Episode #12115 ~ EJ works on bringing down Stefano; Adrienne argues with Justin; Will hears Sonny defending him.

Provided By Suzanne

Will: Three tomatoes.

[Knock at door]

Will: Oh.

Both: Bet that's my mom.

Will: I bet that's my mom. Well, it's your fault. They just can't get enough of you. I'm gonna get that.

Sonny: Okay. Ooh.

Sami: Hi.

Will: Howdy.

Sami: Hi, sweetheart.

Will: Hi, how's it going?

Sami: Good--oh, I like what you've done with the place.

Will: Thanks. I did it myself. Call it gay-parent contemporary.

Sonny: Lot of clean lines, disposable diapers. You want to say hi to grandma Sami?

Sami: Oh, I see. You love torturing me, don't you? Oh, my gosh, look at the little princess. Oh. You are more beautiful than you were yesterday.

Will: I agree.

Sami: Wow, I am so happy to be here. I just--I'm so happy to hold her, you know, one time before--

Will: Before what?

Sami: Um, oh, nothing. Nothing, I'm-- nothing to worry about.

Will: Okay, well, you know I'm gonna worry unless you tell me.

Sami: Uh, well, today I am going to be appearing before a grand jury, and they'll be deciding whether or not to indict me for Bernardi's murder.

Will: Oh, just that.

Sami: [Exhales] So...

Adrienne: Good, you're still here.

Justin: Not for long. I have a meeting with EJ and Sami before court.

Adrienne: Cancel it.

Justin: Oh, my God.

Adrienne: Justin, you can't take this case.

Justin: I already have. Honey, haven't we talked about this before?

Adrienne: No, this is different. This is not about how I feel about Sami.

Justin: How you feel about her? You hate her.

Adrienne: Listen to me. There is an important legal reason you can't take this case that even you can't argue with.

[Door slides open]

EJ: Justin, excellent. I'm glad you're here. I just wanted some conf-- Chad. Good to see you.

Chad: Yeah, well, we'll see about that. This the game Stefano was playing before he left?

EJ: I don't know, and I don't care. What is on your mind?

Chad: Not much. Coffee house is doing well. Cubs are the same as ever. Oh, yeah. I finally figured it out. That it was father who hired the guy that Sami shot, wasn't it? Better put it in the right place. You really don't want that man on your bad side, do you?

EJ: Look, Chad, I'm a little busy, so if you don't--

Chad: Oh, I'm not leaving. Not yet. Got some questions about his recent activities, and this time, I want some answers.

Anne: Wow, you surgeons are so good at masking your reactions. I just told you your girlfriend's son was arrested, and you're--you're looking like I said, "good morning."

Daniel: Arrested. Well, I don't know, Anne. Maybe I, uh, maybe I got a text.

Anne: Oh.

Daniel: No, no, nothing.

Anne: Well, I guess mom's a bit too distracted to be texting a whole lot.

[Chuckles] Tell me, doctor, Jennifer's son, the budding felon, what's he really like?

Jennifer: You were arrested for shoplifting?

JJ: Mom, it's all a mistake.

Abe: No, JJ. It's not.

EJ: Chad, this really isn't a good time, okay?

Chad: You want me to talk to you about my little theory, or maybe with someone down at the police station? That'd be great.

EJ: You don't have any proof, do you?

Chad: No. But I have a viable theory of the crime. So father may have kicked Kate out of his bed, out of his house, out of his life, but that didn't mean that he didn't still own her. And women that Stefano DiMera own do not hit the sheets with really good-looking, really young cops. Now, tell me if I am saying something that's out of character.

EJ: He's been known to be a little possessive, mm-hmm.

Chad: Hmm. That's why he was so weird when I tried to talk to him about Kate. Made the mistake of saying he seemed happy when they were married and pretty miserable since.

EJ: Well, he's never really been one to take advice.

Chad: And that night of the shooting, he came in the coffee shop, which is right around the corner from the hospital. He kept looking at his watch like he was waiting for something, which was right about the same time that cop went into Rafe's room with a weapon, according to Sami.

EJ: Okay, Chad, look. It's customary when somebody demands an answer to first ask a question.

Chad: Okay. Here's a question. Am I crazy?

EJ: Probably. But when it comes to father, you're right. About everything.

Justin: I love it when you explain the law to me.

Adrienne: [Sighs] Don't condescend to me. I'm looking out for you.

