Rafe: I believe this is the magazine you said you left at the loft.

Carrie: Thank you.

Rafe: Hmm. Well, when you actually called about it, I assumed it was a very important issue...

Carrie: [Laughs]

Rafe: You know, like, "winter's trendiest fashions" or "holiday's hottest fashion accessories."

Carrie: Yeah. Well, I already have this holiday's hottest fashion accessory. Well, truth is that I used the magazine as an excuse to get you over here.

Rafe: Okay. Why?

Carrie: Because we need to talk about something that could affect both of our families.

Quinn: Here to book a massage?

Nicole: Oh, no, thank you very much. I would rather roll around on broken glass.

Quinn: Yeah, we have a room for that. We're also offering a personality-enhancement special... stress reducers, if you're interested.

Nicole: I have zero interest in contributing to your bottom line or keeping this place in business. Besides, do I look stressed?

Quinn: I think you would be, the way you've been working so hard to keep EJ and I at arm's length from each other.

Nicole: It's still too close if you ask me.

Quinn: You know, I'm just curious, uh... what would you do if, uh, someone told you to stay away from EJ? Would you be insulted, or would you think, "hey, that's some pretty good advice"?

Will: Grandma?

Marlena: What?

Will: Doctor, sorry. Hi.

Marlena: You cutie pie, what are you doing out here?

Will: I was on my way to check in on you, actually. I wanted to see how you're doing.

Marlena: I'm okay... under the circumstances. How was your thanksgiving?

Will: It was okay. How was yours?

Marlena: Oh, I went over to Austin and Carrie's. They needed to have me help them cook.

Will: They wanted you to cook?

Marlena: Uh, yeah.

Will: I bet it wasn't much of a holiday, though, without John.

Marlena: No, it wasn't much of a holiday.

Will: I'm sorry. I know that's got to be really tough on you.

Marlena: Thanks, well, that's what I came out here for. I thought I would maybe get some strength from two very strong and solid souls.

Will: Is it working?

Marlena: It's always good to have someone to lean on.

Will: Well, is there anything I can do to help?

Marlena: You could keep me company. How does that sound?

Will: That sounds great.

Marlena: Come on, I'll make you some snacks.

Will: Okay.

EJ: Samantha... I was just about to go looking for you.

Sami: Why?

EJ: Probably the same reason you're here.

Sami: We have a lot to talk about.

EJ: Yeah. We do.

Sami: Look, what we did was wrong-- really, really wrong.

Nicole: Do you want to know why I'm here?

Quinn: Please, enlighten me.

Nicole: I want to make sure that whatever you're doing in this spa is legit.

Quinn: You have doubts about my integrity?

Nicole: I doubt you have any integrity at all. And I just want to make sure that EJ's decision to fund this little new-age venture doesn't come back and bit him in the ass.

Quinn: Don't think it will. We're already turning a profit.

Nicole: Congratulations. And I hope you recognize the insincerity in my voice just now.

Quinn: Look, I'm not here to cause any trouble. I just want to make people feel good.

Nicole: I bet. You should have that engraved on your towels.

Quinn: Yeah, you may not require my services today, but I'm sure you will soon enough.

Nicole: [Laughs] Wow. What does that mean?

Quinn: Oh, well, it's no secret you and EJ are getting closer again. I'm sure that would have even the strongest of women looking for a safe place to hide.

Nicole: Excuse me, but what do you know about my relationship with EJ?

Quinn: Well, come on. Let's not pretend, sweetheart. I mean, I did leave town with your sister. She taught me all about your relationship with EJ-- how you agreed to go another round with the man. I think someone really needs to step in and question your judgment.

Nicole: Well, sweetheart, the day I decide that I need advice on my life from a low-rank criminal, I'll make sure you're the first one I call.

Carrie: Okay, once John pled guilty to the charges against him, there was nothing more I could do.

Rafe: Yeah, well, nobody blames you for that, Carrie. We all know the decision John made was out of your hands.

