Jennifer: Hey. Hey. I want to, uh, thank both of you for coming here. I really wish there was a better way to do this.

Jack: To do what?

Daniel: You gonna let her finish?

Jennifer: You know, I wasn't even sure that this was worth pursuing, because the thought of dating both of you, it is completely absurd.

Jack: Exactly.

Jennifer: And it's pointless. It's completely pointless if we're not all on board.

Daniel: Well, I got my ticket.

Jack: Ah. As I see no other options, so do I.

Daniel: Oh, so I guess the question is, uh, how do you feel?

Jennifer: Actually, I've made my decision, too.

EJ: As you are my clients in this class action suit, I will be looking to find the money that was stolen from you by this corrupt corporate parasite. Furthermore, I will be seeking to attach John Black's personal assets to any settlement, and most importantly, there will be restitution. My priority being the return of every cent that was taken from you as a result of this fraud. What John Black has done is not only unconscionable, it is also felonious, and for that, he will have to pay.

Marlena: Oh, Lexie, let me take your coat.

Lexie: Thank you.

Abe: You know, John, I'm guessing you saw the TV interview with EJ.

John: Mmm. He looks more reptilian on TV, if that's possible.

Abe: [Laughs] I hope I didn't come off as unsupportive when they were asking about your case.

Marlena: Hey, are you kidding?

John: You went above and beyond, Abraham. You're a good friend.

Abe: EJ's not running away with this election. Not if I have anything to say about it.

John: Well, I appreciate that, but as you know, EJ's gonna use my situation to bludgeon you in the campaign.

Lexie: Oh, don't worry, we have no illusions. I know my brother far too well.

John: I'm just telling you, the smart move is to distance yourself from me, because if I'm found guilty, your chances of winning this election...shot to hell.

Bo: Sorry we had to take off like that before.

Victor: Everything's all right, I hope.

Hope: Yeah, everything's fine, we just had to follow up on a lead on John's case. Maggie, I'm sure you're still trying to process all of this. I know it's probably the last thing in the world you ever expected to hear, that somewhere out there you have another child.

Maggie: I keep reading Alice's letter over, trying to make some sense out of it.

Victor: If only she'd had time to finish the letter before she died.

Maggie: There's just so much I don't know.

Hope: You must be going crazy.

Maggie: I'm crazy, yes. I have so many questions, that's for sure. [Sighs] But if there is a child out there somewhere, most of all I need to know if he or she is okay. [Sobbing] So please would you help me find my child?

Bo: We're here to do just that.

Hope: Finding your child is our first priority.

Victor: You have my help, as well, whatever resources you need.

Maggie: Thank you, all of you. It's just so hard, knowing that I have a child out there that I've never met.

Hope: Maggie, is there anything you can tell us that might help?

Bo: Anything at all, no matter how insignificant it might seem to you.

Maggie: [Sighs] Well, hmm. Like Alice said, some of my eggs were harvested, but Sarah, she was a gift and a joy...and so then we thought that maybe with all this new technology available, that maybe--maybe we could have our own child together.

Hope: I'm so sorry, Maggie.

Maggie: Suffice it to say, that didn't happen. Anyway, afterwards the clinic, they saved the eggs that we didn't use, and I guess I never gave up hope of using them someday. Anyway, I got a call that the clinic had been sold, and they needed to know what to do with the eggs that were stored, and I actually had a choice--I could get rid of them or destroy them, or be kept at a medical facility somewhere.

Bo: And you opted to keep them.

Maggie: Oh, Bo, if there's a chance.

Hope: All right, then that's where we start. Do you remember the name of the facility?

Maggie: Oh, better yet, I have the papers. I have them, I have them upstairs!

Jennifer: Uh, I know that this is crazy, [Laughs], And I really can't even believe that I am saying this... but if you are both on board, and if you are really sure, I am willing to give this a try.

Daniel: Well, I'm sure of--is that I want you to be happy.

Jack: Whatever it takes.

