Episode #12105 ~ Stefano leaves town; Daniel sides with Jennifer against Anne.
Provided By Suzanne
Daniel: Okay, you almost got that puzzle done, buddy, keep going. Ah, Joanna, hey.
Daniel: Morning. Yeah, well, I just said good-bye to parker. He's doing a puzzle.
Joanna: Oh, he loves those.
Daniel: Yeah. Okay, sorry, I'm just running late. Busy, busy day today.
Joanna: I'll bet your friend Jennifer has her hands full.
Daniel: Why? What do you mean?
Joanna: Oh, didn't you see?
But why weren't we given any details last night about the shooting?
There's nothing about why she shot him.
Jennifer: No, I realize that.
Do you know what type of gun was used?
Jennifer: Could you just let me finish? Please just let me finish speaking. I realize the report you got last night, it was incomplete. We had very little information at the time.
We had to get stuff from nurses coming off duty.
Jennifer: I realize that. And again, I apologize. What I'm trying to do right now--my goal is to get you up to speed, all right? So I'm telling you. The shooter, yes, was Samantha Brady, police commissioner Roman Brady's daughter. The victim was a detective with the Salem P.D. Named Joseph Bernardi.
Anne: You know what to do.
Flynn: Yeah! Nice!
Flynn: Oh, yeah. Juicy.
Jennifer: Killed by a single gunshot...
Anne: Okay, go. Go, go, go, go.
Jennifer: Emergency surgery was performed in an attempt to save his life.
Flynn: , Wait a minute. Hey, how come all you wanna talk about is the dead cop? What about the shooter?
Jennifer: Excuse me, I will talk about ms. Brady in a few--
Flynn: Isn't it true that you didn't release any details last night because you were trying to cover up for your friends and family?
Flynn: Your brother is married to the shooter, right?
Jennifer: No, he isn't. He-- that is not even relevant to what happened last night.
Flynn: Why don't you just tell the truth, okay? Why keep trying to cover things up?
Rory: Man, if we'd have known that we'd sell the whole stash on the first day, we could've bought, like, ten times as much.
JJ: But with what, dude? We used every dime we had. How could we have bought more?
Rory: I don't know. Like, take out a loan.
JJ: Hey, Abigail.
Abigail: Hi. Who's he? And why aren't you in school?
John: Hey, Roman.
John: Not many facts in the paper here. Samantha okay?
Roman: Well, she's in jail, so...far from okay.
John: Anything I can do?
Roman: You mean that?
John: Just name it.
Roman: Stay the hell away from her mother.
Marlena: I couldn't even hold her--my own daughter. I tried to hold her hand, and they made me step back.
Eric: Mom. Mom, you know that jails have strict rules when it comes to visitors.
Marlena: You know, she is worried sick about her children.
Eric: EJ has them. They're fine.
Marlena: Did you see the police? Honey, I think they want her dead.
Eric: No, no, no, no. Mom, come on. It's gonna be okay, all right? Everything is gonna change when they find that weapon. Sami is going to make it through this. I'm gonna cancel my trip, and I am going to be with you and Sami every step of the way, okay?
Nicole: Ta-da! The Goddess of amusement and good times is here. So have all these things planned to help you keep your mind off of-- [Clears throat] Well... you really know how to make a girl feel special. What is so interesting in there? Oh, my God. Sami's done it again.
Kristen: Father. Did you hear about Sami? Oh, what am I thinking? Of course you heard about Sami. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
Kristen: Murder. Sometimes when you have a problem, it's the only solution.
Roman: Marlena's got enough on her plate dealing with Sami's problems. She doesn't need to deal with the crap you're pulling.
John: Whoa, whoa, whoa, Roman.
Roman: John. I can see the pain in her eyes every time I mention your name. So why don't you do everybody a favor and pull one of your disappearing acts?
John: You know, if Samantha's in serious trouble, doc's gonna need me to help get through this.
Roman: Oh, right, she's gonna need your help? Has she called you, texted you? No, I didn't think so. John, you take care of your family, I'll take care of mine.
John: Doc is my family.
