Lucas: Stop.

Marlena: No, you'll be the first. You know that. Okay, sweetie, bye. Uh, will--checking on Bo.

Lucas: Yeah, he's been really worried about him.

Sami: Yeah, well, we all are. I mean, I don't understand what they're talking about. First the hospital says that Uncle Bo might wake up, and then they say that they have to put him in a medically induced coma? It sounds to me like they don't know what the hell they're talking about.

Marlena: Sami... in this kind of trauma, maybe his body needs to rest to heal. And his doctors are doing all they can for him, okay?

Sami: I'm just thinking about the fact that it could be Daddy.

Marlena: I understand.

Sami: But you didn't see them when they came into the pub covered in blood.

Lucas: All right.

Sami: I mean, it's just... it would just be nice to feel safe again.

Jennifer: It should be you, Abe, being sworn in as mayor, not EJ.

Abe: Yeah.

Jennifer: You did not rig this election. You won it fair and square.

Abe: Well, unfortunately, not very many people seem to believe that.

Jennifer: Yeah, more than you know. I promise you, we are going to prove that you were set up. The people responsible will not get away with this.

Abe: It seems to me like they already have.

Marlena: Oh, Kayla. Mm.

Kayla: Yeah.

Marlena: How is Caroline? I heard she was at the hospital all night.

Caroline: I'm fine.

Marlena: Aren't you exhausted? Oh, my goodness!

Caroline: No, no, no.

Kayla: Mother, I thought that you were going to rest.

Caroline: Well, I... I couldn't. My mind keeps racing. I mean, everything was so hopeful last night. Now it...

Kayla: Look, I know it's an emotional roller coaster, and it's difficult for you to see Bo like that. But you have to take care of yourself. He would want that. You know that.

Caroline: I know that. And we have to be strong for him, and we have to pray. And thank you. Thank you all for coming.

Marlena: I think it's a wonderful idea to hold a special prayer mass for Bo.

Lucas: Yeah, we're all happy we can be here.

[Door opens]

Austin: Hey.

Sami: Austin, I'm glad you came.

Lucas: Hey, what's up?

Austin: You've got to be kidding me! Lucas?

Lucas: Hey, man, how you doing?

Austin: What are you doing here? You don't even tell your big brother that you're coming home?

Lucas: Well, you know, come on, I didn't tell anybody. It was all pretty much last minute.

Sami: Hey, uh, Austin, have you seen Carrie?

Austin: Um, no. No. Why?

Sami: No reason--she just wasn't with the family at the hospital last night... of course, neither was Rafe.

Austin: Mm.

Carrie: Rafe?

Rafe: Oh, hey. Here for the inauguration?

Carrie: No. Who wants to see EJ DiMera being sworn in as mayor?

Rafe: [Scoffs] Not me. How's Bo?

Carrie: [Sighs] I went by the hospital earlier. They have no idea how long he'll be in the medically induced coma...

Rafe: God.

Carrie: Or if he'll even--

Rafe: I'm sorry. Sorry.

Carrie: I came here because I didn't want to go back to the hotel and deal with Austin and all of that.

Rafe: [Scoffs] Yeah, imagine that. Never wanted to deal with Sami either.

Carrie: I don't know about you, but I could use a friend to kill some time with.

Rafe: Is that what I am? I'm a friend?

Carrie: [Chuckles] You have a better word for us?

Rafe: No, it's--it's good. I'm just not sure I'm the person you should be spending time with right now, you know? It might make things worse.

Carrie: Hmm. I don't see how things could get much worse.

Rafe: Hmm. Did you have breakfast yet?

Carrie: I'm not really that hungry, although... I could go for a cup of coffee.

Rafe: Coffee's good. I don't see any harm in that.

Ian: Morning, darling.

Madison: Ian, what are you doing here--checking up on me?

Ian: Not at all. I brought you breakfast. You left so early this morning. Well, now I can see why. That's good. That's very good. Having me around brings out the best in you. I'm proud of you, darling. I'm very proud of you.

