Episode #12152 ~ Victor gets Marlena to break up Brady and Kristen; Theresa pursues Daniel; Chad asks out Abigail.

Provided By Suzanne

JJ: What the hell?

Jennifer: JJ's outside.

Kayla: Ah, Dr. Davis. I was looking for you.

Cameron: Hey, I was just looking for a quiet place to go over my charts.

Kayla: Yeah, well, you found one. I wanted to know if you had an update on Chad DiMera's condition.

Abigail: Chad, are you here? "Introducing the abi-tini. Hope you like it."

Chad: So what do you think? I wanted to name the whole place after you, but I figured a drink would be the next best thing, assuming you like it.

Abigail: Uh... do I like it? It's the best abi-tini I've ever tasted.

Victor: I appreciate your stopping by.

Marlena: I know you're not thrilled about Justin representing Sami.

Victor: No, I'm not. But for your sake, I do hope that Sami gets exonerated.

Marlena: Thank you. And thank you for that. But you didn't invite me here just to talk about Sami.

Victor: No. I asked you here because I thought you would be a most excellent ally.

Marlena: Ooh. Against whom?

Victor: Kristen DiMera.

[Doorbell rings]

Kristen: [Gasps] Eric.

Eric: Hi. I'm--I'm sorry for dropping by unannounced, but you left this at the rectory. I want to make sure you have enough time to look over the scholarship application before our next interview. Kristen?

Abigail: Ooh. Are you going to join me?

Chad: No, not yet. I'm on the job still.

Abigail: Hmm.

Chad: But I did want to make a toast.

Abigail: Okay.

Chad: To your dad.

Abigail: [Sighs] To my dad.

Chad: I know it's been a hard day for you.

Abigail: It has, yeah. Can't believe it's already been a year. But the memorial was so beautiful.

Chad: Yep. I wish I could've been there. JJ and your mom doing okay?

Abigail: They seemed to be. At the memorial, I mean. But JJ... sometimes he's sweet and funny. And then, sometimes... losing my dad, the way he died, it, uh... it changed him a lot. And I don't know what I can do for him.

Chad: Well, it might be easier for him to speak to another guy, someone outside the family. You know, like me. [Laughs]

Abigail: You would do that?

Chad: I can't promise I'll get through to him, but--

Abigail: Even the fact that you would try-- thank you, Chad.

Jennifer: Okay--wait, no, you have to hide.

Daniel: Wha--what? No, no, no, no. No, I am not sneaking around.

Jennifer: Listen to me. JJ can't see you in here. You have to hide for me, please.

JJ: What are you doing here?

Theresa: Uh, I work here.

JJ: [Sighs] Do you have a minute to talk?

Theresa: I thought you didn't want to hear me from again.

JJ: Well, here you are. So can we go somewhere my mom won't see us together?

Theresa: Well, I hate to be late for work, but maybe just this one time. [Laughs]

Daniel: I work here. You work here. If my being within 20 feet of you is gonna be too tough for JJ to deal with, we have got bigger problems--

Jennifer: It's not. I just don't want him to think that I am lying to him. Just hold on. That's so weird. Uh, he wasn't out there.

Daniel: Huh. Great, great. Well, I guess I'd better get going anyway. You know, we wouldn't want anyone to get the wrong impression that you and I are actually back together.

Kristen: I just can't believe I left this. How stupid of me.

Eric: Well, you seemed a little bit upset earlier. Are you sure everything's okay?

Kristen: I'm fine.

Eric: Well, you still don't seem like yourself, and--

Kristen: Okay, you know, why don't you come on in? I--you deserve to know what's going on. Come on in for a second.

Cameron: [Sighs] Chad asked me not to discuss his case with anyone.

Kayla: Well, I don't think the rules of doctor-patient confidentiality apply to the other treating physician.

Cameron: [Sighs]

Kayla: Did you refer him to Dr. Malone or Dr. Yim?

Cameron: Neither. He said he wanted to find his own specialist.

Kayla: Well, that's understandable.

Cameron: Why do you say that?

Kayla: Because Abigail is my niece, you know. And Jennifer told me that there is some--some tension between you and Chad.

Cameron: Well, that's one way of putting it.

Kayla: Well, it's not really my concern. Did he tell you the name of the doctor he consulted?

Cameron: No. He didn't say much except...

Kayla: Except what? Oh, no. [Sighs]

Abigail: Wow. Chad, the renovations look amazing.

Chad: Well, now that everything's pretty much done, I should have a lot more time on my hands.

