Abigail: This is for you.

Jennifer: What?

Abigail: I ordered it online. So merry day after Christmas. And I can totally send it back if you hate it, but I actually think it's gonna look really good on you.

Jennifer: Well, if you ordered it and picked it out, I am not going to hate it.

Abigail: [Giggles]

Jennifer: Ooh. But I'm excited. I love presents.

Abigail: Okay, come on, come on.

Jennifer: [Laughs] [Gasps] Honey.

Abigail: You like it?

Jennifer: This is beautiful!

Abigail: Oh, good. I thought it just totally looked like you, and, you know, thank God you got it today, because now you can wear it for your date with Liam tonight.

Jennifer: You know what? That is not a bad idea.

Abigail: I know, right?

Jennifer: I love it.

Abigail: Good.

Jennifer: Thank you. It's beautiful.

Theresa: He's coming this way.

Anne: Oh, what do I say?

Theresa: Improvise.

Daniel: Yeah, could you go over father Brady's blood work again? And keep an eye out for any memory-loss drugs in addition to the poison. Yeah, I'm pretty certain both were used and both were masked.

Anne: [Sighs]

Daniel: Yeah. All right, thank you, donna. I owe you big-time. Yeah.

Anne: Donna? I see you're already on to your next conquest. I mean, really, do you have no shame?

Daniel: I wish I had a baseball bat.

Ciara: Hi.

Rafe: Well, hi.

Hope: Hi.

Rafe: Welcome.

Hope: Oh, do you need a hand with that?

Rafe: No, no, no, no. I got it. I'm good.

Hope: Wow. You're even stronger than you were the other day. And I'm glad. Now I don't feel guilty about giving you some more work.

Rafe: [Laughs] Oh. Well, bring it on.

Hope: Yeah, there's more where that came from. Don't you worry.

Ciara: I like your tree. Did you have a nice Christmas?

Rafe: Oh, I did. I did. I actually got to spend some good time with Gabi and the baby.

Hope: Just the three of you?

Rafe: Yeah.

Hope: Oh, I thought maybe Jordan would stop by.

Rafe: Well, I actually haven't heard from her in a couple days. I think she may be avoiding me.

Maxine: Merry belated Christmas. Gabi Hernandez just dropped this off for you.

Jordan: Oh.

Maxine: I recognize the box. It's from that fancy boutique in the square.

Jordan: Really?

Maxine: Mm-hmm. It's not like Gabi to get you something from there. I'm just saying.

Jordan: No, no, probably not.

Maxine: Well, aren't you gonna open it?

Jordan: No.

Brady: I just got back into town, and I'm running low on supplies. The usual. All right, yeah, yeah, yeah, a half hour. [Sniffs]

[Door closes]

Brady: Maggie. You're, uh--you're back?

Maggie: You don't seem very happy to see me.

Brady: Oh, no, no, no. There's--uh, well, I just-- the suitcase and the-- are you two back together?

Victor: Don't you love Christmas? I got the best present of all. Maggie's back, and for good.

Maggie: Hmm, now, don't get too cocky. [Chuckles stiffly] You're still on probation.

Victor: Oh, that's right. Yeah. We have to make sure it's for good, which means you and I have to be on our best behavior.

Anne: Are you threatening me?

Daniel: Do you ever get sick and tired of being you? I know I get sick and tired of you being you.

Anne: [Chuckles] That's-- you're one to talk. Hey, how many--how many other co-workers do you intend to bed exactly? I mean, I hope you'll at least use protection. I heard that on one of your skanky romps, you produced a daughter you didn't even know about.

Daniel: Okay, you need to be very, very careful.

Anne: Really? How many other illegitimate children do you have out there?

Daniel: You smug little--

Theresa: Stop it, Anne, right now. This man saved my life.

Abigail: Okay, so I'm gonna help you get ready, and I think that you should probably wear my black heels with this, because they would look amazing.

Jennifer: [Gasps] Yes.

Abigail: Oh, oh, wait. How tall is he? Actually, I don't think it really matters, because he sounds like the guy that is not concerned with how tall you are or he is, because I talked to aunt Adrienne, and she said that he's--

Jennifer: Wait a minute. You talked to Adrienne about my date?

Abigail: Yeah, well, of course I did. So how tall is he?

Jennifer: Oh, Adrienne didn't have his personal statistics on file?

Abigail: Ha ha ha, mother.

