Lucas: Lunge all the way down, come on.
Lucas: There you go.
Sami: Whoa. Wow.
Lucas: That's gotta hurt.
Sami: I love seeing them together.
Lucas: Yeah, it's great. I guess outdoor family day must've been Lexie's idea. Probably the last good idea the mayor's office will have since, you know--
Sami: She's dying.
Lucas: Yeah, I'm sorry.
Lucas: I'm sorry, I can't stop thinking about it. That's why I wanted to spend today with you and the kids. You know, Sydney and Johnny, they could've come too.
Sami: I was thinking that-- that too, but, um, we had those plans with Ciara, and so it all worked out. Grandma's taking them to the zoo.
Lucas: Oh, okay. You know, it's the first day since I've been back that all four of us are together.
Sami: [Chuckling] Well, now that you're staying, we can do this a lot more often.
Lucas: You know what? I'd like that. Very much.
Sami: Me too.
Lucas: Be nice.
Lucas: Can't hold on--
Billie: Mind if I join you?
EJ: Yes, as a matter of fact, I do mind.
Bo: Would you guys--I can make it from my own front door to the couch. Let go of me.
Marlena: I think you better turn him loose.
Bo: Yeah, thank you, Marlena. Thank you very much.
Hope: You just got out of the hospital.
Bo: Yeah, well, they wouldn't have discharged me if I wasn't ready to come home.
Hope: Yeah, well, that's not exactly true. We had to twist Daniel's arm to release you early. They wanted you to stay a few more days.
Bo: Yeah, well, what does he know?
Hope: You see what I'm dealing with? You see what I'm dealing with here, right? The world's worst patient ever.
Bo: 'Cause I'm not a patient, I'm fine.
Marlena: I know you're feeling better. I know you're thrilled to be home. But you are still recuperating.
John: Yeah, you'd better do what the doctor says. You're gonna wind up right back at Salem University Hospital. You like that thought? Room 446, put you right back in there.
Bo: Who's side you on? Come on, I just wanna sit here and have you guys fill me in on what happened in Alamainia while I was in never never land.
Hope: You have a few weeks?
John: You know, I don't think you need to be debriefed on that right now. I think what you need is a little alone time with your wife.
Bo: My wife. Now I love the sound of that. So, Fancy Face, when do we get married?
Bo: Hope, come on, when do we get to retie the knot?
Hope: Not as soon as I want to.
Bo: What's the holdup? I mean, you--you spent the two weeks in Alamainia, you filed the petition, what--what? Right?
John: Right, yeah.
Bo: Okay, so how long does it take for the divorce to be recognized here? I'm getting a bad feeling in the pit of my gut.
Hope: John and I filed the petition the first day we were there, Bo.
John: It wasn't finalized. We weren't able to obtain the divorce decree.
Bo: Why not?
John: We got a little sidetracked by DiMera.
EJ: I'm busy.
Billie: Yeah, right. Pretty cushy job you've got there, Mr. Mayor.
EJ: So tell me something. What are you up to now that your mother's lost her position at Countess Wilhelmina? I imagine that you no longer have your rather, uh... cushy position.
Billie: Well, now I'm just one of the unemployed masses. Oh, but don't worry about me, EJ.
EJ: I'm not.
Billie: Listen, I'm not gonna take up a lot of your valuable time. I just would like an answer to the question I asked you the other day.
EJ: If you are referring to the day on which I caught you snooping around, reading private DiMera files, don't waste your time. I could've had you arrested, and I still might.
Billie: Oh, you won't. You didn't go to your father. Otherwise I wouldn't still be sitting here. We both know why you didn't go to Stefano, don't we?
Sami: Gimme! Come on, come on, come on, come on.
Lucas: You can have it, have it, don't hurt me.
Sami: Here, Allie. Yay, you're on my team. Good job. See? This is so much fun. Will, I'm so glad you could join us.
Will: Oh, of course, I would never miss spending the day with Dad and Allie.
Sami: So what do you wanna do first, Allie? There's a trampoline, the potato sack races, lots of fun stuff.
