EJ: Who's your mystery date?
Rafe: So touched that you care, EJ.
EJ: Well, we both know that it can't be Samantha, because she's never gonna get over the fact that you're having a baby with Nicole.
Rafe: Uh-huh. I think she already has, actually.
Rafe: [Whispering] Samantha is my date tonight. Guess you didn't know her as well as you thought.
Sami: No, no, no, no, no. Wow, Nicole, it's a good thing you're not in porn anymore. Not your best work.
Nicole: Give it to me. Gi--
Sami: No, no.
Nicole: That is not for you to see.
Sami: Oh, really? Then why is it in my face? Wait a second. What's with the date, Nicole?
Sami: It's got today's date on it. It's time-stamped.
Nicole: I don't know, it shouldn't.
Sami: Are you still sleeping with Rafe?
Kate: I think that suit would look good on will.
Lucas: No, I don't think he wears suits, at least not that I know of, anyway.
Kate: Okay, so does that mean that you and will are still on delicate ground?
Lucas: I think he feels that I'm disappointed in him because he's gay.
Kate: Are you?
Lucas: No, mom, I'm not. Really, I'm not.
Kate: Well, I hope not. The last thing he needs is another person judging him.
Lucas: What do you mean, "another person judging him"? Who's doing that? What's going on?
Kate: You didn't hear about this? Adrienne Kiriakis, of all people, came after will.
Lucas: Adrienne Kiriakis did that? Why w--
[Cell phone ringing]
Lucas: I cannot believe that. You know what? I-I actually have to pick up Allie now, but I do want to hear about this, so tell me later, okay?
Lucas: Don't forget.
Sonny: Not pushing me away?
Maggie: Ah. [Laughter] Oh, you're beaming. Oh, god.
Melanie: This is the one, yeah?
Melanie: Do you think?
Maggie: Oh, it's the perfect dress. Yes, yes, yes. Oh, yes, yes, you're radiant. [Laughter] Oh, you seem so much lighter, happier.
Melanie: I am.
Maggie: Any particular reason?
Melanie: I talked to Nick. I found him. I wanted to talk to him, and we kind of worked everything out. [Laughs] I know, I can see what everybody means, he's--he's okay now.
Maggie: Oh, I'm so glad.
Melanie: I know. I'm not afraid of Nick anymore.
Melanie: Oh. Oh, wow. Oh, my gosh, this is so beautiful.
Chad: You son of a bitch. [Grunting] Where is she, huh?
Chad: Where is she, you son of a bitch, huh? [Grunting] [Grunting]
Chad: Where's Melanie? Huh, where is she?
Gabi: Oh, my god, my--
Chad: Where--where is she?
Gabi: Stop it, Chad, stop! Right now, stop!
Chad: Where's Melanie? Tell me where she is!
Gabi: Chad, stop! Stop!
EJ: She's playing with you, Rafe.
Rafe: Yeah, maybe I can get used to that.
EJ: You certainly got used to it before, didn't you? When she was coming home to me.
Rafe: [Chuckles] You were never "home" for her.
EJ: She disagreed with you, mate.
Rafe: Oh, is that right?
EJ: Many, many times over.
Rafe: Yeah, you're not gonna get the chance to mess us up again.
EJ: I'm not gonna have to mess you up again.
Rafe: Really? How 'bout any time?
Kate: Do I need to throw a bucket of water over you two? What the hell is going on?
Rafe: Nope, not a thing.
EJ: Just think about this.
EJ: Nicole's baby... Samantha's never gonna stomach that, Rafe, and you know it.
Rafe: Okay. [Sighs]
Nicole: No, I am not still sleeping with Rafe.
Sami: Then what's the deal with the date on the photo?
Nicole: I don't know, okay? The picture was taken the night this little bun was cooked.
Sami: Oh, my god, you are disgusting about your own baby. God, Nicole.
Nicole: I'm sorry if this upsets you, okay?
Sami: The date?
Nicole: Fine, if you must know, I was looking at my pictures in my photo gallery, and I wanted to delete this picture. I guess I hit the wrong button.
Sami: Oh, right, 'cause you're so lousy with technology.