Jennifer: I can't even stand to be here right now and watch this. I really can't.

Abe: I don't want to be here either. You know, I'm worried. I'm worried about John and Hope. I'm worried about Bo and--

Lexie: Oh, I-I know. I-I know you're worried.

Abe: Oh, uh, look, is there any news since last night?

Lexie: Um, sorry.

Abe: Yeah, well, I'm sorry too. Uh, but, I-I'm... I'm glad you're here. I'm grateful.

Lexie: Uh, look, you--you should know I... I'm not here for you. I'm here for EJ.

Jennifer: You're here supporting EJ? Really?

Abe: Lexie, I-I understand that you're angry with me, but--

Lexie: Yes, Abe, I am angry with you... and disappointed, but that's not the reason I'm doing this.

Abe: Really? You publicly support your brother for the first time on the day he replaces me as mayor? What... what am I supposed to think?

Lexie: Okay, fine, fine. You want to know why I'm here? Because EJ made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

Kate: I know Stefano would be very proud of you today. I know that he wishes he was here.

EJ: I'm sure.

Kate: This is everything that he wanted for you.

EJ: To tell you the truth, Kate, this isn't exactly how I envisioned today.

Ian: You sure I can't tempt you? I've got all your favorites-- rich, buttery croissants. I've got skinny mocha latte with extra whipped cream.

Madison: No, I... grabbed something on my way in. It's actually pretty brave of you, trying to feed me again, considering what happened last time.

Ian: Well, I trust this food will not end up on this floor. I really am proud of you. You have your vision back... your focus and your talent. You're gonna turn mad world into a very valuable asset for Titan... not that I ever doubted it. What is that look for?

Madison: All these compliments from you make me feel like I'm about to be set up.

Abe: Lex. Lex! Wait.

Lexie: [Sighs] Abe, I don't want to fight with you, okay? Not--not here.

Abe: I-I just want to know what kind of offer EJ made you.

Lexie: He offered me a position on his staff.

Abe: And you said yes? What the hell were you thinking?

Lexie: I was thinking that maybe, as health commissioner, that I could make a difference.

Abe: Health commissioner. So that's why... [Sighs] I didn't know.

Lexie: Well, now you do.

Abe: Sorry. I-I-- and I don't mean just for today. I'm sorry about all of this.

Lexie: I know you are. Um, look, I-I told you, I'm--I'm not ready to talk about this yet.

Abe: For how long?

Lexie: I don't know, Abe. I--maybe forever. I-I-I don't know. Excuse me.

Abe: [Sighs]

Ian: You think I'm setting you up? Quite frankly, I'm a little offended. Can't a husband offer his considerably talented and very beautiful wife a compliment?

Madison: We don't have that kind of marriage, Ian.

Ian: Maybe we should, Madison.

Kate: Hey. Look, you're about to be inaugurated as the new mayor of Salem. Your father aside, the hell with Nicole, you should be on top of the world.

EJ: I know, I know, I know. You're right. You're right. She was a liability. I'm better off without her.

Kate: Yes, yes, you are. You're carving out a new legacy for the DiMera family. Hey, look who's here. [Laughs]

EJ: Ah.

Billie: Go on. It's your daddy. Give him a big hug and say congratulations!

EJ: [Laughs]

Johnny: Congratulations.

EJ: There you are. Hey.

Austin: I've been trying to reach Carrie, too. Um, I don't know. Maybe her cell phone's off or something.

Marlena: Now, why would you be trying to reach her? Weren't you with her this morning? Uh--

[Door closes]

Caroline: Oh.

Rafe: What's going on?

Carrie: Has something happened to Uncle Bo?

Caroline: No, dear, nothing's changed. It's the same as last night.

Marlena: We were trying to contact you because Caroline is holding a special mass for Bo. We were about to head for the church.

Carrie: Oh, uh--

Sami: Something you would know if you had been with the family at the hospital last night.

Marlena: Sami?

