Jennifer: All right, Daniel, I know you're gonna hate me for this, but I owe you. Yes, I'm calling on behalf of EJ DiMera. Yes, I'd like to speak to someone--
Daniel: What the hell do you think you're doing right now?
Jennifer: I am doing nothing.
Daniel: You were working your way through a list of DNA companies, claiming to represent EJ DiMera, and you say that's nothing?
Jennifer: Daniel, it is nothing. Nothing for you to worry about.
Daniel: Okay, Jen, you better listen to me, and listen to me good. Because there is no way in hell I'm gonna let you throw away your career again.
Jennifer: But you want me to sit back and let you throw away yours...for a witch like Nicole Walker?
Nicole: Rafe...answer me. Are you okay?
Nicole: No, you're not okay. And there's only one person on this earth who can make you feel that kind of pain.
Rafe: Nicole, please, just don't even go there.
Nicole: No, I'm already there. What the hell did that bitch Sami do to you this time?
Sami: [Nervous chuckle] Um, I definitely feel awkward...
Sami: Crying on your shoulder after the way that I've treated you.
EJ: I haven't exactly been blameless myself.
Sami: But I shouldn't ask you to dry my tears about Rafe.
EJ: Sweetheart, I don't care why you're crying. I just care that you're upset. I want to do whatever I can do to make you feel better. You know it doesn't matter how mad I get at you... or how many times I swore you were out of my life... I can't bear to see you cry. I just can't stand it.
[Banging on door]
Chad: EJ, open this damn door right now!
EJ: Chad, what is it? What's wrong?
Chad: What do you think?
Rafe: Nicole... I want you to try and listen to me, okay? I want to do something new here. Sami did not do this.
Nicole: Do I look like I believe you?
Rafe: I did it.
Nicole: I know how she treats you.
Rafe: I did it. I said everything, all right? Do you hear me?
Nicole: When it comes to Sami, what you say doesn't make a damn bit of difference, okay? Besides, Sami doesn't listen to what you say anyway.
Rafe: Can you just try and chill out?
Nicole: And secondly, well-- oh, God, how I wish to God, for your sake, that you would want to end things with Sami. But you can't because she's like malaria or shingles. She's this virus that's just there, and you're not in control. Please let me help you find a vaccine.
Rafe: And, like I said, I don't want to talk about this, okay? Something else would do.
Nicole: You know, if I'm gonna help you, Rafe-- and I am gonna help you, because I owe you so much. Please, just tell me everything that happened.
Rafe: [Sighs] Nicole...
Jennifer: Whatever I do is none of your business.
Daniel: Oh, it is my business. 'Cause you think you're trying to help me, but what you're really doing is you're getting all mixed up in a very messy situation.
Jennifer: Oh, "messy" is a very pretty word for...
Daniel: And you know what? You don't want EJ DiMera on your bad side. Not a big fan of yours. Or has the time in jail just sort of slipped your mind?
Jennifer: Oh, no, it hasn't, but at least I have mine. My mind, that is, because you've completely lost yours.
Daniel: What are you talking--
Jennifer: Nicole Walker?
Daniel: Okay, you know what, I can't even talk to you about this. I'm not even gonna talk to you about this.
Jennifer: She helped Chloe lie about her baby, she helped Chloe betray you, and now you're helping her. Daniel--
Daniel: Fine! You don't like Nicole? Few do, all right? But that does not mean you risk fraud. Using EJ's name? What do you think he'll do to you if he finds out? What do you think he'll do?
Jennifer: I don't care. I--
Daniel: You don't?
Jennifer: No, I don't. Because I hurt him, and he is angry, and he is dangerous, and he specifically is targeting you, Daniel.
Daniel: Okay, you know what? You know what? I am none of your business. None. So let me get this clear. I don't want your help. I don't need your help or anything else from you. Not now, not ever.
Sami: I thought you and Melanie were so happy, you were getting married. What--what happened?
Chad: Nick Fallon happened. From the time that she found out he might get out, she hasn't been thinking straight. You know what? I knew I should have done something at the start. I mean, why should she have to put up with him walking around free?
Chad: You know, I shouldn't have stopped at a black eye. I should have killed the bastard!
EJ: Hey, all right, enough. Samantha, would you do me a favor? Would you give us a moment alone, please?
Sami: Yeah, absolutely. Hey, Chad, I'm really sorry.
EJ: Thank you. Listen, I understand... but you need to be careful of what you say in public.
