Sami: What do you mean it's not coming till Friday? Those products have to be on the shelves on Thursday. Why? Because that's when the promotion starts! All right, you tell them that that delivery has to be on Wednesday because we have to--
Lucas: Uh, hey, uh, Ms. Brady just got called into a very important meeting.
Sami: What are you doing?
Lucas: Uh, she'll--she'll be in touch. Thank you.
Sami: What are you doing? What is that? That was important!
Lucas: [Laughs] This is important.
Lucas: Come here.
Hayes: Hey. Where is it? [Whistles] I'm sure you know that a polygraph isn't 100% accurate, and it isn't admissible in court. But it can--and in many cases does--help the authorities determine who is the actual guilty party. Good. Good. As long as you're clear on what your dollars bought you. Well, nice doing business with you.
EJ: That's ridiculous. There's no way that I could possibly have failed your test. It's impossible. Well, clearly there's something wrong with your test procedure, gentlemen.
Roman: You can argue all you want, Junior, but that test was administered by an objective professional, and according to the results, you were lying.
EJ: You're not seriously going to buy any of this, are you?
Spencer: I'm sorry, Mr. DiMera, but I'm afraid they speak for themselves, those results.
Will: I mean, yeah, but there's gotta be some mistake.
Roman: Or not. Maybe we just finally found Stefano's murderer.
Daniel: We'll use that later.
Lucas: Mm, I know you want to tear into me for hanging up on your business call, so go ahead. Go for it.
Sami: You think?
Lucas: Yeah, go for it. I can take it.
Sami: Oh, really?
Lucas: Get it all out of your system.
Sami: [Laughs] Oh, yeah?
Sami: You're gonna get it. You know that, right?
Lucas: Oh, good, good.
EJ: Gentlemen, I came down here voluntarily today so that I could exonerate myself, and in the hopes that in doing so, I might be able to motivate you guys to stop wasting your time-- and mine--and start looking for the person who is really responsible for my father's murder. Evidently, I expected too much from a joke of a police department whose investigation is as flawed as their test.
Roman: The only flaw here is the load of crap you were trying to pass off as the truth.
EJ: Okay, okay. All right, well, um, I have better things to do than to stand here and listen to, uh, the likes of you try and intimidate me with your evidence, which, by the way, is not even admissible in a court of law.
Roman: You're right, EJ. You're right. Those results won't hold up in a court of law. But they are very telling.
EJ: The only thing that they should be telling you is that your machine is in need of a tune-up. I was under no obligation to come here, so why would I do so if I had something to hide?
Will: Yeah. Seriously, why would he incriminate himself if he was guilty? Right? He had to know he would pass it, otherwise he wouldn't have subjected himself to it.
Roman: Will, I think you're being a little naive here.
Will: Why? Because I'm defending EJ?
Roman: No, because you don't get that EJ's cocky enough to think he could throw suspicion off himself by beating that test. Unfortunately for him, the test showed he's not his father's son after all. You're not as slippery by half. And in my opinion, that polygraph test shows we are right on track. We are pursuing exactly the right suspect in the murder of Stefano DiMera.
Sami: Let's just go to bed, okay?
Lucas: [Laughs] I thought you would never ask.
Sami: [Laughs] Wait, wait! [Groans] Oh, we can't.
Lucas: What? What's the matter? Why not?
Sami: We can't! The kids!
Lucas: Oh, right, the kids. That's right, I forgot.
Lucas: Are you all right?
Lucas: I gotta pick 'em up from, uh, camp, right? Take 'em to Caroline's for the sleepover.
Sami: [Sighs] And I have that fire I have to put out at Countess W., and I have to do that today.
Lucas: All right, well, we'll just do a rain check, all right? But no expiration date this time.
Sami: That's the best kind. But you know what? I am definitely collecting tonight.
Lucas: Are you? Okay.
Lucas: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Sorry. Um, before we head off in our opposite directions, I just want to talk to you about something real quick.
Lucas: [Clears throat] About us.
Sami: Uh, you and me? Is something wrong?
Lucas: No. No, nothing's wrong. Everything's great. You know, we started out as friends, and then we became enemies, and then we fell in love, and then...
Sami: We were enemies again.
Lucas: Right, right. And it's taken us a long time to get back to a good place. And now...
Lucas: Well, now I-I think that things are going really good.
Sami: [Exhales] Good. Me too.