Abigail: Good, that's good. Actually, Chad, there's something that I wanted to talk to you about.

Chad: You know, it's funny, because there was something I wanted to talk to you about as well I was wondering if you wanted to be my date tonight for the grand opening.

Abigail: [Laughs] Your--a date?

Chad: Well, since Cameron's kind of been encouraging me to spend more time with you, I figured--

Abigail: Wait, he did? Wha--what did he say?

Chad: Just seemed like he wanted me to ask you out. But I-I didn't wanna do that if--if something happened between you two.

Abigail: When did you guys have this conversation?

Chad: Earlier today. I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you.

Abigail: No. You didn't.

Jennifer: Please. Okay, don't be angry with me. Listen, I think--I really think this could work if we're just careful.

Daniel: I--no, no, no, no. I don't wanna be careful. And I don't wanna hide my feelings for you. I don't wanna lie. I don't wanna sneak around.

Jennifer: I understand that. I just want you to know that JJ is doing better. And if you just give me a little bit more time--

Daniel: Oh, my God! No. No, no, no, no, no. No. I-I'm--my head's going to explode. In fact, I can't even have this conversation.

Jennifer: Can you please just wait?

Daniel: Okay.

Jennifer: No, okay, okay. I'm just gonna give you this. I have information for you for your photo shoot for the magazine article. And I was gonna mail it to you. But since you're here-- [Sighs]

Daniel: I guess this concludes our business. Good day, ms. Horton.

JJ: I was kind of a jerk earlier.

Theresa: Yeah, you were.

JJ: But so were you.

Theresa: [Sighs]

JJ: Look. If you need someone to hook you up, I'm your guy. But you're not gettin' the stuff for free. And I don't need the attitude either, especially about my mom.

Theresa: [Laughs] Neither do I. You think I need you, JJ? I've got a more age-appropriate friend, and he's got money and connections.

JJ: Here we go again.

Theresa: Oh, somebody's jealous.

JJ: Nope, I'm not. I was just trying to do you a favor, but the hell with it.

Theresa: God, that kid is such a pain in my--

Daniel: [Sighs]

Victor: The first person I wanted to call was john. And he's out of town on business, and who knows when he'll get back?

Marlena: Yes, I-I wouldn't know.

Victor: Then there's Maggie. But I don't think she has the capacity to get down and dirty.

Marlena: [Laughs] And you think I do?

Victor: If your family is threatened.

Marlena: You know that I-I love Brady like he's my own son. I'd do anything for him. But I don't think that I am any match for Kristen.

Victor: Oh, of course you are. You're the only one that could get through to him before. You got him to walk away from her.

Marlena: But it didn't last.

Victor: This time, it will. You stick with me, Marlena. And between the two of us, Kristen won't have a prayer.

Kristen: I want to apologize for my lack of professionalism earlier. I probably shouldn't have said that I would be on the scholarship board.

Eric: But you don't say no to the bishop.

Kristen: [Sighs] Exactly.

Eric: So what makes you think you shouldn't be doing this job?

Kristen: I don't know if you know this about me, but in another lifetime, I was actually a social worker.

Eric: Yes, I do.

Kristen: And I loved working with those kids. It--a lot's happened since then.

Eric: You were wonderful with Hayley. And I'm sure it brought back a lot of painful memories after speaking with her.

Kristen: Yeah. But it wasn't just about my childhood, you know. I had some dreams, and--

Eric: Starting your own family. Brady said you were thinking about adopting a child together.

Kristen: Yeah, that was, you know, before everything--

Eric: What's weighing on you, Kristen?

Kristen: Um... what's weighing on me is something that concerns both of us.

[Knock at door]

JJ: Hello.

Jennifer: Hey. Uh, did you just stop by a minute ago?

JJ: Yeah, yeah, but I had-- I had a call. So I'm back.

Jennifer: Oh, great. Well, it's--it's good to see you. What's up?

JJ: Yeah, um, I was just wondering if it was okay with you if I hang out with Bev tonight.

Jennifer: Yeah, that's fine. What are you planning on doing?

JJ: Yeah, I don't know. I just thought we'd, uh-- is-- this, um, this is Daniel's. He was--he was here?

Jennifer: Um, yes. We were going over our-- a press release.

JJ: Hmm, that all? I mean, did he happen to slip in a couple of nasty comments about me?

Jennifer: Why do you have to say things like that, JJ?

