Bo: You know what? John's trial hasn't even started. You know how much time we have wasted on the phone with angry investors and those crazy reporters?

Hope: Yeah, it's a wonder we can get any work done at all.

Abe: Mm. I know what you mean.

Bo: It's like the whole town has decided he's guilty. That's not right.

Lexie: No. No, it's not. I mean, but can you blame people for being angry? They've lost their investments, their pensions...

Hope: Their future.

Lexie: Yeah.

Abe: And after all the evidence we've seen, it's hard not to point the finger. You know John's my friend. And I back him 100%. But I also sympathize with all those other victims. They're innocent too.

Lexie: Yeah.

Bo: I understand why Rafe did what he did. With the injustice in this particular case, it's about time one of us went out on a limb to give him a fair trial.

Abe: Be careful, Bo. It's a fine line between helping a friend and going too far. You don't want to end up like Rafe. You better watch yourself. One misstep could cost you your job.

Sami: [Groans] Okay, okay. Shoe goddess, wherever you are, please help me find my shoes before I completely lose my mind. [Sighs] This place is a pigsty. [Sighs] [Groans]

Rafe: [Chuckles] Sami.

Sami: What? Oh. Oh, thank you, god. Where'd you find it? Oh. Ooh, it's cold!

Rafe: Yeah. I think Allie needs to quit playing dress-up in the... kitchen.

Sami: Yes, I will be sure to remind her that she has to put the shoes-- okay, okay. She has to put the shoes next to... the eggs, and not the closet. Maybe it's the other way around. I got confused. But I'm gonna get yelled at. Oh, no. No. Mm--Madison is gonna chew me out 'cause I'm late.

Rafe: No, you're not.

Sami: I'm so late.

Rafe: No, no, no. You are not gonna be late 'cause I got everything you need, okay? Listen, I got your coffee right here.

Sami: Okay.

Rafe: Your keys. The report that you were working on.

Sami: Are you serious? You did all this for me, and you took the kids to school?

Rafe: Please.

Sami: You're my hero.

Rafe: Come on. You're the one who finished the report and got 'em ready to go. And listen, if I'd have known it was gonna be so crazy, I would have never left in the first place.

Sami: You had to do it. You had to 'cause you're getting the want ads, and you're gonna get a job, right?

Rafe: Yeah, I know, but it's not fair. I shouldn't leave you here to have to do it all, all alone.

Sami: Hey, it worked out great. Austin actually helped me. He had to get ready, too, so...

Rafe: Yeah, no, of course. Yeah. Why wouldn't he be up? He actually has a job to get to.

Kate: I am telling you, that woman is such a bitch.

Stefano: Katherine, you're going to have to be a little more specific. You could be talking about anybody in this town.

Kate: Madison James. I'm telling you, if I were a weaker woman, I would have wrung her neck.

Stefano: Darling...

Kate: No, no, no, no. I-I know what you're gonna say. It's not even necessary. Believe me, if I wanted her taken care of, I would take care of her myself.

Stefano: But that's not what I was going to say.

Kate: Meeting up with those bastards at titan, you know, that took a lot of nerve. But she is not the only one who should be on guard. Victor and Brady, they have another think coming if they think that I am just going to drop this. Oh, my god, I cannot believe I gave them the opportunity to work with me. With me! And you know what they do? They look at my business plan just long enough to get their grubby little fingers on everything they needed. Oh, man. Man, I could sue them. I could sue them for everything they've got. And believe me, I'd win. I would. But you know, a lawsuit is not good enough. No, no, no, no. I want them to know exactly what it means when you mess with Kate DiMera. [Sighs] You have nothing to say?

Stefano: I will as soon as you calm yourself.

Kate: Calm mys-- [Laughing] Cal-- Victor and Brady are coming directly at me.

Stefano: Katherine... what is the first rule of business? Never...ever... tip your hand.

[Door clicks open]

Madison: Uh-- [Stammering] May I help you?

Brady: Don't be so formal.

Madison: Excuse me?

Brady: Henry Egan? He's not the corporate type. He, uh, is more of a peace, love, rock and roll kind of guy. Mention his dog Clementine, and he'll double the order by, uh, probably tomorrow morning.