Lucas: Right, and--and I don't want anything to ruin that.
Sami: Why--why would you think that?
Lucas: Well, you know, when you start sleeping with your best friend, you know, things can get kind of complicated sometimes.
Sami: Yeah. Do you mean good complicated or bad complicated?
Lucas: I just need to know that we're on the same page. That's all. That we're not just friends with benefits, you know?
Sami: That's how I feel too. I mean, it's--it's definitely more than that. I-- we've talked about this, right?
Lucas: Yeah, no, we have. We've talked about it, but things kind of change sometimes.
Sami: Well, I don't want them to change. I mean, Lucas, if I-- if I had looked at you 20 years ago with that military uniform on and realized then what I-- what I know now, I could've saved myself a whole lifetime of complications.
Lucas: Yeah, I know. I know what you mean.
Sami: Lucas, I want this to work. I want this to work. I-I really think we have a shot this time. I mean, we're smarter and older and wiser. But I know what I want.
Lucas: Good. I'm really glad to hear you say that. So before I go take care of the kids, um, there's just something I want to give you really quick, so don't go anywhere. Stay there. I have something for you, and, um, I want you to have it.
Sami: What is this?
Lucas: I don't know, open it. Open it and see what it is. Come on.
Sami: Oh, my-- Lucas, this is beautiful. Thank you.
Lucas: Here's to getting it right this time.
EJ: I did not kill my father.
Roman: You know what, EJ? I don't know, but, uh, the past year, you've been pretty determined to upgrade the DiMera name.
EJ: I've done an extremely good job of upgrading the DiMera name.
Roman: And let's face it, the DiMera name was never gonna be respectable as long as Stefano was still around.
EJ: You're not seriously suggesting that I killed my father to clear up our name.
Will: Grandpa, look, that doesn't make any sense, okay? Why would he do that, right? You--he--he idolized Stefano.
Roman: Maybe not, Will. Besides, I'm not sure I would be so quick to defend EJ, because if he is the killer, which we do believe he is, he nearly let you take the blame for his crime.
Will: No, he didn't, actually. He bailed me out. And--and he was the one who encouraged me to come to you and tell you the truth and exonerate myself. Grandpa, if it weren't for him, I wouldn't have had the courage to tell you, you know, that I'm gay.
Roman: So you told EJ you were gay?
Will: Well, he--no, I didn't tell him, but he... figured it out.
Roman: Okay, Will, I still gotta ask you, why are you here? Why are you defending him so strongly?
Will: Well, because, I mean, he helped me and he didn't have to.
EJ: I think your grandson makes a very good point. Why would I help him if I were guilty? You think I'd be grateful, relieved even, to have a scapegoat to pin my crime on.
Will: Yeah, right? I mean, do you have an answer for that, hmm?
EJ: I'm sure all of you gentlemen would just love to pin this crime on me, wouldn't you? A good opportunity to throw another DiMera out of town. Well, you'll have to excuse me, gentlemen. I've had enough of your little witch hunt. Good day.
Rafe: Don't leave town.
EJ: Yes, thank you. You did make that very clear already.
Roman: And remember, while we can't use the polygraph test to arrest you, it does solidify our belief we're on the right track.
Spencer: So we'll be watching your every move.
EJ: Oh, you boys knock yourself out.
Spencer: We will.
Nicole: So how are you feeling?
Daniel: What do you mean?
Nicole: Well, here I am pouring my heart out to you, and... well, you want to talk about what happened earlier with Rafe?
Daniel: Mm... now, I could swear I just heard the sound of a nice moment being killed.
Nicole: So you don't want to talk about it?
Daniel: Why? Why? We're having such a great time.
Nicole: Yeah, we were. We are.
Daniel: Well, okay, well, then let's keep having a great time. You know, forget this morning. Forget about that. I want you to tell me how good you are at, um, pool.
Daniel: Pool. Yeah.
Nicole: Well, you're just gonna have to wait and see, sir. Oh, you know what? Tell you what. Let's make a wager right now.
Daniel: Oh, yeah? What do you want, like, dinner, coffee?
Nicole: Dinner and co--no. No, it's gotta be much bigger than that. Unless, of course, you're scared I'll beat the pants off you again. [Clicks tongue]
Daniel: Well, Nicole.
Daniel: I am counting on that.
Sami: This is so beautiful. It--it looks almost vintage.
