Episode #12215 ~ Theresa's family stages an intervention; Jennifer is thrilled to see JJ is back to playing guitar again.

Provided By Suzanne

EJ: Justin. Thank you for coming so quickly.

Justin: If this is about Kristen, she can find her own damn lawyer.

EJ: It's not about Kristen. Actually, I don't even know where she is.

Justin: Then what's so urgent?

EJ: I would like you and I to work together again.

Gabi: "All costs of relocating to New York will be assumed by sparkle modeling agency."

Will: Did you say something?

Gabi: Uh, no. No, just Sonny, he--he let you sleep a little bit 'cause he knew you were jet lagged.

Will: Oh, I'm fine. How did you sleep?

Gabi: Me?

Will: Yeah. Well, I know you were debating about whether to, you know, do the modeling thing, which I don't get, by the way.

JJ: I thought you already left for work.

Jennifer: No, I overslept. Why aren't you at school?

JJ: I don't have a first period, but I'm going in later.

Jennifer: Well, okay. Have you had your breakfast?

JJ: Oh, don't worry about me. I know you gotta get going.

Jennifer: No, I have time to make you breakfast. I'm gonna make you some eggs, but I need to get my phone-- whoa.

JJ: [Laughs]

Jennifer: Wha--what is going on? What is in there that you don't want me to see? Oh, my gosh, I don't believe it.

Caroline: Oh. [Laughs] Well, good, good. You got my message.

Theresa: Wow, this place is never this empty. What happened?

Caroline: Uh, well, I put a closed sign in the window.

Theresa: Oh, because of what happened with Eric yesterday?

Caroline: Uh, no.

Theresa: Is it about me?

Caroline: Well, here...

Theresa: Mom. Dad. I-I thought you were coming tomorrow. Okay, what's going on here?

Jennifer: Are you playing again?

JJ: No, nah, I was just-- just restringing it.

Jennifer: Yes, you are. This--this is wonderful.

JJ: It's no big deal, mom.

Jennifer: Honey, it is a huge deal. You have not touched your guitar since you came home, you know, another reason you didn't seem like you. I miss hearin' you play.

JJ: Yeah, right.

Jennifer: I do. You are so talented, honey.

JJ: No, I'm not.

Jennifer: Yes, you are. Stop putting yourself down. You are an amazing musician, you know that? And a really wonderful son.

JJ: [Laughs]

Shane: [Sighs] Come here. Thank God you're all right.

Theresa: Yeah, I-I am, dad. I mean, I'm--I'm going to be.

Kimberly: Come here, baby.

Theresa: So why are you here a day early?

Shane: Well, I cut my trip short.

Kimberly: We wanted to get here as soon as possible.

Shane: Because we're very worried about you.

Roman: So are we.

Theresa: [Sighs]

Gabi: You do?

Will: Yes. When I was on the plane goin' out to the seminar, I pulled out some pictures of Ari and was just lookin' at her. And all of a sudden, I felt like so emotional, and I got really embarrassed.

Gabi: Wow, that's really sweet.

Will: Yeah, I just missed her, and I was afraid that she was gonna forget me, and--

Gabi: Oh, come on, I would never let that happen.

Will: Thank you, yeah, that's what I told myself, and I-I felt much better. And I-I went off, and I had a great time, and I'm really glad that I went. And the moral of my story is that I really think you should do this modeling thing. I really think you should do it. Has--has Justin got, you know, in contact with you?

Gabi: Yeah, he texted me, and we're gonna--we're gonna meet so he can go over the contract.

Will: Okay, that's great. Listen, if anybody knows if a contra is good or not, I think--I think it's him. And if it is good, as--I think you should do it. I really--you know? I-I think it'd be good. Why--why would you pass up something that could change your life?

Gabi: I-if I do this, will, it's--it's gonna change your life too.

[Light sabers crashing]

Johnny: I'm taking captain solo and his friends. You can either profit by this, or be destroyed.

Sami: Hey, Luke skywalker. Yo, hey. How about showing some mercy? I mean, Darth Vader looks exhausted, and I think Harold probably has to go back to work.

