Daniel: [Breathes hard]
Daniel: [Breathes hard]
Abe: Well, would you like a fresh coffee? You look like you could use a pick-me-up. Yeah, I was, uh, just dropping by here, and I saw you at work.
Lexie: Have a seat.
Abe: Thank you.
Lexie: [Clears throat] Sometimes I need to, uh, escape all the insanity at the hospital and just come someplace peaceful.
Abe: Well, I remember when you used to need that kind of escape, you would come home... to me and Theo.
[Knocking at the door]
Nicole: Uh... who is it?
Rafe: It's me, Rafe.
Sami: Come in. Lucas, what are you doing here?
Lucas: Well, I heard my mom had you burning the midnight oil, so I thought I'd come by, see how you're doing. What is all this stuff? You've got it everywhere.
Sami: Oh, uh, this is, you know, my quest. Remember, you're mom put me in charge of finding the mole at Countess W?
Lucas: I, uh, well, I can give you hand, if you want. It's a lot of stuff to go through.
Sami: You know what? You don't have to do that.
Lucas: Yeah, but if I do, you'll be able to go home, right? Who knows, maybe tonight we can find out who that lying, backstabbing mole really is. [Sighs]
Billie: Hey. Don't stop on my account. [Laughs]
Daniel: No, no, no. You know, I could actually use the break, so--
Billie: I bet. That's a pretty intense workout.
Daniel: Well, go intense or go home, right?
Billie: I'm with you.
Daniel: Actually, I thought you'd be at home, getting some rest.
Billie: Why, do I have dark circles under my eyes? Do I need a little Countess W concealer?
Daniel: No, no, no, you're, uh, you're fine, really. I'm kidding, you look great. You do. No--[Laughs] I just--
Billie: Yeah, right.
Daniel: I just thought you've been logging in a lot of hours in Bo's hospital room, and that can get pretty draining, uh, pretty fast, so--
Billie: I'm fine. I'm fine, uh, I--I-- I--I'm just glad I'm here.
Daniel: Yeah, yeah. Me too, right? [Both chuckle] Yeah. You know, since we can't, uh, reach Hope, I think it'd make a big difference if Bo could hear your voice.
Billie: Well, thanks for saying that, but you know, it really--it doesn't make a difference. I just wish he would wake up.
Daniel: Well, you don't know. Just keep wishing.
Billie: I mean, I know you can't be there 24/7, and I'm sure you've left Bo in good hands, right?
Daniel: I got it covered, I'm good, I got--in fact, I have my pager with me in case anything changes.
Billie: Good, okay, good. Hey, can I just ask you one thing?
Daniel: Uh, well, that depends.
Billie: You're not sugar-coating any of this, right? I mean, Bo really has a chance of getting better?
Daniel: Well, you, uh, you know how strong he is.
Billie: Oh, he has a lot to fight for--his wife, his family, his kids.
Daniel: Well, what about you?
Billie: Oh, Bo and I are over--we were over a long time ago. We're just friends, that's all.
Daniel: Yeah? You--really, you sure about that?
Billie: Well, yeah, I mean, Bo was a huge part of my life for a very long time. He really--he straightened me out when my life was a mess. Um, listen, he gave me a beautiful daughter, and he will always be an important part of my life, but yeah. Yeah, I'm sure. [Sighs]
Lexie: You say you don't want to put pressure on me...
Abe: I don't.
Lexie: But then you make a comment implying that I'm the one who broke up our family.
Abe: Lexie, you're the one that said we needed to be apart.
Lexie: Yeah, and you know why.
Abe: [Sighs] Okay, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I... I just miss you.
Abe: How's Theo doing?
Lexie: He's with a sitter tonight.
Abe: You could've called me.
Lexie: Well, you have a lot to do.
Abe: Yeah, with handing my job over to EJ. You know, it-- it's not about the job. It never was about the job. It's about protecting this town.
Lexie: Yeah, from my...
Abe: Protecting the people--
Lexie: Evil family. Right, I know.
Abe: Theo should be with me. You both should be. I just miss you both so much. Lexie, we have all lost so much.
Lexie: Okay, stop. You're starting--you're starting again. Stop.
