EJ: What a Victory parade dinner...
EJ: [Chuckles] Than a press conference. They didn't ask me a single tough question. Not one. And by the way, those people you hired to throw the confetti--
Nicole: Like that?
EJ: Yeah, like that. They did an amazing job.
Nicole: Come on, I didn't hire anyone. I didn't.
EJ: Really? Some of those people were actually happy that I'm the mayor of Salem?
Nicole: Hey, you're still winning.
Nicole: No, but seriously, seriously... I mean, after Abe's unfortunate ballot-stuffing scandal, I think that the press and the people are ready to embrace you and your new leadership. I mean, they elected you after all, right?
EJ: They did.
EJ: Some big plans for this town.
EJ: Can't wait to get started.
Nicole: What is first on the agenda, Mr. Mayor? Are you gonna cut taxes or exiling the Brady’s?
EJ: You know, I thought that I would start with more domestic issues. Come on.
Nicole: Ooh. Well, Mr. Mayor, your approval ratings just skyrocketed. What's the occasion? I mean, besides the obvious?
EJ: Oh, really? You don't remember.
Nicole: Oh, my goodness.
Nicole: A year ago today... we got remarried. Oh, my God.
EJ: It's our anniversary.
Rafe: Well, sorry. I wish I had better news, but there's nothing my contacts at the FBI can do to get Bo or Marlena into Alemainia.
John: Well, thanks for trying, Rafe. I'm not surprised you didn't get very far. My ISA contact said the same thing.
Hope: So John and I have to go alone to get our divorce?
Bo: No, no, you're not going anywhere without me.
Rafe: Well, I don't see what other choice you have. You have to be there in person to be granted the divorce, and for whatever reason, the Alamainian government refuses to issue Visa’s for either you or Marlena.
John: Well, I think we all know the reason why. Stefano DiMera is behind this. No doubt about it.
Marlena: Honey, I know that what...happened between John and me... what you saw... it took a terrible toll on you, just keeping that secret. And you're right, we were selfish.
Will: No, Grandma, listen to me. She can't keep blaming you for everything that she's done wrong in her life. Especially not after you just did the same thing.
Sami: I never meant to hurt you, Will.
Will: Oh, well, take that to the town square and see if it buys me a cup of coffee.
Marlena: Now stop it. Please, stop it! Look, it breaks my heart to see that the things I've done in my past are still hurting the people I love the most in the world. Sami, if you want to mend the rift between you and Will, and-- and you want to put your marriage back together, you have to tell Rafe what happened-- that you slept with EJ. Otherwise-- otherwise...it will destroy you.
Nicole: I still cannot believe I forgot our one-year wedding anniversary.
EJ: It's okay. It was a tough year. We spent most of it either fighting or apart.
Nicole: And don't forget working hard on your Victorious election campaign. And yes, I know, I still forgot.
EJ: It's okay. We have a double celebration. I can't tell you how much I appreciate all of your hard work. I really-- I could not have done this without you. I'm still not entirely sure how you managed to get that win right at the last minute.
Nicole: [Chuckles] Well, I can't give up all my trade secrets now, can I?
EJ: Oh, a woman of mystery, eh?
Nicole: Yes, that's me.
EJ: To you.
Will: Hey, Grandma, um, I gotta go. Sonny's gonna give me some class notes that I missed.
Marlena: Oh, that's important. You better go.
Will: [Whispers] Okay. Hey, don't let Mom hurt you.
Marlena: [Scoffs] Stop.
Will: I'm serious.
Will: I'm serious!
Marlena: I'm fine. Get out of here.
Will: It's not your problem. It's hers, okay?
Sami: Well, now that makes sense.
Marlena: What makes sense?
Sami: Your relationship-- how cozy you are with Will, and the word games, and the emails, and the long-distance phone calls.
Marlena: Will and I have always been close.
Sami: And you used that, didn't you?
Marlena: What does that mean?
Sami: When Will came and told you what I had done, you knew you had your chance... to make sure that he hated me, that he would never forgive me for what I had done.
Marlena: Why would I want to turn Will against you?
Sami: So that you can be a mother to him... like you never were to me.
Hope: Well, here we go again.
Bo: You know, I feel like one of Stefano's damn chess pieces.
Hope: If only we knew the secret that Gran had on him, then maybe we could use it against him.
John: And neutralize him.
Bo: Yeah, I've been thinking about breaking into the mansion and hunting that envelope down.
John: I'm sure he's got that under lock and key with guard dog.
Hope: I wonder if he's even looked at it yet.
