EJ: So... what do you think of my proposal?

Abigail: Right on time.

Cameron: Well, the first thing they teach you in medical school is always make time for lunch.

Abigail: Ah. Good to know.

Cameron: Oh, and this is from that new bakery I told you about, the one with the...

Abigail: The best peach cobbler you've ever tasted? Yeah, I remember.

Cameron: Well, I hope that means you're in the mood for something sweet.

Will: [Sighs]

Sonny: Wow. Look at you. You're practically beaming. I bet I know why.

Gabi: I mean, how can I not worry, Nick? Okay, if Will sues for custody, which I don't think he will, but if he does, with your track record and my track record, he-- he could win.

Nick: That won't happen. Neither one of those guys is going anywhere near our baby.

Gabi: Well, how can you say that? I mean, we've already worked everything out with Will.

Nick: But Will's not the real problem here, baby. Sami and EJ are, but as long as Will keeps on letting them pull the strings, they will find a way to keep you from your baby.

Gabi: No. No, Will will never let them do that, ever.

Nick: It's not just them, babe. And now that the other gay boy's back in the picture, there's no way this arrangement's gonna work.

[Door opens]

Kate: Interesting choice of reading material. Was it something I said?

EJ: My goodness, Samantha Brady at a loss for words. I never thought I'd see the day.

Sami: I just can't believe you did all this.

EJ: Truth be told, not entirely my idea.

Nick: Oh, uh...

Gabi: Did--did you just call Sonny "the other gay boy"?

Nick: Well, I didn't mean anything by it. I just... he happens to be gay, and that's the way I chose to describe him.

Gabi: Okay, but, I mean, you didn't--you didn't need to do that. I mean, I know Sonny. I know--I know him. I know he's gay. I know a lot of things about him.

Nick: What's your point?

Gabi: Well, it's almost sounding like you want to keep the baby away from Will and Sonny because they're gay.

Nick: What? No. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. You're--you're reading way too much into this. It wasn't my intention to convey that at all.

Gabi: Okay, so what did you mean to convey?

Nick: That I'm worried about who Will's listening to right now. I mean, Sami has already made it extremely clear where she stands on this. She told your brother that she would not hesitate to encourage Will to go for full custody and make you jump through hoops in order to see your own child. If she starts putting those ideas in Sonny's head as well...

Gabi: I-I can't do this. Everybody in Will's family hates me.

Nick: That's why I have a plan to protect you... to make sure that our baby is raised by the right parent.

Rafe: No, no, no. It's confidential.

Kate: Ah.

Rafe: And... you're early.

Kate: Well, I was in the neighborhood when you texted me, so I came right over. Miss me already?

Rafe: [Chuckles] Actually, there's something I want to talk to you about.

Kate: Oh, I know what you want to talk to me about.

Rafe: Mm! Actually, I want to talk to you about Sami.

Sami: This wasn't your idea?

EJ: Uh... no. Diane in accounting deserves the credit for that one.

Sami: She knows about this?

EJ: Samantha, she's very smart, and she's really creative. And I know a good idea when I hear one, so I thought, "What the hell? Let's give it a shot."

Kate: Well, here we are... scene of the crime.

Rafe: [Chuckles] Yeah.

Kate: I wonder if we should stick to soft drinks.

Rafe: Oh, listen... about Sami--

Kate: Okay, fine. What did the blonde barracuda do to you now?

Rafe: Well, Sami and EJ have bullied Will into demanding that Gabi have a paternity test.

Kate: Why? Why, does someone think Will's not the father?

Rafe: No.

Kate: Okay, so what's the issue with the paternity test?

Rafe: Well, Sami and EJ are trying to cast doubts on my sister's promise to let Will be part of this baby's life.

Kate: Well, I'd like to say that I was surprised, but I'm not.

Rafe: Yeah, well, they've even gone so far as to suggest that Gabi may put Nick's name on the birth certificate, you know, just to tie things up in court.

Kate: [Pops lips]

Rafe: Were you listening?

Kate: I was hanging on every single word. It's just that I... I don't know. I have to say, I see their point.

Rafe: Are you serious?

Kate: Yes. Yes, I'm serious. If I were Gabi and I wanted to deny Will access to the baby, it's exactly what I would do.

Rafe: Well, you're not Gabi.

Kate: That's true. She's a lovely, young, guileless woman, and I actually trust her. I trust you too. I think you're a gentleman, and your word means something, and I think you and Gabi are going to do the right thing. And regardless of Sami and EJ's interference, Will is going to do the right thing too.