Justin: You're right. I'm sorry. Okay, what's the problem?

Adrienne: I think you have a clear conflict of interest here. Marge Bernardi, officer Bernardi's widow, she and I served on the board of the women's auxiliary for years together.

Justin: Okay, so you think you're such good friends that I shouldn't take Sami's case.

Adrienne: Exactly. It could hurt you.

Justin: Okay, Salem is not New York city. People's paths cross all the time. It's very easy to justify any apparent conflict.

Adrienne: [Sighs] Okay, you can justify a conflict of interest, but can you justify the fact that what you're doing is tearing this family apart?

Justin: I'm sorry. The only person tearing this family apart is you.

Will: Are you gonna be okay?

Sami: Um, I think so. EJ isn't worried, and Justin's not worried, so--so I'm not gonna worry either.

Will: Okay, listen. You're gonna be great. Just, um, you know, just tell the truth, but don't tell the whole truth.

Sami: [Laughs] Right, exactly. That's my mantra. But, um, you know, the video is the only chance they had at proving probable cause, so I'm really grateful to you, to all of you, for keeping it a secret.

Sonny: Yeah, I mean, I know that you're telling the truth about that night, so, you know, that you were just trying to protect Rafe.

Sami: That is the truth.

Sonny: Yeah.

Sami: I had no idea who that guy was, and all I knew was that I had to stop him from killing Rafe.

Daniel: So do you, um, you know what the charges are?

Anne: No.

Daniel: No?

Anne: No, but with that boy's record, you know, the possibilities are endless.

Daniel: Mm. Yeah. You know, Anne, you and I, we're gonna get something straight.

Anne: Oh, sure. What's up, doc?

Daniel: Well, what's up is that you, for some rotten, mean-spirited reason, want to blurt what you know about JJ to anyone who'll listen.

Anne: Oh--

Daniel: Yeah, you-- but, see, here's the thing. You're not really gonna do that. Understand?

Anne: Whoa. Tense much?

Daniel: Well, 'cause, see, here's what you're gonna do. You're gonna keep what you told me about JJ to yourself. Is that clear? Is...that... clear?

Abe: I heard you were back, JJ. Wish I were seeing you under better circumstances.

Jennifer: Abe, JJ said maybe there has been some kind of a mistake.

Abe: Well, if there is, we'll sort it out. I spoke to one of the arresting officers. It's a serious situation. JJ and some other kid were in a very nasty fight.

JJ: He was gonna hack up the tree, the Horton tree.

Abe: Well, unfortunately, that wasn't all. Now, the officers found some very expensive electronic equipment in JJ's backpack. The security tags were still attached. I spoke to a clerk at the store. They confirmed that JJ was in the store... t he hadn't bought anything.

JJ: Mom, I don't think they had the right to look in my backpack.

Jennifer: Do you think I care? What I care about is what you did and the fact that you didn't tell me any of this. Why not? Answer me!

JJ: I was going to tell you. Somewhere private.

Jennifer: Abe, do you think we could have some privacy so my son can tell me the whole story?

Abe: Sure.

Jennifer: This is about as private as it gets for people who have been arrested.

JJ: So you're, like, sure this is all my fault?

Jennifer: Tell me why I shouldn't think that.

JJ: Mom, I was just hanging out with some friends that I'd met at school, and then we went to the store, but then that-- that kid Cole, he wanted to borrow some notes, so he went into my backpack, and that must have been when he put the stuff in there.

Jennifer: You were supposed to come home right after school, remember? You were supposed to meet Cameron and deal with this whole prescription pad thing. Cameron was there. I was there. We were waiting for you, and you never showed up.

JJ: Okay. I'm sorry. I forgot.

Jennifer: I don't believe you.

JJ: You don't believe I forgot?

Jennifer: I don't believe anything you've said. I don't believe anything you say.

Anne: I'm sorry, doctor, but, uh, arrests are in fact a matter of public record.

Daniel: Oh, yeah, yeah, but you see, I think you're forgetting. 'Cause we had this private agreement.

Anne: Oh?

Daniel: Yeah, yeah, yeah, after you conspired with my ex-wife to screw with my life.

Anne: Oh, right.

Daniel: Yeah, right. See, I put you on notice to back the hell off. Or I would go to Mr. Burns and the hospital board and tell them what a vile, poisonous woman you really are. Anne, do you really want to be going looking for work in this economy with a board censure on your record?

