Will: I'm not, I'm not. I am gay.
Gabi: Are you sure? Okay, um...wait, when did you figure this--I mean, while we were dating?
Will: Um, I guess I've known about it for a long time.
Gabi: Why didn't you tell me then?
Will: Because I wasn't ready to accept that I knew it. You know, I was with the sweetest and the most beautiful girl in the world, and, uh, we couldn't make it work because of me.
Gabi: Wow. You're really gay. How do you feel about this?
Will: Oh, um...I mean, I'm at peace mostly, you know? It wasn't the end of the world like I thought it would be at first. I mean, I still feel like a--a man. And, uh, now that I'm, you know, not fighting it, it doesn't even feel like a big deal.
Gabi: Well, I mean, it is to me. I mean, I feel like this is my fault.
Madison: Sasha, you promised us the cover. No, a fashion layout on page 492 is not better than the cover. Yeah, but the whole idea is to promote Basic Black with Mad World working together. That--that's the whole... okay, all right, you do that. She's gonna talk to her editor and get back to me. What? What?
Brady: I just--God, I love watching you do business. I just--I like it.
Madison: Oh, good. The next order of business is sticking it to Sami Brady for defecting to Countess W.
Brady: [Clearing throat] Yeah, I see.
Madison: Uh-huh, and if you're gonna take your stepsister's side, you can leave right now.
Brady: I'm not gonna. You're stuck with me. I'm here.
Madison: I'm starving.
Brady: Me too.
Madison: I'm talking about food.
Brady: Oh, yeah, yeah, no, no, I know.
Madison: Can we order in?
Brady: Maybe. I'll see if Tina can, you know, maybe get something. Tina, are you there? No, Tina's gone. Tina's gone for the night. I guess it's just you and me.
Madison: And the vending machines.
Brady: Remember the last time we ate out of those vending machines? Do you remember what happened when we were snowed in here?
Madison: Yeah, I do.
Brady: Mm, me too. That was a good night, hm?
Madison: [Chuckling] It was a very good night.
Ian: Sadly, those nights are behind you.
EJ: Fun time is over, Father.
Stefano: Really? Huh, I thought it had just begun.
EJ: Here. You wanna tell me what that means?
Stefano: I don't talk about my private business in front of enemies.
Kate: I'm not your enemy. I'm your wife, and I love you.
Stefano: That should be taken care of very shortly.
EJ: So you want to be alone, is that it? Without either one of us?
Stefano: I accepted the fact that I married an ex-hooker, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna stay married to one who's still in the business.
Kate: My God.
EJ: You don't wanna talk to her, that's fine. But I'm not leaving here until you explain to me why you have been sabotaging everything that I have tried to do.
Stefano: Because you're not the man I thought you were.
Will: Gabi, it's not your fault that I'm gay. It doesn't have anything to do with you.
Gabi: Okay, look, in high school, there was this guy I liked. Jake. I mean, we were in show choir together, and--
Will: Show choir?
Gabi: Yeah, I was, and I couldn't stop thinking about him. I'd bring him coffee, I'd let him copy my homework, and he was really nice. But...
Will: But he never asked you out. Did he tell you he was gay, or did you find out?
Gabi: Well, he told me, all right.
Will: Gabi, you had a crush on a guy who was already gay. You didn't make him that way.
Gabi: I mean, Will... first Jake, and now you. I mean, two guys that couldn't love me back? There must be something wrong with me.
Melanie: [Clearing throat]
Chad: [Clearing throat] Uh, sweetie, uh, wow. I--yeah, I-I can explain this--
Melanie: It's fine. You don't need to explain anything, Chad.
Chad: [Clearing throat] Mm.
Madison: What do you want, Ian?
Brady: Do you really have to ask? Guy probably heard about our business deal, and now he wants to screw it up, right?
Ian: Can you make the effort to get over yourself, just this once? I want to speak to you alone.
Brady: Why, do you wanna play some mind games with her? You wanna mess with her head, is that what you wanna do?
Madison: Brady, please don't do this.
EJ: I'm not the man you thought I was.
Stefano: That's right.
EJ: Well, I know how you feel. 'Cause I don't recognize you either.
Stefano: Look, if you want to talk to me about what's inside of there, that's fine. But not in front of her.
Kate: God, I can't stand this. Can you not stop?
Stefano: No, I can't stop, okay? You are dead to me.
Kate: You mean that?
Stefano: Oh, yes, I mean it very much. I mean it. Now you either get out of here, or I'll have you thrown out. I don't care one way or the other, just get the hell out.