JJ: Mom, I saw him earlier when I dropped off a copy of the commendation for aunt Adrienne. It doesn't matter if I just came from dad's memorial. He's gotta take every chance he gets to tell me what a screw-up I am and how he's got his eye on me, you know?

Jennifer: JJ, can you please--

JJ: You know how it goes. You've heard it a million times. But things are so much better between you and me, right? Since 's not around to keep telling you what a jerk you raised for a son?

[Knock at door]

Daniel: [Sighs] Theresa. What--what are you--what are you doing here?

Theresa: I came to see you, of course.

Daniel: How do you even know where I live?

Theresa: Oh, well, you dropped this at the hospital.

Daniel: Of course I did. But yeah, you know, you didn't have come all the way--

Theresa: Oh, I know. I'm just very conscientious.

Daniel: Yeah, yeah, I can see that. Uh-uh.

Theresa: Comfy. I love your place. Doesn't really look like a bachelor pad, though. But you are a bachelor. I mean, I just assumed since I didn't really see a ring on your finger.

Daniel: Yeah. Well, if you're asking if I'm married, no, but--

Theresa: Oh, good to know. Well, in that case, how do you feel about maybe going out tonight and getting a few drinks? I mean, I'd love to make it up to you for dumping those amazing concert tickets. It was just--I felt so bad, you know? You were so nice about the whole thing.

Daniel: You know, that's okay, really, but--

Theresa: I know we're all busy. I mean, I'd have to cancel another date, but--

Daniel: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, hold it. Hold on, hold on.. Cancel? Cancel another date? Wait, do you mean--

Theresa: What? I don't mind.

Daniel: No, please don't get--well, I do. Because you and I, we're--we're not--we're not--we're not going out, get it? We're not--not a date. Not even-- not even close.

Kristen: I'm concerned about two people that we both care about. Do you want some coffee?

Eric: No, I'm fine. Thank you.

Kristen: Okay.

Eric: There are two?

Kristen: Yeah, two. Um, Sami and Brady.

Eric: You're worried about my sister.

Kristen: Yeah. I mean, between the two of us, if my father had anything to do with Sami's situation, I mean-- I just wish there was something I could do to help.

Eric: Well, you can pray.

Kristen: [Laughs] I could. I don't have much of a direct line between me and the guy or the gal upstairs, you know.

Eric: Oh, yes, you do. We all do. So what's this about Brady? I mean, I understand why the rest of us are worried, but why are you?

Kristen: Because today is the anniversary of Madison's death.

Eric: I know that. I meant to talk to him earlier, but I didn't have a chance.

Kristen: Oh. Well, I did. And he seems to be fine, but you never know.

Eric: Good. Well, is that all you're really worried about?

Kristen: Is that all? I think it's pretty big. And what else could there be?

Eric: Well, I thought you were going to say working with me, of course.

Kristen: What do you-- what do you mean?

Eric: Well, obviously, because of us working so closely together, and due to our family history, I--

Kristen: Oh, oh, that. I can handle that. I ain't going anywhere.

Victor: Marlena, don't you wish for the day when you can make Kristen wish that she'd gone straight to hell? Do not pass Salem.

Marlena: [Laughs] I do wish for that.

Victor: You can do that.

Marlena: Oh, can't--come on. I wouldn't even know where to start.

Victor: How many lies do you suppose Kristen is spinning right now? A dozen? A hundred? We only need to find one.

Marlena: All "we" have to find?

Victor: Well, consider me your silent partner. What is Kristen's greatest weakness? That's where we start.

[Door opens]

Kristen: Thank you so much for bringing the folder by.

Eric: It's not a problem.

Kristen: And, um, you were very nice to me. Didn't really expect it, I guess, but it is, well, part of your job, right?

Eric: Yeah, it's everybody's job.

Kristen: True.

Eric: You know, with Sami and EJ getting married, and then there's you and Brady, I guess we'll always be connected in every way.

Kristen: Yeah, in every way.

Eric: [Chuckles] Have a good day.

Kristen: Thank you. You too.

[Phone rings]

Jennifer: Hello?

Kristen: Hi. Could you please come over right now?

Cameron: Now, I don't know the type of tumor or the stage, but Chad indicated that it could be terminal.

Kayla: Oh, my God.

Cameron: Yeah.

Kayla: Does Abigail know?

Cameron: No. He doesn't want anyone to know, even his family.

Kayla: Well, that's a shame.

Cameron: Well, you know, I told him he needs their support, but I'm the last person he wants to listen to.