Madison: I think I made myself clear. I don't need you to tell me how to do my job.

Brady: Take it easy. I'm just being helpful, that's all.

Madison: I would think the CEO of titan industries would have more pressing matters to attend to.

Brady: Anything that involves a titan investment is pressing to me.

Madison: I see. Okay. As long as you're here, do you mind if I ask you a personal question?

Brady: Personal? Please do.

Madison: Why is it every time I turn around, you're in my face, annoying the hell out of me?

Brady: Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but I, uh-- yeah, I own Mad World cosmetics, which means I have the right to hang out in my office and annoy the hell out of anybody I want to.

Madison: You might own the company, but I am the one who built it from the ground up and made it what it is today, with no help from you.

Brady: Congratulations on that. I admire that, actually. But that doesn't change the fact that I am the boss. And you have to go through me on everything.

Madison: No. No, actually, I don't. I think I made it abundantly clear that I run the day-to-day operations. I make all of the decisions. In fact, I happen to have a copy of the contract that we both signed right here, if you need a little refresher.

Brady: Nope, don't need a refresher. I know the contract in and out.

Madison: Okay. Then why are you here? You know what, Brady?

Brady: Hmm?

Madison: If you're so desperate to be part of the day-to-day workings of this company, I actually might have an opening that you would find interesting.

Brady: Really?

Madison: Yes. There's an opening for an assistant. How would you like to apply to be my assistant?

Brady: I would love to. Where do I sign up?

Sami: Are you serious? Come on. Please tell me that you're not still mad about Austin. You agreed that--

Rafe: No, no. I'm not mad. I'm just used to having a reason for getting up in the morning and, uh-- you know, a purpose in life, like--

Sami: Hey, your purpose is taking care of me. Making me coffee, getting my-- I'm kidding. Stop overreacting. You're gonna be fine. It's been, like, two days. You're gonna get a job.

Rafe: You're right. You're right. I'm totally overreacting, right? Hello! Of course I'm gonna get a job. Just acting crazy. Damn it! The milk's empty. Who does that? What-- Austin. Austin.

Sami: Oh, come on. It wasn't necessarily Austin. It could have been one of the kids.

Rafe: Yeah. Well, it's all right. I'll just--I'll eat my cereal dry. You better go.

Sami: Okay. Okay.

Rafe: Really? A wet towel. Come on.

Sami: Look, I can't explain it, okay? He never used to be a slob. That's for sure. Carrie's a bad influence on him. You know what? It's only for a couple days. Okay? He'll be fine. He'll get out of your hair in no time, and... I'm gonna help you clean up. Right now. Right now. I'll help you clean up. We'll get this straightened out. You'll be fine.

Rafe: Sami, Sami. Get to work. Go. I'm good.

Sami: Are you sure?

Rafe: Yes. Absolutely. Go.

Sami: Okay, okay. Well, listen. You call me as soon as you get a job, okay? 'Cause you're going to. And if they don't hire you on the spot, they're idiots. And today is your new boss's lucky day.

Rafe: Oh, isn't it? Sure is. I love you.

Sami: I love you too.

Rafe: All right.

Sami: Okay. Okay, I'm late.

Rafe: Go get 'em.

Sami: Okay.

Rafe: Sami.

Sami: Yeah. Oh.

Rafe: Go get 'em.

Lexie: [Laughing] I-I can't believe it. I mean, Daniel is Maggie's biological son?

Hope: Yes.

Bo: Yeah, sure looks that way.

Lexie: Huh!

Abe: And Maggie had no idea?

Hope: Daniel either.

Bo: None.

Hope: He didn't know. He's having a hard time. Pretty much thinking his whole life was a lie.

Lexie: Yeah, well, I can relate to that. How's Melanie taking it?

Hope: Well, at first, uh, she was shocked. But ultimately, absolutely thrilled. Hey, Maggie's always been like a grandmother to her. And now she really is.

Lexie: Wow. Wow. I mean, they're so lucky to have found each other.

Abe: Yeah, but lucky you two figured it out.

Lexie: Yeah. How were you able to do that?

Hope: Well, uh... while Bo and I were at Gran's house a couple of weeks ago, we found a stack of foreign bank statements dating back 20 years, and...