Abe: Just give me a minute here, just-- Lexie, I know--I know I lied, and I know I broke our trust, but you have to believe me when I say I did not fix that election. Lexie, just look at me, look at me. After everything that we've gone through, are--are-- are we really gonna let it end over...this?
Nicole: Ahem. What are you doing here?
Rafe: I was worried about you.
Nicole: I'm fine.
Rafe: Well, it was a pretty tense altercation you got in with EJ at the square. I was glad I was there.
Nicole: Me too.
Rafe: Sure you're okay?
Nicole: I'm fine. I mean, I'm--I'm fine as I can be, considering--
Rafe: Listen, if you want to press charges--
Nicole: Oh, no, come on. He grabbed my arm, I got upset. It's no big deal. Ahem.
Rafe: Well, I kind of think it is a big deal. He's the mayor of Salem now, I think the people deserve to know what kind of person he is.
Nicole: You don't think they know? Come on. He's a liar, a sociopath, a serial cheater, and scum. Yet they elected him anyway, and I helped him get there because I was stupid enough to climb into bed with him again.
Rafe: Yeah, well, listen, I don't think it's healthy for you to think that way though.
Nicole: [Sighs] You know what?
Nicole: You're right. Yeah, I mean, I just keep thinking to myself, "look on the bright side, Nicole, you're not as stupid as he was." I mean, to be...insane enough to go back to Sami-- no offense.
Rafe: No, no, no. I fully understand why you'd feel that way.
Rafe: Hey, no offense, but you're looking a little--
Nicole: What? I'm looking a little what?
Rafe: Well, stressed.
Rafe: No, it's okay. I haven't exactly been taking good care of myself either. You know what I miss the most? Having a kitchen.
Nicole: Yeah, you're telling me.
Nicole: But you were Sami's chief cook and bottle washer, I had a French chef.
Rafe: Yeah. But who really likes French food anyway, huh?
Nicole: Me. [Laughs]
Rafe: Could your cook do this, huh?
Rafe: Look what I've got here. Total American comfort food. Greasy fried chicken.
Rafe: Huh? Mashed potatoes. I got all the fixings.
Nicole: Oh, God.
Rafe: I got everything here.
Nicole: Oh, God.
Rafe: I got the whole--
Lucas: Don't worry about it, okay? We are gonna find out who the mole is, we'll find out tonight. Nobody's that good.
Sami: All right.
Lucas: And no one can hide their trail completely.
Sami: What makes you so sure?
Lucas: The way phones are, and computers, and credit card receipts? Come on. Everything leaves a record somewhere.
Sami: You know what, Lucas? You really don't have to do this.
Lucas: Need I remind you, I'm here for you and the kids. You know I hopped on a plane all the way from Hong Kong? The least you could do is let me help.
Sami: You know what? You want to help? Then just leave me the hell alone.
Lexie: In other words, my past mistakes are much worse than yours.
Abe: Is that what I said?
Lexie: Yeah, it's what you're thinking.
Abe: You didn't answer my question...about Theo. How is he?
Abe: Lexie, does he ask about me? Does he understand that I didn't leave because I wanted to?
Lexie: Yeah. Um, I talked to Marlena about what to tell him.
Lexie: I told him the truth.
Lexie: He's having a hard time. Your story is all over the news. The kids at school talk. Theo doesn't understand why the father that he idolizes would do something so bad.
Abe: He doesn't think I am actually guilty of fixing the election?
Lexie: It's too complicated for him to understand, Abe. I mean, he--he knows you're not going to be the mayor anymore. He knows you're not one of the good guys anymore. And it's rocked his world.
Abe: [Sniffs] Oh, I'm so sorry.
Lexie: [Sighs] I did ask him if... he wanted to see you.
Abe: And--and--and he said? Oh, my God. Oh, my God. He said no.
Lucas: What is going on? What's your problem right now?
Sami: My problem is that you made it clear that you were here for Will too, right? You don't have to sit here and play whac-a-mole with me. Your son needs you.
Lucas: I don't think he needs me, I think he needs a break from me is what he needs.
Sami: What does that mean? What did you do?
Lucas: Oh, I just had a little encounter with EJ, that's all.
Sami: [Sighs] What did you say?
Lucas: I told him that Will wasn't going to be his employee anymore.
Sami: Bet that went over well.
Lucas: Went over even worse with Will. I mean, he actually likes working for EJ.
