Episode #12234 ~ Daniel is appalled to hear about Nicole's lie; Gabi is horrified to learn Sonny knows the truth.

Provided By Suzanne

Eric: You've moved on? With whom?

Nicole: Daniel. I know it's our second time around, but when you have a-a connection like we do, it's only a matter of time before we were... hopelessly drawn to each other. And just like the first time, it felt right.

Right.

Eric: Well, that was quick.

Daniel: So, how's the, uh-- how's the patient?

Sonny: Dad, I don't know if you got my message, but it's really important. I need to talk to you. It's kind of an emergency, s-- oh, hey, hope.

Hope: Hey.

Sonny: Uh, didn't see you there.

Hope: Uh, I'm sorry. I couldn't help overhearing your conversation. Is everything all right? Is something wrong?

Gabi: Both of you have been very supportive and everything, but I'm just--I'm scared to death that someone is going to figure out what the three of us did, okay? That we murdered Nick.

Sonny: Uh, no, it's nothing to worry about.

Ciara: Allie, can you keep a secret? That's what you said last time, and then you blabbed.

Allie: I was three then. You can trust me.

Ciara: Promise? Look what I got...

Allie: [Gasps]

Ciara: From a boy.

Sami: If you or any member of the staff finds this earring, I just really would appreciate it if you brought it to me directly.

Harold: Yes, miss Brady.

Sami: Thank you. I just would hate for EJ to think that I was so careless as to misplace something so valuable.

Harold: Indeed, ma'am.

EJ: There you are. You and I need to talk, Samantha.

Sami: I don't think we should rehash everything that went on.

EJ: You know, it appears that you haven't just been negligent and stubborn when it comes to a relationship with me. Evidently, you've been ignoring important responsibilities at work... which is not like you. It's very out of character, in fact... as is your silence right now.

Abigail: Ooh, ho, ho, ho.

Will: Oh, merry Christmas.

Abigail: Hi. Well, JJ and I baked about 20 dozen cookies, and I had to get rid of them. Otherwise, I was going to eat every single one.

Will: Wow, you--you've come to the right place.

Abigail: Trade you?

Will: Oh, yeah, sure. Now I know who you're really here to see.

Abigail: Oh, hello!

Will: Hello!

Abigail: Oh, hi. Arianna, are you so excited for your first Christmas? Yes? Oh, my gosh, I bet somebody's going to get spoiled.

Will: Yeah, me.

Abigail: Mm-hmm. Oh--[Laughs]

Gabi: Hi. Hi. I don't know if I'm in the right place. I'm here to see Rafe.

Sami: But it's not true.

EJ: Oh, finally. She speaks.

Sami: I am not neglecting my work.

EJ: Really? Tell me, when was the last time you graced the staff with your presence?

Sami: Well, it's the holidays, okay? Things are slow.

EJ: Hmm, yet you don't seem to have time to sign a contract or return a telephone call.

Sami: I'm working on delegating.

EJ: Delegating. I see.

Sami: Yeah, you're the one who told me I need to do that more, right? Focus on the big picture.

EJ: That's not what you do.

Sami: What's not?

EJ: Delegate, Samantha. You don't delegate. That's not in your nature. You're downright obsessive when it comes to work. You do everything yourself. You take on more than you can handle, and yet somehow, to be fair, you get it done.

Sami: I'm working at letting it go a little.

EJ: Mm-hmm. No. You're dissembling even more expertly. That's what you're doing.

Sami: I think you are the one who is dissembling.

EJ: Really? How so?

Sami: I don't think this is really a conversation about how I am not my usual workaholic self, EJ. I think this is a conversation about sex.

EJ: Sex?

Sami: You and I both know that you would never have brought this up if you were still sleeping in my bed.

EJ: Wow. Well, what can I say? Your--your powers of perception never fail to astonish me.

Sami: I think I nailed it.

EJ: Okay. Let's say you're right. I'm not above taking a bribe.

Sami: A bribe?

EJ: Mm-hmm. I will stop asking you questions about this subject, which seems to make you incredibly uncomfortable... if you'll have me back in your bed.

Allie: It's beautiful. Where's the other one?

Ciara: It's so special, it's one of a kind. Like me.

Sonny: So do you think my dad's gonna be in court all day?

