Doug: Here's to a wonderful night and a fantastic new year.

Hope: And--

Julie: And--

Hope: And... to Caroline.

Bo: Oh, yes.

Hope: For agreeing to babysit the grandchildren.

Bo: Hear, hear.

Doug: Here's to Caroline.

Hope: Daddy... wait. For good luck.

Bo: Yes, please.

Julie: Down we go.

Hope: I'm so excited to hear you sing tonight.

Bo: Oh.

Doug: Bring back just a few memories, eh?

Hope: A lot.

Bo: That it will.

Julie: It's going to be just like old times.

Doug: Yeah.

Julie: When you used to sing at Doug's place.

Doug: Yeah.

Julie: I have a confession. My heart used to go pitty-pat every time he would pick up that microphone.

Hope: And it still does.

Julie: Yeah, still does.

Doug: So I'm singing tonight. Why don't you join me? Because my heart goes pitty-pat whenever you're by my side. How 'bout that?

Julie: Oh, darling.

EJ: I don't think I could imagine a better way to spend new year's eve-- you, me, a bottle of champagne. We have everything we need, right?

Nicole: Mm-hmm. And as much as I agree--

EJ: Mm-hmm.

Nicole: We have to make an appearance at the town square today.

EJ: We have to make an appearance at the town square... [Both laughing] Can we not just take one night off from campaigning, please? Please?

Nicole: Uh, well, if you...

EJ: Please?

Nicole: If you want to be the mayor of Salem, you have to schmooze with the common folk.

EJ: Mm-hmm.

Nicole: Yes.

EJ: I'd much rather do this.

Nicole: Oh!

Brady: [Snaps] There you are. Are you still working?

Madison: Yes. Trust me, I don't want to be. Sami left me with all of her projects. Until I find a replacement, I'm stuck doing all of her work.

Brady: [Sighs] Well, here's an idea. Um, why don't you take a break? Madison, come on. The printers and all the distributors are closed for the holiday. No one's going to return your damn phone call on new year's eve. Let's go celebrate as planned.

Madison: I would love to.

Brady: Let's get out of here.

Madison: I'm sorry, I want-- I want to. I wish I could, but, um... I don't want to ruin your new year's eve. You should go out and have a great time and enjoy yourself. Have fun. I insist, really.

Brady: All right, [Snaps] If you insist. [Kisses] You have fun. I'll see you in the new year.

Madison: Wow.

Brady: Wow, what?

Madison: Oh, I don't know. I just thought it would be a little more difficult to get you to leave me here slaving away by myself on new year's eve. Happy new year to you too.

Marlena: Oh, no, no. No. You're not to move. I'll do all the heavy lifting tonight.

John: [Sighs]

Marlena: Mmm. Oh.

John: I can't believe this. Kissing my beautiful wife on new year's eve. I honestly thought I'd never do this again.

Marlena: Mmm. Well, you'd better brace yourself. I checked the menu for this evening--

John: Mm-hmm.

Marlena: This is all we have on tonight. [Gasps] I know!

John: Huh?

Marlena: Let's order Chinese food.

John: Well, you're the boss. You'd rather ha--

Marlena: Oh, wait. Let me just check my-- oh, dear.

John: Hmm? What's up?

Marlena: It's from the bank. Our debit card has been declined.

Carrie: Okay, so we'll head to Sami and Rafe's for games and dinner, and then go to Horton square and ring in the new year. Sound good?

Austin: Sounds great.

Carrie: Yay! Okay, how do I look?

Austin: You know, I-- I think you wasted your time putting that dress on.

Carrie: [Chuckles]

Austin: Because I'm just going to have to take it right off of you.

Carrie: Oh, yeah?

Austin: Yeah.

Carrie: Oh. No, Austin. We're going to be late. Come on.

Austin: No, wait, wait, wait. Wait. If I make it quick?

Carrie: Well... not too quick.