Jennifer: I mean, I really can't even believe that I'm gonna go through with this, but I can't figure out anywhere else to go from here.

Daniel: Well, I think the next stop will be crazy-ville, so let's just face it. I mean, this is a very unusual situation.

Jennifer: Yeah. Jack, listen to me. We--we were so in love, and everything changed, everything just got so out of whack, and I'm not really sure we're going to be able to get back that trust that we had. Do you hear me?

Jack: I'm not givin' up this chance to prove that we can, to prove that we can be stronger than ever. I won't.

Jennifer: Daniel. We were just--we are just starting to find out what's had for us, and I love you, and you are a wonderful man, and you have been so good to me, you have never hurt me. That's why it doesn't seem fair to make you be in the middle of this whole--

Daniel: No, hey, wait, you're not makin' me do anything. No. No, I love you. I'm not just gonna walk away from the woman I love. Not gonna happen. Even if I do have to, um, share you.

Jack: For a while, anyway. Look, I might as well just say this, because we're all thinking it, that sooner or later, when this little exercise is over, one of us is gonna end up with a broken heart.

EJ: And let me assure you again, I'm not gonna rest until you are all fully paid. Now, there is one more thing that you need to know. I believe you'll find this to be particularly good news.

Abe: Not another word, buddy, we're with you all the way, politics be damned.

Lexie: That's right. Friends don't desert friends in times like these.

Marlena: And you are amazing friends. We adore you.

Abe: Well, that's a, um, end of story, period, exclamation point, next paragraph. We're all in this together.

Lexie: Yeah, I just can't see how my brother can sleep at night, exploiting John and all those victims, just for political gain.

Marlena: [Scoffs] Oh, my gosh, speak of the devil. Look, they're covering the story.

Reporter: [On television] In a surprise move, mayoral candidate EJ DiMera has released a statement regarding his class action lawsuit against John Black and Basic Black enterprises. He's vowed to take the case pro bono, which means his clients will receive 100% of any judgment made in their favor.

Abe: Well, if they didn't believe in the S.O.B. before, they sure will now.

Nicole: EJ, look at this.

EJ: Mm-hmm.

Nicole: Come here, look. Uh, look, now, these are just preliminary polls, all right? We'll get more detailed results in a few days, but we have so much to work with here. I mean, look how your approval rating has gone up.

EJ: My goodness, that's incredible. What's this?

Nicole: Uh, those are your demographic groups that you are trending with particularly well.

EJ: Oh, well now, wait a second, what's this line mean? You know, I'm not polling quite as well amongst this potential group of voters--why is that?

Nicole: Well, that's--that's politics, EJ, okay?

EJ: Okay, Nicole, could you possibly extrapolate on that a little bit, please?

Nicole: Yes, I can. Okay, despite your lawsuit, and your strong presence on TV, there are just a lot of people in Salem that still associate your name with your criminal activity. Sorry, you're just never--you're never gonna win every vote, I'm sorry.

EJ: You know, Nicole, I would think you would know me well enough by now. Never say never to me.

Abe: Look, we can't lose hope. Now EJ may have made a big splash early on, but people are not gonna easily forget what John's done for this town.

Marlena: No, that's right. John, your reputation speaks for itself.

Abe: You know, it's still early in the campaign. I'm gonna have plenty of opportunities to rebut what EJ's putting out there about you.

John: Not sure what it's gonna do, Abraham. You can't discount the anger that's out there, it's real, it's tangible. People have lost their life investments, their retirement funds.

Marlena: Yes, but John, you are innocent.

John: It doesn't take a lot of work to make an enemy out of someone like myself, who wears a suit and tie to work. I'm an easy target.

Marlena: That isn't who you are. That is the opposite of who you are. You are wonderful to your employees, you are one terrific boss.

John: Damn it, folks, people think I stole money right out of their pockets! I can't tell them not to be angry, not when they have every right to be.

Jennifer: You're absolutely right, someone is going to end up getting hurt. And that is why I had to think long and hard before I even agreed to trying this, Jack.