Anne: No. No, I don't.

Daniel: No. You don't. But I'm glad we had this little chat.

Anne: No, no, I get it. You're lady Horton's white knight. You're gonna run off and protect her. But let me tell you something. If her son is going down the tubes, there's not a damn thing you can do about it, and that kid--I mean, can you spell downward spiral? Really.

Jennifer: Hi, this is Jennifer Horton. Leave a message, and I'll get back to you.

Abigail: Hey, Daniel. Uh, I was looking for my mom, and she wasn't in her office. Do you know where she is?

Daniel: Uh, yeah, I think I do.

Abigail: Okay.

Daniel: I heard something. Now, I don't know the whole story.

Abigail: Oh, God. What'd my brother do now?

Justin: I didn't mean that exactly how it came out.

Adrienne: Sure sounded like you did.

Justin: Adrienne, I am under a lot of pressure, and I know you mean well, but really, this obsession you have with Sami and will--it's driving Sonny away.

Adrienne: I think he's already gone.

Justin: [Sighs] I don't want you shut out when all of this is over, but that's what you're risking. Do you remember being Sonny's age? How would you feel if anyone challenged how you felt about me? I know how I reacted when anyone ever said anything negative about you.

Adrienne: Oh, come on, Victor did a lot more than talk.

Justin: Exactly.

Adrienne: [Sighs] And it only brought us closer together.

Justin: Let Sonny be. And just let it play out the way it's supposed to play out. [Chuckles] I gotta go.

Sami: I don't know. The one thing that I can't get past is why we haven't found that razor. I mean, I just have no idea what could've happened to it. In, like, three seconds, that room was flooded with people. Doctors, nurses, everyone trying to help Bernardi, and--and no one left. It seemed like more people came in, guards and cops and security guards. I mean--

Will: Maybe the cops are trying to cover for one of their own.

Sami: Right, but how would that look? Roman Brady's daughter on the witness stand, accusing the police force of railroading me? No, I mean, if they think I'm lying about the razor, they're gonna think I'm lying about everything.

Sonny: Well, not necessarily.

Sami: Why not?

Sonny: [Clears throat] 'Cause my dad always said that lying on the stand's a lot harder than you think. But conversely, people seem to know when someone's telling the truth. You know, you saw the razor blade. You saw Bernardi about to use it. So, you know, you're telling the truth. That's how it reads.

Sami: He's a keeper.

Will: Yeah.

Sonny: And one more thing-- my dad is very good at what he does. He's gonna get you through this.

Will: So there--there's something else?

Sami: Okay, sure. I know why you are keeping that video a secret. I can understand why Sonny wants to keep that video a secret. I don't understand why Chad is keeping it a secret.

EJ: I knew that it was Stefano as soon as Samantha told me she saw a knife. You know how he likes the punishment to fit the crime.

Chad: Well, that's really creepy.

EJ: Yes, well, welcome to my world.

Chad: Did Sami know Bernardi worked for Stefano? Is that why she went after him in the square?

EJ: I think it's better you don't know the details.

Chad: Okay, all right, well, let me ask you this. You know father was behind all this, Sami's facing a murder charge, and you don't say anything. He just gets away with it because you two have the same last name?

EJ: Who said anything about him getting away with it, Chad? Hmm? To use one of father's chess analogies, you have to stay a move ahead of the move ahead of the move, and at the moment, my priority is Samantha.

Chad: And if you drag Stefano into this, he'll make sure she takes the fall.

EJ: You catch on quick.

Chad: And your next move?

EJ: [Sighs] It's good to have a brother that I can share this with. Come here. Look, Chad, it's-- I've come to the conclusion that our father is a sadistic and malevolent bastard. I'm not going to let him get away with this. It won't be long until he's finished. The makers of one a day believe, as I do,

Daniel: Great, thank you. Yeah. Uh, I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but your mom and JJ are down at the police station. JJ got arrested for shoplifting.

Abigail: Oh, my God. That little-- I know that he's screwed up, but she doesn't need this right now, not with everything else. [Sighs] I better get down there. Are you coming?

Daniel: No, I'm not so sure your mom would want me there, and I know JJ wouldn't, so you--

Abigail: Okay, to hell with what JJ wants. She needs you. I know she does.

JJ: [Scoffs] That's great. Nice to hear from your mother that she doesn't believe a word you say.

