Melanie: Where have you been? I've been trying to get a hold of you because we have so many things that we have to do...

Chad: Do you love me, Melanie?

Melanie: What?

Chad: Do you love me?

Melanie: [Scoffs] Of course, I love you.

Chad: Okay, because I've been thinking a lot about this, and we need to leave Salem for good.

Melanie: Okay, yeah. I mean, that could be done. Do you wanna go to like Hawaii or...Cabo or anyplace that we can get like a big margarita?

Chad: Melanie...

Melanie: You're serious? You wanna just leave Salem?

Bo: Hey!

Hope: That's a shopping list. We need eggs. Oh, and cupcakes--chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, please.

Bo: I'm trying to figure out what I will do if I leave the department.

Hope: Well, let me take a look at this.

Hope: "Open detective agency." Check, you've already done that.

Bo: Yeah.

Hope: "Security consultant." Jeez, Brady, when did you become so boring?

Rafe: Okay, Nicole. Nicole! Listen, you need to calm down, all right? Now that we know what EJ's game plan is, we can deal with him. We got plenty of time. Listen, I need to call you back. All right. Hey.

Gabi: Rafe! Uh, what--

Rafe: What are you doing? You walk in, I'm sitting over there. You completely ignore me.

Gabi: Um--didn't notice you. Sorry.

Rafe: So do you wanna talk about it... whatever it is that's clearly on your mind?

Gabi: No, it's nothing. It's just girl stuff. Let's talk about you. What's going on?

Rafe: Me? Just guy stuff. Lame.

Gabi: Lame? Why don't you just tell me the lame story about why you got that bruise on your forehead, huh... and how the other guy's doing?

Rafe: Yeah, it's--

Lucas: It's all right here. Change of clothes, a blankie, and Mr. Squigs.

Sami: Perfect. Allie's so excited for the sleepover.

Lucas: She knows I'm picking her up tomorrow, right?

Sami: Yes, yes. And I told Heidi's parents, so it's all set.

Lucas: Now that you have Allie here, just try to keep the drama to a minimum, all right?

Sami: Wait, wait. Excuse me?

Lucas: Well, next time there's cage match between the cop and the criminal over who gets to hold your hand, I would prefer if Allie wasn't around for that. Just a little request.

Sami: Yeah, no problem. But actually, why don't you get your facts straight before you start throwing around accusations? Because that fight wasn't about me.

Lucas: Oh, really.

Brady: I just ran into Adrienne on her way out. She said the wedding is in two weeks.

Maggie: What?

Brady: What wedding is she talking about?

Maggie: Chad and Melanie's.

Brady: They're engaged? Since when?

Maggie: Yesterday.

Victor: Melanie want to marry a DiMera? Has the girl lost her mind?

Melanie: We just pick up and go?

Chad: Yeah, why not? We don't need to settle down here. We can live anywhere we want. So what do you say?

Melanie: What do I say? I say... when did it get so easy for you to lie to me?

Victor: Can't let Melanie marry that punk.

Brady: I didn't even know that they were engaged.

Victor: You gotta put your foot down.

Maggie: Please stop it you two! This is Melanie's life. I can't interfere with her plans.

Brady: Maggie, why not? Why not? If it's gonna keep her from making a big mistake. This is gonna blow up in her face and be terrible.

Victor: That's enough. You don't like this any more than we do, do you? I can tell. You're hoping that Melanie's gonna come to her senses all on her own, aren't you?

Maggie: You better believe it.

Chad: Mel, look. I'm not lying to you, okay? I think this makes sense for us to get outta here. It's a good plan.

Melanie: You are trying so hard not to say his name right now.

Chad: Whose name?

Melanie: Don't--don't pretend like you don't know what I'm talking about.

Chad: Look, this isn't about him.

Melanie: Yeah, it sounds like this is exactly about him. It sounds like your proposal is really to get us to run away from Nick. Guys, I've figured it out!

Victor: All right, there's no point in arguing. Melanie is making a mistake. I know it, Brady knows it, and so do you.

Maggie: What are you doing?