Jennifer: [Laughs]

Abigail: So you know what? Whatever. Tall or short, I think he is the luckiest guy in the world to get to go on a date with you. But I will expect you home by 11:00, because just like you always told me, there's nothing that you can do...

Both: After 11:00 that you can't do before 11:00.

Jennifer: Thank you. Yes, I will make sure. Hey! I expected you back earlier.

JJ: I went straight up and took a shower.

Jennifer: Oh, good. I just wanted to thank you so much for helping aunt Maggie. That was really sweet. So I made you a really big breakfast, but your sister ate your share of the bacon...

Abigail: Sorry.

Jennifer: And I don't have time to make you any more because I'm late. Can I give you that to hold, honey?

Abigail: Yes, absolutely. Isn't is pretty?

Jennifer: Oh, darn, my keys.

Abigail: Wait. You know what, Mom? Now that I'm thinking about it, maybe you should wear the black boots with this. That would--

Jennifer: Honey, I am your mom, not your Barbie doll. Thank you. I love you. Bye.

JJ: What the hell is wrong with you?

Brady: I am very happy for you two. Everyone who knows you wants you to be together... even though you know you don't deserve her, right?

Victor: Everybody always takes her side. Sorry. I've got a board meeting at the hospital.

Maggie: [Chuckles] Okay.

Victor: Should I pick up anything on the way back-- flowers, diamonds, preferred stocks, anything?

Maggie: You know what I want.

Victor: [Chuckles]

Brady: What do you want?

Maggie: Well, his apology was sincere, but he's not home free. There were certain conditions, and, um... [Clears throat] He's having a hard time swallowing them.

Brady: Mm-hmm. What conditions?

Maggie: There were just two. He had to apologize to Eric in person, and he still has to apologize to Marlena.

Brady: He hasn't done that yet?

Maggie: Well, there hasn't been time.

Brady: Okay. Forget it. I'm-- none of my business. I'm not gonna say anything.

Maggie: Brady...

Brady: [Clears throat] Yeah?

Maggie: What do you mean?

Brady: Mm.

Maggie: What is it?

Brady: Maggie, I know you love him. He loves you, but he's still Victor Kiriakis, okay? There's a big difference between him saying he's gonna do something and actually doing it.

Maggie: You think he's gonna back out?

Brady: You're back. You're in the house again. It's what he wanted. So he knows he doesn't have to apologize to her anymore.

Maggie: What?

Brady: Maggie, is moving back in here really the best thing for you?

Maxine: Honey, considering where that box came from, there must be something very special inside.

Jordan: Which means it's completely inappropriate. Even though Rafe is no longer my patient, it's still not right for him to get me something so expensive.

Maxine: And here I thought you had loosened up a little bit--and that was totally out of line to say. I'm really sorry, really.

Jordan: Maxine, even though I may seem a little not loose, it doesn't bother me when people say what they think. I kind of like it.

Maxine: Well, then you must love me, 'cause I got a big mouth, and I shoot it off all the time.

Jordan: I can imagine to someone as open and easygoing as you that I can seem pretty uptight.

Maxine: it's not my place to judge.

Jordan: You're not. And I know you're trying to help. It's just--this thing with Rafe, it's, uh...

Maxine: Complicated?

Jordan: Very complicated.

Ciara: So those exercises you taught me really helped.

Rafe: Oh, yeah?

Ciara: Yeah, I can finally, finally skate backwards.

Rafe: What?

Ciara: My whole class was like, "wow, look at her!" Even that mean molly Owens.

Rafe: Oh, yeah? Well, good for you, kid. I like that.

Ciara: Now I'm not scared about my recital. Hey, we just picked out a new costume. You want to see it?

Rafe: Yeah, I sure would.

Ciara: Okay.

Hope: [Laughs]

Ciara: I'll be right back.

Rafe: Well, okay.

Hope: She's so excited.

Rafe: Oh, my God, she is such a good kid.

Hope: I know. I-I mean, I know.

Rafe: Yeah.

Hope: Thank you. She is my child.

Rafe: I'm not just saying that.

Hope: Rafe, listen... you know, being able to skate backward was incredibly important to her, and...

Rafe: Yeah.

Hope: You got her past it. So thank you. And it made Christmas a whole lot better, for sure.

Rafe: Yeah. Well, it still must've been tough without Bo.

Hope: She had a hard time with it, yes.

Theresa: It's not fair of you to talk to him like that.