Daniel: Well, being alone in love is far worse than this plan, so without it, we all get hurt, guaranteed.

Jack: At least this way, two of us have a chance that we'll get out of this thing happy.

Jennifer: Jack, it is not that simple. If either of you get hurt, I'm hurt, too.

Jack: It's not if, Jennifer, it's when. So I guess we're all on board, then.

Daniel: Looks that way.

Jack: Well, I'd just like to be clear that I'm trying to be broad-minded here, but it's going to be very difficult for me to think of my wife out with another guy.

Daniel: Ex-wife.

Jack: Wife.

Jennifer: Wait a minute, see what's happening? Already there's resentment and suspicion. We can't do this. If this is gonna happen, we have to have ground rules, okay?

Maggie: I have a few things here. I left most of the stuff at the house, but I'm sure there should be something in here that... this is it. That's it. I'll make the call.

Hope: Actually, you know what? It might help to have a police officer on the line to cut through the red tape.

Maggie: Oh, yeah, good idea.

Hope: The number's been disconnected.

Maggie: Oh. Well, so now what do we do?

Jack: Ground rules.

Daniel: Ground rules. It might work.

Jack: Like a system.

Jennifer: No. Not a system. This is crazy, this is not gonna work.

Jack: No, no, no! Not like a system. No, that makes it sound like a-- like a--

Jennifer: Like a system.

Jack: Like a system. A...system.

Daniel: All right, okay, here's the idea, we split the week up.

Jack: No! No, that's--there's seven days in a week.

Daniel: Yeah, that's what they tell me.

Jack: No, no, it's uneven. One of us is gonna get shorted. Who's gonna sort it out? Who's gonna keep track?

Daniel: Okay, we alternate.

Jack: [Gasps] [Sighs] What do you think, Jennifer?

Jennifer: Um, I--

Daniel: Okay, you now what? Let's just figure this out, see if it'll work first, before we get all--

Jack: But then we're gonna have to figure out what constitutes a day, right? So let's just say, I have my day with Jennifer. Is that the whole day, or is it just some arbitrary time in the afternoon? Or if someone, one of us chooses dinner dates, that someone could be shorted over the course of the week, as opposed to someone who takes the whole day. You see what I'm saying?

Daniel: Where's the fairness in it?

Jack: Exactly.

Jennifer: Will you stop it, both of you? This is ridiculous, it sounds like I'm some kind of commodity, some thing.

Jack: No, no, I'm sorry.

Jennifer: No, don't be sorry, just stop. Just stop, this is insane.

Victor: You okay?

Maggie: Hmm. This is my life we're talkin' about here. My child's life.

Hope: Don't you worry, we're gonna track him down. This is our job.

Bo: Looking at a database of businesses in and around Salem. Should be here.

Maggie: Anything?

Bo: No. This doesn't make sense. Even if they went out of business, it should be right here.

Maggie: What do you think it is? I mean, why aren't they?

Hope: Wait a minute.

Maggie: What is it, Hope?

Hope: The address. This block's been a vacant lot since well before the dates on this paperwork.

Maggie: Well, I don't understand--what does that mean?

Hope: Meaning it's starting to look like this company never existed...that the whole thing possibly was a sham.

Maggie: So what happened to them? What hap--what happened to my eggs?

Nicole: You see that line right there? That steep, Black line that just goes down, down, down? That's the voters' response when Abe voiced his support for John Black.

EJ: These things are very specific, aren't they?

Nicole: Do you see that line right there? That is the voters' response when they learned that Abe spearheaded the efforts to get John Black out on bail.

EJ: Hmm. It's a bit like abstract art, isn't it? Except it's supposed to make sense. It's beautiful, anyway.

Nicole: How's that for irony, though, you know? Abe put his integrity on the line, thinking he's doing the right thing, and you would imagine that people would respect it, right? Admire his loyalty?

EJ: Hmm? Uh, yeah. Except obviously they're doing the exact opposite. [Clears throat]

Nicole: Exactly.

