Will: What are you doing here?
Sami: I'm back. And, Will, have I got a story for you.
Maggie: Victor, have you seen Melanie? I need to talk to her. Victor, what is it? What's wrong?
Victor: That was Daniel. Madison is dead.
Maggie: What? Brady.
Victor: Yeah, Brady.
Maggie: Oh, what happened?
Victor: The explosions. Seems that it took the authorities until this morning to get out a list of victims. But...
Maggie: But what?
Victor: Seems that Brady knew since it happened.
Maggie: And he didn't tell you?
Victor: Yeah, well, seems he didn't tell anyone.
Melanie: Hi. I just found out about Madison. I'm so sorry.
Brady: You--you--you did?
Melanie: Yeah, my dad texted me.
Brady: Come in.
Melanie: B-but he said it happened in the explosion, which was, like, two days ago. Why didn't you tell me? I would've been right over.
Brady: Because, Melanie, you've been through a lot yourself. You need time to get over this.
Melanie: Look, I'm over that mess. I'm fine. I'm fine.
Lucas: Hey, Julie. I got your message. You sounded kind of weird. You okay?
Julie: Oh, Lucas, sit down, please. [Sighs] This has been a strange time for me. I've been so worried about Jennifer and Abby and J.J., I-- I don't think it's really registered yet that we've lost Jack.
Lucas: Yeah, I know. I know what you mean.
Julie: And then this morning--I know I should have seen it coming, but it just threw me.
Lucas: What did, Julie?
Julie: I believe--I really believe this is not just the best thing for him, but it's gonna be the best thing for the whole family.
Lucas: Julie, what are you trying to tell me?
Julie: Nick! Nick could be coming back to us. He has a parole hearing.
Lucas: He what? Really?
Julie: Isn't it wonderful?
Lucas: Well, I don't know how wonderful Melanie's gonna think that is. Does she know about it?
Julie: The parole board sent her a letter. I'm hoping that--that she takes it in the most positive way.
Lucas: "The most positive way"? How is she gonna do that when she finds out that the guy who abducted her might be getting out?
Julie: Lucas, don't you see? We have got to reach out to Melanie, help her make sure that we get Nick out.
[Knock at door]
Chad: Melanie, is that you? [Grunts] What are you doing here?
Kate: I need to tell you something, and I think maybe you should sit down.
Chad: Why, what happened? Did something happen to Melanie?
Kate: No, no, no, she's fine. It's nothing like that. It's, um-- it's good news. It's really good news. Your father's alive.
Chad: You're a liar.
Kate: No, it's true.
Chad: Why are you doing this?
Kate: Chad, it's true.
Chad: Look, I saw his body. I was there.
Kate: The Phoenix has risen again. This is for you. Take it. Read it. It's for you...from him, from your father.
Gabi: [Sighs] [Knock at door] Uh, Will?
Rafe: Gabi, you in there? It's me.
Rafe: Gabs? Oh, my God! Oh, my God, honey.
Gabi: Oh, my God.
Rafe: I'm so glad you're all right. Oh, my God, I should have been there.
Gabi: It's okay, you're here now.
Rafe: Yeah. Hey, let me just tell you something. I love you, kid. Oh, my God, I'm so glad you're okay. I was totally freaking out.
Gabi: I'm okay, I'm okay. I-I-I love you. I love you, too. Are you okay? What's going on with you?
Rafe: No, I'm fine, I'm fine. It's just, you know, same ol', same ol'.
Rafe: Running down leads, fighting crime, arresting my ex-wife.
Will: Okay, please tell me that you did not break out of jail. I would not like a S.W.A.T. team busting in while Johnny and Sydney are sleeping.
Sami: No, my dad, you know, pulled some strings and he made sure that I got an early bail hearing.
Will: Oh. Somehow I don't think he pulled those same strings for EJ.
Sami: You would be right. Good guess. No, it's ridiculous. He's been arrested for "fleeing the jurisdiction," but he didn't commit a crime because Stefano's not really dead, so how could there be a jurisdiction?
Will: I'm sorry, did you just say Stefano's not really dead?
Sami: The whole thing makes my head hurt. And, you know, I never sleep well in jail. I mean, I just lie there and think.
Rafe: I loved you. Why did you have to throw it all away?
Will: Hey, are you doing okay?
