Episode #12208 ~ Victor gives Marlena a way to ruin Kristen; an unexpected reveal stops Brady and Kristen's wedding.
Provided By Suzanne
Sami: EJ, whatever is going on with you and Kristen, you have to tell me. You can't keep that woman's secrets from me, especially now that she's marrying my brother.
EJ: I already told you. We had a disagreement about work, Samantha. It's nothing you need to worry about.
Sami: Really? Then it won't hurt to tell me, will it? I'm gonna find out one way or another. Oh, come on, EJ, just tell me what it is. You can't hide from me. EJ.
Hope: You have every right to be angry, but--
Jennifer: I don't want to do this today.
Jennifer: Really, I don't. Okay? Theresa was not some random hookup. Daniel knew who she was. He knew who she was to me. So he set out to deliberately hurt me. And that's it--no, there's nothing to say after that. Please.
Caroline: There is clam chowder and some chicken pot pie.
Theresa: Thanks, grandma c, but I'm not really hungry.
Caroline: Well, you will be once all the drugs are out of your system.
[Knock at door]
Caroline: Oh, this is not a good time.
Eric: Sister, come in.
Father Eric, I have Nicole's last check. Will you see her soon?
Eric: No, I won't. Please email her. Get her new address. We'll mail it.
[Both breathing heavily]
[Cell phone ringing]
Victor: Whatever you're doing, drop it and get over here right now.
Marlena: Your I.T. Guy did it, didn't he? He cracked the code. What is on Kristen's flash drive?
Victor: It's... I-I can't begin to describe it.
Kristen: [Sighs] Oh!
Brady: Hey, beautiful. You ready to say "I do"?
Kristen: Just about. How about you?
Brady: I'm suited up, ready to go. I just have to get your surprise loaded and ready.
Kristen: What are you talking about? What's going on?
Brady: Well, it wouldn't be a surprise if I told you, would it? You're just gonna have to wait until the ceremony.
Kristen: I got to tell you, I'm kind of starting to hate surprises.
Brady: Well, you better get over that because I plan for our lives to be surprising on a daily basis.
Kristen: You see, that sounds a little ominous to me.
Brady: It's not ominous. I just plan on finding a different way of showing how much I love you every day. Are you rethinking surprises?
Kristen: As long as they come from you. Hey, I got to run. I'm gonna be late.
Brady: I love you.
Kristen: I love you. Mwah.
[Cell phone thuds]
EJ: My sister--she, um... she crossed a line.
Sami: You seem rattled.
EJ: I just--I don't know what to do with what she told me. It's, uh... it's beyond the pale.
Brady: [Sighs] Okay, I am off. I am headed to the church. And I will see-- what's wrong? You look like the market crashed. Is everything all right?
Victor: [Clears throat]
Theresa: It's okay, grandma Caroline. He's one of my doctors. Can you give us a minute?
Daniel: So I hear you're being released today.
Daniel: Are--are Kimberly and Shane here yet?
Theresa: Oh, no. They're on their way. Should be good times. "Told you so" is mom's best event.
Daniel: [Chuckles] I don't know if anybody wants to go there yet.
Theresa: Oh, no, she'll be all over everything, analyzing all the details of my overdose.
Daniel: Which you don't remember, so it should be a quick conversation, right? Has, uh, any part of that night started to come back to you yet?
Jennifer: Hey, honey.
Hope: Hey, JJ.
Jennifer: Did you just get home from school?
JJ: Hey, aunt hope. How you doing?
JJ: You guys look nice.
Hope: Thank you so much.
Jennifer: Oh, thank you. It's Brady and Kristen's wedding.
Hope: Oh, darn it. It's the station. I need to take it. Sorry. Excuse me. Detective Brady.
JJ: Hey, you okay?
Jennifer: Hmm? Yeah.
JJ: You okay?
Jennifer: Yeah, I'm good.
Jennifer: Hey, I just wanted to let you know that you don't need to fight my battles for me, you know, especially not with Daniel.
J I-I just feel bad.
Jennifer: Well, you shouldn't, really... I mean, not about that, anyway. You know, Daniel and I are grown-ups, and we made our choices.
Jennifer: I'm just so glad that you're home and you're turning things around. And that--that means more to me than anything, honey, really.