Lucas: And later, we're gonna kick some you-know-what in the hoop-shooting contest.
Allie: I wanna kick some too.
Lucas: Your gonna kick some with me?
Will: Okay, well, here, I'll teach you how to dunk, come on.
Will: Let's go.
Lucas: But not really.
Will: Yeah, really.
Lucas: No. Thanks. Come on. Just give him a little space, okay?
Sami: I know, I know. I've been trying to do that. It's just hard, you know?
Lucas: I know. He'll come around, just give him some time. He's a kid.
Sami: I'm trying, and I know I'm supposed to be patient. And I think I could be if I thought it was getting better, but it's not. It's getting worse.
Lucas: Well, no offense, but I didn't think it could get any worse.
Sami: Thank you. Thank you, Lucas, that's helping so much.
Lucas: I was just wondering why you'd say something like that.
Sami: Because I know that something's going on with him, something that I have nothing to do with, and I can't help him.
Lucas: All right, okay. I'll talk to him later about it, but not today. Today, we stick to the ground rules.
Sami: Ground rules?
Lucas: Yeah, we got ground rules today. I didn't--I didn't tell you about that yet. Remember yesterday you were gonna have that drama-free day, and it didn't happen? Today we're gonna make it happen.
Hope: Agent Spencer's working with the state department to convince the Alamainian Government to grant John's and my divorce in absentia.
Marlena: And when that happens, we can remarry our spouses.
Bo: So the old man just used the divorce as a way to get you to Alamainia. He really wanted you to find this coin.
John: Well...half a coin.
Hope: It was hidden inside an Anastasia egg, which apparently Princess Gina and The Pawn stole for him.
John: But instead of giving it to him, we--we hid it away, and the old man's been searching for it all these years.
Bo: Okay, but, um, you don't have Princess Gina's memories, and you don't remember anything about when you were Stefano's pawn.
Hope: No, neither one of us remember anything about it.
Bo: So how did Stefano think you could help, and more importantly, how'd you know where to look?
Marlena: Look, there's no need to go into all that right now. Last thing Bo needs is to be upset.
Hope: I agree.
Bo: Too late for that. How'd you find the damn egg? Come on, just tell me. What did that bastard do to you?
Hope: He turned us back into Princess Gina and The Pawn.
Lucas: All right, from now until midnight, there's no more talking about anyone or anything that is gonna upset you.
Sami: All right. That's a really long list.
Lucas: Check it out.
Lucas: It is a really long list. No more talking about will, okay? Or EJ, or my mom, or Madison, or Rafe, or Nicole--
Sami: You know what? I'm sick of you bossing me around.
Lucas: Bossing you around's a dirty job, but somebody has got to do it.
Sami: No, no!
Lucas: Today is all about having a good time with the family.
Sami: No, Lucas!
Lucas: Ooh, with the one hand.
Sami: Best five out of seven.
Lucas: No, no, come on, that's it. Don't be sore. You lost.
Sami: That is a really long list, and there are still people you forgot.
Lucas: Yeah, probably a few.
Sami: So what happens if I cheat, or, you know, violate your rules in some small way?
Lucas: Well, then I punish you in some big way for violating those rules. I'll make you run around the Horton Square till you get sick.
Sami: Oh, really?
Sami: I won't get sick, 'cause you know what? I've been running almost every day since you went to Hong Kong. I'll race you to the rock wall. Ready, set, go!
Lucas: That's a false start, cheater.
Hope: Nothing happened between us.
John: Nope. See, I love this woman with all my life, just like Hope loves you.
Bo: If Stefano turned you into Princess Gina, and you into the pawn, you were two different people. People who loved each other so much that you got married.
John: Well, you know, his mind control didn't work this time, Bo. At least not long enough for him to get what he wanted.
Marlena: Stefano was hoping that they would never realize who they were. If that had happened, they wouldn't be here right now.
Bo: Well, how'd you keep the mind control from working?
John: Well, first of all, we knew what was happening, so we prepared ourselves. And then we got lucky. I found a photograph of Doc in our hotel room. And something about her face and her eyes just--just kept drawing me in, and drawing me in, until finally it all clicked.