Bo: Well, the--the statements show money coming in, going out, with no indication who's making the withdrawals.

Hope: Actually, you know what? We were looking for more information about the bank account, but instead, we found a letter Gran had written to Maggie.

[Cell phone ringing]

Abe: Oh, excuse me. Oh, yeah, I'm gonna have to take this. Pardon me.

Lexie: Okay. Ooh, well. This--this is just unbelievable. I mean, Daniel is Maggie's son, and Alice had this secret bank account.

Hope: I know. It's crazy, isn't it?

Lexie: Yeah, yeah.

Hope: I mean, it's like Gran had this whole other life that I didn't even know about. It's making me nuts.

Lexie: Yeah, I know.

Hope: You know what? I need to find out where those bank statements lead.

Abe: Well, I am sorry about that. That was my new publicist confirming a meeting.

Bo: Did he just say, "publicist"?

Hope: I think he said, "publicist."

Abe: Yes, I did. You know, I can honestly say that she's worth every penny. Uh, actually, hope, you might know her.

Hope: Who?

Abe: Your cousin Jennifer.

Hope: Are you serious?

Bo: Jen?

Hope: Jen's your publicist?

Bo: Changed careers again.

Hope: Abe, you're gonna love working with her--she's great.

Abe: I know.

Lexie: Ooh, honey, uh, we'd better get a move on if we want to make that lunch date.

Abe: Yeah, I wouldn't want to miss that. Sorry, guys. We're gonna have to run.

Hope: Oh.

Bo: Okay.

Abe: We are having an early lunch with my opponent's father.

Both: Stefano?

Kate: Sorry about the rant. It's just--that woman and Brady and Victor are driving me crazy.

Stefano: I know, darling, but you know, if you let them get the best of you, it will do you no good.

Kate: I know. You're right. You're always right. I should not have-- no, I should not have shown my hand before my play.

Stefano: Ah. Sweetheart, look. Don't blame yourself, all right? I mean, it's only natural that you have such a strong reaction. But... we both know what the next step should be, hmm? You simply shuffle the cards, and you deal again.

Kate: Mm.

Stefano: Ha, ha, ha, yeah. [Chuckles] Something tells me you've already done that, huh?

Kate: Ahhh, yes. Yes, I have a move in place. Madison and her whipping boys are going to pay for what they did to me.

Stefano: Good, good, good. Good. Ah, yes, I can't wait to hear it. Mwah! Oh, Katherine. I'm really very proud of you. Yeah. I love to eat. I love hanging out with my friends.

Lexie: Thank you.

Abe: Mm-hmm.

Lexie: Okay, against-- against my better judgment, yes, I accepted my father's invitation. He sounded so sincere and pleasant on the phone, you know? I-I couldn't say no.

Bo: I don't think I've ever heard the word "pleasant" used to...[Grunts] Describe Stefano DiMera.

Abe: Or "sincere". And yet, somehow, I got roped into this.

Lexie: Okay, he is my father, after all, all right? I mean, I--

Abe: [Clears throat]

Lexie: What harm could come from a casual lunch?

Bo: What harm? Stefano's gonna be there, right?

Hope and Lexie: Bo.

Hope: Okay, stop, okay? Honestly, really. Maybe Abe... and Lexie really... will enjoy Stefano's-- okay, it's not-- are you not buying it? Okay, um, I'm with him. Something's not right.

Lexie: I--

Abe: You know, I think has has everything to do with the election.

Bo: Or John's case?

Abe: Maybe. But at least this will give me an opportunity to scope out the opposition and actually see what the DiMeras are up to.

Stefano: Brilliant.

Kate: Do you mean that?

Stefano: No, no, no. It's absolutely perfect. I wouldn't change a thing.

Kate: My love, I really, really appreciate that.

Stefano: You know what? This calls for a toast.

Kate: Now, come on. Not before noon.

Stefano: It's noon somewhere.

Kate: [Laughing] All right, if you insist.

Stefano: Okay. Now. To my lovely... clever wife, Katherine... who devised the most dastardly plan in Salem's history.

Kate: Oh, you're so very sweet. And to Madison, Victor, and Brady. May they never see it coming.

Stefano: Salute.

Kate: Salute.

Rafe: Let's see.