Sami: No. No, I don't believe that. I'm sure he's just doing it to get back at me.
Lucas: That's not what he says. He says he likes the independence it gives him.
Lucas: Mm-hmm. But come on, Sami. He's 18 years old. He's not flipping burgers.
Lucas: You seen the kid's apartment? You seen that view he has? It's ridiculous.
Sami: No, no! I haven't seen it, thanks a lot.
Lucas: Well, he thinks he's living the good life, put it that way.
Sami: How about that new car? Did he take you for a spin? Was he speeding?
Lucas: Well, a little bit. What do you think?
Sami: Oh, my God.
Lucas: Nah, come on, relax. He's got a good head on his shoulders. Most of the time. I think he's gonna be okay in the end.
Sami: No. No, you don't. And I don't think that either. He is working for EJ, Lucas. I mean, who knows what's gonna happen to him? Who knows what he's gonna do when EJ tells him he's got to steal something, or--or make a drug run, or whatever?
Lucas: He's not gonna make a drug run, relax. He's gonna know when to draw the line. Hopefully we taught him the difference between right and wrong.
Sami: What if we didn't? What if I didn't? What if I screwed him up for life? I'm scared. All right? I'm scared for our son.
Rafe: I'm so sorry.
Rafe: Are you okay?
Nicole: Why are you sorry? I mean, I'm the one that ran in the bathroom and lost my lunch.
Nicole: [Clears throat] You know, you probably shouldn't get too close to me because I think I'm coming down with a bug or something.
Rafe: Well, have you taken your temperature?
Rafe: Well, let's see.
Nicole: Rafe, I--s--
Rafe: You don't have a fever.
Nicole: What are you, a human thermometer?
Rafe: Yeah, one degree, plus or minus.
Rafe: I got lots of practice with the kids.
Nicole: Have you seen Sydney lately?
Rafe: No. Not so much.
Nicole: They must miss you.
Rafe: Yeah. I'm sure they miss you too.
Nicole: Uh, can-- could you just--please?
Rafe: Got it.
Rafe: That's outta here.
Nicole: Thank you.
Rafe: [Chuckles] How long you been feeling this way?
Nicole: Not too long.
Rafe: Maybe something you ate is, uh--
Nicole: Oh, gosh, please don't mention any kind of food 'cause ever since this happened, I just haven't been able to--
Rafe: Oh, so you don't have a bug. It's not something you ate. Nicole? Any chance you're... pregnant? Nicole? Oh, my God! Are--oh! Wow.
Daniel: Wow, that's--that's impressive. That--really, you could be-- remind me not to get on your bad side again.
Billie: [Chuckles] Well, as long as my daughter stays on the other side of the ocean, I think we're good!
Billie: I--I know I owe you one for taking such good care of Bo.
Daniel: No, no, you don't owe me anything. Where did you learn to box like that?
Billie: Oh, my brother. We had it kind of rough growing up, so it came in handy.
Daniel: Yeah, yeah, I'll bet. You know, if you got some footwork going with that uppercut, you'd be, uh, you'd be, like, lethal.
Billie: What's wrong with my footwork?
Daniel: Ain't nothing wrong with your footwork, I'm just saying, you know, you could probably, uh, you could kick it up a notch.
Billie: Oh, really? Would you like to show me?
Daniel: Oh, would you like to take the gloves off?
Billie: Sure. [Laughs]
Daniel: Let's go. Jeez.
Daniel: I got this, here, let me help.
Billie: You know, my brother was a piano player, and he boxed. How can you be a surgeon and box? Don't you worry about your fingers?
Daniel: Actually, I'm not a surgeon anymore.
Daniel: No, no, no. Hand tremors, not real helpful in the O.R., you know?
Billie: Oh, I'm sorry.
Daniel: Don't worry about it. You know, I'm just, uh, actually making peace with the idea that I can still be a doctor and help people, I just can't do it the way I thought I could.
Billie: Oh, believe me, I understand.
Daniel: Here you go. All right, you ready to do this?
Daniel: You ready?
Daniel: All right, all right. Now, you know what they say, "the best offense"--
Billie: "Is a good defense."
Daniel: There you go. All right, step one. All right, now, if you can just, you know, learn how to sidestep, like this.