Sami: Uh, you know, been better. I'm just confused. You know, it seems to me that since there wasn't a murder, then EJ didn't commit a crime, which means I didn't by helping him escape. Commit a crime, that is.
Will: You wanna sit down?
Sami: No. I was in jail all night. Stefano DiMera's not really dead and Salem blew up and Rafe was--
Will: What about Rafe?
Sami: Well, he was just being his usual self, I guess. Worse, actually.
Will: How was he worse?
Sami: Never mind. How are you?
Will: Oh, fine.
Sami: That registers, you know.
Will: What registers?
Sami: Well, that no matter what happens, you handle it, you know? The kids, whatever. I'm a spaz and you are a rock.
Will: [Laughs] No, I would not say that at all.
Sami: Well, I would, and I know Johnny and Sydney and Ali would, too.
Will: You know, I like spending time with them. They make me feel like a normal, decent person.
Will: Which, of course, is an illusion, but--
Sami: What aren't you telling me?
Will: Well, there's always something that you're not telling me, so we're even. You go first, though. You're mad at Rafe.
Sami: I didn't say that.
Will: Well, you said he was worse than ever.
Sami: Well, he threw me in jail. And in his defense, he was very polite about it, I guess.
Will: Um...you know, actually, I have some news for you about Carrie.
Sami: That she and Austin went back to Switzerland.
Will: You know?
Sami: I mean, I think it's best for everybody.
Will: Yeah, I guess, yeah. Rafe, though, I mean, he might be upset.
Sami: Well, that's his problem, isn't it?
Gabi: Okay, you arrested Sami?
Gabi: Great. Okay, yeah. Is there anything else you would like to share with me? Why?
Rafe: Whoa, what do you want me to say? She broke the law, I arrested her, that's it. Oh, come on, it's stupid to talk about right now after everything that you've been through. I still can't believe I wasn't there.
Gabi: Well, yeah, maybe-- I mean, maybe it was better that way.
Rafe: That I wasn't there? I don't see how that could possibly be true. Look, I'm just--I'm glad that this guy's gone, you know? He can't hurt you or Melanie anymore.
Rafe: Did he--do you know how he got fixed on you in the first place?
Gabi: Yeah, I don't--I don't even want to talk about it right now.
Rafe: Sorry. Sorry, it's just the cop in me. You know?
Gabi: Yeah, I know, I know. Uh... does Will know that you arrested Sami?
Rafe: Well, I guess. He's probably heard about it by now.
Gabi: Yeah. And, I mean, I know that you've moved on and everything, but I mean, wasn't it hard to arrest her? I mean, it must've been weird, right?
Rafe: No. No, it wasn't weird. I had a job to do and I did it.
Chad: Does EJ know?
Kate: Yes, yes. Your father didn't give up any information, so Ian abducted EJ as well, and it was EJ who ended up finding Stefano.
Chad: Is he all right? Is he okay? What?
Kate: They took him to the hospital. He's going to be fine.
Chad: He's at the hospital?
Kate: No, no, he's not. He's not anymore.
Chad: So wait, what, he went home?
Kate: No one knows where he is. He left the hospital of his own accord without telling anyone.
Chad: Well, why would he tell anyone? I mean, what the hell would we have to talk about? "Hey, cool, you're not dead. How 'bout those Cubs?"
Kate: Chad, he didn't talk to anyone, but he left you a note, all right? And I'm sure he explains why he did what he did in that note.
Chad: When I was younger, I would--I wished my parents were more interesting. Careful what you wish for.
Chad: It's short. Says he's gonna go away for a little while to regroup, but he'll be back.
Kate: Did he say anything about me?
Chad: I don't know--
Kate: Chad, what did he say?
Chad: He warned me to stay away from you.
Kate: Well...I had a letter to deliver, and I've done it.
Chad: You okay?
Kate: Oh, yes, I'm fine. Your father is alive, and that's all that matters.
Lucas: So you want Melanie to help get Nick released?
Julie: Think. Think how powerful it would be if Melanie went to the parole board and she said she believed he'd been rehabilitated.
Lucas: Well, what if she doesn't believe that? What if she thinks he should stay in prison?
Julie: But it was not his fault, Lucas. Not his fault at all. He was taking those terrible prescription drugs. Now, Melanie is a nurse. She understands that.