Sami: Well, I'm just pointing out that everybody was there except her... and, of course, Rafe. That worked out great for both of you, didn't it?

Rafe: Maybe I should go.

Carrie: No, you didn't do anything wrong. I wasn't with Rafe last night, Sami.

Sami: Why should we believe that? You're a terrible liar.

Marlena: You know what? Let's just all take a deep breath and calm ourselves down some.

Sami: Mom, you don't know what you're talking about.

Marlena: What is going on here?

Sami: I don't even understand how you can stand to be in the same room with her right now.

Austin: You don't know the whole story, Sami.

Sami: Really? What else is there to know? She and Rafe show up together first thing in the morning? I mean, I can do the math.

Carrie: Damn it--I am not the one having an affair.

Austin: Oh, Carrie, don't.

Carrie: Don't what? You're the one who slept with someone else, not me.

Ian: You know, the things you... you said to me last night, they really... they made an impression on me. I know I have not been the husband you wanted or deserved for quite some time. I would like to improve relations between us.

Madison: Why?

Ian: Because you are important to me.

Madison: Important to your image maybe.

Ian: Listen, I'm sorry if I have upset you. But I keep thinking of the happy days back in the beginning.

Madison: That was a long time ago.

Ian: I know. And I have more than my fair share to make up. But that's why I'm here. That's why I'm in Salem. That's why I've taken this job as the CEO of Titan--so that I can be close to you.

Madison: Really? That's why you're here-- because of me?

Ian: You and I both know I could write my ticket anywhere in the world. I'm in this town, and... I'm doing this job... for you.

EJ: There we go. All right, why don't we take a seat down here? There we go. There we go. Okay. I have something to tell you. Guys, no pictures. Thank you. Now, I know that you think that today is all about me, but I wanted to tell you that today is all about you, too. It's about us. It's about our family. [Chuckles] See, your daddy is, um-- he's going on a journey, an adventure, if you will. He's trying to build a better life for all of us so that you can be proud of who you are and--and where you came from and who your daddy is. Do you know why?

Johnny: Why?

EJ: Why?

Johnny: Why?

EJ: Because I love you two more than anything else in the world.

Johnny: We love you, too, Daddy.

EJ: [Sighs] Everything I do, I do for you two. [Whispering] Don't forget that. Okay? Okay?

Madison: Ian... what are you saying?

Ian: I love you, Madison. I want you to be happy.

Madison: If that's true, then I need you to prove it.

Ian: How?

Madison: Let me go. Ian... let me be free to be with Brady.

Sami: You cheated on Carrie?

Lucas: No way.

Marlena: This is neither the time nor the place for this.

Austin: I made a mistake, all right?

Sami: Yeah. No, how did it happen?

Carrie: You want to know, Sami? He was drunk. Isn't that what you told me, Austin?

Austin: Yeah, that's right. That's what I told you, because I was. And it's not an excuse, and I swear to God I didn't mean for it to happen. But by the time I realized what Abigail and I had done--

Sami: Abigail? Abigail Deveraux?

Lucas: Wait, wait, wait. You slept with my niece? Dude, what's the matter with you?

Austin: You think that I'm proud of it? I'm not proud of it, okay? But I'm not the only one that broke vows in this room. I don't have feelings for Abigail. I have only loved you, Carrie. Can you say the same? Come on, tell me. Can you say the same?

Rafe: Austin, come on, man.

Austin: Shut up, Rafe!

Rafe: Not now.

Austin: Shut up. That's my wife.

Rafe: Uh-huh.

Austin: Yeah, stay out of it. Go ahead--answer the question. You can't. So it's okay for you to come in here and embarrass me in front of our family and friends, but I got to keep my mouth shut about walking in on you telling this son of a bitch... [Exhales deeply] that you're falling in love with him?

Sami: Did you hear that? Carrie's falling in love with Rafe.

Austin: Yeah. I heard her say it myself.

Carrie: Austin--

Sami: You are unbelievable!

Rafe: All right, let's not blow this all out of proportion, all right?

