Victor: Maggie, please. Please give me another chance.

Maggie: I was warned by people who love me when our relationship became serious.

Victor: I remember.

Maggie: Jennifer begged me not to marry you, and even Hope, who loves you, she told me to be careful.

Victor: They were afraid I'd hurt you. But you listened to your heart, and now you regret it.

Maggie: I knew your history as well as they did. But I was falling in love with you. I was caught up in the romance of it all. You made me feel 18. Well, maybe 28.

Victor: The same way you still make me feel.

Maggie: Has it ever occurred to you that maybe we were caught up in the intoxicating, giddy state that blinded both of us to the truth? We're too different, Victor. We always have been. We always will be.

Madison: Brady and I believe that the tie-in between Mad World's latest accessory line and Basic Black for evening has an incredibly abroad appeal to the target demographic that both companies are trying to reach.

Ian: Well, it has potential. But you have to be a little more specific if Titan's gonna invest in a major advertising campaign.

Brady: [Clears throat]

Madison: Brady.

Brady: Yeah, no, no, I mean, Madison and I, we're in complete agreement with the whole issue.

Ian: I understand.

Madison: I just--maybe we could use a little more time to refine some of our ideas if you wouldn't mind just maybe excuse us.

Ian: Hmm. By all means. Check back in with you both later.

Madison: Brady, damn it, what is going on? You look like you're ready to jump out of your own skin. Come on. Look, don't tell me you're all right, 'cause obviously you're not all right. You have a problem? Do you? Because I.. I want to help you, but you gotta be honest with me. Are you using drugs again?

Abigail: Hi.

Cameron: Hey.

Abigail: How'd you get here so fast?

Cameron: I ran. Seriously, I'm a runner.

Abigail: Oh. Cool.

Cameron: And from all the exclamation points on your text, I got the feeling it was kind of important.

Abigail: You might say that. Question...who's your favorite band in the entire world?

Cameron: Has to be the Black Eyed Peas.

Abigail: Oh. Interesting. And did you know that they're performing at the amphitheatre in Chicago tonight?

Cameron: It's been sold out for weeks. But some day I will see my man live.

Abigail: Yeah, some day. Maybe tonight? [Laughs]

Cameron: Backstage passes for tonight's show? Are you serious?

Abigail: Yes. I was at the coffeehouse, and I started talking to this guy at the next table... just chatting. Anyway, it turns out he was a roadie, and he just gave them to me.

Cameron: I'm impressed.

Abigail: you want to go with me? We could leave right now, catch a train to Chicago, and still make it in time for a quick dinner before the show.

Cameron: [Laughs] I'd love to, but I can't.

Abigail: Oh.

Brady: I'm not lying to you. I haven't had drugs since the day I got out of rehab, okay? It was years before I met you. I'm not lying to you.

Madison: Brady, you can't keep still. Seriously, you're up, you're down, you're all over the place. You're completely unfocused. So if you're not on something, then what is going on?

Brady: You know what, I had a lot of coffee this morning. I don't know. Maybe my blood sugar is off. I don't know. But the worst part about it is I can't stop thinking about it, Madison, okay?

Madison: What, about using?

Brady: I'm not--I'm not gonna do it, and I haven't done it. I'm fine.

Madison: Okay, you know the drug test you offered to take?

Brady: Yeah. Yeah.

Madison: I think it'd be a really good idea if you scheduled that as soon as possible, just so we know what we're not dealing with.

Abigail: Oh. Uh, that's okay. Um, it was kind of a spur-of-the-moment thing anyway. Of course you want to spend time with your sister.

Cameron: Actually, she and Abe are spending the afternoon at the arboretum.

Abigail: Oh.

Cameron: And my mom has her Eastern meditation class, so I volunteered to pick up Theo from his therapy session later and drop him off at Bo and Hope's.

Abigail: Oh. That's really nice of you.