Lucas: Well, it should be. Belonged to my Grandma Alice.
Sami: This is Mrs. Horton's bracelet?
Lucas: Yeah. Yeah, my grandfather gave it to her for one of their anniversaries I guess.
Sami: How did you get it?
Lucas: She sent it to me when I was in Hong Kong right before she died.
Sami: Lucas, she--she must have meant this for Allie, I mean, for her namesake, right? I mean, she meant you to hold onto it till she got older.
Lucas: No, no. She wanted you to have it.
Sami: Me? [Scoffs] No way.
Spencer: EJ had a lot to gain with Stefano out of the picture. After all, he's now head of the entire DiMera Empire.
Roman: Yeah, and there was absolutely no way Stefano was gonna give EJ that kind of power as long as he was still around. That's for sure.
Spencer: Stefano always did strike me as the kind of man who'd hold on to the reins of power until his very last breath.
Roman: Yeah, and let's not forget here, if he had executed that will, he would've kept the reins away from EJ even after his death.
Rafe: Yeah, I agree with what you both say, but I'm starting to rethink some things.
Roman: Such as?
Rafe: Well, don't get me wrong, all right? I still think that EJ is the prime suspect, but the guy came in here, agreed to take a polygraph test, and he failed it--miserably. He's usually a bit more clever.
Roman: No, I agree, Rafe. You're absolutely right about that. But as I told Agent Spencer, I thought that EJ might figure out some way to manipulate the results, and maybe he was positive he could do that successfully. I mean, he's cocky, he's arrogant, he's a lawyer. He thinks he knows all the tricks of the trade.
Rafe: I saw his face. He thought he passed that polygraph test with flying colors. I'm telling you, his plan was not to come in here and fail the test.
Roman: No, I don't think so either. I mean, he did try to throw the control questions. But no, I-I think he thought he was going to beat that test, clear his name, and we caught him in his lie. But let me ask you this, Rafe. All along, like us, you've been thinking that EJ was our guy. But are you now saying that, uh, you're changing your mind?
EJ: I cannot believe that whole thing blew up in my face. I should have never taken that test in the first place.
Will: What difference does it make? The polygraph doesn't mean Jack.
Will: They can't use it in court.
EJ: You have no idea what you're talking about. None whatsoever, William. They're going to use that evidence to build a case against me.
Will: There are other suspects.
EJ: Like who, you mean the killer? Really, William? This guy's gonna walk away scot-free. Their entire investigation is going to be focused on me. Oh! And let me tell you something. When this gets out, my political career is over!
Will: Hey, you don't know that for sure.
EJ: Let me tell you something, William. When the media gets hold of this, I guarantee you someone somewhere is going to ask for a recall.
Will: Well, I'm sorry. I mean, I thought--I was trying to help you. I thought, you know, doing the polygraph would end the speculation on your involvement.
EJ: Right, well, let this be the first and last of your bright ideas, eh?
Will: You know, you seemed so sure that you were gonna pass it though.
EJ: Because I was.
Will: [Laughs] So if you're innocent, then you have nothing to worry about.
EJ: [Sighs] William, you are incredibly naive. Innocent people go to jail every day. You almost did.
Will: Yeah, but there is no real evidence against you.
EJ: [Laughs] Not yet.
Will: "Not yet." Hmm? What does that mean? You just--I mean, you told me you didn't kill Stefano.
EJ: Yeah, right. Yeah, that's what I said.
Will: Yeah, so knowing what I know, that you aren't really his son...
EJ: I would be very careful if I were you.
Will: You need to be honest with me. Did you kill him?
Nicole: Oh, my goodness. You know what? If we are gonna go for round three, I need some food.
Daniel: Oh, that sounds so good. All right, just make it something healthy.
Nicole: Oh, yeah, something healthy, of course.
Daniel: All right, yeah?
Nicole: Yes, yes.
Daniel: You want some help with the buttons?
Nicole: [Laughs] No, I do not, thank you. Okay, shh shh shh. Hi, uh, room service? Yes, this is Nicole Walker calling again, and I'd like to order my usual. Uh, yeah, a large banana split with, uh, extra whipped cream and hot fudge and--oh, my goodness--don't forget the double order of French fries and extra ranch dressing, okay? Bring it as soon as possible? Thank you.
Daniel: Really, that's the usual, huh? Is that your idea of healthy? Come on.
Daniel: Wha--? What?