Sami: Hey, will. You look great.

Rafe: Look at you. You heading to that party at town square? Huh?

Will: Yeah. Uh... just waiting for Melanie.

Sami: Melanie? Jonas? Are you dating her?

Will: Mmm, okay, well, it's not any of your business, but, uh, no. Sonny, Melly, and I are going together because none of us have dates.

Sami: That sounds like fun.

Will: Oh, yeah. Being single on new year's eve is a real blast.

Rafe: All right. Hey, listen, you hungry? Want some food? Your mom picked up plenty of stuff.

Will: No.

Rafe: No?

Will: No. Thank you.

Sami: Hey, I think you'd like it--it's from chez rouge.

Rafe: Chez rouge? We can't afford that.

Sami: Actually, um, I was waiting for the perfect moment, but maybe now is that time. Um... we don't need to worry about money anymore. 'Cause I took a new job. And it pays twice what I was making before. Isn't that awesome?

Abigail: Okay, everything is ready to go. Pizza's in the oven, champagne's on ice. You and I are going to have a perfect new year's eve.

Chad: Awesome.

Abigail: Should we put the DVD in?

Chad: Um, yeah, yeah. Sure. Whatever you want.

Abigail: Chad, are you sure you don't want to go out? You sure you don't want to go to that party at the town square? I don't want you to have a boring new year's eve just because your girlfriend wanted to stay home.

Chad: No, no. I'm exactly where I want to be-- just the two of us.

Abigail: Great. Me too. It'll be fun.

Nicole: We have to get up, because it is important for you to get that handsome face out there and mingle with your people.

EJ: Oh, really? You make it sound so tedious.

Nicole: Oh, gosh. Listen, you better get used to it. You better get used to it, okay? Because it is all in your mayoral job description.

EJ: Uh-huh.

Nicole: Uh-huh.

EJ: Uh-huh. Okay, maybe you're right. I suppose I should remember that I'm trying to do this for Johnny and for Sydney, so that they can have a better future...

Nicole: For your children.

EJ: And a name that they can be proud of...come here.

Nicole: Go. Off. Off!

EJ: Ah! Kill me.

John: I see. Okay, thank you. Hmm? Yeah. Yeah, happy new year to you too.

Marlena: Well? What did they say?

[Phone thuds]

John: It was pretty simple. Someone robbed innocent Americans of their pensions under my company... which I then paid back. Now we have no money.

Marlena: Well, I knew things would be tight, but I didn't--

John: We don't have a penny to our name, doc.

Rafe: You got a new job? Wow! Well... congratulations. Yes? But maybe you should have talked to me about it first.

Sami: Um, well, they offered me double what I was making before, so I didn't think there was much to talk about.

Rafe: Doing what?

Sami: No need to be suspicious. It's a great job, it's in the same industry. I'll just have more responsibilities. And the benefits are great. Even if I will be working with Kate.

Rafe: Kate? As in Kate DiMera?

Sami: Look, I can take it if she can. And, you know, what's most important is it helps out the family. It's been a long time since you've been... working, and, uh, I figured we need the money.

Rafe: Yeah, well, funny enough, I actually got a job offer today too.

Sami: Really?

Rafe: Yeah.

Sami: That's great. Wh-- what's the job?

Rafe: Well, I thought I would talk to you about it first, though, before I made the decision. Carrie--she's opening a new law firm here in town, and she asked me to be her lead investigator and a partner.

Carrie: Carrie? My sister Carrie? Carrie that I don't even get along with that well?

Rafe: Yeah.

Will: I'm sorry, are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? Rafe gets offered a great job, and--and all you can think about is how it affects you?

Sami: Will.

Will: I'm sorry, I keep thinking that you can't get any more selfish than you already are, but you keep proving me wrong!

Rafe: What have I said, will? You do not talk to your mother that way. You hear me?

Will: She doesn't deserve you, you know? You don't deserve him.