[Knock at door]
Matt: Father Eric, have you got a minute?
Eric: I have a wedding starting soon.
Matt: I know. This won't take long.
Eric: Please, father, come in.
Matt: Son, I'm worried about you. You've clearly been upset about something you did a while back. We had a chance to talk about it a while back, but we never finished the conversation. Has whatever was bothering you been resolved? Your silence tells me that it has not. Yore still struggling with something. So talk to me, son. Tell me what happened.
Victor: Didn't anybody ever tell you not to sneak up on an old man?
Brady: [Chuckles] What's going on with you? You all right?
Victor: Yeah, you just startled me--that's all.
Brady: Okay, well, I'll see you and Maggie at the church, then, okay?
Victor: What's the rush?
Brady: Well, it's a horrible idea to be late for your own wedding, granddad.
Victor: Oh, we still have time. If you just give me a minute--
Brady: You know what? Please--please not today. Let's hold off. It's a big day.
Victor: Brady, do you believe that I care for you... that I only have your best interests at heart?
Brady: Yes, I do. That's why today I just want you to be happy for me. That's all I want.
Victor: Damn it, Brady.
Brady: Granddad, I'm marrying Kristen. I love Kristen so much, and there's nothing you can say today...
[Chuckles] That's gonna make me change my mind about that. Where is--
Victor: What are you looking for?
Brady: [Groans] Ah, I thought I forgot this.
Victor: Is that that thing that you made about Kristen?
Brady: Yes, it is, and before you start, I am gonna play it at the wedding. If you don't want to see it, come late. Or d--or don't come at all. If you can't be decent, granddad, I don't know what to tell you.
Victor: I'm sorry. I won't say another word.
Brady: [Sighs] Are you coming to the ceremony?
Victor: I wouldn't miss it for the world.
Brady: Thank you. It means a lot to me that you are going to be there. It's kind of the most important day of my life. I'll see you there.
Victor: [Sighs] It'll certainly be memorable.
Sami: Just tell me what she did. I swear to God, she's already tricking my brother into marrying her. If she did something to hurt you, I will rip her limb from limb.
EJ: Please calm down, Samantha. She did not do anything to hurt me.
Sami: Promise? [Scoffs]
EJ: Yeah. Or at least she doesn't see it that way. [Mumbling] She told me that after the wedding, she's, uh, disappearing with Brady. They're going traveling for three months, so she's gonna be off the grid completely.
Sami: You make it sound like a bad thing.
EJ: She didn't even consult me. I've got father, who's looking after Chad. I'm already covering his bloody workload, and now I have to deal with hers as well?
Sami: EJ, since when are you afraid of hard work? You were running the whole company all by yourself for a long time.
EJ: That's very different than cleaning up their mess.
Sami: Okay. You're right. I agree with you. Screw her. You should tell her she's not allowed to go.
EJ: Well, that's exactly what I was doing. That's what you walked in on, anyway. We were having a fight, and we went a few rounds, and then I just decided the best thing to do was probably just, you know, let it go, so... it's done. I'll handle it.
Sami: You will.
Sami: You can. And you know what? You're gonna be happier for it. You'll have more room to maneuver at the company by yourself. And I will be happier, 'cause she'll be out of the house for three months. And I would love to help you with the company if you want.
EJ: Thank you.
Sami: Anytime. So what's the rest of it?
EJ: I'm sorry--what?
Sami: There's more. I can smell it. So tell me. Come on, tell me everything that happened with Kristen. Just tell me every word she said.
EJ: I mean, I don't remember everything. I told you the important part. So why don't we go to the wedding and just let events run their course, eh?
Sami: Um, okay. As long as you promise not to be offended by the huge smile on my face when we wave good-bye to Kristen.
Sami: Wow. Kristen, you look beautiful.
Kristen: Thank you.
Sami: Sure. I should get ready too, right? And go find Brady-- you know, best-woman duties. Again, you, um--stunning. And you are going to be a beautiful bride. And I can't wait.
Sami: Yeah. Oh, yeah. See you at the altar.
Kristen: Okay, so she's clearly very happy. You didn't tell her about Eric and me.
EJ: No. But I had to tell her something, and I couldn't very well tell her the truth, now, could I?
Kristen: No, so you lied.
