Abe: Right. Thanks. Thanks, Mark.
Lexie: I'm making the calls, but I don't think that Theo or Ciara told anyone where they were going. I'm not sure they even knew themselves.
Abe: Sweetheart, we have about 200 people out there looking for them and we're gonna find them.
Stefano: Oh. I got your message. what's happened to Theodore?
Hope: Bo, hold on. Just wait a second, okay? She's gonna answer this time. I just have a feeling.
[Cell phone rings]
[Cell phone rings]
Hope: Tell me, Bo. Tell me that she's so mad at us that she won't answer her phone. That it's not because...
Bo: Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Come here.
Bo: Come here. Shhh.
Melanie: I don't understand why you won't tell me about this project with Jennifer.
Daniel: Well, because I'm a gruff, stubborn surgeon, and I hate PR campaigns.
Melanie: Yeah, right.
Daniel: I don't know why you won't talk to me about the reward. You told me the cops said you turned up a lead.
Melanie: Maybe I don't want to jinx it.
Daniel: Yeah. And maybe...
Man: Need another one?
Chloe: Yeah, I'll have another. And keep them coming 'cause I've been on the wagon and I've got a lot of catching up to do.
Man: I got you.
Gabi: Answer me, Rafe. Why would you just treat me like this? Why would you leave town without saying good-bye?
Rafe 2: Actually, I can explain that.
Will: That'd be a good idea.
Rafe 2: Yeah. Come on in.
Will: Because, uh, not only is Gabi very upset, I'm very interested in hearing how my mom took the news.
Rafe 2: Well, to be honest, she doesn't know yet.
[Door closes in distance]
Doctor: Good news. You're getting out of here.
Abe: So it looks like he and Ciara ran away together.
Stefano: That does not make sense. I mean, Theodore had no reason to run away.
[Cell phone rings]
Abe: Excuse me.
Lexie: Even though Hope is back, whatever Ciara must've been going through must've just bubbled up.
Stefano: So she bubbled up. What the hell has that got to do with Theodore?
Kate: Stefano, really, I don't think that's helping right now.
Stefano: Right. Right. [Clears throat] How can I help?
Abe: Uh, you know, actually, I'm glad you're here. Would you stay with Lexie? I was gonna go down to the station and check in with Roman.
Stefano: Of course.
Abe: Okay. Sweetheart.
Abe: I won't be gone long. And I'll call you if I hear anything.
Kate: We're ok here. Do what you need to do.
Abe: It's gonna be okay. I promise.
Stefano: I ham, a word. Uh, look, Katherine's right. We shouldn't upset Alexandra. But you tell Roman that if anything happens to my grandson because of that screwed-up little girl, I'm gonna hold Bo and Hope personally responsible.
Abe: You know, I think that's just what this situation calls for. Stupid threats.
Stefano: [Speaking foreign language]
Hope: Okay. I'm good. I'm fine. We should go.
Bo: All right, yes. Listen. There are plenty of reasons our daughter didn't answer her phone. You know her, she forgets to charge it, turn it on. She loses the darn thing all the time.
Hope: Yeah, I know. I know that. I'm sorry.
Hope: I just--I'm not gonna lose it. I'm--I'm--I'm not gonna fall apart so you have to calm me down. I'm gonna be strong. I am strong. We're a team. We're gonna get through this together.
Bo: Yeah. We are. What? What is it?
Hope: She just wanted us to be a happy family and we were.
Bo: We were and we are.
Hope: But we never got the chance to tell her that. She never would've gone if we.. just had the chance to tell her.
Bo: Yeah, yeah, I know. We will have that chance and we will tell her. But I got the feeling we won't have to tell her 'cause we'll be together as a family and she'll feel our love. She'll know we're a family. I'm gonna go be with Roman. I'm just a phone call away, okay?
Theo: Ciara, you awake?
Ciara: My head hurts.
Theo: Ring ring again.
Ciara: Did you answer?
Theo: No. But I can.
Ciara: No. We can't talk to anybody. We can do this ourselves. We have to.
Will: You didn't tell your wife that you're leaving?