Harold: Thank you, ma'am.

Sami: Yes, of course. Oh, no. Oh, it's on. [Groans] Wait a second, why are you home? Did your dad forget that today was his day to put you on the school bus?

Johnny: He said we were staying home today. Then he left.

Sami: He did? Where did he go? Oh! Oh, you got me.

EJ: I'm going to assume that you have heard about the situation with my sister.

Justin: Just enough to turn my stomach.

EJ: Well, you will be hearing more.

Justin: What does that have to do with the company?

EJ: My father had entrusted Kristen with certain responsibilities, and she had assured us that she was meeting those responsibilities.

Justin: But she wasn't.

EJ: Uh, no. Everything she was in charge of is now total bollocks.

Justin: Stefano's only away until Chad recovers from his surgery, right? I'm sure he'll fix things once he gets back in town.

EJ: Well, my--my father and I have reached an understanding, if you will. He's going to stay out of town until he's had a little bit of time to reflect on some of his actions of late. In the meantime, there isn't really any need for me to take over, Justin. All I have to do is take over the running of the company. This is a great opportunity for you and I to work together.

Justin: [Laughs] You must think I am a complete idiot, because that's what I'd have to be to even consider working with you again.

Theresa: Gee, this has all the earmarks of--what do they call those on TV? An intervention?

Shane: Well, don't you think something like that's called for in this case?

Theresa: I don't need anybody else to point out to me that I messed up, okay? I figured that out when they were pumping my stomach. Look, I had a lot of time at the hospital to think about stuff and how close I came to, you know, and--look, the point is I get it, okay? I-I messed up, and I had one chance here, and I blew it, and I hit rock bottom, and-- [Sighs] I don't like being there, you know? And I know I just need to pull--

Kimberly: You need to pull yourself back up. I know, we've heard it a hundred times over, and over, and over again, Theresa.

Theresa: Yeah, I know, and it's just words, right? It's--is it not the words that count, it's--it's--it's what I do now.

Kayla: Theresa, I know you think that we're all ganging up on you, and that is not what we're doing.

Roman: Look, making a big change is tough. But part of that change is admitting you need help.

Theresa: I want your help.

Hope: Good. You need to get yourself into some kind of a program. Get the help that you need. Otherwise, you're gonna lose all of our support.

Theresa: Like AA?

Kimberly: Oh, yeah.

Shane: Yes, that's right.

Kimberly: Yeah.

Theresa: Okay, yeah, I can-- I can do that. I mean, I've gone to meetings before, as you know, but it's probably a good idea.

Shane: All right, good. So agreed on that. Now, we just have to decide where you're gonna do it.

Theresa: I think there's a group that meets at Eric's church.

Kimberly: No, no, no, no, no, we're talking about whether you do it here or back in California.

Theresa: What, I can't go home. Are you serious? Dad, if I go back to L.A., That'll be the end of me. have to send a contract in--

Will: I know, I know, I know, I know, and that's great. I'll pitch in more with Ari. You know, I don't mind at all. We're in this together. She's my daughter, and--

[Cell phone rings]

Gabi: No, look, under--hold on, I have to tell you--

Will: No, no, I'm so sorry. One second, it's probably Sonny. No, it's t, actually. He wants to know how my uncle Eric is doing? That's odd. He sent a link. Maybe that'll explain it. And... um, I am going to be back, and--

Gabi: No, no, I need to talk to you still, I-I need to talk--

Will: No, I know, I know, I'm sorry--

Gabi: No, wait, I have to go meet up with--wait, I have to meet up with Sonny's dad, and I need you to look at-- I need you to look after the baby.

Sami: So who do you think your daddy was going to go see, you know? You happen to remember if he said a name of someone? Ah.

Johnny: I wasn't listening.

Sami: Oh, well, you know, sometimes, you'd be amazed what your brain remembers-- back, back-- if you just let it.

Johnny: What does that mean?