Hope: And then he helped me. Once he realized what happened, he kept talking to me about you, about us, about how much I loved you.
John: Didn't take her long to come around either. But then the task we had was pretending that we were still under Stefano's thumb, or we never would've got out of Alamainia alive.
Bo: So this is why DiMera's so furious. His whole plan backfired.
John: Yeah. Not only did we make our escape, but we got out of town with that half a coin he so desperately wanted.
Bo: Obviously still wants.
John: Well, he's not gonna get it. At least not until we figure out what it means.
Marlena: Is there any thought that maybe Stefano already has the other half of the coin?
Hope: I didn't get that feeling. In fact, I don't think he even knows what's on the half we have.
Bo: So we're one step ahead of him.
John: Whoa, tough guy, what's this "we" stuff? Come on, man, you just came out of a coma. I don't think you're quite ready to join the investigation just yet.
Bo: Have we met?
EJ: Well, Billie, what can I say? You got me. If I press charges against you, then I'm sure you'll go whining to the press about what you found in the mayor's domicile. I can tell you this though. My hands are clean. However, you would instigate a rather unwelcome investigation, and frankly, I could do without the fuss.
Billie: Nice try. But you know what? That's not the reason you saved my ass.
EJ: "Saved my ass." What a colorful American expression. I can assure you, Billie, that my reasons are a lot more relevant than yours, and you still haven't satisfactorily explained what you were doing poking around in my house.
Billie: Oh, come on, I told you. I came upon that hidden compartment completely by accident. I--anyone--
EJ: Well, it may have been an accident the first time. The second time, it was certainly intentional. Clearly you're working for somebody who's trying to dig up some dirt on either myself, my father, or both of us. So you can either tell me, or you can tell my father.
Bo: There's no way you're acing me out of this investigation.
Hope: You're still recovering, Brady.
Bo: What would kill me is to let that bastard get away with what he's done to us.
Hope: John's on the case with the I.S.-- I'm not gonna win this one, am I? I didn't think so.
Bo: So, uh, these coins--this coin. Do you think whatever's on it will lead us to the funds that were stolen from Basic Black?
John: Possibly. Could be part of a longstanding DiMera family account.
Marlena: Oh, I think Stefano embezzled that money and then framed you for it.
John: Ah, you know, one way or another, we're gonna find the truth. Agent Spencer's got an agent working on that angle right now.
Hope: Anyone you know?
John: Didn't give me any names. Just said that they're very good and they're fearless when it comes to the DiMeras.
Billie: Here's another colorful American expression. Cut the crap. We both know that Stefano is not your favorite person right now. He's never been mine. But now I hate him even more for what he's done to my mother.
EJ: [Clearing throat] Your mother committed the one crime which my father does not forgive.
Billie: We've all made those kinds of mistakes. I know that, and you know that. She still loves him, and her heart's broken.
EJ: Well, that's a pity.
Billie: [Chuckling] I like that about you. You know, you don't pretend to be anybody that you're not. No, you know, you have no compassion, no warmth. Only raw, self-serving ego and ambition. Good for you.
EJ: Got me elected mayor.
Billie: I don't know. Seems like you've lost more than you've gained to me. Nicole, your father's respect and confidence.
EJ: Billie, you don't know anything about my life.
Billie: No, and I don't really care to know anything about your life. I wanna get the dirt on your old man, and make him pay for what he did to my mother and my business. I started Countess W. That is my company. And he is just using it as a weapon against my mother. I mean, how dare he take that company away from my mother and give it to Sami Brady?
EJ: I see. So your wanting to go after my father, that's purely personal, is it? That's your story. You're sticking to that, right?
Billie: So help me.
EJ: Okay. Well, even if I did believe you, why would I ever support you in ruining my father and taking away my children's legacy?
Billie: No, no, you wouldn't. But we know--we both know--if Stefano is not stopped, everything that you have worked so hard for could just--poof--go up in smoke, just like all the money in those overseas bank accounts. Come on, EJ, it's time to fess up. You've no idea what your father's up to, and it scares the hell out of you, doesn't it?