[Sighs] Assistant... clerk... librarian... head of securit-- head of security. Yes, hi. This is Rafael Hernandez. I'm calling about the head of security position I saw in the paper. No, I've--I've never worked security detail, but I was an agent in the FBI, and I was recently employed as a detective at Salem P.D. Stan? Yeah, I know Stan. Stan the man. [Chuckles] Oh, my--yep. That sounds like the Stan I know. Yes, he's a-- yeah. Oh, absolutely. I'm available to interview anytime.

Madison: Actually, I take it back. You wouldn't cut it as my assistant.

Brady: Oh, really? Why is that?

Madison: Because I'm a perfectionist, Brady, and you just don't have what it takes to live up to my standards.

Brady: I might surprise you, Madison.

Madison: Oh, would you?

Brady: Yeah. I mean, uh, I get the feeling you don't really know me as well as you think you do. 'Cause there's a hell of a lot more to me than just the model good looks and the Greek god physique.

Madison: You're humble, too.

Brady: I don't know if you noticed.

Madison: Uh-huh. You know what I noticed? You might be kind of attractive if you weren't such a jerk.

Brady: So what--did--you think I'm attractive?

Madison: I did not say that!

Brady: You said, "I think you're attractive," is what you said.

Madison: I did not say that.

Brady: By the way, Madison. You're blushing. A lot.

[Door crashes open]

Sami: I'm sorry! I'm sorry I'm late. I didn't mean to-- [Gasping for breath] Oh. Oh! Oh, god. Uh... I'm sorry if I was... interrupting something.

Madison: Oh, no, you didn't.

Brady: You didn't at all.

Sami: Ha.

Stefano: Well... [Chuckles] I hope everybody enjoyed their amuse-bouche.

Abe: Let's cut the crap. What's the real reason for this lunch?

Stefano: Can't a man simply enjoy some quality time with his daughter and son-in-law?

Abe: Not if that man's you. So let's have it.

Lexie: Sorry. I'm with Abe on this one. What's going on?

Stefano: All right. [Clears throat] To be honest... there are two topics that I would like to touch on. First... I had absolutely nothing to do with John's predicament.

Abe: And why should we trust you? You've manipulated and tortured John before.

Stefano: But you should trust and believe me because I am telling you the truth. The same as I told Marlena the other night when she so rudely burst into my home.

Lexie: You don't know how much I want to believe that, father.

Stefano: Well, you should. [Claps] I'm ready for the next course. What do you say, huh? If you don't mind, we can continue this conversation in the dining room, huh? And you, darling, would you be so kind as to lead the way?

Kate: Of course.

Stefano: Good.

Kate: I would love to do that. Come, my love.

Stefano: Thank you, darling.

Rafe: I-I don't understand. Why are you placing an ad in today's paper for a job that doesn't start till the spring? No, I'm actually looking for a job now. Hi, I'm calling about your construction job for the roofer I saw in the pa-- it's already been filled. That's great. Hi, I'm calling about the painter position. Nails? Painting nails? What do you mean? Oh. [Chuckles] I see. No, no, no. No, that's-- well, what does it pay? The job. The one listed online. Do you speak English? Hi. I'm calling about the nanny position. No, I don't need a nanny. I need a job.

Sami: Hey. Here's your report.

Madison: Thank you. Okay. Looks good.

Sami: Great. Yeah, I'm sorry again about being late...and not knocking.

Madison: Sami, come on. Seriously? There was nothing going on. You work here. Barge in anytime you like. I've gotta run. Uh, I've got to give a design change to the contractors for the new showroom. Brady. Always good to see you.

Brady: Madison. Well, uh, I, uh--I need to get back to work.

Sami: Brady, could I talk to you for a second?

Brady: Yeah, yeah, what's up?

Sami: So I obviously didn't imagine what I just walked in on.

Brady: Excuse me?

Sami: Look, it's not the first time I've come in on the two of you doing "nothing." Something's going on. Are you sleeping with her?

Brady: Sami Brady, what are you talking about?

Sami: Come on! I saw what I walked in on, all right?

Brady: Leave it to you to dramatize a perfectly innocent moment. Unbelievable.

Sami: That was hardly innocent.

Brady: She needed advice about a shipping order. I gave her some help. That's it.

