Sami: [Laughs] That sounds awesome, Johnny. Yeah, well, I just wanna say good night. You know what? If grandma wants to read you a story then go. Go, go, don't keep her waiting, I love you too. 'Night. Johnny misses you.
Rafe: Well, I'm very missable.
Sami: That part is true.
Sami: I do know that.
Rafe: But for the record, I love your grandma. She's the best.
Sami: She's the best.
Rafe: Totally, yes.
Sami: Totally, totally. Can you believe she's watching the kids so we have the whole night to celebrate?
Rafe: And the morning... what'll be left of it.
Sami: Well, we're gonna need every second, because we have a lot to celebrate. The whole "not having cancer" thing deserves another toast.
Rafe: Damn right. Mm.
Sami: That's thank you.
Rafe: Mm, for what?
Sami: For the wonderful dinner at chez rouge.
Rafe: Yeah. Well, it's a good thing we took out that second mortgage.
Sami: [Laughs] Well, yeah, definitely worth it. Definitely.
Rafe: Yeah. Yeah, definitely.
Sami: Mm. But you know what?
Sami: You keep taking me out to fancy dinners I'm gonna get used to that lifestyle.
Rafe: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Rafe: You just--
Sami: But you know what? I have come up with a way for us to be able to afford our own bottles of champagne at chez rouge, all the time.
Rafe: Did you win the lottery and not tell me? Did you?
Sami: No. I'm gonna go back to work.
Will: So now we just wait?
Sonny: Well, we just pitched the idea and they seem to like it.
Sonny: So, yeah.
Sonny: Oh, we just have to hold our breath till the university gets back to us.
Will: All right.
Gabi: Will, hey. Heh, don't get me wrong, I mean, I think you guys' website idea is amazing, but, um, I thought we were here to have fun.
Will: Yeah, sorry.
Chad: Yeah, you should be. Hey, hey, hey, hey.
Will: Thank you. Uh, I am all about fun, so let's do it. Uh, what's this?
Gabi: A bowling ball.
Will: You know, I suck at pool and I hate pool.
Gabi: I know. But the winner gets to choose our next activity... and you break.
Abigail: But your mom's doing a lot better, right?
Melanie: Yeah, a lot better than she was. I mean, therapy's hard, but I think it's making a difference.
Abigail: That is so great, Mel.
Melanie: Yeah, thank you. No, she's like a--like a whole new person.
Abigail: Yeah, and you got in touch with Nicholas too?
Melanie: Yeah, and he showed up, which is great.
Abigail: You know, you're making a really big difference in your mom's life.
Melanie: I hope so. I'm just excited to meet my brother. [Laughs] I feel lucky.
Abigail: God, it must be so good for her to have you guys all here together.
Melanie: Yeah. It was weird, at first it was just me and my mom and my dad. But now we're kind of like a real family. You know what I mean?
[Opera music playing]
Brady: The girl's a fighter. You are a fighter. And you gotta fight now, honey. For parker, for your friends, for everybody that cares about you. Fight.
Nicole: Bit of advice...
Nicole: When dining alone you should choose to sit at the bar. That way you don't look like such a loser.
EJ: Bit of advice.
EJ: Next time you try and make such a cutting barb... pay a little bit more attention, my dear. Two glasses.
Nicole: Hm. So you were stood up.
Nicole: Expecting someone then?
EJ: Yes. Ahem... matter of fact, she just arrived.
Rafe: You got a job?
Sami: Well, not yet, but I'm going to. I just have to start pounding the pavement.
Rafe: Well, honey that's great. It is, I'm--if you're sure that's what you wanna do.
Sami: I totally do. But you notice that I am telling you this in advance. I'm not gonna sneak attack you with a job at the police station this time. Though still, for the record, I think it would have been nice for us to work together.
Rafe: Well, for the record, so do I. It's just, you know, I think it would be good for us--not for the good people of Salem.
Sami: What is that supposed to mean?