Sami: Excuse me? My sister falling in love with my husband? I can't just pretend like it's not happening.

Carrie: Okay, just give me a chance to explain.

Sami: Explain what? 'Cause I already gave you that chance, Carrie. I asked you straight to your face, and you lied to me, you little slut!

Marlena: That's enough! That's enough! Back off.

Ian: You want me to let you go so you can be with another man? How many times are we gonna have this discussion? You understand perfectly well why that's not gonna work.

Madison: I don't. You said that you loved me.

Ian: I love you. I love you very much. That's why you can't ask me again. I don't want you to ask me again. Do you hear me? Do you hear me?

Madison: Yes. I hear you.

Ian: Good. Then go get yourself cleaned up. We are going to the mayor's inauguration. I would like you to dress and act the part of the perfect wife.

Jennifer: You know, I am shocked that they didn't ask you to stand on that stage during the ceremony.

Abe: Well, I was, actually.

Jennifer: You said no?

Abe: I just didn't want to give EJ the chance to create a spectacle at my expense.

Jennifer: Abe, let me tell you something eventually, he is going to show his true colors. It's inevitable. And then he will be responsible for his own downfall.

Abe: Well, I just hope Lexie's not caught in the crossfire.

Marlena: What is happening here? Your Uncle Bo is in the hospital fighting for his life. We're going to church to pray for him. And all you can do is make it about yourselves. Yes... it is difficult right now. But we don't stand here and hurl accusations at each other. And we don't air our differences in public. That is not what a family does, and we are a family. Make no mistake.

Sami: We're not--

Marlena: Don't you dare speak! You come look at your grandmother right now. Do you have any idea what she's going through... the pain she's in? And yet, she carries herself with dignity and respect. This family's in trouble. This family's in pain. They need you. They need you all. And you should all be ashamed of yourselves.

Rafe: Caroline, I just want you to know I'm praying for Bo. I was proud to work with him and look forward to doing it again someday.

Caroline: Thank you. Thank you, Rafe.

Rafe: Yeah. As for everything else... sorry.

Marlena: I appreciate the apology. Doesn't really do much good, though, does it?

Kayla: You okay?

Carrie: Uh, no. Obviously on about 100 different levels. I never meant for any of this to happen.

Kayla: I know that.

Carrie: [Sighs] You tried to warn me. I j--just-- when I found out that Austin slept with Abigail...

Kayla: You know what, Carrie? You can't blame her. She's a young girl. She can't be in the middle of your marital problems.

Austin: [Sighs]

Sami: I cannot believe that you cheated on Carrie.

Lucas: And with Abigail, my niece. Come on, man, she's practically a kid. What the hell were you thinking?

Austin: I di--I wasn't thinking, okay? I told you I was drinking. I made a mistake. I wish I could take it back, but I can't. I'm pretty sure it cost me everything.

EJ: And I'm confident that, as the health commissioner, my sister, Dr. Alexandra Carver, will be a dedicated advocate for the people.

EJ: Thank you. Thank you. Um... now, on a more serious note... on one of the last days of Mayor Carver's administration, the police commissioner and a high-ranking detective were brutally attacked... while serving in the line of duty. Detective Brady is in hospital fighting for his life. And, uh, we have compelling evidence that... one of Salem's most notorious crime organizations, the Moroni family, is responsible for this heinous act...

Abe: You know, the Moronis run a distant second to EJ and his old man.

EJ: Yet these men have not been apprehended. Well, that kind of irresponsible governing is over as of right now. As your mayor, I vow to bring an end to the corruption in our town's government, as well as the violence on the streets.

Jennifer: It's unbelievable. He's making it sound like you were responsible for the attacks on Bo and Roman.

Abe: Oh, it's more than that. He couldn't make these promises unless he was able to follow through. You know, he's not going after the Moronis because they deserve to be put behind bars.

Jennifer: Then why is he?

Abe: To make me look bad.

Lucas: What were you thinking? Does Jennifer know?