Sami: Will, look. Look, just tell me what it is, okay? I'm sorry, but I want you to tell me why you are mad at me so we can just work it out.

Will: Hmm.

[Rapid knocking at door]

Will: I'll get it.

Sonny: Happy new year!

Melanie: Happy new year!

[Party horn blows]

Melanie: Did-- did we come at a bad time?

Will: No, no, no. No, it's perfect, actually. Come on, let's go.

Melanie: Okay.

Sami: Oh, wait! No. Um, I have food, lots of food. Why don't you stay, have a bite? I got crab cakes.

Will: We're not--

Both: Crab cakes!

Melanie: All right!

Rafe: Chez rouge.

Melanie: Oh, fancy crab cakes. Oh, that's enough.

Brady: Wait a minute, wait a minute. I know what you're doing. You're doing that woman thing, right? Where you say one thing but you mean exactly the opposite, right?

Madison: Of course, that's what I was doing.

Brady: I thought so. I was hoping you'd say that, actually.

[Thudding]

Brady: Look at this.

Madison: Oh, my goodness.

Brady: Did you really think that I was going to celebrate new year's eve without you?

Madison: Your act was very convincing.

Brady: I have a gift for that. Hey, be nice. [Laughs]

Madison: Wow, this is amazing. Thank you.

Brady: You're welcome.

Abigail: So, um, what's your new year's resolution?

Chad: Oh, it's the same-- get better at cards. Just kidding. Um, raise my GPA. I'm actually kind of worried about Austin's class. Hopefully he's not too hard of a grader.

Abigail: Right.

Chad: You know, I was thinking about that book he had. Um... the one about relationships. It's actually kind of interesting, don't you think?

Abigail: Yeah.

Both: We need to talk.

John: Damn! Aren't financial advisers supposed to fill you in on these little details? We're lucky they didn't turn our damn electricity off.

Marlena: Oh, my gosh. That's what millions of Americans are going through right now. And for our part, we know we did the honorable thing and... there's a price to pay. We knew that going into it. But, John, we are among the lucky ones. We have each other... and they can't get us.

John: That's a fact. So take-out is a bust.

Marlena: Yeah.

John: What are we going to do for dinner, girl?

Marlena: You know what?

John: Hmm?

Marlena: I'm going to make you something special.

John: You're going to cook?

Marlena: I know what you're thinking. It's okay. I don't mind.

John: I'll help you.

Sami: So, um, I kind of want to ask you something. Um, has will been upset around you too? Or is it just me?

Melanie: Uh, no. To be honest, he's been pretty upset since he broke up with Gabi. I mean, you know what happened at Maggie's house.

Sami: Right, right, of course. But... that's what you think it is? His break up with Gabi?

Melanie: Yeah. Well, I mean, he used to be such a sweet guy, you know. Not that he's not a sweet guy anymore. He's a temperamental, sweet guy.

Sami: But that's what it is, right? The breakup? And that happens, I mean, people get upset. And it just takes time, and then... and then you work through it, right? And that's what's going to happen with will. He just needs some time, and then he'll be back to his old self...right? My name is robin.

Nicole: You did good, Mr. Mayor.

EJ: Mr. Mayor?

Nicole: Mm-hmm.

EJ: Goodness. I could get used to that.

Nicole: Well, you keep up the good work, and that title is yours for the taking.

EJ: I know that I couldn't have done it without you.

Nicole: I couldn't do more.

[Both laugh] No, but seriously, I can't--can you believe that we're... here together, in love, after everything that happened to us in the past?

EJ: Yeah. It's certainly been a traumatic year.

Nicole: But worth it.

EJ: Why don't we make a toast? To a new year... a fresh start. Here's to me not being stupid enough to let you go again.

Sami: Can I talk to you for a second, please?

Will: What do you want?

Sami: Um, so I know we've not been getting along well lately, but, um, but I know why now.

Will: Oh, you do?