Cameron: Not really. I love spending time with my nephew.

Abigail: Yeah, Theo's the best. He's a pretty good dancer too.

Cameron: That's funny. He says the same thing about you.

Abigail: [Chuckles]

Cameron: I hear you gave him Larry.

Abigail: Larry?

Cameron: The turtle.

Abigail: Ah, yes, Larry. I didn't know he had a name.

Cameron: Oh, not only does he have a name, but Theo won't go anywhere without Larry. I had to talk him out of making him a leash from one of his shoelaces.

Abigail: So you are gonna be hanging out with Larry and Theo tonight?

Cameron: And it's gonna be a great time, but...

Abigail: But what?

Cameron: There's one little thing, Deveraux. Can I--can I call you Deveraux?

Abigail: Sure.

Cameron: Can I ask you for a rain check?

Abigail: I don't know.

Victor: I guess old habits die hard.

Maggie: Or don't die at all.

Victor: I guess I made a mess of all my personal relationships. Chalk it up to an overabundance of pride or ego. Whatever it was, I seem to have it all in spades. You were right to wash your hands of me. I don't deserve a woman like you.

Maggie: I wasn't looking for perfection, Victor. I was unfaithful to Mickey when I was married to him. It was a terrible betrayal.

Victor: But you got past it. And you were happy together.

Maggie: It might not have worked out like that if it weren't for Alice. She reminded me that we had made a commitment to each other before God, and that I owed it to him and to Mickey and to myself to do everything in my power to make it work. It wasn't easy, but it was well worth it.

Victor: You knew that he was worthy of your love. Well, thank you for listening to me. That's all I wanted really. You want to file for divorce, I won't fight you.

[Cell phone rings]

Daniel: Dr. Jonas.

Brady: Hey, hey, Daniel, listen, it's Brady. I hate to bother you, but I need a favor.

Daniel: No. No bother. What's up?

Brady: I want to schedule a drug test.

Daniel: All right. For who?

Brady: For me.

Daniel: But why? I mean, are you sure you want to do it today?

Brady: The sooner the better, yeah.

Daniel: Okay, well, I'll tell you what. I'm at the town square about to grab a coffee. If you want to meet me here, we'll head over to the hospital together.

Brady: Thanks, man. That sounds good. I'll see you then.

Madison: What, are you doing it right now?

Brady: Yeah. I mean, isn't right now the time when you are suspicious that I might be high? All right?

Madison: You know what? I wish I could just say forget about it.

Brady: Hey, come here. I'd still do it anyway. I need to show you that I'm-- that I value our future. It's the most important thing to me, and I value being clean. And I'm gonna be. And everything's gonna be fine. I love you very, very much. And now you'll have proof that you can trust me.

Madison: [Laughs] Okay.

Brady: I love you. I love you.

Madison: [Sighs]

[Door opens]

Ian: Where's Brady?

Madison: Oh, he had some errands to run.

Ian: Well, I hope you were able to iron out those points in the concept you were running by me earlier.

Madison: Yeah, no, of course. I think--obviously, it still needs a little polish work, you know, but ultimately the concept that Brady and I have come up with together, I think it's pretty fabulous. It's gonna make Titan a lot of money.

Ian: Ah. From your lips. How is Brady? Is he feeling any better?

Madison: No, he's good. Yeah, he's a lot better. So there's these sketches that we had mocked up, and I would love to show them to you. Look at this.

Ian: Hmm.

Madison: It's good, right?

Ian: You'll have to run these by Kate.

Madison: You don't like them?

Ian: No, they're fine, but she's your business partner.

Madison: Please don't remind me.

Ian: I thought you two were getting along better these days.

Madison: We were.

Ian: Well, whatever this latest tiff is about, I wish you'd set it aside as soon as possible. Kate is smart, she's experienced, and she is as invested as you are.

Madison: When I want her help, I'll ask her for it.