Sami: Well-- [Screaming] Okay. You win. You win! You win! I'm unarmed. Here, let's play a game. You know, like using the force. You try to just relax and think of the conversation, and just let your brain remember what name daddy said when he left his message.

Johnny: I can't remember.

Sami: Aw, for God's sake. Uh, sorry. Uh, you know, try again. It's just a name. It's no big deal.

Johnny: Just...

Sami: I'm sorry, sweetheart. I-I-I didn't mean to put pressure on you.

Johnny: No, that's it. Justin. Dad said, "Justin."

Sami: He did? [Gasps] Good job. [Sighs]

Justin: I helped you orchestrate a hostile takeover of your father's company. My wife seems to remind me of that on a daily basis. And how conveniently I forgot that Stefano could've taken his revenge on me and my entire family. And do you know what I got for that?

EJ: A tremendous amount of money.

Justin: The privilege of defending Sami for murder and having you lie to me every step of the way during the trial. And then, I got to watch you give Stefano back everything I helped you take from him.

EJ: I had to protect Samantha, Justin.

Justin: Oh, yes. Your protective nature almost got Sami a guilty verdict. And if you think I don't know why Stefano has control of the company again, you grossly underestimated my intelligence. Bernardi was on Stefano's payroll. Sami killed the man that your father sent to kill Rafe.

EJ: This is not about the trial, nor is it about Samantha.

Justin: So what? It's all just water under the bridge? Who cares if somebody else is raising Marge Bernardi's son because she's in prison? What does it matter that your little brother almost died because she shot him trying to get at you? Or that my marriage almost blew up because of my involvement with you?

EJ: I'm gonna take it that's a "no."

Justin: EJ, I spent these last couple months getting reacquainted with my integrity. Find yourself another guy.

EJ: That won't be hard.

Jennifer: Come on, I want you to play me something.

JJ: Oh, no, I'm out of practice, and the--the thing's just out of tune.

Jennifer: I bet you I'll like it anyway.

JJ: I'm not 12 anymore. Okay, I-I'll suck, and I'll know it.

Jennifer: Please, please, please.

JJ: [Sighs] All right, I'll practice something when you're not around.

Jennifer: Okay. That's a deal. I want you to know that I see the effort that you're making, and it means so much to me, honey. And it is going to mean so much at--at your sentencing hearing because you can honestly tell the judge that things have changed.

JJ: Maybe I can sing it to him. [Plucks strings]

Jennifer: I am being serious. You are doing great in school. You--you're interested in something. I am so glad that I have my son back. I am telling you: Things looked so dark for a while. And now, I just--I feel like it is a whole new day. Mm.

JJ: [Pants] [Sighs] Help me, please. [Sighs]

Jennifer: Okay, if you don't need breakfast, I need to get to work.

JJ: Was that tough for you, mom?

Jennifer: What? What do you mean?

JJ: You think you might run into Daniel?

Jennifer: Um, well, I certainly hope not. You have a good day, okay?

JJ: [Sighs]

Theresa: I got probation because I was leaving L.A. I can't go back there.

Shane: If you go straight into rehab, maybe we can work something out.

Theresa: No, if I go to rehab, then they'll notify the judge, and then the judge will know that I'm using again. And then, he'll send me straight to jail. God, how can you guys do this to me?

Shane: Look, we're not doing anything. It's the judge that gave you probation on condition that you leave los Angeles, you--you get a job, and you stay off drugs. You're the one who--who messed up.

Theresa: It won't happen again.

Kimberly: Honey, honey, we all gotta face the consequences of our actions sometimes.

Theresa: [Laughs] So you're just--you're throwing me to the wolves?

Kayla: I'll tell you what we're not gonna do, Theresa. We're not gonna keep enabling your drug habit.

Theresa: [Sighs] God, I told you that I learned my lesson, okay? I'm not gonna do drugs anymore, and I'll go to AA, and-- I mean, I have a job here still.

Hope: No. You got fired.

Theresa: No, Anne hired me back.

Kayla: It's not just up to her, no matter what she tells you.

Theresa: [Sighs] So you're telling me that I could get fired again? Then they'll revoke my probation for sure.