Carrie: Yeah, well, now this is about more than just getting him out of prison.

Rafe: What do you mean?

Carrie: We need to convince the public once and for all that John was falsely accused and convicted so that we never have to deal with a situation like Johnny's disappearance ever again.

Rafe: You keep saying "we." Are you offering me a job here?

Carrie: Yes, I am. But there's a catch--I can't pay you. My firm's already moved on to the next case, and now that this one is closed, they do not want to go back.

Rafe: I see.

Carrie: And I know that you need a job that pays real money. I get it--you need to support your family, and it's incredibly unfair of me to even ask you--

Rafe: Carrie... stop. You had me when you called about the magazine, okay? Now, this is about family. That's the most important thing to me.

Sami: For a split second this morning, I woke up, and I had convinced myself the whole thing was a horrible nightmare. And then it all came--came rushing back to me-- everything, that what we did was... real.

EJ: Yeah... it was.

Sami: [Sighs] God. I don't know how I let that happen. I mean, Rafe was out there. He stood by me. He found my son. He brought my son back to me. And what was I doing? I was here, betraying him in the worst possible way, with you. [Sighs]

EJ: Yes... we did a terrible thing. But, Samantha, there really isn't any point in dwelling on it.

Sami: What am I supposed to do?

EJ: Move on, my dear. Put it behind you.

Sami: I can't just do that.

EJ: Oh, yes, you can.

Sami: [Sighs] Johnny was at home, smiling and laughing and happy, and Rafe put his arms around me and told me that everything--that everything was gonna be okay, that the worst was over with. And all I could think about was that I was here with you. Rafe loves me, and he was kind and--and caring, and if he knew...

EJ: Ah, see, but he won't, will he?

Sami: You just don't get it. You don't understand what yesterday meant to me.

EJ: Yesterday was sex, right? Yesterday meant nothing.

Sami: It means everything to me. I did exactly what my mother did. I hated her for years for what she did. That night she slept with John changed my entire life, and I swore I would never--I would never do that, I would never be a woman like her. And now I am exactly like her.

EJ: Samantha, please, listen to me. You're overreacting. Nobody saw us. Nobody has any idea of what happened between the two of us.

Sami: I know. I know what kind of person I am, and I know that Rafe deserves better. He deserves better than me.

Carrie: And you don't think Sami will have a problem with this?

Rafe: Oh... [Laughs] Look, we both know that Sami has a complicated relationship with John and your mom.

Carrie: Yeah, that's an understatement.

Rafe: But this is about family, and I know what that means to her, and if there's a way that I can try and help things out, I have to try.

Carrie: I am so relieved to hear you say that.

Rafe: Well, yeah. And listen, I know the reason that John changed his plea to guilty was so that he could stop this insanity--the insanity that led to the shooting, to Johnny's disappearance. And for him to do that to protect his family, completely selfless.

Carrie: Thank you. I mean, that's why I cannot stop fighting for him, not after everything he's done for us. But you still need to provide for your family, and if I can't pay you, then--

Rafe: Carrie, Carrie, Carrie... stop. I will find a way to provide for my family and to help you with this case. You got my word.

Carrie: Thank you.

Rafe: All right.

Carrie: Um, okay. Shall we get to work?

Nicole: Hey, wow, watch where you're going.

Patti: I could say the same for you.

Nicole: You're Patti Stanger.

Patti: You know my work?

Nicole: Well, everyone knows you're the millionaire matchmaker, but, actually, we met before, at the dedication ceremony.

Patti: Oh, that's right-- EJ DiMera's. I remember we had that interesting conversation-- "mixing business with pleasure."

Nicole: Yeah, I don't really remember that--there was a lot going on that night.

Patti: Hmm. I'm sure there was.

Nicole: Well, it was great running into you. Bye.

Patti: Aren't you working for EJ right now?

Nicole: Yes, uh, I'm in charge of P.R. For his campaign for mayor.

Patti: [Chuckles]

Nicole: What?