Austin: No, no, not yet.

Lucas: Well, she and Jack are gonna go ballistic.

Austin: Yeah, I realize that.

Sami: So how did it happen?

Austin: She works for me. She's--

Lucas: Yeah, I know. She works for you. She's your student.

Austin: No, no, no, listen. She was just there one night at the office when I showed up, and it happened to be the night that we caught Carrie and Rafe kissing. I was hurt. I was upset. I thought my marriage was over, and that's--

Lucas: So you just what-- jumped into bed with Abigail to make yourself feel better?

Austin: I was drunk. And I don't even remember it happening. Abigail had to tell me about it the next morning. I--it was completely humiliating.

Lucas: That kind of thing happens a lot with you, doesn't it, Austin?

Austin: [Scoffs] You know what, Lucas? You've been back five minutes already, okay?

Lucas: I call it like I see it.

Austin: No, no, no, let's just get it out. Sami drugged me. We've been over this.

Sami: Really? You had to bring that up?

Lucas: Well, I didn't--

Sami: Drink your coffee. Just drink your coffee.

Lucas: Nice.

Austin: Yeah, way to go.

Lucas: Well, this time you got no one to blame but yourself.

Sami: [Clears throat] Excuse me, Grandma. Can I, um, ask you something?

Rafe: I don't want to fight with you.

Sami: It's not a fight. [Clears throat]

Rafe: Okay.

Sami: It's a simple yes-or-no question. So Carrie told you that she's falling in love with you.

Rafe: Hmm.

Sami: Are you falling in love with her?

Rafe: [Scoffs]

Ian: Good morning, Kate.

Kate: It was.

Ian: Well, who are these lovely young children? They certainly aren't yours.

Madison: Johnny, hi.

Johnny: Hi!

Ian: Hi.

Madison: These are Sami's kids.

Kate: And this beautiful young girl is my granddaughter Allie.

Allie: Hi.

Ian: Hello, Allie.

Madison: I'm Madison James. I don't think we've met. You're Billie Reed?

Billie: I am.

Madison: I am so sorry about what your mother's done to the company.

Kate: There's no need to make apologies for me, Madison.

Madison: Well, you must be in some kind of trouble, Kate, if you called Billie here to help you out.

Kate: It's because she's twice the executive and innovative thinker that you are.

Ian: Let's play nice, ladies. Ms. Reed, I'm Ian McAllister. It's a genuine pleasure to meet you. I look forward to a healthy competition between your company and ours. Watching strong women do battle is one of my favorite spectator sports, especially when they're young and beautiful. Come this way, Madison. Bye, children.

Billie: So that's Ian McAllister?

Kate: Yep, and the puppet he calls his wife.

Billie: Oh, she doesn't seem so bad. It's kind of a shame he's married, though.

Kate: Why would you say something like that?

Billie: I don't know. I find him interesting... not to mention very attractive.

Kate: Stay away from him.

Billie: Mom, relax.

Kate: No, no, no. No, I mean it. You said yourself, he's an absolute womanizer, and he's in bed with the competition as well.

Billie: What's with you? Come on, it's just an observation.

Kate: I mean it. I mean it. I'm giving you a warning, and I hope you heed it. Come on, sweetie, come on. Let's go get some cocoa.

Billie: Bye, guys.

Kate: Come on, guys.

Billie: Here you go.

Kate: Come on, sweetie. Come on.

Billie: Bye, guys.

Madison: Billie, hi.

Billie: Well, hi, yourself. Hi, there.

Madison: Hi. I just--I didn't get a chance to say so before, but I've heard a lot of really good things about you.

Billie: You know what? Same here.

Madison: Not from your mother I'm guessing.

Billie: Well, no. She is not a fan.

Madison: Yeah, it's mutual.

Billie: Look, I'm not my mom. And I have a feeling you and I have a lot in common. I mean, the way we started our business with a lot of heart and soul, a lot of help from friends. Just--

Madison: Yeah, okay. Well, listen, I just... I want you to know, whatever happens between us, it's not personal, okay?

