one.
Sheryl: Okay. I think, you know, it plays a part in women's purchase.
Nick: Yeah, absolutely.
Lucas: [Clears throat]
Nick: I couldn't agree more.
Lucas: What's going on here?
Sheryl: Hi. Um, I was just consulting with Mr. Fallon about some of my packaging designs for his new line.
Nick: She has such great ideas. It's so cool to be part of the process this way.
Lucas: I'm surprised you have time, Nick.
Nick: Well, you know, I like taking a total approach. I really do.
Sheryl: That's great.
Lucas: Sheryl, um, do you mind if I have a quick word with you before my next meeting?
Sheryl: Oh, okay. Oh, you mean right now?
Nick: You know what? I was just about to go. I need to get back to the lab. But, Sheryl, what a pleasure it was to meet you. Let me know if you need anything.
Sheryl: I will. Thank you.
Nick: I don't know where you and Kate found her, but Sheryl is a real asset.
Sheryl: Thank you.
Nick: I'll see you.
Sheryl: Did I do something wrong?
Lucas: Don't ever meet with him again. Do you understand?
Kate: Did Stefano tell you that we had dinner?
Sami: No. You did just now.
Kate: Damn it.
Sami: Relax. I figured it out for myself. I mean, it was your favorite champagne on the table and, of course, the plate of untouched food. I knew it was you.
Sami: But seriously, I get it, okay? Rafe just dumped you or--
Kate: No, he did not!
Sami: So you are going to jump back into bed with Stefano?
Sami: Have you lost your mind?
Kate: We didn't! I would-- Rafe did not dump me. You know very well that I broke it off with him a long time ago.
Sami: Okay, fine. But it's been a while, and you're looking for company. Trust me, Stefano cannot provide it.
Kate: I... would never.
Sami: So you didn't have dinner with him?
Kate: No, I did have dinner with him.
Sami: Why? Why would you consider that?
Kate: Sami, I promised Chad that I would share a meal with his father once. So I went over there, and I told Stefano exactly what I thought of him--well, why-- I don't have to explain myself to you!
Sami: Because this is Stefano DiMera that we are talking about.
Kate: Oh, really? Really? You don't think I know what that means? Because I do. I don't want anything to do with that man ever, ever again. But, you know, once again, I don't have to explain that to you because I learned from my experience, Sami. I'm not the one still living in his house. I'm not the one about to marry a man I tried to murder.
[Cell phone vibrates]
Gabi: Me too.
[Cell phone vibrates]
[Knock at door]
Gabi: That was fast.
Maggie: Brady, I'm sure you're sorry in this minute for something, but I don't have--
Brady: Maggie, Maggie, I was an ass. You had every right to be appalled at my behavior, and everything you said was true.
Maggie: Wow. That's quite an epiphany.
Brady: I just need to stop running away from how I feel... and face it.
Maggie: That sounds right. How are you gonna do that?
Brady: I don't know. I guess I need to think about that.
Maggie: That is the most sense you've made to me in weeks. I'm sorry, but I have to go. I hope you mean what you're saying, Brady, because if you do, I'll be here later. Take care today.
Sami: Why are you being such a bitch?
Kate: Well, maybe because you came in here with guns blazing. Maybe that's a bad choice of words. Why are you coming after me because of Stefano when you're involved with junior?
Sami: Oh, don't call him that.
Kate: Oh, come on. That is exactly what he is.
Sami: Now you're ragging on EJ. Why?
Kate: [Sighs] I don't know. I mean, I don't know. I mean, he was pretty great helping us with the Nick/Gabi fiasco. But he lost to Stefano. He's always going to come in second as long as Stefano is alive.
Sami: That is not true. And he only lost to Stefano because he wasn't willing to sacrifice the person he loves to "win." And that is exactly what Stefano does. He will grind up anyone who gets in his way, even if they just upset him a little, and you know that better than anyone.
Kate: I know. I do.
Sami: So... you should watch your back.
Kate: Why do you even care what the hell I do?
Sami: Because I like you, and I don't want to see you get hu-- oh, my God.
Kate: What did-- what did you just say?
Sami: No, I can't believe it. Just--words came out of my mouth. I didn't even know what--
Kate: That's okay, 'cause I didn't even hear it.
Sami: Yeah, 'cause it didn't happen.
Kate: No, no. What? What happened?
Sami: Exactly, right.
Kate: Sami, but--
Kate: Me too. You... you.
Sami: I mean, it's--it's not like we're--
Kate: But not friends, no.
Sami: No, more like... frenemies.
