Marlena: Did you see my budget?

John: Yeah. I'm looking it over now.

Marlena: And?

John: I don't see what's wrong with the one that I made.

Marlena: Well, your budget had no groceries on it. And your wardrobe allotment, I don't know, was a little out of range.

John: Baby, stop right there. I am the face of Basic Black. When I walk into a room, people need-- whoa!

Marlena: And my budget has us wearing our old wardrobe.

John: Well, now, honey, if this is what all your old clothes look like, we can stick to any budget you like.

Marlena: Mmm.

John: Mmm.

Marlena: Stick to this.

EJ: See, look what a great time she's having. You happy you brought her now?

Will: You think this is fun? Just wait until my mom finds out she's here.

EJ: Okay, wait. There we go. Abraham... what are you doing out here?

Sami: I know. Rafe is gonna be so excited that I made it back in time for Sydney's party. I can't believe it either. I'm sorry, I've gotta go.

Hope: Your mind games aren't gonna work on me, Stefano. Not this time. We're gonna open that safety deposit box, and we're gonna open it now.

Stefano: You open that box, and it's gonna ruin your family. But it is your choice. You want to open it? Let's open it.

Bo: Did you not hear what she said? It's time.

Stefano: Fine. Fine. All right, but let me remind you of something, huh? Your grandmother went through an awful lot of trouble to make sure that this remained a secret.

Hope: If Gran really wanted those secrets left in the dark, she would have gotten rid of this key.

Stefano: Didn't she? Tell me, where did you find the key?

Nicole: Start here, and get in there don't be afraid. Don't be afraid.

Lexie: Rip it up. Rip it.

Nicole: This is your birthday! You gotta get in there and get that present open. [Laughter] It's huge! [Gasps] Oh...

Lexie: Sydney...

Nicole: Oh, my goodness, is this a princess dress or what? Oh, isn't this beautiful? Wait till your daddy sees you in this. Speaking of which, where is your daddy?

EJ: Are you hiding something from me?

Abe: [Nervous laugh] Well, uh... you caught me red-handed. And here I was thinking I was going to get away with it.

Carrie: I'd say we almost have it down.

Rafe: Yes. Yeah, uh, I'd say we do.

Carrie: Is it hot in here, or is it just me?

Rafe: Uh, no, no. It's, uh... it's a little warm.

Carrie: Rafe--

Rafe: Carrie...

Austin: Hey. Hi.

Marlena: Oh... oh, I'm sensing that you like it.

John: Like it?

Marlena: Uh-huh.

John: You think I'm crazy? I like it even more now than when you wore it a couple years ago on Valentine's Day.

Marlena: I didn't think you'd remember that.

John: I am a man. Men do not forget nights like that.

Marlena: Well, then, living on a budget isn't so bad... if we start re-living those kind of memories, huh?

John: Hmm. Why don't we take those memories back to the bedroom for a little reinforcement and make ourselves an afternoon that we'd never forget.

Marlena: Oh...

Hope: You know where we found the-- that doesn't matter.

Stefano: If your lovely grandmother wanted you to know about the secret, why did she not let you have the key when she was still alive?

Hope: Don't pretend you know anything about my grandmother, because you don't.

Stefano: Heh. Looks to me as if I know more about her than you do.

Hope: Son of a --

Bo: Hope, stop. Don't let him get to you. He's just spinning in circles, trying to confuse the matter. But it's not gonna work. We're not gonna play your games.

Stefano: Oh? Don't you see? You already are.

Rafe: We were just dancing. Aw, come--

Sami: Why?

Rafe: Because the prince and princess canceled on us for Sydney's party.

Carrie: You were in Chicago. There was no one left to fill in but us. And we had to put on these awful costumes. I mean, I'm itching everywhere.

Rafe: Sami, come on. You know why we did this. For Sydney.

Carrie: It sure wasn't for fun.

Rafe: Yeah.

Sami: Well, you're right. Sydney would have been very disappointed.

Austin: You're right, Sami, she would. So I totally get why you guys are dressed like this. I am having trouble understanding one thing, though. What in the hell was going on when we just walked in here?

Nicole: Okay, let's see. Let's give her another one. Let's open another gift.

Will: Oh, that one's from me. That one's from me.

Nicole: Oh, well, then we must see what it is.

Nicole: Go, go, go!

EJ: You were trying to hide something from me.