Rafe: Yeah, let's hope so.

Kate: Hmm. [Sighs]

Rafe: So what are you thinking?

Kate: [Sighs] The same thing I've been thinking about for a while now-- the person who concerns me most in this little threesome is Nick Fallon.

Gabi: Nick... why won't you tell me what the plan is?

Nick: Right now... I just need you to trust me, okay? The less you know the better.

Gabi: "The less I know"? You do know how that sounds, right?

Nick: Look, baby, all I can say is that if this comes down to a judge deciding who is and who isn't fit to be a parent, I'm not the only one with a past, okay? And at least I paid my debt to society.

Gabi: What are you talking about?

Nick: Will may be out of the closet, but his family still has plenty of skeletons in theirs, all right?

Gabi: Well, I mean, Will's family is your family too.

Nick: The Bradys and the Hortons will do anything to keep their secrets from coming to light.

Sonny: Let me guess. Your good mood has something to do with your daughter.

Will: Whoa. Why would you say that?

Sonny: Because you always light up when you talk about her. Remember when you showed me the sonogram and you felt her kick? I have never seen you so happy.

Will: Well, yeah, it was kind of an amazing day.

Sonny: Well, you're gonna be an amazing father.

Will: Thank you. So--that's not why I'm here, actually. Um...

Sonny: Oh, what are you--

Will: This, uh, came in the mail today.

Sonny: Oh, uh... sorry.

Will: Why are you sorry, man?

Sonny: Well, 'cause I-- no, I got it a month ago...

Will: Oh, yeah.

Sonny: The day that you moved in.

Will: Yeah, I knew that.

Sonny: Yeah, and I just forgot about it. So I'm sorry. I should've canceled.

Will: No, no, no. No, it's fine. You know, things have been crazy and busy, and-- and, um, everything's changed. So here, this is why--you know, if you want it back.

Sonny: No, no, no, no. I got it for you. I got it for you. You keep it.

Sami: "Give it a shot"? What are you-- are you serious?

EJ: Well, why wouldn't we give it a shot? What do we have to lose exactly? It's not like we're making some sort of lifetime commitment, Samantha. We're not?

EJ: No, we're not. I mean that thing's not meant to last forever. It'll tarnish eventually.

Sami: "It'll tarnish"? It's not a real diamond?

EJ: It's a real-- [Laughs] No. It's a cubic zirconium. That way, when you lose it, it won't matter.

Sami: I just can't believe how cavalier you are being about this.

EJ: Look--look, Samantha, we work very hard here. We work a lot of hours.

Sami: So you're saying it's just, um... not worth it.

EJ: No, I'm not saying it's not worth it. I'm saying that sometimes working here is pure drudgery, as you know. You know, so this, you know, gives us a little--it gives us a break from all of that.

Sami: Just a chance to get me out of the office?

EJ: Well, that's one of the perks of the situation. Hmm? Think about it. You can spend more time with the children. You know, you can see William now that he's going through this horrible situation with Gabi. And if--if I get stuck, I'll pick up the phone, I'll call Diane, and she can come in here and help with--

Sami: The hell you will!

Cameron: Thank you. Oh, okay. What's with the boxes?

Abigail: Oh, my mom and I are just going through some of my dad's stuff. And we're deciding what we want to hang on to and what we want to donate.

Cameron: Really? Well, that box has your name on it.

Abigail: Yeah, it does. That is just a box of my old school stuff. There's nothing in there worth donating, trust me.

Cameron: Really? So there's nothing in there that'll give me the inside scoop about Abigail Deveraux?

Abigail: No, stop. Come on.

Cameron: Hmm? What's this? "You're eight, and you're great. 'X,' 'O,' 'X,' 'O.' Stuart Crowley." In crayon--smooth.

Abigail: He was very sweet.

Cameron: First love?

Abigail: Maybe.

EJ: O-okay, all right. Okay, look, maybe I should've run this by you before I committed to Diane.

Sami: You think?

EJ: Look, Samantha, I'm probably not doing the whole idea justice, but when she gave it to me, she was wearing the red one, and it looked absolutely fabulous.

Sami: Shut up! She gave it to you?

EJ: Okay, let me just show you the rest of this, okay?

Sami: I don't think that Diane's visuals are gonna help here.

EJ: Look, give me one second. See? Aha! Ta-da!

Sami: I don't understand. What?