Anne: You know what, young lady? You have become a big disappointment.

Theresa: I can't stand it when she talks to you that way.

Daniel: Okay, you do know, don't you, that I can handle her? In fact, I think it's best all around that you just really stay out of it, okay?

Theresa: Dr. Jonas... I-I didn't think that you couldn't handle her. I just--I don't know. I feel so--I feel like she's shoving me around when she talks to you like that, and she's just mad because I didn't lie about you at the ethics hearing. She just--she frustrates me so much, and I know she wants to get me fired, and I think I just made it worse.

Daniel: Okay, well, she cannot fire you.

Theresa: Really?

Daniel: Really.

Theresa: I just--[Sighs] This whole thing stresses me out so much, and I really-- I just--I feel like I need to talk about it, and I know you're super busy, but you're kind of my only friend.

Abigail: Is this about the bacon?

JJ: This is about something way more important than bacon.

Abigail: JJ, I know you. Nothing is more important to you than bacon.

JJ: It's about what you said to mom.

Abigail: So it's not about the bacon?

JJ: Don't.

Abigail: What did I say?

Jennifer: Oh, Maggie left her tote bag. I wonder if she needs it.

JJ: I'll take it over to her.

Jennifer: Oh, honey, that would be so great. Thank you.

JJ: Boy, aren't Maggie and Victor funny together? It's--it's great that they were able to get back together. Even when they were still mad at each other, they never gave up.

Jennifer: Yeah. It's nice that their story had a happy ending. Okay, I'm off. I love you guys.

Abigail: Bye.

Jennifer: Bye.

Abigail: Who are you? "Even--even though they were so mad at each other, they never gave up"? Oh, my God, baba, JJ. Cue the violin music.

JJ: I was trying to make a point, trying to undo what you did.

Abigail: Okay, again, what did I do?

JJ: You made it sound like it was okay for mom to go out with that jerk.

Maggie: Brady, I know you're looking out for me, but one, I know Victor will apologize to Marlena because he wants to. And two... if I find out that this is an act, I'm out of here permanently, and he knows that.

Brady: Okay. All right, I hope I'm wrong, Maggie. I've been wrong before. But I--look, I got to go. I have things to do. Good seeing you.

Maggie: All right. Brady? Brady? Hold on a minute.

Brady: Okay, I can hold on one minute.

[Both chuckle]

Brady: Yeah.

Maggie: Victor said that you went to some beach resort for Christmas.

Brady: Mm-hmm.

Maggie: And I have to admit, I was really worried about you. A-are you all right?

Maxine: Okay, here goes that big mouth again. It's been my experience that when someone says it's complicated, it's because they're scared.

Jordan: I'm not scared of Rafe.

Maxine: Well, I didn't say that. But maybe you're scared of what Rafe feels for you. Maybe you're scared that what feels is gratitude, he's telling himself it's something else. And maybe you don't know exactly how you feel about Rafe, but... oh, my God. That man is good-looking.

Jordan: [Laughs] Yes, that--yes, that he is.

Maxine: Mm-hmm. Well, no matter what--I mean, if it's all too scary and if you don't feel about him the way he feels about you, you need to let him know one way or another.

Jordan: [Sighs] Maxine...

Maxine: Hmm?

Jordan: You do have a big mouth.

Maxine: [Chuckles]

Jordan: What? Friends can't tell each other the truth? [Sighs]

Hope: And now that Bo is completely out of contact, I'm just--I'm--

Rafe: Tell me.

Hope: Ciara. She seems okay. I just wonder--I mean, is she okay? Is she really okay? Or is she suppressing her feelings? Is she covering them up? And when she acts out, I don't know whether to hug her or kiss her, yell at her. I-- what she's going through, it's just so unfair, and it really just--

Rafe: Ticks you off... because now you have to deal with it. You have to bear that whole load. That's not fair.

Hope: I'm a cop. And I can look into my soul and know the lengths I would go to bring down DiMera. But I would never do this to her, not my daughter, no way.

Rafe: Have you told Bo that? Hope?

Hope: No. [Sighs] Nope, nope, nope. And a part of me just does not want to really, um... not to engage with him right now. He's there, and we're here. And a part of me really doesn't really doesn't know how I feel about any of it.

Abigail: Okay, JJ, how about you put this on your to-do list, okay? Grow up. You cannot freak out every time mom has a date, okay?