Roman: I don't think so. Not anymore.
Marlena: No, Eric, you may not cancel your trip to the capitol. You can't do it. The school is depending--
Eric: Mom! Listen to yourself. You can hardly speak.
Eric: The school is gonna work out, or it won't. My family is far more important than some project, and I am not leaving you or Sami.
Marlena: No. No!
Kristen: Oh, don't pay any attention to me. I've been up since 3:00 A.M. A little spaced out.
Stefano: Uh-huh. Having a little trouble sleeping?
Kristen: Yeah, I keep having this dream, you know, that I'm having a wedding, and somebody keeps yanking it out from under me. Can you imagine? You know, I was thinking about it. If these charges against Sami stick, then EJ's wedding's gonna be canceled too, and that's gonna save you a lot of money. See, I can always find the positive in any given situation.
Stefano: Listen, sweetheart. Listen to me, will you, please? You cannot make bad things go away by making jokes and laughing.
Kristen: Mm-mm. No bad things. No bad things. No sad memories. I've moved on.
Stefano: All right, fine. Tell me just what your plans are. ~
Jennifer: That is not true.
Flynn: Your brother and Sami Brady have a child together, right?
Jennifer: No, they-- would you just listen to me?
Why weren't we told this?
Jennifer: My brother and ms. Brady were married a very long time ago, and I am not trying to cover anything up.
Flynn: The hospital chief of staff is your sister-in-law, right? In fact, you got the job because you're related to Dr. Brady, right?
Jennifer: Oh, for pity's sake, really?
Flynn: Is she the one who's telling you to hide the facts?
Jennifer: There is no attempt to-- you know what, doctors and nurses are working here. They do not need to contend with this circus, so the rest of this meeting will take place in my office. Anything you would like to say, Anne?
Anne: Um...good luck?
Flynn: How am I doing?
Anne: Keep pounding. You're getting to her. You just make it crystal clear that she is not qualified for the job and needs to step down.
Flynn: Oh, but, Anne... who ever would take her place?
JJ: Whoa! Chill. 'Re not in school cause there isn't any, okay?
Abigail: Excuse me?
JJ: The teachers just pass out a syllabus and send you home. First day.
Abigail: Well, JJ, you haven't introduced me to your friend here.
JJ: Oh, yeah, this is Rory. He's in some of my classes. Rory, my sister Abigail.
Rory: It's nice to meet you. Finally. I wish your brother had had us meet before.
Rory: Uh, because... I-I guess... it would've been cool. [Chuckles]
Abigail: JJ, summer school is quick and intensive. No way teachers would send you home and lose a day.
JJ: Oh, my God. Are you calling me a liar?
Kristen: Oh, father, how am I moving on? Let me count the ways. But first of all, enough about me. What about you? I wanna hear about you. And that suitcase. Going someplace? Let me guess, you heard about Sami, and you wanna be anywhere but here, right? Yes? No? Okay, I guess you don't wanna tell me. So wherever you're going, if you end up being incommunicado, did you make that phone call I asked you to make?
Stefano: [Heavy sigh] Let me ask you something. I mean, do you really want this d--him here?
Kristen: Yes, I want. I want. I want.
Marlena: Eric... I am not going to fall apart. I'm not.
Eric: You've been through a lot, mom.
Marlena: It isn't about me. It's about my daughter. And you know there are times in her life when I simply could not be there for her. She needs me now. I will be there for her... as her mother.
Eric: Well, let's go back to the basics, okay? Your schedule--is it in your phone?
Marlena: Oh! Yes.
Eric: I think I should call your patients and just cancel some appointments.
Marlena: Okay. Thanks for doing that. You know, um-- you know that I'm terrified for Sami. And the really odd, odd part is that the feeling is so familiar. She was always such a daredevil.
Marlena: She would risk anything.
Eric: Yeah, her life definitely has some drama.
Marlena: But do you know what is new to me? This. You... listening, comforting... taking the lead. I hope you know that you are indispensable. Absolutely indispensable.
Nicole: Sami shot a cop and killed him?
Nicole: I mean, it's not like her to have such good aim. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. It's just there's not a lot of information in here.