Kayla: What did you think was gonna happen when you did all these things?

Theresa: God, I just--why doesn't anybody see that I'm turning my life around?

Kimberly: Honey, you overdosed. You almost died. And now, we're here, and we're gonna make sure that's just not gonna happen again, Theresa. If I have to pick you up, and put you on that plane myself, and take you to L.A., I will.

Theresa: You're just loving this, aren't you?

Kimberly: Loving this? How in the world can you say that to me? Loving this?

Shane: I think we need to take a break. Why don't the two of us step outside for a minute, all right?

Theresa: Sure.

[Door closes]

Theresa: Hey, thanks for getting me out of there. [Laughs] I can't believe mom. You know, she wants me to go to jail.

Shane: Now, be quiet and listen. If you think you can play me against your mother, you are very much mistaken, young lady. That might've worked in the past, but believe me, those days are over.

EJ: [Sighs] Good morning. [Sighs]

Sami: How was your meeting with Justin?

EJ: Oh, it went very well. Thank you.

Sami: I didn't know you were seeing him today.

EJ: [Clears throat] Well, you didn't seem in much of a mood for conversation.

Sami: What was your meeting about? Or was it just business?

EJ: Everything's on me now that my father and Kristen have...

Sami: Skipped town?

EJ: Yup. [Sighs]

Sami: So that's what you decided to do the first morning after I find out that you knew what Kristen had done, and you didn't tell me?

EJ: Samantha, we talked about this. I knew that Kristen slept with Eric. That's all she told me.

Sami: [Sighs]

EJ: I'm sorry, I really don't want to drop everything right now just so that you and I can have another fight.

Sami: EJ, there's no way we're gonna get past this if we don't find a way to resolve it.

EJ: How can you resolve anything, Samantha? You hate my sister.

Sami: I think I have a good reason for hating her. She tried to kill my mother. And more recently, she broke my stepbrother's heart by raping a priest who happens to be my twin brother. You know the worst part? The man I love, who I wanna spend the rest of my life with, was protecting her.

EJ: Darling, I was trying to protect you.

Sami: How? How is that protecting me?

EJ: Samantha, if you don't understand that, I-I-I don't know how I can convince you.

Sami: [Scoffs] Oh, EJ, you are so good. [Laughs] That's one of my favorite lines too, I use it all the time. I actually--

Will: Hello? Hey. Did something happen to uncle Eric, because I read some weird stuff online, but that's garbage, right?

Gabi: Thank you so much for looking over this contract for me.

Justin: Of course, I'm happy to do it. No one should sign a contract that they don't know what the fine print means.

Gabi: Right.

Justin: Do you have it with you?

Gabi: Oh, yes. Uh... here.

Justin: Oh, no, no, no, you don't need to pay me. You're one of Sonny's friends.

Gabi: Um, I-I only have a few dollars, but it's really important for me to--

Justin: But you wanna make it official, so everything we discuss is confidential?

Gabi: Right.

Justin: Don't worry about it. I won't say anything to anyone.

Gabi: I-I would feel a lot better if you could just take the money, please.

Justin: Gabi, what don't you want people to find out? What kind of modeling are we talking about here?

Caroline: You've done everything you can for Theresa.

Kimberly: Thanks, ma. Do you remember when I used to get into trouble as a kid, and-- and you used to say to me, "you know, someday, I hope you get a kid who does to you what you're doin' to me?" No, I mean, that--that wish is coming true, right?

Caroline: I should never have said that.

Kimberly: [Laughs] It's all right.

Roman: Well, listen. We are gonna get through to Theresa.

Kayla: And listen, I'm sorry if we pulled the rug out from underneath her, but hope and I just felt that we didn't think that you and Shane should be the only ones to deliver the bad news.

Kimberly: Okay, I appreciate that. No, it doesn't matter what anybody does right now. It's me. She thinks this is all my fault.

Roman: You didn't make her take drugs.

Kimberly: No, roman, I didn't, but you know what? There are an awful lot of things. I should've done better.

