Sami: [Laughs]

Rafe: What?

Sami: [Laughs] Ow. I can't believe we slept out here.

Both: [Groaning]

Rafe: My neck. [Sighs]

Sami: For a second I forgot.

Rafe: It's okay.

Sami: Thank you for coming home last night. I know you had a stakeout, and I appreciate it. I... [Sighs] I didn't wanna be alone.

Rafe: I wouldn't want you to be. Did you sleep okay?

Sami: Yeah.

Rafe: [Laughs] You were pretty restless.

Sami: [Chuckles] Sorry. I was just dreaming about onesies, and that sweet baby smell, and-- I really was excited about having a baby with you, Rafe. I'm sorry.

Rafe: It's okay. It's okay.

Chloe: I hope you realize how lucky you are. If I hadn't gotten there when I did, and you decided you couldn't go through with it and wanted to run away, do you know what that guy might've done to you?

Kinsey: I really don't wanna think about it.

Chloe: I don't want to either. Look, there's reason why it pays so well. 'Cause you're always putting it all on the line. You have no idea what kind of danger you might be walking into. Kinsey, hey. What's wrong?

Kinsey: Didn't you see this?

Chloe: Oh, my God.

Kinsey: You said to me last night, "Two women have been attacked. Do you wanna be the third?" And now it's happened. To her. I mean, my God, that could've been me. I mean, how-- how can I ever thank you?

Bo: Just open up some resources. Let us do our damn job.

Hope: Three were two, Charles, in less than a week, and there soon are going to be three.

Charles: Look, I'm on your side, guys. Really, I am. But at this point, it's a stretch to assume someone's going after call girls specifically.

Bo: Oh, come on, man.

Charles: Look, people are attacked in that part of town on a regular basis.

Bo: So we just chalk it up to dangerous real estate and walk the hell away?

Hope: No, no. You cannot ignore this. There's a pattern here. My God, it has all the signs.

Charles: Not yet it doesn't.

Hope: Oh, no what is it gonna take, Charles? Maybe six girls, seven? How about an even dozen? How about that?

Bo: We need to move on this now. I bring the pimps in, have them identify their girls, start digging till we come up with something.

Hope: Yeah.

Charles: Great idea. Perfect. What do you suggest we do? Have an indiscriminate street sweep? I can just see the harassment suits stacked to the ceiling.

Bo: If we work together on this--

Charles: That's not gonna happen, Brady. What do you need me for anyway? You got friends in high places. I'm sure Mayor Carver would love to support you in this. Isn't that right, Abe?

Abe: Wrong.

Taylor: Since you're blackmailing me into spying for you, I thought I'd let you know another girl was beaten up on the pier.

Quinn: And?

Taylor: And I saw the initial report. She's tall, slender, long hair, calls herself Mandy.

Quinn: [Sighs]

Taylor: She sounds like your type. She's one of your girls, isn't she, Quinn? There's three victims. All prostitutes. There's no way I'm keeping quiet for you. Quinn. We're done.

Quinn: Come again?

Taylor: Third call girl to be attacked within a week? The police are gonna be all over this, which means I can't help you. From now on you're on your own. Oh, and I trust that if your business venture comes to light that you will keep our past connection out of it.

Quinn: Not a chance. If I go down, so do you.

Nicole: There you are. You disappeared on me.

Brady: I, uh, slipped out. I didn't wanna wake you.

Nicole: Are you kidding? I like opening my eyes and finding you beside me.

Brady: Wh-what... are you trying to give my grandfather a heart attack? What's with this?

Nicole: He's gone. I thought I'd give Henderson a shock. Mm.

Brady: Mm.

Nicole: Let me guess-- this is where you say "last night was a mistake"?

Taylor: Why do you need me anyway?

Quinn: I have my reasons. And since I know things that an upstanding, reputable young lady, such as yourself wouldn't want it broadcast all over town, I'd say you need me too.

Taylor: Wow. So this is how you're going to be, huh? You're gonna continue to blackmail me?

Quinn: You persevere in it, this situation, Taylor, refusing to work as an informant. All I'm asking is that you honor your commitments.

[Phone rings]

Taylor: [Laughing] Wow. When you use words like "honor"...

[Phone ringing]

Quinn: Do the right thing.

[Phone rings]

Taylor: Hello?

Hope: Taylor, where'd you go?

Taylor: Oh, I had to step out for a minute. I'm sorry.

Hope: Oh, no, no, no. It's fine. I just need you to get some files for me.