Rafe: What it means I'd have a hell of a time trying to concentrate, you know?
Rafe: There wouldn't be a lot of crimes getting solved, you know?
Sami: Oh, really, really? Is that the problem? Bo and hope have that trouble all the time, they keep so focused on each other that they can't concentrate?
Rafe: Okay, for the record, everyone knows that Bo and hope do a great job of working together--I have the utmost respect for Bo. But when I'm around you... I can't seem to keep my hands off you. Hmm?
Gabi: Yeah, I'm rusty.
Will: Why do I get the feeling that I'm being hustled?
Gabi: Because you are. [Laughs]
Will: Yeah, you're good.
Gabi: Yeah, I've had great teachers. Oh! Oh, yes! Dario taught me that move.
Melanie: Ah, okay.
Gabi: [Laughs] Speaking of--hey, what's up? I thought you guys were having a girls' night?
Melanie: Well, eh, it wasn't supposed to be girls' night.
Gabi: Where's my brother?
Melanie: Yeah, guess.
Melanie: Bob, tell her what she's won.
Gabi: [Sighs] Well, I'm sorry--I know that you're not thrilled about Dario working for Brady. But, um, you know, he seems to like what he's doing.
Melanie: Yeah, I know.
Gabi: He's had so many dead end jobs that have been miserable. He's happier there than I've ever seen him.
Abigail: Yeah, I mean, I think that Brady's leaning on him a lot more now with everything that's going on.
Gabi: What do you mean?
Abigail: Well, Daniel said that Brady hasn't left Chloe's side since she was brought into the hospital.
Kinsey: Brady, can I talk to you for a second?
Brady: Yeah, what's up?
Kinsey: Um, the cops. I mean, I'm so grateful for the way that you stepped in and answered all those questions for me.
Brady: But you wanna know what to do if they follow up with you, right?
Kinsey: Yeah. I know that the most important thing is Chloe getting better and obviously the police getting that maniac off the streets--
Brady: Yeah, but if they find out what she was doing, as in working the streets, then--
Kinsey: Then she'll never see parker again.
Brady: Well, so far they haven't made the connection and I think that's the way it should stay.
Brady: You know, uh, she had her first video chat with parker a little while back. I remember her telling me. He said "mama" for the first time. And now he's probably wondering why he hasn't heard from his mom in a while.
Kinsey: What if she doesn't come out of it, Brady?
Brady: Kinsey, don't. Don't think that, okay? She's gonna come out of it. And I don't have a doubt in my mind about it.
EJ: Nicole... please. Sit.
Nicole: With you.
EJ: That was the general idea.
Nicole: Well, it would be a waste not to have a glass of champagne since the bottle is already opened.
Nicole: I don't get it. How did you know I would be here?
EJ: You of all people should know better than to ask me that question.
Nicole: Oh, okay. So you want something from me. Mm-hm, and you actually cared enough to ask me nicely which is a change. But you know, EJ, I would just prefer for you to cut to the chase, okay? So tell me. What the hell is it that you want?
Sami: Mm, you're really okay with this? Right? You're okay with me getting a job?
Rafe: Yeah, yes. Hey, listen, if that's what you wanna do, do it.
Sami: It is.
Rafe: 'Cause I know you've been feeling a little restless lately, especially with the kids off at school and, um, money has been a little tight.
Sami: But what?
Rafe: What? No, listen--okay, don't get me wrong. You would be great at anything and everything that you wanna do. It's just right now is a hard time with the economy the way it is and especially if you haven't worked in a while.
Sami: Have you ever known me to want something and not end up getting it?
Rafe: Well, that's a good point.
Sami: I get it, okay? I understand it's gonna be difficult, I do. And I have to cast a wide net, I'm gonna have to get rejected a million times. But I'm gonna pick myself up, dust myself off and try again.
Rafe: I have no doubt.
Sami: Good, because that's a new rule. After everything we've been through, this whole place... doubt-free zone.
Rafe: Noted. Heh... doubt-free.