EJ: Are you all right?

Sami: I don't think so.

EJ: Let me show you the rest of it, okay?

[Key clacks, mouse clicks]

Sami: It's an--it's an ad campaign.

EJ: It's our new nail polish.

Sami: The... the gemstone collection.

EJ: Yes, the gemstone collection that goes perfectly with... [Smooches] proof lipstick. Thank you. Brilliant idea. You're welcome.

Sami: Oh, my God. [Chuckles] I can't-- can't believe I thought...

EJ: What? Tell me. You're not gonna tell me?

Sami: No. [Chuckles] No, I'm... okay... yes. All right, I will. I will tell you just to honor our deal that we are going to be honest with each other. I'll tell you.

Rafe: I know you've had your issues with Nick.

Kate: Most people do.

Rafe: Yeah. Been there myself. But what I do know with 100% certainty is that Nick has only Gabi and the baby's best interests at heart. In fact, ever since the truth came out at the wedding, he has been completely supportive of Will being part of this baby's life.

Kate: Ah.

Rafe: Mm-hmm.

Kate: And still you spent the entire morning poring over his prison records, which says to me with 100% certainty that big brother is in no way, shape, or form ready to give his blessing to the happy couple anytime soon.

Gabi: Okay, wait. W-what is it about the Hortons that you're not telling me?

Nick: Well, exactly-- I'm not telling you.

Gabi: Well, why not?

Nick: Because like I said, it's nothing you need to worry about. It's just--it's family stuff.

Gabi: Well, what you're talking about sounds actually a little bit like blackmail.

Nick: And that sounds an awful lot... like needless worrying.

Gabi: Nick, the parole board, okay? You can't be taking any chances.

Nick: Listen to me. I have no intention of playing dirty unless it becomes absolutely necessary.

Gabi: Okay, and then what?

Nick: And then all I would be doing is telling the truth. Whether or not that happens is totally up to Will.

Will: It's good music.

Sonny: You used to make fun of my music all the time. What are you talking about?

Will: Well, yes, I know I did, but then you went through a nice, little Zen phase, and you came out the other side--

Sonny: That was two days, two days.

Will: Excuse me. I'm complimenting you. I'm saying I like this stuff. I like your music. It's probably my favorite song you introduced me to. Remember when you played it that one night, like, five night--five times in a row?

Sonny: That wasn't my fault, because I was, you know, distracted, and I didn't realize it was stuck on repeat.

Will: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever. Here, listen. Best part--listen.

Sonny: I make a pretty good playlist, huh?

Will: Yeah, you do. Um... it's not just the songs, though. I mean, I said they're great, but it's also what you said. It...

Sonny: What'd I--what did I say?

Will: Um...

Brian: Sonny, hey. Ready to go? Oh!

Abigail: Please tell me that's not my yearbook.

Cameron: Senior year. I had to look up my competition... Stuart Crowley.

Abigail: You did not.

Cameron: I did, and I must say I am not impressed.

Abigail: Yeah. Yeah, Stuart kind of peaked early... around, like 11, 12 maybe.

Cameron: Well, whereas I have the best years of my life ahead of me.

Abigail: Is that so?

Cameron: Well, I'm just putting it out there, thinking it might put me in the lead ahead of good old Stewie.

Abigail: Yeah, because, you know, it really is a competition.

Cameron: What's this about? What's the Golden Circle Club?

[Plate clatters]

Sonny: Uh, sorry. I just, uh, lost track of time. Just give me two minutes?

Brian: Take your time.

Will: I actually got to go, so...

Sonny: Oh, well, uh, I'm glad you like your gift.

Will: Yeah, I did. Thank you so much. I'll see you later. [Sighs]

Brian: Is everything okay?

Sonny: Yeah. Yeah.

Brian: You didn't forget I was coming, did you?

Sonny: No, I didn't forget you were coming.

Brian: Good. 'Cause my gym just opened up a new rock-climbing wall. I would love to find someone to climb to new heights with.

Sonny: [Laughs] That was kind of bad.

Brian: Yeah. Damn it, that was bad.

[Both laughing]

Rafe: I was looking at Nick's file, because if this does go to court and end up in a custody battle, I want to be prepared.

Kate: Really?

Rafe: Mm-hmm.

Kate: 'Cause I think it's because you're rattled by Sami.

Rafe: Oh, really?

Kate: Mm-hmm.

Rafe: I don't give a damn what Sami thinks. And I don't think that my sister would marry Nick and allow him to put his name on this baby's birth certificate.