Kayla: Yeah. He needs to keep his spirits up and not feel alone in all this. I mean, that really could make the difference between whether he recovers or not.

Cameron: Believe me... I know.

Kayla: Oh... [Sighs]

Abigail: You know what, Chad? I would love to be your date tonight.

Chad: Great. So, uh, what did you want to talk to me about?

Abigail: Oh, um... I had to tell my mom about that video of Sami arguing with detective Bernardi before he died.

Chad: What'd she say?

Abigail: She was really upset at first, but...

Chad: [Sighs]

Abigail: Then she understood after a while. She had me see a lawyer right away, and he said that he thought everything would be okay.

Chad: Okay, well, that-- that's a relief.

Abigail: Yeah. I hope you're not mad that I told her.

Chad: No, no. I think you're brave.

We, uh, we finished the drink board artwork. You wanna take a look?

Chad: Yeah.

Abigail: Go, yes. I should let you get going so you can get ready for your big night. But if you pass out enough of these, no one's even gonna notice how great this place is.

Chad: Ah, well, I think they'll still notice you. Looking forward to our date.

Abigail: Me too.

Theresa: Wow, I-I didn't mean to offend you.

Daniel: Oh, you didn't offend me. Theresa, you're a very nice person. I just need to make things very, very clear, okay?

Theresa: That you're off the market.

Daniel: Right.

Theresa: So you're seeing someone?

Daniel: Hey, Theresa, nothing is gonna happen between you and me. That's--that's not even-- that's not even in the cards. But thank you. Thank you for coming by.

Theresa: No prob.

Daniel: And let's keep our contact limited to the hospital from now on, okay?

Theresa: Sure. Whatever. See you around.

Daniel: At the hospital.

Theresa: Mm-hmm.

Daniel: See ya.

Theresa: Wow. I'm losing my touch.

Marlena: I'm so glad the bishop chose to have you stay here.

Eric: Yeah, me too.

Marlena: Even if it means you have to work on the scholarship committee with Kristen.

Eric: You know, it's not so bad. It's only going to last for a little while, and, uh--

Marlena: And--and? And what?

Eric: You know, Kristen, she really loves those children.

Marlena: [Laughs] Oh, I thought I was hearing Brady for a second.

Eric: But--

Marlena: Br--Kristen cares about one thing. Kristen cares about Kristen.

Eric: Okay, mom--

Marlena: Listen, listen. Oh, my gosh, honey. This--this whole act, this nobility, this generosity, that isn't real. It's all an act. And she's doing it so she can ingratiate herself with you in order to spite me. So please, please don't let that happen.

Kristen: Thanks for coming.

Jennifer: Yeah, no problem. Did you take the test? And? Are you pregnant?

Abigail: Aunt Kayla, hi.

Kayla: Hi, baby. How are you?

Abigail: I'm good. Um, how are you?

Kayla: Good.

Abigail: Good. Do you know if Cameron is around?

Kayla: He just went on break.

Abigail: Oh. Okay.

Kayla: But I have a few minutes, if you want to talk.

Abigail: No, that's okay. I know you're probably busy.

Kayla: I am never too busy for you.

Abigail: Okay, well, um... I'm trying to figure something out, and I can't really talk to my mom about it. And, you know, I probably shouldn't talk to you about it either because--

Kayla: Because I work with Cameron. This is about Cameron and Chad, isn't it?

Chad: And once that's done, it's time to roll out the red carpet, grab a drink, and enjoy the party.

Mm, sounds good to me.

Chad: Yeah. Here. Cameron, what's up, man?

Cameron: Hey. Glad to see you so upbeat. Nice.

Chad: Why wouldn't I be?

Cameron: I mean, did you get some better news from the specialist, or-- huh?

Chad: Cameron. Uh, no. You have nothing to worry about, Cameron. I'm still dying.

Marlena: I can't bear the thought of you being in her thrall.

Eric: I'm not in her thrall, mom. I mean, I must say that I have enjoyed working with her because--

Marlena: [Inhales sharply]

Eric: Mom, I'm not trying to upset you. I know you have all the reasons in the world not to trust that woman. But I do think that Kristen is a little bit more complex than you realize.

Marlena: Oh--

[Phone rings]

Marlena: Honey, I'm sorry.

Eric: Yeah.

Marlena: I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Oh. Oh. Hello. No, no, no, it's fine. Go ahead. Oh, uh, n-no. No, I can do that. Okay, thanks. I'll be right there.

Eric: What's wrong?