Hope: Well, based on the way things were going when I testified, my guess is yes.

Sonny: I know I'm not a lawyer, but if you're looking for legal advice, is there something I could help you with?

Gabi: When I hit him with the rock, yes, I was defending myself. But after that, when we pushed his body into the water, that wasn't self-defense. That was murder.

Rafe: Hey, everything okay out here? Oh.

Gabi: I, um, I am so sorry. Um, I'm sorry.

Peter: I'll find a broom.

Gabi: No, it's okay. I will--I will take care of this.

Rafe: Pete Clarke, meet my sister, Gabi. He's my new physical therapist.

Gabi: Nice to meet you.

Pete: Likewise. Equipment's all set up. Anything else?

Rafe: Uh, no. I think I'm good, man. Thanks a lot. Got that?

Gabi: [Sighs] I'm so sorry.

Rafe: Well, leave that. Leave it.

Gabi: Why?

Rafe: Why? Because I saw the look on your face. It's about Nick, isn't it?

Daniel: Well, you seem to be tolerating the drug pretty well. Are you experiencing any more pain or dizziness? Uh, Eric, what--what's, uh-- what's going on between you two?

Eric: Between us?

Daniel: Well, ye--

[Cell phone rings]

Daniel: Okay, hold on a second. Um, okay, this is a patient. I need to get this. I'll be right back.

[Door closes]

Nicole: Well, that was, um, kind of awkward, wasn't it?

Eric: When did this thing happen between you and Daniel?

Nicole: Well, when you accused me of-- Daniel's the only one who believed me. And when I needed a roof over my head, he--he let me in. Even when he was going through all that stuff with Theresa, you know we were there for each other, and--and just all those feelings that we used to have for each other, they just started coming back.

Eric: Yeah, well, what about all your problems before?

Nicole: What? You think I'm gonna pull another crazy stunt and ruin Daniel's life again?

Eric: No. I'm worried about you.

Sami: I am not bribing you, EJ. Just for the record, you are still not welcome in my bed.

EJ: Are you saving yourself so you can be some sort of special Christmas present for me? Am I warm?

Sami: [Laughs] You are cold. Ice cold.

EJ: I see. Actually, I'm okay with that, because, to be totally candid with you, I was rather hoping for a Christmas trip to Tahiti.

Sami: Solo, one-way?

EJ: For the record, you know, Samantha... it is my bed you're sleeping in, not yours.

Sami: Oh, I see. Your bed, your house, your business. You're gonna lord it over me now, forever?

EJ: You expect me to just sit here passively as you sit there, equally passive? It's not who I am. It's not who you are. Something's wrong.

Sami: You know what is wrong.

EJ: Besides us. Why won't you just tell me the truth?

Sami: When will you tell me the truth about Kristen? That's what I thought. I have to go.

EJ: Wait a second. Where are you going?

Will: Wow, a little light reading, huh?

Abigail: Um, well, I'm working with my mom and--and also taking 18 credits, so I feel like I'm always behind.

Will: Yeah, I know the feeling.

Abigail: Right, I bet you do. Of course, trying to start off your writing career and taking care of little Ari here. I don't know how you do it.

[Arianna cries]

Abigail: Oh, no, where'd it go?

Will: Well, it's not so bad. You know, Sonny and Gabi do a lot of the work, which is awesome. You know, it's great, unless she wakes up four times in a night, like she did last night.

Abigail: Oh, my gosh, the sleep deprivation alone-- I don't know how you guys do it.

Will: Mm, I mean, we get used to it. Yeah.

Abigail: I can't believe it. Look at this. My bratty cousin will is a dad.

Will: [Laughs] "Bratty"? Yeah, I can't believe it either.

Abigail: Aw, I just love holding her so much.

[Arianna cries]

Abigail: Oh! What? But you know what I love even more? I love that I can hand her right back to you whenever I want.

Will: [Laughs]

Abigail: I'm so not ready.

Will: Well, I mean, you know how to change a diaper.

[Arianna cries]

Will: Oh!

Abigail: What is it?

Will: Is what? Is what?

Abigail: [Laughs]

Will: That's more than I could say at the time, for sure. You know, last Christmas, I couldn't even imagine things would be this great.

Abigail: Because of Nick? I know that guy's been through hell, but honestly, there's no excuse for the way that he t treated you. If someone treated Nick that way, I would say the same thing.