Eric: I confessed to God and asked for his forgiveness.
Matt: And you found no peace?
Eric: I don't deserve that.
[Knock at door] Evan. Hi. What do you--what do you have for me? Evan, your teacher says you're acting up in your class.
Evan: I guess.
Eric: Evan, I talked to your mom a couple of days ago. We're gonna get you into a new apartment as soon as we can. In the meantime, I want you to think of this place as a refuge. You're safe here. So use it. You know, if you pay attention in your classroom, you can learn a lot of very interesting things to help you.
Evan: I'll try.
Eric: Good. So, listen, I want you to take this back to your classroom and come and see me tomorrow. Bring your homework. We're gonna find a very quiet place for you to study.
Evan: Yes, father.
Matt: Whatever is worrying you, my son, know this--you have a gift. This is truly your vocation.
Brady: Okay. Kent? Hi.
Brady: How you doing? Brady black. How you doing?
Kent: Great. Everything's set up.
Brady: Great. This is the footage. Basically, when Kristen walks down the aisle, I'm gonna say a couple words, and when the lights go out, cue the footage.
Kent: Should be a breeze. You are in good hands. I just gonna run out to the car, get another cable, and we're good to go.
Brady: All right, great, man. Thank you.
[Sighs] This is finally gonna happen.
Marlena: What is it?
Victor: Proof that Kristen has the morals of an alley cat. It's footage of her cheating on Brady.
Marlena: Okay. Where is he right now?
Victor: At the church.
Marlena: We have to show it to him.
Victor: I tried. He wouldn't sit still for five seconds. [Sighs] No, there's only one way we can make this work for us now.
Why is it the ones
Theresa: You know, I wish I could remember that night, but it's sort of a blur, like I said. I mean, I don't even remember the two days leading up to the O.D.
Daniel: Well, at least you're feeling better. You know, but I'm a bit concerned, um... that there's been a rumor going around the hospital about me and you. Do you remember anything about that?
Theresa: Oh, God, I'm so sorry, Daniel. I mean, obviously I don't remember the specifics, but, um... look, if I hurt you in any way, I... I just feel really bad. I mean, I... you've been so nice to me.
Daniel: Well, you know, that stuff really isn't important. Just get stronger, get some rest, and, you know, promise... to call me the minute you start to remember anything about that night. It's important.
Kristen: Thank you for not throwing me under the bus.
EJ: You're family. You'd do the same for me.
Kristen: Yes... especially considering what you have on me is so devastating.
EJ: I would hope that you would do it because you love your little brother.
Kristen: Of course.
EJ: I also happen to believe for some God unknown reason that you happen to be in love with that little--
Kristen: You know, would you stop? Please stop. Alright, if I have to be nice to Sami, you can be nice to Brady.
EJ: No, no, no. I've heard just about enough from you today, so don't push it.
Kristen: Is it really that difficult for you to keep this a secret? Honestly? Does anybody have anything to gain by this coming out? I mean, especially Eric.
EJ: I tell you, it wouldn't do that priest any harm to fall off his pedestal and walk with the rest of us mere mortals for a day or two.
Kristen: No, no, no, not this way, not ever.
EJ: Well, then I hope you have this thing sewn shut, my dear, because if it gets out, it is going to be ugly.
Sami: Ooh, hey.
Brady: Oh, hey.
Sami: Hi. Wow. Look at that--look at that look on your face. Oh, God.
Brady: What? I'm not getting cold feet or anything. I'm good.
Sami: No, you're not. It's worse than that. You're actually excited. You can't wait for this to be over.
Brady: I love how you know me so well. When did that happen?
Sami: I do know you. And I want you to remember this exchange the next time you decide that I am too self-absorbed to live.
Brady: I will do that. I just wish--I want Kristen out here. I want to get this over with. Let's just do this.
Eric: It doesn't work like that.
Brady: Why not? Why can't we do, you know, a speed wedding? You know, that way you'd be home watching the bulls out of that crazy white outfit that you have, and I would be on my honeymoon, and life would be good.
Eric: Yeah, well, you have a lot of guests coming who want a big production.
Sami: Yeah, exactly. We got all dressed up. We want to send you off right.
Brady: Well, I suppose we should give the people what they want.