Victor: One call, we can put this whole engagement fiasco behind us.

Brady: Whoa, granddad. Hold on, hold on.

Maggie: Put that phone down.

Victor: She is not going to marry into that family of criminals.

Maggie: Chad is not like his father.

Victor: He is a DiMera, Maggie.

Brady: Granddad, she's in love with the guy. There's nothing you can do about that.

Victor: I can stop her from the twit. Yeah, it's, uh, me. I've got a job for you.

Maggie: I said stop.

Chad: I just wanna be with you, Mel, okay? Th-that's all. That has never changed and it never will.

Melanie: Fine, but I don't wanna run away.

Chad: I just wanna protect you.

Melanie: That's not your job.

Chad: Yes, it is! Nick made your life hell. He kidnapped you. He terrorized you.

Melanie: I know, I know what he did.

Chad: And when I think about what you went through with Andrew, I could never let anything like that happen to you again.

Melanie: That wasn't your fault. Okay? There is nothing you could've done to stop that.

Gabi: This is not all on me. If you would've noticed me-- noticed how I felt-- you know what? You could've told me, "Gabi, this is never gonna happen for us--I am never gonna be able to love you," then maybe-- maybe none of this would've ever happened to Melanie.

Melanie: So stop beating yourself up over that.

Gabi: Let me get this straight. You got into a fight with EJ.

Rafe: All right, look. I'm not proud of it. But the truth is it doesn't take a lot to set the two of us off. There's a lotta history there. None of it good. Not to mention the fact that I was a parental figure to his children for quite some time.

Gabi: Okay, wait. The fight was over Johnny and Sydney?

Rafe: No. It did not involve the children.

Gabi: Wait a minute. This was over Sami?

Rafe: No! It was not over Sami and certainly not in the way that you're thinking. I am not going back there. No way in hell.

Gabi: Okay, so then why--

Rafe: Because the two of them, they're toxic together, all right? They just set me off. If she wants to go out with him, it's her choice. Not my problem.

Gabi: Are you sure about that? Because I mean, if you are interested...

Rafe: No.

Gabi: In being with her--

Rafe: No, I'm not.

Gabi: I think it's a good thing.

Lucas: You gotta be kidding me. You don't think Rafe and EJ were fighting over you? Come on, Sami. I know what I saw.

Sami: Well, I know what I was told.

Lucas: You know what you were told? Okay, fine. So they weren't fighting over you. They just came to their senses and realized that you're just not worth it anymore. Is that it, is that what you're telling me?

Sami: Okay, thanks a lot, Lucas. Why do you have to be so mean? God!

Lucas: I don't know, I guess sparing your feelings isn't high on my priority list anymore.

Sami: Like it ever was.

Lucas: I just want you to be clear on where I stand. I want you to be perfectly clear how I feel.

Sami: Thank you, Lucas. I am clear: You don't care about me. I get it.

Lucas: No, I don't think you do get it. You know what? You know what your problem is, Sami? You can't stand to be alone. Is that it, right? Is that your problem? You're scared, aren't you?

Sami: I am not scared. And I am not afraid to be alone. What, are you and Rafe comparing notes now?

Lucas: Oh, he made the same observation, really?

Sami: It is not an observation, okay? It's an insult.

Lucas: Your abandonment issues are beyond legendary, sweetheart.

Sami: You are unbelievable. You think that, because I'm not with Rafe or EJ, I'm gonna come crawling back to you. That's what you're afraid of, isn't it?

Lucas: Oh, we can be civilized, can't we? We have children together. Come on, let's be civil to each other, let's try.

Sami: All right, yeah. Speaking of our children, have you talked to them lately?

Lucas: Yes, I talked to will. I worked things out with him. But that's not the point. You're missing the point, Sami. Probably intentionally. The point is I don't wanna be with you anymore. I am not interested in you anymore. Not in the slightest bit. Not even a little bit. Not zero, zilch, nada, zip!

Sami: Oh, yeah, you're breaking my heart. [Whispers] Keep your voice down!