Sami: Completely, 100%.
Rafe: Yeah, so what kind of job are you looking for?
Sami: Airline pilot. It was either that or apply to be a backup dancer for Britney. I was thinking about NFL quarterback, but you know, shoulder pads, not in.
Sami: Um, no seriously, I don't know--I don't know. Obviously I'll take any job, but I just want something that I'm good at, something that uses my talents.
Rafe: Oh, yeah.
Sami: Whatever they are.
Rafe: Yeah, sure, so long as it's not your talent for breaking and entering.
Sami: How dare you?
Rafe: Well, 'cause you do know it is illegal to break into a doctor's office, especially when you're looking at their private files.
Sami: What are you gonna just never let me live it down?
Rafe: What? Are you talking about breaking into Lexie's office?
Sami: Shut up.
Rafe: All right, all right, I'm sorry. But for the record, it's not the worst thing that you've ever done but you probably do wanna leave it off the resume.
Sami: Oh, that is some very sound, professional advice. I appreciate that.
Rafe: That is the professional advice from your cop husband.
Rafe: Okay? And it's the right advice.
Gabi: Oh! And the crowd goes wild. Yeah, you can pick your jaw up off the floor now.
Will: So now I know I'm dating not just a ps3 shark but a pool shark as well.
Gabi: Yeah, there's a lot of things you don't know about me. Oh, and you know what else? I won the bet, so that means I get to plan our date.
Will: That was the deal.
Gabi: Here's an idea, how about we, um, find a camping spot by the lake... a secluded kind. Maybe we can spend the night together.
Will: Heh, that's, uh--that's what you want?
Gabi: Well, what I want is just to be with you again.
Dario: Gabi! You are not gonna believe it. I have some incredible news.
[Opera music playing]
Brady: There was a time when Chloe meant everything to me. In a lot of ways she still does.
Kinsey: You still love her.
Brady: A love like we had doesn't really go away. It stays with you. I mean, our marriage didn't work out but that doesn't mean I... [Sighs] I never stopped caring about her. That doesn't mean I never... I always wanted her to be happy, you know?
Kinsey: I'm sure she feels the same.
Brady: That's what kills me about this whole thing. She didn't come to me. She didn't come to me and tell me what was going on. She turned to selling herself and her body to--for what? If she would have come to me none of this would have happened.
Nicole: Tell me, damn it. What the hell is it you want from me?
EJ: Nicole, is a husband not just allowed to enjoy a glass of champagne with his wife?
Nicole: Oh, my god, you must think I am stupid.
EJ: I don't think you're stupid... I think you're my wife.
Nicole: On paper. Oh, my god, EJ, you slept with my sister. You asked me for a divorce and now you're playing mind games with me? Calling me your wife? What you did with Taylor it makes me sick to talk about.
EJ: I'm sorry. Truly.
Nicole: Well, you know what? Instead of being sorry, EJ, maybe you could help me with my nausea. You explain to me what that was, with you and my sainted sister.
Nicole: Well, if you can manage it, yeah.
EJ: What did your sister and I see in each other? [Sighs] What did we see in each other? I have no earthly idea. [Laughs]
Nicole: [Laughs] I can do a little cash...
Sami: To us. I love those kids more than anything but this... is heaven.
Rafe: It is so good to see you smiling again. You know that?
Sami: Well, I'm happy. And I'm excited, this whole job thing is gonna be awesome.
Sami: I have so much more life experience than I did last time when I ended up at that dead-end job at the hospital.
Sami: For one thing I am married to the greatest husband in the whole world.
Rafe: I'll drink to that. [Laughter] See? You should put that on your resume.
Sami: Oh, yeah.
Sami: Well, but seriously, with all the kids I've totally learned to multi-task. I mean, I can scramble an egg and answer the phone and break up a fist fight all with one hand.
Rafe: That would take me at least ten.
Sami: [Laughs] I also have been scheduling all the fundraisers for the kids' schools. I fill out all those forms, I do everything online with the bills, and--I mean, I juggle everyone's schedule.