Taylor: Okay. Which ones?

Hope: Current vice squad records of all the pimps working in Salem. I don't know. For some reason I'm having trouble accessing the computer, and no luck finding any paperwork either. And-- you still with me, Taylor?

Taylor: Uh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, I'm--I'm here, and, um, I'm on my way.

Quinn: Looks like you got a job to do. And if I were you, I'd remember who it is you really work for.

Sami: I'm sorry.

Rafe: Why are you sorry, hmm? Like a false pregnancy test is your fault?

Sami: Well, I'm the one who brought up getting pregnant in the first place. It wasn't even on your radar. And then--and then, Rafe, when I thought I was pregnant, I saw the look on your face. I saw how much it meant to you.

Rafe: Sami, your kids, they mean the world to me. You know that.

Sami: I do. I do know that. I just can't help thinking whatever's wrong with me... I hope I can give you a baby someday, if that's what you want, you know? You are the best dad.

Rafe: If it doesn't happen, I'm okay with that, all right? We have a great life, do we not?

Sami: I know.

Rafe: I love you. Now, first and foremost, we need to make sure that you're okay. Okay? That's the most important thing. 'Cause if anything ever happened to you ...

Abe: So, Bo, I read everything you sent me. Crime solving, making those clearances, hell, I'm all for, it. Why wouldn't I be? But, hey, you have to look at the bigger picture.

Bo: You mean the political picture.

Abe: No, that's not what this is about.

Bo: I wish I understood what it really was about.

Abe: Oh, come on, Bo. You know damn well if you and Hope start tossing a ton of resources at this thing-- resources which, by the way, the city can ill afford-- headlines'll start flashing that there's a serial attacker on the loose.

Bo: Why does there have to be headlines? We can work this under the radar.

Taylor: Hope, the files you asked for.

Hope: Oh, thank you so much.

Taylor: Sure.

Hope: So, Abe, uh, what's more important--saving the city's image or saving a life?

Abe: Oh, come on, Hope. You know it's not that cut and dry.

Hope: Abe... I'm really starting to wonder... would you really be this cautious, would you be so worried about tossing resources at this thing, as you put it, if the women weren't working the street?

Chloe: [Sighs] Wow. This has gotten way too scary and horrible for words.

Kinsey: So what are you gonna do?

Chloe: What do you mean?

Kinsey: Well, you told me you couldn't quit, that your pimp would go to Child Services if you didn't do what he asked, and well, you'd never get to see your baby again.

Chloe: Ah, trust me, never again. I'd quit in a heartbeat if I could. But you're right. There's just way too much at stake. I'm so close to getting Parker back. I can't lose him now.

Nicole: So am I right? Are you wishing last night hadn't happened?

Brady: You know, Nicole, I've been doing a lot of thinking since Maggie got shot. And you know, I mean, introspection is not one of my strong suits. You know, I'm pretty much an action-reaction type of guy. You know that.

Nicole: How fascinating, but what does that have to do with us?

Brady: Because I act before I think, that's the reason why all this insanity has happened the last few months. I mean, last week it got out of control. It got dangerous. Innocent people could've been-- could've been killed.

Nicole: Yeah, right. And that all happened about the time I moved in here.

Brady: No, no, no, no. I'm not--I'm-- I'm not putting this on you. I'm responsible for my own actions.

Nicole: Okay. All right. Enough with the 12-step program stuff. Can you just tell me what you really mean?

Brady: Did you ever stop to think that maybe the two of us are just bad for each other?

Nicole: [Scoffs]

Rafe: So how are ya feeling this morning?

Sami: Better.

Rafe: 'Cause you look a little--little pale.

Sami: [Laughs] Thanks.

Rafe: No, I mean, are you nauseous, are you--

Sami: Yeah. Well, I was a little bit.

Rafe: You were? Do you-- do you want tea then, or some toast? Or what do you need?

Sami: You.

Rafe: Well, okay. Well, I'm happy to oblige. What? What?

Sami: Nothing. Nothing.

Rafe: No, hold on. It is not nothing. What going on?

Sami: Okay, it's not nothing.

Rafe: You all right?

Sami: Yeah, yeah. It's--it's fine. It's just--I don't understand. You know, I'm the one who never gets sick. Everyone around me gets the cold or gets something, and I never get it. And I don't understand what's wrong with me.

Rafe: Nothing's--no, no. Whatever it is, we're gonna find out today, and we'll deal with it, okay? It's no problem.