Rafe 2: Will, can you give me, like, half a break here, okay? Just give me a second to explain. It's not a simple situation, dude.
Gabi: No kidding.
Rafe 2: Yeah. No kidding is right. And, uh, by the way, it's not all me. In fact, it was Sami's idea to take Johnny and Sydney and go to her brother's. Kind of made me mad at first. I'll admit it. Starting to get it now though. And you know, why she did it. I
Will: Yeah, I think I know why she did it.
Rafe 2: Yeah, she's fed up with me. She's realized that we need some time apart so that we can both go to our neutral corners and sort things out. And that way we don't come back in together and keep having the same mistakes being made. You know, doing the same stuff. Having the same fights.
Gabi: Okay, so you're leaving to, uh, cool down and sort things out?
Rafe 2: Yeah. It's kind of like a sabbatical, you know?
Gabi: Yeah, well, sabbatical implies that you're coming back. Are you?
Rafe 2: Well, would you think that I would just walk out on my family?
Dario: Isn't that exactly what you're doing?
Stefano: Sweetheart, do you have to stay here? I mean, you know, you could come to our house and get some rest.
Lexie: What did you just say, to my husband?
Stefano: I, uh... I wished him luck.
Lexie: Like hell.
Stefano: What is this? So now you are upset with me? My grandson is missing and now you are giving me grief about what I am talking to your husband about? Who, by the way, is always condescending and cold. And he talks to me as if I'm a one-year-old jerk!
Lexie: Can we not make this about you?
Stefano: You are the one who made it about me. You picked on me for no reason.
Lexie: Listen, just because I couldn't hear what you were saying to husband doesn't mean I don't know that you were throwing your weight around, Father. You were just barking orders.
Stefano: My grandson is missing. I want him found. That's what I told him.
Lexie: Okay. Okay. I get that. I get that. But your grandson's father doesn't need you acting like you are more than he does.
Lexie: All right? So how about you think about someone other than yourself just once? Just start treating my husband with respect, okay? And do not turn this into the freaking Stefano DiMera show!
Bo: Hey, Roman. Anything?
Roman: Uh, not yet. But Abe just ordered an Amber Alert. Matter of fact, I'm gonna get on It right now.
Abe: All right, thanks a lot.
Bo: Yeah, thanks, man. Abe, I'm really sorry.
Abe: Yeah, me too. How's Hope?
Bo: She's handling it.
Abe: Is she?
Bo: [Exhales] I'm really worried about her. After everything she's been through... you know, Abe, when Ciara was kidnapped before, I knew--I felt that she was in danger. But no not to diminish the circumstance, I don't know, I just got the feeling we're going to find our kids and they're gonna be okay, you know?
Abe: I feel the same way.
Bo: Yeah. I'm glad. But the strain on Hope... g
Abe: Maybe you should be with her.
Bo: Yeah, maybe I should. But I got the feeling she thought I was watching her. She knows I'm not the type of guy to sit around by the phone. So I just wanted to show her that I think she's trying.
Abe: Do you?
Hope: I'm so glad that you're here.
Julie: Oh, you don't need this. I mean, I know in my heart of hearts that Ciara is going to come home safe and sound.
Hope: She's just been through so much, Julie.
Julie: Darling, you listen to me. Ciara is coming home. And you're gonna work everything out now that you and Bo are back together.
Hope: You're right. Bo's gonna find her. You're right. I know he will. He'll find her.
Ciara: That hurt.
Theo: I'm scared. You okay?
Ciara: I'm fine. It's a good thing you didn't answer my phone. That would've made mommy and daddy even madder at each her. I know I'm right. They have to be together. And I'm never going home again.
Stefano: [Scoffs] Fine. Fine. Take out your negative feelings on me, that's fine. I mean, I can handle it. Besides, I know how upset you are.
Lexie: Mmm. You figured that out, huh?
Stefano: What now, huh? How did I step my foot into it this time?
Lexie: I don't want you talking to my husband like that.
Stefano: Like what? I talk to him man-to-man. I talk to him grandfather to grandfather. I did not even yell. I did not even raise my voice. I just--agh!
Lexie: What? What?