Lucas: Yeah, but I mean, he did try to kill her, right, and throw her out a window?
Julie: [Sighs] He's changed. Believe me, he's changed. And as for Melanie, Maggie goes on and on about her transformation, what a kind person she has become. That only could have happened if Maggie gave her a second chance. So Melanie must understand people do change. I know she understands how our family's suffering right now.
Lucas: I know that you want that to be true, but I just don't think you can expect Melanie just to forget about what happened.
Julie: Okay. Okay, maybe she won't help us. But at least we can ask her not to stand in Nick's way.
Lucas: I think you're asking a lot with that.
Julie: The parole board sent her a notice of the hearing. If she had an objection, I really think I would have heard about it by now.
Victor: Brady's at the house. I better get over there.
Victor: Oh, you were upset when you came in. Was it about Melanie?
Maggie: Yes. There's been some news about Nick. He's gonna be getting a parole hearing.
Victor: Oh. With what Melanie's been through, that's hardly great timing.
Maggie: I'm afraid she's gonna get blindsided. I've been leaving her messages for her to call me. I want her to hear it from someone who loves her.
Victor: You're right.
Victor: But listen, I'd better get over to Brady.
Maggie: Well, I'm gonna come with you. Melanie, you know, she can-- she'll reach me eventually.
Victor: All right.
Brady: So I pulled a few strings to keep Madison's name off the official list, Melanie.
Brady: 'Cause I--'cause I didn't want to face this. It means the world to me that you want to be here with me and I thank you, but...it makes it real that she's gone. You understand what I'm saying?
Melanie: Yeah, I get it. I mean, denial gets a bum rap. It's been working for me so far.
Brady: So when you came in here and told me that "the mess is over" and "I'm fine, Brady," that was denial, too, wasn't it?
Melanie: [Laughs] Oh, yeah. Let's pray to God it works. Um...after all that stuff with Nick, I had awful nightmares, and I'm afraid they're gonna come back.
Brady: It's all right.
Melanie: No, no! No, I'm here to comfort you.
Brady: You're so damn bossy sometimes, you know?
Melanie: I am not. Brady!
Melanie: When I found out Madison was in that explosion, you were with me. I mean, you were saving me--
Brady: Don't, don't, no, no, no.
Melanie: No, no, because you could have been with her.
Brady: Don't you--hey, hey. Hey! Don't you dare. It's not your fault. None of what happened was your fault, you hear me?
Lucas: Look, I know that we're all pretty much at sea right now, but...in AA., we have a term that we use. It's called "pink-clouding," and I just don't think you're being very realistic on how Melanie's going to react to all this.
Julie: But look at everything that Maggie did for that girl when she didn't even know who she was. She--she--she put her back together again.
Lucas: Yeah, I know, I know she did, Julie, but--
Julie: Melanie is in our family now.
Lucas: Julie, I can see how much this means to you. I just don't want to see you set yourself up for a fall, that's all. Just think about Melanie. Think about how she feels. You know, this is, like, the second time she's lived through a nightmare like this, so I just don't think she's gonna react in the way you expect her to.
Victor: Brady... I am so sorry.
Brady: Thanks, Grandpa.
Maggie: We just heard. She was such a lovely young woman.
Victor: You should've told us. I mean, you shouldn't have to go through this alone.
Brady: You're right, I know. I--Melanie said the same thing to me.
Brady: You just missed her. She went to the hospital.
Maggie: Is she all right?
Brady: Oh, yeah, she's going back to work.
Maggie: [Scoffs] She's going back to work after everything she's been through?
Brady: She said, um...that after her time with Nick, it almost ripped her apart, and she didn't want that to happen again.
Melanie: [Clears throat] Don't be nice to me.
Maxine: I have no intention of being nice to you.
Melanie: I'm serious. I want everything to be the exact same way it has always been, between us as well.
Maxine: Well, it sure feels the same, you coming up in here, getting all in my face. So do you intend to work or are you planning on standing there, giving me attitude?
Melanie: Well, I have two more minutes before my shift starts. I'm not giving you any extra time.
Maxine: Two minutes?
Maxine: Hm. Till we go back to being the same way we always were?
Maxine: Well, that's enough time. Girl, I have missed you.
Melanie: [Laughs] I missed you, too. I'm glad to be back. I'm glad to be anywhere.