Brady: [Sighs] That paper goes to bed about midnight.
Nicole: I wonder if she had a good reason for-- maybe she was just trying to keep in practice, I don't know.
Brady: Nic, will you please-- will you stop, please?
Nicole: I'm sorry. I'm sorry, okay? I know this is really bad, right?
Brady: Yeah, this is really bad. Roman was extremely tight-lipped about it, but I-- it's bad. And I can't stay here. I gotta go. I gotta go down to the jail, and I gotta talk to her and let her know that...I'm in her corner. So I'm gonna get my wallet.
Brady: I'll walk you out, all right?
Nicole: Yeah. Oh, my God, Eric must be a wreck.
Anne: Oh, believe me, Jennifer is in hot water this time. Those reporters are out for blood. Yeah, but hey, you know, she-- she deserves what she gets.
Jennifer: Everything that we had was released as soon as it could be confirmed, so the fact that any of it was incomplete--
Flynn: Incomplete? Everything we got was out of date before we could even read it. I mean, what is this, a cover-up of the cover-up?
Jennifer: Would you let me finish my statement, please?
Flynn: Would you answer my question, please? Did your sister-in-law, the chief of staff, ask you to do this cover-up?
Jennifer: There is no cover-up.
Flynn: Well, the hospital's on the hook for negligence for the shooting, right? Is that why she asked you to do it?
Is that true?
If there is a cover-up, why haven't you made this information public?
Jennifer: Excuse me, are you questioning my personal integrity?
JJ: My own sister doesn't believe me.
Abigail: Aww, poor JJ. Nobody believes his lame little lies, not even his own flesh and blood.
JJ: God, do you-- do you not even care that this is embarrassing to me?
Abigail: Oh, my God!
JJ: Calling me a liar in front of my friend.
Abigail: JJ, get over it.
Rory: Whoa, don't be embarrassed on my account. I mean, I don't judge, you know?
Rory: I mean, look, if your sister's upset with you, then hey, that happens, right? I mean...if she thinks that you should be in school, then--
JJ: Would you just shut up?
Rory: Whoa! I'm just trying to be nice, man. What's your problem?
JJ: My problem is that you're trying to impress my sister, but all you're doing is being a jerk.
Abigail: You know what, JJ? You're both being jerks, okay? You should be in school, not sitting around here like a bunch of losers.
JJ: Hold on, and you're acting like you have the right to judge me? You're not my mother, Abigail.
Abigail: No, I'm not, thank God.
JJ: [Scoffs] You know what? You think we're cutting classes or whatever? Call the school and ask. But I hope you know that when you're done, you're gonna owe me and Rory a huge apology.
Abigail: Fine, JJ, I will call the school.
JJ: Fine, go ahead.
Abigail: You know what, on second thought, since I'm not your mother and since it's your life to screw up--both of your lives--I'm gonna stay out of this one. If you wanna be stupid and ignorant and blow your chances at any decent future, then go for it. Knock yourselves out.
JJ: Mm, thanks, Abigail. You know, it's really great to know that I can always count on you to make me feel worse about everything.
Abigail: Okay. That's right, JJ. Blame it all on me, right? Play the victim. You're cutting classes, but I am the evil sister who's making you feel bad.
[Knocking on door]
Abigail: Seriously, who cares? Just hang around here all day. It's not my problem.
JJ: The door knock--
Abigail: Yeah, I get it, JJ.
Cameron: Hey, got a minute?
Abigail: Yeah, come in.
Cameron: Thank you.
JJ: Hey, Cameron. Um, we're just going to get supplies for our classes. So, um, see you later.
Abigail: Bye, JJ!
JJ: Love you too. Come on, dude.
Rory: Dude, that was so crazy.
JJ: Yeah, no kidding. Especially when you started rambling on like you just smoked ten joints.
Rory: I--man, I'm just trying to make the peace, you know?
JJ: Really? Really? 'Cause you didn't exactly succeed, man, in case you didn't notice.
Rory: Well, I mean, it could've gone a lot worse. I mean, at least she didn't call the school.