Chad: I lose Melanie, and that's what's more important to you, what I say in public? I'm not--
EJ: Wait. Listen. What is important to me is you. All right? You. And with our last name--
Chad: Oh, you know what? Screw our last name!
EJ: Please, stop it! Hey, take it easy, buddy.
Chad: Look, I'm gonna go find my fiancée, but it was great talking to you.
EJ: You're not going anywhere. You're staying right there! All right?
Rafe: This is Rafe Hernandez. Leave a message after the beep.
Gabi: Hey, Rafe, it's me. Look, I'm scared, okay? I don't want to end up in prison. Can you-- can you call me and let me know if you've heart anything?
Rafe: I'll see you around, Nicole.
Nicole: All right, wait, wait, Rafe, wait...
Rafe: No, come on.
Nicole: Okay, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. You don't need me saying terrible things about Sami right now, but you--
Nicole: You do need a friend. And after everything that you've done for me, please... please do not walk away from me.
Rafe: Okay, maybe you could file it under "I don't want to talk about it" when I say I don't want to talk about it. All right?
Nicole: Okay. Consider it filed. It's filed.
Nicole: How about this? How about I buy you a martini, and I watch you drink it?
Rafe: 'Cause I don't drink martinis, you do.
Nicole: I know, I just thought maybe I could sniff the fumes or-- wait, that's probably not good for the baby, huh? Okay, why risk it? No fumes. New and improved Nicole Walker. [Chuckles]
Rafe: How is that baby doing?
Nicole: Oh, my goodness, he's kicking up a storm. Oh-pshhhhh. [Chuckles] Um...but I did-- I did talk to Daniel, and he has a way to deal with the paternity test that EJ's gonna demand.
Rafe: Okay, see, now there's something I'd like to hear about.
Rafe: What's up?
Nicole: Okay, well, he gave me this list, and apparently the hospital has a new policy, and they're only allowing three companies to conduct paternity tests.
Rafe: Oh, yeah?
Rafe: Well, that's good. That narrows things down for us, doesn't it?
Nicole: Well, it gets better. The reason they're using these three companies is because they have this software package that's compatible with the one the hospital uses.
Rafe: And Daniel's familiar with this system?
Nicole: Yeah, he just needs access.
Rafe: Well, I may be able to help you there. I got a good tech guy at the bureau. He's like...
Nicole: Oh, you're gonna... hire someone from the FBI?
Rafe: Would you relax, okay? He's good, he knows how to keep a secret, he's discreet. Look, if this works out, EJ's gonna be running out of moves. He's not--
Nicole: He's not...what?
EJ: This is not some little adolescent prank. There are some very serious legal issues here. She's not just gonna get a little slap on the wrist, do you understand? She's gonna go away for a very long time. That is, of course, unless you and I could come to some sort of arrangement.
Nicole: What is it? What's wrong, Rafe?
Nicole: You're not sure you want to do this, are you?
Daniel: Okay. Okay, I thought maybe I could do this quickly and cleanly but, you know, I should know this about you. You don't want it quick and clean. You want the whole story, right?
Nicole: Yeah, I do. I want the whole story, Daniel. I do.
Daniel: Okay, okay. Well, you know what? I don't want you ruining my life again.
Daniel: Yeah, just because, you know, I was the one who walked out, bowing out gracefully. At least I hope it was gracefully.
Jennifer: It was.
Daniel: Yeah, well, I did that when it was clear that you picked Jack over me. And I tried, I did. I tried to make it easy to forget about all about me. But losing you, it hurt, and it hurt like hell. Because you used me when you thought Jack was gone, and you just threw me away when he walked back into your life.
Jennifer: Daniel, I promise you I did not use you.
Daniel: Really? Really? You can tell yourself whatever you want...you really can. But the bottom line is you have no right to care for me. And I'm sorry-- I am so sorry you lost Jack, but I moved on, I did. Because I don't need you to screw up my life.
Jennifer: You've moved on? With who? I have a sick feeling I know the answer to that question.
Gabi: Hey, Nick, Maggie.
Maggie: Hi. She gave you a nice smile.
Nick: Yeah, well, she didn't know me before.
Maggie: She smiled at you because she knows you now.
Nick: She's friendly.
Maggie: Right. I'm really sorry that Chad did this to you. And I hate saying this, but now that Melanie has left Salem, maybe this trouble with Chad, you know, will die down.
Nick: Maggie, don't you realize? Chad is gonna blame Melanie leaving on me.