Kate: Of course, because of Gabi and the baby, you know?
Sami: Yeah, yeah.
Kate: [Clears throat]
Sami: Um, about Gabi...
Sami: And the baby, we need to watch out with the whole Nick situation, and we need to make sure that Stefano does not get involved.
Kate: Totally, I agree.
Sami: No matter what he offers or how he says he can help or for how long.
Kate: What do-- what do you mean "how long"? What are you talking about? I mean, I absolutely do not want to have Stefano in my life ever again, end of story. Okay, fine. I have to go. [Sighs] Sami, but, uh... thank you for that, uh, thing that you didn't actually say.
Sami: You're not welcome.
Kate: You know you don't have to worry about me. Gabi's the problem. Gabi is the only one who could bring trouble into our life.
EJ: You look disappointed.
EJ: Were you expecting somebody else? Okay.
Gabi: I was. But will--will's not here, so...
EJ: No, I came to see you. These are the photographs from the shoot.
Gabi: Oh, really? Um, great. But, you know, you could have sent this over digitally.
EJ: Actually, we have a policy at the company that we don't distribute anything that can be copied or reproduced via email.
Gabi: Right. Sami sent you, didn't she?
EJ: Why would you say that?
Gabi: Well, because she knows she kind of blew it last night when she was yelling at me about Nick, so you're plan "B."
EJ: I resent that. I am, in fact, plan "A." I tell you what-- you let me come in, I will do my duty, say my piece, get out of your hair. How about that?
Gabi: Sure. Come in.
Sami: Samantha Brady. Yeah. [Sighs]
Ben: I didn't make this up. There was a woman and a younger man in here talking about you like she has it in for you.
Jordan: Okay, not--not here. Let's go.
Ben: I'm gonna take my break.
Sami: I'm gonna call you back.
John: I can't fix all the potholes in your life, Theresa, but I can help you avoid 'em.
John: You know, what I've learned is that people are most happy when they've found their niche in the world, you know, doing what they're good at.
Theresa: Yeah, well, if I could get paid for shopping, then--
John: Mm-hmm, you've got good taste. That's a pretty nice bag.
Theresa: Yeah. It's the nicest thing I own.
John: It doesn't have to be.
Theresa: I'm listening.
John: Basic black... it's got a lot of opportunities for someone who's smart and willing to apply themselves.
Theresa: Yeah, well, the thing is I'm not really good with entry-level jobs. I just don't find them challenging enough, and I wander.
John: No, no, I'm not talking about office work or pushing papers. I'M... well, let me ask you something. What's your deal? Are you tied here to Salem?
Theresa: What do you mean?
John: I mean, I have more openings in Europe. You ever been there?
Theresa: Europe's kind of always been out of reach.
John: Not anymore.
Theresa: God. This is unbelievable. You're just trying to bribe me, right? You're just gonna give me a job in Europe to get me away from your son?
Brady: What the hell are you doing?
Sheryl: I-I'm sorry. I didn't--I didn't think that it would be a problem meeting with Mr. Fallon. I just wanted to make sure that my designs were--
Lucas: No, no, it's fine. I know you were just trying to do your job well.
Lucas: It's just he's a chemist. He doesn't know anything about marketing, so he's not the guy to talk to.
Sheryl: Got it. So much for trying to earn extra-credit brownie points with my bosses.
Lucas: You don't need to do that. Everybody is very impressed with you... especially me.
Nick: Kate. Wow. What a great catch.
Kate: Excuse me?
Nick: I just left a meeting with Sheryl-- you know, Sheryl from design-- and guess who walked by. Jordan Ridgeway. How amazing is it that they were friends in Birmingham before they got here? I bet I can guess who came first.
Kate: [Chuckles sarcastically] Do you have a point?
Nick: Did you get what you wanted? Did it pay off? Did you get the dirt on Jordan you were looking for?
Kate: You know, I think we need to check the ventilation in the lab, because it seems to me you must be inhaling fumes. And that's why you're getting crazier and crazier.
Nick: Oh, please, Kate, I put it together in two seconds flat. I can't imagine what I'd find out about what you're up to if I actually gave it any real attention.
Kate: Oh, my God. Nick, what do you want now?
Nick: I don't care what you have planned for Jordan or Rafe at all, as long as you leave me and Gabi alone. Okay?
Sami: Rafe. Hi.
Sami: What's wrong?
Rafe: Huh? Oh, well, um, I just had breakfast with my sister. She's lost her mind.
