Sami: What is it?
Kate: The search for the new face for Countess W. I'll tell you, look at these photos they sent out from the modeling agency.
Sami: Are you kidding? I mean, they look like they are all practically the same girl.
Kate: Right, pale and skinny.
Sami: Yeah, she definitely needs to eat a cheeseburger. Look at that one! God.
Kate: And some French fries. Where are the Cindys and the Naomis of today? I'm telling you.
Sami: If you ask me, Kate, you are going about this search all wrong.
John: So what do you think, son? Uh, let me rephrase that. So what do you think, partner?
Brady: [Laughs] I like that. Um, well, speaking as your son and as your business partner, I think this is a great outline to rebuild Basic Black. I like it.
John: It's great to hear. Listen, I just got to tell you again how proud I am to have you working with me.
Brady: This opportunity means a lot to me too.
John: No regrets? You know, about leaving your grandfather and Titan?
Brady: It was tough, but, uh, it was the right move.
Abe: Hey, John! Well, let's see, you're all set up here.
Lexie: Ready for your close-up?
John: You bet I am. But listen, before we get started, I want to introduce you to my new business partner.
John: That is right-- Basic Black is now a father-son company.
Brady: Yeah, the old man finally decided to give me a shot.
Abe: That's great. Wow. This is a special day for you.
John: Yeah, I feel really blessed.
Abe: As soon as this interview is over, you can finally close this chapter of your life.
Lexie: Amen to that, huh?
John: All that matters to me right now are the innocent people that trusted me with their money get their future back.
Brady: You did an amazing thing, you know.
John: So did you. Just knowing that these investments are going to be restored, makes whatever we have to overcome to rebuild Basic Black completely worth it.
EJ: Bad move with those Cardinals, darling.
Nicole: [Sighs] Angry birds have nothing on me.
EJ: Mmm. What's up?
Nicole: John Black's press. It's like he's turning into some urban folk hero, right before our eyes. Hey, and you do know that today's the day that the pension funds are restored?
EJ: Yes, that's old news, sweetheart.
Nicole: Well, my sources say that John is about to endorse Abe Carver.
EJ: That's still old news, sweetheart.
Nicole: Okay, fine. Here's a little twist for you.
Nicole: Abe is set to announce his new plan to create local jobs. Mm-hmm. Yeah, I'd like to find out what that is and beat him to the punch.
EJ: Hmm. Started working on that yesterday.
Nicole: Oh, really? Well, would you like to fill me in? Will Horton?
EJ: Oh. Excellent, William. Let me introduce you to the newest member of our campaign.
Maggie: Victor, I think your out-of-the-blue job offer to Madison has left her speechless.
Victor: And I'm sure that doesn't happen very often.
Madison: I'm just a little bit overwhelmed. Being offered the job of CEO of Titan--that's a lot to take in.
Victor: Well, I will have to run it past the board of directors. But, bottom line, they'll do what I want. And I think you'd be perfect for the job.
Madison: I-I have so much respect for you, Victor. And I'm so flattered. I really am. But as we discussed, if I take this job, I'd have to give up the day-to-day runnings of Mad World.
Victor: And is that a problem?
Madison: Yes, it is.
Brady: Dad, I didn't know you were giving an interview today.
Lexie: Our idea, our idea.
Abe: We're using Jennifer's media contacts to set up an interview on the day the funds are being returned to the individual pension accounts.
Brady: I think that's a great idea. I mean, no good deed should go unnoticed.
[Cell phone rings]
Brady: Especially not one this big.
John: I agree.
Brady: Uh, I got to take this. Excuse me for a second.
John: Go for it.
Abe: Uh, John. Really do appreciate your working your endorsement of my reelection into your interview. I think it's going to carry a lot of weight with the voters.
John: Well, to be honest, I'm kind of doing it for selfish reasons. You see, I live here in Salem. And the last thing I want is for EJ DiMera to be my mayor. Now the fact is the voting public needs to know that you're a stand-up guy, one who doesn't abandon his friends or community when the chips are down.
