Sami: Oh. Hey, I was just let out on bail this morning.
Rafe: I know. I mean, this isn't a police state. You can't follow me around, stalking me.
Sami: I'm not following you. I just was having some coffee. I think I left my keys on the table.
Rafe: These keys?
Sami: Those are the ones. Yeah, I think I... just left 'em there. Well, I wasn't trying to steal 'em or anything.
Rafe: No, I didn't say you were.
Sami: They were just lying there--laying there. I always get that wrong. Oh!
Chad: You just missed Melanie. She went to go check on Brady. She went to go work at the hospital.
Daniel: What do you mean? What, she went back to work already?
Chad: Yeah, she's determined, uh, to get her life back to normal--like, really determined.
Daniel: Yeah, yeah. No one does determined quite like her.
Chad: I tried talking her out of it, but--
Daniel: There's no point in trying.
Chad: Listen, I'm, uh-- I'm kind of worried about her. She won't talk about anything that happened. She won't talk about that guy. She keeps everything bottled up inside, and, uh--
Daniel: And, uh...?
Chad: I have a bad feeling that if anything went wrong, she could just--she'd explode.
Julie: Oh, Melanie, I am so glad to hear you say that... because then you won't stand in his way.
Melanie: Stand in whose way?
Julie: Nick. At his parole hearing.
Melanie: Nick's up for parole?
Julie: Didn't you know?
Melanie: How would I know that?
Julie: Well, the parole board sent you a letter. As a victim, you're entitled to know whenever they schedule a hearing.
Melanie: You know what? I wasn't getting a whole lot of mail when I was handcuffed to a pipe down in the tunnels.
Julie: Oh, Melanie, I didn't mean to upset you. I thought you knew this.
Melanie: Wait a minute. What you were saying-- that you don't want me to stand in his way. So you want me to help you get Nick out of prison?
Julie: Well, maybe not help, but not hurt his chances. He's not the same person, darling, and he will never, ever bother you again.
Melanie: You're right, as long as he stays in jail.
Julie: Melanie, I'm sure this is a great shock, but overreacting is not gonna help anybody.
Maggie: Julie! That is enough. If you think she's overreacting, well, I think you have a hell of a lot of nerve.
Hope: Hey, Nicky.
Rafe: Well... thanks for the keys. How's the wrist?
Sami: Oh, uh, it's much better... thanks to you.
Rafe: I believe it was actually thanks to me that you incurred that injury in the first place.
Sami: Well, you're right about that--you and your brutal interrogation tactics.
Rafe: I'm sorry about that. Keep icing it, the swelling will go down.
Sami: Are you really sorry?
Rafe: Well, yeah. I am.
Rafe: I was--
Nicole: Hi! Hey! Look who it is, baby. It's daddy!
Rafe: Hi, Nicole! How are you?
Chad: I want to help her get through this, but I just-- I don't know how.
Daniel: You know what, dude? You just play it by ear.
Chad: [Scoffs, sniffs] Yeah. Yeah. [Sighs] You know, one of--one of the things that I love about Melanie is-- is that I always know what she's thinking, you know, and... most girls are-- there's so much guesswork. You know, but Melanie--she's always right there.
Daniel: Just not right now.
Chad: She had a nightmare, and, um, she was talking in her sleep. She yelled out his name. I think that's a pretty natural reaction, right?
Chad: But it wasn't about this time. She kept begging a Nick to stop hurting her. And this morning when--when I asked her about it, she refused to talk about it.
Maggie: Honey, I am so sorry. I just heard myself. I wanted to tell you in person.
Maggie: Are you all right?
Melanie: The timing could've been better.
Maxine: Bad news?
Melanie: No, uh--no. Mrs. McGivern needs her X-Ray.
Maxine: Oh, I'll help you.
Melanie: Okay. Julie, it's always a pleasure.
Julie: Melanie, I'm so sorry!
Maggie: I can't believe you did this.
Julie: I thought she already knew. I just wanted to talk to her about it.
Maggie: My granddaughter has been through hell. You just made it worse.
Nick: Thank Ciara for me, will you? Tell her I have a scrapbook of the drawings she's done for me.
Hope: She'll be really happy to hear that. Yeah, of course I will. We're very proud of you, Nick.
Nick: Why? I haven't done anything to be proud of.
Hope: Your record says you've been over three years clean and sober.
Nick: It's not hard to be sober when you're in jail and you can't get a hold of any drugs.