Shane: Look, I know I was away far too much when you were young, but you have to know that your mother's a very fragile person, and she had to do the parenting for both of us.

Theresa: She's not that fragile. You weren't there for the fights.

Shane: Dealing with an adolescent, Theresa, is difficult for anyone, and she had to bear the brunt of it.

Theresa: The brunt of me, you mean? God. I cannot believe you are taking her side.

Shane: Would you stop making this about your mother? You are a grown woman, Theresa. It's time you started taking responsibility for your actions. If you had a problem with your mother, it's because you drank too much, you took drugs, and you snuck around with boys twice your age.

Theresa: You ever think maybe I was looking for a father figure?

Shane: [Sighs] All right, fine, maybe I wasn't--I wasn't there for you as much as I should be when you were young, but I'm here now, and you are not a teenager anymore. And you can't guilt me into letting you get away with things you have no business doing. This has to be a-a wake-up call for all of us.

Theresa: I know that, okay? [Cries] Why wouldn't anyone believe me when I say that I've changed?

Shane: Because we've heard it all before. And the last time you said that, Theresa, you were just playing all of us.

Theresa: Okay, so what do I have to do to convince you this time that I've changed?

Shane: Well, it's not just me and your mother you have to convince.

Theresa: And aunt Kayla, and uncle roman--

Shane: No, no, no, no, no, there's--there's someone else you have to speak to.

Theresa: Who?

Kimberly: You ready?

Shane: Yeah.

Hope: Okay, good luck.

Shane: Now, you just wait here with your aunt and the others. We'll be right back.

Theresa: You're not even gonna tell me where you're going? [Sighs] Of all the places in your house... on the up-and-up. I would--I would never, ever consider even doing that kind of modeling.

Justin: Okay, that's good.

Gabi: I have a baby to think about.

Justin: Great. I just--well, you were so adamant about the confidentiality, I just wasn't sure what to think.

Gabi: Well, I think that once you read this, I think you'll understand.

Justin: All right. Well, looks pretty standard so far. You have to move to New York? What about Arianna?

Will: Okay, so there was a sex tape, and it was uncle Eric, and it was your sister.

Sami: Yeah, it's pretty much worse than what everyone's saying.

Will: Everybody saw it in a church?

Sami: Look, your grandmother was tricked into playing that video. She had no idea what was on it. And I agreed that we should play it again a second time.

Will: Why, though? Sami: 'Cause I thought it was altered. I mean, I thought if we watched it again, we would be able to prove that it was a fake.

Will: Was it real, though? Obviously?

Sami: Look, I really believe that Kristen drugged your uncle Eric, and he had no idea what he was doing.

Will: Then why isn't Kristen sitting in jail right now?

EJ: Because nobody knows where she is, William, myself included.

Will: Great. Well, I tried calling uncle Eric, and--and I didn't get an answer, so I just came here. I'm guessing he is messed up.

Sami: Yeah. He didn't know what had happened that night. He had no memory of it. And then, when he saw the video, it all came crashing back to him, and unfortunately that had to happen in front of all his family and friends. So yeah, he's pretty devastated.

Will: Can he still--can he still be a priest?

Sami: I don't know. I don't know if he even still wants that.

Will: Okay. I-it just seems--I mean, if this is true, then what Kristen did seems very...

Sami: Evil?

Will: Yeah.

EJ: Okay, why don't we all hold hands and sit in a prayer circle for Eric later? In the meantime, let's talk about something positive. So why don't you tell me about your trip to Berkeley? How was that?

Will: Oh, it went great. Thank you.

Sami: Yeah, I'm sorry with everything that has been going on that I didn't get a chance to ask about--

Will: That's okay, that's okay, it was basically the--one of the best things that ever happened to me besides Ari, of course, so...

EJ: Fantastic, well, you should tell us all about it, shouldn't you, then?

Will: Okay.

Jennifer: [Sighs]

Karin: Miss Horton?

Jennifer: Yeah?

Karin: I think I owe you an apology.

Jennifer: Oh, hi, honey. Um, really, please don't worry about it.

Karin: I-I sorta need to say this.