Bo: If he has, I hope it's causing him as much hell as he's causing us.
Nicole: You know, I'm surprised Stefano wasn't front and center at the press conference today, hmm? Why wasn't your proud father basking in his son's Victory?
EJ: Oh... he left Kate a note saying he had to go out of town suddenly, but I really don't want to talk about my wayward father. I'd much rather talk about us and our future.
Nicole: And now that the campaign's over, I guess I'm gonna have to find another job.
EJ: You know, I thought you liked being the first lady of Salem. Sort of a hybrid of lady Diana and Jackie Onassis.
Nicole: Oh, goodness. No pressure there. No, but seriously, what little girl doesn't dream of being a princess or a billionaire? Can you make me one of those?
Nicole: Well, I never really actually dreamed of that.
EJ: No, you were always more of a powerbroker, right?
Nicole: Mm, and a mommy.
EJ: Swept off her feet by a white knight?
Nicole: Well... dreams change. And you know, I finally found something in my work that is so fulfilling. I can't believe I found something that I'm good at. Well, you found it for me anyway, and I just-- I don't think I'm ready to give it up yet.
EJ: Glad to hear it.
EJ: Well, you see, a mayor needs a publicist a lot more than a mayoral candidate. Now just think about how much I'm going to need you if I run for state office or if I skip that and jump onto the national stage.
Nicole: Ooh, wow. I love it when you aim high.
EJ: You like that?
Nicole: Mm-hmm. [Chuckles]
EJ: You don't need to make a decision now, but promise me you'll give it some thought. Okay?
Nicole: Of course.
EJ: Okay. In the meantime, I will see if I can think of anything to do that might sweeten the deal.
Will: Oh, my gosh, I can't believe I'm so behind in my classes.
Sonny: Well, that's what happens when you're a slacker student by day and a hotshot political operative by night. Look, man, don't worry about the classwork. I'm gonna help you with it.
Will: No, it's not the classwork, it's just--I'M... just going through some family stuff right now.
Sonny: Why, what's going on?
Will: It's not something that I can talk about with you.
Sonny: Why not?
Will: Because it's something I have to keep to myself. Otherwise it'll hurt my family.
Sonny: But you really do want to talk about it.
Will: Yeah, I wish. I mean, I'm tired of keeping it to myself. You know, holding it inside.
Sonny: [Sighs] I know what it's like. Just weighing on you all the time, dragging you down. But you don't have to do that anymore. All right, just tell me what's going on. You can trust me.
Marlena: How can you even say that I would ever try to take Will away from you or pit him against you?
Sami: Because you wanted Will all to yourself. And I made it easy for you to poison him against me.
Marlena: Oh, man, no matter what I do, it's easy for you to think the worst of me, isn't it? Sami, here's the truth. I hope you can hear it. All I really, really want is for you to be happy. So let me ask you one last time, do you want to save your marriage?
Sami: Of course I want to save my marriage!
Marlena: Then you've gotta tell Rafe the truth about what happened.
Sami: You know what, just get out. And stay the hell out of my life.
Marlena: This isn't about me, Sami. I'm hoping you can put your anger for me aside long enough to listen to what I'm telling you because I know how this works. This kind of secret can destroy even the strongest of relationships.
Will: Sonny, you know that I do trust you. Yeah? Okay, but this is not something that I can tell anybody. Because if I do, it'll des-- I mean, like, it'll-- basically, it'll tear my family apart.
Sonny: Maybe you're wrong. Maybe it'll bring your family closer together. You know, that's what happened when I told my family I was gay. You know, I didn't have to hide anything from them anymore. It's the best thing I ever did. Well, besides meeting Madonna in Dubai, but that's another story.
Will: Yeah, that's not gonna happen here, Sonny.
Sonny: Come on, you don't know that. When I came out to my Uncle Vic, I thought he was gonna disown me. But our relationship has actually gotten much better because I gave him a chance to know the real me and accept me for who I am, all right? And I'm sure that your family will be just as supportive.
Will: Hey. I'm sorry, but you have the completely wrong idea.
Sonny: I do?
Will: Yeah. Sonny, the secret's not about me. It's about my mom.
EJ: You know it's gonna take more than a title to convince the people of this town that we've changed.
Nicole: Give them time.
EJ: Oh, I will. I will. I'm going to use every trick known to man. And a few tricks that are known only to women.
EJ: I'll convince these people that we're A... legitimate-ish--
Nicole: Oh, my God, you never-- you never change.
EJ: Does that worry you?
Nicole: No-- come on, EJ, you know me better than that. I love you just the way you are.