Will: [Sighs]

Gabi: What about Nick?

Rafe: Oh, come on, Gabi. I'm your brother. Listen, I know you better than anyone. You think I don't know what's going on?

Gabi: Well, how di--

Rafe: The resemblance is uncanny... between Pete and Nick.

Gabi: Oh.

Rafe: Yeah. Obviously, that was weird for you. I get it. But you know Nick's gone. He is not coming back, not ever.

Sonny: Thank you, but, uh, I don't think there's anything you can do to help me in this situation.

Hope: But everything's all right? Ari's doing well?

Sonny: Ari is great. Yeah, she fusses a little during the night. Will thinks she's teething.

Hope: Mm-hmm.

Sonny: But he's been saying that for, like, three months, and there's not one tooth.

Hope: Oh, boy, I remember those days. Life goes by so fast. You know what, before you know it, she's gonna be two. And then she's gonna be ten, and pretty soon, you're going to be telling her, "no, we will not be changing your weekend bedtime to midnight."

Sonny: Midnight. She's a night owl.

Hope: Oh, my gosh. Seriously, she hates going to sleep lately. It's always, "mommy, please can I stay up just ten more minutes? I want to read my book." And then 10 minutes turns into 20 minutes, and-- you get the picture.

Sonny: Mm-hmm.

Hope: Yeah. She's really giving me a run for my money these days. About a lot of things. Definitely my daughter. I don't want to come down too hard on her. I know how much she misses her dad.

Sonny: Any idea when Bo will be home?

Hope: Oh, gosh, I don't know. Let's see, hmm. Oh, thought that would be months ago. Life's a lot more complicated than we think sometimes. Isn't it?

Sonny: Sure is.

Sami: Hey, Sonny.

Will: Well, um, I think you know Nick a lot better than I do.

Abigail: Do you guys still keep in touch at all? I mean, do you guys ever talk?

Will: No. No, we don't, because-- you know what? I don't want to rag on Nick, because, you know, I take my share of responsibility for what happened. Um, but I'm a different person now.

Abigail: Yeah, you are. Mainly because you weren't a dad then.

Will: That's right. I wasn't a daddy. Now I realize I never could have kept silent and denied that Ari was my little girl. Do you mind? Hello. Hello. Whoo-hoo-hoo!

Abigail: Aww.

Will: [Grunts]

Abigail: You know what's so amazing about this, is that when Sonny talks about your daughter, he is just as crazy about her, you know? It's like--it's like she's just so incredibly important to both of you.

Will: That's 'cause she is. We feel like the two luckiest guys in the world.

Abigail: Well, you are the two luckiest guys in the world.

Will: I know, we are.

Hope: Hi, sweetheart.

Sami: [Laughs] Thank you so much for taking Allie ice skating with you.

Hope: Oh, of course.

Sami: I hope she was good.

Hope: She was the perfect angel. Ciara, on the other hand, uh-- let's just say I hope she didn't get any ideas from her, because she threw a world-class fit.

Sami: Oh, dear. Well, don't worry about it, because Allie has definitely had her fair share of fits. Oh, dear. Look at Sonny's face. I think we're scaring him.

Hope: Well, let's hope I can persuade my daughter to leave without a scene, or you're really gonna be scared.

Sami: [Laughs]

Sonny: That's great. I'm gonna get going.

Sami: What? Oh, no, wait. Sonny, actually-- sorry. There's just something I want to talk to you about.

Nicole: Everyone's going to think what you just did, that Daniel and I are a train wreck waiting to happen.

Eric: No, I didn't say that.

Nicole: And that is why we decided not to tell anyone at all.

Eric: Okay.

Nicole: Because we didn't-- we don't want to hurt Jennifer, and there's Daniel's reputation to think about and this whole thing that happened with Theresa, or what everyone thinks happened with Theresa. And the last thing Daniel needs is people being all scandalized, thinking he's moved on with the likes of me.

Eric: Nicole, I think you're selling yourself a little bit short.

Nicole: Well, I don't.

Eric: And if it's such a big secret, then why are you telling me?

Nicole: I'm not trying to put you in a tough position, okay? You asked me how I felt, and I'm just trying to give you an honest answer. I'm here because I'm your friend, and I want Kristen brought to justice. That's all. I'm not attracted to you in the least bit anymore.