Patti: Nothing. It's just that I know that he was quite taken with you. He couldn't hide it, at least not from me.

Nicole: Yeah, that's not why he offered me the job.

Patti: Come on, this is what I do for a living.

Nicole: Okay, yeah, but aren't you being a bit presumptuous?

Patti: Well, there's also the fact that I called EJ last week with a potential date.

Nicole: Yeah, and I gave him the message.

Patti: But he never called me back--strange.

Nicole: Yep, strange.

Patti: Come on, Nicole, we both know you didn't give EJ that message. Is there a reason you're keeping EJ all to yourself?

Marlena: Hummus not good enough for you? You want the baby food?

Will: Oh, yes, please.

Marlena: Popcorn, come on.

Will: Can I ask you a question?

Marlena: I think you mean... "may I ask you question?"

Will: Yes, may I ask you a question?

Marlena: Anything, yes.

Will: Okay, um... do you know why John decided to plead guilty, when we all know that he did nothing wrong?

Marlena: Well ,what I sorted out was he just wants to protect his family.

Will: No, I get that, but he has to know that you didn't want that.

Marlena: Well, yes, he did know that, but sometimes people do things that it's difficult to understand, even though we know them very well.

Will: Yeah, no kidding.

Marlena: It seems like you're trying to sort out something. What's going on?

Will: What?

Marlena: Well, there's clearly something weighty going on, and you're reluctant to talk about it. Sometimes, I don't know, popcorn helps you loosen up your tongue.

Will: Oh. [Sighs] As I get older, I'm making changes to support my metabolism.

Nicole: Of course I passed along the message. Why wouldn't I pass along the message?

Patti: Really?

Nicole: Okay, you know what? Fine, you caught me. I didn't pass along the message. Look, the truth is, Patti, EJ and I have been--we have been doing this dance around each other for a while now.

Patti: And you want to see where it's going?

Nicole: I thought I knew where it was going. You have no idea--no idea--how toxic our relationship was before and--and all the things we did to hurt each other.

Patti: But that's in the past. You two are on the brink of a brand-new future together.

Nicole: Yeah, but-- [Sighs] You are amazing, you know that? You are.

Patti: What does EJ say?

Nicole: Well, he... he swears that he's changed, that he wants things to be different between us now.

Patti: And you don't believe him?

Nicole: I want to. Oh, man, I want to--I want to believe it, but... I mean, I would have to be criminally insane to ever believe that EJ would change again. Okay, why don't you give me your professional matchmaking opinion here, okay? Am I crazy to ever trust that guy again?

Carrie: Okay, so I've kept a log of all the locations where the prosecution claims these transactions were made and a counterlog of John and Marlena's whereabouts since they left Salem.

Rafe: Uh, which pile is what?

Carrie: Oh, um, this is the prosecution--oop.

Rafe: Sorry.

Carrie: No, it's all right. This--this desk is too small. Let's--let's move over there.

Rafe: Okay.

Carrie: Oop, we need that. Let's bring that over.

Rafe: All right, so you're saying, even with all this, the only thing that can refute the prosecution's timeline is our guy from the clinic in Switzerland, yes?

Carrie: Yeah, unfortunately.

Rafe: Okay, where's our witness now?

Carrie: [Sighs] Once John decided to plead guilty, he left Salem.

Rafe: Yeah. Okay, you're telling me he went back?

Carrie: Mm-hmm. His testimony would have been enough to produce reasonable doubt if this case went to trial, but now that John has pleaded this out, we need to find real physical evidence to get the case looked at again. What are you thinking?

Rafe: No, it's--I don't know. Something about this picture's always bugged me.

Carrie: Oh, I-I've stared at this for hours. I can't find anything.

Rafe: That's it. Oh, my God, that's it. That's--right there, look.

Carrie: What? Where?

Rafe: Okay, look. Look at the shadows in the background, okay? You see that? Look, see how they're long, as though it was taken in the afternoon?