EJ: Right, well, let's hope he stays loyal to John Black. It might cost him his job.

Marlena: There you go, second piece.

Abe: [Laughs]

Marlena: This is so nice.

Lexie: Yes, it is. Thank you so much for having us over for dinner. [Gasps]

Abe: Mmm.

Lexie: And cooking! I mean, you went to so much trouble.

Marlena: Well, it wasn't that much trouble.

Abe: Well, it's delicious. Mmm.

Marlena: Yeah.

Lexie: Yeah.

Marlena: I'm glad you like it, you just sound a little bit surprised.

Abe: [Laughs]

Lexie: [Chuckling] Well.

Abe: I plead the fifth.

Marlena: Okay, I ordered out...

Lexie: Oh!

Marlena: But I did pick up some cooking tips while we were in Europe.

John: Yeah, we spent a lot of time indoors. [Chuckles] Kind of like now.

Lexie: Oh.

Abe: [Laughs] Well, I gotta tell you, Lexie and I have been so busy, that eating together anytime, anywhere is just a luxury, and we--we really do appreciate this.

Lexie: Yeah.

Abe: Hey, um...

Lexie: Oh.

Abe: Here's to spending more time like these with dear friends.

Marlena: Hmm.

Abe: And next time, Lexie and I take you out.

Lexie: Yes, yes, to celebrate Abe's inauguration as mayor.

Abe: [Chuckles]

Marlena: Oh.

John: Yeah, I like the sound of that.

Lexie: Uh-huh.

Abe: Mmm.

Marlena: You have not sounded that optimistic since we got back to Salem.

John: I just appreciate the support of my friends and my beautiful wife.

Lexie: Aw.

Abe: [Chuckles] And life is good.

Marlena: Life is good.

Lexie: Yes, and the future's going to be better.

Marlena: Oh.

Abe: [Laughs]

John: Thanks for reminding me of everything we have to be grateful for. Here's to optimism.

Marlena: To optimism.

Lexie: Hear, hear!

[Glasses clink]

John: Mmm.

Abe: Mmm.

[Glass shatters]

[All shouting at once]

Abe: Get down. Stay down, stay down! Okay, you okay?

Lexie: Yes, yes, yes, yes.

Abe: All right, all right.

Lexie: Oh, my God. [Whimpers]

John: [Sighs] Nice note. "Die thief!"

Abe: You know, we're too high off the ground--that brick must have come from the building across the street. Maybe a parallel floor, or a little bit higher.

John: Well, maybe they're still out there.

Abe: Yeah, yeah, you know what? I'm gonna take care of it. I'm gonna go get the guard right now, we'll check it out. Hopefully we'll catch whoever did this.

John: Are you ladies all right?

Marlena: Yeah, we'll be fine.

Lexie: Yeah, just a little shaken, that's all.

John: I'm sorry.

Marlena: There's no need for you to be sorry, John.

John: I'm gonna call Carrie, tell her what happened.

Lexie: You sure you're okay?

Marlena: Oh, I'll get there. I'm more worried about him. He's just been through so much, trying to get on his feet again, and now this. All this trouble, these lies, the's almost too much for anybody to take.

Lexie: How is he handling it?

Marlena: Look at him. He's a tower. You remember what it was like before we left Salem.

Lexie: Yeah.

Marlena: I think he still has some effects from that.

Lexie: What do you mean?

Marlena: Well, just sleepless nights, terrible nightmares.

Lexie: Since the arrest.

Marlena: No, since before that.

Lexie: Oh. Well, what do you think it is?

Marlena: I'm not sure, it could be the medication that he's taking now, or I'm afraid that--

Lexie: What? What is it?

Marlena: It-- I'm afraid it could be something far worse.

[Cell phone rings]

Nicole: Hello?

Patti: Nicole, it's Patti. Patti Stanger, The Millionaire Matchmaker.

Nicole: Yes, Patti, of course. Uh, is there something I can do for you?