JJ: [Sighs] Yeah. God, we would've been so screwed if she did.
Rory: That was really nice of her.
JJ: What--what? Dude, she called us losers. She said that we're stupid and ignorant.
Rory: No, she didn't. She said that if we wanted to be stupid and ignorant, she wouldn't stop us.
JJ: Oh, my God. You're hot for her.
Rory: [Scoffs] No! I mean, she is really good-looking and all, but--
JJ: But what? Grow a brain, dude. She's my sister.
Rory: Yeah, so? She's not my sister.
JJ: All right, look. Can we get off the subject of my sister and whose sister she is and focus? Look, man, the money that we got today wasn't enough. We're still doing Nickel and dime. We need a big score.
Rory: What about that Dr. Jonas dude? We could rip him off.
Cameron: And that--that other guy?
Abigail: Oh, Rory... something.
Cameron: Ah. They obviously got you pretty frazzled.
Abigail: Forget about it. It's just...you know, family stuff.
Abigail: I'm glad you came by.
Cameron: That's always good to hear.
Abigail: It's always nice to see you smile. I hope that this means you're still okay with me going to that amusement park with Chad.
Cameron: Sure. Go for it. I just swung by 'cause of all that stuff going on down at the hospital.
Abigail: What do you mean? What stuff?
Jennifer: Okay. If any of you wanna question my integrity, I demand that you tell me one time--one time-- when I lied to any of you. Sine I have taken over public relations at this hospital, I have been above board with all of you, 24/7. I have made myself available to you at all hours when you were facing deadlines, right?
Flynn: What about last night?
Jennifer: What paper do you write for?
Flynn: Answer my question, will ya?
Stop being such a tool. Who do you work for?
Flynn: I'm freelance. [Laughs] Unemployed.
Blogs from his parents' basement.
Flynn: Hey, every one of my questions was as legitimate as you guys'.
Jennifer: Will you just listen to me, please? This is what I have for you right now, all right? I have a series of quotes from some of the staff, a medical explanation of the cause of death, and a timeline of events. And like I said, if any of you are on a tight schedule, just call me. I can flesh this out with you, all right? But again, I'll have another press release by 10:00 or 11:00, so you'll be all set for the noon news. Again, thank you for coming by, and sorry about last night. [Sighs]
Daniel: Wow. When a lady takes charge--
Jennifer: [Grunts] I was so angry!
Daniel: Yeah. Yeah, that was pretty clear there. And you certainly put that guy in his place. I mean, you did that perfectly.
Jennifer: Well, I have a feeling I know who was feeding him his questions. That completely blindsided me.
Daniel: I know. I was blindsided myself when I saw the paper this morning.
Jennifer: What does that mean?
Jennifer: I mean, should I have called you? Does chief of surgery demand a heads up too? I mean, really, I have been up all night, and I have all the information I need. And I need to go write another press release. Excuse me.
Daniel: Yeah. Yeah, and the phone, it's gonna start ringing nonstop.
Jennifer: Yeah, they will be.
Daniel: You can't really work from home. They have your number there.
Jennifer: Yes, they do.
Daniel: You need some peace and quiet... I know where you can get it.
Stefano: Yes, I did call him, and he said he would be here soon.
Kristen: Thank you.
Kristen: I know that look. You think I'm heading into deep water. I know how to swim. Well, don't let me keep you. Don't worry, I didn't see you here this morning if it happens to come up. Have a nice trip...
Kristen: Wherever you're going.
Kristen: Ciao. Oh, I'll be fine. Thanks for asking. [Sighs] In fact, if you made that phone call, I'm gonna be better than fine. I'm gonna be perfect. What if you could finally love your fine hair?
Abigail: Okay, well, please call me if you need anything at all. Okay, bye. Oh, my God, this is so awful. Poor will is lying in the hospital right now while his mom is being arrested for murder.
Cameron: Well, you know, I didn't mean to put it on you like that. I assumed you already knew.
Abigail: No, it's okay. Oh, my g--my mom is probably going absolutely nuts right now.