EJ: Listen... I'm your brother. I'm on your side. I'm looking out for you, and I recognize this situation with Melanie is incredibly frustrating. But you need to understand, buddy, I am on it.
EJ: Hey... trust me! All right?
Chad: And you can trust me. Because if I lose her, then I have nothing left to lose, and I will have no problem going to the cops and telling them exactly how involved Gabi was with Melanie's kidnapping. And I want her to hurt just as bad as--
Chad: It's already too late.
Nicole: Rafe, if you're having second thoughts, you need to tell me right now. I know it's a lot to ask, but I have to make sure that my baby, my son, stays away from EJ.
Rafe: Nicole, calm down, okay?
Nicole: Look, and these issues that you're having right now, they're new, they're new. This isn't about your career. This is about Sami and her reeling you back in. And you don't like her thinking that you're the father.
Rafe: Nicole, just calm down.
Nicole: That's it, isn't it?
Rafe: Will you keep your voice down?
Rafe: All right.
Nicole: But look, if we... fake the paternity results once my son is born...
Nicole: Then there will be no doubt in anyone's head that you're the father, including Sami.
Rafe: Nicole, I'm aware of that.
Nicole: Good. Good.
Rafe: Okay. Yeah.
Nicole: Then you need to ask yourself... and then you need to tell me and Daniel and my son... if you are through with Sami or not.
Jennifer: You're not gonna answer me?
Daniel: You jealous? I mean, that's not really you.
Jennifer: That's not an answer.
Daniel: Okay, look, I know you've been through hell and back--
Jennifer: Don't even go there. Don't even start being condescending. Don't even presume that you know what I'm feeling right now, or insinuate that I'm being irrational because of Jack's death. That has nothing to do with what we are talking about right now.
Daniel: No, but it has everything to do with who you are as a person. Because you, right now, you're angry, you're--
Jennifer: I am the same person that I have always been.
Daniel: No, you were traumatized because of Jack's death.
Jennifer: Why does everyone feel like they need to tell me how Jack's death has affected me?
Daniel: Just an observation.
Jennifer: You know what? I shouldn't even dignify that with a response, but I will because everyone keeps chalking up my behavior to Jack's death!
Daniel: Whoa, no need to yell. Right here.
Jennifer: I am yelling because my good friend, who is a great man and a decent person is ruining his life, and I cannot get through to you. That is why.
Daniel: Hmm. Well, it is fairly presumptuous for you to think that you need to.
Daniel: Get through to me. Because I know-- I know what I'm doing, and I know what I need to do. And this is my life. Mine! And these are my choices. And not that anything I do is your business, but you want to know the person that I'm going for right now? Yeah, it's Nicole Walker. Do you have a rolling pin?
Jennifer: I really didn't believe, Daniel. I mean, I just never thought for a minute that you were a complete idiot. She takes you to her bed, she gets you to commit a felony for her so she gets what she wants, and you lose your medical license?
Daniel: Okay, that's enough.
Jennifer: I mean, I know that she's a pro, but high-price doesn't even catch it. I mean, you paid through the nose for that piece, Daniel. Don't you think?
Daniel: Hey! My life is my business. And I mean to say I am none of your business! And you have as much right to talk about Nicole as I have to talk about Jack.
Jennifer: Well, you were just talking about Jack and how traumatized I am by him, right? And you were just talking earlier about how I made a mistake.
Daniel: Yeah, well, sorry about that.
Jennifer: But you know what? I don't think you made a mistake, I know you made a mistake. What you did is illegal and unethical, and it is not who you are. It is who she is... and you get nothing out of it.
Daniel: I get her, and that's who I want. This way we get to be together without EJ coming after her, or us.
Jennifer: I don't believe this.
Daniel: Yeah, well, I didn't believe that you'd walk away from being happy just because Jack was helpless without you. See? I guess we shouldn't be talking about these things, now, should we?
Jennifer: You know what? That was intentionally cruel. And that is not who you used to be either. So you know what? Here, take this. Good luck! Good luck cleaning up the mess you've made of your life! But you know what? One good thing did come of this. I never doubted for a minute choosing Jack over you. But now-- now I know I made the right choice.
Daniel: [Silent scream] Ugh!
Rafe: There is no chance-- no chance at all that I'm gonna end up with Sami. Satisfied? I'll be in touch with Daniel and figure out what to do next.
Sami: You're both still in the hallway. I was gonna just come over and see if I could make tea or something to eat or something. Is everything okay? I mean, obviously it's not. I see that it's still pretty intense.