Patti: No, but there's something I can do for you. I've got great news.

Nicole: Oh, you do?

Patti: Yes, is it true you're in charge of EJ's P.R. campaign for mayor?

Nicole: Yes, I am.

Patti: Well, I'm gonna make your job a hell of a lot easier. I just fixed EJ up with the perfect girl. Beautiful, brilliant, these two are so gonna hit it off, and if I play my cards right, I bet she's gonna be the first lady of Salem.

Nicole: Wow. That is great news.

Patti: Well, be a doll, make sure when he comes in that he calls me immediately. I've got to fill him in, I've got to get this thing started.

Nicole: Oh, of course.

Patti: Thanks a million!

Nicole: You're welcome.

EJ: What did I miss?

Nicole: [Clears throat] Nothing much.

EJ: Come on, you were on the phone with somebody.

Nicole: Uh, yes, it was about those detailed poll results. I'm pushing to get them ASAP, Because I know how eager you are to see them.

EJ: Very good.

Nicole: You know, EJ, I am no political strategist, but I do have to say that you really are benefiting from the immediacy of all of this. You know? I mean, it's amazing how you're staying on top of the 24/7 news, and--

EJ: We.

Nicole: Right.

EJ: We are staying on top of it, okay?

Nicole: Right, but with your announcement of the lawsuit, and then the news that you're taking the case pro bono, it's--

EJ: Right?

Nicole: Yeah.

EJ: Okay, but we need to find a way to just keep this momentum going forward, you know.

Nicole: You took the words right out of my mouth.

EJ: We need to find more opportunities. I mean, Abraham gave us this incredible one when he declared his support for John Black, and now, whatever he does, either he stays with him, or he backs away, we can use that.

Nicole: Well, we can always make him out to be a flip-flopper.

EJ: Or tone-deaf to the needs of his constituents. The possibilities are completely endless. My poll numbers are just gonna soar.

Nicole: [Laughs]

Jennifer: I mean, do you realize how crazy this sounds? I'm expecting you to break our charts and graphs, like you have this prize, and and you try to split it up, see how you can share it. Me.

Daniel: Hey, you're right. The truth is, you are a prize.

Jennifer: Daniel.

Daniel: No, in every sense of the word.

Jack: Uh, nobody's thinking of you as an object. At least I'm not.

Jennifer: Good, because it will get you nowhere.

Jack: Good, because what I want, what we want is just--

Daniel: You.

Jack: You. You.

Jennifer: And we've barely started, and it's beginning to feel like a competition.

Jack: That's because... it is.

Maggie: Oh, this just doesn't make any sense.

Victor: We'll make it make sense.

Maggie: Maybe it's the address, maybe it was wrong in the paperwork. Maybe the facilities used a different name to get their business license, and that's why it's not in the database.

Hope: You know, listen, I think there's an angle here we're not exploring.

Bo: Erin Hewitt, the lawyer--

Hope: Yeah, exactly, she's the one who led us down this path, and, well, she's got to know where Gran got her information, right? In fact, come to think of it, she probably even knows that we hit this road block.

Bo: Yeah, so we're gonna go pay her a visit.

Hope: Yeah.

Bo: Get some real answers.

Maggie: So will you keep me in the loop?

Hope: Are you kidding? Absolutely, of course.

Maggie: Thank you. Thank you.

Hope: We're gonna get to the bottom of this.

Maggie: Okay.

Hope: Okay? We'll be back soon.

Maggie: Yeah, right.

Hope: Victor.

Bo: Talk to you later.

Maggie: Okay. Okay.

Lexie: Anything?

Marlena: Did you find anything out?

Abe: Bad news, whoever did this got away.

Lexie: So what do we do now?

Marlena: Yeah, what if this escalates?

Abe: That's why we beef up security.

Marlena: By doing what? Putting bars on the windows? Then it will be a virtual prison.

Lexie: Well, you and John could move to a more secure location.