Sami: Yeah. Look, I'm sorry, I know it's been hard for you since you've broken up with Gabi. And I know I haven't been there for you to talk to me about it. And I-I promise I'm going to do better, okay? I'm going to be a better mom. And I will be there for you. You can talk to me about it any time you want. I love you.

Will: Okay, let's go.

Melanie: You ready?

Will: Yeah, let's go.

Melanie: Are you sure?

Sonny: Well, thank you so much for the food.

Sami: Happy new year!

Melanie: Thank you, happy new year.

Sami: Be safe, kids.

Sonny: Happy new year, we will.

Melanie: We got bottle service.

Melanie: Bye, you guys.

Rafe: Don't drink too much. Crazy kids.

Sami: Mm-hmm.

Rafe: Oh, looks like it's just you and me.

[Sami chuckles]

Rafe: You okay?

Sami: You know, just hard on me, knowing that will's upset at me. And I would hate to think that you were upset at me too. It's all right that I took that job without checking with you? I know I should have talked to you first, but I can't help it. I just...jump first... all the time.

Rafe: And I love that about you.

Sami: Really?

Rafe: Yes. And for the record, I'm proud of you. You were so nervous about that interview, and now look at you-- the mini-mogul.

Sami: Please.

Rafe: No, you are. No, it's great. It's great one of us has a steady gig. But if I don't work I'm going to go crazy. There aren't a lot of options out there-- FBI's out, Salem pd's out. You're not really mad if I work with your sister, are you?

[Knock at door]

Rafe: Hmm?

Sami: Speak of the devil.

Rafe: Yeah?

Sami: [Clears throat] Hey! We were just talking about you.

Rafe: Hey!

Austin: Happy new year!

Rafe: Happy new year.

Madison: That was delicious. Thank you so much.

Brady: You're welcome. Oh, god, I forgot the, uh, forgot the best part. I'll be right back. Mwah! Don't go anywhere.

[Door thuds shut]

[Cell phone rings]

Madison: Hi. Happy new year to you too. Uh, yeah, you know, I have to work. You know me--busy, busy.

[Clinking]

Madison: Yeah, well, I got to get back to it, so, um, I'll talk to you later, okay? Yeah, bye.

Brady: Everything all right?

Madison: Yes, of course.

Brady: Who was that on the phone?

Abigail: You go first.

Chad: No, no. I-I insist--you go first.

Abigail: Okay. Um... well, you know how you were talking about that book on relationships that Austin had?

Chad: Mm-hmm.

Abigail: I've been thinking a lot about that, about what it says. You shouldn't stay with someone out of obligation. If it doesn't feel right, then--

Chad: You should end it.

Abigail: Yeah.

Chad: Like us. You know, things... things just don't feel right... anymore.

Abigail: Yeah. You've noticed.

Chad: Yeah, something's just kind of...

Both: Off.

Chad: It's nothing you did.

Abigail: No, or you. Chad, you've been amazing to me.

Chad: Hmm.

Abigail: It's just my life's really complicated right now, and I'm kind of overwhelmed, and I'm not really sure what to think anymore.

Chad: Yeah, me too.

Abigail: So what does this mean?

Chad: I think it means we should break up.

John: Thank you.

Marlena: Mm. What? For a scary supper?

John: No. For being so...optimistic, understanding. I gave everything away, doc. I gave everything away that we worked so hard to build.

Marlena: I love the choice you made. You're a man of honor and integrity. I love that about you. We'll be fine.

John: See, that's what I'm talking about. But I'm going to make you a promise right here and now.

Marlena: Mm-hmm.

John: I'm going to rebuild basic black.

Marlena: I know. I know what you can do.

John: I know what we can do... together.

Marlena: Ooh. Pirate and stowaway? It's been a while.

Madison: I, uh, called Cynthia to let her know that I am taking the rest of the night off. You're right. I've worked enough for one night.