Sami: I win, I win! [Laughing]
Lucas: Yeah, you trampled an old lady and a poodle on your way to Victory. Yeah, you won, good job.
Sami: Oh, she was fine. I did not trample her.
Lucas: You had a head start. That wasn't fair.
Sami: I knew you were gonna bring that up.
Lucas: Let's start even and see what happens.
Sami: You are such a sore loser. Who's competitive?
Lucas: I'm competitive.
Sami: Who's competitive?
Lucas: When I get beat, I'm competitive.
Will: Hey, ahoy.
Lucas: Hey, hey.
Will: Allie just climbed to the top of the rock wall, beat this guy three times her size.
Sami: No way.
Lucas: She did? High five, good job.
Lucas: No, hit it harder. There you go. Just like your mother, good job.
Will: Don't say that.
Lucas: It's a compliment.
Sami: Hey, sweetie, that was awesome, good for you. Yeah, should we get the--oh, give me a hug, all right. Should we get some water? We could--oh, hey, your friend Olivia's right over there. You wanna go say hi?
Sami: You know, we saw you at the wall. You looked amazing. You went up it so fast. I can't--I don't know how you did it.
Lucas: Yeah, you scaled that thing, didn't you? He's all yoked up, he's been working out. Look at these guns.
Will: Well, I--I'm--I'm, uh-- my building has a gym, so--
Sami: Well...EJ's building, right?
Will: Oh, yeah. Is he paying for your place too? How's working for Stefano, by the way?
Lucas: You know, that's enough, both of you. We're here to have a good time, okay? I'm not gonna let either of you spoil it.
Will: I'm not spoil--okay, fine. But actually I do have one question for you. Why didn't you tell me you were staying in Salem? I'm not--I'm not--I mean, I'm glad. I am, but, I mean, what happened to your fiancé?
Lucas: Well, I was gonna tell you when we were alone, but, you know, um...she broke up with me. We're not getting married.
Will: I'm sorry. What happened, huh? Wait, wait, actually, um, I'm gonna take a wild guess. Did it have something to do with you leaving her and coming halfway across the world to rescue, uh, her?
Lucas: I'm not rescuing anybody. I'm here for you and Allie too.
Will: [Chuckling] Yeah. Congrats, Mom. What, it's not enough to wreck your own relationships, you gotta wreck Dad's too?
Bo: One thing in our favor is, when the old man gets mad, he gets careless.
John: Man, he's madder than I've ever seen him before.
Marlena: I want him brought down as much as everybody else in this room does. But I think with the news about Lexie, maybe we should tread lightly.
Hope: I agree.
Bo: I feel terrible for Lexie, but...are you kidding me?
Hope: Marlena does have a point. I'm not thinking about Stefano here, believe me. I'm thinking about Lex. What it would do to her if we go after her father in what might be the last few weeks of her life?
Marlena: She is going to need the love and support of her family, her entire family, and Stefano adores her.
John: His only redeeming quality.
Marlena: And for some inexplicable reason, she loves him. And if she needs him now, we should not be the ones to take him away from her.
Hope: Losing a child rocks your whole world. The things Stefano was willing to kill for last week hopefully won't seem as important to him now.
Marlena: And he'll be less obsessed about finding the coin.
Hope: And making our lives hell.
Marlena: What is it?
John: Well, I'm afraid you were both wrong.
Lucas: You know what? Your mother doesn't deserve that. So why don't you treat her with some respect, and start acting like a member of this family? You got it?
Will: Yeah, I got it.
Sami: Hey, you know what? Your dad, um, made a real effort for today, so let's you and I do the same thing. Let's start over. I'm game if you are.
Will: Hey, what's up? Oh! Hey, you wanna hit the trampoline?
Will: Yeah? Okay, great. Come on, come on.
Sami: Be careful.
Will: Uh, yeah, of course.
Sami: Do you think it's safe over there?
Lucas: Yeah, yeah, he's--he's fine. He's got everything under control.
Sami: Yeah, I mean, I know that he would do anything to protect Allie. He's such a good big brother. I mean, he's always... always looked after his--his brother and his sisters. He's fantastic, except when I'm around.