Lucas: You know what, believe me, this is not where some guy tells a girl that he's really not interested as some kind of ploy. I am not interested in you. I am sick of the shenanigans you pull on me every single time I turn around.

Sami: Are you serious? What guys?

Lucas: "What guys" what? Sam what guys do that? I mean, I always thought that was a chick thing. Guys really do that? They'll say they're not interested, but really they are?

Lucas: I don't know. I'm not one of them-- I wouldn't know that.

Sami: Oh, right, right. But I mean, seriously, sometimes guys are really straightforward, but then they still say that? They'll say they're not interested, but then they are?

Lucas: [Chuckles] You are so unbelievable.

Sami: What? What's funny? Why are you laughing?

Lucas: Well, you're the queen of game playing, right? Guys can't play games too? Only girls can play games? Only you can play games over and over again? Every second of every day, ever since we've been together? I don't even know why we're doing this. I should go. I should go now.

Sami: Well, I'm not keeping you.

Lucas: Good, 'cause I'm leaving.

Rafe: You okay? Really?

Gabi: What? No! Look, I know--I know that Sami's hurt you. I get that, but I mean, she's still the same person that you fell in love with.

Rafe: Yeah, exactly. Which may be part of the problem.

Gabi: Okay, I'm sorry. You know, I--Rafe, I just want you to be happy.

Rafe: I'm fine, okay? Don't you worry about me.

Gabi: I know, I can't help it. You know what, Rafe? I have to tell you something.

Rafe: All right.

Gabi: The happiest I've ever seen you...

Rafe: Mm-hmm.

Gabi: It was when you were with Sami.

Rafe: Right.

Bo: There is nothing...

Hope: Hey!

Bo: Boring about my list.

Hope: There's nothing original about it.

Bo: Oh, come on. If I'm gonna leave the department--and that is a big if--I should pursue a job with my particular expertise.

Hope: I already know you're gonna laugh. But just bear with me, okay? Just try not to laugh too hard. I read an article in this magazine about how men can live longer, happier lives.

Bo: Mm. I've got the answer for that. You build the perfect motorcycle and marry the girl from the kissing booth.

Hope: No! Nice try, though. I love you, baby.

Bo: Thank you.

Hope: Okay, all right. The article says that men your age who...

Bo: Men my age? What's up--

Hope: Who change their careers and decide to pursue their dreams tend to live longer lives--they're happy.

Bo: Hmm. So you're saying if I do leave the force--

Hope: It should be to do something that you truly want to do. Something you've always wanted to do.

Abe: Let's see here, yeah. Look who we have here-- two of Salem's finest.

Hope: Abe!

Abe: Yes-ah! You know, Roman told me about the cutbacks at the station, and, uh, I'm hearing some other things about you too, Bo.

Bo: It's all just talk right now. We haven't made any decisions.

Hope: Hey, Theo. So good to see you, sweetheart. I've missed you.

Theo: You too, aunt hope.

Hope: And you too, dad.

Abe: Oh.

Hope: Oh, Abe. How are you guys doing?

Abe: We're doing just fine.

Hope: Yeah?

Abe: Yeah. Right?

Nick: Hey, little man. You lost? What's your name? I'm Nick.

Abe: Uh, Theo, you know better than to wander off, huh? Come on.

Maggie: You have your nerve. You know that? I mean, just because you don't like what's going on, it doesn't mean that you can call in a fix on the situation.

Victor: Why not? Don't you wanna stop her from marrying this clown? Wait a minute. She's not pregnant, is she?

Maggie: No!

Victor: Then I don't understand what the rush is. What's changed?

Brady: I think I know what's changed. It's Nick Fallon, isn't it?

Maggie: I have my suspicions. I just suspect that maybe Chad is doing this in order to protect her.

Victor: Oh, good god.

Brady: Did you tell Melanie that?

Maggie: I did, but it didn't go over very well. She was very unhappy that I wasn't happy.

Brady: All right, then. I'm gonna find Chad... and I'm gonna try to talk him into slowing things down, okay?

Maggie: Thank you, thank you.

Victor: I'll have Henderson bring the car around.