Sami: It's not that simple. It's just not. You know, you always have this way of fixing everything for me, everything in my life. And believe me, I appreciate that. I but I don't think this is gonna be that easy. I mean, when Grace was sick, you know, and she had a fever, and the doctors were saying it might be okay, that she might be okay, I knew--I knew there was something wrong. And that's how I feel right now. I feel like there's something wrong.

Rafe: Well, didn't Lexie say that it might be nothing?

Sami: Of course, she said that. She's a doctor. They all say stuff like that. She didn't stalk me here because it's nothing. Mean, she obviously thinks it's more than a hangnail.

Rafe: Well, I'll tell you one thing I know, and that is, Sami Brady Hernandez has never been in a fight that she can't win, okay? You're right. I don't have a crystal ball. I don't know what the doctor's gonna say. But there is one thing I know-- we'll get through this, whatever it is, together. Like we always do. Okay?

Kinsey: So even after this other poor woman was attacked, you're not gonna change your mind? And then--and then I'm supposed to do as you say, not as you do.

Chloe: Don't even think about it.

Kinsey: I'm not, I'm not. I just--I can't believe you're gonna go back out there.

Chloe: Look, I know it's dangerous, and I hate it, but I need to make some money so that I can prove that I can support Parker.

Kinsey: But there are other ways to get cash. Maybe not quite as much--

Chloe: Well, you know that that's not the only reason. Like you said, if I try to quit, then Quinn is gonna go to Child Protective Services and tell them what I've done, and then I will never see Parker again.

Kinsey: You'll never see him again if you're dead either. Take a good look, Chloe. I listened to you last night. Now you listen to me. If this happens to you, where is that gonna leave Parker? Do you want him to lose his mom forever?

[Phone chiming]

Taylor: "You know I never bluff."

Abe: Everyone in this city is entitled to equal protection, and you know I'm committed to that, Hope.

Hope: Yes, I do, and I apologize, Abe, but we've gotta do somethi--

Abe: Look, I get that the two of you are passionate about this and frustrated. I am too. But until we can prove there's a pattern, I cannot go public. I cannot say there is one.

Bo: Okay, okay. Then it's settled. Thanks for your time, Abe.

Abe: Yeah, well gotta get to the hospital. I got a message from Rafe to meet him there.

Bo: About?

Abe: I don't know. But if it's about this case, he'd better have a lead. I'm not gonna send this town into a panic for no reason with nothing to give the public except "be careful out there."

Hope: Abe, please, there is a pattern.

Abe: Look.., that's my answer. And Hernandez better not give me any argument either.

[Departing footsteps]

Chloe: [Sighs] [Sighs] I have to find Quinn.

Sami: Lex.

Lexie: Oh, Sami, Rafe, hi. I'm glad you're both here. You have an appointment with Dr. Tannenbaum, right?

Sami: Yeah.

Rafe: Yeah, I'm sorry that I had to cut out yesterday in the middle of her appointment. But before we talk to the specialist, we just--we wanted to talk to you and see what questions to ask, what to expect.

Lexie: Sure. Let's go sit down.

Rafe: Okay. Well, the thing is, I know that you examined Sami. You were concerned, but you didn't really give her a lot to go on, so... what do you think's wrong with my wife?

Lexie: Uh...

Nicole: Bad for each other? You and me? Is that what you really think?

Brady: Look, come on, you know--you know as well as I do it takes more than just great chemistry between two people, and don't-- listen, you can't deny that something happens when our personalities get together.

Nicole: Something catastrophic, disastrous, cataclysmic?

Brady: Yeah, yeah, Nicole. It's like--it's like we enable one another.

Nicole: [Laughs] Okay, so you're saying that when we're in each other's presence, we are not in control, that all our worst instincts come to the forefront, and we encourage each other to sink to the mire of rotten.

Brady: Right.

Nicole: Is that what you're saying? Really? Oh, come on. Brady, we aren't all perfect people, okay? We're damaged goods. Who cares? You treat me like no other man has. And even when you're upset with me or disappointed in me, there is an understanding. And I know that you get me and you love me. Am I wrong?

Brady: No, you're not.

Nicole: So then I guess I feel the opposite of you. I feel without each other we're doomed.

Chloe: Was she one of yours?

Quinn: Sorry?

Chloe: The woman who was attacked.

Quinn: Look, I really don't have time to--

Chloe: You said that you could protect me, but you can't. You know you can't.