Nicole: Rude! I'm a pregnant woman, don't judge me.
Daniel: What, you're gonna eat all of that? You can't eat all that.
Nicole: Well, usually I do, but I guess now I'll share.
Daniel: Oh, I like that idea. Although, as a doctor, I gotta say, I would imagine that's not the best thing for my arteries really.
Nicole: After the workout we just had, I really don't think you have to worry about it. And you know, I really--
Nicole: You just don't strike me as the kind of man who worries about what's good for him.
Daniel: Oh, yeah, well, you know what? Obviously not, or I wouldn't be naked in your bed, now would I?
Nicole: [Scoffs] Well, Daniel, no one is forcing you to be naked in my bed. No one is forcing you to stay in my bed, so if you need to blow out of here like you did this morning, go ahead.
Daniel: O-okay, look, I'm sorry, all right? I, uh, I deserved that.
Nicole: Yeah, yeah, you did. So I'm gonna go take a shower, because I think I just heard the sound of a moment being killed.
Daniel: Okay, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. [Sighs] Don't go.
Sami: I can't believe Mrs. H. wanted me to have this.
Lucas: Yeah, well, when I got it in the mail, I was just as blown away as you are. At the time, you know, I was with Chloe.
Sami: You mean you had just divorced Chloe.
Lucas: Right, I had just divorced Chloe. But you were with Rafe, and I didn't know, you know, if we were ever gonna reconnect again.
Sami: You didn't tell your grandma that, did you?
Lucas: Mm-mm. No, I just said thank you, you know, and I stashed the bracelet, held it for Allie someday. But it kept ringing in my head that my grandma wanted you to have it. And she wanted me to be the one to give it to you, although I had no reason why. I had no clue. I guess she knew something we didn't.
Sami: She knows a lot of things that we didn't. Everyone loved her so much. You know, when I was little, I used to go visit her while she was gardening. I would bring my doll collection or my rock collection. We would talk about new kids on the block. I mean, she would listen to me. You know, most grown-ups don't do that.
Lucas: Yeah, I know. Believe me, I know what you mean.
Sami: [Laughs] You know, she always used to say, um, "Samantha Gene, your determination is gonna get you places someday."
Lucas: She said that?
Sami: [Laughs] Yes. At the time, it was just putting me in detention. But you know, I always held on to that. I figure, if you can't believe Mrs. Horton, who can you believe?
Lucas: Well, that's right. And I guess she did know something that we didn't, right? She must've known we would get back together someday.
Sami: 'Cause here we are.
Lucas: Here we are, and here we are going to stay.
Roman: Okay, um, Rafe, so are you telling us you don't think EJ's the killer?
Rafe: No, no. No, I mean, not necessarily. Here's the thing, we need evidence. We need some hard evidence. This--
Spencer: I know where you're coming from, Roman.
Rafe: It's not--
Spencer: But you have a history with this fellow and his family, and Rafe has a point. We're gonna need more than a gut feeling to nail this guy. We need concrete evidence to prove that EJ killed his father.
Roman: And that's exactly why I knew I couldn't head up this investigation any longer. When it comes to the DiMera’s, I can't be objective, no matter how hard I try. But I still believe we're right. I believe EJ is our killer.
Rafe: Well, if he is, then we're going to figure it out. If the evidence is there, we're going to find it. Trust me, I'm not letting him get away with murder.
EJ: I do not care what anybody thinks, William, and I certainly don't care what that bloody polygraph-- I certainly don't care what that bloody polygraph said, I did not kill Stefano.
EJ: Unfortunately, despite the police having absolutely no evidence, they now think that I have a motive, that I had something to gain from my father's death. Stefano's death.
Will: You know what's weird is they don't even know the half of it. I mean, if they knew you weren't really his son, then... I mean, their whole--[Laughs]
EJ: They're not going to find out that I'm not his son.
Will: Not if you honor your end of the deal. I did give you my word.
EJ: Your word, William, had better be worth something. And I would stop referring to it in public, or it's not going to be a secret for very long, is it?
Sami: The way you talk, you make it sound like you really think it's gonna work this time.
Lucas: Don't act so surprised. I think our relationship's going great, don't you? Come on, I chucked some baggage in Hong Kong. I'm not that bad anymore.
Sami: [Laughs] Well, that's good, 'cause I have enough baggage for both of us.
