Rafe: Wow, look at you. On the computer already, huh?

Sami: Yeah, well, I was just checkin' my email. Hey, can I make you breakfast?

Rafe: Mwah! I would love that, but I have got to run. Gotta get down to the station. Today is gonna be a madhouse.

Sami: Oh, my gosh, yes. I am so glad you got that guy. Put that monster behind bars.

Rafe: That's right. That's the most important thing. Quinn Hudson is never gonna hurt another woman in his life, 'cause we got enough evidence right here to put him away for his pathetic life.

Bo: I am really getting tired of this. How long have we been at it?

Hope: 17 hours.

Bo: Oh! Up all night with this clown, and not one word of truth out of his mouth.

Hope: [Sighs] Come on, Quinn. Tell us the truth. Level with us. Maybe we can cut you a deal.

Quinn: I agreed to talk to you without a lawyer, but I won't confess to something that I didn't do, because I'm not guilty.

Bo: Your D.N.A. was found at the scene of the attack.

Quinn: [Sighs]

Bo: The night stick was found in your hotel room. All the evidence points to you. We've got a woman fighting for her life in the hospital right now. If she loses that battle, you're lookin' at murder.

Quinn: For the last time, I didn't do it.

Vivian: Where have you been?

Gus: To get you this.

Vivian: [Sighs]

Gus: It's just how you like it, a dash of cream, a hint of sugar, and isn't it a beautiful day today? And it's just the two of us. What would you like to do? Your wish is my command.

Vivian: Gus, are you out of your mind? My son has been arrested. I'm not doing anything but try to clear his good name, and none of the attorneys you called have phoned back. Why is that? Why is that?!

Gus: I'll keep trying.

Vivian: You'd better, because my son needs help. He needs representation. Now take me to the police station, now!

Gus: But madam, there's not--

Vivian: Now, do you hear me? And I don't want to you to talk, do you hear me? Don't speak.

Nicole: Oh, EJ. Thank god I found you.

EJ: Nicole, this is a pleasant surprise.

Nicole: I need your help.

EJ: Why, what have you done?

Nicole: It's not me, it's... Taylor. She's in trouble.

Taylor: Abe, I cannot thank you enough for getting me out of here last night.

Abe: Taylor, everything's going to be okay. The important thing is you tell us the truth about what you know, all of it.

Taylor: Okay, well what I know is, Quinn didn't do this. He may not be perfect, but there is no way he's capable of hurting those women. He is innocent.

Roman: Let's not worry about Quinn right now. You've got way too much trouble of your own.

Brady: He needs you. We all need you, Chloe. We need you to wake up, you have no idea how much.

Chloe: [Whispering] Brady.

Brady: Chloe? Chloe? Chloe! Chloe, hey. Hi. You're awake. She's awake! Honey, hi. You're back, hi. [Laughing] You are back. Hi, sweetie.

Rafe: [Laughs] So what do you got going today?

Sami: I took the kids to school, and now I am back to the job hunt.

Rafe: The job--oh, my god. That is right. Listen, I am so sorry. I've been so involved with this damn case, I haven't been able to help you, to look into the-- the job, the one you were interested in, with the dynamic personality.

Sami: Don't worry about it. You have a case to solve. This is the last thing you should be thinking about, okay?

Rafe: Well, no, that's not true.

Sami: Yeah. Hey, just be a cop, okay? That's your job.

Rafe: All right, well, listen, I'm just saying, okay, as soon as the dust settles, soon as I send this case over to the D.A., I'm gonna do some investigating of my own and look into this job, see if it's legit.

Sami: You know what, you don't have to worry about it, really.

Rafe: Okay, well, we both know, something looks too good to be true, it probably is, right? I just can't stand scam artists tryin' to take advantage of people, especially unemployed.

Sami: Yeah, well, I hate being a part of that group, the unemployed, you know?