Sami: I may be new to the company, but I know that Madison does not ask for advice.

Brady: Fine, she didn't ask for my advice or my help.

Sami: So why are you here?

Brady: I'm keeping an eye on my investment.

Sami: That's not the only thing you're keeping an eye on.

Brady: Sami, I know that you have a wild imagination sometimes, okay? So I'm gonna let that one slide.

Sami: I'm not blind, Brady. I know what I saw, and I'm asking you not to do this.

Brady: What are you talking about?

Sami: Interoffice dating. Bad idea.

Brady: Interoff--who-- who the hell said anything about dating? What are you talking about?

Sami: All right, whatever it is you have in mind with her and obviously she has with you. I mean, I can see that she's interested in you too.

Brady: Sami, Sami, Sami, you are way off base. Way off base.

Sami: No, stop it. Stop it, Brady, okay? I was in the room the other day with the neck massage and all that sexual tension creeping me out. I mean, it was icky.

Brady: I'm sorry that you thought it was icky, okay? But we were testing a product.

Sami: Well, it failed, okay? Failed. Please. This is important to me. This is my job. I need this. Please leave Madison alone.

Bo: Well, at least carrying these boxes up and down the steps is giving us a good workout.

Hope: Thank you so much for agreeing to do this with me again. I mean, I know that we've been through these boxes a million times, but I just have a feeling that maybe there's something we've overlooked.

Bo: Like what?

Hope: I don't know. I mean, I don't even know what we're looking for. But those bank statements have to lead to someone.

Bo: Maybe they have something to do with Mrs. H. Hunting down Maggie's child.

Hope: But Daniel didn't know anything about them. Maggie either.

Bo: Yeah, good point. And that account is still active, with money being deposited and withdrawn every-- every month.

Hope: Yeah, I just don't understand it. I mean, we've got to be missing something.

Bo: Yeah.

Hope: But what?

Bo: Yeah, good question.

Hope: Here, let's look in here.

Bo: I'm in here.

Kate: Wow, I am so full. I hope you enjoyed the meal.

Lexie: Yeah, yeah, it was wonderful. Thank you.

Stefano: Yes, indeed. And I want to thank my wonderful wife for picking out one of the most delicious... sugar-free...

Kate: Yes.

Stefano: Desserts.

Kate: You're welcome, love. Mwah!

Abe: You know, uh, enough of these pleasantries. You said you had two things you wanted to discuss. One was John. You never got around to number two, so what is it?

Stefano: In a hurry, are we?

Abe: Well, as enthralling as this is, I do have things to do.

Stefano: All right. [Clears throat] [Sighs] First... there is, uh, something... that I would like to recommend to you. And I-I feel that you should really take it very seriously. I want you to drop out of the race for mayor. Dad! Not now, buddy.

Brady: Sami, you think I'm going to ruin this company and your life. Wow, that's--that's big. That's dramatic.

Sami: This is serious for me, Brady. Please. If you date Madison and then it doesn't work out, what happens to Mad World? What happens to-- [Sighs] Come on. With your track record? It's not exactly like your relationships don't end in disaster, Brady. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. No offense. But Madison isn't good for you, and you are not good for Madison.

Brady: No offense taken, Sami. But you've lost your mind, okay? There's nothing going on with Madison and me. Our relationship is strictly professional, you got it?

[Door clicks open]

Sami: Okay.

Madison: Sami. Can I speak to you a minute? Alone.

Hope: [Groans] [Sighs]

Bo: Ah, I was hoping I'd never have to see this again.

Hope: What's that? What is it?

Bo: Sheesh.

Hope: [Laughs] Look at you, baby face.

Bo: You know, I appreciate an embarrassing stroll down memory lane as much as anyone, but we can only go through these boxes a certain number of times.

Hope: Yeah, well, for now, this is all we've got.

Bo: No, it isn't. We could talk to Mrs. H's lawyer again. She was able to help us before. Maybe she could point us in the right direction.

Hope: You know, you're probably right, but I'm telling you, my gut says something is here amongst these boxes.

Bo: [Sighs] Okay. If your instincts say the mystery's gonna be solved by going through these boxes, we keep digging through these boxes.

Hope: Thank you, Brady.