Abe: [Chuckles] I, uh... I was. I forgot to sign Sydney's birthday card. So I came out here. I was looking for a pen before anyone would notice and... you busted me.

EJ: Well, here. You should take mine. Always brought me good luck, this pen. Something tells me, with the debates coming up, you'll be needing all the luck you can get.

Abe: Well, that's very generous of you, but I think you misunderstood. I was looking for a pen, not luck. I'll do fine on my own.

EJ: Awfully confident, aren't we? Well, we'll see how confident you are after the debates. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go and make some popcorn.

Lexie: Oh, there you are. Where were you?

Abe: Uh, well, sorry, I had to take care of some business.

Lexie: Oh. Did everything go all right?

Abe: Uh, yeah. It's a little bit too soon to say, but I think everything's going to work out.

Carrie: Austin, it was just a dance.

Austin: Okay. All right. Why were you dancing?

Rafe: What? Well, obviously, you haven't seen the show.

Carrie: Yeah, the prince and the princess end each episode with a ballroom dance. And, of course, that's what Sydney would have wanted us to do.

Sami: Of course.

Carrie: And you know that I don't know how to waltz.

Austin: Yeah. Okay. I get it. You were just practicing, right?

Carrie: Yes.

Austin: Well, maybe it's time that we take those ballroom lessons we were talking about ages ago.

Carrie: In our spare two seconds, right.

Austin: Yeah.

Carrie: Here, Sami, please take this. I mean, I only volunteered because I honestly-- we didn't know when you'd be back, and I make a terrible princess. I'm a lawyer, and lawyers make terrible royalty. Please, take it.

Rafe: Yeah, she's a lawyer. Sami, what do you say-- will you be my pretty, pretty princess? Huh? Hmm?

Sami: You know what, you're already in costume, Carrie's already in costume. I don't have time to play dress up. You guys do that. You look great. And there's so much more we have to get done, isn't there, Austin? There are so many more decorations. Would you help me?

Austin: Sure.

Sami: Okay, everybody's set to come, right? Johnny and Allie are at that soccer game. They'll be here right after. And Sydney is with grandma.

Rafe: No, Sydney's with Will.

Sami: With Will? Okay, where is he?

Will: Okay, last one, huh?

Nicole: Oh, boy.

Will: Make it last.

Nicole: Let's see what it is. And go! Ooh. Wow. That's neat!

Will: What's up?

EJ: We should probably start to wrap things up. You know, get Sydney back before your mother returns.

Will: Why? What's the rush? She's not due back for a couple of hours.

EJ: You sure?

Will: Would I lie to you?

EJ: Considering our arrangement, it certainly wouldn't be a very good idea.

Will: Trust me... I got it under control.

Abe: EJ caught me.

Jennifer: What?

Abe: Don't worry, I was able to stash the envelope in my jacket before he saw anything. I just don't want to think about what would happen if he-- if he saw me.

Jennifer: All right, well, it's over. I mean, you made the switch. It's done.

Abe: Yeah, yeah. I just hate lying to Lexie about all this.

Jennifer: Listen, you are doing what you need to do to make sure that EJ doesn't win this election. Listen, you're almost there, Abe.

Abe: I hope you're right.

EJ: So have the debate questions arrived?

Nicole: They have, and they are in a very safe place.

EJ: Really?

Nicole: Mm-hmm. [Chuckles]

EJ: Good.

Sydney: Daddy!

EJ: Hey! Unh! Good to see you.

Nicole: Are you having a good time?

Sydney: Yeah.

EJ: Mm-hmm. This is turning out to be a wonderful day.

Hope: So you admit it. It's all just a big game to you.

Stefano: The game of life.

Hope: This isn't a joke!

Bo: Hope, Hope, Hope. Don't let him get to you. That's exactly what he wants.

Stefano: What I want is to go home. Mary's hamster is more entertaining than you two. At least the hamster's going around and around and--

Bo: You're the one giving us the runaround. You offer us a choice when we've already made one?

Stefano: Yes, I think you've made the wrong choice. Because if you open that box, you destroy your family. You want to destroy your family? That's fine with me.

Hope: Oh, my God, here we go again the drama, the threats, the blah blah blah blah blah... you know what I think?

Stefano: Huh?

Hope: I think you're bluffing.

Stefano: Hmm.