Nicole: Well, I'm pregnant. My brain is like mush. I'm sorry, Sami, okay? Please, could you just--could you just forget that you saw this picture, and please do not tell anyone about it? [Sighs] Okay, this looks pretty good. Pretty good, if I do say so myself, huh? I mean, it won't keep EJ off track for long, but at least it'll buy us some time. Now I just have to make sure the right person sees it.
Sami: Nicole, spare me. This entire thing is a set-up. When it comes to getting my family to eat breakfast,
Will: [Sighs] Are you sure that this is what you want?
Sonny: What, you're asking me that after I kissed you?
Will: Well, I don't know. I'm worried because, you know, I--your mom's not wrong about me--I do unfortunately have some baggage.
Sonny: Well, I mean, I do too. I have an overbearing mother.
Will: Oh, yeah. I know nothing about that. How is it? That must suck.
Sonny: This is pretty hot, right? Us talking about our moms like this? [Laughs]
Will: Yeah. Yeah.
Sonny: What do you--what do you want to do?
Will: Um, I don't know. I mean, we had a--we have a date planned, so maybe--you want to do that, or--? [Laughs]
Sonny: Yeah, I'd--I'd love to.
Will: Yeah? Okay.
Sonny: You want to go?
Will: Yeah, yeah.
Melanie: We both walked away feeling relieved. I mean, I could--I could feel how much he didn't want to be a problem to me, but that's it.
Melanie: It felt normal, almost.
Maggie: Yeah, that's how it feels with him at the house too.
Melanie: I'm glad.
Maggie: And trust me, Victor wouldn't have had it otherwise.
Melanie: Right, right.
Maggie: Neither would I. But if I'd thought that he was the slightest threat to you in any way, he wouldn't have been around. Period.
Melanie: I'm just sorry you were ever in the middle of everything.
Maggie: Mm, well, being in the middle of two people I care about, that's exactly where I want to be.
Melanie: And that's why we love you. [Giggles]
Maggie: I'm always on your side, sweetie, always.
Melanie: Even if I'm getting married super fast?
Maggie: Being in the middle, uh, means that I want whatever is best for you.
Melanie: Then you want me to be with Chad, 'cause he's a good man.
Gabi: Let him go!
Chad: I'm giving you one more chance! [Grunts]
Gabi: My god, are you okay? Why did you attack him, Chad?
Chad: He has Melanie.
Chad: This is Melanie's. What did you do with her?
Gabi: Chad, listen--
Chad: I've been looking for her all day--where is she?
Gabi: No, can you just listen to me?
Nick: She left.
Nick: Look--then you did have her. Where did you take her, huh?
Gabi: Chad, listen, okay? Damn it, just listen to me! She's with Maggie in her dad's apartment, trying on wedding dresses.
Chad: Oh, so that's your story, huh?
Chad: Look, I know you guys are working together, okay? I saw you this morning at Brady pub talkin', all secretive.
Gabi: Look, look! This is Melanie trying on her wedding dress, okay? She sent this to me. Look at the time on the message. She's fine, nobody has her!
Gabi: Are you okay?
Gabi: Let me see.
Nick: I'm okay.
Sami: Gee, Nicole, I would have thought you'd be so familiar with everything trash-related. Trash icons. Are you serious? You can't figure out how to delete a photo?
Nicole: Why are you being such a bitch to me?
Sami: Why did you shove that photo in my face?
Nicole: Why would I do that?
Sami: I don't know. To give me a permanent case of indigestion? Come on!
Nicole: All right, fine. When I took that picture, I wanted you to see it.
Sami: And you're asking why I'm being a bitch to you?
Nicole: You and EJ blew up my marriage, not to mention what you did to your own. Rafe was shattered.
Sami: Okay, okay, you do not get to talk to me about him.
Nicole: Fine, do you know what--I still wanted my revenge. And I was going to e-mail you that picture. I had my finger on the "send" button, but you know what? I decided against it.
Sami: Is this the part of the story where you become a better person?
Nicole: Look, I'm sorry you just got a big dose of reality, but you need to deal with it. The picture is the least of it, Sami. Rafe and I happened.
Sami: Past tense.
Nicole: Yeah, past tense, but when my son's born, he's gonna be a living, daily reminder, and I don't need him treated as if he's a problem. Our son deserves more than that.
Sami: You're having a boy?
Nicole: Yes. Baby boy Hernandez.
Sami: You're naming him "Hernandez"?