Billie: Ooh, you're not bad at that.
Daniel: There you go. Come on, there you go. That's it! See, if you can do like that, you will be unbeatable. Okay, you can't be doing that. Like, you're hopping like a bunny here.
Billie: But that's what you were doing.
Daniel: That's not what I was doing, you were h--
Billie: Yes, it was.
Daniel: No, you stand still. Focus with me, all right? [Laughing] You ready? Oh, my God, all right, this is gonna be a lot of work.
Daniel: All right, you ready? Now, if I take a jab at you like that--
Daniel: Whoa, that was good. That's good, you're quick, that's good--now, you got step-- oh!
Daniel: Oh, my--
Billie: [Gasps] Oh!
Daniel: [Coughs] Oh, yeah. Ah.
Billie: Ow. [Sighs]
Sami: I'm sorry that this is happening. I can't believe will is doing this to me. I mean, to himself. Just--I know he knows what a monster EJ is.
Lucas: You know, when I was little, my mom made me work hard for everything I had. She said it would build character. Yeah, I know, didn't work.
Lucas: The point is, we... basically taught Will the same thing, right? But he is 18 years old, and when somebody dangles those kind of perks in front of you? I gotta be honest, Sami, I don't know if I could say no.
Sami: Really? Will is a smart kid.
Lucas: Oh, okay.
Sami: [Laughing] Not to say that you weren't. I'm just saying I can't believe that he doesn't see what this is really all about.
Lucas: Well, it's his first taste of the real world and a real job.
Sami: Working for EJ is not the real world.
Lucas: Yeah, I know. I'm just-- I'm afraid he's not gonna understand what's at stake or the consequences until he's face-to-face with it.
Rafe: Please tell me the baby's not EJ's.
Nicole: Hey, watch it. Of course the baby's EJ's. What kind of woman do you think I am?
Rafe: I'm sorry, I-- no, no, no, I did not mean to imply anything, it's just-- you know, it would be a hell of a lot easier if the baby wasn't EJ's, if he wasn't the father.
Nicole: Don't you think I know that?
Rafe: Oh. Okay. What did he say when you told him?
Nicole: Nothing. Because he doesn't know that I'm pregnant.
Nicole: And he's not... going to find out, Rafe, because what you just heard stays in this room.
Rafe: Oh, yeah. Absolutely. You do realize though that I just figured it out, so chances are, EJ's probably gonna figure it out? I mean, Sami tried to keep a baby from him, we all know how well that turned out.
Nicole: Okay, you know what? You don't have to remind me. I'm not gonna show for a while, so I have time to figure it out.
Rafe: Feeling any better?
Nicole: No, I wish I was, but I just--I haven't been able to keep anything down.
Rafe: I guess I don't have to tell you that's not good. You seeing a doctor?
Nicole: Of course I'm seeing a doctor.
Rafe: Well, I think you should call him or her.
Nicole: No, look, I'm--I'm-- I'm fine, Rafe, okay? God, you--I--
Nicole: I can't just walk into a--a-- a ob-gyn's office, okay? I can't just call a nurse and-- and ask her for help or ask her questions because EJ has eyes and ears everywhere. [Sighs] I've been through this before. And, uh... I know what feels normal and what doesn't feel normal.
Rafe: If you say so.
Nicole: I do. The baby and I are fine, and it's gonna stay that way because EJ is never gonna hear about this.
Lucas: There's nothing useful in here, nothing. Nothing is helpful at all.
Sami: You know what? You're right, you're right. I'm gonna just make a report to Kate this is a wild goose chase, that we're never gonna find the mole.
Lucas: I don't know about that, we just got to be a little smarter about it. You know what we can do? We can switch it up, use this computer, and I'm sure we can find out who in the company has been in contact with Mad World Cosmetics. All you got to do is look up the IP addresses and the proxies, and that'll lead us right back to the--
Sami: Okay, you know what? Maybe I should do that.
Lucas: I got it, I got it. I'm good with computers. Watch this.
Sami: Yeah, I know you are, but I'm better, and anyway, I work for the company. I'm an employee. Proprietary information and whatnot.
Lucas: It doesn't matter. My mom owns the company. I think she can trust me, relax. As long as it doesn't have anything to do with my love life, I'm good.