Hope: Because you know whatever's inside that box could put you away for life. Your heart's pounding. I can hear it. You're scared.

Stefano: Am I? Well, if I remember correctly, it was you two who tricked me in coming here, right? Now, I could have walked away. But instead, I let you make the decision.

Hope: You know what, very good point.

Stefano: Well...

Hope: Why didn't you walk away? Were you afraid we'd get a warrant, and then you wouldn't have any control over what we find out? You're helping us because you're scared. And this time, you're gonna lose.

Stefano: [Chuckles] You know, I don't know how many times I've heard you say that, Hope, all right? And every time, you have been wrong.

John: [Laughs]

Marlena: What are you finding so funny?

John: I hope you don't mind. I went off-script there a little bit.

Marlena: [Laughs] You know, as long as I've been married to you, as long as I've known you, you've always managed to surprise me.

John: Yes. And it's a good thing, right?

Marlena: Oh, baby, that's a great thing.

John: Well, that was a nice little diversion. Let's get back to the budget.

Marlena: Hey, wait a minute. No, no, no. I don't think so.

John: What do you mean you don't think so? Brady and I are applying for loans to rebuild Basic Black here. We're not gonna show a profit for months, if we're lucky. And our savings balance is a negative 17 cents.

Marlena: I know. I saw that. Hey, listen. I get my first paycheck next week.

John: Uh-uh, uh-uh. I am not gonna live off of your money.

Marlena: My money? Well, how do you feel about us living off of your money?

John: No, our money. It's our money.

Marlena: Oh, I see. You've just made my point. Look, John, we have always been able to get by. We've had tough times. We'll get by, we'll be okay.

John: The big difference is I am the breadwinner in this family. I will support you, I will... is it working?

Marlena: It's working great, but I think you need to relax a little bit. Okay? Ever since you got back, you've been going nonstop. Let's take today and just learn how to relax a little bit, okay? And we'll look forward to Sydney's birthday party. And we'll forget about how much I spent for her present.

John: Uh-huh. Well, it's a grandparent's job to spoil the kids, right?

Marlena: It is. It is. So we'll just, um, think about other stuff to do.

John: Okay. I guess one afternoon of relaxation won't kill me.

Marlena: No, it won't kill you at all. It'll be very good for you.

John: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

Marlena: We'll just have to figure out something to do that won't cost us anything.

John: I can't imagine.

Stefano: There are two keys to this equation... [Clears throat] Mine and yours. Now, the box will not open without both. So as far as I can see, you need me.

Hope: No, we don't need you.

Stefano: Oh, yes, you need my key, all right? Now, I could certainly walk away. I don't have to help you.

Hope: Okay, fine. Simply walk away. We'll just find another way to open it. So don't think of yourself as our savior...because you're not.

Stefano: Oh, well, in that case, Bo, Hope, I've enjoyed our little meeting, but I'm sorry, I have to go. So good luck, good whatever the hell they say.

Bo: You want to know what's in that box just as much as we do. I mean, that's why you're here. This curiosity of yours is eating away at you. You want to know exactly what kind little Mrs. H had on the big, bad Stefano DiMera. So why don't we get this over today? And you can go back to playing chess with yourself... or whatever you call it.

Hope: You need to know what's inside that box as badly as we do. Just admit it, Stefano.

Stefano: Fine, I will help you open the box... on one condition.

Nicole: Give daddy some tea? Ooh.

EJ: Wonderful. Thank you. Let's taste this.

Nicole: That's for you. Mm-hmm.

EJ: You make very good tea, darling.

Nicole: [Chuckles] It's delicious. I like mine with milk and honey, thank you. Mm-hmm.

Lexie: So, sweetheart, are you excited about seeing daddy on TV again?

Theo: TV?

Lexie: Yeah. Yeah. Your daddy has a very important debate coming up. There'll be lots of cameras and reporters, and they'll be asking him lots of questions. And it'll be great. It'll be great. Isn't that cool?

Theo: TV!

Lexie: TV. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, and your daddy is going to do such an amazing job.

Abe: Aw...

Lexie: And all of Salem will see...what a smart, caring, trustworthy man your father is.

Jennifer: Hey, Will, is that-- is that your phone over there?

Will: Oh, yes, it is. Why?

Jennifer: It's been vibrating for about ten minutes. You might want to check it.

Will: Oh, thank you. I doubt it's anything important.