Abe: I'm not sure the judge would approve it.

John: Not a chance. This is our home. I'm not running.

Abe: Look, this isn't about you, John--it's Marlena, too.

John: Well, trust me, she's the only one I'm thinkin' about, but going someplace else isn't the answer. It's time to be proactive.

Marlena: So what are we going to do?

John: I'm not running, and I'm not gonna hang my head in shame. I'm gonna make a statement to the public.

Jack: We're wordsmiths. We're sorting things out. That's what we do, that makes things more palatable, because there's really no word that really sufficiently describes what we're doing.

Daniel: You're really not helping.

Jack: Um, look, Jennifer, we both know that you hate being in the middle of this. We know that you hate the idea that one of us is gonna get our heart broken, but what seems so overwhelming now won't be overwhelming once we figure it out.

Daniel: Okay. Uh, you know, he's right. This is new, we're all a bit at sea here.

Jack: Without a paddle, seeking guidance, structure...a handbook, as it were, if you will.

Jennifer: A handbook?

Jack: Yes.

Jennifer: That makes me think of, like, sweaty football coaches, Jack, poring over their plays.

Jack: Ugh.

Jennifer: Don't call it a handbook.

Jack: Uh... look, I think--I think we're all just focusing on the minutiae here because we really don't want to face the bigger issues.

Jennifer: The bigger issues, what?

Daniel: Yeah.

Jennifer: What are you talking about?

Jack: All right, um... must I say it? I'll say it if I will-- have to, it's, uh, one little word. Okay... I'm talking about sex.

Victor: I am sorry you have to go through all this.

Maggie: I'm elated, I'm frustrated, I'm blindsided, and I'm numb.

Victor: I'm sure you are.

Maggie: I trust Bo and Hope, and I do believe that they can find something out for me, and then I don't know.

Victor: Sit, please. Try and calm yourself down.

Maggie: I can't. There's just too much to take in. All those secrets in--in Alice's letter, and now this mystery company, this company that was supposed to safeguard something so precious to me, and instead--

Victor: I know, but you can't let all these unanswered questions eat at you from the inside.

Maggie: But it's a-- it's a child. It's--how would you feel? I mean, it's my child. For a minute I thought I was gonna find out something. It was supposed to be the most joyous moment, but it's the not knowing that makes it so--

Victor: So?

Maggie: [Sobs] Honestly I can't tell you. I can't say the word, about how I feel. I can't. [Sobs]

Erin: Sorry to keep you waiting.

Hope: I'm sure you know why we're here.

Erin: Well, let's just say, I've been expecting to see you again.

Hope: Then I assume you know we found documents from a medical storage facility that apparently never existed.

Erin: Detective Brady--

Hope: Mrs. Hewitt, please, we would really like some answers here. We have about 100 questions between us, but the most important one... we told my Aunt Maggie that, somewhere out there, she has a child. We promised that we would find him or her, but right now, we don't even know where to begin looking.

Bo: But you do.

Hope: Please, you've gotta help us. What happened to Maggie's child?

Jennifer: Are we really gonna do this right now?

Jack: I thought you wanted to do this now.

Daniel: I mean, you were the one who said we needed ground rules--I'm pretty sure this falls in that category.

Jack: Yeah.

Jennifer: Oh, my gosh, ruby slippers, where are you when I need you?

Daniel: All right, uh, you know what? To be honest with you, I'm really not that comfortable with the idea of--

Jack: No, no, me neither, trust me. We're talkin' about my wife.

Daniel: Ex-wife.

Jack: You love doing that, don't you?

Jennifer: Stop this, all right--stop! I can't believe we're doing this. Listen, I am committed to this. I don't know if it's the right thing to do, but I will tell you something right now. I am a one-man kind of woman. I'm not gonna be intimate with two men at once, and that is all there is to it.

Maggie: I can't, I just--I can't sit around and wait. All of my records are at the house, and I think maybe I just need to go over there and go through them, and maybe I can find some information out to help us.