Nicole: Of course I am, that's his father's name. God, Sami, this would be easier on all of us if you could just get used to it.
Gabi: Okay, let me see, let me see. What--did Chad do this with his fist?
Nick: I might've hit something.
Gabi: Okay, okay, look, this is gonna need stitches.
Gabi: Yeah, okay, this one's gonna need stitches too, okay? We gotta go to the doctor.
Nick: Mm-mmm, we can't, Gabi.
Gabi: Nick, you're hurt.
Nick: It's not that bad.
Gabi: No, it is that bad. I can see it, you can't see it, okay? Let's go, we gotta go to the E.R.
Nick: Mm-mmm, they'll call the police. I'm on parole.
Gabi: So what? I'll just--I'll tell 'em that Chad started it. I was here, I can--I can tell them.
Nick: Doesn't matter.
Gabi: Okay, um, all right, there's somebody that I know, all right? Someone that we can trust, okay? I promise. Can you stand up?
Gabi: Okay, come on.
Gabi: Slow, take it easy.
Gabi: All right, lean on me.
Nick: Ugh. [Whimpers] [Blows air]
Gabi: Are you okay?
Maggie: I think it's perfect.
Maggie: Oh, you could be on the cover of a bride's magazine.
Melanie: Oh, I don't know about that. [Laughs] But I do say "yes" to this dress.
Maggie: Yes to the dress, no to those shoes.
Maggie: Where are your shoes?
Melanie: I don't have any.
Maggie: Oh, okay. Don't worry. Don't worry, I think I s-- I saw a beautiful pair in a new shop on the east side of the square, and you stay right there...
Melanie: Okay, go get 'em!
Maggie: And I'm gonna get them for you...
Melanie: Okay, okay!
Maggie: I'll be right back. Oh, my god, you're gonna be perfect. Oh, god, oh.
Melanie: [Laughs] Okay.
[Knock at door]
Melanie: Goodness. Oh, my--Chad.
Chad: Oh. Wow, Melanie, look at you.
Melanie: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, you can't look at me. That's bad luck.
Chad: No, no, no, n-- oh, you look...so beautiful.
Melanie: What are you doing here?
Chad: I-I-I couldn't find you.
Melanie: Oh, my phone. I'm sorry, I forgot it. They need to Velcro that thing to my hand. [Chuckles] What's going on?
Chad: I was worried. I-I was looking for you, and--
Melanie: Where did you find that?
Chad: Uh, this was in the square.
Melanie: Oh, I'm sorry. Must have dropped. I had it when I talked to Nick.
Chad: Wait a minute, you saw Nick?
Melanie: Yes, I did, uh, and we talked, but it's--but it's okay.
Melanie: It--it's fine. Everything--everything's fine. We had a really good talk.
Melanie: Yes, everything's fine. [Laughs] And we have nothing to worry about, not you, not me, not Nick, not anyone. Everything's gonna be okay. Isn't that great?
Kate: Is this seat taken?
EJ: Kate. Now, let's see, the last time that I saw you, it was your devout wish that I spend the rest of my life behind bars.
Kate: Mm. But that was it was more of a suggestion than anything with real conviction. Besides, I was in a lousy place, and so were you.
EJ: Yes, well, I still am, so if you could do me a small favor and go and annoy somebody else, I'd be awfully grateful.
Kate: Hmm. But I like annoying you so much. So what's going on? What has Sami done now?
EJ: And why do you assume it's Samantha.
Kate: Well, it has something to do with Rafe, right?
EJ: You know she's going to want nothing to do with him in the end, and he is a bloody fool if he thinks she's going to want anything to do with him now.
Kate: They're back together again?
EJ: No--yeah-- no, they're not, and they're not getting back together for a long list of reasons.
Kate: Hmm. Well, she would like to keep the two of you dangling, because that's what she does, so you should walk away. That would be the smartest move.
EJ: I know, I know.
Kate: But you can't, because you can't let her go, right?
Marlena: All right, what's going on?
Sami: Mom, I am like a bomb. I feel like I'm gonna explode.
Marlena: Can you give me a little more than that?
Sami: I think Rafe is coming around. I mean, I don't know, I don't know. I-I-I think, and I hope, and we're gonna talk about it. We're going to dinner tonight, and--
Marlena: Great, that sounds very promising.