Brady: I absolutely agree, which is why I've decided we are going to go someplace special. Wait, I thought this was our special place.

Brady: This is a very special place. It's--it's a good room. It's been good to us, but it kind of smells like donuts and coffee, and I want to get out of here. Tell you what, when we plan our wedding, we'll have the ceremony here--how about that? Relax. I'm not going to ask you to marry me. Not yet anyway. Who knows, you know?

Madison: Brady.

Brady: Madison, you are so tense right now, come on. Mmm. We're going out. We're going to have a good time. It's new year's eve. I want to spend it with you. I'm bringing this. I have a jacket. Let's go have fun, what do you say?

Madison: Okay, yeah.

Brady: All right? Come on. Come on, let's go.

Bo: You okay?

Hope: Yeah. Yeah, I just needed some fresh air.

Bo: Mm-hmm. Thinking about Jack, huh?

Hope: Always. People say "time heals." We've had so many new years without him. Does it ever get easier, Brady? Hurt less?

Bo: All I know is we--we need each other to get through this.

Hope: I don't want to just get through it. I want some sort of peace or understanding for both of us.

Bo: I want that too.

Hope: You know, we always talk about seeing someone, talking to them. But you and I, we keep finding reasons not to--'cause of work or John, the DiMeras.

Bo: Well, let's do it. Let's talk to someone.

Hope: I know why we keep putting it off. At least I know why I do. Because it hurts so much-- digging up all of that pain, all those memories. It scares the hell out of me, Brady.

Bo: Scary stuff.

Hope: But if we don't... I'm afraid we'll end up... back in the same place again.

Bo: No, no. We'll talk to someone. We'll do whatever we have to do to stay strong. For Ciara, for Zack. And for us, okay?

Melanie: It's so hot in there.

Sonny: That's because of my amazing hot dance moves.

Will: Oh, god.

Melanie: [Laughs]

Sonny: What? Come on, we got some fresh air. Let's go back in and make people jealous.

Melanie: I'm so done, I'm totally done. Just give me a second, my feet hurt.

Will: Yeah, I don't think I can handle that anymore.

Sonny: What, do your feet hurt too? You know what? Fine. You're both going to miss out on the famous sonny Kiriakis pop and lock.

Melanie: Oh, no, no. Is that a thing?

Sonny: Oh, it is tonight.

Melanie: That's a thing?

Sonny: It is, it is.

Melanie: I am so embarrassed for him. You okay?

Will: Yeah. Mm-hmm.

Melanie: Yeah? Your mom's kind of worried about you. Um, if you need to talk to anybody, I'm totally here for you.

Will: Yeah, thanks. Um, really my mom doesn't know what she's talking about though, so-- and I'm fine.

Melanie: I'm going to go get a drink. Uh, would you like a Shirley temple?

Will: Shirley temple.

Melanie: I'm serious.

Will: Thank you.

[Background noise, music]

[Party horns tooting]

Rafe: So I was just actually telling Sami about our potential business venture.

Carrie: Oh. And?

Sami: [Clears throat] Sounds amazing.

Carrie: Really.

Austin: Sure does.

Carrie: Well, that's wonderful. We're really going to open our own business.

Rafe: Yes, we are, and I say that is cause for celebration.

[Party horns toot, music plays]

Sonny: Hey, will. Look who I ran into.

Tyler: Hey, man.

Will: Hey, uh, Tyler. Good to see you.

Tyler: Yeah. You just missed sonny embarrassing himself on the dance floor. I'm not sure what kind of dance moves these were, but they were hilarious.

Sonny: Yeah? Well, people were not laughing at me, they were cheering me on.

Tyler: Oh, no, they were laughing at you. But, hey, despite your lack of dance moves, there was a really cute guy checking you out.

Sonny: Well, that doesn't matter, 'cause I'm here to have fun. But seriously, which guy was it?

Tyler: Right there in the red shirt.