Quinn: You're making a scene, Chloe.

Chloe: Quinn, just let me go. Please. Let me go.

Hope: Well, I'd say we ha a pretty good handle on who the major players are. Except for this-- this new guy in town. I can't seem to collect any information on him.

Bo: Yeah, that's why we should be out on the street, asking questions.

Hope: You mean doing police work?

Bo: Yeah, something like that.

Hope: You know, I get the feeling that this pimp with no name is gonna be very helpful in our investigation.

Taylor: Is there anything else you guys need?

Bo: Yeah. Um, the woman who was attacked and ended up in the hospital, we're having trouble finding her family, and they should be notified.

Taylor: Okay, I'm on it.

Bo: Thanks.

Hope: Miss Mandy won't tell us who her pimp is.

Bo: Do you think they connected, this mystery man and our victim?

Hope: Well, she's not in any of our files. Look, the important thing right now is we've got to find out who this guy is and who he's connected to. That's gotta be our top priority.

Bo: Yeah.

Lexie: Sami, Rafe... the truth is, right now I don't have answers for you. But I will have answers after your tests.

Sami: Tests. Tests take time. Last time I came in for simple blood work. I waited a week before the doctor called me back.

Rafe: The waiting's killing her.

Sami: I woke up every ten minutes last night.

Rafe: She's still feeling queasy.

Lexie: Well, that could be from the stress. Listen, I know the unknown can be scary, but let's not make this worse by driving yourself crazy, okay? I mean, it could be absolutely nothing. Sami, hey, I mean that. Okay?

Sami: But do you really think it's nothing? I mean, how many times have you seen cases like mine where it actually turned out to be nothing?

[Approaching footsteps]

Abe: Oh, sweetheart. Hey, Sami. Uh, Rafe, I got your message. Is everything okay?

Rafe: Uh, well, we hope so.

Abe: Well, if, uh-- if this is a bad time-

Sami: No, it's not. It's fine. You know what? Um, why don't you go and talk to Abe, and I'll text you as soon as I know anything. You know what? I think it's a good idea.

Rafe: Uh--

Sami: I love you.

Rafe: I love you. Okay. I'll just be gone a couple of minutes, all right?

Sami: Yes!

Rafe: Okay.

Sami: Go.

Lexie: I'm glad you told Rafe what's going on.

Sami: Are you kidding? I don't know what I was thinking yesterday. I couldn't get through this without him.

Abe: So what is it? What can I do for you?

Rafe: Oh, I just think there's someone you need to see. I just thought you should see what we're up against.

Quinn: Let you go? Sweetheart, I thought we already had this discussion. Several times, in fact. You are an integral part of my stable. In my line of work, you don't let an asset of such value just get away.

Chloe: Look, if you can't do something as basic as protecting innocent women from being beaten up and left for dead, then you don't belong in this business.

Quinn: What you need to do, Chloe, is keep a low profile. And when you speak of protection, well, I can't take care of you every second of the day, now, can I? Besides which, the girl from last night was attacked by a stranger. It had nothing to do with me.

Chloe: She worked for you.

Quinn: And she wandered around in a very dangerous neighborhood by herself. Not a smart idea.

Chloe: Smart idea? What, and is it a smart idea to force women into selling their bodies, to debase themselves just to make you rich?

Quinn: You need to calm down, Chloe.

Chloe: I just don't understand why you won't budge on this, why you even recruited me for this disgusting job in the first place.

Quinn: [Chuckles] I think that would be obvious.

Chloe: Oh, no. No, no, no. Don't you make this about my looks or anything else. Or even the fact that I made an idiotic, drunken mistake by sleeping with you the first night I met you. This was personal, wasn't it? You know, ever since the beginning, it's been your mission to get me--

Quinn: Look, it wasn't personal...for me.

Chloe: What?

Quinn: Look, don't get it twisted, love, okay? You needed this. Now, either way, you're in it, so stop complaining.

Chloe: You said it wasn't personal for you, meaning it was personal for someone else.

Quinn: Pardon?

Chloe: Quinn, you know what you said. Don't deny it. There's someone that wanted me to do this, isn't there?

Quinn: [Sighs]

Rafe: I questioned her earlier. I wasn't able to get much out of her.

Abe: So I heard.

Rafe: She's afraid. And who can blame her. Claims she didn't get a good look at her assailant, just like the other two girls. Compared to Mandy, looks like they got off easy.

Abe: Have you checked with her doctors?