Lucas: Relax. It'll get better, okay? I promise.
Sami: Ahem, I hope so. You remember when he was little? I remember I was petrified to even let him play on the swings or the slide. I was so afraid that he would fall because--
Lucas: Because what?
Sami: Because I was 18 years old, and I had no idea what I was doing. I mean, it's not like--
Lucas: Like what?
Sami: It's not like I had a good role model of how to be a mother, you know? My mom never had a chance to even show me what to do, or help me through any of it. And then I realized, you know, she had her own issues, and... it's like Carrie. Did I ever tell you about the time that she pushed me off the slide when I was four?
Lucas: She did not.
Sami: [Chuckling] See that? You don't even believe me.
Lucas: It's not that I don't believe you, it's just kind of hard to picture, you know?
Sami: It's all right, it's fine, it's the story of my life, you know? She-- she did. She pushed me off the slide on purpose, I fell, I landed on my hand, and--and I had to get a splint on my middle finger, and the whole time, it was sticking straight up--
Sami: It's not funny. I was--
Lucas: It's kind of funny. The middle finger? Come on. I'm sorry, I apologize, go on.
Sami: It's just that nobody believed me. She said it was an accident, and so everyone, of course, took her word for it. I know this isn't about Carrie, all right? I don't need you to tell me that. Look, it's just that it's--it's hard. You--you look back on your childhood, and you look back on everything that we went through with--with Stefano taking my dad away, and taking my mom away.
Lucas: I know, I know.
Sami: And John was great. Look, I can look back now, and I can see what an effort he was making for us. And Eric and I were surrounded by Brady’s. I mean, we have a loving family, but everyone had issues. Everyone had major things that they were working through, and--and Eric and I, we felt like we had to suck it up.
Lucas: Must've been tough for you guys.
Sami: Tough is what makes you strong, right? [Clearing throat]
Lucas: It also makes you who you are. So I'm glad all those things happened. I'm really glad those crazy things happened to you when you were growing up. Made you who you are. I wouldn't change a thing.
Billie: The contents of that file folder shook you, didn't it, EJ? You tried to hide it, but I could see it in your eyes.
EJ: Don't be absurd.
Billie: You're worried. Maybe you're even a little frightened. You know what? I think you should be.
Marlena: Well, come on, what does it say?
John: "Fair warning: Return what's mine, or lose someone you love." No name, don't recognize the number.
Bo: Yeah, but we all know who it's from.
Hope: Yeah, he's threatening to kill us if we don't give him the coin.
John: Bo, he almost murdered you when we were in Alamainia. And I know for a fact that he would've given the word to his assassin to pull the trigger on Doc.
Hope: He forced us to watch a live feed.
Bo: He's one sick son of a bitch.
Hope: He wanted to make it very clear that he could get to the both of you whenever he wanted.
Marlena: So nothing's changed, but now he's warning us.
John: All right, first priority: Keep you, Hope, the family safe. You ladies are gonna have to lie low until we bring him in.
Marlena: I don't wanna hide behind closed doors.
Hope: I don't think we have a choice.
Bo: Yeah. He doesn't have to come after us with guns blazing. If he wants to destroy our lives, look what he did in Alamainia.
Hope: Bo, don't go there.
Bo: We didn't think it was possible, but he turned you into Princess Gina, John into the pawn. What's to stop him from doing that again? Does aspirin even work on headaches?
John: Well, the fact is, there's no telling what he'll do or who he's gonna go after if he doesn't get his coin back.
Marlena: Why don't you just give it to him?
John: I think that'd be a mistake.
Bo: Yeah, it's the only thing we have on him right now.
John: Yeah, if we can figure out why that coin is so damn important to him, I've got a good feeling we can put him away once and for all.
Marlena: Okay, what do we do?
John: First thing is, I gotta get you back to the townhouse. We're gonna call Roman, set up security around the building. Same goes for your house right here.
Bo: Yeah, I'm gonna have Ciara stay with mom, okay? For a little while longer.
Hope: We haven't even had one night home together as a family.