Maggie: No, uh, um-- Victor. You're gonna be like a bull in a china shop. Um, I need for you to stay here and do nothing.

Victor: Not exactly my forte.

Maggie: I know. Try it, okay? I'll call you from the car. Victor... no. I mean it.

Chad: I love you so much, and if I ever lost you--

Melanie: Where exactly do you think I'm gonna go?

Chad: You know what I mean.

Melanie: Let's not talk about it anymore, okay? That's over. Yeah?

Chad: Yeah.

Melanie: Good. Now I want to know what this is.

Chad: Well, why don't you open it up and find out?

Melanie: Why don't I open it? All right. It's very pretty wrapping. Oh, wow. Oh, my gosh, this is so beautiful.

Chad: I, um--I saw it, and it reminded me of you.

Melanie: Thank you. I love it.

Chad: It's, uh... [Sighs] It's, uh, Sonny. He wants me to come help him out at the coffee house.

Melanie: Oh, okay. That's all you. Um, I have plenty of wedding things to do anyway.

Chad: All right. I love you.

Melanie: I love you too. And no more talk about leaving town.

Chad: Okay. But, you know, if you ever change your--

Melanie: I am not gonna change my mind.

Chad: Okay. Wait till your kids move back home after college.

Kate: Yeah, well, you know what they say. The more you repeat a rumor, the more easily it's taken as a fact. Okay. I'll be in touch. Sami!

Sami: Oh, god. I'm really not in the mood, Kate.

Kate: Yeah, I'm not surprised, considering the pr nightmare you must be handling over there at countess Wilhelmina.

Sami: Wait, what? I don't know what you're talking about.

Kate: Oh, I'm sorry. I mean, I just assumed. It's all over the--the internet. You haven't heard?

Sami: Heard what?

Kate: About the conditions of your overseas factories. People are saying that there's gonna be an investigation into multiple labor law violations.

Sami: Kate, that is completely untrue. I don't know where you heard that, but--

Kate: Look, I'm just repeating what I heard, okay? From multiple sources, may I add.

Sami: Okay, look. I know exactly what is going on at countess W. And if something like that were happening, I would know about it.

Kate: Come on, you know that's not necessarily true. I mean, things easily slip through the cracks. Especially when you're expanding rapidly, as you are. I mean, you really don't want that kind of attention when you're trying to raise your profile, do you?

Rafe: Oh, yeah. No, you're right, Kate. You don't. Well, you don't. Let's just hope it doesn't come back to bite you in the butt too.

Brady: Sonny's not here.

Chad:'d you know I was looking for him?

Brady: Because that text you got, Sonny sent it for me. I wanted to talk to you.

Chad: Oh. Okay. You didn't think I'd come. So that means that this is about what, me and Mel and our engagement?

Brady: And your rush to get married, Chad, yeah.

Chad: I'm sorry, Brady, but what is this to you anyway? What do you care if Melanie and I decide to get married?

Brady: Hold on. Hold on, man. I'm just trying to help you out here.

Chad: Help? Like how you helped when she was missing in the first place?

Brady: What are you talking about? I was the one that found her. What do you mean?

Chad: Yeah, yeah, you were the big hero that day, right? I'm sorry, but it was the wrong person. Whoa, whoa, whoa.

Brady: Hold on a second. What do you mean by that?

Chad: You mean to tell me that's it's never crossed your mind that if you hadn't been down in those tunnels that maybe you would've been with Madison instead, and maybe she wouldn't be dead?

Melanie: So I guess you heard Chad and I set a date.

Maggie: Mm-hmm. Your wedding in two weeks.

Melanie: You're not happy.

Maggie: I just thought we would just have more time to plan your perfect wedding.

Melanie: Or I'd have more time to rethink this?

Maggie: I told you I just wanted you to make sure that you were doing this for the right reasons.

Melanie: I am. I love Chad.

Maggie: And Nick?

Melanie: You know what would be great, grandma? If you and everybody else just let me be happy with Chad and not talk about Nick Fallon for two seconds. I'm tired of defending myself to you and everybody else that claims to love me! Victor!