Ian: I'm not questioning your talent, Madison. But it's obvious to me that you cannot depend on Brady Black these days.

Madison: Of course, I can. [Slams down portfolio]

Ian: Please. He was sweating and shaking like a street junkie only a half an hour ago. Something's going on with him. What is it? You can tell me.

Brady: Daniel, hey.

Daniel: Hey.

Brady: Thanks for helping me out with this, man.

Daniel: Hey, no problem, no problem. You--you okay?

Brady: You asking me if I picked up or something?

Daniel: Um, have you?

Brady: No. Hell, no. Hell, no. I'm not going down that road again, all right.

Daniel: All right.

Brady: I mean, it took me a long time to kick it, so I don't know if I'd be able to kick it again.

Daniel: Yeah, well, then I don't get it.

Brady: It's just I don't-- I don't feel--I don't feel like me. I feel unfocused, I feel jittery, I feel agitated. I don't know what's going on.

Daniel: Oh, yeah. You do seem a little bit on edge here.

Brady: But I'm not taking anything, though, that's the thing. I just want to prove it to Madison.

Daniel: Ah! So she wants you to take the test. All right, we'll do it, man. Come on.

Brady: Hold on, Daniel, Daniel, wait, wait, wait. I volunteered, and she said she would go along with it. I mean, it's probably the same thing, but...I just, um... I just want to prove it to her.

Daniel: Yeah. No, I see. Yeah.

Brady: I mean, it kills me that she's not believing me that I'm not using again. I mean, I would never do that to myself, man. I would never do it to her.

Daniel: Hey, hey, I don't think she's accusing you. I think she just wants to be sure, that's all.

Brady: Yeah, but, hey, you know what they say about addicts, right? I mean, they just lie through their teeth to get the next hit. Right? Daniel, you believe me, right? Come on.

Daniel: Yeah, if you say you're not using, yeah, that's good enough for me. Yeah, why don't I run a blood panel after we do this drug test, see if there's some other medical thing happening here.

Both: Yeah.

Brady: That's a good idea. Good. Okay.

Daniel: All right.

Cameron: You'll have a great time at the concert.

Abigail: Yeah, but what am I supposed to do with the extra pass?

Cameron: You know, Chad. Chad's a major fan.

Abigail: He is. Yeah, but, I mean, his dad just died.

Cameron: Well, it might do him some good to take his mind off of that.

Abigail: I guess I could ask him.

Cameron: So what are you waiting for?

Abigail: Nothing, I guess.

Cameron: Just don't forget about my rain check, okay?

Abigail: Don't worry, I won't. Hey. You wouldn't be interested in a couple of tickets to the Black Eyed Peas concert tonight, would you?

Cameron: Are you serious? How much?

Abigail: I can't believe I'm saying this. Nothing. They're yours if you want 'em.

Cameron: You are a goddess to me.

Abigail: Oh. Okay. Well, have fun.

Cameron: You know that kid?

Abigail: Never saw him before in my life, but he does think that I am a total goddess.

Cameron: Well, I can't argue with that. But I thought you wanted to go to the show.

Abigail: With you. I wanted to go with you.

Maggie: You give up? You'll let me go?

Victor: Because I love you that much. I'll always love you. I'm so sorry that I hurt you, Maggie.

Maggie: A marriage, it can't survive on love alone. It has to be nurtured with trust...which can only come from honesty.

Victor: I'll never lie to you again or hold anything from you.

Maggie: I do. I love you, Victor.

Victor: Does that mean you can forgive me?

Abigail: So what time do you have to pick up Theo?

Cameron: Um, actually got a couple hours to kill. You want to kill 'em together? All right, since you gave up your tickets, you pick. What do you want to do?

Abigail: Okay, um... oh, I know. Actually, never mind. You'd hate it.

Cameron: Try me.

Abigail: Well, I was just thinking that it's such a beautiful day out, how do you feel about picking blackberries?