Hope: Oh, Nick, come on. You and I both know you could get your hands on whatever you want in this place. They never would've approved a parole hearing if they did not think you deserved it.
Nick: It's just routine. It doesn't mean anything, not really.
Hope: Is there some reason you're so negative about it?
Nick: I'm not being negative. Trust me, I'm not being negative, but... you learn in here not to show how you feel... not to let anyone know you want something.
Hope: And you do want this.
Nick: I deserve to be in here, okay? I know what I did. I know what I did to Melanie, I know that I killed a man. And I know that I'll never do anything like that ever again. I know that. I'll never take another pill. But... if I got out of here-- don't laugh when I say this, but... I thought maybe I could atone.
Hope: I'm not laughing. I'm not sure I understand.
Nick: Here... I don't do anything wrong. But I don't do anything right. I'm not helping anyone. I'm smart, but it doesn't mean anything. It doesn't serve a purpose. And I don't want to get out of here so I can, you know, go party. I want to make my life mean something. I want to help people. So, yeah, I want this parole... more than I've ever wanted anything. What is it?
Hope: Melanie. It's bad news.
Nicole: I thought you were on the lam with EJ.
Sami: We were. But it turns out there's no need to be on the run, 'cause Stefano's alive. So even Rafe can't prove that he was killed by EJ.
Nicole: Life is something. Isn't it? I mean, one day Stefano is dead, and EJ is gone, and bam-- there they are, they're back. I thought all my prayers were answered. I thought all of Salem's prayers were answered.
Sami: They missed you too.
Nicole: Yeah, nice. You know, I really hate to pry. But since you were planning to go on the run with EJ, I guess you two are getting along much better than when you shot him. [Laughing] Oh, wait, no. I forgot. You had that little tryst with him, right? You know, the one that broke up your marriage.
Rafe: Okay, okay, I think that's enough.
Nicole: It's her loss.
Nicole: My gain, right?
Sami: If you weren't pregnant right now...
Rafe: Well, but she is pregnant, so... why don't the two of you just go to your neutral corners and-- I don't know-- grow up?
Hope: He held her captive for a long time. I don't think there can be any doubt that it stirred up memories.
Nick: Horrible memories... of what I did to her.
Hope: I don't know for sure. I haven't spoken to her, Nick. I know Maggie's very worried about her.
Nick: You know what's horrible? You tell me what that guy did, and I hate him for it. How am I supposed to expect anybody to forgive me, not think of me like that?
Hope: I don't think you should go there. Nick, like you said, you're not the same person you were. And your family has absolutely forgiven you.
Nick: Melanie's not my family. She's my victim. And she's the one that gets to testify at my hearing.
Melanie: Maggie's, like, the nicest person in the entire world, but if you get her mad--
Maxine: I'll tell you. If I was that other woman, I'd be scared. You got to be careful of them redheads.
Julie: I already told you, Maggie, it was not my intention to upset Melanie. I'm deeply sorry!
Maggie: So you're gonna back away, and you're gonna leave her along.
Julie: Well, all right. But I think you should speak with her.
Maggie: Damn it, Julie! I am not going to do your dirty work.
Julie: It isn't dirty work! I'm not trying to hurt Melanie. I'm trying to help Nick. I visit him at the prison, and every time I see him, he looks stronger. He looks more like himself.
Maggie: I've talked to him too.
Julie: Well, then you've seen that place. Now he has a chance to get out, to have a life. Dear God, Maggie, don't you care about that boy at all?
Maggie: No. I just took him into my house because I felt lukewarm about him. Of course I love Nick! But I love Melanie too. And I know how fragile she is right now.
Julie: Do you think it would be fair if Nick wound up paying for something that some other guy did to Melanie? Because that's the way it could all turn out.
Sami: So I appreciate that she is the mother of your child and that you are chivalrous, but under no circumstances will I allow her to speak to me like that, and I also don't appreciate you telling me to grow up.
Nicole: Well, I think it's pretty good advice. You have a passel of children, yet you were ready to run off with a criminal.
Sami: I don't have to explain myself to you.
Nicole: No, because you'd rather play Bonnie and Clyde than take care of your children.
Rafe: All right, what did I just say? Cut it out. Now, you--you started it. And you, of course--you took the bait. So why don't you-- why don't you two just keep some distance? And it will be a hell of a lot more peaceful.. for everyone!