Sami: I hope so. Do you believe it?
Marlena: I do. I think you and Rafe are a very good fit.
Sami: Me too.
Marlena: Mm. So what is the problem?
Sami: [Sighs] The bitch, Nicole Walker.
Nicole: Wow, you got here fast.
Rafe: Well, you sounded kind of freaked on the phone, so I, uh--but now you're grinning.
Rafe: You're happy?
Nicole: I am. Mm-hmm. Oh, god.
Rafe: That's weird, because I just ran into EJ. He didn't even leave town.
Nicole: I know, I'm takin' the lead.
Rafe: Okay, how's that?
Nicole: Well, I can't just wait around for him to order yet another paternity test.
Rafe: Uh-huh. Well, there's no guarantee he'd even get a court order.
Nicole: Well, I don't even want it to get there, so I'm making sure it doesn't. Well, at least I'm buying us some time.
Rafe: Okay. Nicole?
Rafe: What you up to?
Nicole: Well, I kinda photoshopped a picture of us in bed together.
Nicole: [Laughing] Yeah.
Rafe: Wow, that's, uh-- okay, how did you even get a picture of me that--
Nicole: That's your--that's your question?
Rafe: Okay, uh, why?
Nicole: Well, I made it look like the night EJ barged in on us.
Rafe: Uh-huh. Again, why?
Nicole: Well, if he had any doubts that we slept together, this will kill it.
Rafe: You think he had doubts?
Nicole: Yes. I think this whole thing is unreal for him. We never pretended we were a couple. There was no PDA, nothing to make this idea that we slept together real for him, so this will at least slow him down and make him think and give us time to find a way to head him off, once my son is born.
Rafe: Okay. Well, guess it's worth a shot. So, uh, when did you show him this picture?
Nicole: I didn't.
Rafe: You didn't. Okay, again the--the why.
Nicole: The why?
Nicole: Because, I mean, it would just be too obvious if I sent EJ this random email, and he's pretty tech-savvy, he'll probably see that it's a fake.
Rafe: So how is this plan supposed to work if he doesn't actually see the picture?
Nicole: Well, he hears about it from someone he does trust that has seen the picture.
Nicole: Mm-hmm. I showed it to Sami. It's perfect, isn't it?
Sonny: I'm sorry we had to stop by here.
Will: It's okay. I don't mind.
Sonny: Oh, you will, because the morning shipment went to a different vendor, and the only way they're gonna re-send it is if I'm here to sign for it in person.
Will: Wow, that makes you sound very important.
Sonny: Doesn't it? It's just that there's these, um, these special coffee stirrers that are in that order. [Laughs] Okay, um, I hate to postpone this date, but--
Will: No, you don't--don't. I don't know, I think coffee's a great first date. All right? And--and also I think I heard that they have some special coffee stirrers here.
Sonny: Yeah, they're eco-friendly and recyclable.
Will: Wow, sign me up.
Sonny: Oh, I can't believe we're gonna have our first date here.
Will: Works for me. At least I know you're gonna pick up the tab.
Sonny: Oh, you're a gold digger.
Will: Yeah, I want that cappuccino fortune.
Sonny: You don't, uh, you don't seem nervous at all.
Will: Neither do you. Is it okay if I ask you a serious question, though?
Will: Who pays when two guys go out?
Sonny: Uh, the guy who asks that question. [Chuckles] Come here. As far as I know, there are no rules, so why don't we just make 'em up as we go?
Will: Okay. Works for me.
Gabi: Hey. Dr. Johnson's gonna be here in a few.
Nick: This is trouble for her.
Gabi: No, no, no. This is no trouble at all, trust me. I mean, I've been working with her at the pub for months now. She's not gonna get you in trouble.
Gabi: No problem.
Nick: You stood in between me and a fist.
Gabi: I didn't think.
Nick: Yeah, I know.
Gabi: Uh, you should apply pressure to the other one too, 'cause it's bleeding a lot.
Nick: You didn't even ask.
Nick: Uh, about Melanie. Don't you wonder why I had her scarf?
Gabi: Well, I mean, the girl drops things everywhere. You found it, right?
Nick: She came to see me.
Gabi: Melanie came and found you?
Nick: Yeah. She wanted to talk... about everything. Everything she... she thought she was afraid of.