Sami: Um, come on. No, seriously, you don't work for the company, and I really do, so let me do this.
Lucas: It doesn't matter. You know what, Sami? You're acting like you don't want me to find out who the back stabber is.
Sami: Well, you're right, I don't.
Sami: Because it's me. I'm the mole. ******************************
Lexie: [Sighs] Look, I'm sorry, okay? I--I didn't want to have to tell you that.
Abe: No. [Mumbles] I'm sorry. I just can't believe that my own son--he doesn't want to see me.
Lexie: Marlena says not to force the issue, to give him time. Abe, of course he'll want to see you, he loves you.
Abe: Yeah. Look, would you just tell him that I, um-- [Laughs] I just love him so much.
Lexie: Yeah, I will. I mean, I do. I do, I tell him that every night.
Abe: Well, uh, you know, um... [Sniffs] I talked to Marlena too.
Lexie: Oh. Well, she's been busy, huh?
Abe: [Laughs] I talked to her about us.
Abe: She said we have to keep communicating.
Lexie: [Sighs] Abe, I--
Abe: No just-- let me finish, okay? Uh, she talked about how she and John have lost so much time together, and... when he was paralyzed... she didn't know whether he would ever be well again, and... when he was in jail, she didn't know when he would ever be free again. And now he's in Alemania, she doesn't know when he'll come home.
Lexie: So you're saying I should count my blessings. [Sighs] Abe, I'm trying. I'm trying, I'm just having a really hard time doing that right now.
Abe: And I'm just saying that life is short. You know, the most important thing my mother taught me was to keep the faith.
Nicole: You saw how nuts he acted because he doesn't want me to let go. Can you imagine how he'll act if he finds out a baby's involved? He's not going to because he doesn't think that I can get pregnant. I didn't think that I could get pregnant.
Rafe: Hmm. What did the doctor say?
Nicole: "It's a miracle."
Rafe: Miracle. How do you feel about this miracle? Now that EJ's not in the picture?
Nicole: Crazy. Confused. [Sighs] And incredibly happy.
Rafe: Well, I'm glad for that.
Nicole: There was a time when I--I would have done anything to have a baby with EJ, I mean, I practically did do everything.
Rafe: Yeah, you don't need to remind me.
Nicole: I know I don't. It's ironic, isn't it? Sydney is not in my life or yours. And all I have is this baby. You know, the doctors told me that, uh, I would never be able to carry a baby full-term.
Nicole: So when I, uh, lost my little girl... it was the worst thing that could ever happen to me, and that's saying a lot. You know, Rafe, if anything happens to this baby, I don't know what I will do. [Sobs] I'll die.
Sami: I know you're thinking, okay, but I'm serious, this was all Madison's idea. She was the one who came up with the plan that she'd look like this terrible boss. And then we were gonna stage these fights in front of Kate. And then Kate was gonna come to me and, you know, try to get me to give her Madison's secrets.
Lucas: And did she?
Sami: Yeah, she totally fell for it.
Lucas: So you were giving false info, trying to take down my mother. That's nice, Sami, really nice.
Sami: Oh, come on, she started it. She was trying to take down Madison first.
Lucas: I can't believe you did this!
Sami: That's not the whole story, okay? So there's another half, all right? Anyway, so I had come working here at Countess W, and the whole thing's set up for this plan to pay off, and then Madison got cold feet. She totally chickened out.
Sami: I don't know because of her relationship with Brady or whatever. Anyway, the point is, she totally left me here working for Kate.
Lucas: And you knew my mom would kill you if she found out what you were doing.
Sami: Yes, she totally would. And so that's when I decided to quit Mad World, and now I'm really working for Kate.
Lucas: That's great. Now I have a headache. My head is spinning because of you!
Sami: Oh, come on, Lucas, I'm serious, I really am. I'm--I'm--I'm really gonna work for Kate and make this work at Countess W.
Lucas: Sami, Sami, Sami.
Sami: Don't--don't say it like that, come on. [Sighs exasperatedly] Don't you think? I mean, everything was working great, and isn't there irony in that? Now Kate thinks there's a mole, but there's not? I'm not being a mole anymore, I'm totally being loyal... now.
Lucas: You are driving me nuts! I cannot believe this! I can't believe I didn't see this coming. Of course you're the mole. Of course you are, who else would it be?