Cameron: Yeah, it's a tough day to be the P.R. Rep, but she's good. She'll handle it. Okay, well, I'll let you get back to whatever.
Abigail: Whoa, whoa, wait. You're just gonna run off on me like that?
Cameron: Uh, you're hanging out with Chad, aren't you?
Abigail: Oh, no. I doubt it. I mean, EJ's bound to be in the middle of this whole thing with Sami, which means that Chad is in the middle, which means that he'll probably call to cancel.
Cameron: You're kidding, right?
Abigail: About what?
Cameron: Abigail, Chad has an agenda, and he'll work it no matter what.
Abigail: What agenda?
JJ: Dude, there is no way we can rip off Dr. Jonas.
Rory: Why not?
JJ: Because he already nailed me for trashing his car, and he almost talked my mom into believing it too. You know what, as a matter of fact, I should do something about that. Yeah, come on.
Jennifer: Thank you. Oh, hey.
Jennifer: Uh, that's for you.
Daniel: Uh, "I'm taking parker down to the playground for a while. Joanna." Good, this is good. It's good. So, yeah, you'll have, you know, total peace and quiet.
Jennifer: And, uh, you have more surgery today though, right?
Daniel: Yeah, Kayla canceled all non-emergency stuff until things get back to normal. And you can work right there. And once I get out of my scrubs, I am gonna make you some coffee.
Jennifer: Okay, thank you.
Daniel: All right, good.
Jennifer: Listen, this is, um--this is really very considerate of you.
Daniel: I'm just glad for the chance.
Jennifer: The chance for what?
Daniel: To prove that we can get through anything.
Jennifer: Okay. [Exhales]
Roman: Okay. Eric, you gotta go.
Marlena: And if you don't go to the capitol, the school will not open.
Eric: Yeah, but Sami--she needs all the support she can get.
Roman: I'll take care of Sami.
Eric: Dad, you can't do anything as a commissioner, or you're gonna get--
Roman: I know, I know. Conflict of interest. Don't worry about it. I'll handle it.
Marlena: And Sami would not want the school to be sacrificed because of her problems.
Nicole: Hey. I came as soon as I heard. What happened? Did Sami really do what they're saying?
Roman: All right, listen. I got fires to put out at the station. My phone's on, anything you need, okay?
Eric: Thanks, dad.
Marlena: I'm gonna go with you, Roman. I'll give you some time to update Nicole. But I will check in.
Eric: Okay. Thanks, mom.
Nicole: Hey. You look exhausted.
Eric: I'm fine.
Nicole: Really? From the minute you heard, you started taking care of other people. Am I right? Come on, father. You need to start thinking about yourself.
Eric: You know, if you could've seen my sister... locked up, scared. I mean, alone.
Nicole: I know. I know.
John: Hey, kid. I assume you heard. I'm heading over to see Sami right now. If you want, we can go together.
Brady: No, go toget-- you wanna go together? Don't waste your time, dad. They wouldn't even let me in.
John: Oh, that's too bad. Buy you a cup of coffee? Oh, come on, kid. We gotta sit down and hash this out.
Brady: No, I said don't waste your time.
Kristen: Finally he's here. Harold! I've got it!
Marlena: Oh, Harold, I--
Kristen: [Groans] What a wonderful surprise.
Marlena: I'm here for the children.
Kristen: [Laughing] Of course you are. Ever the Madonna. Look at you. Hmm, what a difference a day makes. I've discovered gold.
Daniel: How's it going?
Jennifer: I am all done actually.
Daniel: Great. See? Look at that. Just no distractions.
Jennifer: Yes, not-- not until now anyway. But, um, I couldn't get the Wi-Fi thing to work-- the password--so I couldn't send my document. But that's okay.
Daniel: Yeah, no, it's, uh-- you know, that password thing is sort of a pain. So why don't you just take your flash drive and use the computer in my room?
Jennifer: Um, okay, yeah.
Jennifer: That'd be great. Thank you.
Jennifer: I'll just be right back. Oh! Sorry.
Daniel: No, go ahead.
Jennifer: [Sighs] Thank you. Thanks.