Bo: Mm. We're in this together, okay?

Hope: Okay.

Bo: No matter where this road takes us, we have each other.

Lexie: Of course. I knew it. I knew you'd pull something like this. You couldn't possibly be interested in a normal lunch with your--your daughter and her husband.

Abe: And I've had enough of this. Come on, Lex.

Kate: No, no, no, no. Don't--don't leave. It's not at all what it sounds like.

Lexie: Oh, no. My--my father wants my husband to drop out of the race so that his precious Elvis can become mayor. It doesn't get any clearer, Kate.

Stefano: Alexandra... please. Let me explain. All right, Abraham, I realize that we have had a conflicting relationship, all right? And we don't always see eye to eye.

Abe: Get to the point.

Stefano: All right. The point is, even with our disagreements, okay, I have always respected what you have done for this community. You are a real public servant.

Lexie: Yes, something EJ will never be.

Stefano: So I thought, with this in mind, that you could do much more for the people of Salem. You understand? I mean, all you need is a job that's a little more-- how do I say? Uh, prestigious. Say, uh... governor. Ah. I mean, if you give me permission, I wouldn't mind pulling a few strings. Look. The governorship suits you, Abraham. All right? Think about the paycheck, for goodness' sake. Think about the prestige. And I know that you'd do a hell of a lot better job than that incompetent idiot that we have there now. And I am thinking about Theodore. I realize that his special needs are very, very costly.

Lexie: Okay, you stop it. You stop it right there. I can't believe you're trying to manipulate my husband so that EJ can become mayor.

Stefano: Ugh.

Lexie: Well, it won't work.

Abe: You know, Stefano... I find this all very telling. It shows how desperate you are. You know damn well that EJ doesn't stand a chance of being elected mayor on his own.

Stefano: On the contrary... I think Elvis is going to be Salem's next mayor. In fact, it's you I'm worried about.

Lexie: Oh, please.

Stefano: No, truly, honestly. I mean, it just upsets me to know that you'll be out of a job. I want to do what's best for my grandson, all right? Without any conflicts in the family. Hey.

Brady: I should get going.

Sami: Madison, I'm really sorry that I was late. I wanted to make sure that report was--

Madison: Sami, stop, okay? I don't care that you were two minutes late.

Sami: Okay, uh, then what is it that you wanted to talk to me about?

Madison: Look. I realize that we've known each other since we were little kids, and we get along great, but when I hired you, Sami, I wasn't looking for a friend. I certainly wasn't looking for a therapist. I hired you to be my junior executive. Nothing else.

Sami: And I really, really appreciate the opportunity.

Madison: Oh, good! Well, if you value your position at this company--ok

Sami: I do.

Madison: Then keep your opinions to yourself, and stay out of my private life.

Sami: Okay, so you heard me talking to Brady. Madison, look, I was just looking out for you.

Madison: Okay, well, don't. I don't need you to. I can take care of myself. I'm really disappointed in you, Sami. I thought that you were smarter than that. I thought you were more... astute.

Sami: God, you're firing me, aren't you?

[Phone ringing]

Rafe: Rafe Hernandez.

Bo: Hey, man, it's Bo.

Rafe: Oh. Hey, Bo.

Bo: [Scoffs] Don't bust a gut with excitement or anything.

Rafe: Oh, no. Uh, sorry, I just-- I was actually hoping it might be someone who was gonna give me a job.

Bo: Any luck?

Rafe: None. So how's life at the station? Any new leads on John's case?

Bo: Oh, you know, pretty much the same. Don't worry about John. He's in good hands. You just focus on yourself and finding a job.

Hope: Tell him to call acme security.

Rafe: I did. It was a bust. Just like everything else.

Bo: Well, you hang in there. Um, there's a perfect job waiting for you under some rock someplace.

Rafe: Yeah. So what's up?

Bo: Oh, I just was wondering if you needed a letter of recommendation.

Rafe: Yeah. Uh, actually, that would be great, thanks.

Bo: Oh, not from me. Hope would write it. I don't like you much. I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Rafe: Okay, Bo. Thanks.

Lexie: Father, I have tried harder than you can imagine to see the good in you. But... ugh!

Stefano: Sweetheart, I don't want to hurt you. All I want is happiness for my family.