EJ: You're a gift. You know that?
Nicole: A gift that is waiting impatiently to be unwrapped. Uh-huh. You hear what I'm saying?
EJ: I like what you're saying.
Marlena: So what does Stefano hope to accomplish by keeping us apart?
Bo: I'm sure he thinks he can create doubt and suspicion by having them travel alone together.
Marlena: No, he knows better than that. He knows I trust you.
Bo: Yeah, and I trust my wife.
Hope: And you should.
Hope: You're right about that. There's gotta be something more. Stefano must have a bigger plan.
Marlena: What could that be?
John: I'm not sure... but I have a bad feeling that once Hope and I get to Alemainia, we're gonna be walking straight into a trap.
Marlena: [Voice echoing] You have to tell Rafe the truth, that you slept with EJ. Otherwise, that secret will destroy you.
Sonny: So this thing with your mom's been...really bugging you, huh?
Will: Yep, it has. It's just proven to me, once and for all, that she only cares about herself. She's not a good mother to me. You know, she's selfish. She's a bitch.
Sonny: Hey, that's pretty harsh, man. That's your mother.
Will: Sonny, I'm sorry, man, but you have no idea. I mean, I've forgiven her for so much stuff, but for some reason, I can't forgive her for this.
Sonny: What are you gonna do? You can't turn your back on your mom. You know, whatever she did can't be that bad.
Will: Yeah? What if I told you that she betrayed our entire family?
Sonny: How did she do that?
Will: Okay, Sonny, you promise not to tell anybody?
Sonny: Dude, I promise.
Will: You cannot tell anybody.
Sonny: I won't tell anybody.
Will: Okay, um... you remember when Johnny was missing?
Sonny: Yeah, the whole town was looking for him.
Will: Yeah. And Rafe found him here actually. And anyway, the whole time that was going down, we couldn't find my mom anywhere. I mean anywhere. I was looking for her to tell her the good news, and I ended up at the DiMera mansion.
Sonny: And then what? What happened? What happened?
Will: Well, I, um-- I caught my Mom, uh... cheating on Rafe. She was having sex with EJ DiMera. so who ordered the cereal that can help lower cholesterol
Bo: Stefano's plan is to get you guys to leave the country without us, but that can't happen. Marlena, we've gotta find a way to go with them.
Hope: John and I have to get this divorce.
Hope: Because until then, we'll all be living in limbo.
John: She's right. We really don't have any other choice here.
Marlena: You said that you might be walking into a trap. I'm not so concerned about us here, but I'm concerned about you. This could be dangerous.
John: Oh, come on, Doc, we'll be on guard. Hope's a cop. I used to be one. It's not like we don't know what we're doing.
Bo: Okay, okay, you can take care of yourself. But you're walking into a country that has underground bunkers. They have earthquakes, coups of state.
Marlena: There must be some reason Stefano wanted you to get married in Alemania.
Bo: Yeah. And he's got this way of surprising us even when we see it coming.
Hope: Bo, just-- I know you're worried. But we've been racking our brains trying to come up with another plan, and you know what we got? We got nothing. We've all been up against Stefano before, and in the end, we've always won. Haven't we?
John: There is a flight leaving in one hour that connects through to Alemania. I think we should book it.
Marlena: What? You're leaving tonight?
John: I think the sooner we get this over with the better, Doc.
Nicole: Hmm, you know what? We should be in some marital record book.
EJ: For what we just did?
Nicole: Mm, definitely. But I keep thinking there can't be another couple out there that has survived what we have... and made it to their first year.
EJ: Yeah. And yet you forgot about it.
Nicole: Oh, stop it. I'm sorry. But I did come up with a really cool idea for a present.
EJ: I thought I already had my present.
Nicole: I know, but this is a really good present.
Nicole: No, seriously. In honor of our anniversary, I'm going to go upstairs, and I am going to rip up those divorce papers that I made you sign months ago.
EJ: Listen, I-- I have something I'd like to give you first. Okay? So wait here.
Nicole: Okay. You first. All right.
Sonny: Dude, I'm really sorry you had to carry that around about your mom for so long.
Will: No, I'm sorry. I haven't been fun at all to be around, I know.
Sonny: No...a little.
Sonny: No, I'm kidding, I'm kidding. You know what, let's get out of here. Let's just pack it up and get out of here. Do something fun.
Will: Oh, I don't know. Okay, what do you want to do?
Will: [Laughs] You--
Sonny: No, there's a club at the town square, just opened. Some of my friends are going. We can meet them there. What do you say?
Will: Uh, yeah, okay, okay.