Rafe: Well, you won't for long. Okay, I'm late, I gotta go. I love you. You--mmm. I'll see you.

Jennifer: Oh, oh, hi!

Rafe: Whoa!

Jennifer: Good morning, hi.

Rafe: Hi, Jennifer. Look who's here.

Sami: Yeah.

Jennifer: [Laughing] Hi.

Rafe: What are you up to?

Jennifer: Oh, actually--

Sami: Oh, nothing, don't worry about it. You have to go to work.

Rafe: I do, okay.

Sami: Mwah!

Rafe: I love you.

Sami: Go, go! [Giggles] Oh.

Jennifer: Is everything okay?

Sami: Yeah, yeah, I'm so glad you could come on short notice.

Jennifer: Yeah, it's no problem, what's up?

Sami: I need your help.

Quinn: Your case is purely circumstantial. I mean, so what if you found a strand of my hair near the crime scene? You could find D.N.A. From a third of Salem, down on that pier.

Hope: And what about the night stick? Or I suppose you're gonna say everyone's running around town with one of those as well.

Quinn: I have no idea how that ended up in my room. Look, as I mentioned before, I misplaced my key card. Anyone could've gotten into that room, and you don't even know if that was the weapon that was used in the attacks.

Hope: It was used to attack someone.

Quinn: [Scoffs]

Hope: Forensics is testing the blood evidence as we speak.

Bo: Quinn, juries have convicted on a hell of a lot less than this. Mandy gave us a sketch that is a fair likeness. A good prosecutor will introduce into evidence your stellar past as a pimp, 'cause there we have motivation. Obviously you have something against women.

[Cell phone rings] Brady. Okay, thanks. We just got the forensics report back. The blood on that night stick is Chloe's you ready to confess?

Quinn: [Stammers] No, that-- that's impossible. Look, I didn't attack anyone. I'm telling you the truth.

Lexie: Hmm. Very good. You're focusing. That's a good sign. Now I want to ask you a few questions. Do you know what year it is?

Chloe: 2011.

Lexie: And who's the president?

Chloe: Obama.

Lexie: [Laughing] Fantastic. [Sighs] Oh, Chloe, it's so good to see those beautiful eyes, to hear your voice. Listen, um, we'll have to run a few more tests, but, uh, I do believe that you are on the road to full recovery.

Brady: Hey.

Chloe: Mmm.

Brady: Do you remember what happened to you?

Chloe: I was, um, hit on the pier, and he was--he was, um--

Lexie: It's okay. It's okay, it's okay. The man who did this to you has been arrested. You are in no danger anymore.

Chloe: They caught Gus.

Brady: Caught--no, Chloe, it was, uh, it was a guy by the name of Quinn Hudson.

Chloe: No, it--I remember it all. It--it wasn't Quinn. It was Vivian's servant, Gus. New skinny cow dreamy clusters candy?

Roman: Okay, Taylor, here's the situation. I had my eye on Quinn ever since he came to Salem. Now you, as an employee of Salem P.D., Have access to his notes and also sensitive information regarding his investigation.

Taylor: Okay, commissioner, I know how it must look, but--

Roman: We've also established that you do have a history with Mr. Hudson, a history you kept secret.

Taylor: [Laughing] It's complicated.

Abe: Being arrested at a human rights demonstration is--it's nothing to be ashamed of.

Roman: No, but Quinn's record as a pimp is serious, especially now that we have evidence linking him to the latest attacks, so Taylor, I guess what I'm asking you is, do you think Quinn used you to get information about his investigation?

Abe: Taylor, it's--it's okay. It's okay. You can--you can tell us.

Taylor: Okay, okay, so--so you want to--you want to know if--if--

Roman: What we want to know is, when you were working here, did you in any way impede our investigation of Quinn Hudson?

Taylor: W--well, look, look, look, the job--it gave me certain access, yes. I cannot deny that. It's just--

EJ: Taylor. Taylor, not another word, please.

