Episode #12193 ~ Eric realizes what happened to him; Brady ends his friendship with Nicole.

Provided By Suzanne

Judge Pierce: This young man was recently released on his own recognizance. He has demonstrated little to no respect for authority and apparently lacks the will to act as productive or law-abiding citizen. Therefore, bail is denied.

Justin: Permission to approach the bench, your honor. [Clears throat]

Judge Pierce: Yes?

Justin: We've just negotiated a plea deal with the D.A.'s office, if we could present that to you now.

Johnny: These are Uncle Chad's favorite.

Sami: Well, maybe we should take some down to him at the hospital, huh?

Johnny: 'Cause hospital food sucks.

Sami: Johnny!

Johnny: What? It does. Mommy...

Sami: What?

Johnny: Why did that lady shoot Uncle Chad?

[Monitor beeping]

EJ: Hey.

Chad: Where am I? [Groans]

EJ: Chad...

Chad: Where--

EJ: You're in a hospital.

Chad: Why does it feel like I got hit by a bus? [Groans]

EJ: You're in a hospital. You had some surgery. You're fine. You remember what happened?

Chad: Yeah, I think so.

EJ: You took two bullets for me, you beautiful fool.

Chad: [Laughs weakly]

EJ: You saved my life.

[Knock at door]

Marlena: Daniel-- Kristen.

Kristen: Marlena.

Nicole: You cannot marry Kristen because she's been unfaithful to you. Look, it-- it happened after the first time you canceled the wedding, and she's been lying to you ever since.

Brady: You sure?

Nicole: Completely.

Brady: Who was it?

Nicole: Hmm?

Brady: Who was it? Who did she sleep with?

Eric: I was hoping you might be able to tell me about another guest who checked in the night that I was at the hotel.

Martha: Fay Taylor.

Eric: Yes, you remember her.

Martha: I do, very well.

Eric: Why? I-I mean, it was months ago.

Martha: Yes, but she was such a strange woman, and I could tell right away that she was up to no good.

Abigail: Mom, what's going on?

Jennifer: I have no idea.

[Men speaking indistinctly]

Justin: Okay, JJ. [Sighs] Are you okay with this?

JJ: I don't think I have much choice.

Judge Pierce: Young man, I understand that you would like to change your plea.

Justin: Stand up. [Clears throat]

JJ: Yes, your honor. Uh, I'd like to plead guilty.

Kristen: Well, now that we've gotten the roll call out of the way--

Marlena: What are you doing here?

Kristen: Daniel was kind enough to let me use his office to make some last-minute wedding arrangements.

Marlena: Last minute?

Kristen: Yes! Brady and I finished our pre-cana counseling, and your darling son Eric has agreed to marry us. Isn't it wonderful?

Marlena: Have you set a wedding date?

Kristen: Oh, yes. We're getting married right away.

Nicole: It doesn't matter who she's been sleeping with. What matters is that she gave herself up to someone else while you were--

Brady: While I was what? Sleeping with you? What's the difference?

Nicole: You know damn well what the difference is. She's been lying to you.

Brady: She's been lying to me. You know, I-I heard that. I've heard you say that. What I haven't heard is something very important-- a name. Why don't you tell me the name of the guy?

Nicole: 'Cause I don't--

Brady: You don't what?

Nicole: I don't know exactly.

Brady: What do you know? Well, do you sort of know? Do you kind of know?

Nicole: I know--no. I know it's true. Kristen is a lying slut.

Brady: Watch your mouth. You want me to believe you? Show me proof.

Eric: What made you think that Fay Taylor was up to no good?

Martha: Well, I don't like to gossip.

Eric: No, I-I'm not asking you to gossip. I just want to know what you saw that night.

Martha: Well, first of all, this guest checked in and out on the same night. It was a while ago, like you say, so my memory is a little fuzzy, but that's the kind of thing you don't forget.

Eric: When did she leave?

Martha: I'm not sure, but sometime before the ambulance came to pick you up. Thank goodness for your friend. What was her name again?

Eric: Nicole.

Martha: Yes, Nicole. I think the good lord must have sent her. Her timing was uncanny.

Sami: Well, I think that lady hurt uncle Chad because she was really, really sad.

Johnny: Why?

Sami: Well, um... her husband died.

Johnny: Oh.

Sami: Yeah. And she was so sad that it kind of made her sick. And she didn't mean to hurt uncle Chad, but I guess she just couldn't help it. But you know what? Uncle Chad is getting better, and that is what we should focus on right now. Right?