Jennifer: Is that supposed to make me feel guilty? Because it doesn't. It was on the table. Nothing else could happen, JJ.

JJ: I didn't do anything. It was that kid.

Jennifer: You blew off your meeting with Cameron. You wasted his time because you wanted to hang out. And with your unerring instinct to screw things up, you hang out with a thief, and you break the law.

JJ: I didn't know the kid was a thief!

Jennifer: Just stop talking! Because no matter how you spin it, you're in a police station, and you have been arrested for shoplifting. And I am not overreacting. Let me tell you something. I am holding it together here.

Abe: Hey. You all right?

Jennifer: No, Abe, I'm not okay. Please tell me what is going to happen to my son.

Abe: [Sighs]

Sami: Mm. I have to meet EJ and Justin at the, um, at the courthouse before the hearing starts. Here you go, sweetie. Yeah. Thank you so much for letting me come by. I--

Will: You're welcome.

Sami: I feel better already.

Will: Okay. You want me to come with? You sure?

Sami: No, you don't have to come. I don't want you to cut class for me. But thank you for offering, and I'm sorry for barging in like this.

Sonny: No, any--anytime.

Sami: Thank you. Hey, have you set a date for the christening?

Will: No. We're gonna wait till, you know, uncle Eric is better, at least.

[Knock at door]

Sami: Oh, I think that's a good idea. He'll be so happy to do it.

Will: Yeah.

Adrienne: Hi.

Sonny: Hey, uh, it's not really a good time for you to--

Adrienne: No, I'm sorry, but it's important.

Chad: I haven't been a DiMera long enough to know exactly what that means. You're not talking about patricide here, are we?

EJ: No. Maybe I was being too emphatic. No, I mean he's getting sloppy, Chad. He's making mistakes. He's getting old.

Chad: Sami's wanted for murder, and he's on a beach somewhere. That doesn't sound like slipping to me.

EJ: Rafe's alive, isn't he?

Chad: Mm.

EJ: You're not the only person who knows that father was responsible for that attack. That's getting sloppy. It's also dangerous for the family, Chad. More than that, he's lost my support. And I don't think he ever quite appreciated how important my support has been.

Chad: Okay, note to self: Do not lose EJ's support.

EJ: [Laughs] Look, Chad, what you did, suppressing that video, you have a lot in your account. I don't forget something like that.

Justin: Hey, Chad. How are you holding up?

EJ: Excuse me?

Justin: Oh, Sonny tells me that Chad's working all these extra hours at the coffee shop so Sonny can spend more time with will and the baby.

EJ: Oh, that's lovely.

Chad: Well, I'll be going. Let me know when you have time for a match.

Justin: I seem to have interrupted something.

EJ: No, we were just talking about father.

Justin: Really?

EJ: You know, he's smarter than I give him credit for. So, Justin, make me happy. Put a smile on my face. A spring in my step. Tell me this is the day we take my father down. 3q it's happening now.

Abe: It's good. It's good he doesn't have a record. I talked to the store owner, and I made the case that it was a first offense and he was still dealing with the loss of his father. The store owner said that if he returned the merchandise, she wouldn't press charges, and I think I can convince the department to go easy. But... I have to be clear. What he did is very serious. And it cannot happen again.

Jennifer: No. Abe, thank you. Thank you.

Abe: Jen, um... grief... it's powerful. And unpredictable. I know he's a good kid.

Jennifer: No, Abe. Don't make excuses for him. Because that is exactly what I have been doing, and this is what happened. But it's gonna stop right now. We're going home, thanks to Abe. Give me that. Go.

Sonny: Mom, I'll, uh, I'll talk to you later, okay? I promise.

Sami: Oh, no, um, I actually have to leave anyway. I have a meeting with your dad, in fact, and he's doing a great job, by the way...Justin is. Even EJ says so, and he never says nice things about other lawyers, so, um, anyway, I'll just leave. Wish me luck.

Adrienne: No, Sami. Can I just say that I realize I haven't been fair about all this?

Sami: Really?

Adrienne: Really. I'm just sometimes overprotective when it comes to my son.

Sami: [Scoffs] And you think he needs protecting from me?

Will: Mom--

Adrienne: Why would I ever think that? Oh, let's see. Maybe because I became the lookout when you convinced my son to help you break into Victor's house. That was such a fun day.