Billie: All's fair in--in war and business, right?

Madison: Right.

Billie: Okay.

Madison: But certainly not love.

Billie: Oh, I hope that's one area we won't be competing in.

Madison: Amen to that.

Billie: Gosh.

Sami: Are you gonna answer me? Are you falling in love with Carrie?

Rafe: [Scoffs] You want to talk to me about love after what you did to me... to our family... with EJ? [Scoffs] You don't deserve an answer.

[Door closes]

Ian: Ah, Mr. Mayor. Ian McAllister.

EJ: Ah... Mr. McAllister. Your reputation precedes you.

Ian: As does yours. I just heard your speech. You're planning to make order out of chaos, are you?

EJ: Well, we have to do the best with, uh, what we have.

Ian: Mm.

EJ: It was a pleasure to finally meet you.

Ian: Likewise. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful and productive friendship.

Sami: [Breathes deeply]

Caroline: Sami... you all right?

Sami: No. No, Grandma, I'm not.

Caroline: You want to talk about it?

Sami: There's nothing to talk about. It doesn't matter what Rafe says. It's obvious that he's falling in love with her. So my sister has managed to ruin my life again. But you know what, Grandma? We're not gonna talk about it now, okay? We won't.

Carrie: I'm sorry about all this.

Rafe: Not your fault.

Carrie: We have to talk to them--Austin and Sami. I mean, it can't go on like this. It isn't right.

Rafe: I agree. We should. I don't even know what to say. I'm so damn mad. [Scoffs] You know, maybe there's no point. Maybe she's already moved on.

[Train whistle blowing]

Rafe: People told me, "Sami can't be trusted. She plays games with other people's lives." I defended her every chance that I got.

Carrie: Because you loved her.

Rafe: Yeah. People told me not to trust her, though. She'd never change. Turns out they were right.

Austin: So it may not be the best time to bring this up, but Mom says you're engaged?

Lucas: Yeah. Yeah, I am. Got a picture of her here. You want to see her? Yeah, check her out.

Austin: Wow, Lucas. She's beautiful.

Lucas: Isn't she?

Austin: Yeah.

Lucas: Her name is Autumn.

Austin: Autumn.

Lucas: Yeah, yeah.

Austin: Autumn. And so how's Autumn feel about all this?

Lucas: About all what?

Austin: Well, you know, the whole, uh, leaving Hong Kong, including her, to come and hang out with your ex-wife.

Sami: [Chuckles]

EJ: So I need your, uh, budget and your agenda on my desk by the end of the week, please.

Lexie: You don't waste time, do you?

EJ: Well, with respect, Lexie, the last four years has been a waste of time.

Lexie: Oh, that is not true.

EJ: I'm telling you, I think it's really about time you started to see the truth and who Abraham is.

Lexie: And what truth is that, EJ?

EJ: He's an awful leader. He did nothing good for this town. Listen, I understand that your instinct is to defend him--I do.

Lexie: Yeah, and yours is to tear him down.

EJ: No, not at all. Look, he--he did that all by himself. He showed the people who he really is over the last couple of weeks. Frankly, I'm glad he's out of your life. I can't wait for you to get shot at the guy.

Lexie: Okay, enough. You are talking about the father of my child.

EJ: Now you're the person who's going to be setting an example for Theo, just in the same way that I set an example for Johnny and Sydney.

Abe: EJ's working hard to convince Lexie never to have anything to do with me again.

Jennifer: Abe, it doesn't matter. Lexie is way too smart to fall for that.

Abe: It seems to be happening.

Lucas: Autumn knows about my history with Sami, okay? And my history with Nicole and my history with Carrie. We have an honest relationship. We don't keep secrets from each other.

Sami: [Chuckles]

Lucas: That's what makes her very special. You know, she's nothing like anyone I've ever dated before.

Austin: Well, Lucas... it sounds like you really lucked out.