Eric: Yeah, you've said that a few times already.

Nicole: I just don't want there to be any doubt. When you accused me of-- I realized that you just-- you don't know me at all. And I guess--I guess I don't know you. Maybe you did me a favor by being a jerk.

Eric: You're welcome.

Nicole: So we are where we are. And we know each other's motives, so let's just move forward and focus on the truth.

Eric: Truth.

Nicole: Of what Kristen did to you. Look, I know Daniel doesn't really want to discuss this, so can we just change the subject?

Daniel: Whoops. Sorry about that. Uh, Nicole, could--could I have a moment with Eric, please? Alone. 3qyou disgust me.

EJ: The adoration of the magi. By Raphael.

Sami: Um, actually, I just wanted to tell you--well, I know that you and your mom haven't exactly been on the same page when it comes to will.

Sonny: Yeah, not--not even on the same planet.

Sami: [Chuckles] Right. But I ran into her earlier, and we kind of had a nice talk.

Sonny: That's great.

Sami: She even said she was a little bit jealous of how well you and I get along, and she hopes that someday she and will can be close like that. It was sweet.

Sonny: Yeah. It--that's--that is sweet.

Sami: Yeah, you don't seem super happy about it.

Sonny: Oh, no, I'm--I'm very happy about it. It's just, uh, there's something I have to go take care of, so, um--but I'm gonna see you later.

Sami: Okay. Hey, aunt hope, um... is Sonny okay? He seemed like, I don't know, there's something going on with him or something.

Hope: Oh, um, actually, he did mention he needs to talk to his dad about something, but I'm sure everything's fine. Nothing to worry about. Oh, hey, honey, it's time to go. Zip up. Allie, thank you so much for joining us. You did so well, honey, and you are a delight. Always welcome with us.

Sami: [Laughs]

Hope: Bye, honey.

Sami: Aww, thank you.

Ciara: Bye.

Sami: Good to see you.

Hope: Bye.

Sami: Bye, Ciara. You know what? I think we're gonna put your coat on too. Guess where we're going.

Allie: To get ice cream?

Sami: No ice cream. Even better. We're gonna go see baby Arianna.

Allie: Yay!

Sami: Let's do it.

Nicole: Mm. [Chuckles]

Daniel: Did you not hear me? I need to be alone with my patient.

Nicole: Why?

Daniel: Why?

Nicole: Mm-hmm.

Daniel: Well, because, as you reminded me many times, there's this thing called doctor-patient confidentiality.

Nicole: Yeah, but I thought you wanted me to help solve this medical mystery, so if you're gonna keep me in the dark, then it's gonna be really hard for me to help you--

Daniel: Okay, after Eric and I talk, he is free to share with you any information that he chooses. But I need to do an exam, and since that could involve disrobing--

Nicole: All right, okay. Fine, say no more. I'm going.

Daniel: Okay. Bye.

Nicole: [Sighs]

Daniel: Okay.

Eric: [Exhales]

Daniel: Well, your lungs are clear and your heart rate's back to normal.

Eric: I still feel a little groggy.

Daniel: Well, that's to be expected, but you should be feeling more alert in the next few hours, and then you are free to blow out of this torture chamber.

Eric: When will we get the results back?

Daniel: Uh, well, I'm not sure. Maybe in the next few days, I'm hoping. But if we can identify that masking agent, we should be moving pretty quickly from here on out.

Eric: You know, speaking of things moving quickly...

Daniel: What?

Eric: You and Nicole.

Eric: I guess I have been kind of self-involved with everything going on lately.

Daniel: Yeah, understandably. Yeah.

Eric: And I really appreciate the help you two have provided. But it is a bit uncomfortable, isn't it?

Daniel: Well, uh, I mean--

Nicole: Hello!

Daniel: Whoa, doctor-patient confident--

Nicole: Yeah, I know, I know, but we're all adults here, right? And I heard you talking, so I figured you were done. You're done, right?

Daniel: Well, Eric was just expressing some concerns about--

Nicole: I heard, and actually, I think it's better having me at Daniel's, and then we can meet and talk strategy in a private place.

Eric: Well, isn't that a little uncomfortable, to have that conversation in front of parker?

Nicole: No, Chloe has him for the holidays, so it's just us.