JJ: I'm not freaking out 'cause mom has a date. It's because she has a date when she is still in love with Daniel.

Abigail: What did you just say?

JJ: You heard me, and you know I'm right.

Abigail: Whoa, whoa, whoa. You who did anything that you could to screw up things with mom and Daniel, now you want them to get back together?

Daniel: Uh... yeah, I suppose I got a couple minutes, yeah.

Theresa: Oh, Dr. Jonas, thank you so much.

Victor: There you are.

Daniel: Yeah. What-- ah, Victor, this is Theresa Donovan.

Victor: Hello.

Daniel: Theresa Donovan, this is my godfather.

Theresa: Mr. Kiriakis. I saw you at the Horton house on Christmas day.

Victor: And didn't you look lovely. Theresa, would you mind giving me a moment with the good doctor? I only have a few minutes before the board meeting.

Theresa: Oh, yeah. Sure. No problem.

Victor: Well, that's her, huh?

Daniel: Don't go there.

Victor: I wouldn't dream of it. Listen, the way Jennifer treated you, you could go after anybody you want.

Daniel: And don't start in on Jennifer either.

Victor: Would you stop being so growly? I'm coming in peace. Actually, I came to thank you. Maggie moved back into the house this morning, and it's all because you convinced me that I was wrong and I needed to apologize.

Daniel: Victor, being wrong and needing to apologize is your default mode.

Victor: Try to do the right thing, and I get mocked for it.

Daniel: It must be hell being a sensitive dude like you.

Victor: I am sensitive. Do you want to hear me say something sensitive?

Daniel: Ah, here we go. Hit me.

Victor: All right. Well, I got what I wanted, and I always like that. But I was worried about Brady. But now that Maggie's moved back into the house, I think he's thrilled.

Brady: You do not have to worry about me, okay? It just that Christmas this year is a little overwhelming. A lot of people out there-- I know they care about me, but they all know what happened as well, and I just-- I want to steer clear of it, you know, keep my head clear too.

Maggie: I see... but it's just that Victor said that you had been on leave from work for over a month now.

Brady: I've used work as an escape in the past. I don't want to do that this time. I really want to face everything head-on.

Maggie: Okay. Again, I get it. It's just when you change your routine in such a huge way on top of dealing with what Kristen did to you...

Brady: What she did to a lot of people, actually.

Maggie: Yeah, but we're talking about you. See, change like that, it's just--it's a bad recipe for people like us--addicts.

Brady: No, no, no.

Maggie: Oh, come on. Brady, now listen.

Brady: Maggie, stop.

Maggie: Oh, no, no, no. Come on, now. Victor may not see the danger signs. I'm a recovering addict. I'm your sponsor. I can see them clearly.

Brady: What are you trying to say? It's rough, going through Christmas like that?

Hope: Hey.

Ciara: Do you like it, Rafe?

Rafe: Oh, my--would you look at that? There's just one thing missing.

Ciara: What?

Rafe: The gold medal hanging from your neck.

Ciara: I'm not going to win the gold medal.

Rafe: Hold on a second. A few days ago, you didn't think you were ever even gonna skate backwards.

Ciara: Rafe?

Rafe: Yes?

Ciara: Would you come to my recital?

Rafe: Like you even had to ask? Are you serious?

[Knock at door]

Rafe: Ah.

Hope: Do you want me to--

Rafe: No, no. My place, I open the door.

Hope: Okay. Go slowly.

Rafe: Okay. Hey.

Jordan: You and I need to get something straight. I just got this--

Hope: [Clears throat]

Jordan: Oh.

Hope: Hi. Um, sweetheart, we are late for your ice-skating lesson. Let's go. Time to work on that gold medal. I see you on the podium.

Rafe: Okay, hey. Happy skating.

Ciara: Bye, Rafe.

Rafe: Bye.

Hope: It was so good to see you. Bye. Okay, let's go, sweetheart.

Rafe: Good to see that Christmas hasn't mellowed you out.

Jordan: I'm sorry about just now. I didn't know you had company.

Rafe: So did you have a good Christmas? 'Cause I myself did. I got to spend the day with Gabi and the baby. Did you get my message that I said you should drop by.

Jordan: Yeah.

Rafe: Yeah. Well, you were probably too busy being right and appropriate, so...

Jordan: I was keeping my patients company at the hospital.

Rafe: Oh, yeah. Oh, right. So, when you didn't come over, I asked Gabi to take that over to you.