Gabi: I'm okay, all right? You don't have to look out for me. It's okay, you can go--go tell Carrie that you're back. I'm fine with that.
Rafe: Oh, you didn't hear? Carrie and Austin, they moved back to Switzerland...for good.
Gabi: Rafe, I'm sorry.
Rafe: No, no, it's for the best. They're having a baby. And I-I do not want to be the guy who is coming between someone else's family.
Gabi: Wait, so does that have to do anything with the situation with Nicole?
Rafe: N-no, no. And like I said, it's for the best.
Gabi: Maybe. But you're still all alone.
Sami: When are the kids gonna wake up? I want hugs.
Will: I'm sorry, that's my fault. I let them stay up too late.
Sami: Aw, you look like you didn't get enough sleep either.
Will: Well, at least I didn't have to spend the night in jail.
Sami: [Laughs] Thanks.
Will: Anyway, I've got to go, so enjoy the children.
Sami: Of course. Yes, I will. Hey, you know, EJ’s not gonna be at work first thing. He's a little bit otherwise occupied.
Will: Oh, I know. I'm actually gonna go see Gabi because, you know, she's kind of going through a bad time.
Sami: Yeah, I heard about what happened. Send her my best.
Will: Okay, I will.
Sami: 'Cause, you know, I'm glad you two are still friends, even after--
Will: Oh, after I came out?
Will: Yeah, we are...still friends anyway. Oh, but did you run into dad or does he know that you're back?
Sami: No. No, I have to figure out how to gear up mentally for that conversation. I have a feeling that's not gonna go well.
Will: Yeah, sorry, I kind of made him angry already.
Sami: It's bound to happen.
Sami: Look, Will, I just want you to know, I'm gonna figure out a way to make things okay, you know, for you with him. And, you know, I-I can't undo what happened or the choices that I made.
Will: Yeah, I know. I'm sorry.
Sami: It's not your fault. Things were always complicated between me and Rafe.
Will: You mean you and dad.
Sami: Yeah, that's what I said.
Will: No, you said you and Rafe.
Sami: Well, you know what I meant.
Will: Oh, yeah, I think I do.
Sami: Guess what. You slept so long that you missed the Fourth of July and Christmas and your Birthday’s.
Johnny: No, we did not.
Sami: What? Are you sure? I think you did. No, I'm just kidding. It just felt like forever 'cause I missed you. I missed you both so much and I'm so sorry that I was away from you.
Johnny: But you were trying to help daddy, right?
Sami: Yes. And guess what. I did help him and now he's okay and now we don't have to worry about him anymore. He's good and we're good and everything is back to normal. Uh-oh. Tickle machine! Aah! Tickle machine! Tickle machine! Get your sister! Aah, tickles, tickles, tickles!
Gabi: I'm just glad that Melanie didn't get hurt.
Rafe: Yeah, me too. But right now, it's you that I'm concerned about.
Gabi: Hey, what's up?
Will: Hi. Um...hey.
Rafe: Hey, Will.
Rafe: Glad to see you're not in jail like your mother.
Will: Oh, no, she's out actually.
Will: EJ will be pretty soon, too, since he didn't do anything wrong.
Rafe: [Scoffs] Yeah, that's pretty much all he does is do things wrong, but... well, you know, might not be so lucky next time you aid and abet him.
Will: Oh, am I your new target now? You moved on from my mom?
Rafe: "Target," really? Your mother was-- okay, you know what? This is neither the time nor the place. Glad to see you're okay. And I'm glad to see that you are okay.
Rafe: All right, I'll talk to you later.
Gabi: Okay. You know, he's just worried about you.
Will: Yeah, I know, I know, I know. Um...so how are you?
Gabi: I'm fine. I'm good, you?
Will: Yeah, good.
Gabi: Will, I was thinking that last night was probably a mistake.
Will: Last night shouldn't have happened. [Laughs]
Lucas: That son of a bitch is still alive.
Kate: Don't call him that.
Lucas: I can't believe it. I had such high hopes this time. I really did. What do you think? You're not even acting surprised, are you?
Billie: I already knew.
Lucas: You knew?
Kate: Okay, so how did you already know if it hasn't even hit the news stations yet?
Lucas: Why is it never anyone that you like that comes back from the dead?
Kate: Stop! I need you both to stop. This is not funny. It's not a joke.