Johnny: Are you gonna wait for him to get better before you get married?

Caroline: Uh, Johnny, how would you like to help aunt Kayla? She is making the scariest Halloween cupcakes ever.

Johnny: Oh, boy!

Sami: Grandma! Cupcakes after lunch?

Caroline: A little sugar is probably the least of your worries.

Sami: What does that mean?

Caroline: Well, you didn't answer Johnny. Are you going to postpone your wedding to EJ?

EJ: And you told me you weren't the heroic type.

Chad: I'm not. But you had on that fancy suit. Couldn't let it get ruined. Was anyone else-- is Abigail okay?

EJ: Abigail is fine. She is fine. We were able to subdue Marge Bernardi before anybody else was hurt.

Chad: [Exhales] Thank God. [Chuckles]

EJ: You should know she was here most of last night. She stopped by this morning as well.

Chad: Where is she now?

EJ: I don't know. She just popped out to get something. I'm sure she'll be back soon.

Judge Pierce: The D.A.'s office has agreed to a very generous plea bargain. Probation and community service, no time served? Seriously?

Justin: Uh, your honor, if I could draw your attention to the attached affidavit from Dr. Kayla Brady, chief of staff at the university hospital, attesting to the extenuating circumstances that caused my client to act out as he did. And detective hope Brady is also willing to testify regarding Mr. Devereaux's state of mind at the time--

Judge Pierce: Do you have anyone who's not related to the boy?

Justin: Uh, yes, I, uh--

Judge Pierce: That was a rhetorical question, counselor. Mr. Deveraux, maybe you should play the Powerball, given your recent spate of good luck. You faced shoplifting charges, but they were dropped. Then you were arrested for drug distribution, but you were underage by one day, and your ace lawyer got you off on a misdemeanor. And now your crimes of vandalism and assault and battery can be explained away by extenuating circumstances. How convenient.

Justin: Your honor, I--

Judge Pierce: I think maybe it's time for young Jack Patrick's luck to run out.

Jennifer: Justin, he has to accept the plea, doesn't he?

Judge Pierce: No. In fact, I don't. I would like to see this young man finally learn his lesson, and prison may be the only place that that is going to happen.

Kristen: I am being so insensitive. This must be somewhat humiliating for you and demoralizing, I would imagine.

Marlena: Why would that be?

Kristen: Oh, come on, Marlena, isn't it obvious? I've gotten everything I've ever wanted. I mean, I am so happy. I'm ecstatically happy.

Marlena: Clearly, you are.

Kristen: By the way, have you spoken to john since he left town? I mean, if you do, just give him my best, would you?

Marlena: I wouldn't gloat if I were you. You haven't married Brady yet. Remember what happened last time you tried?

Kristen: Oh, that's not very nice of you to bring that up right now.

Marlena: [Laughs] Well--

Kristen: What do you think's going to happen? Something's just going to come out of the blue and destroy us? It's not gonna happen. Because nothing can.

Nicole: Well, maybe when you were looking through Kristen's purse, looking for your flash drive, you got hers instead.

Marlena: [Gasps] And that's what the robber must have been trying to get.

Nicole: Exactly.

Marlena: Oh, my gosh. That means there's something on that drive she desperately does not want me to see. Well, that's what you thought before. But I'm sure you're right. I'm sure nothing will stop you from marrying Brady this time.

Nicole: I don't have absolute proof yet.

Brady: Ah.

Nicole: But I know it happened.

Brady: You don't have absolute proof. Do--do you--do you have any proof? How do you know this?

Nicole: She admitted it.

Brady: She came up to you and said that she cheated on me.

Nicole: N-no. She was talking to someone. I don't know. She was on the phone. But she admitted it, and I was-- I was trying to find the proof before I brought it to your attention.

Brady: Oh, you were going to bring it to my attention.

Nicole: But then you moved up the wedding date, and I-I couldn't wait. I promise I will find the proof that you need...

Brady: What are you doing?

Nicole: If you just postpone your wedding.

Brady: Why are you doing this? This is what you do. You're so predictable, Nicole. You can't stand the idea that Kristen and I are gonna be happy together, so you get desperate, and you make crap up. Why do you do this?

Nicole: Wait, you think I'm the one that's lying?

Brady: That's what liars do.

Eric: [Sighs] Did, uh, did Fay--did she say where she was from, or maybe what she was doing at the capital?

Martha: I don't think she wanted anyone to know who she really was.