Marlena: The very complex Kristen has... decreed that my grandchildren be banished from her presence at the moment because she wants to be alone.

Eric: Seriously?

Marlena: Yes. A--the twins are at a play date, and I've got to pick up Sydney because her nanny's running late.

Eric: Is there anything I can do?

Marlena: I think there is. Remember this. Hell will freeze over... before Kristen DiMera changes one little bit. And when all is said and done, she is the actual embodiment of evil.

Kristen: I'm not pregnant. I've been so stressed out. I guess that's why I was late. Come on, let's go sit.

Jennifer: So this is good news, right?

Kristen: Of course. If Brady ever found out that I'd been with somebody else when we were apart, it really would have been over for good.

Jennifer: But I do think that part of you was hoping, because I know how badly you--

Kristen: No, no, I gave up hoping a long time ago.

Jennifer: Kristen!

Kristen: I'm not one of those barren women in the Bible. [Laughs] No miracle baby for me. I dodged a bullet, so I guess it would be kind of crazy to be sad, right?

Jennifer: No. I don't think that's crazy. I don't think that's crazy at all. 'S just-y y

Abigail: I can't believe my mom told you everything.

Kayla: Don't be angry. Listen, she's just worried about you.

Abigail: I know. It's just--my mom thinks that it's such an easy decision. In her mind, Chad is a horrible person, but she doesn't even know him.

Kayla: You know what the truth is? It doesn't matter what your mother feels. The only thing that matters is how you feel.

Abigail: How I feel, I know.

Kayla: Right.

Abigail: I sort of made my decision earlier today.

Kayla: Mm-hmm?

Abigail: I had this great afternoon with Cameron, and I was going to tell Chad that I had decided. And then he said something that totally turned it upside-down.

Kayla: What did he say?

Cameron: Will you stop saying that? My God, I'm not counting down the days till you die. In fact, I want more than anything for you to be cured. I want you to beat this damn thing, and I would like to help, if only you would let me.

Chad: I appreciate your concern, but I don't want to talk about being sick. Especially not today.

Cameron: [Sighs] Fine. [Clears throat] We won't talk about it anymore. [Sighs]

Chad: The grand opening's tonight.

Cameron: I heard.

Chad: And Sonny and I have been dreaming about this for a long time. I'll be damned if I let anything screw it up for me.

Cameron: What, like telling your friends and family about what's going on with you?

Chad: Right.

Cameron: Hmm.

Chad: I'm not gonna do that. And neither are you. But you might be happy to know that I took your other advice.

Cameron: About what?

Chad: Spending more time with Abigail. She's gonna be my date tonight.

Rory: So you really think that Dr. Dan knows something?

JJ: I don't know, dude. E, he always has this same spiel about how I suck. It's just, this time it was different, man.

Rory: Huh.

JJ: I'm thinking that bitch friend of my mom's might have said something. But she doesn't know we're dealing, so--

Rory: Do you want to hold off restarting the biz?

JJ: No, no. We just gotta be super careful, right?

Rory: Always, bro.

JJ: See, right now, my mom is on my side, not Daniel's. Just gotta keep it that way. Yeah?

Rory: All right, let's go.

Theresa: We're def still on for tonight. P.S., Do I have to call you Vargas? Don't you have a real name?

Anne: Oh, hard at work as ever, I see.

Theresa: [Laughs] Yeah, well, my boss left early, so I have no idea what she wants me to do.

Anne: Oh, Jennifer left early? Well, quelle surprise! Well, listen, if she deigns to return, can you please tell her I left these for her?

Theresa: Sure. Oh, hey, um, quick question for you.

Anne: Oh, I mean, if it has to do with work--

Theresa: No, yeah, definitely not.

Anne: Oh.

Theresa: Dr. Jonas...

Anne: Uh-huh?

Theresa: Is he seeing someone, or what?

Anne: [Laughs] Are you s-- uh, yeah. Your--your boss.

Theresa: Jennifer? [Laughs] Are you freaking kidding me?

Eric: Hey, what's up?

Daniel: Oh, just checking in, seeing how you were, uh, how you're feeling.

Eric: I'm fine. I've been fine for weeks, actually. That the only reason why you stopped by?

Daniel: Uh, well, no. Not my best day. Just trying to keep busy. You know, keep my mind off things.

Eric: You still in conflict about Jennifer?

Daniel: Yeah, yeah, and I'm starting to think her son, JJ, is about to do something Chloe never could. Tear us apart forever.

Jennifer: You sure you don't want me to stay?