Carrie: Yeah, so?

Rafe: Look at John's face. There are, like, no shadows, like the picture was taken midday. Look!

Carrie: Oh, my God! [Gasps] You're right. Rafe, do you know what this means? If we can prove that, we would tear a giant hole in the prosecution's case.

Rafe: Uh, yeah, not to mention it would help us prove the fact that he's been set up from the very beginning.

Carrie: [Laughs] This is amazing. Oh, my goodness, those shadows-- I never would have seen that.

Rafe: I can't believe I didn't see that before.

Carrie: Okay, Rafe, before we go any further, we have to talk about something.

Rafe: What?

Carrie: Well, you sort of avoided answering before. How do--how do you think Sami is going to feel about the two of us working together like this?

Marlena: Sweetie, I'd never put you on the spot. We just haven't had any time alone together.

Will: Oh, I mean, you've had a lot to deal with, and if this is about the letter I wrote you--

Marlena: Well, it is. You talked about having some issues going on, things you were trying to work through on your own. Look, it's your call, but sometimes it helps to get those things out in the open.

Will: [Sighs] Okay, well, um... the thing that I was trying to figure out was about Gabi.

Marlena: What about Gabi?

Will: I don't know. I mean, um... I was just wondering about our relationship and if the feelings I have for her are like the kind of feelings that she has for me, and if our relationship is even real.

Marlena: Well, those are normal questions, especially for somebody your age.

Will: But it doesn't have to do with my age. [Sighs] I've been thinking... I don't even want a relationship.

Marlena: You mean with Gabi?

Will: With anyone.

Marlena: Really? What's that about?

Will: I don't--it just seems pointless to me. You know, I mean, sooner or later, things get messed up, and they end, badly.

Marlena: Honey, I'm just a little curious why you think that's so.

Will: Okay, well, look at my mom's relationships, okay? They've all failed. My dad? Brandon? Austin? EJ? And now--okay, now she's with Rafe, who is so good to her. He's so good to her, and he's so great for her and for all of us, and she doesn't even deserve him.

Marlena: Wow. Why do you think that she doesn't deserve Rafe?

Sami: Rafe kept it together the whole time Johnny was missing. He never lost his cool. I totally fell apart, and he was there for me and will... all of us. And I blamed him... made him think that if anything happened to Johnny, I would... never forgive him. And then when we found out about that little boy's body, I asked him to go. And he did. And then I show up here. I don't know how to ever forgive myself. I don't know how to live with myself for what I have done.

EJ: Samantha, would you just listen to me?

Sami: No. No, I'm not gonna listen to you.

EJ: Samantha, listen to me.

Sami: Don't touch me.

EJ: You need to tell me what you are thinking, young lady.

Sami: [Scoffs] I hate you.

EJ: You can hate me all you like. I don't really care if you hate me. What I care about is whether you plan on telling Rafe about what happened between the two of us. Samantha! Are you going to tell Rafe we had sex? When it comes to getting my family to eat breakfast,

Sami: I don't know how I could keep this from my husband. I mean, maybe I could explain it to him in a way he'd...

EJ: In a way he'll understand?

Sami: Understand.

EJ: Samantha, he's never going to understand. Do you understand? I don't understand.

Sami: Go to hell.

EJ: I never wanted this to happen, Samantha, okay? And for God's sake, the worst thing--the worst thing--that you can do is to drag this out into the light of day. And I'm telling you right now, I am not going to allow you to jeopardize my relationship with Nicole just because you feel this need to unburden yourself.

Patti: When you talk about your past, you say it's something you don't want to repeat?

Nicole: I-I can't. I can't repeat it. That's the difference. I cannot put myself through that again.

Patti: How do you explain that?

Nicole: I don't know. I don't know. It doesn't make any sense. I-- [Sighs] You should hear him. He is so convincing... the way he says he wants things to be better with us. And I'm so terrified that I'm actually willing to believe him. I know better!

Patti: The heart wants what the heart wants.