Eric: What do you mean, who she really was?

Martha: Well, she paid cash, wouldn't leave a credit card for the room charges, and then there was that disguise--

Eric: Disguise?

Martha: Well, you saw her, right?

Eric: Just briefly.

Martha: How many people do you see wearing sunglasses at night? And then there was the bad accent and the wig.

Eric: Do you think she knew somebody at the hotel?

Martha: She must've. And then, as soon as she disappeared, your friend Nicole popped up-- oh, my gosh.

Eric: What?

Martha: I never thought about this before, but they were both tall and thin and overly assertive, and... I know this sounds far-fetched, but--

Eric: But what?

Martha: It's almost as if Fay Taylor could have been your friend in disguise. Of all the places in your house...

EJ: Chad, father was here earlier.

Chad: Ugh.

EJ: Look, I saw him in the chapel last night, and he was as devastated as I have ever seen him.

Chad: You didn't tell him about--

EJ: The brain? No, of course not. No.

Chad: Thank you. If Abigail ever found out that I was lying to Cameron about it--

EJ: He's not on the protocol. He's not taking any drugs. He doesn't have a tumor. That is something you don't need to worry about. Chad... I know that I induced you to move into the mansion under some duress.

Chad: Mm. Father gave you no choice.

EJ: Still, it's very important to me that you understand that I have your best interests at heart. I'm your big brother. It's my job to protect you. Especially now that you've saved my life. Get some rest.

Justin: Your honor, with all due respect, this agreement is acceptable to all parties. It would save the taxpayers thousands of dollars.

Judge Pierce: Not if Mr. Deveraux takes it on himself to go on another costly rampage. I understand that the defendant was upset by news that he'd recently learned about his father, but that is no excuse for his behavior, which clearly began long before his upset. [Sighs] However, I am willing to consider the plea deal with one additional stipulation.

Justin: What's that, your honor?

Judge Pierce: That the defendant return home to live with his mother. I realize Mr. Deveraux is of the age of majority, but--

Justin: We will agree to your stipulation, your honor. Thank you.

Judge Pierce: Don't thank me yet.

Marlena: I guess I should know that you can't beat a dead whore--horse. Horse.

Kristen: I'm not dead, and I'm not a "whor-se" either. But I do appreciate the general sentiment. What am I doing? I have to get going. I gotta go to the florist before I meet with Brady. Have I told you how difficult it is to plan a wedding at the last minute? Anyway-- oh! Really?

Nicole: Brady, I am not making this up. And I know how hard it is to hear that the person you love isn't who you thought.

Brady: Stop it. I'm not gonna listen to this crap anymore.

Nicole: Brady, please, please don't-- don't wind up like me.

Brady: I won't. I won't. Because I have a lot of flaws, lot of 'em, but dishonesty's not one of them. I'm an honest man. And I can't believe you're going to stand here in front of me and tell me that Kristen lied to me when you are the one that can't handle truth, Nicole walker.

Nicole: Brady, please, would you just...look at me? Look in my eyes and see that I am not lying to you.

Brady: I am looking into your eyes.

Nicole: You are my best friend.

Brady: You are not a friend! Friends are supportive. You are not a friend.

Eric: This is a recent picture of Nicole. Take a good look. Do you think she and Fay could have been the same person?

Martha: I can't say for sure. But what do you think?

Eric: I didn't really get a good look at Fay. As I said, she seemed to want to keep her distance.

Martha: Maybe because she didn't want you to recognize her?

Eric: Are you sure you never saw these two women together?

Martha: Not that I remember, no, but the more I think about it, the more I think Fay and Nicole are probably one and the same. 6 children, 44 years...

Kristen: Don't have time for this.

Marlena: Mm-hmm.

Kristen: Oh...

Maxine: Well, what in the world's going on here?

Kristen: Daniel let me use his office for a minute, and as I was leaving, I accidentally knocked these files off.

Maxine: Just leave them. Those could contain confidential patient information.

Kristen: Oh.

Marlena: Oh, Maxine, I'm sorry. Of course, you're right about that.

Maxine: It's all right, Dr. Evans. I'll take care of it.

Marlena: Thank you so much.

Kristen: Well... you ladies have a wonderful day. Good-bye.

Marlena: Thanks, Maxine.

Maxine: [Sighs]

Sami: Well, you know, Chad is in recovery. We don't know how long that's going to take. So yeah, I mean, we want him to be a part of the wedding. If we have to postpone things, we will.