Victor: Kristen has to be exposed publicly at a time and place where Brady can't avoid it.
Marlena: All right. How do you propose we do that?
Victor: Brady's put together a DVD tribute to Kristen.
Marlena: I will be sick.
Victor: He plans to show it before the ceremony. We have to sneak into the church... and switch that DVD for this one.
Victor: It's the only way.
Marlena: [Stammers] I'm not even invited to the wedding.
Victor: Exactly. That's why you can sneak in and out. I mean, I'd do it myself, but... Maggie's watching me like a hawk, and I'm expected to be front and center for this circus. Do you want to stop Kristen?
Marlena: Of course I do.
Victor: Then unless you can think of something else, this is it. What are you doing?
Marlena: Well, I have to see what's on it. Save them. for a viewing.
Marlena: I just want to know what Brady's going to see.
Victor: You want a more graphic description? It's Kristen sweating up the sheets with another man.
Marlena: Do we--do we really have to go this far?
Victor: No, Marlena, we can sit back and just let her win. Now, will you get going?
Marlena: You don't want me to see this, do you? Why is that? Who's on that?
Victor: What does that have to do with--
Marlena: You better tell me, because I'm not leaving until I know.
Kristen: Eric's memory is very vague. He can barely remember the sex.
EJ: I see. So the man was, uh--he was awake during this encounter, was he?
Kristen: [Laughs] Very much so.
EJ: But he thinks it was Nicole for now, right?
Kristen: For good.
EJ: You really did not think this through, did you? You always told me, never leave a trace.
Kristen: The video is gone. Chyka's gonna make sure that Eric's memory is gone.
EJ: Chyka. Chyka.
EJ: That's father's guy-- Chyka?
Kristen: Uh-huh. He's gonna give me something that I give to Eric. I'm gonna put it in his drink tonight, and he's not gonna remember anything more than he already does, all right? Dr. Chyka said it's not gonna hurt him, so don't worry about that.
EJ: Right, 'cause this is the same bloody genius who told you that he wouldn't remember anything in the first place.
Kristen: Look, what do you want from me? I am pedaling as fast as I can here. Do you want blood from a stone? Leave no trace? Do you want me to kill him? Would that make you happy?
EJ: Well, let's think about that, shall we? Probably not.
Kristen: Then what is your problem? What is it? Do you feel bad for Nicole? Really?
Caroline: You are gonna be okay, kid. Just don't forget where I am.
Anne: There you go. Should I stay, or do you want to be alone?
Theresa: Uh, you should probably want me to be alone. I'm not much fun.
Anne: Hey. I am enough fun for both of us, all right? So should I do something? You want anything?
Theresa: Well, I'd like the last week back... maybe a job reference. I mean, I'm gonna start looking.
Anne: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hey, you still have a job at the hospital.
Anne: Um, yeah. As long as I am head of H.R., You are in like Flynn, honey. Yeah, you just get healthy. Get healthy and put this behind you, okay? All right, lie down. Come on. All right. Onward and upward, right? Okay.
JJ: Okay, so when was miss Donovan released? So she's gone? Uh, thank you.
Sami: Stop it. Stop fidgeting. You're worse than Johnny.
Brady: You're tightening it up too much. Well, maybe I should have made Johnny my best man, huh?
Sami: How dare you? I worked hard on my toast.
Eric: Well, at least I know Johnny wouldn't lose the ring.
Eric: Don't tell me.
Brady: You didn't.
Sami: I didn't.
Brady: You didn't.
Sami: No, I have it.
Brady: Really? Show me the ring.
Eric: I want to see it.
Sami: I have it. Of course I have the ring.
Sami: Look, I'm offended by both of you, okay? I run an internationally successful company, and I have four children. I plan their schedules. I have the ring.
Brady: Do you believe this? Unbelievable, right? In a church, no less, she's doing this.
Eric: It's like a reflex, isn't it?
Brady: It's crazy. Whoop. What's this? What were you--what were you-- what were you gonna do when the time came... when I was standing up there?
Sami: Wing it.
Brady: Wing it?
Sami: I'm not gonna miss you, just so you know. I'm not missing you at all.
Brady: I'm not gonna miss you at all either.
Eric: The penthouse.
Brady: The penthouse.