Nicole: [Scoffs] So you're saying my life's a cliché? Awesome.

Patti: [Sighs] You know, I have clients that are selfish and truly not ready to commit.

Nicole: Yeah, I know. I've seen your show.

Patti: But those same clients, when they meet the right girl... that's when they commit, and everything changes.

Nicole: So you think this could be the real deal?

Patti: He lost you once.

Nicole: Twice.

Patti: I don't think he wants to lose you again.

Nicole: I told him I loved him.

Patti: Did you mean it?

Nicole: [Chuckles] Yeah. How stupid am I, right? I confessed my feelings to the one man who hurt me the most in this world.

Rafe: I really don't think that Sami's gonna have a problem with the two of us working together.

Carrie: You don't?

Rafe: No. Look, we're adults here. Correct? Well, why should it become a situation between us?

Carrie: I just don't want to lose track of what's really important here, which is John's freedom.

Rafe: I agree. But even Austin's come around, right? Didn't he tell John he thinks he's innocent?

Carrie: Yeah, once John decided to plead guilty to protect his family, Austin finally saw that there was more to this case than just the evidence.

Rafe: Mm-hmm. Oh, and you don't think that Sami feels that way?

Carrie: Am I wrong?

Rafe: Well... when Johnny went missing, some issues did arise... past problems between John and her mom.

Carrie: And she lashed out at you too, right?

Rafe: Yeah, she--she may have said some things that... she wishes she hadn't to the three of us.

Carrie: Is she still upset?

Rafe: I think so. I think she's just having a hard time forgiving herself... all the more reason she would want to make it up to John and Marlena.

Carrie: Hmm. Well, I don't know if she's gonna see the two of us working together as a way to do that.

Rafe: Well, like I said before, this is about family. And I know how she feels about family, and John is part of her family. If she has an issue, I'll... I'll talk to her.

Carrie: I hope she'll listen.

Rafe: Trust me, everything's gonna be fine. This is not gonna be a big deal.

Marlena: Will, why would you say that Sami doesn't deserve Rafe?

Will: Okay, forget it. You know, I didn't mean it the way that it sounded.

Marlena: Well, honey, what did you mean?

Will: It means I'm--I'm-- I'm there at the loft, so I know what goes on. I see things that other people don't.

Marlena: Are you saying there are problems there?

Will: No, I'm saying it's my mom being my mom. And Rafe is such a good guy that sometimes it's--it's impossible not to think that she's taking advantage of him!

Marlena: Advantage how?

Will: She needs that drama! She needs the drama and Rafe doesn't! Y-you know. You saw how she went after you when Johnny was missing. And I know--you said that it was okay, but I do not agree.

Marlena: I-I realize that. Honey, the relationship between your mother and me is very complicated.

Will: Okay, all her relationships are complicated.

Marlena: Yes--yes, I understand that, but our relationship--even though it's upsetting and complicated--we love each other very, very much, and she has a good reason to be angry at me.

Will: Oh, really? I have good reason to be angry at her!

Marlena: Why? Tell me what she's done.

Will: [Breathes deeply] Okay. You know I went to live with Austin and Carrie because I couldn't live with my mom anymore. I could not stand the things that she and my dad would do to each other.

Marlena: I thought that was all ancient history?

Will: Well, so did I, but... now...[Sighs] Okay, I'm--I've never been in a serious relationship before, and I'm just afraid that I'm going to do the same thing. I'm gonna hurt Gabi.

Marlena: Your relationship with Gabi is yours. You affect it, nobody else. So, if you choose that you want to have a wonderful, loving relationship, that's exactly what you're gonna have.

Will: That's what I've always wanted... something real, you know? To be with somebody who I... I know that I can trust no matter what.

Marlena: And that's exactly what you're going to have. You might not have it with Gabi, but you'll have it with somebody just as wonderful.

Will: Maybe.

Marlena: Trust me, will. I mean, trust me... for me.