Billie: You know, Mom, while I do share Lucas's sentiments about the man, I would think that you'd be really happy about this news.
Kate: I was. And then...[Scoffs]
Billie: And then...what?
Kate: And then I found out that he left town without telling anyone, except he left Chad a note.
Lucas: Oh, well, that was big of him, nice guy.
[Billie slaps Lucas under table]
Kate: He made it clear that I am a permanent part of his past.
Lucas: Oh, there you go. Good.
Will: Okay, yeah, I'm sorry for kind of blurting that out. And, um, I'm completely aware that last night was 100% my fault, but I am glad that we feel the same way.
Gabi: Well, I do agree that it was a mistake, but I definitely don't think that it was all your fault.
Will: I think it was. You didn't do anything, and I, you know--
Will: Well, I feel like I led you on again. I kind of maybe sent a few--
Gabi: Are you kidding? I mean, that's what I thought you thought about me.
Will: No, no. Are you kidding? I didn't think that at all. It's just that I was messed up, because--well, 'cause basically I got in a fight with somebody and I wasn't thinking straight. Well, I was thinking straight.
Will: I was thinking straight, but the problem was that I'm gay. [Laughter]
Gabi: You know, you are the only person in this whole world I can laugh at this very awkward conversation.
Will: Good, I'm glad I can help.
Gabi: I mean, the truth is that I was--I was really messed up, too, you know? And--and I finally realized that it was a huge mistake to ever think that I could be with Chad again. All right, okay, that's it. Today is the first day of the rest of my life.
Will: Okay, you and me both. But, um, there's one thing I wanted to say, and it was that I understand completely if... you know, you don't wanna hang out with me anymore.
Will: Okay. But what I was gonna say was that I would really like it if we could, you know, still remain friends.
Gabi: Friends with no benefits. I'd like that.
Will: Okay. Okay, no benefits, all right. Me too.
Gabi: Will, I mean, this wasn't a coincidence, right? I mean, we didn't just bump into each other, right?
Will: No, I was--I've been looking for you, 'cause I, you know, thought I should apologize for my behavior.
Gabi: Well, you didn't have to, but that just goes to show what a real gentleman you are. And it also proves that what they say is true.
Will: What? Which is?
Gabi: That all the good ones are either taken or gay. [Laughter]
Maggie: Victor, dear, sit down, please.
Victor: Oh, sorry.
Brady: It's all right, I know how grandfather hates feeling anything. I'm kind of the same way.
Maggie: Well, I'm gonna nag, and I'm not going to apologize. Have you eaten? Slept?
Brady: I promise not to get too hungry, angry, lonely, or tired. I promised Madison that I would stay sober. I'm gonna hold that promise. I owe her that.
Maggie: Well, is there anything I can do, anything at all?
Victor: Me too.
Brady: Thanks, Gramps. I can always count on you. I know that.
Victor: Don't call me Gramps. I am so very, very sorry, Brady. You shouldn't have to go through this.
Brady: I wouldn't be if it weren't for Ian McAllister. He was arrested last night, but he deserves more. He deserves worse.
Victor: He deserves to rot in hell.
Maggie: Victor, remember what Brady said? You know, about not getting too angry.
Victor: That's where I go. Sorry.
Maggie: Well, I think what would be best for Brady is that we concentrate on the time that he and Madison had together and how much they loved each other.
Brady: You're right. You're right. You know, Kate told me that the last thing Madison said was... that she loved me. That helps. It helps me.
Maggie: Yeah, of course it does.
Billie: Mom, you need to look at how Stefano has treated you, let alone possibly killing people. I mean, come on, you cannot expect us to be thrilled that you're still...whatever it is.
Kate: In love? Because that's what it is. I'm in love with Stefano. I always will be. I would go down on my knees if that would get him to forgive me.
Lucas: Whoa, enough with the visual, please.
Kate: Okay, you know, you are on thin ice with me.
Lucas: Well, you know, he didn't marry you, Mom. He bought you. So if you go back to him, what does that make you?
Kate: Gee, I don't know, Lucas, a whore?
Billie: Oh, God, come on.
Kate: No, no, is that what you're saying to me? If I do this, then I'm Stefano's whore?
Rafe: So Sami Brady made bail, huh? EJ's still in lock-up? Yeah, keep me posted.
Sami: Grandma, you don't have to do this.