Cameron: Is that code for something I'm not hip enough to know about?

Abigail: No. No, I mean, like, picking real wild blackberries. You know, thorn patches.

Cameron: Wow.

Abigail: You hate it. Okay, never mind.

Cameron: No, I don't hate it. I'm just--I've never done it.

Abigail: Really?

Cameron: I mean, what can I tell you? I'm a city boy.

Abigail: Well, city boy, you have missed out on one of life's greatest experiences. I know this perfect place where they grow wild along the side of the road, and it's not even that far from Theo's therapy. When I was a kid, I used to bring them home by the bucketful, and my Great-Gram would bake pies with them.

Cameron: I would never have pegged you for the berry-picking type.

Abigail: Well, what can I say? I am a small town girl. Even though I always told myself when I grew up that I would get my first apartment in this big city like Chicago or New York maybe, and I loved London, but I don't know--

Cameron: But you came back here.

Abigail: Salem's home. And you know what? It's got a lot going for it.

Cameron: I'm seeing that more every day.

Victor: I thought I'd lost you.

Maggie: Well, you haven't. There is one condition that I insist upon.

Victor: Name it.

Maggie: We have to be honest with Daniel as to how all this came about. I mean, he needs to know that you arranged for my eggs to go to the woman that he believed was his mother.

Victor: We'll tell him together. How's your appetite now?

Maggie: For food?

Victor: What else? I've missed you, Maggie.

Maggie: Well, I know it's still the afternoon, but...

Daniel: We should have those test results back later today. How long have you been experiencing those symptoms anyway?

Brady: You mean feeling like I want to jump out of my skin?

Daniel: Those. Yeah.

Brady: They come and go. You know, I mean, today is--I don't feel good today. Today's bad. I mean, I haven't felt like this since I went through withdrawal.

Daniel: Well, what about your meetings? You still going to those?

Brady: I stopped. 'Cause I was feeling great. I was feeling good, so why go to the meetings, right? But I know that's not the point. You're supposed to keep going, but life gets busy. I didn't have time.

Daniel: Yeah, yeah, yeah. What about Maggie? I mean, is my mother still your sponsor?

Brady: Well, she hasn't fired me, if that's what you mean.

Daniel: Well, I mean, well, why not talk to her? I mean, that's supposed to help.

Brady: She's busy. She's busy.

Daniel: You know, the way I understand it, people who've gotten clean and or sober through a program always have time to help out one another.

Brady: That's what I've heard. Yeah, they say that.

Daniel: Yeah. Well, you know, it's been way overdue for a visit to my mom and Victor anyway, so let's-- let's go together. Come on. Yeah.

Brady: Hey, go together-- I mean, what are you saying? That you feel like you have to hold my hand all the way over there or I'm not gonna make it there? Think I'm gonna head off to an alley and try to score something? What are you saying to me, dude?

Daniel: Whoa, whoa, I'm not saying that, right?

Brady: It felt like you were saying--

Daniel: No, I don't. Hey, listen. Come on. Let me help you with this.

Brady: Okay.

Daniel: All right? Come on.

Madison: Can I show you the rest of the sketches or are you gonna keep distracting me with personal questions?

Ian: Believe me, I have no desire to hear the details of your love life. I care about you. I want to see you happy.

Madison: Great, well, I'll just have to take you at your word then.

Ian: I appreciate that. I want you to know that I'm here for you if you want to talk. If you need any help, come to me.

Madison: It's so strange, Ian, you know, because you're offering me help, and there's nothing in it for you.

Ian: I've earned your skepticism. But I also realize it's futile to stand in the way of true love.

Madison: Yeah, I'm sure reconnecting with Kate didn't hurt.

Ian: [Chuckles] You do see the world a lot differently when you're in love. I just wish everybody could be as happy as I am.

Madison: Ian, I'm happy, okay?

Ian: I don't want you to get upset--

Madison: Everything is going to be fine between me and Brady.