[Knocking on door]
Marlena: Just go ahead and buckle him in. I'll be right there. Thank you.
Kristen: Oh, what does this mean? Do we get a little private time together?
Marlena: I don't know why you're gloating about this. You are the big loser.
Kristen: Oh, no, I'm not gloating. That's your department. It must be exhausting too. You look so haggard.
Marlena: Wow, Brady woke up, saw who you were, and he left.
Kristen: So did Sami have a good night?
Marlena: I won't discuss Sami with you.
Kristen: No? What about john? I'd rather talk about john anyway.
Brady: Roman, it's Brady. Listen, I tried to get in to see Sami, and they would not let me in, so... if there's anyone you can call to help me get in, I would appreciate it because she-- she needs her family more than ever now. Thank you. She needs me, and I'm useless.
Kristen: That's not true. You can do anything you set your mind to. Don't you know that?
Nicole: Okay, look, you need to focus on you, starting today right now.
Eric: Thank you. But this is a lot bigger than anyone seems to realize. I have a ton of work to do... starting with phone calls. Yeah.
Nicole: Okay, well, I wanna help. Who are we calling?
Eric: Well, I have to start calling everyone about my trip being canceled.
Nicole: What? No!
Eric: Yeah, well, Sami needs all her family right now.
Nicole: No, Eric, please! Please, don't-- oh, gosh, don't let that woman's latest screw-ups ruin everything that you've worked so hard for. She's not worth it.
Nicole: If you do not make it to the capitol, then that school will not open in the fall or maybe ever. And then what will the bishop think, hmm? He'll probably transfer you to some backwater somewhere, and then what will we d-- what will you do then, what?
Eric: I don't know. I just need to start making me phone calls.
Nicole: No, don't--this is-- please, this is Sami's mess. Let her deal with it!
Eric: Nicole, would you please stop?
Nicole: No, will you listen to me? If she shot some guy, then let-- let her rot in jail for anyone cares.
Eric: I care.
Nicole: No, you-- [Grunts] Please do not let her ruin everything that you worked for.
Eric: Nicole, she is my sister. How could you be so cold-hearted and insensitive? You know, sometimes, I don't even know who you are. [Exhales] Nicole, please.
Cameron: I'm just saying, take anything Chad tells you with a grain of salt, okay?
Abigail: Right. Because he has a secret agenda.
Cameron: No, actually, it's pretty obvious.
Abigail: Okay, Cameron, Chad told me flat-out that he respects the way I feel about you, so I don't--
Cameron: Oh, you know, hey, I didn't bring it up to make a big thing out of it, okay? Believe me, I'm not worried about him.
Abigail: Well, aren't we confident?
Cameron: Well, is there any reason I shouldn't be?
JJ: Hey, man, um... I wanted to come by and tell you that I'm really, really sorry about the thing that happened with parker. You see... I haven't been around kids much, you know? So I didn't realize that things can go bad that fast. I'm really sorry, Daniel. I should've been smarter.
Daniel: Thank you. I believe you. I appreciate the apology.
JJ: Right, well... [Clears throat] You probably got stuff to do, so...later?
Daniel: Yeah, yeah, right.
JJ: All right, man.
Jennifer: Hey. Sorry, I, uh-- I heard his voice, so I just wanted to listen.
Daniel: Yeah, I think he really meant what he said.
Jennifer: You bet. I mean, I am so glad that you saw that, Daniel.
Daniel: Yeah, yeah. I, uh--JJ does not have a problem with parker. It was an honest apology.
Jennifer: Wait, what? You said he doesn't have a problem with parker, meaning--
Daniel: Meaning parker's not an issue.
Jennifer: Right, but you're making it sound like he still has a problem with you? Is that it?
Jennifer: Daniel, you still think that JJ is the one who trashed your car? You do, don't you?
Marlena: Oh, Kristen. I know you'd love to share with me your twisted relationship with john, at least your latest spin on it. But frankly, I don't care about it.
Kristen: Doesn't that just beat all? I had a conversation with john, and when I walked away, I realized I was walking away forever. Isn't that amazing? I don't care anymore. I don't care, not even a little bit.