Nicole: Okay, fine.
Nicole: But I still need to talk to you in private... about the baby-- our baby.
Rafe: Hmm. Thank you, Nicole.
Rafe: So thank you for finding my keys, and... ice the wrist, okay?
Sami: Yeah, I will. Thanks. Thank you for dismissing me so nicely. It almost makes you seem like you're not henpecked. Bye, Nicole. I'll let EJ know you said hi.
Rafe: Well... So let me point out some rather obvious aspects of your situation. Now, as much fun as it may be to taunt Sami about EJ--
Nicole: It was really fun, actually.
Rafe: Well, that's great, but don't you think you're tipping your hand a little bit? I mean, do you really want Sami asking, "why is the all-so pregnant Nicole still worried about EJ?"
Rafe: And another thing-- when someone is doing you a favor and that person really isn't getting much in return for that favor, maybe you shouldn't be such a bitch to them.
Nicole: You're talking about you, aren't you?
Rafe: Yeah, I didn't like those scenes. Maybe you should start focusing on things that I do like.
Nicole: All right, all right.
Rafe: All right?
Nicole: I'm sorry.
Nicole: Okay, but I'm not sorry for you being free of her. I'll tell you, you are much better off with Carrie than you are with her.
Rafe: Carrie went back to Switzerland with Austin. Why doesn't anyone understand that? She's gone, okay?
Nicole: I'm--I'm sorry.
Rafe: All right.
Nicole: And I know that you're doing more than just a favor for me--you're saving my life and my baby's life.
Rafe: Yeah, well, you're not so bad.
Nicole: Well, Daniel too-- you know, he still agreed to keep the, um, paternity switch a secret. And I'm just so grateful that I have such amazing, caring friends. And I really am. I'm really sorry that I upset you and was a bitch. I'm just--I'm not a serene pregnant lady.
Rafe: Nicole. You're all right, okay?
Nicole: I wasn't lying when I said I was emotional. While you were gone, I almost lost the baby.
Rafe: You what? Oh, my God, are you serious?
Nicole: Daniel was great. Everything's fine. I just got... a little rattled-- 'cause you know how much this baby means to me.
Rafe: I know. Yes, yes, I know. I know.
Nicole: So I made one of my vows-- I mean, with the exception of lying that you're the father. I'm gonna try really hard to be honest.
Rafe: Wow. Oh, that's good. I mean, you might need a program for that.
Nicole: Hey! How many times have I told you, "don't be mean to the pregnant lady"?
Rafe: I'm not, I'm just saying.
Nicole: It's not-- it's not fair for you to laugh at me when I'm trying to tell you that I want to be more honest about my feelings.
Rafe: No, you're right. Okay, that's good. All right, first test--
Rafe: How are you feeling right now?
Nicole: I'm hungry, okay? So, hey, buy me something to eat. We have a lot to talk about, honestly.
Rafe: Is that right?
Nicole: Mm-hmm. Yes.
Melanie: My Grandma's defending me. I never thought I'd even have a Grandma, and now I have the best one in the whole world.
Julie: Nick is rehabilitated, Maggie. He paid for what he did. He's earned his right to be free. Now, if Melanie is so scared by what happened to her that she decides to stand in Nick's way, Nick will wind up paying for a crime that another man committed. That's not fair!
Maggie: What happened to Melanie is not fair. And my priority is to get her past it.
Julie: So Nick be damned, huh?
Maggie: Nick can wait! We have no idea how Melanie is gonna react. And she's still reeling from that little bomb that you just dropped on her. I am not gonna let anyone pressure her into doing or saying anything she doesn't want to. So... just back off, Julie, because the ball is in Melanie's court. And that's that.
Hope: I just thought you should know. But like I said, I-- I haven't spoken to her. I don't know how she's gonna react.
Nick: Remember my trial?
Hope: Yeah. Yeah, of course I do.
Nick: Things would be a lot worse for me if Melanie hadn't said what she'd said and forgiven me. She didn't deserve what I did to her. And she sure doesn't deserve to have to go through something like that again.
Hope: No, she absolutely does not. Maybe, uh... maybe this hearing could turn out to be a positive thing for Melanie... because she could see that she was right in forgiving you, Nick. She could see that you have changed.
Nick: You know what, Hope? I think that's a lot to ask.
Sami: Oh! Ah, I missed you! I missed you so much!
Allie: I missed you too, Mommy.