Girl: So who are you to talk to my friend like that?
Chad: Listen, she's--
Melanie: I'm his girlfriend. Ha! I know. So it's my job to look after him. And I know he's really hot--he is, I know--and he's been in a magazine, but that doesn't mean that every questionable young lady gets to stick her tongue down his throat. Are we on the same page?
Girl: Who are you calling a questionable young lady?
Melanie: Sweetie, if the tube top fits.
Girl: Come on, let's get out of here.
Girl 2: What a bitch.
Melanie: I know, I know. But Chad's my boyfriend, and it's gonna stay that way, okay?
Chad: Mm, uh, wow.
Melanie: I've been wanting to do that for a long time.
Chad: I'm--I'm impressed.
Melanie: Was that too much? Did I go too far? That was a little bit too much.
Chad: No, no, no. I, uh--three girls fighting over me? I'm--I'm--I'm a little scared, uh, and really turned on at the same time.
Melanie: Ha. All right.
Chad: Oh, burn! Burn.
Will: There's nothing wrong with you. Except maybe you might need to have your gaydar tuned a little bit. Seriously, though, how--how could you have known this about me? I wasn't even ready to know about it myself. I didn't know what I was doing. I didn't know what I wanted.
Gabi: And you do now?
Will: Yeah. I wanna say that I'm sorry if I ever made you feel undesirable.
Gabi: You know, I'm really glad we ended up friends.
Will: [Chuckling] Yeah, me too.
Gabi: Oh, and if I ever put the moves on any guy that you think might be gay, just--
Will: I'll let you know. But I don't think you have anything to worry about. You're--you're gonna find a good guy. Soon.
Melanie: Got me so mad. [Giggling] Yes, you wanna try me? Try it. Remember last time that happened?
Will: Hello? This is like you going after Jake.
Gabi: What are you talking about? Chad's not gay.
Will: Yeah, but he's not into you either.
Gabi: But he could be if you helped me.
Ian: You can drop the white knight bit. It doesn't work, and it's not necessary. I'm not gonna harm Madison. I'm not gonna hurt your precious relationship. I'm the head of Titan. I recognize a money-making opportunity when I see one. And I do not let my emotions get in the way of profit. So if you don't mind, I'd like some time with Madison alone.
Madison: I'll be fine.
Brady: You'd better be.
Ian: He's completely humorless, that one. I mean, do you two have any fun? Do you?
Madison: What do you want, Ian?
Ian: A conversation with you about the man you love.
Kate: You're throwing me out. After everything we've meant to each other. In everything you have done, every moment of the day, I had your back. I didn't love you when I married you. But I've fallen more deeply in love with you than I've ever been.
Stefano: Don't talk to me about love. Hmm? What do you wanna do? You wanna make a fool out of me, is that it?
Kate: If you would let me explain to you...
Stefano: There is no explanation for what you have done. You made your own bed, Katherine. So I suggest you get out of here, and go and lie in it.
Madison: Say what you came to say. Let's get it over with.
Ian: I am still your boss and your husband, and I care about you very deeply. I have done since the first time I laid eyes on you.
Madison: Behind the makeup counter at Bendel's. I know how it goes, Ian. You made me what I am today. You own me. I got it.
Ian: Actually I wanted to spend a few moments with you alone while you still are my wife.
Madison: What does that mean?
Ian: Despite all my great efforts, I can see you're still deeply in love with Brady. Who am I to stand in the way of true love?
Madison: Oh, come on, you do it all the time.
Ian: Not this time.
Madison: You're so good at it, come on.
Ian: No, this time is different. I come bearing gifts.
Madison: What kind of gifts?
Ian: Divorce, darling. Freedom. Anything that you want.
Madison: What's the catch, Ian?
Ian: There is no catch. I love you, probably always will. But, uh, I have my pride. I'm not gonna keep you in this marriage any longer.
Madison: Are you serious?
Ian: Completely. You're free.
Kate: You can throw me out, but you won't stop me from loving you. Even though you did test me for no reason.
Stefano: I'm tired of this conversation. We are finished. It's over.
Kate: Fine, but I think it's enough that I lose you. I'm not going to lose my livelihood as well.
Stefano: Oh, ho, there it is, eh? It's all about business, isn't that sad?
Kate: That's right. I built Countess W. and Hearth & Home all by myself.
Stefano: Uh-huh, and now it belongs to DiMera.
Kate: No, no, you were not responsible for the success of those companies. It was me alone. You were the silent partner.