Gabi: Wow, I mean, so what happened?
Nick: Mm, it went really well. I think she felt really good afterwards, like... like she's okay with me now.
Gabi: That's really intense and really amazing. I'm really happy for you.
Kayla: Hey, Nick.
Nick: Well, hey.
Kayla: Oh. Somebody sure did a number on you. Who was it?
Nick: Uh, I don't know. I never saw the guy before.
Melanie: Baby, I know you have this, like, thing about Nick, but I promise, it's such a relief. I thought you would be, like, okay with that.
Chad: Why? Because the guy says what you want to hear?
Chad: Come on, Mel, the guy is obviously playing you. He wants you to let your guard down.
Melanie: Baby, no, I know Nick.
Chad: No, no, no, you--you don't know Nick anymore, okay? He's been in prison. You don't know how much he's changed.
Melanie: Okay, you're not ready to talk about him. That's fine, I get that, but when you are, you will be relieved.
Chad: The only thing I care about right now is keeping you safe. You get that, right?
Melanie: I-I do. I mean, it shouldn't be the only thing that you care about, but I-- baby, what is going on? Just doing my job.
Kayla: There you go. All right, try to keep that dry, all right? No splashing around in the sink over there at the pub, all right?
Kayla: Um, I hear my mom is giving you a run for your money.
Nick: Yeah, she's, uh, she's a good lady. I like the job.
Kayla: Has she had you clean out the grease traps yet?
Nick: Yeah, twice a day.
Kayla: Oh, well, then you have a job for life if you want it.
Nick: I'm grateful.
Kayla: Well, you're a smart guy. You deserve better.
Nick: I can do good wherever I am. I'm lucky anybody gave me a chance.
Kayla: Still, you deserve more.
Nick: I deserve to be in prison. I hurt a lot of people. That's on me.
Kayla: You don't duck, do you?
Nick: It's the only way. You know, it's like, as soon as I started to take responsibility for what I did, everything started to get better. Now I just want to make things better for the people that cared about me.
Kayla: You'll do that. Um, listen, I know you don't want to report this to the police, but I have the photos and a file documenting your injury, so if you change your mind, come see me, all right?
Kayla: How do you know the guy won't come after you?
Nick: He won't.
Kayla: How do you know?
Gabi: Uh, just a question. Is it gonna be much longer?
Kayla: I have a few more stitches I need to put in.
Gabi: Okay, um, I have a quick errand that I need to run, so I'll be right back.
EJ: You know, you really don't know me, Kate, or Samantha.
Kate: [Scoffs] I watched that girl nearly destroy two of my sons' lives.
EJ: Uh, n--oh, no, we absolutely understand that you hate her, we do, but that also blinds you.
Kate: Really? The success of my life's work has been my ability to know my enemies. You don't think I know exactly what she's gonna do with you?
EJ: I don't think that it's any of your business.
Kate: [Laughs] Sami's M.O. Is to pit men against each other, and I can see by the look on your face that you are totally willing to do whatever it takes to get Sami away from Rafe. You know, and maybe you'll even be successful. That doesn't mean that she's going to be yours.
EJ: And here I thought that I could just, you know, put her on my wall, like some sort of trophy.
Kate: [Laughs] Well, I don't know. Maybe that would be some satisfaction to you. I mean, maybe that would give you a sense of accomplishment, but you see, you want her to love you, and the sad fact is, she is incapable of genuine adult love. She can never make you happy. She can never make any man happy.
Nicole: Wow, I have never seen someone go this long without blinking. Oh, come on, Rafe. You have to see that this is a brilliant idea.
Rafe: Right. So you just...you flashed this fake picture of you and me in bed to Sami, huh?
Nicole: No, of course not, I made it look like an accident.
Rafe: [Chuckles] Right. [Clears throat] And how'd she react to that?
Nicole: [Laughing] How do you think? She was so angry. She accused me of setting the whole thing up.
Rafe: Which you did.
Nicole: Yeah, of course, I did, and I admitted to it eventually.
Rafe: As a distraction?
Nicole: Mm-hmm. Yeah, 'cause she didn't even question the picture, and you know she's gonna tell EJ.
Rafe: Mm, and you can be so sure of that how?