Lucas: Aw, come on. Name one thing I don't know about you. Is there one thing I don't know about you?
Sami: I-I don't think there is.
Lucas: No, there isn't. And you about me, same thing.
Sami: You know, what you said earlier about--about us being best friends, did you really mean that?
Lucas: Yeah, I did.
Sami: I just haven't had a best friend in a long time. I mean, I know I'm not exactly best friend material. Thank you for coming back from Hong Kong. Thank you for being there for me.
Lucas: Well, you'd have done the same thing for me, right?
Sami: Usually, people don't give me that much credit.
Lucas: But you would have, right? You would have done the same thing for me? Just say it.
Sami: [Laughs] Of course.
Lucas: Come on, make me feel better.
Sami: Really? We're in the middle of something here. Excuse me. This is Sami. What do you mean they still won't del-- [Groans] All right, I'll--I'll be right there. I'm sorry, I have to go.
Lucas: That's all right, I gotta go too. I gotta pick up the kids, right? Take 'em to the sleepover.
Sami: Yes, you do.
Lucas: Kiss for the road?
Sami: Okay, just one--two.
Lucas: Make it good, it's the last one. Mm. Oh, don't go.
Lucas: Don't go.
Nicole: You're right, I shouldn't go. This is my room.
Nicole: Daniel, look, you-- you need to talk to me.
Daniel: Nic, it's not that I don't want to talk about it, I just--I was hoping that, uh, we'd keep it light.
Nicole: That's fine. But just now and this morning? Not light. Just tell me what's going on.
Daniel: All right, well, do I have to spell it out for you? Hmm? I mean, this is a complicated situation right here. You're pregnant with EJ's baby, Rafe is pretending to be the father, and I helped you switch the DNA tests, and you and I--
Daniel: I don't know. Why don't you tell me? Look, I'm having fun, Nic. I am.
Nicole: Good, 'cause so am I.
Daniel: But there is one thing that I just can't deal with, is a woman being torn between two men. Been there, done that.
Nicole: [Sighs] Are you talking about you and Jennifer?
Daniel: Yeah, we both know how that ended up.
Nicole: I don't understand what that has to do with us.
Daniel: I think you do. Yeah, 'cause the minute Rafe knocked on that door, he was your whole focus, and you were more concerned about primping for the man at your door than you were about being with the man in your bed.
Will: Yes, that's right. Um, I would like the new car delivered, uh, to Will Horton at, um--excuse me, sorry-- One Riverfront Road. What do you mean, you can't do that? No, no--okay, I'm sorry. I don't think you understand. Um, I-I'm EJ's right-hand man, so what I say goes, right? I don't need to involve Mr. DiMera in this. [Laughs] No, I didn't think so. Okay, great, so I'll see the car at my place shortly? Okay, good, thank you.
Lucas: Wow, who are you, and what have you done with my son?
Will: Oh, hey, Dad. What are you doing here?
Lucas: I just dropped off your sisters and your brother with Caroline. Who was that on the phone? What was that all about?
Will: Oh, um, I don't know, some people can be difficult, so you need a firm hand in dealing with them.
Lucas: It's almost as if EJ's taken up ventriloquism.
Will: [Laughs] That's not funny.
Lucas: Well, neither is what I heard on the phone. That wasn't too funny either. Now, I know you don't want to hear this right now, but you're making a huge mistake. You know that, right?
Will: Dad, we got-- I feel like all our conversations are about this. I-I like working for EJ.
Lucas: Of course you do. Of course, you like the car, you like the apartment. I get that. But what's gonna happen when he turns on you--again? And he will, believe me. It's just a matter of time.
EJ: Listen, let me tell you something. If this gets out, I'm done for, which means-- hey, Samantha.
Sami: Hi, EJ. Everything okay?
EJ: Uh, um, every-- everything's fine. Nothing you need to concern yourself with.
Sami: Well, obviously something is bothering you. I can tell.
EJ: You're very perceptive.
Sami: EJ, come on. Just tell me what it is. I'm gonna find out eventually, right? So save us both the headache. I never meant to... Do you need some tea?
Nicole: Daniel, you think this is about Rafe? Believe me, there is nothing going on there.
Daniel: Okay, Nic, Nic. I don't want to talk about it, Nic, don't. Your feelings are your own. It's up to you to sort 'em out. I just wanted to let you know where I stand.
Nicole: Are you leaving?
Daniel: To take a cold shower.