Stefano: Isn't it sad when your partner betrays you?
Kate: You're leaving me with nothing.
Stefano: Get out! You think you take off all your make-up before bed.
Will: So I guess you two won't be joining us?
Melanie: Uh, no, well... [Laughing] No!
Melanie: We're waiting for our coffees, so we'll let you-- you guys have fun.
Chad: See you later.
Gabi: "You guys have fun."
Will: [Clearing throat] You wanna walk me through your master plan to break them up?
Gabi: You don't know what Chad's like when we're alone, okay? I mean, look, I knew Chad before Melanie did. I liked him before Melanie did. And I-I know that there's something still there.
Will: Like you thought there was with us?
Gabi: That was mean.
Will: I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be mean. I'm trying to get through to you. Okay? Gabi, I wanted to be in love with you because it would've meant that I wasn't gay. And I think you wanted to be in love with me just because you wanted to be in love.
Gabi: You really think I should give up on Chad?
Will: Yeah, don't you?
Gabi: Look, if we just had one--one chance--
Will: Gabi, stop fooling yourself, okay? Seriously, it's never gonna happen. Not while Melanie's in the picture.
Gabi: Yeah, well, she's not gonna be in the picture forever...if you help me out.
Will: Stop. That doesn't work on me. I'm gay, you remember.
Gabi: Yeah, but we're--we're still friends, right?
Will: Yes, and friends don't let friends do something so stupid.
Gabi: Look, after everything that we've gone through, I would hope that you'd want me to be happy.
Will: That's not fair.
Gabi: Life is not fair. So are you going to help me or not?
Madison: This is a trick, isn't it? You're gonna punish Brady, I know it.
Ian: This isn't a trick. I'm not gonna hold anything over Brady's head or yours, not anymore. Have your attorney call Mark Edelman. I've already spoken to him. I told him to make the divorce quick, easy, painless.
Madison: You're talking about lawyers? I-I... I can't believe it.
Ian: As sad as it is for me to say this, this is the end of us, Madison.
Ian: I haven't seen you smile like that for quite some time.
Madison: I feel like I'm looking at the good, honest man that I fell in love with. You know, the man who taught me almost everything I know about love, and about life, and about lipstick.
Ian: You would've figured it all out eventually on your own. I just recognized your potential.
Madison: Well, you were the only one who did back then.
Ian: I'll always love you. The girl you were. The woman you've become.
Madison: I'm never gonna forget what we had. But you're right, Ian, you know, it's time for us to move on.
Ian: Don't you think you'd better run out there and tell that man the good news? Put a smile on his face?
Madison: Thank you. Sorry.
EJ: I think it's about time you and I had an honest conversation about what's in those files.
Stefano: You already know what's in there.
EJ: Yeah. I have to admit, I'm shocked.
Stefano: Are you?
EJ: The whole time that I was setting up John Black--a man, incidentally, you hate--you're working to undermine me.
EJ: When I bleed his bank accounts dry... now the money's gone, right?
Stefano: C'est la vie.
EJ: C'est la-- and, uh, the election. You rigged that so I would lose.
Stefano: [Chuckling] You're still the mayor, so what are you crabbing about?
EJ: I want you to explain to me why you would do everything in your power to ruin your son.
Stefano: I don't have to explain anything to you. Let me by.
EJ: No. Not until you tell me everything that I want to know.
Will: I'm sorry, it--it's one of EJ's people, I need to call it.
Chad: [Clearing throat] So you gonna finish that coffee?
Melanie: Um, yeah--well, yeah, no, I just--I'm afraid that if we go into the, uh, parking lot, we will be accosted by one of your fans.
Chad: Uh, listen, I am sick of it too, uh, believe me.
Melanie: Ha, ha. No, it's okay, it's okay, it's fine. I'm not jealous or mad.
Chad: Well, that is good.
Melanie: Yes, I'm just a little--I mean, it's kind of annoying, you know? All those girls.
Melanie: I don't--I mean, they love you, and they hate me.
Chad: I don't think so--
Gabi: Oh, Melanie, um--
Gabi: I hope you're not letting those stupid comments on the internet get to you.
Melanie: No. No, no, no, no. Um, I mean, people say stupid things on the internet.
Chad: Yeah, I mean, you didn't deserve that garbage.
Gabi: No, those girls are just jealous. I mean, come on--oh, you remember that shoot we had on the--by the lake? Oh, my God, there were girls everywhere. The crew was going nuts. They all wanted to talk to Chad. It was just--
Gabi: They were unbelievable. I mean, if--if I were you--
Will: Oh, but you're not Melanie, are you?