Sami: Oh, my God, right? Wasn't that the last time that we were all together in the same place, all the Brady kids, all the black kids?
Brady: Best Christmas ever. Oh, remember the awkward--very awkward Christmas photo that we all took?
Sami: Yeah. What do you mean? Of course I remember it, and mom still has it on her coffee tab--
Brady: We can talk about Marlena. It's okay. She's not here, but she's gonna come around, and she is gonna be okay with you performing the ceremony, trust me.
Sami: Oh, well, yeah, she's definitely gonna be okay with that. I mean, you're the golden boy. You can't do anything wrong, ever, and you, you know, it'll-- it'll be okay. You're going away for three months, so...
Brady: Yes, I am.
Eric: That's when she'll miss you most.
Brady: I am taking a long honeymoon, everyone.
Sami: You deserve it, believe me, but it'll give mom a chance to cool off too.
Eric: Yeah, well, it'll give people a lot of time to get used to the idea of, you know, you and Kristen.
Brady: I hope they do. I hope they get used to the idea, but I know one thing. I wouldn't be getting married if it wasn't for you.
Eric: No, you two did all the work.
Brady: Well... I got to hug you.
Brady: I got to hug you. I'm just happy. [Laughs] I owe you. I owe you.
Victor: Do you really care who Kristen is doing? What matters is what she's doing and that Brady find out about it before he's married to that succubus.
Marlena: Did you recognize the man she's with?
Victor: I'm gonna have my driver take you over to St. Luke's. The man can corner a limo on two wheels at 80 miles an hour.
Victor: Look at the time. Look at the time.
Marlena: At least--at least tell me that it wasn't Daniel.
Victor: Oh, good God, no. Of course not. I wouldn't publically humiliate my godson like that. What do you think I am?
Marlena: I think you're in a hurry.
Victor: I am panicked that Brady is going to ruin his life. Now, if you won't do this and I have to try and find somebody else, we lose, and Kristen--
Marlena: No, no. She won't win. I won't let her win. I've got it taken care of.
Victor: [Sighs] When it comes to getting my family to eat breakfast, problem with Eric blaming Nicole for what happened. She brought this upon herself.
Kristen: Yes, she did. She was long overdue, after that whole pregnancy debacle last year.
EJ: Oh, I see. You were exacting justice for me, were you?
Kristen: Kind of.
EJ: Not even a little, sweetheart. You were lucky Nicole was there.
Kristen: I'm just saying that I would have done something to her if you wanted me to.
EJ: Well... you are very sweet.
Kristen: I am.
EJ: But I think you've done enough.
Kristen: I'm just saying... I got your back.
EJ: And I have yours.
Kristen: So we're good, right?
EJ: We are good, although I do have to warn you, in my capacity as your groomsman, of one thing.
Kristen: What now? What?
EJ: You... are late.
Kristen: [Gasps] Okay, you're right. Let's go get me hitched. All right.
Eric: The guests should be arriving soon.
Sami: No, no, wait. We have to have a celebration toast. I brought champagne for us.
Brady: Sounds good.
Eric: I have some glasses in the rectory.
Brady: All right.
Sami: Then let's do it. We could take a photo, you know, just the three of us.
Brady: We've taken 16 photos.
Sami: And we're taking another one.
Kent: What are you doing?
Daniel: Did you and your mom have fun? Did you? Yeah? What's in here? What's that? Is that for me? Did you make that? That is amazing.
Anne: Oh, yeah, you're a real hero. What's that little boy gonna say when he grows up and finds out who you really are?
[Knock at door]
Theresa: Hi. Um, how'd you know where I live?
JJ: You don't remember?
Theresa: Did I give you my address? 'Cause if it was in the last couple of days, then, no, I don't remember. It's kind of been a bad week.
JJ: Yeah, I heard.
Theresa: Perfect, so then, look, if you're here for drugs or something--
JJ: No, no, no, that's-- that's not what...
Theresa: Okay. JJ, why are you here?
Brady: Ready? Smile.
Sami: I'm sure you--that must be--oh, good one.
Brady: Oh, it's not bad.
Sami: Love it.
Eric: It's a keeper.
Sami: Okay, awesome. All right, toast?
Brady: Toast. Eric, please.
Eric: To Brady and his new wife. May you have a long and happy life together.