Marlena: Oh, that's wonderful. Maybe now you can stop obsessing over Brady.
And stop fretting over me. We had our war. I won, and now we're done.
Kristen: Yeah. About that, I don't think we're done. I think we're just getting started. This time, it's for keeps.
Nicole: Brady? Brady.
Brady: Hi. Hey.
Nicole: Uh, the--the door was open. Are you okay?
Brady: Yeah. Fine, good.
Nicole: Yeah, I can see that you're fine. Lousy day so far, huh?
Brady: Very lousy day.
Nicole: Me too. Different reasons of course, but--but me too. Hey, let's go somewhere, you and me.
Brady: I know! Let's go bowling again. You wanna go bowling?
Nicole: Stop! Are you kidding? Come on, I'm your friend. I wouldn't subject you to that kind of humiliation... again.
Nicole: Hey, I don't know. Let's go take a walk or something, or we can go to that hot dog place. We'll get a bunch of chili and just--
Brady: That sounds--
Nicole: Okay, bad idea. We have to do something... you know, to get your mind off of everything that's pulling you down. And you know what?
Nicole: I am officially going to make that my job.
Brady: I-- great.
Nicole: Oh, what the hell.
Cameron: [Sighs] I really don't wanna say what I have to say.
Abigail: But you have to go to work.
Cameron: [Groans] I have a meeting on the floor in ten minutes.
Abigail: Excuses, excuses.
Cameron: You know what, I'll be free later though in case Chad does cancel on you. You know, I don't want anybody moving in on my turf if I can help it.
Abigail: Oh! Is that what I am to you... turf?
Cameron: Ah, man, oh, man. I really need to watch my words around you.
Abigail: Well, fortunately for you, I am quite the forgiving type.
Cameron: Mm. I wish I didn't have to go. But I promised the pharmaceutical reps that I would check out the drug samples.
Abigail: Hey, I thought you left.
Cameron: [Clears throat]
JJ: Yeah, but I forgot something. Hey.
Abigail: Come on.
JJ: Rory. Call me back ASAP, man. I know how to get all the money we need.
Daniel: Okay, Jenn, let's not do this, okay?
Jennifer: No, not okay. Because if there's still an issue between us and JJ, then...
Daniel: We're not gonna solve anything by...
Jennifer: It's something that we have to deal with.
Daniel: No, opening up old wounds. Let me just be honest, please? Can I be honest?
Jennifer: Please. Yes, please.
Daniel: How could anything change since last night? We didn't even talk, did we? Right?
Jennifer: No, you're right. Nothing's changed. JJ's apology--
Daniel: No, I just said it was a sincere apology. I just said that!
Jennifer: We are in exactly the same place...
Jennifer: That we were.
Daniel: How can we be in the same place that we just were?
Jennifer: And thank you for letting me use your apartment.
Daniel: Jenn, you're not--
Daniel: [Groans] Okay, hold on. This is Joanna. I gotta get this call.
Jennifer: I know.
Daniel: But when I'm done-- don't leave.
Jennifer: Daniel, it's not gonna help.
Daniel: We'll talk after this, Jenn. Let me answer the phone call, and then we'll talk.
Daniel: [Scoffs] [Groans]
Marlena: Oh, john, whatever it is, not now, okay? I'm in a hurry. I've gotta get something out of the car.
John: Need some help?
Marlena: No. I brought the children to be with Caroline. They need not know what's going on with their mother.
John: Well, I'd like to help with that too.
Marlena: John, please--
John: No, I'm serious. We don't need to deal with any of our stuff right now. Sami's what's important.
Marlena: You wanna help me?
Marlena: Walk away.
Eric: Nicole, it's me. I think we need to talk.
Nicole: I can't get to my phone right now, so leave a message, and I'll call you back. Thanks!
Brady: Mm. Oh, whoa! This is-- this is probably, uh, not a-- this is probably not a good idea.
Dr. Chyka: Ms. DiMera? Your father contacted me.
Kristen: Yes, I've been expecting you. I'm very happy to see you. You just might be my last hope.