Sami: Why are you saying it like that?
Lucas: Because, Sami, it's just so you! ******************************
Billie: Oh, my God, are you okay?
Daniel: Oh, I'm--yeah, I got--oof! I just wasn't expecting, uh, that, really.
Daniel: [Sighs] Wow, you don't hold back, do you?
Billie: Never have.
Daniel: [Sighs] Hmm. Yeah, well, that's right, you worked for the ISA, is that right?
Billie: Yeah, I did.
Daniel: Yeah. What happened, you hurt your hand?
Billie: Uh, no, I'm--
Daniel: What do you mean, "no, no?" You don't have to be a tough girl, look, I'm a doctor, can I-- can I look at it? It's all right.
Daniel: All right.
Daniel: Oh. [Mumbles] Can you--
Billie: Listen, you know what? On second thought, um, I'm fine.
Sami: That's really all you're gonna say? That it's just so me?
Lucas: No, I have a lot more to say to you. When you called me, Sami, and you told me that your life was a mess, I flew here for you. And that first night, we spent the whole first night talking about EJ, right? And then you told me that you felt so bad because you screwed things up with Will and Rafe.
Sami: Yeah, I screwed up my whole life. It's okay, you can say it.
Lucas: But yet--yet you didn't tell me about this, did you? You left this little part out. Don't you think this is something I should know?
Sami: No! Because I knew you were gonna lecture me like you're doing right now!
Lucas: Well, of course I'm gonna lecture you! And you know what? Here's to somebody lecturing you, someday having it sink into that head of yours!
Sami: You know what, okay--
Lucas: But you know, I'm not gonna hold my breath on that.
Sami: I'm tired of the Sami-bashing, all right? We have to start problem-solving here.
Lucas: Well, I'm not done with the Sami-bashing. Because the Sami I know doesn't know right from wrong. She doesn't know any of that. It's all about her--her ongoing rationalization of whatever's happening to her at the moment.
Sami: Wait a second, you were exactly the same way.
Lucas: I was, Sami, that's the key word, I was. I'm not like that anymore. I grew up.
Sami: Oh, really? You--you grew up?
Sami: What happened to Chloe Lane, huh? Your--your bimbo ex-wife? She was so loyal and smart and supportive. And you have another bimbo, April?
Lucas: April is not a-- I mean, Autumn! Autumn is not a bimbo. Get it through your head, all right?
Sami: Oh, I'm sure she's terrific.
Lucas: She is terrific. She is, and she cares about me. She understands why I'm here, she's very supportive, and, you know, she can't wait to meet my family.
Lucas: Yeah, she is great. I told her all about Will. I told her what a great kid he was, how mature he is for his age, how when he was little he was like this little old man, all wrapped up into one. But you know what? Now--now I can't even recognize the kid.
Sami: What is that supposed to mean? Why, because he spends so much time with me?
Lucas: Well, I don't know, if the shoe fits, you got to wear it. I mean, if he could rationalize that working for EJ is a good thing--
Sami: Wait, no, no, no. Even I couldn't rationalize working for EJ. And you know what? We can't keep talking about this, we have to focus on what's really important right now.
Lucas: Oh, yeah, what's that?
Sami: Making sure that Kate doesn't find out that I'm the mole.
Lucas: Ah, of course.
Rafe: You've got to take care of yourself. Rest, avoid stress.
Nicole: Yeah, right, avoid stress.
Rafe: Yeah. So what are you thinking anyway? You're just gonna leave town?
Nicole: I don't know. I don't--I don't have any friends, I don't have any family. [Laughs] Poor Nicole. You know what? I'm never gonna be alone. Ever. I'm gonna get a really great divorce settlement.
Rafe: Oh, great. [Scoffs] And how do you think you're gonna travel if you're feeling this lousy?
Nicole: No, I, um, I figure I have some time before I start showing.
Rafe: Yeah, maybe forever, if you don't eat, if you don't stay hydrated.
Nicole: Are you a doctor? Have you ever had a baby? No, I don't think so.
Rafe: No, you're right, I'm not a doctor. And neither are you, but you need one. Who'd you see before?
Nicole: Daniel. He helped me the night I found out I was pregnant.
Rafe: Do you trust him?
Rafe: You should call him.