Caroline: Is that the only reason?

Sami: Grandma, I love EJ. I am going to spend the rest of my life with him.

Caroline: I know you do. I was just wondering if you think this family can survive two weddings in one season.

Sami: Daddy has been talking to you, hasn't he?

Caroline: Don't be too hard on your father. He loves you, and he wants the best for you. And that's--that was what I was telling Shawn last night. What?

Sami: Grandma...

EJ: Dr. Davis, may I speak to you for a moment, please?

Cameron: Sure.

EJ: Privately.

Cameron: Well, I don't have my own office, so this is the best I can do for now, and I'm pretty busy, so--

EJ: [Clears throat] I'll cut to the chase. I understand that Abigail was here earlier.

Cameron: And let me guess. You want to make sure that I didn't mention Chad's big lie. Look, I told you I wouldn't lay that on her right now, and I didn't.

EJ: Thank you. I appreciate your discretion.

Cameron: So is this where you whip out a wad of cash, or maybe a death threat?

EJ: Uh, no, I'm not my father. If you wish to tell Abigail, then go ahead and be my guest. But I suggest, before you do that, that you make sure you're in possession of all the facts.

Cameron: What other facts could there be?

EJ: I think you'd be surprised by the reason that my brother did what he did.

Cameron: And I suppose you're going to enlighten me.

EJ: Not my place.

Judge Pierce: Mr. Deveraux, it is clear that you have been on a bad path for quite some time now, so... [Sighs] While I am not opposed to the plea deal, a sentence of probation and community service, I'm going to need some time before I come to a final decision. Therefore, I will defer my ruling until a later date, which will give you a chance to redeem yourself, Mr. Deveraux. In the meantime, not only must you remain living with your mother--you cannot get into any more legal trouble. If you do, I will no longer consider the plea deal but will instead impose the maximum sentence of five years in prison. Can you agree to my terms?

JJ: Yes, your honor.

Judge Pierce: In the meantime, you and your family can have no contact with the witnesses or the victims of your crimes, in case they may be called to testify at some date in the future. All right, Mr. Deveraux is released for now under the conditions set forth. Jack... it is my fervent hope that the next time we meet, you will not have given me any reason to reject said plea bargain and send you to prison. [Bangs gavel]

Bailiff: All rise.

JJ: That's it? I'm free?

Justin: For now, yes. You're free.

Jennifer: Oh, thank God.

Nicole: You call me a liar, yet you believe her after everything she's done to you. Can't you just see what she has to say?

Brady: I already have.

Nicole: No.

Brady: Eric guided us through pre-cana, and we laid it all on the line--our fears, our hopes, our feelings. There isn't one secret left between us.

Nicole: If you believe that, you're a bigger fool than I thought.

Brady: No, I think you're the fool. I think you're the bigger fool because you're in love with my brother, who you can't even have, and you're trying to control my life right now. We all see this coming, Nicole. We all know what you're up to.

Nicole: Eric has nothing to do with this.

Brady: You have such a casual relationship with the truth that you don't even hear yourself lying anymore. I feel sorry for you.

Nicole: I feel sorry for you.

Brady: Get out of here. Get out.

Nicole: No, Brady, please--

Brady: I don't want you in my life anymore. Did you not hear me? Get out! Go. Go.

Eric: I just don't understand. Why would Nicole possibly be in disguise, pretending to be another woman? It just doesn't make any sense.

Martha: No?

Eric: No. It has to be somebody else.

Kristen: Eric, it's Kristen. May I come in? From first steps...

Caroline: What did I say?

Sami: Nothing. Nothing.

Caroline: Well, even if I get confused sometimes, it doesn't mean you can put anything over on me, Samantha Brady.

Sami: Okay. Um, you just said that you had talked to grandpa Shawn last night.

Caroline: Well, I didn't. I-- he's been dead for five years.

Sami: And I'm sure you think out him all the time. I'm sure what you meant was that you just talked to him in your prayers last night.

Caroline: Yeah, I guess even with medication and therapy, I'm going to get confused. I just--I guess we just have to live with that. What were we talking about?

Sami: Oh. It wasn't important.

Caroline: When you change the subject, it means you don't want to talk about it.

Sami: Grandma... all I want to say right now is that I love you and that I don't know what I would do without you. [Sniffles]

Caroline: Oh, Sami. Sami. Mwah.

Cameron: [Clears throat]

Maxine: Dr. Davis. Just the man I wanted to see. Got a question for you.

Cameron: Yeah.