Sonny: Yeah, yeah?
Will: Actually, that's great because I want to forget about my mom and just-- just party, as you say. Drink, no, just kidding.
Sonny: All right. Let's get out of here.
Sonny: Come on.
Sami: Hey, Grandma, I was just wondering if it's okay with you and Aunt Kayla if you watch the kids for a little bit longer. I--I need to straighten up before they come home. Great.
[Banging on door]
Sami: Thanks. Um, someone's at the door. No, thank you. I love you. Hey.
Rafe: How could you do it? How could you sleep with EJ?
Sami: What are you talking about?
Rafe: Don't lie to me. I know you slept with him.
Sami: Who told you?
Rafe: Doesn't matter!
Sami: Oh, God, you have to know that I never meant to hurt you. I never meant for it to happen.
Rafe: Oh, God, why? Why, of all people, him? After everything that he has done to us, done to you? Oh, my God, how could you let him touch you? Are you still in love with him?
Sami: No. No, I don't love him! I'm completely disgusted by him.
Rafe: Then why?
Sami: I thought Johnny was dead. I was just so upset. I don't know, I had to escape it. I had to get out, away from that moment.
Rafe: So that made you feel better? With him?
Sami: No, no! It was the worst mistake of my entire life.
Rafe: Why didn't you come to me? Why didn't you come to your husband?
Sami: I--I wasn't thinking straight. I wasn't thinking at all. You have to know that. You have to know I never meant for it to happen!
Rafe: You know what, I think you were thinking. You were because you blamed me for Johnny's disappearance. And you felt like I forced you to go to the pub to see John and put Johnny in harm's way. So you did this-- you did this to pay me back, didn't you?
Sami: No. Rafe, I did not do that! Oh, my God, it had nothing to do with that. I was fighting with EJ, and he was yelling at me, and he was telling me what a terrible mother I am. And he's right. I am a terrible mother, and I ended up doing the most self-destructive thing I could do.
Rafe: Yeah, well, the problem is you didn't just destroy yourself... you destroyed us. You destroyed this entire family.
Sonny: Oh, here he comes.
Neil: Here you guys go.
Sonny: Thank you.
Will: Where's mine?
Sonny: You don't get one, young man.
Neil: Look over there. There is my future ex-boyfriend.
Sonny: Let me guess, that's the same guy from last weekend.
Neil: The one and only.
Sonny: Then why are you still sitting here?
Neil: Because he's all talk and no action, that's why.
Sonny: That is not true.
Will: Cheers to that.
Sonny: I'm not cheering to that.
Will: Yeah, you are.
Sonny: You know it's true.
Will: Oh, nice. All right, all right.
Neil: Hey, I'm Neil.
Will: Uh, I'm Will.
Neil: Will, it's my turn to play beer pong. Want to be my partner?
Sonny: Guess he might not be my ex-boyfriend after all.
Will: Uh...yeah. Yeah, sure.
Neil: All right.
Sonny: Wait, Will, Will. You think that's a good idea? You're not even 21.
Will: Really? Who are you?
Sonny: I'm just saying you're not--you're not 21.
Will: I mean, I'm here to have fun.
Sonny: All right, here we go.
Neil: Go, Will.
Marlena: I don't want you to go. I'm afraid something might happen to you.
John: Doc, nothing to worry about. Hope and I are gonna go to Alemania, get the quickest divorce possible, and before the ink's dry, we'll be on the first flight back to Salem.
Marlena: I really hope so.
John: And then you and I are gonna celebrate by planning the most romantic wedding we have ever had. And we've had quite a few, so that's really saying something, isn't it? [Laughter] There's the smile I've been missing.
Marlena: I want you to promise me you're coming home safely. And I want you to promise me you'll call me three times a day.
John: Four times.
Rafe: It's no wonder you wanted to renew our vows. You wanted a do-over! And even after all that... you still kept lying to me. Those new vows--they meant nothing to you, just like everything else.
Sami: That's not true.
Sami: I wanted to tell you the truth. I thought about it all the time. I just-- I just didn't want you to look at me the way that you're looking at me right now.
Rafe: I can't stand the sight of you right now.
Hope: So difficult saying good-bye to Ciara again. But hey, at least this time, I'll know you'll be waiting for me with our little girl.
Bo: I am not at all comfortable with you going away without me. I know Alemania better than the two of you.
Hope: At least you remember being there.
Bo: Yes. No good memories whatsoever. Mrs. H. almost died there.
Hope: Hey, it's gonna be okay. Bo, please don't worry. I'm gonna be careful.