Bo: I know, and I don't like it any more than you do, but I don't see any way around it.
John: All right, I'm gonna call Roman and work out all the details. I'll let you know what's going on.
Marlena: Is there any thought that maybe we're overreacting?
John: Stefano just warned me that someone's gonna die, Doc. I've never known him to make idle threats. Have you?
EJ: Billie, my dear, you are treading on rather dangerous ground.
Billie: Oh, believe me, I know. I will admit that when you caught me with those papers, I said a quick "Hail Mary" just in case.
EJ: Really, did you think I would hurt you?
Billie: I don't know what you're capable of, EJ, and I'm not sure I wanna find out. So, yes, I was scared for a minute. Happy?
Billie: But to my amazement and my relief, you didn't touch a hair on my head. And guess what.
Billie: That made me wonder. And the conclusion that I came to was that you are still considering the offer that I made you the other day.
EJ: Uh, I do hate to disappoint you, but you could not be more wrong.
Billie: For you and I to hook up--and I mean that in the old school sense of the word only--to figure out how that money disappeared from those bank accounts.
EJ: My dear, why would I do that?
Billie: To find out what your father is involved in, and to understand why he's kept you completely out of it.
Lucas: I cannot believe you went for a double-somersault like that.
Lucas: Definitely not a no-drama moment.
Sami: Yes, go sit with your dad. I know, I can't believe I did it either, actually. [Sighs]
Lucas: Well, I guess you proved me wrong, didn't you? You still got it.
Sami: Yeah, I guess I do.
Lucas: Yeah, you do. You know, your mom was on the all-county gymnastics team when she was in 11th grade. She was awesome.
Will: I didn't know that.
Sami: Well, I didn't make it to the championship tournament or anything, because I--
Will: Because--oh, because you got pregnant with me.
Sami: Well, it's not like I was Shannon Miller or anything. Besides, I ended up with a way better prize.
Lucas: I got pictures in a yearbook to show you sometime, if you don't believe me.
Sami: Oh, please don't do that, no, no. No yearbook. Unless we make popcorn, and then we show my embarrassing pictures and my bad hair, and daddy in his military uniform.
Sami: I still have those pictures. Sound like a date?
Will: Um...I'll, uh--thanks. I'm gonna pass though. I mean, I wish things could be like that again, but, um, they can't.
Sami: Still laughing.
Lucas: Come here. Did you have a good time today with your mom and your dad?
Allie: The trampoline was the best.
Lucas: Was it?
Will: Hey. Hey, you ready for that, um, berry fruity smoothie I promised you?
Lucas: She gets a smoothie? Aw, man.
Will: Yeah? Okay, great. And then I'm taking you over to grandma's for your favorite dinner.
Allie: Mac and cheese?
Will: Yeah, Mac and cheese.
Will: Okay. See you, Dad.
Lucas: All right, I'll see you soon.
Will: Um, I'm glad you're staying, really, I am.
Sami: See you later, Miss Gator. So fun today. And, uh, just let grandma know that we'll be by to pick her up after.
Will: All right. Can you grab her--
Sami: Oh, here you go.
Lucas: Oh, yeah, can't forget the balloons.
Sami: No, no, awesome.
Lucas: Souvenir time.
Will: Okay, see you.
Lucas: All right.
Lucas: [Clearing throat] Sorry about that.
Sami: Why are you sorry?
Lucas: Well, I just wanted today to be special with the kids.
Sami: It was. It was special. Allie had a great time.
Lucas: I think Will did too, as much as he doesn't want to admit it.
Sami: Well, I have no trouble admitting it. I had fun.
Lucas: Well, you don't have to say that, but thank you.
Sami: It's true. It was awesome. I mean...it's been a long time since we've had family time, and it was really special today, and it was special even if will can't stand to be within 10 feet of me.
Lucas: Well, if he felt that way, he never would've come.
Sami: That's one way to look at it. And if there's one thing will and I can agree on... I'm glad you're back.
Lucas: Aw, that makes three of us.
John: All right, Roman's gonna meet us, and then we're gonna check back in with Bo and Hope. I'll give you a call.