Sonny: Mom, mom, she did not talk me into that, okay? If you want to be mad about what happened that night, you can be mad at me.

Adrienne: You know what? I'm sorry. I didn't come here to say that. I came here...[Sighs] To say I hope things go well for you this morning, and since Justin is convinced that you're innocent, I'm sure they will.

Sami: Well, thank you for that. [Clears throat] And for the record, you know, I can be overprotective too. Oops. I know you don't like having anything in common with me.

Sonny: Well, at least you tried to cover up how you really felt.

Adrienne: Look, honey, I don't want to talk about Sami. Please. I came here to apologize to will.

Daniel: So the charges were just dropped? You did that?

Abe: Well, it's a first offense.

Abigail: It was the first time he got arrested. It was not his first offense.

Daniel: So how is Jennifer?

Abe: Well, she's as angry as I've ever seen her.

JJ: All right, so you're not even going to talk to me?

Jennifer: I am not really sure I could control my feelings right now, JJ.

JJ: Mom, I'm really sorry. I feel awful. I know I wasn't honest with you.

Jennifer: Yeah, I noticed.

JJ: Look, I was ashamed to tell you that I took that stuff. But it wasn't my idea. Even though I let that creep Cole talk me into it, I-I knew it was wrong.

Jennifer: You know what? You have everything you want and need. Stealing, really? Why, JJ?

JJ: When I was in the police station, I had a lot of time to think. And I asked myself what you just asked me--why? And then I realized that I was thinking about dad, and that's--

Jennifer: Whoa, no, no. Don't you dare. Don't you dare use your father as an excuse again.

Justin: I can't believe you have been able to coordinate all this with everything that's going on in your life.

EJ: Oh, please. If you can't juggle a coup and a grand jury investigation, you don't deserve to call yourself a DiMera. So today is the day that son of a bitch learns just how much I am his son.

Justin: You seem to hate him even more than before.

EJ: After what he's put Samantha through-- speaking of which, have you gotten any word about the charges yet?

Justin: Yes. I need to tell you. The D.A. Has decided to charge Sami with murder.

Sami: What?

Jennifer: I have had it up to here with your excuses. And for you to use your father, that makes me--that makes me sick! Your father would be so ashamed of what you have done. And I am not just talking about today. Because you say you're sorry, and you wring your hands, and I let whatever it is go, JJ, until you fling it right back in my face again with the next nasty thing that you do. And it keeps getting worse and worse, and what I want to do-- you need to go to your room, and you need to think about what you have done.

JJ: Mom--

Jennifer: You need to think about being a man. Go!

Will: Um... Mrs. Kiriakis, you don't have to apologize. I'm aware of what Sonny's been through because of me.

Sonny: I don't like this conversation.

Will: That's okay. It's over. I'm just gonna give little Ari attention of the diaper variety.

Adrienne: I'm sorry I said the wrong thing. I honestly just came here to smooth things over. I didn't know Sami was gonna be here, and... God, that woman pushes my buttons. I'm sorry.

Sonny: You know, she's-- she's not a passive person.

Adrienne: No.

Sonny: Like someone else I know.

Adrienne: Okay, bottom line here...I take the blame for everything. I will join the Sami Brady fan club if that's what it takes to end this tension between us, because, baby...[Exhales] All I care about is you.

Sonny: I know. And I'm with will. And that bothers you.

Adrienne: Can you cut me just a little bit of slack here, please? I'm not the only person who has a problem with Sami. Look, you saw me. I was t--I was trying, and then she comes out with, "what, you think your son needs protection from me?"

Sonny: You're right, okay? She--she can make things tough sometimes.

Adrienne: Yes. Yes. Look, I admit I was wrong about the shooting thing. I mean, Sami must be telling the truth because she doesn't have any motive to hurt that man. She didn't even know him.

Sonny: Right, yeah.

Adrienne: Is there something you're not telling me?

Sonny: No. I am going to tell you what I've told you before. I love will. I love this little girl. And I have never been happier in my entire life. Mom, will came by the coffee house with Arianna the other day, and my heart just turned over. I said, look at my life. Look what I have. This is the real thing. And the only thing that can make it better is if you were happy for me. I love you. I want--just be happy for me.

Sami: Did you say murder?

EJ: That is outrageous!

Justin: It might not be as bad as it sounds.

Sami: Well, how could it be worse?