Nicole: Because I know the look on Sami's face, and she has to take her feelings somewhere, and she knows EJ will be just as angry.
Nicole: Rafe, I realize that this isn't the endgame, but you have to admit, it's a good distraction. And at the very least, it's not gonna do any harm.
Rafe: Yeah, maybe not for you. Just threw me under the damn bus. Ah...
Sami: So I threw something. Not at her, I mean, she'd already left. It was just--you know, I was venting.
Marlena: Well, nobody's finest moment, including Nicole's. Sami, you know that there's nothing between she and Rafe. Was she pretending there was?
Marlena: Well, then what's the problem?
Sami: Baby boy Hernandez. I mean, not the child, obviously. Not the child himself, but you know, if Rafe and I end up together again and he's sharing a baby with Nicole, then Rafe and I will be sharing Nicole, as a parent. [Scoffs]
Marlena: Yeah, but you worked that out when she was the stepparent to your children.
Sami: Not always, but she eventually learned where the line was.
Marlena: Of course, because you were the mother.
Marlena: And this time, somebody else is the mother.
Sami: Not just somebody, mom. Nicole.
Marlena: Would you like my opinion on this?
Sami: Maybe. No. Yes, I mean, obviously, yes, mom, you're here, please.
Marlena: Thank you. You're being hypocritical, and just a little bit selfish.
Will: [Laughs] [Clears throat]
Will: Nothing. Can I ask you a question? A--how do you run your own business, and go to school, and hang out with your family, and be good at all of it? You know? I mean, no wonder your mom is so proud.
Sonny: [Scoffs] I thought we declared a no-mom zone. We need a penalty.
Will: Okay, maybe I could pay on the next date?
Sonny: Done. You know, will, I don't want you to ever think that you're not good enough. You know, if you ever have any doubts or, you know, about you and me, about anything, I hope that you feel comfortable that you can come and talk to me. We can talk to each other.
Will: Yeah, I agree, yeah.
Sonny: And can we promise that we won't keep anything inside? No secrets? [Laughs] Really?
Sonny: All right.
Rafe: Sami and I have a date tonight.
Rafe: Yeah. Come on. You said yourself, I was still hung up on her.
Nicole: Yeah, and you swore you were 100% completely done with her.
Rafe: Yeah, well...
Nicole: Rafe-- I'm sorry. If I had known, I-I wouldn't have done it.
Rafe: Really? Even if it meant holding off EJ?
Nicole: Well, I would've talked to you about it first before I'd done it. [Laughs]
Rafe: Good, thanks.
Nicole: Um, I mean, is there anything I can do to make it better, or...
Rafe: You mean outside of admitting the photo's a fake?
Nicole: Okay, except for that? Rafe, please. I mean, this is EJ we're talking about and the baby and--
Rafe: Yeah, yeah, I know. Baby. Man. [Sighs] [Laughs] God. So, um, is it serious between you and Sami?
Rafe: No, it's just a date.
Rafe: She probably doesn't want to see me now anyway.
Nicole: Well, if it makes you feel any better, she'll probably blame me for everything.
Rafe: No, you're right. That'll probably help.
Nicole: You think?
Rafe: No, I don't. Whatever. It's done now anyway. Listen, next time--
Nicole: I will tell you first.
Nicole: I will ask you before I do anything.
Rafe: Good. Oh, look. No message that she's cancelled.
Nicole: Okay. What time you pickin' her up?
Nicole: Okay. Well, good luck with that. [Laughs]
Nicole: [Laughs] You're welcome.
Rafe: All righty. All right, listen, this, uh, this little art project of yours, do I want to see it?
Nicole: Yeah, no, definitely you don't want to see it. Nope, mm-mmm. Mm-hmm.
Sami: Actually, mom, I wasn't just thinking of me. I think Nicole is fully capable of trying to use this innocent child to try to hurt me.
Marlena: That would be a terrible thing to do to a child. Sami, has it occurred to you that if you're right about Nicole, Rafe will need you to be good about this? Look, this child will need a solid mother-figure, as much as your children need a solid father-figure, especially when EJ was at his worst.
Marlena: No, you don't agree with that?
Sami: No, mom, it didn't occur to me until you just said it.
Marlena: [Laughs] Sami, Nicole will have to admit one thing, as we all who know you will freely admit. You are a natural mother. Can you give that to this boy, who will need every possible advantage in life?