Rafe: Oh, yeah. She has internal injuries, worse than I originally thought. She just got out of surgery, and there may be complications. Abe, this wasn't her fault. And if there are other victims, chances are it's not gonna be their fault either.

Abe: Aye. All right, you made your point.

Rafe: Did I?

Abe: You'll have all the resources you need. Access to the press as well. And my office will back you all the way. Just find the sick bastard that did this.

[Door clicks open]

[Door clicks shut]

[Phone ringing]

Bo: Brady. Hey, man. Oh, that's good news. Yeah, thanks. I will.

Hope: What's going on?

Bo: That was Rafe. Abe just gave us carte blanche.

Hope: Are you kidding me?

Bo: No.

Hope: What turned him around?

Bo: Came to his senses, I guess.

Hope: Well, we'd better get to work then.

Bo: Yeah.

Hope: I say we hit the hospital first, be there when Mandy wakes up. And, uh, you know what? If she realizes how committed we are to solving this case, hopefully she'll tell us more than she did last night.

Bo: Yeah. Hey, Taylor, when you find that family, let us know.

Taylor: Yeah, sure. No problem.

[Phone chiming]

Rafe: Oh, no.

Sami: [Sighs]

Rafe: Dr. Abbott wants to know if the baby's still moving.

Sami: Um, yeah. [Chuckles] Actually right now. Here.

Rafe: What? Whoa! What, did he just kick?

Sami: Yeah. That was a strong one.

Rafe: Yeah, it was! Like doing karate in there or something. Never felt anything like that before. Um, yeah, the baby is definitely still moving. He just kicked.

[Knock at door]

Sami: Come in.

Both: Hey.

Rafe: I just got your text. You didn't get the test done, did you?

Sami: Yeah, yeah. They said they could see me early, and when does that ever happen, right? I guess it's just 'cause I'm the patient of the chief of staff.

Rafe: Why didn't you page me? I wanted to be here.

Sami: It was quick. I mean, it just all happened so fast, and it was pretty painless. This is the hard part-- waiting.

Rafe: Okay. So did Dr. Tannenbaum say anything?

Sami: Exact same as Lexie-- that she wants to wait until they get the test results. And then she said she was gonna consult with Lexie, he definitely didn't make me nervous.

Rafe: Well, uh, just-- that means you're in good hands.

Sami: I know I am.

Rafe: Okay. So when do we find out?

Sami: I don't know. I mean, I guess they said it wouldn't take long.

Rafe: Hey.

Lexie: Hi.

Quinn: No need to let your imagination run wild. All I meant was that it's always personal when I go after a girl I think is right for my operation. I learned a long time ago to keep personalities out of the equation.

Chloe: You expect me to believe that?

Quinn: Why wouldn't you?

Chloe: You know, it always bothered me how you pursued me. From the start, it's like you always had some sort of an agenda, like someone put you up to it. I'm right. Who was it?

Quinn: We're done talking about this.

Chloe: No, we are not done talking about this. That look on your face. Somebody did put you up to this. It's the only explanation. I can't believe I didn't think of it before. Who was it, Quinn?

Quinn: You're crazy. You work for me, and that is all you need to know. Good-bye, Chloe.

Chloe: No, we are not done yet.

Hope: No change?

Nurse: Not so far. Miss Pierce is still under sedation.

Hope: Taylor.

Taylor: Oh, hey.

Bo: Hey.

Taylor: Hi. Um, I got in touch with the victim's sister, and, uh, she lives a few miles out of town, but she's on her way.

Bo: That's great, but you didn't have to come all the way down here to tell us that. You could've called.

Taylor: I know, but, um-- well, I kind of ended up bonding with, um, Mandy's sister on the phone, so I told her I would come down here to the hospital and check on Mandy personally to see how she was doing.

Hope: And report back to whom?

Taylor: Gina. Um, her sister's name is Gina, and, um, after I see Mandy, I'm supposed to give her a call.

Hope: That's very sweet of you, Taylor.

Taylor: She asked if I could sit with her for a few minutes. I was hoping that I could honor the request, if it's possible.

Hope: She's still unconscious. But I can't see why it wouldn't be okay to sit with her for a little while.

Taylor: Thanks.

Hope: All right. Be right back. Come this way.

Bo: See ya.

Hope: Pretty bad, isn't it?

Taylor: Oh, my God. The poor girl.

Hope: I'm determined to nail this bastard. [Sighs] Hey.