Eric: Oh.

Daniel: Nicole, you know what? I think Eric, he needs some rest, and, uh--

Nicole: Oh, okay. Uh, great. Well, I know he does, so we'll just see you later.

Daniel: Yep, we will. Okay, come on.

Nicole: Okay.

[Door closes]

Daniel: Okay, Nicole, do you want to tell me what that was all about?

EJ: No, no, no, no, no. Please, don't stop reading on my account.

Abigail: Well, um, no, I just-- I didn't want you to think that I-- uh--

EJ: Think what?

Abigail: I didn't want you to think that I ran out and got the book just because of you. Well, not because of you, but because of what you said about Raphael's angels.

EJ: That's okay. I didn't. I know exactly why you went to get that book. It's because of your father, not me.

Hope: Early Christmas present.

Rafe: [Laughs] Wow! Wow, thank you so much.

Hope: Oh, you're welcome. Yeah, you're welcome, uh-huh.

Rafe: That's, uh--do you think that I asked Santa for a pile of work?

Ciara: No.

Rafe: No, you're absolutely right. I didn't. But you know what? This is actually one of the best gifts I've ever got.

Ciara: Seriously?

Rafe: Seriously. I know, I'm going crazy. But you know what this means? I am becoming useful again. Hey, you know what? I got some cool books over there if you want to check 'em out.

Ciara: Okay.

Rafe: All right. So what do we got here?

Hope: Uh, couple of b&es, larceny, just enough to keep you busy and out of trouble.

Rafe: Out of trouble? What fun is that? God, what I wouldn't give for a nice, juicy homicide.

Hope: Yeah, well, all in good time, all in good time. Actually, I want to go over a few things with you.

Rafe: Okay.

Hope: Okay, let's take a look.

Gabi: Hey, uh, Ciara. Why don't you come over and see Arianna sometime?

Ciara: I can't. Mom won't take me.

Gabi: Oh, is it because she just doesn't have a lot of time 'cause of work? Well, I'm sure she's gonna have some time off now that it's Christmas time. Hey, um, I gotta go back to check on the baby, okay? But it was so nice to see you. Give me a hug. Hey, don't work too hard. I'm gonna go. I'll check on you later, okay?

Rafe: Okay.

Gabi: Love you.

Rafe: Mm, I love you. Merry Christmas.

Gabi: Merry Christmas.

Hope: Merry Christmas, Gabi. Bye, sweetheart.

Gabi: Bye, merry Christmas. Nice to see you.

Hope: Nice to see you too, beautiful.

Gabi: Bye.

Rafe: Take care of that baby.

Gabi: Oh, I will.

Hope: Rafe, as you can see, this case is purely circumstantial.

Rafe: Mm-hmm.

Hope: So, I mean, if you can just find one shred of evidence, that would be incredibly helpful.

Rafe: Ciara, you okay?

Ciara: No.

Rafe: No? Do you want to talk about it?

Ciara: Okay.

Rafe: Okay.

Will: [Laughing] Hey. Allie cat, what's up?

Allie: Where's my baby?

Sami: Oops, sorry.

Will: Oh, uh, well, she's in her pack 'n play. She's right over there. Getting her cardio in, you know, crawling around.

Sami: Um, hey, uh, will, I, um--

Will: Thanks for coming.

Sami: Yeah, I wanted to ask you--sorry--have you seen an earring that matches that one, a diamond stud? It's really important, and I...

Will: No.

Sami: Don't know where I lost it.

Will: No, sorry. I mean, we're pretty thorough about cleaning, 'cause we don't want anything in Ari's mouth.

Sami: Right, of course.

Will: I don't know if that rock would--would fit. [Laughs] Yeah.

Sami: Yeah, well, I just--

Will: Sorry, I know this probably costs a lot to replace.

Sami: You have no idea.

Allie: Ciara has one. But it's a secret.

Gabi: Sonny! I'm scared to death that someone is gonna figure out what the three of us did, okay? That we murdered Nick. Are you okay?

Abigail: I wanted to try and figure out what my dad was thinking when he gave me the angel wing. But I think, you know, I'm probably trying to read something into it that's, you know, not really there.

EJ: Well, um, you never know. May I?

Abigail: Sure.

EJ: Ah. Hmm. The Sistine Madonna.