Lexie: I couldn't have said that better myself. Oh, there's our reporter. I'll go make sure she has everything she needs.
[Cell phone rings]
Abe: Oh, gosh. Uh-- got a text. Excuse me.
John: Everybody's leaving me. [Chuckles]
Brady: Dad, I, uh-- I got to tie up some loose ends at Titan.
John: Oh, yeah, yeah. Take your time. Everything's under control here. Have a good one.
Both: See you.
Abe: Hey, uh, buddy. I'm really happy you and Brady are going to be working together.
John: [Sighs] So am I. And I will be even happier, if my endorsement for you helps bury EJ DiMera.
Nicole: [Laughs] Um... since when did Will become part of our team?
EJ: Well, um, I suppose it just really happened, didn't it, William? I mean, I, for one, couldn't be more excited.
EJ: So, William, as it turns out, has quite an interest in politics. And I thought this would be an incredible opportunity for us to have a member of the revered Horton family working on our campaign.
Nicole: Oh. Well, contrary to popular opinion, they aren't exactly the answer to the royal family.
EJ: This does go towards college credit, isn't that right, William?
Will: Yeah. That's true.
EJ: Thought so.
Nicole: Well, Will, you surprise me. Must have done something right all those years, being your stepmommy, hmm? You managed to pick the winning team.
Will: Yeah, I guess so.
Nicole: It's still hard for me to believe, though, that you're not more "Team Carver" than "Team DiMera" in your heart.
EJ: Actually, darling, we're really fortunate that William here didn't have to look too deeply into his heart. 'Cause it turned out there were, uh, no opportunities available on the Carver campaign.
Nicole: Huh. Welcome to the team. If you two handsome men will excuse me, I have some phone calls to make.
Will: Why did you make me come here...huh? What do you want?
EJ: It's very simple, my young Padawan. You're about to start earning favor with the master.
Kate: I don't know what you mean. I contacted all the top modeling agencies, and they sent me the best of the best.
Sami: Well, maybe we shouldn't be going through the normal channels on this one, right? I mean, think about it. What is Countess W? We want to be relatable. We want to be now, right? And I mean, women today, they don't relate to those starving waifs!
Sami: Right. So maybe we have to do this differently. Our Countess is our customer-- the women who buy our products.
Kate: Okay, I'm listening.
Sami: Okay, okay. I'm... figuring it out. What if we do a campaign like a search for the face of Countess. You know, like remember the search we did, and Carrie was picked all those years ago? We could do something like that, where we actually find a woman who's relevant now, that people can relate to, and who reminds women today that Countess W products help enhance their natural beauty, and make them vibrant.
Kate: Well, I suppose... if we use someone from Salem, since we are a home-based company--
Sami: Absolutely. Let's start in Salem-- do a local search. And then we could do a ton of local searches across the country. You know, go national with it. Maybe even internationally-- looking for the face of Countess. What do you think?
Maggie: Coffee break! I think it's time that you two had a little break from your high-level bargaining.
[Tray clacks on table]
Madison: It's very nice of you, Mrs. Kiriakis.
Maggie: Oh, please, would you call me Maggie?
Madison: Thank you, Maggie.
Victor: I was just explaining to Madison that Titan is a huge company. About a hundred times the size of yours... a multitude of subsidiaries.
Maggie: Are you trying to scare her or sell her?
Victor: My gut tells me that she's capable of running all of it--the whole damn thing.
Maggie: My husband is an excellent judge of character.
Victor: That's true. And I think you'd make a hell of a CEO.
Madison: I'm flattered. I'm--
Maggie: And still overwhelmed?
Maggie: Victor, you really don't expect her to make a decision this second, do you?
Victor: Well, I'd be thrilled to death if she would.