Ian: I don't want you to get upset with me. But I know you better than anybody else in the world, so I'm going to be direct.

Madison: Oh, by all means.

Ian: This thing you have with Brady Black... is this another one of your mistakes?

Madison: My relationship with Brady is not a mistake. In fact, he's the best thing that's ever happened to me.

Ian: I should be offended.

Madison: Oh, Ian, come on. Aren't we so far past that by now?

Ian: You tell me.

Madison: Well, you never cared about me as a real woman. I was just a piece of clay that you tried to mold into your perfect idea of a wife. And you know what? I got tired of being controlled by you. You made me suffer. So let's not sit here and pretend like there's any love lost between the two of us, shall we?

Ian: You know, you sadden me if you think you meant so little to me. I remember when we first met. We had our first heart-to-heart. You told me about your childhood and how your father had abandoned you. That broke my heart. I cared for you then. I care for you today. But you've spent the greater part of your life feeling that you do not deserve to be loved, so it's perfectly understandable that you'd settle for somebody like Brady Black.

Madison: I am not settling for Brady. We're not settling with each other. I'm gonna have a wonderful life with Brady. Perfectly wonderf-- what is it, Ian? Come on. Just go ahead, say it.

Ian: You are desperately trying to ignore what is perfectly obvious to everybody else. Your boyfriend is a mess. Kate thinks he's using drugs again.

Madison: He's not using drugs, okay? I asked him.

Ian: Oh, and of course drug addicts, they always tell the truth.

Madison: Ian, he just went and took a drug test. Now would he do that if he had anything to hide?

[Knock at door]

Victor: Whoever it is, they'll go away.

Maggie: Victor. Whoo.

Brady: Hello. Hope this isn't a bad time.

Maggie: Oh, never, never. You two are always welcome.

Victor: I'll have Henderson bring some tea.

Daniel: Whoa, thanks, but this isn't a social visit.

Brady: Yeah, I was hoping I could talk to you for a little bit.

Victor: Are you all right?

Maggie: Of course. What's wrong?

Brady: Nothing. I'm just-- well, I haven't been to a meeting in a while, so I was-- I just wanted to talk.

Maggie: Okay. Well, we'll talk in the living room, and you and Daniel can keep each other company. Sit. Make yourself comfortable.

Brady: No, no, no, I'd rather stand if that's okay.

Maggie: What's going on?

Brady: Look, I haven't slipped. I haven't slipped, I swear. But I kind of feel like I have.

Maggie: Okay, how do you mean?

Brady: How do I mean? What--look, I don't know if it's the same for alcoholics, but, when you're craving drugs, you feel jumpy, you feel a little agitated, you feel, you know, you just want your next hit. You just keep feeling you want more.

Maggie: Well, it's kind of the same. Is that how you're feeling, Brady?

Brady: Mm-hmm. I do. I do. I can't focus on anything. I can't really sit still. And all I can think about is getting something that will make me not feel this way.

Abigail: Theo and Ciara were so cute. Sharing their berries with each other? Oh, my gosh. How did he know that these little, deep, purple ones were the sweetest?

Cameron: Got to say, Theo's special. He knows a lot of things kids his age don't know.

Abigail: Well, next time, we are definitely taking him with us.

Cameron: He'd love that.

Abigail: Right?

Cameron: So would I. And you have berry juice on your face.

Abigail: No, where? Oh, my God. Really? Here I am walking around, thinking I look so adorable.

Cameron: Trust me, you still look adorable.

Abigail: Let me get it.

Cameron: Whoo. Who's anyway?

Abigail: I have to admit, I was a little disappointed when you said you wouldn't come to Chicago with me.

Cameron: So was I. And it had nothing to do with missing the concert either. Even though that would have been a nice bonus. I just wanted to spend time with you. Someone up there must like me since that's what I got to do.

Abigail: Even if it was the lamest afternoon you ever had?