[Cell phone vibrating]

Sami: Will's not picking up.

Rafe: All right, well, I'll try him.

Sami: Wait.

Will: Yeah?

Sami: Will. I've been calling you for, like, ten minutes.

Will: So...

Sami: So Sydney's party starts any second. Where are you?

Will: Okay, calm down. We're almost done here.

Sami: "Here." Where is "here"?

Will: Uh, EJ's. We're just having a little birthday bash for Sydney. You should come over.

Sami: Excuse me, what did you just say?

Will: We're having a little party over at EJ's. You know, family, friends. You should come. I've never seen Sydney smile so big.

Sami: You are not at the DiMeras' with your sister!

Will: Yep. Um, anyway, I should get going.

Sami: Will. William!

Will: Bye.

Sami: Oh, my God.

Rafe: What just happened?

Will: Will hung up on me.

Rafe: Yeah, I got that part, but I could have sworn I just heard you say that Will and Sydney were at the DiMeras'?

Sami: Yes. Yes, that son of a bitch went behind my back and threw a birthday party for Sydney, even though I specifically told EJ no.

Rafe: What the hell's going on?

Sami: And he used Will to do it.

Rafe: Well, he's at least leaving, though, isn't he?

Sami: No. I don't know.

Rafe: Where you going?

Sami: I'm going to get my daughter.

Rafe: Well, I'm going with you.

Sami: Like that?

Rafe: Would you rather I go home and change? We'll be back.

Carrie: Oh, boy. Well, that'll put a damper on Sydney's big day.

Austin: Yeah, yeah, that's a real shame. But I have to admit, Carrie... things really started going South for me when I caught my wife in the arms of my brother-in-law.

Carrie: Austin, I thought you understood it was a dance. We were dancing very badly as well. It was no big deal.

Austin: Usually, when somebody has to say that it's no big deal... it's because it is.

Bo: [Scoffs] You wait until now to tell us there are conditions. Why does that not surprise me?

Stefano: You either play by my rules or we do not play at all.

Hope: Play by your rules? Why should we? We can walk away. You need us too, remember.

Stefano: No, you can't. See, because you are going to be haunted by this secret. Your grandmother's secret will haunt you till the end of days.

Bo: Oh, my God, will you just tell us what you want!

Stefano: Simple. I want to know what the contents of that letter is that is inside the box. That's it. No one touches it, and I'm the only one that sees it.

Hope: Okay, so you walk away with the envelope, we never get to see what's inside. No. No way.

Stefano: Those are my terms. Take it or leave it.

Will: Hey, guys, guess what. The cook just told me that there's some chocolate cake in the kitchen. So if you guys still want some, you can probably go ask her. But you've got to hurry up and go get it, huh? What do you think?

Theo: Come on.

Will: Yeah?

EJ: Where are they off to?

[Doorbell rings]

Sami: Where's Sydney? I want her right now.

EJ: Samantha, what on earth are you doing here?

Sami: I want my daughter. I'm not gonna just let you kidnap her again.

EJ: Kidnap her? Don't be preposterous, please. I'm throwing her a small birthday party.

Nicole: What's with the yelling?

Rafe: [Scoffs]

Nicole: Okay, I get it now. Jeez. Seriously? Rafe, did Sami let you get yourself dressed this morning?

Sami: Shut up, okay? [Laughter] Shut up, Nicole. This is serious. I want my daughter!

EJ: Okay, Samantha, calm down, okay? It's a birthday party. We're all having a lovely time.

Sami: That's funny, I'm not having a lovely time because I didn't know where my daughter was. I've been searching for her. So I want her back. I'm not letting her celebrate her birthday with two kidnappers.

EJ: I'm her father.

Sami: You gave up custody, EJ. You signed away all rights to her. You don't even get visitation. I have been extremely generous letting you see her.

EJ: Hardly.

Sami: From now on, you are only going to see Sydney when I say it's okay. Do you hear me?

Sydney: Stop!

Bo: You're afraid that whatever's in that envelope will end your reign of terror here in Salem.

Hope: You're a coward.

Stefano: No, I'm smart. See, I have something that you want, and you have something that I want. And all I'm trying to do is make a deal that will satisfy all of us.

Bo: Yeah, well, we don't make deals with the devil.

Stefano: [Chuckles] Fine, you call me whatever you want, but let me remind you of something, hmm? That I am the only one that knows one of the secrets that is inside that box. And now that Alice is gone, what stops me from sharing it with the rest of the world?