Sami: I am so glad that I am home.
Allie: I love you, Mommy.
Sami: Oh, Pumpkin, I love you too. I love you so much. Oh! I could squeeze you all day.
Allie: Can I go finish my picture with Becky now?
Sami: Yes, of course you can. You know, I'm always a huge supporter of the arts. Let's do it. So is Lucas gonna meet you here to pick her up?
Woman: Uh, yeah, he should be here any moment.
Sami: Speak of the devil. Hey. I, uh, want to talk to you.
Lucas: News flash-- I don't want to talk to you.
Nick: Like I said before, I thought a lot about what Melanie said at my trial, and... I thought maybe she'd say something like that again at the hearing.
Hope: You know what? Maybe she will.
Nick: You know, since I've been in here, I've done a lot of work looking at things from other people's perspectives, not just my own.
Nick: Meaning that after what Melanie's been through, I would never in a million years... ask her to do anything on my behalf.
Maggie: I'm sorry you had to find out about Nick like that.
Melanie: You did everything you could to prevent it.
Maggie: You feeling any better?
Melanie: I have a headache.
Maggie: [Sighs] Sometimes I could just throttle Julie.
Melanie: It's all right. One, you know she thought I already knew. And two, she loves Nick. She's just trying to help him. I can't be mad at her for that.
Maggie: So you can be mad at her for being unbelievably insensitive.
Melanie: You could do that for me.
Melanie: I know you love Nick too. You don't have to pretend like you don't.
Maggie: Yes, I do love Nick. And I want what's best for him. I'm just not sure that Julie is the one to make that particular call.
Maggie: So, come on... let me drive you home.
Melanie: Oh, that's okay. I got it.
Melanie: Is this one of those things that I'm not supposed to argue with you about?
Maggie: Well, you can. But you know what? You're not gonna win. [Laughing] Oh, I love you.
Melanie: I love you too.
Nicole: Sadly, I've always gone for the bad boy and the dangerous boy like EJ, right? I mean, that's dumb. But there you have it. So, again, say here's this man, and he's--spends his whole life taking care of other people. And he's admired, and he is respected. And suddenly I'm thinking underneath that maybe I'm not good enough for him.
Nicole: And I don't face how I truly feel about him.
Nicole: Rafe, these feelings are strong. They're so strong. And it's like I've known this guy for years. And all of a sudden, it's like, "hello, I so want all of you."
Rafe: Hello! Yeah, well, I just-- you should be careful, because those feelings that you may be feeling--they just may be gratitude.
Nicole: Believe me, I'm very grateful. But this is so much more than that.
Rafe: Right. Okay, how-- mm. Okay, I don't know how to say this exactly, but the feelings that you're feeling--I'm just not sure that I feel the same way about you.
Rafe: I'm sorry.
Nicole: You thought I was talking about you? [Laughing] I'm sorry.
Nicole: [Snorts] Mm!
Rafe: Oh, wow.
Sami: Look, I think maybe you're feeling a little hostile.
Lucas: Maybe. Yeah, maybe I am.
Sami: And I totally understand that--I do. I hurt you.
Lucas: Don't tell me what you did to me. Don't tell me how I feel.
Sami: I didn't mean to lead you on.
Lucas: Oh, you didn't? You were totally sincere when you said you wanted us to be together? You meant that with your heart and soul--what, for a few days?
Sami: It was more than a few days.
Lucas: Oh, right, I guess time flies when you're being played like a total jackass.
Sami: Okay, I didn't mean for that to happen. I really wanted for us to--
Lucas: What? What? What did you want? You wanted to see if you could get me to fall in love with you again? Was that it, Sami? What am I, your ego boost? What, did you say to yourself, "I am so hot, it doesn't matter what I did to Lucas in the past. He'll always come back to me no matter what"?
Sami: Now I think you're being unfair.
Lucas: Oh, I'm being unfair? Really?
Sami: Would you rather I be in prison still? I'm the mother of two of your children.
Lucas: I'd rather you didn't run off with EJ--that's what I'd rather. I'd rather you didn't ditch your kids.
Sami: He's innocent.
Lucas: It doesn't matter if he's innocent--that's not the point. Maybe of that crime he is, but... you know what the point is? We shouldn't even be talking right now, 'cause you made your choice.
Sami: I would've done the same thing for you.
Lucas: Listen to me and listen to me good. Obviously you have moved on. You're done with me. So you know what, Sami? I am done with you.