Caroline: Well, they're not gonna fold themselves.
Sami: Yeah, but you make me feel guilty.
Caroline: Well, why? Who could keep track of laundry when you were helping a criminal escape or spending the night in jail?
Sami: I appreciate you being here, Grandma, but you're just here to watch the kids so that I can go see Ali and Lucas.
Caroline: Does Lucas know how you spent the night?
Sami: I don't know, but I know I have to talk to him and I have to be honest with him about everything that happened.
Caroline: Well, that should help.
Sami: What does that mean?
Caroline: Well, it's just that it seems to me if you-- to be honest, you don't have to be if you don't do things that you have to lie about. Oh, listen, why am I wasting my breath? You wouldn't be you without high dudgeon drama in your life.
Sami: That is not true. I'm ch--I'm serious. I have a new mantra: "No more drama." [Phone ringing] It's true! I'm not gonna... Grandma, I... hello? Hello? Hm. They hung up.
Maggie: Thank you. Call me if you need me.
Victor: You take care of Melanie, I'll take care of him.
Maggie: Well, I hope this news doesn't really throw her. She's been through a horrible ordeal.
Victor: She's tough, like her grandmother.
Maggie: [Chuckles] I don't feel very tough today. But thank you.
Victor: You know what I said before about doing anything for you? If you'd like McAllister to meet with an accident in prison, that could be arranged.
Victor: Well, if you change your mind, you let me know.
Brady: No, I'm not trying to be noble or anything. I just-- I think that death would be a quick out for the guy. I kind of want him to live a long time knowing that Madison is dead and that it was his fault. I think that's worse than an accident.
Victor: Point taken. You all right?
Brady: I'm not gonna use, if that's what you're asking me.
Victor: It's not what I'm asking. I heard what you said to Maggie and I believe it.
Brady: I'm sorry, it's a reflex action, Granddad.
Victor: I, uh-- I just want you to know that I've been through times like this, losing someone you love. We're not very good at it, but you can talk to me. I mean, I do understand.
Brady: I know. I was actually thinking about going back East and...looking up her sisters and seeing if they wanted to plan a memorial for her--maybe just being around people that loved her as much as I did.
Victor: I think that's a good idea.
Brady: Yeah. You know, this morning, I woke up and I-I reached out for her. I'm wondering if I'll ever stop doing that.
Will: You know, I'm glad that we had this talk.
Gabi: Yeah. Yeah, me too. Okay, wait, all right, there's-- okay, there's one more thing I wanted to ask you.
Gabi: So last night, I was wondering if you might have been rethinking your, um--
Will: Oh, if I was straight? Or bi or...something? No, just...pretty completely gay.
Gabi: Okay, so, I mean, sleeping with me last night again was...confirmation. Wow, you really know how to make a girl feel good about herself.
Will: No, no, no, no, no, no. That's not what I was trying to do. What--
Gabi: Gotcha. [Laughs]
Will: Oh, my God. [Laughter]
Gabi: I'm kidding.
Lucas: Look, that's not what I meant, okay? I didn't say that exactly.
Kate: No, of course you did. That's what you meant. The both of you have made it very clear what you think, so let me tell you now what I think. I know exactly what I'm doing. I know what I want and I know what I need, and as God is my witness, I will be with Stefano again.
Billie: Well, every family has its ups and its downs.
Sami: Oh, someone-- you--
Melanie: No, if you want me to take a double shift, I'm totally fine with that.
Melanie: You're welcome.
Julie: Melanie, hello.
Julie: Um, I was wondering if I could speak with you for a moment...privately?
Melanie: Uh...is that okay?
Maxine: Sure. Just remember, Mrs. McGivern needs to go down to X-ray--half hour.
Melanie: Okay. Uh, you--you need to talk to me?
Julie: I do, I do. I know how really close you are to Abigail, and you must know, she is really mourning her father right now.
Melanie: Yes, of course. No, I told her to call me if she needs anything.
Julie: Ah, so you do want to help. Well, I'm sure you understand... having her family around her now is so important. And to have her whole family, that would be such a blessing.
Julie: Good. Oh, I'm so glad to hear you say that. So you won't stand in his way?
Melanie: Stand in whose way?
Julie: Nick, at his parole hearing.
Melanie: Nick's... [Clears throat] Nick's up for parole?