Will: Trust me, Dad, EJ is not going to turn on me.
Lucas: How can you say that? He's already done it twice. He's already blackmailed you twice because he knows you're the one who shot-- that you shot him.
Will: [Sighs] I-I do appreciate your concern... [Laughs] But... I-I'm just--there is no way, literally, that he is gonna use that information against me again.
Lucas: How can you be so sure about that?
Will: Well, let's just say I got him right where I want him.
Lucas: And where does that leave you when EJ DiMera finally gets what's coming to him? What's to stop him from taking you down with him?
Roman: You know what? The more I hear you two talk, the more I'm starting to question how committed you are to proving EJ guilty.
Spencer: He's still very high on my list of suspects.
Rafe: Yeah, Roman, come on. You know, if anyone believes that EJ's guilty, I mean, you think it's gonna come as a surprise to me that he pumped his old man full of lead? But I'm just saying, as you have been saying all along, the only way we're gonna take this guy down is if we do it by the book.
Spencer: He's right. It's the only way we'll be able to hold it.
Spencer: I mean, imagine the list of high-profile attorneys that are lining up to defend him.
Rafe: Compelling, irrefutable evidence--if there is such a thing--that's what we need to take him down. It's the only way. If we're gonna take the DiMeras down, we have to think like a DiMera.
Roman: All right, good points, both of you. I mean, it always did seem that Stefano was one step ahead of us.
Rafe: Not anymore. We gotta start thinking outside the box. That's the only way we're gonna bring him down.
Roman: I'm all for that.
Rafe: All right.
Roman: My only concern is that, uh... my friends and family don't get hurt in the process.
EJ: It's just been a, uh, tough couple of weeks, that's all.
Sami: It seems like more than that to me. And I know when things bother you, you used to go to Lexie. And I know you can't do that now, so I'm offering my services. If you want to talk to me, you can. But you don't have to. Maybe some other time.
EJ: Samantha, wait, please. You're right. Something is bothering me. My entire reputation is at stake.
Sami: Hey, it can't get much worse, can it?
EJ: My approval rating is over 80%, thank you very much. And just so you know, I've been investing money in parks and in health care, for which my sister and our children would be very proud. And can I tell you something? All of that is about to go out of the window, and do you know why?
EJ: Because of the ISA, because of your father, and because of your soon-to-be ex-husband.
Daniel: Wow. What have we got going on here?
Nicole: How'd that cold shower work out for you? Hmm? It's too bad you're all clean now, I was hoping we could get a little messy.
Daniel: Well, this is a fancy hotel. I don't think we'd want to get it too dirty.
Daniel: Uh-uh. [Sighs] You are not making this very easy.
Nicole: That's because I want to make it very hard. Very hard.
Daniel: Well, you know, I think you already--
Daniel: Oh, I think you--
Will: [Clears throat] Look, Sad, I'm sorry. For the last time, EJ's not gonna drag me down with him. Seriously. We have an understanding.
Lucas: Oh, you have an understanding? So I should be okay with everything then, right?
Will: I am confident that he is not gonna use my past actions against me again.
Lucas: You can't trust EJ, don't you understand that? He'll never change. You may think he can change, but he can't. It's a matter of time before he stabs you in the back and makes you take a rap for one of his crimes.
Will: Not this time, Dad.
Lucas: Why do you sound so sure? I mean, is there something you're not telling me?
Rafe: All we need is one thing. One thing. One piece of evidence to connect EJ to Stefano's murder. We do that, put him away for the rest of his life.
Spencer: You're a man on a mission, Hernandez, you know that?
Rafe: Oh, I am. I'm determined to find whoever it was that murdered Stefano. And if it's EJ, well, it's been a long time coming.
Sami: Seems serious.
EJ: It is serious. Look, you know I'm under investigation for my father's murder, right?
Sami: Yeah, but so is half the town.
EJ: Okay, so listen, so I decide that it's a good idea to take a polygraph test because that will prove that I'm innocent.
EJ: I did.
Sami: Well, there you go, then you have nothing to worry about. Why are you still so upset?
EJ: Because I failed the test.
Sami: You failed?
EJ: Right, so now everything that I've worked to develop my reputation, a future for my children, all of that is just--
Sami: Wait, wait, wait, wait, what? Go back to the part where you failed the polygraph test! What does that mean? Does that mean that you shot Stefano?