Rafe: I know, I know. And I tell you all the time, it is totally miraculous and we wouldn't know what to do without you, we wouldn't know if you if you were coming or going. Thank god you're not going anywhere.
Sami: Hm, I'm not.
Sami: I'm not--but, you know, I have a lot of confidence that people are gonna wanna hire me, that I have a lot to offer.
Rafe: You do.
Sami: I hope.
Rafe: Yes, listen--I may be a little biased, but if I was hiring I would hire you right this second.
Sami: You really think so?
Rafe: Yes, I know so. You are an indispensable asset to any company.
Will: Well, now that you got everybody's attention...
Gabi: What's going on, Dario?
Dario: Well, um, you know how I've been doing some extra translation work for the internet technology department at titan, right?
Melanie: Right, yeah, the reason I never see you anymore.
Dario: Heh, well, it looks like all the hard work's finally paid off. I got a huge promotion.
Abigail: Oh, my god, that's awesome.
Melanie: That's great.
Gabi: What's the new job?
Dario: Well, I think they're calling it, um, internet--no, "project manager for internet expansion." Yeah, that's it.
Gabi: Oh, my god, I am so proud of you, congratulations, hermano.
Chad: Great work, dude, that's awesome.
Sonny: Yeah, congratulations, that's--I think that could be awesome for everyone.
Chad: Ah, you know what I love about you, sonny, is 'cause you're just always on the hustle, you know?
Sonny: Yeah, you know, you know--well, you see, we have our website and we're trying to do some expansion.
Dario: Oh, yeah?
Will: Once we get off the ground.
Sonny: Yeah, so maybe you can work with us one day.
Dario: Oh, yeah, yeah, for sure, yeah.
Sonny: That'd be great.
Melanie: I'm so proud of you.
Dario: Oh... it's pretty cool, huh?
Melanie: Yeah, this is gonna be great, you've been working so hard, you really deserve this.
Dario: Come here.
Kinsey: Well, I've gotta run. I'm late to meet my friends at the Cheatin' heart.
Brady: Uh, Kinsey, I don't think that's a good idea. I mean, you going out alone.
Kinsey: Yeah, but only the two of us know that the stalker's only beating up prostitutes.
Brady: Yeah, I know, but this guy is crazy and we don't know what he's capable of, all right?
Kinsey: Okay, well then I'll just stay clear of the pier.
Brady: Yeah, sorry, no. It's not gonna happen.
Kinsey: Um, but Brady, I have to go.
Brady: I know you do, but listen I'm gonna have my driver give you a lift. I don't wanna take any chances, is that all right with you?
Kinsey: Oh, thank you, I really appreciate that.
Brady: It's okay.
Kinsey: You're a good guy. You'll let me know if anything changes with Chloe?
Brady: Yeah, I'm gonna let my driver know, okay?
Kinsey: Thanks. You were right, Chloe... Brady is terrific.
Nicole: So that is your honest to god answer, you have no idea? You just happened to fall for my sister?
EJ: In so many words, yes.
Nicole: But I still don't get it, I never understood the appeal--my sweet sister.
EJ: Look, Nicole, I really, truly have absolutely no idea what came over me. None.
Nicole: Okay, well, I have something that will shock you. Miss perfect has a criminal record, she was arrested a few years ago.
EJ: Oh, come on, that's nonsense--you're making it up.
Nicole: No, I'm not.
EJ: You're making it up.
Nicole: I'm not making it up.
EJ: Yes, you are.
Nicole: No, I'm not.
EJ: Fine, arrested for what?
Nicole: Protesting at a human rights demonstration.
EJ: Right, I should have guessed.
Nicole: [Sighs] You know, I've--I've been thinking that this little thing you had with my sister was just another opportunity for you to punish me.
EJ: No, please.
Nicole: Come on, with our history? Please.
EJ: Look, I'm certainly not going to disagree that you've done your fair share of things that deserve... punishment.