Jennifer: Okay.

Karin: Um, I was a gossip. And worse than that, I was spreading stuff about Theresa and Dr. Jonas that had to really hurt you. It was just--it was so much fun being in on the secret that I didn't even think about your feelings.

Jennifer: You know, you hardly even know me.

Karin: The people I told know you. Everyone who loved spreading this around, they all owe you a huge apology.

Jennifer: I appreciate you saying that.

Karin: [Laughs] It's just like high school. The cool, popular girl would tell me to do something crummy to someone who wasn't, and I'd do it so that she'd like me.

Jennifer: You really thought Theresa was cool?

Karin: [Laughs]

Jennifer: Come on.

Karin: I've always had rotten taste. But this really opened my eyes. I've realized I can do better.

Jennifer: Yeah, well, you're not the only one.

[Somber acoustic guitar]

[Doorbell rings]

JJ: [Sighs] Yeah?

Shane: You must be JJ.

JJ: Yeah. Who are you?

Kimberly: Oh, sorry. Hi, we're friends of your mom's. Is she here?

JJ: She's at work, but if you--if you tell me who you are, I can call her.

Shane: Well, my name's Shane Donovan. This is my wife Kimberly. We're Theresa's parents.

JJ: Hm. You can prevent gas with beano meltaways,

Caroline: Hey. It's cold out here. Come on. Come in and join us.

Theresa: No, grandma, I don't wanna go in there. I'd rather freeze than go back in and hear what a screw-up I am.

Caroline: Oh, pl--nobody really believes that.

Theresa: Then why are you all so eager to hack me up and send me back to L.A.?

Caroline: Well, they haven't decided that yet. Oh--oh--please. Will you just try to work with us? I think things would go a lot better if you did that.

Theresa: [Laughs]

Caroline: Huh? Huh? Okay.

Theresa: [Sighs] Hey, mom and dad went somewhere. I don't know what they're doing.

Kayla: They'll be back soon.

Theresa: Look, I thought I had a job that I could count on. Now, you're telling me that I might lose it?

Kayla: Well, I didn't mean to be blunt, but everybody at the hospital knows that you almost died from a drug overdose. So you can't think that you have job security after that.

Theresa: This is Jennifer's doing, isn't it? You know, she's just out to get me.

Kayla: Well, if she was, would you blame her?

Theresa: I didn't even know that Daniel was there when I overdosed.

Kayla: Daniel is not the only reason that she has misgivings about you, and you know it.

JJ: So you're Theresa's parents?

Shane: Yes, that's right.

JJ: Well, if you tell me what you need, I can leave a message for my mom.

Shane: Well, I just--just tell her that we dropped by, and we're in town for a few days. We got something we'd like to run by her in person. But if she's--if she's too busy, we can always talk on the phone. She has my cell number.

JJ: Okay. Well, it was nice meeting you two.

Shane: Yes, indeed. All right, thanks so much.

Kimberly: Thank you.

JJ: [Sighs] Crap.

Justin: So you're thinking of relocating to New York. Is will okay with this? He doesn't know about this, does he?

Gabi: [Sighs] Look, I wanted to tell him this morning, but then he had to leave. So then I just thought I'd rather talk to you first to see if it was even worth storing something up.

Justin: Will is the father of your child, Gabi. He obviously takes that role very seriously. You need to level with him before you even start considering your options.

Gabi: Well, that's what I wanted to do, but then your son Sonny saw the contract accidentally, and he wanted me to talk to you. Before that, I didn't even know what I was gonna do. And then, I have Sonny and will telling me what a great opportunity this is and how I shouldn't dismiss it.

Justin: Do they know if you sign this contract, that you'll have to move to New York?

Gabi: No, they don't.

Justin: You don't feel the need to tell them that?

Gabi: [Sighs] Okay, you don't know how they were talking to me. I mean, they said that--that it was gonna be a great way for me to have a career and make a living for myself and Arianna, and how it's the same thing, you know, with Sonny, with the club and will would have with his writing. And honestly, I hate keeping that--that part away from them, that I'd have to move to New York, but I don't think I should even get them upset before I know if it's even worth it. And I'm not gonna know that until you read the contract.