Maggie: Well, this is a lot for Madison to absorb. How about giving her a minute-- or 600--to think it over?
Victor: Of course. In the meantime, I'll have corporate put together a salary package with all the bells and whistles, so you can look over it right away.
Madison: Thank you. For everything. Um, I should really get back to work now. Thank you, Maggie.
Madison: And I will be in touch, sir.
Maggie: I think you made a smart move there.
Victor: And I appreciate the unparalleled backup.
Maggie: Mm-hmm. You do?
Will: What do you want me to do?
EJ: [Clears throat] Abraham and Alexandra are over at the Brady Pub right now listening to John give a speech about how he's going to return all of those pensioners their money.
Will: And what does that have to do with me?
EJ: You are going to go down there... you're going to listen to him drivel away, and you're going to find Abraham's computer. You're going to locate the files on that computer that have information about his jobs proposal, and you're going to get that to me.
Will: How am I supposed to do that? I doubt Abe's going to hand his computer to me.
EJ: Um, you're quite right. See, I asked you to do this, because I thought you could be a little bit creative, William. So you're going to find a way to get the computer, then you'll find a way to get the information. And if you get caught, you can use that wonderfully creative little mind of yours to find a way out of it. Clear?
Will: I know what you want me to do--you want me to steal the files. And I'm not going to do it.
EJ: Let me make something very clear to you. I own you. So unless you want certain information to made public-- like, for example, the fact that it wasn't your father who shot me, it was you-- I suggest you start toeing the line. Now... find that information for me. Put it on this. Text me when it's done. Are we clear? Are we clear? Thank you.
Will: We're clear.
EJ: Good. Kids.
Maggie: I can't wonder... how you're handling all of this.
Victor: What do you mean?
Maggie: Well, it had to be a shock when Brady resigned from Titan.
Victor: Yes, well, I admit, I was a little hurt and angry when he first told me.
Maggie: Yeah, I noticed.
Victor: But, believe it or not, I've come to realize that it's probably for the best.
Maggie: That's not the answer I was expecting.
Victor: For Brady to be willing to give up a company that he went to such great lengths to get control of... just might mean that he's maturing.
Maggie: Well, I think working with his father will definitely help that process along.
Victor: Well, the best thing about this whole chain of events is that Brady will get a chance to renew his relationship with John. And as you said, Isabella would like that very much.
Maggie: I'm sure that your daughter is smiling down on you right now.
Victor: One of the reasons why I'm willing to let Brady go. Even if it means there won't be a member of the family at the head of my company anymore.
Maggie: Brady isn't the only family member you have, you know. What about your son?
Brady: Hey. Surprised to see you out of the office.
Madison: Uh, hi.
Madison: I just took a walk to clear my head.
Brady: Is everything okay?
Madison: Yeah, just some things I had to sort through. What are you doing here?
Brady: I went over to the pub and I told my dad that I resigned from Titan.
Madison: He must have been ecstatic.
Brady: Yeah. He's very happy that we're going to be building Basic Black together.
Madison: My loss is your dad's gain.
Brady: You're still okay with it, right?
Madison: No, of course, I am. Yes, totally okay with it. I just [Groans] am having one of those little feeling-sorry-for- myself kind of moments.
Madison: I secretly wish you'd stay at Titan so that I could still work with you. So I said it, okay, so sue me.
Brady: [Laughs] No, I like that you said it. But remember...one of the reasons that led me to this decision was the fact that you told me you wished you could have shared your success with your mom.
Madison: Yeah, I have a big mouth.
Brady: Yeah. This is probably the one chance I'll ever have to build something with my dad, and you helped me see it. And I thank you for that.
Madison: Listen, you were going to make the right decision all by yourself. I know that. You didn't need me.
Brady: No, just because I'm going to be working my butt off with my dad, doesn't mean we're not going to still see each other, okay? Maybe not in the morning or the afternoon at Titan, but evenings are a totally different story.
Madison: I'm not sure that's going to be possible.