Maxine: I thought you said that Chad's surgeons couldn't use the haemostatic agents on him because of some treatment he was receiving, but it looks like Dr. Jonas went ahead and used it anyway.

Cameron: [Stammers] I thought that Chad was taking a drug that would contraindicate their usage, but it turns out that I was wrong.

Maxine: Oh. Mm, okay.

Cameron: Anyway, it's nothing to worry about now. [Clears throat]

Maxine: Well, glad to hear it.

Cameron: You're awake.

Chad: What was that about?

JJ: Hey, uh, uncle Justin...

Justin: Mm-hmm?

JJ: Thank you so much for what you did for me today, especially after--you know.

Justin: Well, it's not a done deal, you know, JJ. You heard what the judge said.

Hope: And I'm never going to see that handsome face around the station ever, ever again, correct?

JJ: Correct.

Hope: Correct. Okay. Unless, of course, you're stopping by to give aunt hope a hug and say hello.

JJ: Right.

Hope: I'm going to work now. Gotta go.

Jennifer: Okay, thank you so much for being here for all of us.

Hope: No need to thank me.

Justin: You know what? I gotta get to a deposition, so I'll go out with you.

Jennifer: Oh, I'll walk you out.

Hope: Okay.

Abigail: Bye.

Justin: Mind your Ps and Qs.

Hope: Bye.

Abigail: Thank you. Bye. Whew. It's been so quiet here without you, JJ.

JJ: Oh, yeah?

Abigail: Yeah. So I think we're gonna order pizza tonight, and maybe we could, I don't know, play some games or something--

JJ: No, hey, hey. Your boyfriend's at the hospital. Go be with him. Don't worry about me.

Abigail: No, JJ.

JJ: I'm good. I'm good.

Abigail: You sure?

JJ: Yeah.

Abigail: Thank you for understanding.

JJ: No problem. Hey, you know what? I love you, and I'm so glad you're okay. Really.

Abigail: I love you. And I'm so glad that you're home. This is good. I think this is gonna be like a brand-new start for our family.

[Indistinct chatter]

Marlena: Nicole?

Nicole: Hi. Thank you for meeting me.

Marlena: Yeah, w-what happened?

Nicole: Well, Kristen and Brady moved their wedding date up.

Marlena: Yes, I know. She couldn't help but gloat.

Nicole: It's worse than that.

Marlena: Okay, what?

Nicole: Well, when I heard the change of plans, a-all I could think about was, they're gonna get married before we could stop the wedding. So I was upset, and I went over to Brady's, and I--

Marlena: Oh. You what?

Nicole: I-I told him that Kristen cheated on him.

Marlena: Oh, my stars. Why would you do that?

Eric: Kristen, hi. Did you forget something?

Kristen: No, I'm just so excited about the wedding, I had to thank you again.

Eric: It's my pleasure.

Kristen: You know what? Um, the date opening up and then you giving us your blessing, I feel like after everything we've been through, God is at work in my life for the first time, I think, ever.

Martha: Why does she look so familiar?

Cameron: Maxine just had a question about your charts. [Clears throat] How you feeling? Any pain?

Chad: You know, don't you?

Cameron: What, that you may be a terminal liar, but you're not dying of a brain tumor? Yeah. Yeah, I know.

EJ: No, we have no plans to delay the wedding. Yes, I will let you know what Samantha says. Thank you.

Sami: What Samantha says about what?

EJ: That, my dear, was the caterer. They would like to know if you have finalized the designs for the ice sculptures. Ice sculptures.

Sami: Okay, maybe I got a little bit carried away.

EJ: I think it's possible.

Sami: [Laughs] How's Chad?

EJ: He is determined...

Sami: Whoa.

EJ: To be on his feet in record time.

Sami: Oh, that's great.

EJ: He's insisting we don't delay the wedding.

Sami: Uh, well, um, actually, I don't know. Maybe we should wait.

Kristen: Anyway, I don't want to keep you, so I'll let you get back to your work.

Eric: Well, take care. I'll see you soon.

Kristen: Okay, bye.

Martha: Who was that woman?

Eric: Kristen DiMera. Why?

Martha: No reason.

Nicole: I was so desperate. I-I thought he would listen to an old friend.

Marlena: Brady won't listen to anybody right now.

Nicole: Yes, I understand that. I didn't mention your name at all.

Marlena: That's good.

Nicole: Just promise me you won't ever give up.

Marlena: Of course I won't give up. But what if Brady decides to confront Kristen about this?