Kate: [Laughs] What are you talking about? He already convinced her that the two of them could raise the baby together and leave Will completely out of it. See, I think you're worried that Sami is going to argue that because she chose to marry a convicted murderer and allowed him to pretend to be the father of the baby, Gabi made some choices that could definitely reflect on her and make the case for her to be declared an unfit mother.

Rafe: Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me a bit.

Kate: Okay, so, if that happened, a judge could very easily decide that Will is the one who could provide a stable home for that baby.

Rafe: Is that what'd you want?

Kate: Look, I love Will with all my heart. And I think he's smart, and I think he's courageous, and I think he's kind. But I know, and Will knows, that he is not in a position to raise a child on his own.

Rafe: So you don't think that he'd want a custody battle.

Kate: Okay... what I'm saying here is that Will is not the problem.

Rafe: Nick. Okay, so what do you think we should do?

Kate: I think we have to show him that we're on the same side.

Rafe: I thought we were.

Kate: No. In Nick's eyes, you're representing Gabi, I'm team Will. We need to show him a unified front.

Rafe: Kate... as far as Nick goes and Will and Gabi and the baby are concerned, he is on their side.

Kate: Are you sure about that?

Rafe: I just said it, didn't I? What is meeting with him now going to accomplish, anyway?

Kate: That's what you have me for. You said you trusted me, remember?

Rafe: Actually, I didn't. I didn't say that.

Kate: Well, maybe it's about time you did.

Gabi: [Sighs] I just want us to be happy, you know? I mean, we're having this baby, and this should be a great, exciting time.

Nick: It will be. I promise, okay?

[Cell phone ringing]

Gabi: Who is it?

Nick: Ah, it's work. Kate wants to see me. Hey, um, I'll be back in a little bit, all right?

Gabi: Okay, we'll be here.

Nick: I love you.

Gabi: Love you too.

Nick: Mm!

[Door closes]

Gabi: Don't worry, baby. Daddy Nick's gonna make everything okay.

Sami: So, after I had found the ring in your overcoat, I just kept expecting you to propose to me. I even told Will. God, I told Will you were going to propose.

EJ: Mm-hmm. What did William say?

Sami: He was very supportive of me. And he thought you had lost your mind.

EJ: Lost my mind, did he? I can assure you, Samantha, the only thing that I have lost is--

Sami: No!

EJ: What?

Sami: No, don't say anything sweet or romantic or cheesy, like you've lost your heart. I swear, I will chuck every ring box in this room at you. Do you know how embarrassing this is for me?

EJ: Look, Samantha, think about this. An engagement at this point would have been a little bit forward, even for somebody as impulsive as me.

Sami: Yeah, of course. I mean... [Scoffs] Definitely.

EJ: Besides which, I'm a little bit surprised that you didn't go running for high ground the moment you thought that I had wedding bells playing in my ears.

Sami: I thought about it. I mean, the first couple minutes I was looking at that ring box is all a bit fuzzy.

EJ: Oh... this explains why your head looked like it was about to explode during that ad presentation.

Sami: Is that really what I looked like?

EJ: You'd think by now that I would have realized you have a tendency to go with the first thing that pops into your head, even if that thing is me popping the question.

Sami: Well, I mean, I realize now that that wasn't what you were gonna do. I mean, I-I understand.

EJ: Can I tell you what I understand? Hmm? I understand that life with you is never going to be tedious or dull. And you know what? Even if it were... I wouldn't change a second of it for a lifetime of excitement with Diane... or any other woman. Now, if you, um--if you really wish to throw those rings at me, you go ahead.

Sami: [Laughing]

EJ: Not the face, though.

Sami: Hmm. Maybe I'll save it.

Abigail: Oh, my God, I am such a klutz.

Cameron: It's really no big deal.

Abigail: You didn't even get to try your favorite dessert.

Cameron: Next time... well, if there is one.

Abigail: Why wouldn't there be?

Cameron: Well, I don't want to be too pushy, you know. I'd hate to be bullish and find out you're bearish.

Abigail: I'm sorry. What?

Cameron: Forget it. It's a bad pun.

Abigail: No, wait, but a pun on what?

Cameron: Well, I thought... the Golden Circle Club was some sort of school-based investment group or something.

Abigail: No, it's--that's-- no, it's nothing like that. [Clears throat]

Cameron: Well, you know, I used to belong to the Future Doctors of America, and between you and me, I only signed up because, well, they gave free lollipops at every meeting.