Sami: Seriously, Kate, can you just give me an answer before Spring? I mean, if you hate my idea, just say so.
Kate: Hold on. Just taking a moment to ponder the ramifications.
Kate: And... I think the idea is genius.
Sami: Are you serious? I knew it'd be a winner. Wait a second. Did you just call me a genius?
Nicole: Oh. Where's our new little intern?
EJ: I sent him on an errand.
Nicole: Good. 'Cause then you can explain to me... why you hired Will Horton out of the clear blue sky.
EJ: Stop it. No tickling at work, remember? Look, what can I say? He just fell into my lap.
EJ: I think this is a good thing for the campaign, you know?
Nicole: Honey, we're going to need more than a Horton to boost us to where we need to be right now. Seriously--
EJ: I have a funny feeling...
Nicole: What are you doing? What?
EJ: That he's going to give us the exact boost that we need.
Nicole: Oh, yeah?
EJ: Oh, yeah.
Nicole: Well, I wish I had your confidence.
John: Let's just say the last few months have been... rather trying for me and my family. And I have to say that if it wasn't for the strength and support of Abraham Carver and his lovely wife Dr. Lexie Carver, you and I would not be sitting here having this conversation right now. And now that I am vindicated, I would like to personally thank my very close friend Abraham Carver for his unwavering support, by formally backing his mayoral campaign. I'd also like to say that I'm hoping to add to the success of his jobs program by rebuilding my own company, Basic Black, right here in this great town of Salem.
Taryn: I'm sure the mayor will be very pleased to hear that. Now, if I may, I would like to ask you a few questions about the retrieval of the lost investment funds.
Abe: Oh, Will. Hey, what brings you here, man.
Will: I'm just--just here to support John.
Abe: Oh, that's great. He's going to be happy to see you.
[Cell phone rings]
Abe: I'm sorry, just too busy.
Will: No problem.
Abe: Excuse me.
Victor: I assume you're talking about Philip. As you heard me tell Madison, he's interested in building a life for himself and his son, in Chicago. He has no interest whatsoever in running Titan.
Maggie: I heard you, but I'm not talking about Philip. I'm talking about Bo.
Maggie: Yes, Bo. Have you ever considered asking him to join the family and run the company?
Victor: Bo in a suit and tie, now there's a thought.
Victor: No, actually, nothing would thrill me more. In fact, the brief time that he did spend at Titan, he did a very impressive job.
Maggie: Well, then that might be something that you should explore with him.
Victor: Turned out that he and Titan were never a fit. Besides, he'd never leave the police force.
Maggie: Well, wouldn't it be nice for him to know that you thought about it? I mean, even though, most assuredly, he'd turn you down, I think he'd be flattered that you considered him.
Victor: You know, you never cease to amaze me. I always thought I was the master at running the family. But you trump me every time. How'd I get so lucky to find you?
Maggie: Oh, Victor, stop. No, on second thought, tell me more.
Victor: How about if I tell you... that I was the luckiest man in the world to fall in love with you. And even luckier to marry you.
Brady: What are you talking about? What do you mean it's going to be a problem seeing each other?
Madison: Well, you know, you're going to be busy helping John, and, um, my workload might be changing soon.
Brady: Fine, fine. It doesn't matter, because I'll be bringing Chinese food to you at Mad World, and I will hang out with you while you slog through the work.
Madison: Except you might have to bring that Chinese food to your old office.
Brady: Wha--wh-- wait a minute. Did my grandfather offer you the CEO position at Titan?
Madison: He did. He's sending me his package with terms.
Brady: Wow, that's great. That is--I think it's great. I mean, I'm not surprised. I mean, Victor Kiriakis is no fool--he knows good talent when he sees it. I--this-- well I guess the question is, are you going to take the job or not?
Nicole: Is there something you're not telling me? Hmm? What little tricks do you have up your sleeve?
EJ: Up my sleeve?