Nicole: Oh, you are one to talk--you practically rewrote the book--
EJ: Oh, la-la, let's not-- okay? No.
Nicole: On 21st century blackmailing techniques, yes--
EJ: Let's just not. Okay? Let's just not, all right? We're having a lovely evening, why don't we just drink and be merry.
Nicole: I'm just sayin'.
EJ: I turned to Taylor because I wanted to be somebody different. I wanted to be somebody who was respected. Decent. Somebody who if wasn't loved is at least liked.
Nicole: And she was your road to salvation.
EJ: Yeah. I think I took a bit of a wrong turn there.
Nicole: [Laughs] No kidding.
EJ: A toast. To...
Nicole: Knowing who you are.
EJ: To knowing who you are.
Dario: Well, here's to hard work finally paying off, huh?
Dario: Hey, you with me, Mel, or what?
Melanie: Yeah, I--no, I am, I'm happy for you.
Dario: She says with a frown.
Melanie: I'm not frowning... I just--I don't really get to see you very much as it is, so with your new promotion I'll get to see you even less--I don't know, I'm being selfish.
Dario: No--hey, hey, I'm always, always gonna have time for you. The thing is that you know this job could be really big for me. I finally found something that I like and at a company where I cam make a legitimate future.
Melanie: Yeah, I know, I know--I'm happy for you, I am. I promise.
Dario: Well, you think this isn't about you, but it is.
Melanie: What do you mean?
Dario: My family and I, we never had much growing up, you know? So it's--it's important for me to establish myself, it's always been. And it's important for us too because I want to prove to your family that I'm worthy of having you.
Melanie: You don't have to prove anything to anyone.
Dario: Well, then just be happy for me, huh?
Melanie: I am happy, I'm sorry--I'm being a jerk.
Dario: You're not being a jerk, you just don't like spending time apart. And I know because I feel the same way.
Melanie: Champagne problems. Okay, fine, enough of all this whining, let's celebrate.
Sonny: Yes, thanks again. I'm looking forward to it as well. Okay, take care. [Sighs] So, that was the contact at Salem U. And they reviewed our proposal.
Chad: What did they say?
Sonny: We got full approval and partial funding for the website!
[Everyone talking at once]
Abigail: I'm so excited for you.
Will: Great news, man.
Chad: I know...
[Opera music playing]
Brady: Oh, what's wrong with me, Chloe? I knew you were having trouble paying your bills, I knew you couldn't pay your rent and that you got this brand-new big apartment and I didn't even put two and two together. Why didn't I realize what was happening to you?
EJ: [Laughs] No, it was the first time that we met. You know, I think we were sitting right at this table.
Nicole: No way, was it? Right here?
EJ: You don't remember, I was with Samantha, you remember.
Nicole: [Chuckles] Oh, okay.
EJ: Right? Uh-huh?
EJ: Yeah, I thought so.
Nicole: I will admit it, battle me in a crazy contest and you lose.
EJ: Right, you came right up to me and you asked me for your divorce lawyer, right in front of her, bloody hell.
Nicole: Well, I heard you were really good.
EJ: [Laughs] You know, you are the most wonderfully, wonderfully devious, manipulative, underhanded--
Nicole: Oh, don't forget morally bankrupt.
EJ: And sadistic.
Nicole: Thank you.
EJ: Excuse me...
Nicole: Um... uh, I'm sorry--I'm not having any more, I'm afraid. I can't stay.
EJ: Why not? Oh, come on, we're having such a wonderful time--please?
Nicole: Well, didn't your spy tell you I have other places to be?
EJ: Yeah... Brady. Ahem...
Nicole: Well, thank you for the bubbly, hubby.
Nicole: Try to stay out of trouble.
Rafe: Hey, what are you thinking?
Sami: How I'd like to spend my first paycheck buying a new mattress.
Rafe: Well, my--can I just say that my back thanks you already?
Sami: Though we should probably put it towards will's college tuition.