Hope: You wouldn't.

Stefano: Oh? I would. And I will, unless you play by my rules.

Hope: And if you refuse, you'll never know what Gran had on you.

Stefano: Well, neither will you.

Bo: You know, you keep saying over and over...and over... how terrible this secret is, and if we're really ready to handle the burden of our family's wrongdoing. What about you?

Stefano: What about me?

Bo: Well, we have that other envelope. Are you really ready to handle what Mrs. H had on you?

Carrie: Hey, let's not fight about this, okay?

Austin: Who's fighting? Am I fighting with you? I'm just trying to express myself, that's all. I'm trying to communicate with you because, you know what they say, Carrie, that's the key to a healthy relationship.

Carrie: Okay, well, do you think you could do it in a nicer tone...okay? Because you're hurting my feelings.

Austin: I'm hurting your feelings? Did you just say that I'm hurting your feelings? You don't think that it hurt my feelings to come here and find you with Rafe? After we spent hours, hours trying to put together one lousy date night for us? You can't spend time with your husband, but you've got plenty of time to play princess with this guy?

Carrie: Hey, that's not fair. Sami had to leave town for work, and Rafe was swamped trying to put this party together by himself.

Austin: Yeah, so you had to help him.

Carrie: Yeah. Is that such a bad thing?

Austin: I thought you were gonna call me at lunchtime.

Carrie: I'm sorry, I guess I got caught up.

Austin: You got caught up with the party or...

Carrie: Oh...

Austin: You got caught up with Rafe?

Carrie: Austin, I don't want to have to explain this to you again.

Austin: No, you know what, Carrie, you don't have to explain it, because I don't want to hear it--I've heard it. 'Cause I'm the bad guy. This is my fault, right? I'm the bad guy. I understand.

John: Might be a bad time.

Sami: Hi, sweetie. Oh, come here. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to make you sad. I'm sorry, I was just-- I was yelling because I was worried about you, princess. I'm sorry, I just didn't know where you were, and I was worried about you.

EJ: Everything's gonna be okay. It's your birthday, okay? You can't be sad on your birthday.

Rafe: Hey, Syd, Syd. Look at me. Is it just me, or do I look like Prince Casper?

Sami: He does.

Rafe: It's kinda silly, right?

Sami: Okay, so you know what, we have a very special party planned for you. We're gonna take you home, and then we're going to see everybody at the pub. They're waiting for you. We've got Uncle Austin and Aunt Carrie and Johnny and Allie. It's gonna be so much fun.

Sydney: Daddy.

John: Hey, you all right?

Austin: Uh, John, no. Not really. I take it you caught the show?

John: Yeah, just the tail end.

Austin: [Sighs] I'm sorry you had to see that. This is getting embarrassing, John.

John: Don't worry about it. It's called marriage. Trust me, we've all been there.

Carrie: It's all my fault. If I had just called Austin instead of trying to save the day...

Marlena: Don't be so hard on yourself. You were helping your family.

Carrie: Yeah, but Austin and I have had so little time together lately. I--I see Rafe every day, for hours. I see him more than I see my own husband.

Marlena: You're starting a business together. That's to be expected, honey.

Carrie: Well, business has been slow, and, you know, we've been trying to track new clients, but we've also just been sitting around trying to figure out what to do.

Marlena: Oh, I see.

Carrie: And you know, Austin doesn't get how stressful it's been or why I need to be at the office when nothing much is going on, and... we kind of had a fight about it earlier, and I guess I was kind of excited for an excuse not to go home.

Marlena: Carrie, are you saying that you're avoiding Austin?

Austin: Look, you know, okay, I overreacted. I just miss her. And every time I turn around, she's with him.

John: By "him," I assume you're talking about Rafe.

Austin: Yeah. But this goes beyond that. John, this isn't about Rafe. And I know that there's nothing going on there.

John: Then what's this really about?

Austin: It's about the fact that I want to spend time with my wife. But I don't think my wife wants to spend time with me.

Sami: Sweetie, everybody's waiting for us at the pub. We're already late.

Sydney: I want Daddy.

Sami: [Clears throat] Daddy can't come because he's extremely busy. He already got to have a party with you, right? So daddy won't be able to make this one. Isn't that right?