Abigail: No, they didn't.

Cameron: See? I shared. Your turn.

Abigail: Cameron, it's really--it's not a big deal.

[Cell phone ringing]

Cameron: [Sighs] I'm sorry. I-- it's the hospital. I got to go.

Abigail: Yeah, that's-- totally understand.

Cameron: Thanks for lunch.

Abigail: Anytime. And if you want to do it again sometime soon, um... then I'm free.

Cameron: Well, you know, I'll bring extra desserts.

Abigail: Ha ha.

Cameron: Take care.

Abigail: Cameron, uh... wait.

Sami: [Sighs]

[Door locks]

Sami: [Whispering] EJ... we can't.

EJ: Well, no, we can't, can we? Wait a second. I own this place. I can do anything I want.

Sami: [Laughs]

Will: Oh, my God. What is the matter with me?

Gabi: Will, are you okay?

Will: Nope. No. I'm not. I'm an idiot.

Gabi: Okay, what happened? What's going on?

Will: I don't know. Can you--did you tell anybody about what I told you about Sonny and me getting back together maybe?

Gabi: No. No, I didn't. Why? Will, come on. Talk to me.

Will: Are we friends, Gabi? Can we still talk about stuff, even with all this baby tension?

Gabi: Will... of course. Of course we can still talk. We can always talk.

Will: Mm-hmm.

Gabi: Okay? So tell me, why do you feel stupid? What happened with Sonny?

Will: Nothing...happened. Nothing happened, nothing's going to happen.

Gabi: What, you didn't talk to him?

Will: I did. I did. I was really excited about seeing him.

Gabi: I know. He gave you the MP3 player and everything.

Will: Yeah, and I thought it meant that he wanted to get back together.

Gabi: But it wasn't.

Will: [Sighs]

Gabi: Okay, look, he just needs some time to get over it. He will. He will get over it. You just--you can't give up on him.

Will: I have to.

Gabi: No, that's crazy. You can't do that.

Will: [Stammering] Sonny is with Brian now.

Nick: Hey, I know I promised you I'd have the analysis on those nail-polish samples you gave me, but--

Kate: Ah, ah. I didn't call you here to discuss business.

Nick: Oh.

Rafe: It's personal.

Abigail: There it is, in black and white. "Abigail Deveraux, President, the Golden Circle Club." [Sighs] Why don't I just hire a plane, skywrite it all over Salem? [Sighs]

Cameron: Courtney, hey.

Courtney: Oh, hey, do you need something, Dr. Davis?

Cameron: No, I just had a question. You went to Salem High, didn't you?

Courtney: Yeah, class of 2005--why?

Cameron: Were you in the Golden Circle Club?

Courtney: Excuse me?

Cameron: What? What?

Courtney: Well, that question is slightly inappropriate for the workplace, don't you think?

Cameron: What--uh, why?

Courtney: Why? Have you ever heard of sexual harassment, Doctor?

Cameron: Whoa, whoa. Hold on.

Courtney: No. What, you think it's cool to ask a woman who you work with, whom you hardly know, if she's a-- God, I can't even say it. This is really embarrassing, not to mention weird.

Cameron: Yeah, it is weird, and I don't get why you're talking about sexual harassment when I was just asking you about a high-school club.

Courtney: You really don't know what the Golden Circle Club is, do you?

Cameron: No. And if you could please tell me before I accidentally offend someone else...

Courtney: Um, it was a club for people who signed a pledge swearing that they wouldn't have sex before marriage, not until they got the golden circle, as in a ring. Get it now?

Cameron: [Grunts] Yeah.

Courtney: Okay.

Cameron: Thank you.

Courtney: Sure.

Will: The MP3 player was supposed to be a Valentine's gift that Sonny ordered a month ago.

Gabi: Okay, well, but you said that the card said something about new beginnings, right?

Will: Yeah, he was talking about us moving in together. Um... thank God he made that clear, though, before I... humiliated myself, made a fool out of myself--you know, let him know I thought we were getting back together.

Gabi: Okay, well, you don't know that that's not what he wanted, okay?

Will: Yes, I do. I mean, he left me to go on a date with Brian.

Gabi: Look, Sonny... Sonny's feelings for you-- they're just--they're not gonna disappear overnight, okay? They're st--they're still there.