Will: I will... for you. Sure. I just don't want to be like my mom.

Rafe: Sorry to cut this short.

Carrie: Oh, it's okay. You had no idea what I was gonna rope you into when I called, so... big plans tonight?

Rafe: Uh, well, you know. Sami's been through the wringer the last few days.

Carrie: She sure has.

Rafe: Yeah. So I want to get him before she does and do something nice for her, you know? Let her know I love her.

Carrie: I'm sure she knows.

Rafe: Yeah, well... never hurts to hear.

Patti: You know, I haven't been able to find the perfect match for EJ.

Nicole: What about that date you were gonna set him up with?

Patti: Oh, she turned out to be totally unsuitable. You did EJ a favor.

Nicole: Well, I'm glad to hear it.

Patti: And I haven't been able to find a replacement.

Nicole: Is that unusual?

Patti: For me? [Scoffs] Yes.

Nicole: Well, they never said finding love was easy.

Patti: I think the reason is, is the perfect match is right next to me. And I think EJ knows, Nicole, that you are the perfect match.

Nicole: Is that your professional opinion?

Patti: It is. You know, it takes a lot of guts to follow your heart, but from the moment I met you, girl, I knew you had a lot of guts. I'll be seeing you around.

Nicole: Patti... for what it's worth, thank you.

Patti: My pleasure.

Sami: You're worried about Nicole? Are you serious?

EJ: Yes, very.

Sami: Oh, my God.

EJ: Samantha, I've spent weeks trying to convince her that I've changed. I want a relationship with her, and I want it to work.

Sami: I don't have time for this.

EJ: I love her. Samantha, I see the opportunity here to have an incredible relationship with her--very similar to what you have with Rafe.

Sami: Don't you dare compare my marriage to Rafe to your whatever it is that's going on with you and Nicole. I thought you were getting a divorce.

EJ: I've worked very hard to convince her to give me a second chance--the amount of doubt and mistrust that I've had to erase in her mind.

Sami: Why bother?

EJ: Because... I have never wanted anyone or anything as much.

Sami: Am I supposed to feel sorry for you?

EJ: Nicole doesn't need a reason not to trust me. If she finds one, this whole situation will be over. And I don't mean in the short term--I mean permanently over. Maybe--maybe that's what I deserve, but I know this... I would struggle to survive without her. And you know how that feels, don't you?

Sami: Just stop it.

EJ: If Rafe were to find out what you did... your marriage would be over. Samantha, you would hurt him far more than you would help yourself by easing your guilty conscience.

Quinn: You're that matchmaker from TV, aren't you?

Patti: I am.

Quinn: Maybe you can help me out.

Patti: Really? Are you looking for love?

Quinn: Or the perfect woman-- whichever comes first.

Patti: Hmm. What kind of women do you like?

Quinn: Ah, successful, smart, sexy, funny, independent, blue eyes, beautiful California tan.

Patti: Nice try, cutie, but you're not my type.

Quinn: I'm a little hurt. There's no way I can get you to reconsider?

Patti: You enjoy playing the bad boy, don't you?

Quinn: Yeah, but who says I'm playing?

Patti: Look, I won't deny there's a place in the world for bad boys like you. Lord knows women fall for this crap every day. But just be careful.

Quinn: Careful of what?

Patti: Those broken hearts-- one day they're gonna catch up with you.

Quinn: I'll sleep with one eye open.

Patti: You bad boys are always so smart.

EJ: Samantha... I need to know what you're going to do.

Sami: You don't know how much it kills me to be here with you right now. What we did is sickening, and if Rafe ever found out...

EJ: He would never forgive you, just as Nicole would never forgive me.

Sami: I couldn't care less about you and Nicole. All I'm thinking about is Rafe. And I love him too much to hurt him. And if he ever found out... it would hurt him.

EJ: So... we're in agreement, then? No one need ever know.

Sami: No one will ever know.

Marlena: You know, will, your mother has made a lot of mistakes in her relationships...