Victor: [Sighs] Well, if that's what you have to do, I'll have somebody drive you. I'd drive you myself, but I have a client coming in from London, and I know you don't want to wait.

Maggie: Oh, I don't want to be shuttled around.

Victor: Maggie, look at me.

Maggie: Oh.

Victor: You are far too emotional to get behind a wheel.

Maggie: Too emotional. Yeah. You're right. Thank you. [Crying] Thank you. But it's--it's a good thing, the child, Victor.

Victor: A child is always a good thing.

Maggie: It's just so unbelievable.

Victor: Well, hopefully not for long.

Maggie: [Sighs]

Victor: Good luck.

Maggie: Thank you. I'm gonna need it. I'm gonna need it. [Sniffs]

Victor: We have a situation.

EJ: [Sighs] Think it's out there already?

Nicole: Sorry?

EJ: The news. I'm taking this case pro bono. Listen, how do you think that's gonna play in the press? Hmm?

Nicole: I know how it's gonna play, but let's see. Oh, whoa.

EJ: What do you mean, whoa?

Nicole: It looks like John Black's gonna make a statement, live.

EJ: What? Wait a second. What could he possibly have to say?

[Keyboard taps]

Abe: Is it me, or is he acting a bit impulsively here?

Marlena: John? You want to just take a step back and consider your options here?

John: Well, I've done that. This is all I have left.

Marlena: So you're sure this is the way to go?

John: Ever since my arrest, I have been a prisoner in more ways than one--of the state and of circumstances. I've had no control over anything that's happening, and you know how that makes me crazy. So now I'm taking back some control. I'm gonna tell the people the truth.

Jennifer: I don't know what to tell you--this is how I feel, and I'm sure it doesn't come as a shock.

Daniel: We get it. We get it. Right?

Jack: Oh, yes, yes.

Jennifer: Good. Because I don't know how else to make this work, really.

Daniel: No, you know, we're gonna scrap all this stuff, scrap it. We're not gonna--gonna figure out what day, what week, how we're gonna--no. We're gonna do this on the fly, and figure it out as it comes. That's the plan.

Jack: Right. Because what's important now is making you feel there is no pressure on you.

Daniel: [Laughs]

Jennifer: Yeah. No pressure, Jack.

Jack: Because I want what's best for you, truly.

Daniel: We both do.

Jennifer: Thank you. Both of you.

Jack: So... may the best man win. And, uh, not to put any pressure on anybody, but, uh, [Laughs], We still need to figure out who gets the first date.

Victor: Maggie Horton is in full detective mode, trying to find out everything she can about the company. You are to make sure that my name cannot be connected to it in any way, shape, or form.

Hope: Mrs. Hewitt? Respectfully, uh, this is not the time to keep us in the dark about this. Something's wrong, my aunt's in the middle.

Erin: It's a complicated situation.

Bo: Tell us something we don't know.

Erin: [Sighs] I'll have to review some paperwork and do some due diligence, and--

Hope: Oh, come on, come on, please. You and I both know you have nothing to look up. You already have the answers. You know the answers.

Bo: A child is involved here, so please, stop stonewalling. It is time to tell us the truth.

Hope: Mrs. Hewitt. I know you want to help us. Where is Maggie's baby?

Marlena: That was the network. They're ready for you.

John: [Sighs]

Marlena: Good luck, honey. I'll be right here.

John: [Sighs]

Reporter: [On television] We go live now to John Black, recently arrested on embezzlement charges in one of the largest fraud cases in state history.

John: Good evening. I'm John Black, CEO of Basic Black Enterprises. In the last few days, you have heard a lot of things about what I may or may not have done. Tonight I am going on the record. Tonight I would like to tell everyone, unequivocally, that I am innocent of any and all charges that have been leveled against me. Bringing harm to my employees, to my investors, to the millions of people whose livelihood was entrusted to me is something I would not, could not do. I see you all as my family, and anyone who knows me, who really knows me, knows for a fact I could never hurt my family.