Sonny: Maybe we could go back in for a little bit. Do you want to come with us?

Tyler: Come on!

Will: No, no. I'm okay.

Tyler: Really?

Will: No, go ahead, go ahead. I'll--yeah, I'll catch up.

Sonny: All right, well, have fun.

Tyler: I'll save you a dance.

Melanie: Okay. Sorry that took so long.

Will: I'm sorry, I-uh, I'm going to go.

Melanie: No, no, no. Why? Why?

Melanie: I'll make it up to you, I promise. I'm sorry.

Melanie: But I got-- it's new year's eve, will. I can't--I'm not going to spend it alone.

Rafe: We're gonna smoke you guys.

Carrie: That's right.

Rafe: Step aside.

Sami: We'll see, we'll see.

Austin: Good luck. 'Cause you're going to need it.

Sami: Bring it.

Rafe: By the way, the category is "movie."

Carrie: Movie, all right. Let's go.

Rafe: You ready?

Carrie: Yes.

Austin: What is that?

Carrie: The rock.

Rafe: That's it.

[Carrie screams]

Sami: What?

Rafe: The rock. The rock.

Sami: What? We get "baby back ribs", and they get the rock?

Austin: No. You're cheating.

Sami: That's not fair.

Rafe: Don't blame the game.

Carrie: No way.

Rafe: We just make a great team.

Sami: Yeah. I see that.

Rafe: Yeah.

Madison: Oh, this is your idea of someplace special?

Brady: Yes, this is special, because you said you loved it, and the food is wonderful. And, most importantly, there's a very special performance here tonight that I kind of wanted you to see.

Madison: Oh.

Julie: Good evening, everybody. Uh, we are so happy that you decided to spend new year's eve here with us.

Doug: Yes. For those of you who do not know, my name is Doug Williams, and this scandalously gorgeous creature in the green sparkle is my wife Julie. And we are going to sing a song for you--a song for the lovers who are with us tonight.

Julie: Yes, and may those lovers have another blissful year together.

Doug: Yes, truly. And now, while we're singing...

Julie: We invite those lovers to dance.

[Small jazz combo playing]

Both: You belong to my heart now and forever and our love had its start not long ago we were gathering stars while a million guitars played our love song when I said I love you every beat of my heart said it too 'twas a moment like this do you remember...

Chad: Abigail. Look at me. I want you to know that I-- I really do care about you. And I hope this doesn't mean that we still can't be part of each other's lives.

Abigail: No. No, it doesn't. Of course not. I care about you way too much for that. We'll be... friends. We'll be great friends.

Chad: Oh, yeah. I guess I should probably... get going.

Abigail: Okay.

Chad: Happy new year's, Abigail.

Abigail: Happy new year, Chad.

John: Hey, kid!

Will: Hey. Um, I'm sorry to barge in on you guys like this. Is it okay if I come in?

John: You never have to ask. Get in here. Come on.

Will: Okay.

Marlena: Hi, there.

Will: Hi.

[Door shuts]

Marlena: I thought you were at the party at Horton square.

Will: Oh, I was, but I, um, I had to leave.

John: You know, I'm going to make some, uh, calls overseas to see if I left any money over there. Um, will, can you keep grandma company?

Will: Yeah.

John: Yeah.

Marlena: Why did you leave the party? Did something happen?

Will: No. No, nothing happened. But I-I'm such an idiot. My life is--is a complete mess! I can't even act normal around my friends anymore.

Marlena: What do you mean by "act normal," sweetie?

Will: I don't know. I don't know, but I can't control my emotions. My life is spinning out of control.

Marlena: Okay.

Will: [Sighs]

Marlena: Do you think you're ready to finally talk about what's going on?

Will: Yeah. Yeah, I think so.

Marlena: Good.

Melanie: "How did you spend your new year's, Melanie?" Well, you spent it alone on a bench... talking to yourself. Super.