EJ: Uh, no, I think we're just-- we're both very new at this brother thing. Speaking for myself, I'm not particularly good at it, so--
Sami: Oh, are you kidding me? Listen to me, I'm an idiot. I'm offering to make you something to eat because I don't know what else to say.
Chad: I'm not hungry.
Sami: Of course not. Uh...okay.
Chad: Um, Mrs., Um... thank you, and, um, sorry.
Sami: Sami. And you should be very, very sorry because I know when I have disasters, I am totally in control and rational and polite all the time. Ask him.
Sami: Hey, hang in there, okay?
EJ: Look... I remember what I said about the brother thing. I'm not very good at doing it. I recognize that sometimes I can sound very cold. Let me repeat myself. You're my brother, okay? I'm on your side. I have your back. Chad, listen to me. Just do me a favor, okay? Go home, get some rest. And promise me you're not going to do anything, okay? Especially talk to the police about Gabi.
Chad: Why is that?
EJ: We already talked about that.
Chad: And it doesn't make any sense. Okay, what difference does it make? And why is that what you're worried about? What are you up to?
Caroline: Well, is there anything I can do for you?
Maggie: You already have. I can't tell you what it means to me that you gave Nick this job.
Caroline: I meant a cheeseburger or something.
Maggie: Oh. You were always so good at accepting thanks. But I meant it. I know it wasn't easy for you.
Caroline: Listen, I needed a dish washer, you know. And let me tell you this-- he is still in his apprenticeship.
Nick: You, uh... pumping my new boss on how I'm doing?
Maggie: Oh, you're winning Caroline over, I can tell. One day at a time, I know. But you're stringing together some pretty good days.
Nick: Yeah, with one notable exception.
Maggie: You handled a bad situation well. But, Nick, I shouldn't have had to pry it out of you and Gabi that Chad did this.
Nick: Aunt Maggie--
Maggie: No, listen to me. If he ever does this again, you have to promise that you're gonna tell me about it.
Nicole: [Clears throat] Hi, baby.
Nick: Okay. I'll see you.
Gabi: You know, I think that Maggie's really gonna miss Melanie while she's in Barcelona with her mom.
Caroline: Yeah. Don't you really hate that woman... for marrying my Shawn? She's just-- she's too nice to hate.
Gabi: Uh, didn't she marry Victor Kiriakis?
Caroline: I know.
Gabi: You just said that she married your Shawn.
Caroline: That's what I get. It's being cooped up all day. Everybody came in here today and said it's beautiful outside.
Gabi: It is.
Caroline: Well, I'm gonna take a walk...
Caroline: And clear my mind. What's left of it.
Chad: Now, why do you care what happens to Gabi? Now, when I had told you what she had done, without actually telling you who it was, I mean, you were ready to go in for the kill. Now you know who it is, and you're protecting the sister of a man you despise. Now--now, why is that?
EJ: It really sort of boils down to this. I will make sure that my brother does not give testimony to a grand jury, thereby keeping your sister out of prison for, ooh, the next 20 years or so.
EJ: If you give up Samantha to me. Hey, come on. I don't care about her. I care about you, all right? God, I wish you'd play more chess with father.
Chad: What in the hell does that have to do with anything?
EJ: It has to do with everything. Everything. Listen to me. Father would drum into me over and over and over again, you have to be five moves ahead of your opponent if you ultimately want to be successful. Look, let's say this. Let's say that I go and find Melanie, and I bring her back here. Okay, put the two of you together. Do you think everything is just magically going to be solved? Do you think she's going to forget about what you did to Nick? Do you think she's just going to, you know, forget about this dark side to your personality? No. If you want to fix this, you have to work really hard to fix it. And I'm telling you, her finding out that you put Gabi Hernandez in prison is not going to help with your reconciliation.
Chad: Everything I did was to protect Mel. Now, that's the truth.
EJ: No, truth, see...mmm. Truth--truth is subjective. Truth is not important. What is important is Melanie's perception of truth. You understand? See, I think on this occasion that discretion is the better part of valor.
Chad: Yeah, I guess you're right.
EJ: Okay, when you've had some rest, and you've given it a little bit of thought, you'll know I'm right.
Chad: I just want to do something, okay? That's--I just want to do something.
EJ: Chad, don't do anything. Okay? Trust me. Doing something-- doing something is what got you in this mess in the first place. Do us both a favor. Go home, get some sleep. All right? Promise me that you aren't going to do anything. All right? Okay?