Lexie: Oh, yeah, your family. Your family. You--you preach about the importance of family. But when have you ever put any of us first, father? I mean, you are completely selfish.

Stefano: How can you say that? Everything I do is for you.

Lexie: Mm. Right, right. The lies, the--the stealing. The murder. That's all for me. Thanks. Thanks. Glad to know I mean so much to you, father.

Abe: Honey... I think we should leave.

Lexie: No. No, not until he apologizes for--for even thinking that you would consider such a ridiculous proposal!

Stefano: All right, let us not have a misunderstanding here. Because I never did anything to sabotage or get in the way of Abraham, all right? When Elvis told me the first time about his plans for running for mayor, I was very, very proud. And then boom, it hit me that if he runs for mayor, how upset you are going to be, and I would have to intervene. That is the only reason--the only reason that I suggested your husband run for governor. I thought it would be a win-win situation for everybody.

Lexie: Oh, yeah, win-win, right.

Kate: Lexie, he's telling you the truth.

Stefano: Look, all I want is my family to be happy, okay? That is all that means to me.

Lexie: [Sighs]

Stefano: This mansion, money, prestige means nothing! In the end, the only thing that counts is family.

Lexie: If what you are saying is true-- if family means everything to you-- know this. Undermining my husband will make you extremely unhappy.

Stefano: You are making a terrible mistake.

Abe: Is that so?

Lexie: [Sighs] Good-bye, Kate. Don't call me!

Stefano: [Groans]

Kate: Well, every family has their ups and downs.

Stefano: [Chuckles] You're so right. But she'll get over it.

Kate: I hope so.

Stefano: And Abraham will see the light. I just hope that it's not too late for Alexandra. Sweetheart.

Kate: Yes?

Stefano: What do you say? Come. Let's go see if the cook has any more of that delicious...

Kate: Sugar-free?

Stefano: Ah-ha! Come on.

Kate: My love, come, come, come, come. Yes, yes.

[Pen scratching]

[Phone ringing]

Rafe: Hello. N-- no, I'm not interested in-- n-- well, let me ask you a question. N-- no, seriously. Uh, how--how do you like telemarketing? Is it-- hello? Hello? Fine. Didn't want to talk to you anyway. Jerk. Damn him.

Madison: Sami... I'm not firing you. You're a hard worker. You're an asset to the company. I'd be crazy to let you go.

Sami: Thank you.

Madison: Having said that, from this point on, you're going to keep your opinions about my personal life, my relationships, or my lack thereof totally to yourself. Understood?

Sami: Absolutely.

Madison: Good. Now, I need you to run these contracts over to the contractor really quick because I forgot to hand them to him. Can you do that?

Sami: Yes, of course. I'll go do it right now. Okay, thank you. Um... Madison, one more thing, and then I promise I really will butt out of your personal life.

Madison: Sami.

Sami: Just-- Brady breaks women's hearts. He'll break yours.

Bo: All right. Nothing in this one.

Hope: All right, well, we've just got to keep looking. Look at every photo, every piece of paper.

Bo: Aw, come on. Can we at least take a break? My tumbly's grumbly.

Hope: I'll feed you in a little while. Just--let's just keep at it a little while longer, okay? Please?

Bo: [Groans] Okay.

Hope: Wait a second.

Bo: What?

Hope: Do you remember anything in here?

Bo: Well, this.

Hope: These are photographs. What's this here?

Bo: Here's one of you.

Hope: I just found something.

Bo: What?

Hope: It's a picture of a baby.

Bo: How'd I miss that?

Hope: I don't recognize the baby, though. Do you?

Bo: Nope. Uh, could be Daniel.

Hope: No, Gran didn't get that far in her search. There's absolutely no resemblance.

Bo: Ah. Mrs. H. Spent a lot of time at the pediatrics ward in the hospital. You know, those parents kept sending her pictures of their kids. Maybe that's who it is.

Hope: Yeah. Yeah, you're probably right. All right, keep looking.

Bo: Ah, here's one of you. [Chuckling]

Bo: Will you marry me again?

Hope: I would marry you again.

Bo: I better march you down the aisle before you change your mind.

Hope: This is the marriage that will last forever.

Bo: Yeah.