Abe: EJ, this is not your concern.

EJ: Actually, it is. Uh, ms. Walker is now my client. So until I have a private conversation with her, this little interrogation, gentlemen, is over.

Brady: No, Chloe, it couldn't have been Gus. The police arrested a guy named Quinn. They have evidence against him.

Chloe: No, it was Gus. I'm sure of it.

Lexie: Oh, god. I'll call the police right away.

Brady: Yeah, good idea.

Doctor: Dr. Carver, I need you in the E.R.

Lexie: One second, I have--

Doctor: It's a code blue. We're losing the patient.

Lexie: Oh. Ugh!

Vivian: I want to see my son now.

Roman: He's unable to take visitors today. We're prepping him for arraignment.

Vivian: Oh, you people are a bunch of incompetent cowboys, hiding behind your stinking badges.

Roman: Ms. Alamain, I think I'd be a little more careful about what you say.

Vivian: Any evidence you have is obviously fabricated.

Abe: Vivian, look--

Vivian: Don't Vivian me! This department is obviously looking for a scapegoat, plain and simple. And my son is a perfect target. And I'm sure this office is complicit in it.

Abe: Are you done slinging--

Vivian: No! Not at all.

[Sighs] You know that this town of Salem is in a rage because of the rampant crime you can't even control. And I'm sure they'll show that to you in the next election, when they oust you.

Abe: Oh, for god's sake, Vivian, stop talking.

Vivian: [Sighs]

Quinn: I'm done talking to you.

Hope: Think again.

Quinn: I didn't do it. I know that, and that's about all I know. None of this makes any sense.

Hope: You're a predator, Mr. Hudson. You exploit women for your own personal gain. And sometimes you even beat them. What's not to understand?

Quinn: I want my lawyer.

Hope: What's up?

Bo: Well, we've--we've been at this all night long. He consented to talk to us without an attorney.

Hope: Yeah, but he hasn't actually said anything.

Bo: Yeah, I understand that. When I watched the surveillance tape of his meeting with his mom, he was earnest, insistent that he was innocent.

Hope: Yeah, but he probably suspects that he's being watched.

Bo: Yeah, I know, I know. But--

Hope: You really think we're missing something here, don't you?

Bo: Yeah. My gut's tellin' me we've got more work to do.

Chloe: I heard.

Brady: You heard what?

Chloe: I heard the music, all my favorites. I heard you talking to me.

Brady: [Sniffs] Well, I was kinda hoping you could.

Chloe: Thank you, Brady.

Brady: Ah, Chloe, god, why--

Chloe: What?

Brady: I know what you went through. I want to know why you didn't come to me for help.

Sami: So that's when I decided I need to get back to work.

Jennifer: Sami, I think this--this is fantastic. I mean, somebody has to help get this economy back on track.

Sami: Yeah. Well, I realize how competitive it is out there. It's a tough market. But then I found this job online--wait, let me show you.

Jennifer: Oh.

Sami: Um, okay, so I found this one job.

Jennifer: Yeah?

Sami: And it talks about how you don't need a college degree, and how there's travel involved but also an opportunity for rapid advancement.

Jennifer: Rapid advancement, that's good.

Sami: Yeah, and they say they want someone with a dynamic personality.

Jennifer: Look no further.

Sami: A self-starter with tons of energy, I mean, that's totally me, right?

Jennifer: That is so you. Did you send them your resume?

Sami: Yes, I did. I emailed it to them, and they responded in 15 minutes.

Jennifer: And?

Sami: [Sighs] They're interviewing me today.

Jennifer: That's incredible! Sami!

Sami: I know, I know! I'm so excited, but I'm really nervous, too. I mean, it's been a long time since I've interviewed for a job, and I feel--

Jennifer: You feel unprepared.

Sami: Exactly, yes. So I thought maybe you could help me. I mean, I know it's asking a lot, but if you could help me, it would give me an edge. I just need a little coaching.