EJ: Okay. Good man. Get some rest.
EJ: Call me.
Sami: Hey. How's Chad?
EJ: Oh... [Sighs] He's fine. I'm much more concerned about you.
Sami: I'm fine.
EJ: Mm-hmm. [Whistles] Come on, we're going out for a walk. Get some fresh air. We can talk about something... like the kids.
Sami: I have a lot, and I don't know that--
EJ: Hey, da da da. I don't believe you. You are quite strong enough to come for a little bit of fresh air.
Sami: Well, I--
EJ: Purse. Keys. Elevator.
[Knock on door]
Maggie: Is this a bad time?
Daniel: Hell no. Misery loves company. I miss her.
Maggie: Yeah, I miss her too. I mean, I was missing her all the way to the airport, and she was sitting right next to me. [Sighs]
Daniel: I checked, it's raining in Barcelona. I'm glad I remembered to tell her to pack an umbrella because I'm quite sure there are no umbrellas in Barcelona.
Maggie: You're a mess.
Daniel: Oh, I'm such a mess.
Maggie: She'll be back, Daniel.
Daniel: You can't-- you can't be sure.
Maggie: Well, I choose to be sure, because it hurts too much not to be. And as you pointed out before she left, it's not as if we can't keep in close touch with her. Skype, email, text. I Skyped her this morning.
Daniel: Wow, you Skyped?
Maggie: Mm-hmm. [Chuckles]
Daniel: Me too.
Maggie: It helps, doesn't it?
Daniel: Yeah, yeah, but...
Maggie: She's not here.
Daniel: Maggie, this is just selfish talk. I mean, she made the right decision for her. And she does-- she just needs this time away.
Maggie: Yes, she does.
Maggie: I want you to know that Melanie talked about you all the way to the airport. She said what a great dad you are, and a great person. I agree with her.
Daniel: Well, you know what? Not everybody does.
Nicole: Honey, are you okay? I mean, maybe I-- I shouldn't say anything, but it looks like you're about to have another one of your meltdowns.
Jennifer: Why would I waste one of my good meltdowns on you, Nicole? I would save it for Daniel, right?
Nicole: Excuse me?
Jennifer: To make him feel sorry for me. To manipulate him, to get him to do what I want him to do.
Nicole: Okay, maybe I shouldn't have said anything. Clearly, I have struck a nerve.
Jennifer: No, maybe you shouldn't have said anything because it's not true. I had a breakdown because my husband died, and that destroyed me, and it destroyed my children. So can you just try to stay with me here? This is real emotion I'm talking about. I'm a real person with real feelings. And I know to you that may look calculated, because everything you do, Nicole, is calculated.
Nicole: I'm sorry, I'm not following.
Jennifer: No, you're not following because you don't want to follow. You don't want the shoe to be put on the other foot. You don't want me telling you what it is you're doing. So you turn it around, and you accuse me of doing what you're doing. Because as deep as your hooks are in Daniel, I am a threat to you. You are not always wrong, Nicole.
Daniel: This is so hard, and not a lot of fun, you know, trying to keep Jennifer from being Jennifer.
Maggie: Why would you do that?
Daniel: You know her. She just--she sails into things. She tries to fix everything, take care of everyone. You know what she needs to do is she needs to start taking care of herself and thinking about herself, not me.
Maggie: Well, she is thinking about you.
Daniel: No, not anymore she's not...I hope. Because I tried-- I tried to sever the ties and just make her give up on me. I was brutal. I was so brutal.
Maggie: Why do I get this sinking feeling that all this has something to do with Nicole?
Daniel: I had to get Nicole out of that house, that's why. Because Jen, she needs to take care of herself and her family. She's got kids!
Maggie: You were brutal.
Daniel: Aye-yi-yi. I--well, let's just say Jennifer Horton-Deveraux does not have the highest opinion of your son.
Maggie: And you did this on purpose?
Daniel: Yeah. And it nearly killed me, Mom.
Jennifer: Oh, Nicole, you are something. You really are.
Nicole: I--I--I do understand.
Jennifer: You do?
Nicole: It must be awful for you... going through what you're going through, the emptiness in your life. And dealing with a woman who has everything.
Jennifer: Oh, yes, yeah. I am so jealous of what you and Daniel share. It's very special.
Nicole: Did he tell you I have my hooks in him?
Jennifer: No, he actually painted a very rosy picture of what you have.
Nicole: So he told you about us?