Gabi: No, I was just saying that, uh..
Melanie: Yeah, no, it's--got it, Gabs. Um, there are lots of girls that want Chad. But I know that, and I'm on to them, and I'm not gonna let it happen.
Chad: This girl.
Brady: Good news.
Ian: I did it. I cut the ties with Madison. You can set the next phase in motion. Good. Kate.
Kate: I called your--your office, and they said that you were up here, so I, um, talked my way past your security guard.
Ian: You look awful.
Kate: Thank you.
Ian: Come here. Sit down. What is it?
Ian: What about him?
Kate: Threw me out. But before he did that, he took everything.
Ian: What do you mean?
Kate: Everything. From the clothes in my closet, to both of my companies. Everything.
Ian: He can't do that.
Kate: Oh, he did do that. The question is, what am I going to do?
EJ: Why would my own father go to such great lengths to sabotage me?
Stefano: Why do you always question what I do?
EJ: You know, Kate was right about one thing: I don't know who you are. You know, even when we were at each other's throats, I always knew that you loved me, 'cause I thought you were a man who loved his children. So why would you try and pull the rug out from underneath me?
Stefano: Come on, Elvis. Why, you never tried to do the same thing to me?
EJ: No, I did not.
Stefano: Oh, please. Don't take me for a fool, all right? As a matter of fact, when you were running for mayor, eh? You acted as if you did not even know me. On top of which, you never told me that you wanted to destroy John Black.
EJ: I did those things because I was trying to prove to you that I was ready to take over this family.
Stefano: And you failed.
EJ: I failed. Because of you, I failed.
Stefano: Mm-hmm. Because I know that you'll never, ever lead this family.
Will: Gabi, it's hopeless.
Gabi: It's not.
Will: Yes, it is. Honestly, you could have any guy that you wanted.
Gabi: I want Chad.
Will: You know, even if you do manage to break them up, there's no guarantee that he's gonna end up with you.
Gabi: Will, why do you have to be such a drag?
Will: Because I've been through this my whole life.
Gabi: What are you talking about?
Will: My mom is always, like, going after some guy who doesn't want her, or some guy who wants somebody else. It is always a disaster, and I'm sick of watching it. So you wanna go, you know, screw around with their lives, fine, but you're on your own.
Ian: You don't have to do this on your own. I'm here.
Kate: Well, thank you very much, but you really are the reason that I'm in this mess.
Ian: What happened?
Kate: There's surveillance photos of Marlena. He wanted me to find them. He--he thought that if I saw them, and--and thought that he was going after her again, he wanted to see what I would do, and...well, it turns out it was all a kind of fidelity test which, needless to say, I failed.
Ian: So he knows you and I were together.
Kate: Yes, he does.
Ian: So he pretended to be unfaithful to see whether you would be unfaithful. You're better off without him.
Kate: Oh, stop, he's my husband.
Ian: Oh, what kind of a husband takes everything away from you, and packs all your clothes in garbage bags and throws them out of the back of a mansion?
Kate: The truth is, Stefano and I had no problems until you came to Salem.
Ian: That's a good thing, Kate.
Kate: Oh, God, how can you say that?
Ian: Because you deserve better. You deserve better than being a nursemaid to some vicious, controlling old man.
Kate: Stop, stop. That's not what he is.
Ian: Oh, yes--please. He behaved like he--he--
Kate: What? He behaved like what? The way you treat Madison?
Ian: All right. I deserved that.
Kate: Yes. Yes, you do.
Ian: But unlike Stefano, I've done the right thing by Madison.
Kate: What do you mean by that?
Ian: I'm giving her a divorce.
Kate: Why? Why are you doing that?
Ian: Because I want to do the right thing by her. I'm not gonna stay married to her, not when I'm--not when I'm in love with you.
Kate: You only said that because you wanted to get me into bed.
Ian: Yes, I did. And I did get you into bed. But I love you. I love you very much, and I'll spend all my convincing you that it's true.
Brady: I got your text--hi. [Laughing] Wait a minute, you're really, really happy. What's going on? What's the good news? Did you finally kill him or something, or is he--is he dead?
Madison: I didn't have to kill him. He's letting me go.
Brady: What? Wait, what do you mean?
Madison: Isn't that great?