Jennifer: You do realize that you are speaking to the currently unemployed.

Sami: Yeah, are--what are you talking about? You're a journalist, and I used to watch your show with Austin. I mean, you're totally amazing. You're a good interviewer.

Jennifer: You're--you're very sweet, and I would love to help you. I'll do whatever I can, really.

Sami: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Jennifer: But if your interview is today, we gotta get to work, fast. Open this back up.

Sami: All right.

Jennifer: All right, show me.

Sami: So here's--yeah.

Chloe: You know?

Brady: No one else knows, except Nicole.

Chloe: And Kinsey.

Brady: She was the one that called me when you turned up missing, and she was worried that something happened to you, and she didn't know who else to turn to.

Chloe: But you.

Brady: Hey, the police, they don't--they don't know anything. They don't know why you were targeted, okay, so it--it's gonna stay that way. I'm gonna do everything I can to protect you, you hear me?

Chloe: I'm so ashamed... of what my life has become and what you think of me.

Brady: I'll tell you what I think of you. I think you're a wonderful mother, who had her kid taken away from her and was desperate enough to do anything she could do to get him back. And a mother that loves her child so much that she would do anything for him, how can you judge her?

Chloe: [Breathes deeply]

Taylor: Well. You must be enjoying this, me in trouble, for a change.

Nicole: Taylor, I just--I just want to help you. We both do. I'm always the one in trouble. I know what it feels like to have your back against the wall. Look, I know a lot has gone on between the three of us, but we really need to put that aside right now and focus on getting you cleared.

EJ: I'm gonna do everything that I can to make that happen, Taylor, but first... I need you to level with me. Did you do anything to help Quinn cover up this crime?

Taylor: And am I supposed to trust you?

Nicole: Yes, you are, okay? Taylor, he's the best chance you have. Let him help you, please.

Taylor: Okay, maybe--maybe I kept tabs on the investigation. Okay, but how are they supposed to accuse me of aiding and abetting, when Quinn isn't the one who attacked these women? They have the wrong guy.

EJ: Taylor, they would not have arrested him unless they had a good deal of evidence.

Taylor: It is all circumstantial. Look, I know Quinn better than anyone, and he never would have done this. There is no way.

Vivian: I will use every bit of my influence. I will bankrupt this department.

Abe: Vivian, the police have based this arrest on very strong evidence.

Vivian: Then the evidence is fraudulent, just like this entire damn case. It is a colossal embarrassment, and my son is not guilty. And may I inform you that while you're standing here, persecuting an innocent man, the person who actually did this is out there!

Bo: We have enough evidence for an arrest, but for a conviction? I don't think so. I mean, we still have to nail down the attacker's motive.

Hope: Yeah, but Brady, don't you remember what you said? Maybe it's someone with mother issues, and for god's sakes, Vivian Alamain is his mother.

Bo: Yeah, good point.

Hope: You know what, let's just go--let's go back over the search that we started last night. Crimes that happened in the pier, recent crimes. Hopefully, these will give us some sort of a clue about the beatings that happened there. All right, here we go. Let's see, uh, more petty thefts, a vandalism incident...

Bo: That's it?

Hope: So f--wait a second. Look at this. The report says they found a young boy abandoned on the pier years ago.

Bo: Whoa.

Hope: Oh, my god, look at that.

Bo: All right, I'm gonna have to talk to roman now.

Hope: I'm gonna print it out. Let's grab it on the way.

Bo: You got it?

Hope: Roman, we've got something.

Bo: There was a child abandoned on the pier 25 years ago.

Roman: What's that got to do with anything?

Hope: Look at the name.

Roman: Augustine Pascal. Where's the police sketch?

Bo: Here.

Rafe: Thanks. That was Lexie. Chloe's awake. She's identified her attacker. It's not Quinn.

Bo: I know, it was Gus.