Bo: Hey, sounds like a plan.
Hope: It won't be long.
Marlena: No, it won't. And you.
Marlena: I'll hug your hands.
Marlena: I'm just so glad you're home.
Bo: Yeah, so am I.
Hope: Be careful, okay?
John: You too.
Hope: Well, Mr. Brady, it's getting late. I should get you up to bed.
Bo: There's something I need more than sleep.
Bo: Time alone with my beautiful wife. You don't know how much I've missed you.
Hope: Oh, yes, I do.
Bo: Oh, yeah?
Hope: Oh, yes, I do.
Bo: Okay, come here.
Billie: You may not like the idea of working with me, but you have to admit, it makes sense. I mean, think about it. Two heads and all?
EJ: Why? Because your head was full of police procedures before you reverted to your lipstick wars?
Billie: Yes, I was an officer of the law once upon a time. I didn't like wearing that uniform, but I am a good investigator.
EJ: Clearly. Although we've already established that you're not looking for anything, and you're just wanting to help me out of the goodness of your heart, right?
Billie: No, now Stefano has hurt my mother, and it's time for him to pay. So stop stalling. Are you in, or are you out?
EJ: My dear, you don't seriously think that I'm going to betray my father, do you?
Billie: Oh, you're gonna be loyal, EJ? Especially now that you know that your father's betraying you?
Marlena: Honey, do you think that asking Roman to provide around-the-clock security for the four of us may be, I don't know, going a little overboard?
John: No. There's something different about Stefano's threats this time around. In all these years, I've never seen the man so desperate.
Marlena: Why do you say that?
John: It's as if his never-ending chess game is finally coming to an end. He's going all out for one last checkmate, and it doesn't matter who or what he has to sacrifice in order to get that win.
EJ: Well, I wish I could say that it had been a pleasure.
Billie: Don't worry about it, EJ. You know, we don't have to get along in order to help each other out. Let me leave you something to chew on.
EJ: As long as you promise to leave.
Billie: I was talking to my sister-in-law Carrie about John's arrest and exoneration. And apparently Carrie was able to get the charges dropped against John because someone tipped she and Rafe off.
EJ: Someone tipped her off.
Billie: Yes. And the key to John's innocence was in the timing that the money transfer was supposedly made.
EJ: What does that have to do with me?
Billie: Well, they'd apparently almost given up on clearing his name, when all of a sudden, the information that they needed to prove his innocence came to them out of the blue by a very unlikely source.
EJ: Well, Billie, that is fascinating, but if you'd excuse me, I'm afraid I have to get going.
Billie: Well, didn't you ever wonder how they figured it out? I mean, Carrie and--and Rafe, they're smart, but they kept running up against one dead end after another until someone pointed them in the right direction.
EJ: If you say so.
Billie: Ask yourself, how did they solve that puzzle and exonerate John Black? Or better yet, ask your father.
Lucas: I really do miss being with the kids like that. You know? I mean, the whole family.
Sami: I wish Will felt the same way.
Lucas: I'm sure he does. Just don't give up, okay?
Sami: Oh, never. I'm not gonna give up. I just wish he knew--believed me when I told him I love him.
Lucas: I'm sure he knows. You know what? I'll do whatever I can to help.
Sami: Thank you.
Lucas: For what?
Sami: For staying. For coming back in the first place. For hanging in there with me even when I won't listen to your advice. For chasing me down and making me face my life. But mostly for never giving up on me.
Lucas: That's it? That's no problem at all. It's my pleasure.
Bo: I missed this. I missed this. I missed these.
Hope: Wait, wait, wait.
Hope: Are you sure your doctors would approve?
Bo: The only approval I need is yours. Well?
Hope: Oh, Brady. Of course, I approve.
John: That's right, we're on our way over right now. Mm-hmm.
Marlena: You know, I want to stop at the market--
John: No, I wanna get you home as soon as possible.
Marlena: Oh, God, oh!
John: Oh, let her go.
Man: Stop right there.
John: What do you want?
Man: Tell me where the coin is, or the pretty lady's dead.