Nicole: No, he--he told me that he trusts her completely, that I'm the one that doesn't know what the truth is anymore. He's not gonna say anything.

Marlena: I hope that's true. Because we need every advantage, everything we can find, to stop this from happening.

Nicole: You know, this isn't a game, Marlena.

Marlena: I know it's not a game. I didn't mean-- I'm sorry. I know if we don't stop her, she will destroy Brady's life forever.

Kristen: Mm.

Brady: Mm.

Kristen: I have a question. Do you think EJ and Sami are gonna be jealous because we're going to beat them to the altar? I mean, not that it's a competition, but-- what's the matter? Brady.

Martha: Well, if I've answered all your questions--

Eric: Yes, for now.

Martha: Then I'll be going.

Eric: Well, I really appreciate your time. Thank you very much. [Sighs] There something else you want to tell me?

Martha: Father Eric, I'm ashamed to admit-- Fay Taylor offered me a bribe, and I took it, and then your friend Nicole, she did the same thing.

Eric: What?

Martha: It seemed like a crazy coincidence, two women in the same night. But if they were the same person--

Eric: Bribes for what?

Martha: Fay wanted this particular room. Wouldn't take no for an answer.

Eric: W-what room?

Martha: The one next to yours.

Chad: [Grunts]

Cameron: Lie down.

Chad: No, I need to explain.

Cameron: Calm down. Calm down, or you'll rip out your sutures.

Chad: You have to understand, the only reason I let you keep thinking I had a brain tumor you diagnosed was because--

Cameron: Was because you wanted Abigail, and you wanted to keep me the hell out of the way.

Chad: You told Abigail, didn't you?

Abigail: Told me what?

Jennifer: Hey.

JJ: Hey.

Jennifer: Uh, you're gonna need this.

JJ: Thank you. All right, I'll see you.

Jennifer: Wait, JJ. Where are you going?

JJ: Oh, I'm just--just going out. I'll be back, uh, sometime.

Jennifer: Wait, no. You heard what the judge said. You're not going anywhere.

JJ: Yes, I am.

Jennifer: No, JJ, please--

JJ: And you can't stop me, mom.

EJ: Wait for what?

Sami: Well, for your brother to get better. You know, so that we're not in dueling weddings with Brady and Kristen, and-- and what about Halloween? It's coming, you know, and here we are in the original haunted mansion. We should do something.

EJ: Samantha, in as long as I have known you, no one and nothing stop you from getting what you want. Unless you're just trying to find some way of saying that you don't want to marry me.

Eric: So Fay, she paid you, and--

Martha: I gave her the room. I'm sorry, father. George said you were staying next door and you shouldn't be disturbed, and-- oh, what have I done?

Eric: No, no, no, no. I--it's just that I don't understand. Why would--why would Nicole bribe you?

Martha: She said she was desperate to find you.

Eric: Well, if she didn't know where to find me, then she couldn't be Fay, right?

Martha: Unless she was trying to cover her tracks or--

Eric: Okay. Say that Nicole... was Fay. Why would she go through so much trouble just to get the room next to me?

Brady: Mm.

Kristen: Brady, what's wrong?

Brady: [Sighs] Nothing, nothing. [Stammers] I'm just-- I'm overwhelmed. I'm thinking about how much we have to do and how little time we have to do it in. We're crazy, you know that?

Kristen: Yeah, we are crazy.

Brady: The wedding is just one day. No big deal. I have the rest of my life to be the luckiest guy in the world.

Kristen: And you're not gonna be half as lucky as I am.

Brady: Love you.

Kristen: Mm.

[Soft country music playing]

Marlena: Well, I wish I'd realized that I had Kristen's flash drive.

Nicole: Now we'll never know what's on it. Kristen's goon probably destroyed it as soon as he stole it from you.

Marlena: I'm sure that's true. Well, there's no sense in dwelling on it. And for what it's worth, I'm sorry Brady cut you out of his life.

Nicole: Thank you. You probably thought I was the worst thing for him, huh? You know, I-I've said this before, but I swear, things can't get any worse than this, can they?

Martha: I'm sorry.

Eric: No, no, no. You know what? Thank you for coming. You know, for trying to help me. If you come up with anything else, then--

Martha: I'll call you. Oh. I just realized--the hotel room you had and the one next door to it, they shared an adjoining door. Anyway, good luck putting it all together.

Eric: Dear God. It wasn't a dream. It really happened... with Nicole.