Bo: Hey.

Hope: Uh, you know, I've been thinking about our next plan of attack.

Bo: Okay, and?

Hope: I think we should go undercover.

Bo: We?

Hope: Me, actually.

Bo: That's a great idea. You know, you being a call girl, walking the streets late at night. Why didn't I think of that?

Hope: This may be our only shot of learning this guy out.

Bo: Yeah, you're right. It--it could be. I mean, it's insane, and dangerous, and you'll give your husband an ulcer, but...

Hope: Okay.

Bo: Heck, let's do it.

Hope: Fine. You know what? If you want, you can give me all the arguments, okay? That it's dangerous, that it's insane, that you're never gonna go for it. But you and I both know I am gonna do it anyway.

Bo: Hope. Hope.

Hope: So why don't we just cut the part where we fight and figure out how to make this work? What do you say?

Nicole: [Sighs] You know what? You can make a case all day long that we are bad for each other, that we're codependent, whatever the hell that means, and that we enable each other, and that we bring out each other's weaknesses--

Brady: I don't have any weaknesses.

Nicole: Oh, stop, Brady. You know what? I can make an equally strong case that says we are what makes each other whole.

Brady: Come on.

Nicole: No, come on nothing.

Brady: Oh, come on, Nicole--

Nicole: That is what I believe. I know I can give you what you need. I know I can. Just like you give me what I need, and you always have, Brady. [Sighs] We've been through a lot these past few months. And against all odds, we've made it through. Scarred but not broken. And if we stop short now, that would be really, really sad and a total waste. Brady, did you ever think that--

Brady: Think what?

Nicole: Well, if I-- if we had stuck together, then all these horrible things wouldn't have happened. It's okay, Brady. Okay, it just us now. You can say it. You need me. Just say it.

Brady: Fine. Since you want me to admit it, you want me to say it, I'll say it. There is something I need here, something I need very much, but--

Nicole: What?

Brady: I can't think straight around you.

Nicole: So? That's a good thing. Who needs to think straight? It's boring as hell. Brady, look, I love that I can do that to you--

Brady: I--I need time. I need time.

Nicole: Time? Brady, we've had time.

Brady: I need time to think about it, Nicole, and the more we talk, the harder it gets to think about, okay?

Nicole: Okay. I'll go. But I won't be far.

Bo: You're not doing is. Bad idea. Not gonna happen. Would you stop? Look. [Sighs] Okay, the only way I'll sign off on this is--

Hope: Is if we take every precaution necessary. Of course, we will, 1,000%. Scout's honor.

Bo: You were never a scout.

Hope: Right.

Bo: Yeah. Um, if things get too dangerous, I pull the plug.

Hope: Absolutely. You pull the plug.

Bo: Right.

Hope: Just as soon as I nail this bastard.

Bo: [Sighs deeply]

Mandy: Please.

Taylor: Mandy, please? Please what?

Mandy: Quinn. [Breathing heavily]

[Approaching footsteps]

Hope: Any change?

Taylor: Uh, no, she's, um-- she's been out the whole time.

Chloe: Why would you walk away from me unless you have something to hide?

Quinn: I walked away from you because you're spewing utter nonsense. Now, I hope you don't speak to your clients this way. You know, insanity can be a real career killer.

Chloe: You can't even look at me, because it's true. Isn't it? Who would want me to be... oh, my God. I know who it is.

Quinn: You don't know anything. You're totally off base.

Chloe: No, I am not.

Quinn: Think what you will, but you'd better pull yourself together before your next job. Now, I'm done with this conversation. Oh, my computer... [Sighs] Ah, damn it.

Sami: Where is Dr. Tannenbaum?

Lexie: I asked her if I could be the one to talk to you.

Sami: Why? I mean, look at the look on your face. What? What is wrong with me?

Lexie: Your ultrasound showed several cysts. That's probably why you've been having the pain and the nausea.

Rafe: And what do you do about that?

Lexie: We remove the cysts.

Sami: Surgery.

Lexie: Yeah, but minimally invasive.

Sami: Okay, then what?

Lexie: Hopefully that'll be the end of it.

Sami: Why do you say like it might not be?

Lexie: Well, we'll have to analyze the tissue to determine whether the cysts are benign.

Sami: So you're saying that, um...they might not be. I--I might... I might have cancer.

On the next "Days of Our Lives" --

Rafe: So are you gonna tell Will?

Sami: No, I don't wanna be a burden to him.