Marlena: Uh, who are you?
Kent: The man in charge of this equipment.
Marlena: Oh. Oh! Oh. Oh, that's perfect, because, um, Brady wanted me to come and have you switch out that for this new DVD. It has, I guess, I don't know, some kind of different music that he wanted.
Kent: Oh, okay, I'm sorry I jumped. [Chuckles]
[Cell phone ringing]
Kent: It's just, you know, it's an expensive setup, and I'm responsible for the equipment.
Marlena: Oh, no, I-I completely understand. I-I, um... I-I'll leave this in your capable hands.
Kent: Could you hold on? I got to fix some equipment at another wedding. Could you just stay here?
Marlena: No. Oh, no.
Kent: No, if you can't stay, just find somebody else, or there will be no video.
Marlena: But I have no idea how--
Kent: It's very simple. You just press this button to start the music and press this key to play the video.
Marlena: Oh, oh, um... oh, man. Oh. I can't be here. I can't be here.
Sami: Okay, okay, yes, I am emailing you both the photo right now.
Brady: Um... thank you for the champagne, by the way.
Sami: Oh, you're welcome. I am a good best woman, right?
Brady: Yes, you are.
Eric: And those candles should be lit, so...
Brady: And I am going to check the A/V equipment to make sure it's working.
Maggie: Oh, my goodness.
Jennifer: Hey, there's the handsome groom.
Maggie: Oh, there he is.
Jennifer: Hi. You look great.
Brady: Mwah. You guys look wonderful.
Hope: Looking good-- very handsome.
Brady: How are you? Thank you for being here.
Maggie: Of course I'd be here.
Brady: Big question--is Victor coming?
Victor: I wouldn't miss it for anything in the world.
Brady: I'm glad you're here.
Maggie: The church looks beautiful. Come on, we got to get our seats.
Eric: If you would all take your seats--I believe we're ready to begin.
Sami: Whoa, whoa, Brady. This way, tiger.
Brady: No, no, I want to check the equipment one more time.
Sami: You hired a professional for that. Come on.
Marlena: The techie had to leave. I've got to get out of here.
Victor: You can't. There's no time. Just handle it.
Marlena: I have to go. Victor, Victor... [Sighing]
EJ: Uh... perfect.
Kristen: Thank you. Mwah. Don't you worry. Everything's gonna be okay.
EJ: Well, this is your happy ending.
Kristen: Mm-hmm. Finally, with the right man.
EJ: You ready?
Eric: Music, please.
[Wagner's Bridal Chorus]
Ready or not.
JJ: I just wanted to make sure you're okay.
Theresa: Yeah, I'm fine. I-I'm great. Perfect. I've never been better. Look, I feel stupid, okay? I'm not real proud of myself, and, uh... but I'm okay physically.
JJ: I'm glad.
Theresa: Look, I don't really mean to be rude, but I kind of need to take a nap.
JJ: Oh, yeah, yeah, um... of course. Um, just--just feel better, okay?
Theresa: Okay. Thanks. Bye.
Daniel: You need to be...
Anne: Excuse me.
Daniel: Very careful about what you say in front of my son.
Anne: What, you think he's not gonna hear about you someday?
Daniel: Well, I am going to teach my son not to listen to lying gossips.
Anne: Oh, really?
Daniel: Yeah, really.
Anne: So--so what's the truth, Dr. Jonas? Because I'm just not buying all this noble silence about what happened with Theresa.
Daniel: She needs her privacy, and that's really all you need to know.
Anne: Oh, bull. Come on, you're covering your own ass.
Daniel: I don't have to answer to you.
Anne: But it's not gonna work, you see, because everybody knows what you really are, doctor.
Brady: Surprise. Don't--don't worry. You're gonna love it.
Eric: Please be seated. Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to celebrate... Kent.
Eric: [Chuckles] We're gathered here today to celebrate the union of Brady black and Kristen DiMera. But before we witness their vows, there's something that the groom would like to share with us all.
Brady: I just wanted to say that I know most of this town, probably this church, has had their doubts about Kristen and me. But I'm sure that once you see this, you will come to know the woman that I have come to know and love and today will promise to love for the rest of my life. Thank you.
Eric: Kent, can you play the video, please?