Hope: Right? So you go like this, boom! Boom!

Gabi: Hey, you're not off, are you?

Nick: Uh, no, I was just taking my break. Is that cool?

Gabi: Yeah. Yeah, sure. Are you okay? Did Chad come back here?

Nick: Uh, no, he didn't. And, yeah, I'm fine. Really.

Gabi: Do you need some company? I promise I won't bug you with questions.

Nick: Thanks, but, um, I just--I need some time to myself. I'll catch you later.

Gabi: Yeah.

Abe: I'm gonna head up a committee that's helping to rebuild the areas of the city that were hardest hit by the explosion, so... mm. But right now, I've gotta get this guy over to Cameron's before the meeting starts.

Hope: I didn't know you were a part of that.

Abe: Yeah, it's keeping me busy and it's definitely a cause I believe in. [Sighs] Look, um... just so I know I've said it, if you end up leaving the department, it's gonna be a huge loss.

Bo: Thanks, man.

Abe: Hey, man.

Bo: Means a lot coming from you.

Abe: Okay, buddy, let's go.

Bo: See you later!

Hope: Bye.

Abe: Yeah.

Bo: What?

Hope: Hearing something like that... make you reconsider your options?

Bo: It was nice, huh?

Hope: Yeah.

Bo: But no.

Hope: No?

Bo: No, not that I have any idea what the heck I'm gonna do. Maybe reading that article will help me decide.

Hope: Ah, couldn't hurt.

Bo: So... "pursue your dreams." You know, when I was a kid, I wanted to play second base for the cubs.

Hope: Mm-hmm.

Bo: Be an astronaut.

Hope: Broke your arm.

Bo: Fell off the roof, yeah.

Hope: Uh-huh.

Bo: Cowboy.

Hope: Mm-hmm.

Bo: But none of those panned out. And so I became a cop. That's who I am.

Hope: No! No, it is not who you are. It's your job. It has been for a long time, Brady. And you've done a great job. You're passionate about it. Just like you are about everything else that you do. But if you have a dream, and you wanna follow it--

Bo: Like being second baseman for the cubs?

Hope: Uh, well, no. Um, but that ship may have sailed by now.

Bo: Yeah.

Hope: But anything else, I say go for it. Do something you love. Don't give up on your dreams. Not ever.

Kate: Why would it come back to bite me?

Ah, come on, you know how rumors are. They circle around till everyone's affected. Especially on the internet. Always someone new to attack there.

Kate: Yeah, well, that's true. But they're talking about countess Wilhelmina factories, not mad world.

Rafe: Right, well, as countess W.'S main competitor, don't you think you're the next natural target?

Kate: Nope, I doubt it.

Rafe: Well, see, when I was with the bureau, I worked on a special task force for the FCC. I've seen it happen. And these internet things? They can get real bad real fast. 'Cause all it takes is one post or one thread and the thing goes viral. So hopefully you can nip it in the bud before it's too late.

Kate: Yeah, well, you know, once it's out there, I don't know what I can do about it.

Rafe: Well, these things are a lot more traceable than most people think. So...get it removed in time, I'm sure you and Sami will be just fine.

Kate: Well, that is so reassuring. You know what I think I'm gonna do, I'm gonna do my part, and I'm gonna prepare mad world just in case the tide turns. Sami.

Sami: Kate.

Kate: Hey. Okay, there's been a change in tactics. Delete the postings. Immediately.

Sami: Oh, my god, that was amazing.

Rafe: I'm sorry. I did not mean to interrupt, but she was just going on and on. I couldn't help myself.

Sami: Are you kidding me? Of course! That was awesome. You--I know how good it feels to give Kate a taste of her own medicine, and you were fantastic. You really came to my rescue.

Rafe: Yeah, well, let's not read too much into it, okay?

Sami: Sure. I mean, you know, it's happened a couple of times lately.

Rafe: Yeah, well, it's not like she was trying to mug you.

Sami: Well, ha, no. But certainly Kate's version. It just makes me curious, you know, why you go out of your way for me. Makes me think that maybe you, um, still care about me.