Maggie: Now you promise me you're gonna take it easy.
Melanie: I promise.
Maggie: Oh, Chad, if you have to go out, I can stay here with her.
Chad: Okay, what happened? What's wrong here?
Maggie: Uh, well, it was just sort of a mistake.
Melanie: No, uh, well-- it was a mistake for me to go back to work so soon. 'Cause remember I got a headache? So--but I took some aspirin. And I'm okay now. But thank you so much for, um, the ride home. I appreciate it. And, um--and I will be fine. I promise.
Maggie: You're not gonna tell him, are you?
Melanie: I'm gonna wait until we're alone.
Maggie: Take it easy, okay? We'll work it out. Chad.
Melanie: Ah. Grandma’s. She tends to overreact, so... just don't hover, okay?
Chad: Would I offend you if I gave you a hug?
Melanie: No. You deserve a second chance. You really are a good person. [Crying] Do me a favor and... you be good to yourself.
[Cell door rattles]
[Knock at door]
Hope: Hey. Hi.
Melanie: This is just--this is not a good time.
Hope: I know. I know. I'm sorry. This came to the station. It's policy to deliver letters like this in person.
Melanie: I know what the letter's about. I don't need one.
Chad: [Clears throat] Oh, hey, Hope.
Hope: Hey, Chad.
Chad: Uh, what's that?
Melanie: Uh, you're gonna find about it sooner or later, so...
Hope: I'm gonna get going, but I just want you to know... you don't have to do anything. But if you choose to, you could write a letter to the parole board or testify in person or... you could do nothing at all.
Melanie: Is that what you guys would want?
Hope: Melanie... this is absolutely, 100% your decision. And I really am sorry about the timing.
Chad: So you, uh... you knew about this? This is why you came home? This is why Maggie was so worried about you?
Melanie: Look, um...
Chad: You didn't even bother to tell me. Why?
Nicole: Are you crazy? I totally had a crush on you early on. You were so... sweet to me about the baby.
Nicole: Yeah. But, uh, if you recall, sir... uh, you tried to use the fact that you are attractive to get information out of me. So don't get all huffy puffy.
Nicole: Okay? Look, Rafe, the fact that you're my friend--that means the world to me.
Rafe: Fine. So who is this guy, then-- this guy who's all that?
Nicole: [Clears throat]
Sami: Okay, I get it--you're mad. You have every right to be. But we have to stay civil for the kids.
Lucas: Oh, right, right. I know. I know what that argument is. That's your free pass to do whatever you want when you want, right? And I'm not supposed to react? Those days are gone.
Sami: I know you're mad.
Lucas: You know, another thing--I think our kids should learn about cause and effect. I really do. See, that way, when mommy calls daddy and tells daddy to drop everything, to be there to help mommy with Will... and all mommy does is play daddy and does whatever she can to come between daddy and his fiancé--so, when daddy finally says, "yeah, mommy, I really do want to be together with you. I love you. I always have. What does mommy do? Mommy runs off with the dirt bag EJ. That's what mommy does!
Sami: Okay, okay. We have to keep our voices down.
Lucas: And you know what? Maybe it's good that they hear this. Maybe it's good that they see that I'm a little upset. I mean, wouldn't it be a little surreal if I wasn't? Maybe they wouldn't be so inclined to repeat the same mistakes that daddy keeps making over and over again. You know what? You chewed me up, and you spit me out when you were done with me. So now, Sami, I'm done with you.
Melanie: I, um...
Chad: Look, I just--I just want to help. But I can't when you keep shutting me out.
Melanie: I just found out today... earlier this morning. Julie found me. She wanted something. I didn't even know what she was talking about.
Melanie: That's why I didn't want Maggie to tell you, because I'm just trying to put this whole thing out of my mind.
Chad: When you say "whole thing," you mean Nick.
Melanie: Right, but I never think about Nick... and I don't want to start.
Julie: Well, Maggie... you might've told me you were coming here.
Maggie: I don't need permission from you.
Julie: If you are going to try to make Nick feel guilty about--
Maggie: Do you know she got sick after you told her? She had to leave work.
Nick: Melanie was upset?
Maggie: Um, Melanie was, um... surprised. Julie went to talk to her at the hospital about the parole hearing.
Julie: I thought she already knew about it, so I made a mistake.
Nick: She was upset.
Maggie: She's having a pretty hard time, Nick--
Julie: And she'll be fine!