Sami: I would like to think that I'm capable of that, mom, but I don't know if I am.
Marlena: Oh. Well, I do know. I know that you are.
Chad: Everything's great.
Melanie: Everything is not great. Please, just tell me what's happening. Please?
[Knock at door]
Melanie: [Sighs] [Laughs] Hold that thought. [Clears throat] Gabi, hi. Did you get the picture that I sent you?
Gabi: Yeah, that's not why I'm here.
Chad: Uh, look, now's not a good time, right--
Gabi: Yeah, Melanie needs to hear what I'm trying to say.
Chad: Uh, n-n-n-n-n-no, uh--
Melanie: What are--
Chad: N--you--look, you don't need to do this right now, not--
Gabi: Yes, actually, I do, because Melanie needs to hear what kind of man she's marrying.
Melanie: I--I'm sorry, will you tell me what's going on right now?
Gabi: Chad, he beat Nick to a pulp today, okay, and I hadn't stopped him, then he would've killed him.
Sonny: Well, the coffee stirrers are here.
Will: Oh, thank god, because I chewed up all the other ones.
Sonny: Along with a week's worth of supplies for the entire menu. So it's gonna take me at least three hours.
Will: Okay, well, I don't know if I could drink that much coffee.
Sonny: I'm so sorry. Next time?
Will: Oh, yeah, sure, but I'm paying next time.
Sonny: No, I'm gonna pay, 'cause next time is still the first time, since I'm pulling the plug.
Will: No, no, this counts. I--I mean, I had a good time.
Sonny: I did too. We can do it again soon.
Will: Yeah, okay. Yeah. [Laughs] Soon, I hope--yeah, all right.
Sonny: All right.
EJ: Well, uh, Kate, it's been A...pleasure.
Kate: I'm sorry that it's hard to hear, but it's true. If it wasn't Rafe, it would be someone else, or it would be something else. Sami is always going to make you miserable.
Kate: You need to take care of yourself. You're going to have to take care of yourself till the day you die.
Rafe: Hey, there. You ready?
Sami: For what? More pictures of you with your slut? No, thank you.
Rafe: All right, Sami, there w--
Sami: No, no, I don't want to see you ever again. Get the hell out of here!
Rafe: Wait, wait, w-- hi.
Sami: Hi. On time, as usual.
Rafe: You ready?
Sami: I am.
Kayla: Extra bandages and some anti-biotic cream samples. You're good to go, okay?
Nick: Thanks. Uh, I'll--I'll pay you as soon as I--
Kayla: The samples are free, and so am I.
Nick: No, no, no, honestly.
Kayla: No, honestly, I know that your insurance hasn't kicked in yet, and you don't want this reported, right? You don't want a record.
Nick: Well, I don't--I want to pay my own way.
Kayla: Okay, then. You can work some extra shifts for my mom, how's that? And do a good job, mister.
Nick: [Chuckles] Okay, I will.
Kayla: Well, that's enough for me.
Nick: You sure this isn't gonna jam you up?
Kayla: I am chief of staff now.
Nick: Well, then it's really gonna mess you up if anybody finds out about this.
Kayla: Nick, you saved my life when I was exposed to the biotoxins, remember that?
Nick: [Laughs] That was a long time ago.
Kayla: Yeah, but I am alive today, thanks to you. So you are good to go. Take care.
Nick: I wonder where Gabi is.
Melanie: Is this true?
Chad: No, she's exaggerating.
Gabi: No, I'm not, because he's at the hospital right now getting stitches.
Nick: Okay, Gabi--Gabi--
Chad: Okay, look, I hit him a couple times.
Chad: He had your scarf, Melanie. I couldn't find you, you weren't answering your phone. I went looking for you. I mean, he had your scarf.
Melanie: Because I dropped it. [Chuckles] Why didn't you say anything?
Chad: Oh, trust me, I asked him--
Melanie: No, no, no, to me. Just now, when you came in, why didn't you say anything?
Gabi: Because he doesn't tell you things.
Chad: Stay out of this, Gabi.
Gabi: No, she's gonna hear me.
Chad: No, you know what? Get out of here!
Gabi: Melanie, there's something that I should've told you a long time ago, and I am not gonna leave here until you hear the truth.