Jordan: Well, that's actually why I'm here. Rafe, I know this store is very expensive.

Rafe: Yeah, but you haven't even opened it yet, so you don't know what it is.

Jordan: And I'm not going to open it, because you have to take it back. This isn't appropriate.

Rafe: Well, I've really come to hate that word.

Jordan: So I really appreciate the gesture, but I can't accept something--

Rafe: You don't even know what it is. All right, you just need to stop talking and open the damn present.

Jordan: Excuse me?

Abigail: Okay, let me get this straight. So, when Daniel was showing up with flowers and he was trying to help mom deal with how screwed up you were, you hated him. But now that he has had a sleazy affair with Theresa Donovan, now he's Mr. Right?

JJ: Mom and Daniel broke up because of me. And that's not right. If he was with Theresa, it was my fault.

Abigail: Okay, look, JJ, yes, you were a real jerk, but--and I'm glad that you're sorry about it. But Daniel being with Theresa has nothing to do with you, okay? We should just be grateful that mom found out who Daniel really was before they, like, you know, got married or something awful like that.

JJ: You don't even know.

Abigail: What I know, JJ, is that Daniel hooked up with that skank. And he knew how much that it would really hurt mom. It wasn't only sleazy, it was petty.

JJ: Abigail, can I ask you something... about something you probably don't want to talk about?

Anne: What are you doing here? You should be in Jonas's office, pouring your heart out to him.

Theresa: Yeah, I was so close. Daniel said that he would make time to talk to me, and just then his godfather walks in, and he's all, "oh, I'm important, and I have a board meeting."

Anne: [Chuckles]

Theresa: Yeah, so Daniel said that he would talk to me later. I mean, that guy acted like he ran the place, like he owned it.

Anne: Yeah, well, maybe because he does own the place. He is not just a board member, Theresa. He's a major donor.

Theresa: Really?

Anne: Yeah.

Theresa: So he's got money?

Anne: Money? That guy's a multi-multimillionaire.

Theresa: Hmm. For some reason, my parents never liked him. How can you not like multimillionaires?

Anne: People can be illogical. You know, I turn the charm on when he's around, you know, just in case he wants to toss me a few bills when he finally croaks, you know.

Theresa: [Laughs] Oh, my God. Daniel must be in his will. He's gonna inherit major bucks when that old geezer kicks. I mean, he's older than God, so it could be any minute now. I already thought Daniel was dreamy.

Anne: Hey. You're going after Dr. Dud to make Jennifer Horton miserable, okay? Not to snag some rich doctor.

Theresa: Come on, you should know by now how good I am at multitasking. And now it's time to be really, really genuine.

Anne: Well, talk about playing against type.

[Door closes]

Daniel: Okay. All right.

Theresa: Hi. I was wondering if you still had some time to talk.

Daniel: Uh... eeh, I was just about to go off shift, so...

Theresa: Oh, sure.

Daniel: Yeah, some other time?

Theresa: Yeah. No problem.

Daniel: Okay.

Theresa: So whatever works for you--anytime, anyplace.

Daniel: Sure. Yeah. Yeah.

Maggie: Brady, I'm not asking you for anything. And I'm not saying that you fell off the wagon. It's just when I ask you to take Theresa to an A.A. Meeting, you said that you were busy with work. But if you've been taking time off--

Brady: No, no, no, no. Maggie, just because I'm not at work, it doesn't mean I'm not working. I am the CEO of titan, okay? I-I have to put out fires once in a while, but it's not like I'm vacation all the time, you know?

Maggie: Well, I mean, it's all right. I got her to a meeting. Actually, I brought the meeting to her. You know, sometimes people just need an extra push.

Brady: Right. [Sniffs]

Maggie: Well, you know what? With the craziness in my life lately, I think maybe I need to go to a meeting myself, and there's one starting soon. Why don't we go together?

Brady: No!

Maggie: Why not?

Jordan: I cannot believe that you just told me to shut up.

Rafe: No, I told you to stop talking and open the damn present.

Jordan: I don't like direct orders.

Rafe: Well, no, of course you don't because your job is giving orders all day, but maybe you can just listen to me for once, all right? And then after you open the gift, you can talk all you want.

Jordan: See, you think I'm going to be so bowled over by it, that I'll keep it, no matter that I know it's wrong, but it is wrong. I can't have you spending money on me like that.

Rafe: You're still talking.