Sami: You know what? I get it--you're mad. You have to calm down, okay?
Lucas: I will--I'll calm down. As soon as you're out of my life, I'll calm the hell down immediately. You know why?
Sami: Oriental philosophy?
Lucas: Now, when you were gone and I was with Allie and we had no idea where you were, I had a lot of time to think. But I realized--I finally realized something about you. I really understood you, Sami.
Sami: Oh, really? I can't wait to hear this.
Lucas: You always want what you can't have. And then when you get it, you don't want it anymore. You had me, but that wasn't good enough, right? So you had to go after EJ. It's a matter of time before you have him too. And then what are you gonna do? And then who are you gonna go after?
Nicole: So we have... no idea how much longer EJ’s gonna be in jail, right? I'm sure it will not be long.
Rafe: Yeah, well, the fact that Stefano wasn't murdered kind of screws up our case against EJ.
Nicole: I'm just really glad that I have you two on my side.
Rafe: Well, Daniel and I both know how high the stakes are.
Daniel: Not that I'm in any way proud of this deception, and I'm sure that Rafe agrees.
Rafe: Oh, I agree.
Daniel: Because this is about the safety of you and your baby.
Nicole: Exactly. But if EJ ever finds out--
Daniel: He is not going to find out.
Rafe: No, he isn't. No. When that baby's born, I'm gonna give him a cigar... I mean, not a real cigar, just, like, a--you know, the candy kind.
Rafe: Yeah, exactly.
Nicole: Okay. [Chuckles]
Rafe: Well, listen, I'd love to chat, but I got to go. And, uh, we'll talk later. I still want to know the answer to that million-dollar question.
Nicole: Okay. [Chuckles]
Daniel: What, uh--what does that mean?
Nicole: I-I-- I was just... telling him something that I finally figured out. But before we get to that, Daniel, with all the craziness that's been going on, I just-- I really don't think I've thanked you enough for saving my baby.
Daniel: No, you have thanked me enough. You already have. You have over and over and... and over and over. And I know how much this baby means to you.
Nicole: You know how grateful I am to you.
Nicole: There's something else that I... I want you to know. What I feel for you is more than just gratitude.
Chad: Look, I don't mean to pressure you. It's just that you shut down whenever the topic of Nick came up.
Melanie: But I don't want to talk about the past... especially when everything right now is so wonderful.
Chad: Well, what if the past is part of the present, okay? What if the things in the past weren't resolved?
Melanie: When I-- when I first came to Salem, I wasn't a very good person. But I don't want to think about all those things. I just want to put 'em behind me. I basically used Nick.
Chad: I don't--I don't know what that means.
Melanie: I just--I don't want to talk about it, because it's over, okay? Why don't you just trust me?
Chad: Okay, okay. We won't talk about it.... all right? We won't talk about it, okay? Just so you know... I'm here if you need me, okay?
Melanie: I know. I know. And that's what I love about you. But I don't need to relive all those things, when the only thing I care about is right now.
[Cell door closes]
Nick: Tell me what happened.
Julie: Well, as I said, Melanie was just taken aback.
Nick: I think it was more than that. Hope was here. She told me about that guy kidnapping her. It must've brought up memories-- really bad memories.
Julie: And her father and Maggie and her boyfriend are gonna help her get past them... just like your family, Nicholas. Your family is going to help you come home... where you belong.
Sami: Well, Lucas, I've always hated cheap psychology.
Lucas: You hate the truth, Sami. You always have, and you always will. You want to think that every man who's ever loved you is gonna love you forever? While you move on like no big deal, we're just supposed to act like we're in love with you for the rest of our lives? Come on, now. Really, dream on, okay, Sami? Dream on.
Hope: Ooh! I love that print, you know? This is just so you.
Rafe: It's Sami's.
Hope: Oh. Well, you know, I just saw her at the coffee house.
Hope: You could return it to her yourself, you know.
Rafe: No. Nope, don't want to.
Nicole: My life changed the day you saved my baby. I see things clearly, more than I have in my entire life.
Daniel: Yeah, yeah, because you are gonna be a great mother.
Nicole: No, that's not what I'm saying. I'm talking about how I feel, how much I care about you.
Daniel: Yeah, well, I care about you too.
Nicole: Okay, Daniel, but just let me, please... finish what I'm saying.
Nicole: I want us to be more than just friends. I... I want us to be together.