Justin: Well, it may work in our behalf. I think that the D.A. Is overreaching because Bernardi is a cop, a hero.

EJ: Right, and she'll get a lot of publicity for this.

Justin: But it's a mistake. Look, I have been over this case from top to bottom, and I think, at worst, the charge should be involuntary manslaughter. Even if they never find a weapon, she has absolutely no motive for why you did what you did. So all you need to do is just tell the truth. Be consistent, and stick to your statement that you gave the police. The D.A. Is gonna be tough. She may try to trip you up. But don't let her get you to say anything you haven't already told the police.

Sami: [Sighs]

Justin: Look, I have to file some papers. I'll meet you at court. Don't worry.

Sami: [Laughs]

Justin: Everything's gonna be fine.

Sami: What do you think? Is everything gonna be fine?

Abigail: Mom, where are you? I don't understand. Her car is here. Where could they be?

Daniel: I don't know. [Murmurs] Hey. Jennifer, I--

Jennifer: No, no. Uh-- you know about JJ, don't you?

Daniel: I do, yeah.

Jennifer: Did you come here to say I told you so?

Daniel: No, Jen--

Jennifer: Because I can't even stomach that right now. I can't. Just go, please. Just go.

Abigail: Really, JJ? Shoplifting? What the hell were you thinking?

JJ: I need you to shut up, Abigail. I don't need a lecture from you too.

Abigail: Oh, okay, fine. But good luck dealing with mom, because you really blew it this time.

JJ: For once, you're right. This is all I need.

EJ: Come here. Everything is going to be fine. Okay? You just need to do what Justin said. You stick to your story, and you keep it simple.

Sami: Tell the truth.

Both: Just not the...

EJ: Whole truth.

Sami: Whole truth.

EJ: This'll be over soon.

Sami: I hope you're right. Hey, you know, maybe it will all work out. Even Adrienne thinks I'm innocent.

EJ: Really?

Sami: I saw her at will and Sonny's earlier.

EJ: Mm-hmm.

Sami: They're so cute together. Cute little family. They're so happy, and I really don't want this business to ruin that for them. I mean, if Stefano...

EJ: Hey, shh.

Sami: Gets Bernardi--

EJ: Samantha, do not worry about Stefano, please. I'll take care of him too.

Sami: Okay. I trust you.

EJ: I love you too.

Sami: [Laughs] [Sighs] I'm gonna go visit my grandmother. I know, it's my superstitious Irish heritage, but I just want to give her a hug, you know?

EJ: Good. Well, you go and give your lucky charm a hug. I have some business to finish off here, and then, uh, I'll meet you at the grand jury room. Okay? Hey. It's okay.

Sami: Okay. I will see you there, Mr. DiMera.

EJ: I suppose this is also the last day she needs to worry about you because you... can do nothing.

Adrienne: You know, if you ever need a sitter, I do have references. I love you. Things are gonna be better for all of us. I promise.

Sonny: Okay.

Adrienne: Mm. Walk me out?

Sonny: Yeah, I'll walk you out.

Adrienne: Love you.

[Door shuts]

Sonny: [Groans] Sorry about that.

Will: Sorry for what? Sorry that she's right?

Sonny: No, she's not right.

Will: No? You sure?

Sonny: Mm-hmm.

Will: Okay, I mean, you did break into Nick's room, and you're suppressing evidence in a grand jury investigation. She has a point. I mean, being with me doesn't exactly provide you with domestic tranquility.

Sonny: Hey, knock it off.

Will: Ow!

Sonny: All right, don't denigrate a relationship that means the world to me.

Will: Listen, I, um, just happened to overhear the, uh, things that you said to your mom about me.

Sonny: And you do know that I wasn't just saying that to get her to back off. I really meant what I said.

Will: Well, you better.

Sonny: Mm-hmm.

Jennifer: I mean it. I can't, I can't. I can't take this anymore. I really can't.

Daniel: It's okay.

Jennifer: [Sobbing]

Daniel: It's okay.

JJ: Well, now I know how to get out of this. And I'm gonna use Dr. Daniel to do it. Thank you, doctor.

Timmy: Daddy.

[Footsteps approach]

Marge: Dylan, can you watch Timmy for a minute? I want to talk to you.

EJ: Yes, I'm just calling to remind you that I am counting on your support and to reassure you that you won't regret it. Good. The end is near, old man. After today, you will be finished. For good.