Jordan: Okay. All right. I'm gonna open it, all right?

Rafe: Good.

Jordan: [Scoffs] Oh, wow. Look, it's, uh...

Rafe: I had to take out a loan and sell everything I had, but I think it was worth it.

Jordan: [Scoffs]

Theresa: Hey. I just wanted to thank you again for letting me come to the Horton family Christmas. It was super nice of you.

Jennifer: Well, it was Christmas. You're more than welcome. It's once a year... as long as you stay away from my son the other 364 days.

Theresa: By the way, I know you saw me talking to Daniel just now, and I just wanted to let you know that, really, we are just good friends. I don't want you to get the wrong idea.

Jennifer: Okay, you just continually want to keep telling me that you and Daniel are just friends, but you should understand--I don't care if you are friends with him or not.

Theresa: [Chuckles] Yeah, right. It's killing you. Now it's time to add to your pain.

JJ: When I was gone, you screwed up big-time. You lied about Austin sleeping with you.

Abigail: You're right. And I really don't want to talk about that. It was not my finest hour.

JJ: Well, I don't want to talk about that. I don't want to talk about lying. I just want to know how you got the courage to come clean with everything.

Abigail: To be honest, JJ, I don't think that I ever really got the courage to come clean. What really happened is I saw mom and dad attacking Austin for taking advantage of their little girl, and I just-- I couldn't take it, you know. I just--I just blurted out the truth. And... mom and dad were, uh... you know, they were mom and dad, of course. They were not thrilled with me, but... they still loved me. And, you know, in this really weird way, it actually brought closer.

JJ: So it all just kind of worked out in the end.

Abigail: Maybe. Maybe I didn't do permanent damage, but... but I still put really good people through hell. I wish I never lied, and I hate myself for waiting so long to come clean and tell the truth.

JJ: But you did.

Abigail: Yeah, I did. Now, my question to you is, why are you asking about all that?

Brady: I'm sorry. That came out much too loud. And... I'm jet-lagged. Maggie, I'm wiped out. I'm just--I'm just tired. I'm sorry.

Maggie: Brady, you are going to meetings.

Brady: No, I'm not. Actually, no, I don't need them. I've been fine. I've been really good. I have you here. You're back. So you're all I need, really. [Chuckles]

Maggie: Brady, you know how important meetings are.

Brady: I do, and I will go, if I--if I need one, I promise. But right now I got to get ready for my interview with Nico.

Maggie: Oh.

Brady: But, uh, I'm glad you're back.

Maggie: Okay.

Brady: Really. [Sniffs] And know this-- my grandfather does not deserve you... but you mean everything to him. Smile.

Maggie: [Chuckles]

Jordan: I take it this isn't from the boutique.

Rafe: No, I just thought it'd be funny to put it in that box.

Jordan: You mean you thought you'd push my buttons?

Rafe: Buttons? W-what buttons?

Jordan: Oh, you jerk.

Rafe: [Laughs] Okay. Stop. I thought that you would freak out a little bit, but I certainly thought you would open it. I mean, God. I'm sorry.

Jordan: No. I'm--I'm sorry. This is very sweet.

Rafe: Coach. Well, I missed seeing you over Christmas.

Jordan: Well, I wanted to come by, but like I said before, I didn't want to intrude on your time with your family.

Rafe: Like I said, you wouldn't have, you know. I was waiting all night to make good use of that.

Jordan: How did you get that up there? It's dangerous for you to stand on--

Rafe: Calm down, okay? I had my sister do it. All right?

Jordan: Oh.

Rafe: Yeah.

Jordan: Good. Well, it's too bad that Christmas is over.

Rafe: Yeah. I don't think there's an expiration date on that sort of thing. Oh... what the hell?

JJ: The reason I asked about all that is, well--

[Cell phone rings]

Abigail: Oh, wait.

JJ: You see...

Abigail: Sorry, this is Theo. Just one second. Hi, honey. [Chuckles] No, no. I-I haven't forgotten. It just has to snow first before we can go sledding. JJ, he's really upset. So I need to talk to him. Just one second, okay? Okay, Theo, hold on.

Theresa: So you keep your mouth shut if you know what's good for you and your mom and Dr. Dan.

Abigail: I'm gonna have to go see Theo. He is really upset. Apparently, he doesn't understand the concept that it has to snow first before he can go sledding.

JJ: Sure. Yeah, go ahead.