Vivian: I want to see my son. I tried to find his cell, and they wouldn't let me.

Abe: Good, it means that they're doing their job.

Vivian: [Sighs]

Gus: Madame, you mustn't get so upset. Perhaps your son's just a bad seed.

Vivian: Oh, shut up, Gus. You're not helping.

Abe: We're all doing the best we can.

Vivian: No, you're not. Excuse me, I don't think so.

Jennifer: Um, okay, here's another one--

Sami: Hey, so how am I doin' so far?

Jennifer: You're doing great, sweetie, you're doing great.

Sami: [Sighing] Okay. Hey, uh, you can't ask me about a criminal record, okay?

Jennifer: Okay, duly noted.

Sami: Okay.

Jennifer: Uh, all right, what do you consider your greatest strength?

Sami: Uh, okay, um, I think I'm really determined. If I set my mind to something, I don't give up. I don't let anything stand in my way.

Jennifer: That is great. Okay, what--uh, would you say that you respect authority?

Sami: Sure, if the authority deserves respecting. Maybe that's not a really good answer.

Jennifer: Well, no, it's a good answer, but maybe--maybe something along the lines of, hey, you know what? I'm a team player, but I am smart enough to know who runs the team--which, in my opinion, will be Sami Brady soon enough.

Sami: I love that answer. That's awesome. I just wish I felt that confident. You know, I mean, I know I have to be truthful.

Jennifer: Yes, and you absolutely should be.

Sami: It's just hard, 'cause I know I have to sell myself, too, you know?

Jennifer: Sami, are you kidding me? You have so many great qualities, this is not gonna be hard for you. We just have to take your answers--we just have to finesse them a little bit, so that they don't sound so, um--

Sami: Blunt.

Jennifer: Yeah, exactly.

Sami: It's just hard, 'cause blunt is, like, my strong suit, you know?

Jennifer: That's okay, we'll just rephrase it. We'll just say that you are direct and honest.

Sami: Can I take you with me?

Jennifer: You know what? You don't need me, 'cause you are a very quick learner.

Sami: Thank you. Oh, this is great. Okay, what else? What else?

Jennifer: Uh, first impressions. We can never underestimate them. What are you gonna wear?

Sami: Uh, I don't know.

Chloe: How? How am I gonna keep what I've done a secret if Quinn's been arrested? He might say something.

Brady: You can't--you can't even think about that right now. All you have to focus on is getting better, all right?

Lexie: Sorry to interrupt, but it's time to run more tests. Now that we have you back.

Brady: Hey. I'm not goin' anywhere. I'm gonna be here with you.

Chloe: [Sighs]

Lexie: You are a lucky lady, to have so many friends who love you like they do.

Chloe: I'm very lucky.

Taylor: Look, it isn't Quinn, I am telling you. He was so concerned about the attacks that he took his girls off the street.

EJ: Look, I'm not here to defend Quinn, Taylor. I'm here to focus on you and what you have done. Now, I'm assuming Quinn knew he was under investigation. That's why he asked you for help? You obviously didn't tell the police everything you knew about his, uh, activities.

Taylor: Nobody asked.

EJ: Did you do anything to deliberately misdirect the course of their investigation into these attacks?

Officer: We need to wrap this up quick. They want her put in a holding cell.

Taylor: What, wait a minute. They--they can do that? Wh--

Nicole: Can I have a few moments alone with my sister, please?

Two minutes.

EJ: All right, listen, I'm gonna go and talk to roman. Okay, they can't hold you for much longer, unless they can charge you with something, and I'm gonna try and convince them that, uh, this is a complete waste of their time and resources.

Nicole: Especially considering there are far more dangerous criminals out there.

EJ: Exactly.

Gus: But Madame, when I said bad seed, I didn't mean to imply that it's your fault your son's a criminal. Uh, you didn't raise the boy. Obviously, it's the boy's father who's of poor stock.