Rafe: Yeah, that--that would be good, actually too.
Sami: And I would like to start a college fund for the little ones, I mean, have you thought about the fact that they're gonna be in college together at the same time for at least two years?
Rafe: Yeah, yeah, that thought has crossed my mind.
Sami: And then of course there's Johnny's MBA, and Allie's' MD. It would be good to have another paycheck.
Rafe: Yes, as long as we can figure out how to keep the household running.
Sami: Mm-hm, definitely. But I was thinking about that, we just put the kids to work. You know, more chores.
Rafe: Yes, that's a start.
Sami: They can make their own bed, they can clean up their own room.
Rafe: Make us dinner.
Sami: [Laughs] Mmm...
Sami: But the responsibility will be good for them.
Rafe: Yeah... yeah, you know, I can help out with the grocery shopping.
Sami: Oh, yeah, you do such a great job with that. You always buy your favorite junk food.
Rafe: Laundry? I can do laundry.
Rafe: Yeah, yeah.
Sami: Yeah, laundry.
Sami: That's all you got?
Rafe: Um, okay, well, whatever you want.
Sami: How about you start emptying the dishwasher for me.
Rafe: Yeah, okay, even that.
Rafe: Yes, absolutely.
Sami: You know--I know we're gonna have a lot to work on with, um, the shift and figuring out how we can spend more time together.
Sami: But I promise you one thing, we're gonna find a way to make time like this.
Rafe: Okay. Like this?
Sami: Mm-hm, like this.
Dario: Okay, I don't care if I'm off to the world bank and you're in the O.R. Doing brain surgery.
Melanie: I don't know how to do brain surgery.
Dario: Okay, just follow me for a second, okay? However busy we might think we are, however important I think it is, that we're important. That we make time, okay?
Sonny: There's also the question about the additional financing.
Chad: Uh, well, I will handle the money angle.
Abigail: Okay, wait, I'm sure I don't have to ask this but that doesn't involve the DiMeras right?
Chad: Oh, not a chance.
Will: Wait, who's gonna make sure the contract from the university is good to go?
Sonny: Well, I can take care of that on my end, 'cause my dad can help out.
Sonny: Uh, but what else? What else?
Chad: Well, we got the bios, right? I mean, of all the college players?
Gabi: Oh, we're--we're on it. Actually, Abby and I have been doing research on the girl's basketball team.
Abigail: Yeah, we already have preliminary bios all written up, we're just waiting for approval.
Will: Wow, you win--we haven't even started. Women's teams. Here you go, pull that up.
Sonny: All right, all right. Right there.
Abigail: [Gasps] Wow, they are hot.
Chad: Easy, easy.
Gabi: Oh, my god, we can interview them. I mean, that's--if you guys are in slacker mode or--
Abigail: Totally, yeah, we can totally do that.
Sonny: Okay, so everything's coming together nicely, you know, we got you reaching out to the sponsors.
Sonny: Now all we have to do is figure out how to come up with the rest of the capital. Any brilliant ideas?
Nicole: Has there been any change?
Brady: No, not really.
Nicole: Well, at least we know she's getting the best care possible. I mean, she could open her eyes tomorrow and be fine. I mean, we've seen it happen before.
Brady: That's what I'm praying for, yeah.
Nicole: Brady... you've barely left the hospital since Chloe got here. It's late, maybe... maybe you should come home.
Brady: I will. I will, but not right now. So don't you wait up for me, okay?
Nicole: I'm worried about her too, Brady. She's my best friend and it kills me to see her like this. But I am worried about you, too.
Chad: Yeah, but loans are really tough to come by these days, so...
Abigail: That's true. Unless maybe I put one of EJ's Bugati's up as collateral. Abigail: [Laughs]
Will: I thought we were leaving the DiMeras out of this.
Chad: Uh, William, I was kidding.
Will: Hey, you made it!
Will: What's wrong, you okay?
Kinsey: I just came from the hospital.
Chad: Yeah, it's all over the news.