Will: So workshopping the stuff that I--that I wrote was very cool, but it was scary 'cause I had to share my work with strangers. Yeah.

EJ: Well, William, God, you know you're very good. Otherwise, they wouldn't have invited you to the seminar in the first place.

Will: Yeah.

Sami: I am so proud of you.

Will: Oh, thanks. Okay, I am going to leave because sounds like I can't really do anything for uncle Eric, and I wanna go see my beautiful daughter.

Sami: Oh, I checked in on them a few times while you were gone, and Sonny and Gabi were doing a great job.

Will: Yes, I know. This is working out better than I ever thought.

Gabi: So what's goin' on?

Justin: This agency certainly wants you.

Gabi: Yeah, they saw the printouts I did for mad world.

Justin: They're guaranteeing you a minimum income that's more than livable, and they're taking into account that you're a single mother. They're giving you an allowance for child care, and they're covering 12 flights a year to Salem.

Gabi: Yeah, will and Sonny could visit New York whenever they ant.

Justin: You don't really need me to read the terms of this contract, do you? Sounds like you know it by heart.

Gabi: I guess I do. I've read it over and over. I just need--I-I've never had an opportunity like this, so I-I just--I needed to know that it was real.

Justin: It's real, all right.

Gabi: What about that fine print that you were talking about? I mean, is there anything in there that would put modeling before me being a mom?

Justin: Why do you ask that?

Gabi: Well, will and I don't have like a custody agreement, and I wanna make sure that anybody that reads this contract doesn't--

Justin: All right, stop right there. Now I know why you wanted to pay me for my silence, and I don't want any part of it. [Clears throat] I agree to keep this confidential, and that's exactly what I'll do. But will and my son love this little girl, and you're thinking about taking her away from them, right?

Gabi: I love her too. And I'm her mother, and that means I have rights.

Justin: Yes, you do. But the last thing I'm gonna do is give you advice about how to make that happen.

Sami: So kiss the baby for me.

Will: I will.

Sami: And I bought her a new snowsuit. I'll bring it by today or tomorrow.

Will: Okay, thank you.

Sami: [Sighs] Bye.

Will: All right, love you.

Sami: Love you.

Will: Love you, bye.

Sami: Back to work, I see?

EJ: Well, I don't really have a choice, do I?

Sami: Thank you for seeming interested in will and everything that he has going on.

EJ: I am interested in William. I want him to be happy. I want the best for you too, Samantha.

Sami: How is it best to keep me in the dark about what Kristen did to my brother?

EJ: Did you see Eric last night?

Sami: Yeah, I went to St. Luke's.

EJ: And?

Sami: I didn't tell him that you knew what Kristen did.

EJ: Why not?

Sami: I don't know. [Sighs]

JJ: Mom?

Jennifer: Hm. Hey. What? Is something wrong?

JJ: No, no. It's just, uh, Theresa's parents? They're in town, and they wanna talk to you.

[Indistinct chatter]

Kayla: What's goin' on?

Hope: We have a possible lead on Kristen's location.

Kayla: You're kidding.

Roman: Yeah, we'll get her-- get on this.

Caroline: Oh, you find her and make her pay for what she did to Eric.

Roman: Okay.

Caroline: Okay, bye.

Hope: Bye. Hey, I'm so sorry, we have to go. Something's come up in a big case.

Roman: Ma and--ma and Kayla will fill you in.

Kimberly: Oh, no, no, no, no, no, go, go. All right, thanks, honey, okay.

Roman: All right, okay.

Kimberly: All right, go.

Roman: See you later.

Hope: Roman, come on.

Roman: Sorry to leave you--

Shane: No, sure, duty calls.

Roman: All right, man.

Shane: [Clears throat]

Theresa: [Sighs] I know that look.

Shane: What look?

Theresa: The united front? You two went off to decide whether or not I have to go back to California with you, right? And now, you're here to give me the verdict. [Sighs]