Rafe: Yeah. You might as well be warned, actually. She's gonna give Nick Fallon another chance.
Sami: Yeah, I saw them last night on a date. Look, Rafe, you really have to talk some sense into her.
Rafe: Uh, I tried, okay? Listen, to be continued. I actually have to meet someone, so...
Sami: She went that way with a guy from club TBD.
Jordan: Okay, so who was talking about me?
Ben: This woman and a guy. She was older than him. She had a blue streak in her hair.
Jordan: Right. I know her. Don't worry.
Ben: This did not sound good.
Jordan: Yeah, I know, but she's just possessive or jealous or something. It's not anything else.
Ben: Wait, wait. Was she with the guy that you stayed in town for?
EJ: Now, after the initial rollout, we're going to do a limited personal-appearance tour--all of the major markets in north America, some of the secondary markets probably in the southwest, and there may be a tiny bit of international travel as well.
Gabi: Yeah, I'd, um... I'd love that. I've never really traveled.
EJ: Oh, good. That's exciting. And obviously, at countess Wilhelmina, we're very cognizant of the fact that you have your daughter, so I'm sure her father and her grandmother will be quite happy to step in and help look after her for a day or two if that's--that's what's needed.
Gabi: Wow, this is exciting.
EJ: It is exciting.
Gabi: So... this is the carrot. Let's talk about why you're really here. Let's talk about Nick. Let's get it over with.
EJ: Okay. Please. [Sighs] Gabriella, this is what I have to say about Nick. You follow your heart.
EJ: You know what to do when it comes to Nick Fallon, and nobody else can or should be able to tell you.
Gabi: Um, okay. So what's the catch?
EJ: Well, I think only you know that. Look, I can tell you what I've seen. You came to my house. You were hurt. You asked for my help. Your life was a wreck because of Nick.
Gabi: Well, that's because I felt guilty for what I'd done.
EJ: What you thought you did... and to be fair, what he forced you to do in self-defense.
Gabi: But he's different now.
EJ: He is, yeah. But what we don't know and what we can't know yet is how he's different. Gabriella, you have a big heart. It is one of your most admirable qualities. But as your friend... I'm telling you just to, um... to be safe and take it slowly.
Brady: Why don't you spend some time fixing your own life? You know, you could use it. [Sighs] Hey. I'm sorry about that.
Theresa: No, it's okay. My dad's like that too. It's--
Brady: Oh, really? Bribery and deception? All the way?
Theresa: Um, no. He's more of the coercion type.
Theresa: That is, if he bothers to be around, which he really wasn't that much, so... [Chuckles]
Brady: Sounds familiar.
Theresa: Yeah, well, you know, forget about them. So what happened with Maggie last night? Did you get a chance to talk to her?
Brady: I did. My name is Karen and I have diabetic nerve pain.
Theresa: So? Hey, come on, go ahead. Tell me what happened with Maggie.
Brady: We had a knock-down, drag-out last night.
Theresa: Well, that doesn't sound like fun. I bet she fights dirty.
Brady: No, that was-- that was me. I saw her again this morning.
Theresa: Round two? Come on, give me the blow-by-blow.
Theresa: All right, come on, hey... step into my office. Maybe we should get a screwdriver, and you can tell me everything.
Brady: [Scoffs] Don't you have to work?
Theresa: Yeah... but you're far more important.
Rafe: Jordan was with some guy from the club?
Sami: Yeah, I think he works there. I mean, he could be a patient or something.
Sami: But it seemed sort of intense, whatever they were talking about, and not in a good way.
Rafe: Well, thanks.
Sami: Yeah. Good luck.
Ben: This is not good.
Jordan: Don't worry.
Ben: You don't walk away from me, okay?
Jordan: Stop. Stop!
Rafe: Hey, get your hands off her.
Gabi: Uh, thanks, EJ.
EJ: Of course. Anytime.
Gabi: EJ, hold on. I wanted to ask you something. I mean, you believe people change, don't you?
EJ: Of course. Maybe... eventually.
Gabi: That doesn't sound very positive.
EJ: You know, Gabriella, there were times... when I thought I had changed, and I swore to myself and to Samantha that I had, but I hadn't yet. And there were times when she trusted me, and she shouldn't have. And the consequences of that were really brutal, and we were lucky to escape with our lives.
Gabi: Wow, that is--
EJ: That's honesty. That's what that is. Now, you--you know where you've been. You know Nick's past.
Gabi: Yeah, but--
EJ: That's what you know. Anything else is just Nick talking. That's why I'm saying don't jump into this, okay? Be careful.