Kristen: I'm sure. I'm fine. And, again, I have to tell you what a great friend you are.

Jennifer: Well, so are you. Call me, okay?

Kristen: Okay.

Jennifer: Bye.

Kristen: Bye. No. No, I am not gonna cry over a stupid blue line. [Sighs] The future is mine. Mine and Brady's.

Abigail: I don't know what happened, but apparently, Cameron thinks that Chad and I should spend more time together.

Kayla: He told you that?

Abigail: He told Chad that.

Kayla: Huh.

Abigail: Yeah. You know, maybe he's just trying to let me down easy, right? I mean, maybe--maybe he's-- I mean--

Kayla: You know, maybe you need to stop putting pressure on yourself. You know?

Abigail: Yeah.

Kayla: And if you honestly don't know how you really feel about this, maybe you just need to wait a little longer, and, you know, the choice may present itself to you.

Abigail: Yeah, maybe you're right. Thank you.

Kayla: Oh.

Abigail: You're the best, aunt Kayla.

Kayla: No, anything for you, my baby, really.

Abigail: Thanks.

Cameron: Well, that's great. [Clears throat] I hope you and Abigail have a great time.

Chad: We will. And after the party, we plan to go back to my place and make love all night long.

Cameron: Hmm.

Chad: Right? You said you wanted us to spend more time together. [Laughs] I'm kidding.

Cameron: Hmm.

Chad: Yeah, no, at least I have an excuse. I mean, a brain tumor would affect a person's sense of humor, I'd imagine. But what's your excuse, Dr. Davis?

Cameron: [Chuckles awkwardly] I don't have one. I'm just humorless, I guess.

Chad: Okay.

Cameron: Yeah.

Chad: Well, don't be upset with me, all right? I'm just trying to give you a hard time.

Cameron: [Sighs]

Chad: I'm sick of you being so damn noble all the time. It's really getting old, you know that?

Cameron: Well, you know, I'll work on that.

Chad: Look, I know you're just--you're trying to be good to me. I get it. You're trying to help. But I don't need your help. Or anyone else's. 'Cause I'm fine. You see, I'm gonna be the guy who beats this thing. No matter what it takes.

Theresa: Wait, so how long have Jennifer and Daniel been dating?

Anne: Well, that depends on whether or not you count the breaks and the breakups and other sundry issues, but let's just say they've been on and off for quite a long time.

Theresa: Okay, okay, so are they on right now?

Anne: Oh, who the hell can tell? Honestly, it changes hour by hour. You know what, I mean, at this point, honey, I am so burnt out on the gossip about Daniel and Jennifer and their so-called love life, I'd rather talk about the debt crisis.

[Door slams]

Theresa: What? How did someone like her snag someone like him? Ugh. He'd seriously rather be with her? Salem is so screwed up.

Eric: How does JJ have Chloe beat? He hasn't absconded with parker to Venezuela, has he?

Daniel: Uh, no. No, I'm just starting to understand that a parent's love for his or her child is more powerful than, you know, just about anything. But you know what? Really, enough about that. I--are you sure you haven't had any relapses? No symptoms at all?

Eric: No. Not a one.

Daniel: All right, look, since mason couldn't find any evidence in that hotel room and we don't have anything left, we were going to drop the idea of finding out what caused your illness.

Eric: I guess we don't have a choice but to drop it.

Daniel: Unless you remember anything else about that night.

Eric: No, not at all. I mean, nothing specific.

Daniel: Okay, but anything-- anything non-specific?

Eric: I, uh... I know it's gonna sound strange, but-- I don't know. Sometimes I-- I get this very strange feeling of--of dread.

Daniel: What does that mean?

Eric: Like that something really, really awful happened that--that I almost don't even want to remember.

[Line trilling]

Jennifer: Hello?

Kristen: Hi. I'm sorry I keep bugging you.

Jennifer: Oh, no, that's okay. Is everything all right?

Kristen: Well, I forgot to tell you, but I'm sure you already know. You can't tell anybody about this pregnancy scare. Not even Daniel.

Jennifer: Uh, well, that won't be a problem because we're barely speaking at the moment.

Kristen: Well, I don't think that's gonna last that much longer, actually. But he might have questions about the pregnancy test that Nicole saw. If he does, you have to throw him off track.

Jennifer: Yeah. I-I promise you, I'll do whatever it takes.

Kristen: Thank you. I owe you big time. If Brady ever found out that I had sex with somebody else while we were apart, it would be all over except for the shouting.