EJ: No, darling, I'm just confident that I'm going to find a way to level the playing field with Abe. I think that's about enough talk about the campaign.
Nicole: Enough talk about the campaign-- what are you talking about? We're in the middle of a huge ordeal here.
EJ: Okay, but I'd like to focus on the other important thing in my life...
Nicole: Oh, oh. Well, as sweet as that is, honey, duty calls.
EJ: What? Bup, bup, bup, bup. Uh-uh.
Nicole: Whoa, hey there.
EJ: Duty, please--bup, bup.
Nicole: What are you doing?
EJ: Thank you. Duty is taking the night off.
EJ: Yes, absolutely. Now we're done with work for a while. I promised I was going to put you first. So that's exactly what I'm going to...do. Let's go.
Nicole: Oh, go where?
EJ: You'll see.
John: You know, I've known Abraham Carver for over 25 years now. And we first were working side by side in law enforcement. And, um, there was a period in time when... we all went through some rough moments.
Maggie: I think we're both very lucky. That's why it's very important that you find the right person to run Titan. Because I have no intention of sharing you with this company.
Victor: [Chuckles] Well, then we better hope that Madison accepts the job. And why wouldn't she? It would elevate her career to a whole new level.
Maggie: Well, that's true. But decisions aren't predicated on job and money always. I mean, sometimes people make choices strictly from the heart.
Victor: What do you mean?
Maggie: If she takes this job, she's probably not going to have a moment for Brady. And maybe she's at a point in her life where she just doesn't want to work that much anymore.
Victor: Again, very perceptive, Mrs. Kiriakis. But you know, Titan aside, I think Madison James would make a perfect fit for my grandson.
Madison: I didn't give Victor any indication about the job, one way or the other. But, thankfully, Maggie told him to give me some time to think about it.
Brady: That is very smart, but if you think about it, really think about it, it's a no-brainer. Madison, you're a natural. Your new innovations that you conceived of at Mad World, you can implement them right into Titan tomorrow. Yeah, but Mad World is-- it's my little baby. It's more than a business to me.
Brady: I know it is.
Madison: It's like a dream that I made into a reality. So much of me inside that company. I'm not sure that I could just walk away from it.
Brady: If I was you, I would jump all over it. But the choice is yours.
Kate: I said your idea was genius. I in no way called you a genius.
Sami: Okay, it's a compliment--I'll take it.
Kate: Oh, my God.
Kate: What have I created? A monster?
Sami: Well, what are you talking about?
Kate: Well, I mean, it definitely boosted your self-confidence when I stole you away from Mad World, right? And now this?
Sami: I love my job.
Kate: You love your job?
Sami: This genius loves her job.
Kate: Great. Just don't let it go to your head.
Sami: All right, I won't. It's fine, Kate. Maybe I will take Rafe out to celebrate though. A nice dinner.
Kate: What is this? Rafe, Rafe, Rafe, Rafe, Rafe. Trouble in paradise?
Sami: What are you talking about? Why would you even say that?
Kate: Oh, come on, Sami. I know you. The only person you talk about is yourself. And now it's suddenly Rafe 24/7. So...what did you do to him?
Nicole: I never thought I would admit this, but I am glad that you took my cell phone and my tablet hostage.
EJ: Oh. Okay. Well, here is to knowing when to stop, and to enjoying one another.
EJ: Whoop. [Gasps] What is that?
EJ: My goodness. Maybe you should open it.
Nicole: Oh. What did I do to deserve this?
EJ: I saw it and I wanted to thank you for everything that you've done for me.
Nicole: [Gasps] Oh, my God. It's beautiful. Oh, wait a minute. Is this thing on? [Laughs] No, but seriously, EJ, you don't have to keep getting me gifts. Of course, unless you want to.
EJ: I want to. I think I have a lot of making up to do, don't you?
Nicole: So do I. The most romantic thing you've gotten out of me is a pen.