Abigail: Hmm.

EJ: Have you seen it?

Abigail: Yes, actually, I have. My parents and I, we went to Dresden a few years ago, but I was way too young to actually appreciate how lucky I was.

EJ: It's very interesting. I mean, obviously, the focus of the painting are the Madonna and the child, but over the centuries, these angels down here have become the superstars.

Abigail: Hmm.

EJ: Why do you suppose that is?

Abigail: I don't know. Do you?

EJ: Um, well... I believe that when a man has a child, he sees the world through different eyes. He is no longer the most important person in his life, and in his children, he sees the image of his better angels.

Abigail: Hmm. Well, if you're right about what my dad was thinking, then, uh, boy, did I prove him wrong.

Nicole: Okay, you know, look. I just didn't get a chance to talk to you because Victor interrupted our conversation, and then I--

Daniel: And... what?

Nicole: I realized that we could really sell this to Eric.

Daniel: Yeah? Sell what?

Nicole: The idea that you and I are a couple. [Clears throat]

Daniel: I'm sorry, what?

Nicole: A couple.

Daniel: A c--w-why would-- why would you want to do that?

Nicole: Because Eric only thinks I'm helping him because I have feelings for him. Look, this isn't gonna work unless I convince him I am completely over him.

Daniel: Oh, which you are.

Nicole: Yes, of course I am.

Daniel: Oh, of course you are.

Nicole: Please, you know the Bradys. God forbid the world stops revolving around them. We don't have time to sit around and wait for Eric to get over himself.

Daniel: Okay, so you want him to think that you've moved on. Right? With me.

Nicole: Yes.

Daniel: No. No.

Nicole: Come on, look w--

Daniel: This is cr--

Nicole: We can trust Eric that he'll keep our secret.

Daniel: Secret? No, it's a lie. This is a lie. No, you know what this is? This is ridiculous.

Nicole: Okay, I told you before you wouldn't like it.

Daniel: Well, yeah, you have a real way with understatement. Nicole, no, no. I am not gonna go along with this. You want me to tell him that you and I--

Nicole: I already told him.

Daniel: What?

Nicole: I'm sorry. I didn't have a chance to run it by you, and it just kind of came up.

Daniel: Just kind of--whoa... [Whistles] Came up?

Nicole: Yes, yes, I-I was put on the spot, and I told him. And now it's already done, so--

Daniel: Yeah, well, you know what? It can be undone in ten words or less, and I'm gonna do it now.

Nicole: Wait, you don't-- you don't want to help me?

Daniel: How many times does a lie have to blow up in your face? About Sydney, about Rafe, about Jennifer. This is another disaster just waiting to happen.

Ciara: Molly Owens skated backwards all the way across the rink, and I fell on my b-- bottom.

Rafe: Hmm.

Ciara: And you know what she did?

Rafe: What did she do?

Ciara: She stuck her tongue out at me.

Rafe: Agh!

Hope: And Ciara stuck out her skate.

Ciara: Who cares if she can skate backwards?

Rafe: Huh. Well, yes, you have a point. It's not exactly a marketable skill, now, is it?

Hope: Exactly, that's exactly what I told her.

Rafe: Okay. I'll tell you what. Soon as I'm back on my feet, I will teach you how to skate.

Ciara: Thanks, but mom tried to teach me before. I just can't do it.

Rafe: Oh. Hmm. Well, you know, when I was in the hospital, a very smart person told me that I was not allowed to say "I can't." True. True story. You know, because I was getting frustrated because I wasn't able to do something. What I needed was to get strong again. And if you learn all the skills that you need, you will be able to skate. What do you say?

Ciara: Awesome.

Rafe: [Laughs] Awesome. Yes.

Sami: But, um, Ciara's isn't like this, right? I mean, it's a fake one, right?

Allie: It looked just like yours, and she only had one.

Sami: Well, thank you for telling me, sweetheart.

Allie: Don't tell her I told you.

Sami: Of course, of course I won't. You know what? We should get going, you know, so that you can put Arianna to bed and--

Will: Wait, wait, wait. I--the thing I wanted to talk to you about, it's only gonna take a--just a minute.

Sami: Oh, right, yeah, no. I'm sorry. Of course. What is it?

Will: Okay, um, I mean, I hate to ruin this for you, mom, but, uh, but I know. I know all about my surprise party.