Rafe: [Snorts]

Kate: Two olives, right?

Victor: Who let you in here?

Kate: Henderson. And don't you be too hard on him. You know he's always had a soft spot for me.

Victor: What do you want?

Kate: Well, we need to discuss business.

Victor: Be quick. I haven't got all day.

Kate: Okay. I wanna know exactly how we're going to crush Sami, Brady, and countess Wilhelmina in one fell swoop. Okay, you're in a mood.

Victor: How astute of you? No wonder Sami's never been able to get the drop on you.

Kate: Mm. Obviously this is not a good time. Let me guess. Trouble in paradise? Victor. Come on. You know you can talk to me.

Brady: Hey, hey, hey. If you ever talk to me about Madison like that again, I'm gonna put you through a wall, all right?

Chad: You're right. I'm--I...was completely out of line. I--I don't know why I said that.

Brady: Chad, what is wrong with you?

Chad: I don't know, okay? Look, I know that you saved Melanie. And I owe you everything. I'm really sorry, okay, but I'm just--I'm under a lot of pressure right now, okay?

Brady: I can see that. Let me take a stab at why. Is he name Nick Fallon?

Chad: Yeah.

Brady: If you're under all this pressure, do you think now is the right time to get married? Honestly?

Chad: I mean, I love Melanie. And I wanna be with her. I want--I wanna marry her.

Brady: I understand that. I'm not saying don't marry her. All I'm suggesting to you is maybe take a step back and let everyone get adjusted to the way things are right now.

Chad: And what if I don't see the point in waiting?

Brady: The point is that getting married supposed to be the happiest time in your life, and this is clearly not that. Chad, just take it easy. Just take it easy. Take a couple months, whatever it takes. But step back, reevaluate... or this thing might fall apart. Is that what you want?

Maggie: I'm sorry you feel I don't approve of what you're doing.

Melanie: Because you don't.

Maggie: I'm just concerned, Melanie.

Melanie: Yeah, I know. That's what you keep saying. I don't understand why Adrienne is the only one that's happy for me.

Maggie: Adrienne?

Melanie: Yeah. See, when I told her, she had the kind of reaction that I was hoping you would have. 'Cause she was happy for me. And she hugged me and she said she was excited and that she couldn't wait to see me and Chad walk down the aisle.

Maggie: Honey, I repeat. I still don't understand what the rush is in doing this.

Melanie: Why does it matter? I wanna get married. Why isn't that enough? Why does it...matter if it's two weeks or two years, grandma?

Maggie: Oh, Melanie.

Melanie: You know what? No. I don't wanna do this. I have a fitting for my wedding dress that I'm gonna wear when I walk down the aisle with the man I'm gonna spend the rest of my life with, and I don't wanna focus on you and everybody else thinking that I'm making a big mistake.

Maggie: You're right. You shouldn't have to think about that. You do know that I love you with all my heart. And if you think this is really the right thing for you and the right time, and if this is what you really want, then no more questions, no more ambivalence. I support you, 100%. I'd consider it a great privilege to watch you walk down the aisle.

Melanie: So what's the catch?

Maggie: No catch. I've come around, that's all. I want what's best for you. Don't listen to what I say or what anybody else tells you. You listen to your heart. Because you, my dear, sweet girl, you're strong... and you're smart...and brave. And I believe in you. And that's all I have to say. It's what I should've been telling you all along. What can you do with curly, frizzy hair?

Bo: Hey. This is it.

Hope: Hey.

Bo: My list is complete.

Hope: Wow! You have a lot to choose from.

Bo: Yeah. I mean, most of it's kind of crazy stuff, but... that's kind of fun, you know? Thinking about my dreams, my aspirations... putting them on paper. It's rather liberating.

Hope: Feel like leaving the force will be liberating, a relief?

Bo: You bet. Won't be getting up every morning to go into the office and bang my head against the wall.

Hope: Oh, my god, seriously? You are the biggest exaggerator.

Bo: Oh, yeah.

Hope: Brady, it has not been that bad.

Bo: How many times, over the last few years, have we sworn to get the DiMeras? Make them pay for what they've done.