EJ: I don't know if that's the most romantic thing I ever got out of you.
Nicole: [Laughs] Seriously, I don't want to keep talking about the past. We're starting fresh, right? We don't have to keep apologizing. And we're being totally honest with each other now. And that's all I care about.
EJ: We have made a commitment to one another, and we love one another. Nicole, I couldn't have done this election campaign without you.
Nicole: Mmm, I beg to differ. I was pretty green when you gave me the chance. There are a ton of people that are more experienced than I am that could've gotten you into office.
EJ: Maybe, okay? But we make a good team. All right, we're partners. That makes a big difference. I've never had a real partnership before. And it's something I'm definitely not going to just throw away.
Nicole: I'm going to kiss you.
EJ: You better. I love you.
Lexie: Will, thanks for coming down to support John.
Will: Oh, of course. A big day for Salem and for everybody.
Lexie: Yes, it is.
John: Hey, kid, thanks for stopping by.
Will: Of course, I didn't want to bother you guys. I just wanted, you know, to let you know I support you.
John: That's great.
Taryn: Excuse me, can I get some follow-up questions with you, the mayor and his wife?
John: Hey, you up for a couple questions?
Abe: Whatever you need, buddy.
John: Let's go.
Abe: All right.
Taryn: Now that you are vindicated, how has your life changed? How are things different?
John: A lot of difference. I liquidated Basic Black and all my personal funds--somewhere around $7 million down to $7-- and that is a big change.
Brady: Look, I am not going to try to influence you one way or another on this thing. But I have every confidence that you will make the right decision no matter what you choose.
Madison: I don't know what to say.
Brady: Why? What?
Madison: Uh... it's--it's a huge job. The job at Titan is so big, I thought that if I didn't take it, maybe you'd think less of me.
Brady: I want what's best for you. I want what's best for you. If that means staying at Mad World, fine. If that means running a huge conglomerate and ruling the world, that's fine. If it means moving to Hawaii and living in a hut and selling conch shells on the beach, that's fine too. But I want to go with you if you decide to do the latter.
Madison: We're going to get there, right? We're going to have our day on that tropical beach someday.
Brady: I sure hope so.
Madison: If we moguls can make time for vacations and whatnot.
Brady: I think I'll always be able to make time for the most brilliant, sexy, generous, genuine person I've ever known.
Madison: You are an amazing man. And everything you just said goes double for me.
Sami: I can't believe you'd even say that. What are you talking about?
Kate: Well, what am I talking about? What I just said--that you were overcompensating with your husband, with the constant texting, and the long lovey-dovey messages. Frankly, it's nauseating.
Sami: Are you serious, Kate? Since when is it a crime to show your husband affection? I love Rafe, so I want him to know that. But you don't understand that.
Kate: With a normal person, that would all be perfectly normal, right? But with you, I recognize this behavior, because I saw it with my sons.
Sami: Seriously, you're going to bring up the Austin and Lucas ancient history?
Kate: History has a way of repeating itself. And when you get all desperate and needy like this, I know that something's up--something not good.
Sami: You know what? There's nothing wrong with me and Rafe, okay? Our relationship is great. And you should just stay out of it.
Kate: Okay. Just an observation. I need to get these to Legal.
[Cell phone rings]
Nicole: Hey, seriously-- what is that, huh? I should have kept your cell phone hostage. Give me!
EJ: Nothing. No, no, no. No tickling in public.
Nicole: What? I didn't know that was a rule.
EJ: It's part of the campaign rules.
Nicole: Who is it?
EJ: It's--it's Will.
EJ: Oh, he just finished that errand that I sent him on earlier. [Clears throat] He's going to meet me back at the house.
Nicole: Okay. Well, you know what? Since I'm here, I guess I'll stop by the campaign headquarters and see how the new volunteers are doing.
EJ: Okay. Um... maybe, uh, maybe meet me back at the house too.