Sonny: Yeah, I'm good. I'm just in a hurry to get to work.

Gabi: Isn't today your day off?

Sonny: We're slammed because of the holidays.

Gabi: I just walked past club TBD, and there was hardly anybody there. Sonny, why is it that you can hardly wait to get away from me? What did I do now?

Nicole: Okay, this--wait, no, no, wait. You cannot tell Eric that I lied, 'cause then I'll feel like the biggest idiot in the world.

Daniel: No, I am not lying to my friend, who happens to be a priest, about something so inane.

Nicole: [Gasps] You lied about Theresa.

Daniel: Okay, look, that-- that's for a good cause.

Nicole: So is this.

Daniel: No, this is different.

Nicole: How is it different? It's not different.

Daniel: No, it's different, and I'm not doing it. In fact, I'm telling Eric the truth right now.

Nicole: [Sighs]

Daniel: Oh, my gosh.

Nicole: Hmm, looks like you're not telling him anything.

Daniel: Not yet.

Nicole: Not ever.

EJ: You're being very hard on yourself, don't you think?

Abigail: No. I don't. You don't know me very well, EJ.

EJ: Maybe, but, um... I do think all of these things are relative. I mean, look who you're talking to. I'm no angel. You told my brother you couldn't abide a liar. Why do you suppose you felt so strongly about that?

Abigail: Well, I think because-- I think because my dad was a journalist, and he always said that nothing is more important than the truth.

EJ: Abigail, I think Jack Deveraux would be very proud of his little girl. Actually, let me rephrase that. Your father would be very proud of the young lady you've become. Now... you enjoy your book. Okay?

Abigail: EJ, um... thank you. I-I feel like I'm getting, uh, this message from my father that I wouldn't have had you not taken the time to say what you said. Thank you.

EJ: Any time.

Rafe: Two...

Hope: You're doing it.

Rafe: One... good!

Hope: [Laughs]

Ciara: Yes!

Rafe: Yes! Yes is right.

Hope: Aww, sweetheart.

Rafe: Awesome.

Ciara: Do you really think this will work?

Rafe: Yeah, I know it'll work, by the way. In fact, why don't you go over there and grab my calendar? And we'll make a date.

Ciara: Yes!

Rafe: A skating date, that is.

Hope: [Sighs] Thank you so much.

Rafe: Well, I'm sure it'll be as therapeutic for me as it is for her.

Hope: No, I'm not talking about the ice skating. I'm talking about your taking the time.

Rafe: Oh, well--

Hope: Knowing what to say. Knowing what she needs to hear.

Rafe: I'm sure the holidays are tough. For you too. Don't worry, though, huh? Hey, she is a good kid.

Hope: Yeah.

Rafe: All right.

Hope: Let's go over this. Can you scooch in here?

Rafe: Uh-huh.

Hope: All right, so take a look at this case and tell me what you think.

Sami: Surprise party? I, um...[Chuckles] Have no idea what you're talking about, but can we do this later? Because I really--

Will: No. Mom, listen. I know. I see things. You can't fool me. I read between the lines, all right?

Sami: [Chuckles]

Will: And I know you're planning a surprise party for me. Look, it's really sweet, but I would really rather you not do it.

Sami: Fine. Fine. No--no surprise party. Allie, it's time to go, sweetie.

Will: Wait, wait, wait, wait. That was too easy. I'm--I don't think you're hearing me.

Sami: You don't want a surprise party.

Will: Yes.

Sami: I don't know why you--

Will: No--yes, yes, you do. You know what? I wasn't gonna pull this out, but Sonny was in the closet the whole time.

Sami: In the closet?

Will: Yeah. When you were over here, you were planning things. You, grandma Kate, and Gabi. He heard everything you said.

Sami: [Whimpers]

Sonny: Gabi, I've just got a lot going on, okay? Hey, if my dad calls the apartment, can you tell him to call my cell phone? 'Cause it's very important.

Gabi: Okay.

Sonny: See you later.

Gabi: Yeah. Uh, you didn't answer my question.

Sonny: What question?

Gabi: Well, I thought that we were cool, and that we worked everything out, but you are seriously acting very strange, and... you know, don't you?

Sonny: Know what?

Gabi: You know about Nick.