Will: No. You know what? I... I think it--I think it's better this way, you know, that he moved on, because I can move on now, and I could-- I could focus on school, and I could focus on, you know... oh, my God-- on, you know, our daughter, 'cause, I mean, when she's born, I'm not gonna have a lot of time to date anyway, so... just promise me--please don't tell anybody about this, though, because it would be really humiliating if Sonny thought-- I mean, if Sonny knew that I thought we were, you know...

Gabi: Okay, but, I mean, what if--what if you told him and--

Will: No, no, no. I think I made him feel bad enough today already, and I don't want to hurt anybody else that I, uh, care about, so...

Gabi: Okay. I promise. I won't say anything.

Will: Great. Well, um... I will get out of your hair, then. Okay. Oh, my God.

Gabi: [Chuckles]

Will: See ya. Oh, um, did you make that appointment for the paternity test?

Rafe: Kate and I just want to talk to you.

Nick: Yeah, I kind of figured that one out.

Rafe: Yeah. You know, we just want to make sure that everything works out with you and Will and Gabi and... the baby--this agreement that you have to raise the baby together.

Nick: Okay.

Rafe: But in order for that to happen, we need to make sure that... well, we do everything possible to make sure that, um... there's no stress that affects the outcome of the baby.

Nick: Right. Well... [Clears throat] What it sounds like you guys are talking about is... Sami. I mean, I don't know what her problem is any better than you guys do. I mean, even before Gabi and I tried to get married, we included Will in every decision that we made. And that won't change, and Will knows that.

Kate: I just want us to be clear that, while Rafe and I recognize and support each parent's right to be a part of that baby's life... we're concerned. We're concerned that someone with a personal agenda might get in the way of that... someone other than Sami.

Nick: [Chuckles] You mean me? You think that I have an ulterior motive? [Scoffs]

Rafe: Do you?

Sami: EJ, I feel like such an idiot. I can't believe I thought... I'm so silly. I can't believe I thought you were gonna propose.

EJ: You're not silly at all. You and I know... just about everything there is to know about one another. And we accept each other... faults and all.

Sami: [Laughing] Look at these things. [Laughing] They are beautiful. I mean, I can't believe they're not real.

EJ: Can I tell you something? If they were real... there is not a diamond that is big enough or flawless enough... to tell you how I feel about you.

Sami: That's quite a line, Mr. DiMera. Do you think that lets you off the hook?

EJ: Uh-uh. Mm-mm. Not for a second. I'll tell you something else. It will not stop me from trying. Maybe someday soon.

Sonny: Maybe next time we go climbing, I'll give you a few tips.

Brian: Yeah, I hope it's soon.

Sonny: Yeah. [Clears throat] Well, I got to, you know, go shower and get back to work.

Brian: Yeah, I got crew practice.

Sonny: Right.

Brian: I had a really great time today.

Sonny: Me too.

Brian: See you again soon?

Sonny: Absolutely.

Brian: Bye.

Sonny: It was a practice wall.

Will: I don't care. Seriously, little rocks count as vertical mountains to me.

Gabi: Um... uh, no. No, I haven't had a chance to schedule the paternity test yet. Like Nick said, I want to-- I want to ask Cameron if it's gonna hurt the baby or not.

Will: Okay. That's fine. I just, uh--you know, I just want to get it out of the way, because... I mean, you know, after today's misunderstanding with Sonny, I would like everybody to be on the same page, and I just want to know where everybody stands, so... that's it.

Gabi: Sure. Yeah. No, I understand.

Will: Okay. Thanks. Bye. Good-bye. See ya.

Gabi: [Sighs] Where do you stand, Will?

Nick: [Chuckles]

Rafe: Listen, I know you love my sister, all right? I mean, you even agreed to push the wedding.

Nick: Well, waiting was your idea, Rafe, not ours. Gabi and I will get married soon.

Rafe: Okay. No reason to get defensive here.

Kate: We're not the enemy, Nick.

Nick: Okay, no offense, Kate--you may be my boss, but I know that you don't really like me very much.

Kate: Okay. You know, it's not like I'm gonna deny that it put me off that you played me against Sami to get a better job offer, okay? But Will talked to me, and he convinced me that the only reason you did that was to provide for your family, for Gabi and the baby. And you see, I-I respect that.

Nick: Well, thank you. Um, it also happens to be true. I intend to protect this baby no matter what.

Rafe: Right, but you do realize that if Sami and EJ manage to push this thing into court, into a custody battle, that you and your prison record will become Gabi's biggest liabilities.