EJ: Yeah, uh... daddy has a lot to do, sweetheart, so... you go and have a lot of fun. Okay? Tell me all about it when you get back.

Sydney: No.

Sami: Hey, Sydney...

EJ: Hey, sweetheart.

Sami: Uh, sweetheart, we have to get going. We have a party to get to.

Rafe: Yeah, Sydney, you don't want to miss your party. Princess Miranda's gonna be there.

Sami: All right, you know what, I think you're right. Let's ask daddy if he can come for a little bit. Do you have time?

EJ: You hear that? Oh! Daddy's gonna come after all. Okay? So you don't have to worry about that. We'll clean up here and come down, okay?

Sami: Great. Come on, sweetheart. Hey. Nicole, do you have her coat or something? Great. We will see you in a little bit. Can't wait. You coming?

Will: Wouldn't miss it.

Sami: Great.

EJ: [Speaks inaudibly]

Will: What?

EJ: What the hell was that all about?

Will: Oh, I guess my mom got home sooner than expected. Whoops.

EJ: How did she know Sydney was here? Hmm? William, you are treading on very dangerous ground.

Will: I know. But seeing how mad my Mom got... wasn't it totally worth it?

Sami: [Gasps]

Marlena: Oh, my goodness!

Rafe: Look who's here!

John: It's the princess!

Austin: It's the princess.

Marlena: I'm so glad you're here. Oh, Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday. And by the way, the present's awfully big.

Sami: You shouldn't spend money on presents.

Marlena: Well, for these little babies, not a problem. And if it's too big or you already have one, you'll let me know.

Sami: I will.

John: We're glad we could be here. This is nice.

Sami: Yeah, well, there's a lot you missed out on, so we're glad you're here too. Let me get her jacket off. Come here, sweetheart. There you go.

Rafe: All right, why don't I go and get the punch...

Sami: Yeah, do you have time in between dances?

Rafe: Sami, come on...

Sami: Let's not talk about it now, okay?

Rafe: Okay.

Sami: Sorry. Okay.

Carrie: Hi, Sydney. Happy Birthday. You look so beautiful. Do you know who I am?

Sydney: Princess Miranda.

Carrie: Princess Miranda. I guess that's me. [Chuckles]

Rafe: Hey, Austin. Hey, do me a favor. Help me find a ladle, will you, for the punch?

Austin: You used to be a detective, brother. Find it yourself.

Will: Hey! What's up? The party has arrived.

Sami: What is your problem?

Will: Uh, right now, nothing. I'm in a fantastic mood.

Sami: You listen to me, this is your sister's birthday party, and I'm not gonna let you ruin it for her. But after this, you and I are gonna have a very serious conversation. Do you hear me?

Will: Yeah. Loud and clear.

Stefano: Look who's playing games now.

Bo: No games. I don't think you can handle the truth.

Stefano: I guarantee neither can you.

Hope: Stop speculating and open the box.

Stefano: Well, only if we do it according to my terms.

Hope: I don't trust you.

Stefano: Nor I you. Okay? But you have to decide what is important-- finding out the secret of your family, or trying to come up with some phony excuse against me. [Chuckles] Okay, apparently we're not gonna settle this today. That's fine. You know where to find me once you two make up your mind.

Hope: No, no, no. You can't leave.

Stefano: Oh? But I can. Open the box, close the box... either way I win. Ciao, darling.

Hope: [Frustrated groan]

Bo: Hey, come on. He's not worth it.

Hope: What I wouldn't give to see that bastard behind bars.

Bo: I'm with you there. Don't worry, we'll figure this out.

Lexie: Well, I suppose since our hosts have left, we should leave too.

Abe: Well, you want to go to the pub for Sydney's other party?

Lexie: [Sighs]

Jennifer: Uh, I'm good. I've had enough drama for the day.

Lexie: Yeah, right? I agree with Jennifer. Besides, we should get Theo home. He's got lots of homework, and he's starting to get tired.

Abe: Yeah. You take him out to the car, and I'll get my coat and all of our other things from the living room.

Jennifer: I'll just grab my purse.

Lexie: Okay. Come on. There you go.

Abe: The fake questions are in the drawer, just waiting for EJ.

Jennifer: You sound like you're having second thoughts.

Abe: No. No... no second thoughts. EJ's played dirty all along. And now... now he leaves us no other choice.

Jennifer: Right.