Nicole: Oh, hey. Where have you been? I left the bar, I came back, you were gone. Thought I was going to have to watch the ball drop all by myself.

EJ: Oh, no. I'm not missing an opportunity to kiss those lips of yours.

Nicole: Why wait till new year's?

EJ: That's a very good point.

Nicole: Hmm?

Rafe: Well, you guys, thank you, thank you for coming.

Carrie: Thank you for everything. It was so much fun.

Rafe: Have fun at the town square.

Sami: Yes, have a good night.

Austin: The rock, huh?

Sami: Be safe.

Rafe: The rock. Can't handle it.

Sami: It was the worst. I can't believe that! Losing is exhausting!

Rafe: Whoo!

Sami: It's not fair.

Rafe: Tell me about it. Carried my team all night. Back's killing me.

Sami: Oh, really? Is it? Is it killing you?

Rafe: Oh, there you go.

Sami: Can you imagine if we had been a team?

Rafe: We would have crushed them.

Sami: Totally.

Rafe: I mean, no one's going to stand a chance. What's going on there? Expecting a call or something? Looking at your watch all night.

Sami: I was just waiting for the new year, you know? Want it to start fresh.

Rafe: Yeah. New year, old year--doesn't matter. As long as I'm with you.

Sami: I love hearing you say that.

Rafe: I love saying it.

Sami: But I want it to be a new year already, you know? We had so much happen last year, and I'm just ready for it to be over, new year to begin and have it be free of drama.

Rafe: We did have a lot happen. But guess what? I've got a feeling this is going to be the best year yet. I do.

Sami: I love hearing you say that. And I love you.

Marlena: Will, come sit down and take a deep breath for me, okay?

Will: I can't sit down, grandma. I can't breathe. I can't-- I'm--I'm too stressed.

Marlena: Okay. All right. Do whatever makes you comfortable. Okay? I'm right here for you.

Will: Okay. Look, before I tell you anything... you're going to have to swear to me that you will not tell anyone.

Marlena: I promise. You know you can trust that.

Will: Okay. Because I shouldn't-- I shouldn't even be telling you.

Marlena: I can see how much pain you're in. Will, whatever it is, whatever's going on, I'm going to see you through it. You know I will. I promise I will.

Will: I don't-- I don't think you want to hear what I have to say.

Marlena: You're wrong. I do want to hear it. Do you think I'll be--what?-- I'll be horrified? I'll be frightened? No! No, I won't. I will feel such joy and relief that you're finally letting me help you with a problem. What is it?

Will: Mom cheated on Rafe! Mom cheated on Rafe, and I saw her having sex with EJ. ? Progresso. It fits!

Marlena: Will, what are you saying?

Will: I saw... my mom having sex with EJ. She's cheated on Rafe. Grandma, she lied to him! And she lied to you! And she lied to me! She's a selfish slut, and I cannot stand her getting away with it!

Marlena: Listen to me, listen to me. Are you 100% sure of what you're saying? I-I-I know. It just-- it's--it's so difficult for me to believe that Sami would do such a thing, especially after she's renewed her vows.

Will: I know what I saw, grandma. I'm not lying to you.

Marlena: Of course you're not lying to me. And of course I believe you.

Will: Thank you. Thank you. I don't know what to do.

Marlena: I'm so sorry. [Mouths]

Doug: Five...

All: Four, three, two, one, happy new year!

[Cheering, party horns tooting]

Julie: Happy new year! Let's have a song.

Doug: Should

All: Auld acquaintance be forgot and never brought to mind should auld acquaintance be forgot and days of auld Lang Syne

[Guitar plays auld Lang Syne]

[Guitar music continues]

[Guitar music continues]

Madison: That's what I was afraid of all along. Maybe we shouldn't be sleeping together.

Kate: I have a feeling we're going to be unstoppable.

Marlena: Put the animosity behind you, because if you don't, the only person that it hurts is going to be you.