Brady: I don't believe it. I mean, it's too--what do you mean he's just letting you go--
Madison: No, yeah, he's letting me go. He said, "have your lawyer call my lawyer." [Chuckling]
Brady: I don't--ah, Madison, you know what? I think the lawyer's gonna say something like, "sure she can have a divorce, but he gets the company, he gets Mad World, he gets all your"--
Madison: No, no, no. I don't--I don't think so. It wasn't like that. I-I think he finally realizes what he's doing to me, you know? He realizes there's no point in staying with me if all I wanna do is be with you.
Brady: You're free.
Brady: You're serious.
Madison: I think so.
Brady: Oh, my God. Come--oh, my God.
Brady: Oh! You're sure about this?
Madison: I think so. I'm not totally sure.
EJ: I will never be the head of this family?
Stefano: That's right.
EJ: Well, I hope you plan on living for a very long time.
Stefano: [Chuckling] I don't know how long I will live, but of course there's always Chad.
EJ: Chad, really? Male model, doesn't care to talk to you. Excellent choice.
Stefano: Well, he's not quite as good as you.
EJ: You must really be threatened by me.
Stefano: Threatened? What way? [Laughing] Don't make me laugh.
EJ: Really? Why else would you do all this, hm?
Stefano: You'd better watch yourself.
EJ: I'm your son, and I have stood by you through thick and thin, and cleaned up your mess. So I have a right to know exactly what I have done to deserve this.
Stefano: You don't want to know. I mean that.
EJ: Just tell me something: What are you going to tell "Giovanni" and Sydney? How are you gonna explain why their Nonno is trying to ruin their father?
Stefano: I am not going to explain anything to them.
EJ: What, your own grandchildren, they don't matter to you. What are you gonna do? You're just gonna rattle around here alone in this big house, with Harold and Mary for company? My God. Whatever I've done, it must be pretty serious.
Stefano: I'm afraid, Elvis, that, uh, your failure really is not your fault. It's mine, for not being careful enough.
Will: I gotta go.
Gabi: Too bad. We were having such a good conversation.
Will: Look, Gabi, okay? I care about you, I really do. So please, for your sake, stop, okay? Give it up.
Gabi: I guess it's all up to me now.
Brady: I don't believe this. We're together and not worrying about Ian.
Madison: I don't know. I don't know what changed his mind.
Brady: Oh, I think there's probably something in it for him. I'd bet money on that.
Madison: I don't wanna talk about Ian, okay? I have almost everything I've ever wanted.
Brady: What do you mean "almost"? What do you mean--you should have--this should be everything you've ever wanted. [Chuckles] What's with "almost"?
Madison: You remember that night when you arranged that romantic dinner, little cafe for me?
Brady: Oh, the one on the Horton Square--yeah, I remember that. That was the one where I, uh, asked you to marry me, I think, and you couldn't because you were married to someone else. Yeah, I remember that pretty well. What about it?
Madison: I don't know. If that offer were to be back on the table, there's an excellent chance I'd say yes.
Madison: I mean, if, you know, it's not too late.
Brady: You know damn well it's not too late.
Madison: So ask me.
Brady: Will you marry me?
Madison: Brady Black, I would love to marry you.
Brady: Oh, I'm so glad you said that.
Kate: I'm broke and my life is a complete mess, and you're willing to see me through that. You're either the sweetest man I've ever known, or you're a complete sucker.
Ian: [Chuckling] We'll be together. That's all that matters to me.
Kate: I have to tell you, I can be pretty high-maintenance.
Ian: Did I mention to you that I'm filthy rich?
Kate: Yeah, um, I think you did.
Ian: I can buy you a whole new wardrobe. I can give you a job here at Titan. Anything you desire, you can have.
Kate: I can't tell you how much it means to me that you wanna be so generous, but I don't think anything's going to make me happy, not for a long time.
Ian: What about revenge? Did it ever occur to you to go after Stefano with my help?
Kate: You'd do that?
Ian: What do you think?
Kate: I think that he hates your guts, and I think that he'd come after you.
Ian: He won't do that.
Kate: How can you be so sure?
Ian: Let's just say that Stefano is gonna regret the day he ever hurt you.
EJ: If you don't stop talking in riddles--
Stefano: What? What? What are you going to do?
EJ: Something is eating you, something that involves me. You don't seem to want to tell me what it is. You bray at me about the importance of family, and then you treat me like a stranger. Fine. You know what? You don't feel like a father to me. Not anymore. In fact, you haven't for quite some time.
Stefano: You're right, Elvis. I'm not like a father to you... because, to my everlasting sorrow... you are not my son.