Lucas: Yeah, I did. I did, and I know it.

Sami: Well, I'm really happy for you.

Lucas: Thanks.

Sami: She sounds... amazing.

[Cell phone rings]

Kayla: Excuse me a second. Hello? Yes, this is she. Hold on a second. Hey, guys, it's the hospital.

Caroline: Oh, oh, my gosh. What did they say?

Kate: Okay, thanks.

Ian: There you are.

Kate: And here I go.

Ian: Your daughter's lovely. She's very much like you when we first met.

Kate: You stay away from Billie, do you hear me?

Ian: Or what?

Kate: Oh, it's not a question of what. If you even look in her direction, you're going to regret it. And by the way, when I finish with Sami for spying on me, I'm going to go after that bitch you call a wife, because she is not going to get away with what she did to me.

Ian: Nobody did anything to you. You are fine. And you can do whatever you like to Sami. I couldn't care less. But you so much as look at Madison... you will regret it... deeply. I take care of what's mine... at all costs.

Lexie: I'll get on top of it.

Abe: I know what the hell you're doing, and it's gonna stop right now. Now leave Lexie out of it.

Lexie: Abe, stop.

EJ: I have no idea what you're talking about, Abraham.

Abe: If you're man enough to come after me, then come after me! But leave my wife out of this.

EJ: Maybe you should take a little bit of your own advice, hmm? I think this town and my sister would be a lot better off without you in it.

Abe: Oh, you son of a--

Jennifer: Abe, don't do this. This is what he wants. He wants you to cause a scene. Don't do it.

EJ: I think if anybody is going to cause a scene, it should probably be me. [Clears throat] Officer. You know what to do.

Abe: W-wait a minute. Wait a minute. What--what are you doing? What are you doing? What's going on here? What are you--

EJ: My first act as mayor-- ordering your arrest for ballot tampering.

[Crowd murmuring]

Kayla: Yes, I understand. Uh, thank you for calling.

Caroline: What did they say?

Kayla: They said that Bo's stable.

Marlena: Oh.

Austin: That's good news.

Sami: That's it?

Caroline: Well, that's enough. I think we should all go to Mass now.

Kayla: Yeah. I'll get my things.

Marlena: Yes, let's do that. Wonderful idea.

Caroline: All right.

Sami: Mom?

Marlena: Yes? Oh, thank you. I'd like to talk to you after Mass, please.

Sami: Uh, I actually can't, because I have so much work I have to do. Kate's been all over me lately.

Lucas: Yeah, I wonder why.

Sami: Stop it. Sorry.

Lucas: Ow. I'll give you a ride if you want--see if my mom wants to have lunch or something.

Sami: Your mom has taken the kids to EJ's swearing-in ceremony.

Lucas: I still can't believe that. I still can't believe he won that damn election.

Sami: Well, I don't think "won" is really the right word, right? Let's go.

Marlena: Okay.

Kayla: Here you go.

Caroline: It's really hard when everybody you love is suffering so much.

Marlena: I know... especially when you can't do much to help them... but pray.

Caroline: Pray.

Marlena: Let's do that.

Kayla: Let's go, Mom.

Officer: I'm very sorry about this, mayor... Mr. Carver.

Abe: It's all right, Officer.

Lexie: EJ, is this really necessary?

EJ: Lexie, I'm just keeping a promise that I made to the electorate before I was elected, which was that I'm gonna keep the streets clean and get rid of corruption.

Jennifer: Abe is not the criminal in this town. Don't you worry. I'm gonna call Carrie. She'll meet us at the station.

EJ: Officer, would you, please?

Abe: What?

Officer: You can take that call later. Hands behind your back, please.

Abe: What the hell?

Jennifer: What? You're arresting both of us? For what, EJ?

EJ: You were an accomplice to the election fraud.

Abe: Oh...

Jennifer: How dare you? How dare you?

EJ: Take them away. Let's go.

Officer: All right, everybody out of the way. Move, move, make room. Get out of the way. Get out of the way.