Abigail: But I'd really like to finish this first. Why are you asking about all that stuff?

JJ: I guess I was just looking for confirmation that mom is the forgiving type and she won't hold all the things I did against me.

Abigail: Oh, JJ. Yeah, of course. You can count on it.

JJ: But maybe she could forgive Daniel if it would make her happy.

Abigail: [Chuckles] No, no, no. No, don't hold your breath. Mom is never forgiving Daniel, like, ever. Bye, bro.

JJ: Bye.

Hope: Hey, cuz.

Jennifer: Hey.

Hope: Guess what. Ciara's at her skating class. How about lunch?

Jennifer: No, you don't want to have lunch with me right now, 'cause I am so cranky, and I am not fun right now.

Hope: Well, I thought I wanted to have lunch with you.

Jennifer: Oh, hi.

Liam: Hey.

Hope: Hey.

Liam: Hi.

Jennifer: Oh, Liam, I'm sorry. This is my cousin hope. Hope, this is Liam.

Liam: Nice to meet you.

Hope: So nice to meet you.

Liam: You too. Uh, we still on for tonight?

Jennifer: Yes, I'm looking forward to it.

Liam: Okay, how about I pick you up about 7:30?

Jennifer: Great.

[Cell phone rings]

Liam: I'm sorry. Oh, now I'm really sorry. Uh, there's a certain doctor I've been trying to set up a meeting with, and now he's saying he wants to meet tonight. Um, give me a second. Let me see if he'll reschedule, okay?

Jennifer: Yeah, that's great. You know what? Don't even worry about it. It is no problem at all. It-- what?

Hope: I'm just trying to figure out whether you're disappointed or relieved.

Brady: Hey.

You're late.

Brady: Yeah, I know. The situation at the house has become a little more difficult. You got what I need? Ahh. Having triplets is such a blessing.

[Cell phone ringing]

Rafe: No, you don't need to answer that. It's not important.

Jordan: I have to.

Rafe: No, no.

Jordan: Hold on, hold on. Let me just look. Let me just-- it's a patient.

Rafe: Yeah, and that patient--

Jordan: I have to go.

Rafe: No, no, no, no. This patient is obviously way too dependent, and I think it's to his or her advantage that you stay here with me.

Jordan: It is to your advantage, and you are no longer my patient.

Rafe: Yes, that is true. Now I am your friend. And I'm so glad you came by so we could clear that up. Listen, anytime you want to come back, we can talk about anything.

Jordan: Like what-- my case history?

Rafe: Whatever-- the bears, what you do with your leftover turkey... how pretty your eyes are.

Jordan: I'm sorry.

Rafe: Hey. I'm not gonna push, all right? I mean, maybe a little, but I'm just saying, you know, I'm here if you want to talk. You don't have to keep anything from me.

Jordan: I know that. And thank you for this.

Rafe: Yeah. Look at that, huh?

Jordan: It really is perfect.

Rafe: Coach.

Jordan: [Chuckles] Okay.

Rafe: Okay. Well, uh, just so you know... the mistletoe is gonna be up for a while... a long while.

Jordan: [Chuckles]

Rafe: [Sighs] Wow.

Jennifer: I just--I have mixed feelings about this whole date thing. I'm not sure I'm ready to get back out there.

Hope: Okay, all right. I get that, but I mean, Liam does seem awfully nice, not to mention extremely handsome. At the very least, you can be friends, cuz.

Jennifer: You know what? Some people just don't grasp the idea of just friends.

Hope: What language do you speak, cousin?

Jennifer: I don't know. I don't know what I'm talking about right now.

Liam: Good news-- the doctor's willing to reschedule, so we're definitely on for tonight.

Jennifer: Great.

Liam: Yeah, I'm really glad everything worked out.

Jennifer: Yeah, me too.

JJ: I got to make things right for mom and Daniel.

[Doorbell rings]

JJ: What the hell do you want now?

Theresa: Good news, junior-- I've come to set you free.

You know, if you're interested, I got something with a little more kick to it.

Brady: No, I'm good.

Well, you have my number.

Daniel: Brady!

Brady: Hey, man.

Daniel: Hey, man. What are you--what were you just doing back there?

Brady: Nothing, nothing. I'm just out-- you know, nice day, getting some fresh air.

Daniel: Fresh air? Yeah? Bull.

Brady: What?

Daniel: Don't lie to me. I just saw you.