Bo: Oh, that makes me feel so much better. Two weeks, Hope? It's gonna be rough.
Hope: Then you remember this. Distance can never truly separate us... 'cause I always have you right here. I have absolute faith. No matter how far apart we are, we always, always find our way back to each other. I love you.
Rafe: Well, you sure played me for a fool. You know, all this time I've been beating myself up over this strange distance between us. I thought maybe I was failing you as a husband and that I'd done something wrong. And I kept begging you to talk to me and open up to me and be honest with me. And every time, you just-- you just lied right to my face. You know the scariest part about the whole thing? You're so good at it. All those years of practice, I guess.
Sami: Believe me, I hated-- I hated lying to you.
Rafe: Yeah. I'll never believe another word you say. All I did was love you. That's it. You betrayed me.
Sami: Hold on a second. Because I'm not the only one.
Nicole: [Chuckles] Okay, that one. Oh, I am beginning to think I have more jewelry than Princess Diana. What are you doing?
EJ: What does it look like I'm doing?
Nicole: Uh, we're already married.
EJ: Technically-- technically, we are already married. It's been quite a year. We may have found our way back to one another, but we haven't officially recommitted to our marriage. I mean, we're not wearing rings. So I thought--
Nicole: [Gasps] Oh, my God, EJ, it's-- it's beautiful.
EJ: I want us to start over. I thought a new ring could be a fresh start. Not exactly what one thinks of when they imagine a white knight sweeping you off your feet, but--
EJ: If you would allow me, I'd love to try.
Will: Oh! Well, okay.
Neil: That's all right. You won in spirit. You won in spirit. Good job.
Will: I'll be right back.
Will: [Coughs] What's up?
Sonny: How you doing, buddy? Look at you.
Will: Oh, my gosh. You are now in the company of the winner of, like-- like six games of beer pong.
Sonny: You should, uh, like, just, you know, take a break for a minute.
Will: Should I wash my face?
Sonny: Yeah, yeah.
Sonny: That's a good idea.
Will: I'm gonna go wash my face then.
Sonny: All right, Will.
Will: All right.
Sonny: There you go.
Will: Whoa! Whoa there, Cowboy.
Sonny: You good?
Will: If I'm not back in ten, call my grandma.
Neil: Will, you okay?
Will: Um, yeah. Uh, just high off our, you know, Victory.
Neil: Do you need anything? Maybe some-- maybe some water?
Will: No. No, uh-uh. I don't need water. I should go get them to give me some--
Sami: You're no saint here. I caught you kissing my sister. I know there's something going on between the two of you.
Rafe: Are you serious right now? You've gotta be kidding me. You're gonna compare what I did to what you did? You had sex with a man who continuously tried to destroy our lives! Then, on top of it all, you kicked me out of here.
Sami: I think we've both made mistakes here.
Sami: But I think that if we try, we can work through this.
Rafe: Well, maybe. Maybe if you'd have come to me in the beginning. But you didn't. And you lied to me day after day after day, and you turned our marriage into a joke. It's unforgivable.
Sami: I know you're upset right now... but you can't say things you don't mean. Look, you don't mean that you're just gonna break up our family.
Rafe: Me? Don't you dare put this on me. See this? Hmm? Do you? This nice, beautiful, happy family? You destroyed it.
Sami: Rafe, I'm so sorry.
Rafe: [Scoffs] I gotta get out of here.
Sami: I love you.
Rafe: You love me? No. You're not capable of real love. I know that now.
Bo: You sure you don't want us to take you to the airport?
John: No, let's not make a big deal out of this. We're just gonna go on a short trip, tie up some loose ends. That's all.
Bo: Yeah, right. I love you, Fancy Face.
Hope: I love you too.
John: Gonna miss you like crazy, girl.
Marlena: I'm gonna miss you too. Please come home, be safe. Don't meet anybody. Just kidding.
John: See you in a couple weeks.
John: See you in a couple weeks.
Hope: I'm newly single. And...ready and eager to marry the man I love.
Hope: Don't you forget.
Bo: Wedding plans. Yeah. Oh, and don't you forget this.
John: Come on, let's go.
Hope: Oh, Bo usually carries it. Love you.
John: Love you.
Hope: Bye. This isn't going to be easy.
John: No. I don't think it is.
[Cell phone vibrating]
Nicole: Yes, EJ. Yes, I will be your wife, fully and completely... with all my heart.
EJ: We're gonna get it right this time. Promise.
Nicole: I love you.
EJ: I love you.
[Pounding on door]
EJ: Who can that--