Vivian: Oh, my god.

Abe: Uh, Vivian, please.

Rafe: Gus was in Quinn's hotel room when we arrested him.

Bo: So he could've lifted Quinn's key card, had access to the room, and planted that night stick.

Hope: Well, he also could've planted that hair we found at the pier.

Rafe: What about motive?

Hope: Well, I hate to play psychologist, but the man abandoned on the pier by his mother... ends up turning to Vivian as a substitute.

Bo: That could cripple the strongest of men.

Hope: Then Quinn comes into the picture, takes all of Vivian's time, affection.

Bo: Who would want her affection?

Hope: I've dealt with Gus before. Always knew he had issues.

Bo: Clearly.

Rafe: Well, bottom line, Chloe's an eye witness. We got the wrong guy. Gus framed Quinn.

Roman: All right, we gotta be careful here, okay? The suspect is unbalanced and violent. We gotta take every precaution. Last thing we want is anybody else to get hurt.

EJ: Ahem, roman? Tick-tock. You either charge my client, or you let her go.

Bo: Not now, junior.

EJ: What's going on?

Roman: [Whispering] All right, do me a favor, go over by the coffee, stand there, and don't move.

Vivian: You know--

Roman: All right, follow my lead.

Vivian: I'm going to use every last bit of my influence. I will sue the city. I will sue this department.

Abe: Yeah, so you keep saying.

Vivian: You're not going to get away with what you've done to my son. Wrongful imprisonment, defamation of character, ooh, you're going to have an ugly battle on your hands, Mr. Mayor.

Abe: Vivian, if you want to help your boy, get him a lawyer. Use your resources and influence that way.

Vivian: Don't speak to me like I'm one of your interns!

Gus: Madame, perhaps mayor carver's right. I'll help you get a good lawyer. In fact, I'll help supervise his defense myself.

Vivian: Oh, my god.

Sami: Okay, what about this one? Is it too--it's too 1958, isn't it?

Jennifer: It's not bad, but it's too uptight.

Sami: Yeah, yeah, I mean, I look like Eleanor Roosevelt.

Jennifer: Okay, just try another one.

Sami: Oh, oh, ow.

Jennifer: It's okay, but--

Sami: Yeah, it's definitely not okay. I mean, I'm already starting to sweat, and I'm not even nervous yet. Ugh. What do you think?

Jennifer: It's perfect.

Sami: Really, you think so?

Jennifer: Yes, yes, this is it. It's modern, it's timeless. This is definitely the one.

Sami: Okay, good. Then I just have to nail the interview, and I'll be all set. What were you saying? I'm a team player, but I know who the coach is?

Jennifer: Sami, you're gonna be fine. Listen to me. No. We're gonna go over it and over it and over it until you get it, okay?

Sami: Yeah?

Jennifer: I'm not gonna leave you stranded, I promise you. Don't worry.

Sami: You have no idea how grateful I am to you. Thank you. Your niece and nephew thank you, too.

Jennifer: You would do the same for me. I know you would.

Sami: And maybe I can return the favor when I get this job. Oh.

Jennifer: What?

Sami: Hope's party. I can't believe you've been here all this time, and I haven't grilled you about it. She's keeping all these secrets. I'm the secret keeper in the family. What is the party? What is she planning?

Jennifer: You know what? I have no idea. Believe me, I have tried to get it out of her. But it's pretty exciting. We're all gonna have to wait until next week.

Brady: Nicole, hey, it's me. Listen, I wanted to let you know that Chloe actually came out of her coma. Uh, she woke up a little while ago, and Lexie's finishing up some tests. But call me and let me know if you want to come down to the hospital, okay? All right, talk soon. How'd they go?

Lexie: As soon as I get the test results back, I'll let you know. But so far, everything looks good.

Brady: That's good.

Lexie: That's good.

Chloe: Lexie.

Lexie: Yeah.