Abigail: The police said they had to go public with it because every woman is a target.
Gabi: It's so scary.
Sonny: How is she? How's Chloe?
Kinsey: She's still in a coma.
Will: Wow, that's sad.
Gabi: You know, Rafe was telling me that this creep was first targeting prostitutes, but now that after what happened to Chloe--
Abigail: Yeah, we all have to be really careful.
Sonny: And we have to look out for each other.
Sonny: Like, especially the ladies, no one can be by themselves.
Sonny: Till they catch this maniac.
Abigail: Well, we can--we can use the buddy system.
Chad: All right.
Gabi: The buddy system, great idea.
Chad: Mm, I'm gonna be everyone's buddy right now and get us another round. Uh, Kinsey, what do you want?
Kinsey: Oh, no, no, I'm good, thanks.
[Cell phone rings]
Dario: Hello? Yeah, yeah, this is he. What--are you serious? No, no, of course I still do. Yeah. Yeah, thanks.
Brady: I'm, uh, I'm not leaving. She has no family around here, she needs to know that there's people that care about her, Nicole. I'm not leaving.
Nicole: I understand that, Brady, I do. But you're not the only one, okay? Look, Kinsey can come stay here. I am more than happy to stay here with her but you need to go home and get some rest.
Brady: No, no! I'm not leaving. I owe her that.
EJ: Hello, brother!
Chad: Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!
EJ: [Laughs] How are you doing? You all right?
Chad: EJ, EJ, whoo! You scared me, what's--uh, what are you doing here? What's up?
EJ: Oh, I just thought I'd come down and say hello.
Chad: Cool, and--?
EJ: So listen, a little bird tells me that you approached the Salem university's athletics department--
EJ: Looking for some funding.
EJ: A website you and your friends are doing.
Chad: A little birdy, huh?
EJ: A little birdy.
Chad: [Laughs] Okay.
EJ: You're my brother. You're Chad DiMera, okay? You need some funding, you come to me, I cut you a check.
Chad: Well, listen, brother. I'm fine. No, thank you.
Will: What happened? You get a raise already?
Dario: No, that was actually the head of the hr. It turns out that the promotion I got, it's not based in Salem.
Melanie: Yeah? Where is it? New York? La? Chicago?
Dario: Um, Argentina. I leave for Buenos Aires in a week.
EJ: You're turning down my offer to help your business? Are you mad?
Chad: Probably, yeah.
EJ: Do you have any idea of how difficult it is to get a loan in the current economic climate?
Chad: [Sighs] It's tough, EJ. But it's not impossible.
EJ: You'd have more luck playing the Powerball.
Chad: Listen, um, we've been over this.
EJ: Over what? The fact that you seem to have an incredible lack of any real business acumen?
Chad: Look, I just don't wanna be a part of the family. Nothing comes for free with you people.
EJ: "With you people."
EJ: Let me tell you, Chad, nothing in life is free.
Chad: Listen, I just don't wanna owe you anything, okay? I don't want the DiMera name attached to this, because then people won't think it's legit.
EJ: Now you're just being rude.
Chad: Listen, I'm just going to be honest with you, EJ. Thank you for the offer... but no, thanks.
Nicole: Brady, stop beating yourself up over this.
Brady: I should have known.
Nicole: No one knew.
Brady: I should have known better. I should have seen it.
Nicole: Brady, you couldn't have seen it, this isn't your fault, stop blaming yourself. Stop.
Brady: Look, I can't change what happened, I know that, all right? But I can't leave her, I have to stay here with her. And that's the least I can do for her.
Sami: It's been a hell of a day, huh?
Rafe: Oh, yes, it has. I'm so glad it turned out the way it did.
Sami: Oh, that makes two of us. I just wanna be like this with you forever.
Rafe: I love you.
Sami: I love you too.
Taylor: Strawberries and croissants? Times have changed, huh?
Quinn: Mmm, I'm gonna miss you, girl.
Taylor: [Laughs] I can tell.