Will: Huh.

Marlena: And that doesn't mean that you're going to. You can't think that. You'll sabotage yourself

Will: Yeah, you're right.

Marlena: I know. You found a wonderful girl in Gabi, and you are a wonderful young man. You--look at my face--you are a wonderful young man, and you will treat her exactly the way she's meant to be treated.

Will: [Exhales deeply] Man, I'm sorry. All I'm doing is bashing my mom, and I'm not--I don't mean to.

Marlena: I know that. I know. You know, Sami has made mistakes in her relationships--that's true. She's made plenty of them. But you know what else is true? She's gone into every single one with the best of intentions.

Will: That didn't stop her from messing up, though, did it?

Sami: W-what are you doing?

Rafe: Well, with everything that's happened the last few days, I thought we needed this. What? I just want to show my wife how much I love her. I had enough of feeling embarrassed about my skin.

EJ: There you are! I was just about to call you. So how soon can you be packed?

Nicole: Uh... well, that depends on where we're going and how long we're staying.

EJ: New York city. I thought we could catch some dinner and a show. I, uh, have a suite at the plaza overlooking the park.

Nicole: That's a bit sudden, don't you think?

EJ: You're not going to say yes? Oh, come on. Don't tell me you're having second thoughts.

Nicole: A little, yeah.

EJ: Why?

Nicole: [Sighs] EJ, look, I've heard what you've said, a-and you heard what I said, but I-I'm just... I'm still holding back.

EJ: You're afraid of getting hurt.

Nicole: Aren't you? We still have a past, and that's... that's putting it kindly. We can't just forgot about everything that's happened.

EJ: Okay, but if that's how you feel, though, why are you still here?

Nicole: Because... of this. Because of that moment.

EJ: What--what moment?

Nicole: In the police station... when Gus threatened my life... and I just couldn't help wondering what it would be like if I never-- if I never saw you again... if I never felt your arms around me or... kissed you. [Sighs] You know what? I'm just gonna say it, and I am never gonna take it back again. I do love you, EJ.

EJ: You okay with that?

Nicole: [Sighs] I think it's a mistake... but what can I do? The heart wants what the heart wants.

EJ: If it makes you feel any better...

Nicole: [Laughs]

EJ: I love you. And I made a promise to you that I was going to be a better man. I'm going to live up to that promise, Nicole. And you didn't make a mistake, okay? Loving me is not a mistake.

Nicole: [Laughs]

Marlena: You're right about Rafe. He is a wonderful man. He sets a very good example of how to love somebody.

Will: Yeah. Yeah, he does.

Marlena: And Sami loves him very much. Will, it's a strong relationship. They're solid. There's no reason to worry about that falling apart.

Rafe: Sorry it's not ready yet. It's sort of a last-minute idea.

Sami: Oh, you didn't have to do any of this.

Rafe: Yes, yes, I did. You know why? Because I want you to know how special you are to me. You know, not a moment goes by, actually, when I'm not thinking about you. [Laughs]

Sami: Ditto.

Rafe: Yeah? Oh, by the way, I also went ahead and made you an appointment for a massage for tomorrow at that new place that they put in the square.

Sami: Rafe.

Rafe: Until then, I'm hoping you can enjoy the simplicity of this candlelight dinner-- hopefully with our children-- hey, hey, what's-- why the face? I haven't even burned the dinner yet. It's still--it's browning.

Sami: I don't deserve this. I don't deserve you.

Rafe: Honey, honey, honey, would you stop saying that? Of course, you do.

Sami: I love you. I love you so much. I love you so much. If I ever lost you--

Rafe: Oh, my God. I love you too. You're not gonna lose me. You are not gonna lose me. You know what? You're stuck with me... no matter what.

Sami: Oh, God.

Hope: A letter addressed to Gran.

Jennifer: Who's it from?

Bo: Susan banks.

Brady: I don't want to say good night.

Marlena: What happened to your friend?

Jack: I couldn't do anything.