Chloe: Thank you so much for taking such good care of me.

Lexie: Well, I wasn't the only one. You had a lot of friends pulling for you. I'll be back in a little while, see how you're doing.

Brady: I, uh, I let Kinsey know that you woke up. Chloe, I hope you are not upset at her for telling me what you were doing. Because if she hadn't, I-I don't even want to think about what would've happened. And we--we might not have gotten to you as early as we did, you understand?

Chloe: No, it's okay. Kinsey did the right thing, and so did you.

Brady: Well, here's what I do know. You've got a lot of people in this town that really care about you.

Chloe: My life is such a mess. What am I gonna do?

Brady: Well, young lady, I can tell you one thing. You're not gonna go out and work those streets ever again. You understand me?

Chloe: I won't. I wouldn't. But I can't make a living on my singing, and I don't know what I'm gonna do. How am I even gonna pay this hospital bill? How am I gonna support my son?

Vivian: You better get yourself a lawyer, Abe, because you're gonna be up the creek without a paddle in about... now.

Gus: Perhaps I should take you home now, Madame.

Abe: You know, I think that's a good idea.

Vivian: Just keep your plebian mitts off of me. I'm not going anywhere until I find out my son's okay. And where is that alley cat Taylor? She's the reason he's in this mess.

Abe: We still have questions that need answers.

Vivian: [Sighs heavily]

Abe: But your causing a fuss here isn't helping.

Vivian: All right. All right. What in god's name is going on here? You people are coming at me like a rabid dog group.

Gus: Don't come any closer!

Roman: Gus, no! Take it easy!

Bo: We just want to talk to you, man. No one wants to hurt you.

Vivian: Why would you want to hurt Gus? What is wrong with you people?

Gus: Stay back!

Bo: Take it easy. It's all right. We can talk this out. It's gonna be all right.

Jennifer: Uh, firm is good. Firm is good. That's a little bit too firm.

Sami: Right.

Jennifer: No, but that-- it's okay. And look in the eyes the whole time when you are speaking to them. Look in their eyes like this. Hi, it's nice to meet you. Thanks for coming in today.

Sami: I'm excited to be here. I'm Samantha Hernandez, and you would be a complete idiot not to hire me.

Jennifer: Or a variation on that theme would be good. Uh, background check. Do your research. Know their clients. Know their assets. Get to know everything that you can before you walk into that room.

Sami: Right.

Jennifer: Wait, what's wrong?

Sami: Nothing. Nothing. I'm prepared. I am so prepared.

Jennifer: You are prepared.

Sami: Thanks to you. You would make a killing as a career coach.

Jennifer: You think so?

Sami: Mm-hmm. Are you kidding me? I'm a hundred times more confident than when you walked in that door.

Jennifer: That's good. That's great. I'm so happy for you. And who knows? Maybe you did just find my next career for me. But call me as soon as you get out of the interview, okay? Let me know how it goes.

Sami: Of course.

Jennifer: And then maybe you and Rafe and Daniel and I can go out to dinner and celebrate you getting the job.

Sami: We would love that. I mean absolutely love that. But if you could do me a huge favor and not mention this to Rafe--

Jennifer: You didn't tell him?

Sami: Well, no. I mean, he's been really busy with the whole waterfront attacker thing, and so I just thought it would be better to wait, and then if I actually get the job, I can surprise him with the good news.

Nicole: Taylor, EJ's gonna get you released. If I know him, he'll have you out of here in ten minutes.

Taylor: Hm. Look at us. Guess I'm not the perfect sister after all, huh? And you're being a lot nicer to me than I would expect.

Nicole: Because you didn't do anything wrong.

Taylor: I have made plenty of mistakes, Nicole. Ones you know about and ones that you don't.

Nicole: Look, Taylor, you know what, it doesn't matter. You wanna talk about mistakes? I wrote the book on it. You know, I've always been so intimidated by how perfect you were.