Hope: A few.

Bo: A few hundred times, yeah. And what happens every single time? Nothing. And we both know how that feels.

Hope: Yeah, all too well.

Bo: And is it gonna change? No. Every time we get close to nailing them, they jump through a loophole, they pay off a judge, a mayor, a governor. This last time, they worked for the friggin' FBI.

Hope: Okay, no more caffeine for you. Clearly, you're very passionate about this.

Bo: No, I'm-- I'm fed up is what I am. And there is nothing on this list that's gonna be anywhere near that frustrating.

Hope: Well, I'm happy to hear that. Because the last thing I would ever want is a frustrated husband. It's true. The system has tied our hands almost every which way we turn.

Bo: Got that right. You know what? I been thinking.

Hope: Yeah? What have you been thinking? What?

Bo: Nothing.

Hope: No, don't do that. Brady, that's not fair.

Bo: Oh, my goodness. Look at the time.

Hope: Oh, you are so lucky. Time for me to go bang my head up against the wall for both of us.

Bo: Yeah, I've got another hour or so, so I'll catch you later.

Hope: Okay. Mwah. Love you.

Bo: Love you too.

Hope: I'll see you later, Brady--you'll do fine with it.

Bo: All right.

Hope: Hey.

Bo: Hmm?

Hope: Astronaut, cowboy, Indian--I love you.

Bo: Mm. Thanks.

Hope: No matter what.

Bo: Love you too. Okay. If I wasn't a cop, my hands wouldn't be tied. Better not put that on the list.

Rafe: Come on, Sami. Why are you doing this, huh?

Sami: Wha--what am I doing? I just wanna know what's going on. I wanna know how you feel. I mean, look, when you walked out, I thought I was never gonna see you again.

Rafe: Yeah, for good reason.

Sami: Yes. But now here you are, and it just seems like we've seen each other a lot lately. You telling me to stay away from EJ.

Rafe: Well, that's just common sense.

Sami: Why do you care who I date? I mean, if you've moved on and that's final and that's the truth, then that's something I can deal with. But it just seems like everything that's been happening--I just wanna know. I wanna know the truth.

Rafe: The truth. Okay, um... I thought I would never get past what happened. I mean, how you broke up our marriage, how I felt every time I looked at you because of that.

Sami: But...

Rafe: I don't know. I don't know.

Sami: Well, then let me tell you how I feel. Every time I look at you, I am so mad at myself for what I did. I don't understand of how I could let go of something-- how could I not-- I'm talking too much already.

Rafe: No, no, no.

Sami: [Clears throat]

Rafe: It's okay.

Sami: I just would like time. If it's okay with you, I think we could just talk, you know? I mean, maybe we could just sit down somewhere and talk about everything and just... just see where it goes.

Victor: Once again, your... keen powers of observation have betrayed you. My mood has got nothing to do with Maggie.

Kate: Then what?

Victor: Chad DiMera. He's in a rush to marry Melanie in a misguided attempt to try and protect her from Nick Fallon.

Kate: Oh. And you have objections?

Victor: Many. I could handle the whole Nick situation with one call.

Kate: Well, then why don't you? Oh. Did Maggie say no? That woman can be such a goodie two shoes sometimes.

Maggie: Oh, and one of my shoes is about to kick your behind out of here, Kate. You have exactly ten second. 10... 9...

Kate: Thanks for the drink. Maybe next time I'll be able to finish it.

Maggie: Don't count on it.

Kate: Buh-bye.

Victor: I can explain, Maggie.

Maggie: Victor... I love you. Kate's gone. So perhaps it's best if you quit while you're ahead. I missed you.

Melanie: Hi.

Nick: Hey. Sorry, um, I was just-- I was just going.

Melanie: No, don't. Please.

Nick: Don't worry. You're not chasing me off. I just--I have to get back to work.

Melanie: No, it's okay. I mean, I was looking for you.

Nick: I don't understand.

Melanie: We need to talk... about everything.

Hope: And, uh, I'm hearing some other things about you too, Bo.