Jennifer: Oh, yeah! It's a very sweet story. I hope the two of you stay as happy as you are today, Nicole.
Nicole: I think we will.
Jennifer: But you know what, tell me, what-- what was it? What--what of Daniel's many fine qualities sealed the deal for you, Nicole? Was it his crinkly eyes, his self-deprecating humor? Or was it the fact that he could doctor paternity test results?
Nicole: Ah, there it is. Back to the conspiracy theory.
Jennifer: I mean, I have a feeling I know why he fell for you. I understand your film career is over, but you are still selling it, Nicole. Wow.
Nicole: You are such a bitch.
Jennifer: Maybe. Maybe I am not the creampuff you think I am. Maybe you have underestimated me. And you know what? That makes you a stupid bitch.
Chad: Aah! Aah!
Nick: Hey, I was gonna ask you, did you ever have any luck finding a lawyer?
Gabi: Uh, yeah, I did. My brother actually got me one.
Nick: See? I told you it was gonna work out. Like, I got aunt Maggie looking out for me. It's cool you got your brother.
Gabi: Yeah. Uh, it's me. Rafe, look, I'm scared. I don't want to end up in prison. Can you call me and let me know if you've heard anything?
Rafe: Gabi, you're not going to prison.
Sami: I know that I have been jerking you around lately, and I know it's not fair to you.
EJ: I think all's fair in love and war.
Sami: Which one is it this time? EJ, it seems the more I push you away, the closer you get. How come you're so nice to me when I'm so terrible to you?
EJ: I think you know the answer to that. I love you. I always have loved you. I always will love you. Sweetie, you have to scrub it first.
Maggie: Gee, I wonder, Daniel, why it hurt so much to try to make Jennifer hate you. Could it possibly be because you're still in love with her?
Daniel: What if I am? No, it doesn't matter. It doesn't change anything. It doesn't.
Maggie: [Clears throat] Do you want to be alone? I mean, you won't hurt my feelings, I promise.
Daniel: Uh, mom, I just don't want to talk, that's all. Just talking, it makes it worse, really.
Maggie: Yeah, well, as Victor contends, I'm congenitally incapable of not talking, so I guess I should be going. I should be going.
Daniel: All right.
Maggie: Um...Jennifer... she may have a low opinion of you, but I sure don't.
Daniel: Well, you have to be nice to me. You're my mother.
Maggie: [Chuckles] Cute. No, my opinion, I'm always completely rational, and sometimes clinical.
Maggie: Just call me in the morning.
Daniel: I will call you. Okay, I'll call you.
Maggie: You don't have to talk, I just want to know you're doing okay.
Daniel: I know, right. I know. Okay.
Maggie: Okay. All right. Bye.
Daniel: Thanks. All right.
Maggie: No, you know what? I know you hate talking, but could you-- how 'bout a little listening, all right? I don't know what's going on with Nicole, but I've never seen anything involving Nicole that wasn't pretty much of a mess.
Daniel: Yeah, it's pretty much a mess.
Maggie: Okay, that'll pass. And as for Jennifer, yes, she still has some grieving to do. And when that's over, she might never be able to care for anyone like that again. Okay? But have you ever asked yourself if maybe the reason that Jennifer was so upset with you is because maybe she still cares for you too? Very, very much. I'm just sayin'. Bye, son.
Nicole: Okay, creampuff, if you need to be mad at someone, it might as well be me.
Jennifer: Oh, will you please cut the crap, Nicole! Please. You used my husband, my children, my dignity! You used everything you could to keep Daniel away from me, and now you're using him for your own purposes. You have ruined him. You have ruined his life! And I am not gonna let you use me. I promise you, I am gonna make you pay for what you've done.
Gabi: Hey, um, thank you for trying to make me feel better.
Nick: Yeah, just trying to pay it forward, you know? A lot of people stood by me when they didn't have to.
Gabi: Hey, Nick, look, I told you it's okay, I can close by myself. It's fine.
Nick: What are you talking about?
Gabi: Your headache. It's back, isn't it? Look, please, take two aspirin and call me in the morning. Come on.
Nick: You sure?
Nick: All right. Thanks, Gabi.
Gabi: Hey, Nick, you left your jacket here. It's getting pretty cold out there.
Gabi: Uh, it's close-- Chad.
Chad: I'm gonna hurt you, Gabi... just like you hurt me.
Sami: I know you love me. I just...have to figure out...
EJ: How you feel about me.
Sami: EJ, I just need time to figure everything out. .