Cameron: Are you kidding? Picking wild berries, you and I making Theo laugh, hanging out with you in a little town square? If that's lame, I'll take it.

Victor: If Brady's gonna be backsliding, he's gonna jeopardize everything he's worked so hard for-- re-establishing Basic Black with his father, his future with Madison.

Daniel: You know, what matters is that Brady recognizes he has a problem and is talking to his sponsor, right?

Victor: Yes, withholding things can certainly cause a lot of damage. I don't know if she told you, but I almost lost your mother because of a secret.

Daniel: No, she didn't tell me.

Victor: Well, actually, there's something the three of us need to sit down and talk about, but not today.

Daniel: Okay. All right. So I take it you and she worked things out then?

Victor: Thank God. I'm the luckiest man in the world to be married to your mother. Nothing like any of my other exes--Vivian, Kate, Nicole. I'm lucky to have survived those women.

Daniel: Yeah, you know, I almost forgot that you and Nicole were married.

Victor: Wish that I could forget that sneaky, conniving gold digger.

Brady: I don't get it, because I haven't felt like this in a long, long, long, long time.

Maggie: Cravings are natural, Brady. I mean, even after all this time, I get the occasional urge for a drink. Really.

Brady: Why now? Why do I feel this way now?

Maggie: H-A-L-T. Hungry, angry, lonely, tired. Those are all triggers that make you want to pick up a drink or a drug?

Brady: No, Maggie, that is not me right now. That is nothing to do with me right now, because, I mean, Madison and I are going to get married, even though we talked about postponing it, but I'm fine with it. My dad and I, we have our company. It's going well. I mean, I... I'm--I'm... I'm good. I'm this close to getting everything I've ever wanted. I'm fine.

Maggie: Well, maybe that's it. Maybe things are going so well, you're scared.

Brady: I'm scared? Why would I be scared about living my life with the woman that I love? It doesn't make any sense.

Maggie: You know the answer to that. You're an addict, Brady. Addicts have as hard a time dealing with success as they do with failure.

Brady: I have never loved a woman in my life as much as I love Madison. I feel like I'm screwing this up.

Ian: Promise me one thing. You won't let him drag you down.

Madison: He won't.

Ian: I spent many years building you up to become the extraordinary woman that you are. It would make me very sad if it all went to waste.

Abigail: I know you weren't very impressed with Salem when you first got here.

Cameron: It just seemed like one of these boring places you see on a map and drive by on your way someplace else.

Abigail: Someplace where people don't think that spending a great afternoon involves picking wild berries perhaps?

Cameron: Something like that. My mom had to talk me into coming here. I only gave in because I wanted to meet my sister. Then I did. And she was diagnosed with that damn brain tumor. I wasn't about to go anywhere. [Clears throat]

Abigail: I know that Lexie's really glad you're here, Cameron.

Cameron: So am I. I just wish I'd come sooner.

Abigail: I know.

Cameron: It's hard knowing we're all privately counting the days she has left. But I wouldn't trade that time for anything in the world.

Abigail: I can't even imagine.

Cameron: It's funny... how you can meet someone, know them for the shortest time, and feel like they've been in your life forever.

Abigail: So, uh, you're probably anxious to get back to your old life, right? Leave little, old Salem in your rearview mirror?

Cameron: Actually... I'm thinking about staying in little, old Salem.

Daniel: Was Nicole really as bad as all that?

Victor: Ha. She's worse. She's like a chameleon. She's whatever the person she's with wants her to be. But rest assured, she's always got an agenda.

Daniel: I see. Okay.

Victor: Terrible thing is I knew about all this stuff before I married her. I went ahead and did it anyway. I'm lucky to have gotten out of that relationship alive.

Daniel: Oh, come on, that's a bit of an exaggeration.

Victor: Oh, not at all. She's like a siren. Utterly enchanting to more than a few members of the male persuasion.