Nicole: No, I can't-- I can't keep calling Daniel every time I feel morning sickness.
Rafe: Nicole. Nicole-- well, it looks like you got morning, noon, and night sickness to me.
Daniel: What? What is wrong?
Billie: You know what? I--I know your M.O. You feel somebody's glands, and then you take their liver out, and--and then, what? You--you put their heart back in their chest, and oh! All of a sudden, Dr. Dan's in love.
Daniel: Excuse me? You actually think I would purposely-- no, no, no, I am just trying to check to see if you broke anything.
Billie: No, you know what? I don't want you to check anything. I--I will break you. Look, it--you know what? You've been with my mother. You've been with my daughter. What, are you trying to keep it all in the family? What are you doing?
Daniel: Hold on--whoa, hold on, whoa, whoa, whoa. You actually think that-- no, no, please. Pl--no, you have the completely wrong idea here.
Billie: Oh, really?
Daniel: Yeah, oh, really.
Daniel: No, no, look, you're a h--you're an attractive woman, okay, you are. But if you really think I'm interested in you, you are out of your mind.
Billie: Oh, well, thank you for making your no interest in me so clear.
Daniel: Hey, listen, I just got out of a relationship, all right?
Billie: Yeah, I know.
Daniel: I'm trying to get over--
Billie: Oh, I know, you got out of a relationship with Jennifer, I know. She's an old friend of mine, and so is Jack. Look, I'm sorry. I now that you had a very special relationship with Jennifer, and I'm sorry to belittle it.
Daniel: No, it's all right.
Billie: I'm sorry, I didn't mean to jump down your throat. I--[Sighs]
Daniel: Stop, okay? It's okay. Really, it's okay. I'm just trying to put this year behind me.
Billie: Yeah, tell me about it.
Lexie: I don't--I don't know if there's hope for us.
Abe: Sweetheart, sweetheart.
Abe: For Theo's sake.
Lexie: Don't--don't push me, okay?
Abe: What--what-- what can I say to make this better?
Lexie: Nothing. No matter what you say, I'll still have my doubts.
Abe: What doubts?
Lexie: About whether or not I can--I can trust you, Abe.
Abe: Lexie, I am not going to give up. I'm gonna do everything I can to put those doubts to rest and win back your trust. You know, think of everything that John and Marlena have been through. Doesn't that give you hope?
Lexie: Well... it's-- there's one...big difference between John and Marlena and you and me, Abe. John was innocent. He didn't lie to Marlena. I-- I need to get back to the hospital. [Sniffs] I-- you, uh, you take care.
Daniel: Been A... bad year, huh?
Billie: [Sighs] You know how it goes.
Billie: I like this place. I think I'm gonna spring for a membership.
Daniel: Yeah, all right. So you're sticking around Salem for a while?
Billie: For a while.
Billie: I guess our, uh, boxing lesson was a bust, huh? [Laughs]
Daniel: Yeah, yeah, we can do it some other time in a totally platonic, workout buddy--
Billie: Like, "not interested in me" sort of way.
Daniel: Exactly. There you go. Well, I'm glad we got that cleared up. [Laughs]
Daniel: Yeah. You sure you don't want me to take a look at your hand there?
Billie: Ah, fine, I'm tough.
Daniel: Yeah, well, clearly you are, so--
Billie: Sorry about that.
Daniel: [Laughing] No worries, no worries. I'm a doctor, I think I'll heal. Uh, anyway, so I guess I'll see you soon.
Billie: Yeah. See you soon.
Daniel: All right.
Lucas: You know how my mother is. Especially when she feels betrayed, she's like a dog with a raw piece of meat.
Sami: What are you saying?
Lucas: I'm telling you that she's determined to find out who the mole is, so it really doesn't matter if I keep your little secret or not. Don't you see, Sami? Eventually it's going to come out. The truth always does.
Rafe: Nicole, you okay? I think I should call Daniel. Nicole? Hey.
Nicole: [Sighs] I feel like I have the worst flu ever. I should start painting my nails green to match my skin tone.
Rafe: Well, at least you haven't lost your sense of humor yet.
Nicole: No. No, just everything else.
Rafe: Yeah. All right.
Rafe: Uh, let me help you back into bed here, okay? Nicole! Nicole? [Gasps] Hey.