Taylor: Nik, I have never been perfect. I never will be.

Nicole: Perception is everything, I guess. But now that I know you really are human, we have a lot more in common.

Taylor: We are sisters.

Nicole: And we made a promise to mom to try to get along.

Taylor: I know.

Nicole: And we got a little off track along the way.

Taylor: Yeah, I'll say we did.

Nicole: Taylor, I'M... I'm willing to work on it.

Taylor: I really don't know what made you come to this decision, but, um... I'm grateful that you did. I'd like that. A lot.

Nicole: Okay. I am, um-- I'm gonna go back and check on EJ. He's gonna get you out of here, okay? You just hang on tight.

Gus: Come any closer, and I'll slit my throat!

Vivian: Gus, please don't be a fool. The police may have bungled the case, but that doesn't mean you have to be so dramatic.

Bo: Vivian--

Vivian: First you arrest my son, and now you're threatening Gus? What is wrong with you? This is an outrage.

Roman: Vivian, Vivian.

Vivian: What?

Abe: Come on.

Hope: Gus? Gus. Gus, look at me. It's gonna be okay. We know about your mother abandoning you. We're so sorry you're in so much pain. Gus, look at me. All we want to do is help you.

Gus: You don't want to help me! You want to hurt me! You don't care about me! No one cares about me. I didn't mean to hurt those girls. It was the only way.

Vivian: Oh, my god. Gus. It was you.

Brady: I don't want you worrying, okay? You gotta concentrate on one thing. You just gotta get better. That's your job.

Chloe: I can't help it. If I don't have work, then I'm never going to be able to raise my son. I miss him so much.

Brady: I know you do. And I've been doing some thinking, actually. I've been in here for a while with you, and I think I've come up with a little plan that will help you get back on your feet. You'll have a career that you love, and you'll have joint custody of parker. Does that sound good to you?

Chloe: Sounds too good to be true.

Sami: I am highly motivated. I have excellent communication skills. I would be a huge asset to this company. If you hire me, you will not regret it. I will devote myself to making this company the most competitive in its field.

Jennifer: Congratulations, Mrs. Hernandez. You're hired.

Sami: If only it were that easy.

Jennifer: No, you're gonna be great. You're gonna blow them away.

Sami: I felt really good. I feel like I could go in there and nail it.

Quinn: What, Taylor, they arrested you, too?

Taylor: No, not yet. But they're close. They're accusing me of aiding and abetting you.

Quinn: This is crazy. It wasn't me. I didn't do it. I didn't hurt those women. You know that. I would never do something like that.

Bo: No one wants to hurt you. Take it easy, man. Take it easy. Everything's gonna be--

Gus: You're lying! I don't believe you.

Bo: If you just put down the knife, then--

Gus: Everything's gonna be okay? I don't think so. I'm not stupid.

Hope: We know that, Gus.

Gus: I'm smarter than any of you gave me credit for. I almost got away with it.

Roman: Gus, put down the knife, all right? Just take it easy. Nobody wants to hurt you here.

Gus: I can't go to jail. I can't! Who'll take care of Madame? She'd be lost without me.

Men: Nicole, don't! Stop!

Gus: I'll kill her!

[All shouting at once]

Bo: Gus, Gus, get--

Gus: I'll kill her!

[All shouting at once]

Roman: Put it down!

Bo: Gus!

Roman: Gus!

Bo: Gus, come on. Put the knife down, man. Look at me. Gus, put the knife down.

Roman: Listen to him, Gus!

Bo: Let her go. Come on, man. Listen to me.

Gus: Stay back!

Bo: Think about what you're doing here.

EJ: You refuse us, and I will hold you personally responsible for whatever happens to Nicole.

Nicole: You're hurting me. Let me--

Roman: Don't make this worse. You're not a killer.

Gus: Shut up!

Roman: Go!

Gus: Stop!