Nicole: Yeah, for sure. Thank you for my bracelet.
EJ: You're very welcome.
Nicole: Um...EJ... life is good. And I owe it all to you. I'll see you later.
EJ: Good morning, dear.
John: Well, Will, I think we're finished here. Want to join us for some hot chocolate?
Will: Oh, thank you so much. I wish I could, but I can't.
John: All right, well, maybe next time, maybe next time. Thanks for stopping by.
Will: Sure. I'm glad I could.
Abe: Hey, take care, man. All right, I'll see you later.
Will: Okay, good luck with your campaign. I-I hope it goes well. I hope it goes really well.
Abe: Thank you.
Lexie: It will. We are going to give my brother hell.
Will: Yeah, okay. See you.
Lexie: Bye. Wow. It was really sweet of Will to come by and support you.
[Door clacks shut]
Lexie: I know Marlena said he's been having problems, but--
John: He's a good kid.
John: He's going to be just fine.
Maggie: Do you realize that this is a huge moment.
Maggie: Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe that Madison James is the first woman that you have remotely approved of for Brady.
Victor: Is it any wonder? Given the parade of floozies, cheats and gold diggers that he's marched through here?
Maggie: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to raise your blood pressure.
Victor: Well, at least Madison's got her head screwed on straight. She's beautiful, she's intelligent... and I think she's A... perfect match for my grandson.
Maggie: Well, they're lucky to have found each other. But the reality is, at this stage of their lives and their career, they're going to have plenty of obstacles to overcome.
Brady: I wish I could stick around and continue this little conversation, but I got to go talk to my dad.
Madison: Oh, okay. Thank you for everything, for all of your support. You've been a huge help already.
Brady: You're welcome. Always. I'll see you.
Madison: Hey, it's me. Um, so I have kind of a big decision to make. I need your...advice. Yeah, just like the old days, I need your help again.
Kate: Okay. I spoke to Legal, and you're all clear to go ahead with your search for the new face of Countess Wilhelmina.
Sami: Great. I'll start drafting up the proposal right now.
Kate: But I'm warning you... you better make this genius idea work.
Sami: Kate, I won't let you down.
[Door clacks open]
Taryn: Thanks again for your time today. I really appreciate it.
Both: Thank you.
Lexie: Thank you. Very good.
John: Thanks for the coverage.
Taryn: Of course, bye-bye.
Abigail: Hey, buddy, you know, Lexie and I want to thank you too. You're a local hero now, and your endorsement is going to give my campaign a big boost.
Lexie: Yeah. Up until now my brother's been depending on his DiMera bag of dirty tricks. But after your endorsement, I do believe his campaign just took a hit those tricks can't fix.
John: Oh, well let's hope so.
Abe: You know, I don't want to get overconfident, but... I think with your endorsement and my new jobs-creation program, I'm in good shape for another term.
John: I like the way he thinks.
Lexie: I do too.
Lexie: All right.
Will: I know you don't care, but I feel awful about doing this.
EJ: Oh, yes, it's brutal. Poor Will Horton--it's hard to take. Let me make a suggestion to you, old boy--next time you try to blackmail a DiMera, be careful. They like to up the ante. Oh... and take a lesson, William. I held onto this information that I had--where you tried to kill me--for a long, long time. You save it until you need it, and then you use it. That day arrived.
Will: Okay. Okay, you won. You got me. Is that what you want? I don't have to feel good about any of this.
EJ: Well, let's look on the bright side. It seems like you were able to swipe the information that I needed with, uh, minimal effort.
Will: Yeah, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.
EJ: See? You need to think about this. Think about how under my tutelage you might be able to learn so much about yourself, William. William...so much about the world.
On the next "Days of Our Lives" --
Carrie: I didn't know you were in here half-dressed.
Austin: You are full of surprises, Abby.
Hope: She put that key there for a reason, and until I figure out what that reason is, I'm not dropping it.