Daniel: Well, I know she's funny, smart...

Victor: And beautiful. And I wouldn't wish her on my worst enemy. Oh, I take that back. She's married to EJ DiMera. Couldn't be a better match.

Daniel: [Chuckles] Yeah, well, she and EJ are getting divorced.

Victor: Oh, well, that's too bad. I pity the next guy that falls for her.

Both: And the wisdom to know the difference.

Brady: Oh, I feel better already.

Maggie: Don't lie to your sponsor, Brady Black. It's gonna take a lot of time and work.

Brady: I know. Maybe I should go back to those meetings.

Maggie: Well, it wouldn't hurt. I can't tell you why you have this sudden urge to use again, but I'm glad you came by to talk about it.

Brady: I did something else before I came by. I went and had a drug test.

Maggie: Why, if you haven't slipped?

Brady: Because, um... Madison. She believes me. She just has her doubts. You know, I thought if I could get the results in black and white, they would fix everything.

Maggie: Well, just so you know, I'm here for you, Brady. You can call, you can come by at any time.

Brady: Thank you. Maggie, I'm gonna be fine. I'm gonna beat this, whatever's going on with me. I can't go down that path again. I have too much to live for now.

Abigail: Of course you want to stay for Theo.

Cameron: I did promise him that I'd take him camping this summer.

Abigail: So what about your job? How long will they let you be away?

Cameron: Well, depends. I'm thinking about talking to H.R. people here at the hospital and seeing if they have any openings on staff.

Abigail: That would be amazing. For Theo. That would be awesome for Theo.

Cameron: There's another reason I'm thinking about staying.

Abigail: There is?

Cameron: I don't want to say good-bye to you.

[Door opens]

Brady: Hey.

Madison: Hey, yourself. Hi, Daniel.

Daniel: Hello. Well, Brady thought you'd want to hear it from me. We ran the test, and the lab's working on getting the results right now.

Madison: You didn't have to bring a witness, honey.

Brady: I wanted you to know that I did what I said I was gonna do, so...

Madison: Okay, it's not that I don't believe Brady when he tells me he's clean. It's just he's been acting really strange lately. There's definitely something going on.

Brady: Honey, come here. Come listen. Don't apologize. I'm a recovering addict, and you have every reason to question my behavior, but you have my word...I'm not hiding anything from you.

Victor: You know, I don't understand. Why would Brady feel the urge to start using drugs again?

Maggie: Well, the important thing is he hasn't. And as far as the urge to use again, it's not unnatural.

Victor: But you don't feel the urge to drink, do you?

Maggie: Says who?

Victor: Is it true, after all this time?

Maggie: Well, that's why we say "recovering" and not "recovered". I can go for months without thinking about a drink, but then there are times when life becomes challenging. The idea starts dancing around in my brain.

Victor: I've given you so many challenging moments lately, Maggie. I'm so sorry.

Maggie: I wouldn't be here if I didn't believe you were. I'm not asking for miracles, Victor. Just as long as I know that you're trying to be the man that I know you can be.

Victor: I promise.

Maggie: Well, then we're gonna be okay, won't we? [Laughter] Oh, one day at a time.

Brady: You know, um, I did more than take the test. I went to talk to Maggie.

Madison: Your sponsor? I'm glad you're talking to her about this, but if you're not using any drugs--

Brady: I'm not, but, I mean, obviously there's something going on with me. I don't know what it is, but I want to do everything I can to make sure I stay clean, so...

Madison: Well, that's good. That's good for you. I don't want you to think that you only have Maggie, though, in your corner. You have me too, Brady, you know? I'm not going anywhere. I'm really--I'm sorry if I made you feel like I don't trust you.

Brady: I don't blame you.

Madison: I mean, you were an addict, you know? I just want to put this behind us. When the test comes back negative, it'll be over and done with for good.

Brady: That's all I want. That's all I want.