Stefano: Fine. I'll tell you my concern, all right, in a way that I think we can prevent this from ever happening again, all right?
Lexie: Oh, great. This ought to be good.
Stefano: Don't be a snot. When we get Theodore home-- and we will get him home-- I'm not sure that it is a good idea for him to spend time with this child. I mean, any time at all.
Lexie: Oh, my God!
Stefano: Because this child is so troubled.
Lexie: I can't believe you just said that.
Stefano: What are you trying to say to me? That that girl does not have a lot of problems?
Lexie: If she was your granddaughter, you would think that she was perfect, Father. You would just worship the ground she walks on.
Stefano: Not if she ran away and she took another child forcefully with her and endangered his life too.
Lexie: Okay. She ran away because she was worried at she was causing problems with people, okay? She ran away because she has been through hell lately.
Stefano: That is not the whore's problem. But she made it Theodore's problem and I don't like that.
Lexie: No compassion.
Stefano: Oh, oh, yeah, sure. I'll show plenty of compassion for her when Theodore comes home safe.
Stefano: Oh, boy. Oh, boy. You know, I--Bo Theodore comes from a stable home. You are a stable mother. If Ciara feels that she has to run away because of her whack job mother, she does not have to take my grandson with her!
Victor: What did you just say about Ciara?
Melanie: I don't want buffalo wings anymore. I want a cheeseburger from the Brady Pub.
Daniel: Fine, I'll see you later.
Melanie: Please don't do this. Please go to the shelter. Get a puppy. But don't do this please. Dad. It's like talking to a wall.
Chloe: Daniel. Thank you.
Man: You're welcome.
Chloe: Fancy seeing you here. Can I buy you a drink?
Daniel: No, I'm on my way to the hospital. How's Parker?
Chloe: Oh, he's with his father. Well taken care of. Perfectly taken care of. No worries there.
Chloe: So I thought having a couple martinis would be a nice way to pass the time. It's just a shot in the dark, but I think maybe you don't approve of my decision.
Daniel: At about 40 levels. You're on medication. You're trying to get custody of Parker. And here you are drinking in public.
Chloe: It's a bar. It's supposed to be public.
Daniel: Suppose that it was the social worker that walked in instead of, say, me.
Chloe: I don't think so. Or he doesn't seem to be my type. Do you? Can you just not look at me, okay? Just hate me from afar.
Daniel: What are you doing, honey? Just throwing in the towel? Is that it? Your son needs you. And your big idea is to just imitate Nicole?
Chloe: He doesn't need me. Everyone thinks he's better off without me. I mean everyone.
Dario: So you're taking off, huh? No surprise there.
Rafe 2: Yeah. So you're passing judgment. No surprise there either.
Dario: You got a wife. And you say you care about her kids. You have dead sister whose murderer is walking free with a knife that he likes putting up to women's throats.
Dario: You don't do anything about it.
Gabi: Is that right?
Dario: That guy put a knife to Melanie's throat. And he told her to take back the reward. And when we told Mr. FBI here, he says he has to go home for a nap.
Rafe 2: Yeah, well, must be great to be you then. Know all the answers. Figured out everything in life. Must be why you're so successful.
Gabi: Don't talk to him like that.
Rafe 2: Great job. Great relationships. Sleeping on your brother's couch. Taking the bus 'cause you can't afford a car.
Gabi: Okay, Rafe, stop.
Rafe 2: What's that?
Gabi: Who are you? Just who the hell are you?
Doctor: Since your behavior has been what we like to call exemplary, you get to go to arts and crafts class.
Rafe: Oh, yeah?
Doctor: Yes. We feel it helps your self-esteem to glue macaroni on things and then spray-paint them.
Rafe: Well, I'm out of here?
Doctor: for a while. So I'll be back. Just remember...ok. This is how Picasso got his start.
Rafe: Well... time to get creative.
Hope: Ciara thinks she' keeping Bo and me from getting back together. That's what she said in the note that she left.
Julie: Wow. Well, you're just gonna deal with that when she comes home. The important thing to remember is that you and Bo are together and that the two of you have worked through problems that would've just sunk other couples.
Hope: So good to be with someone who's so assured that everything's gonna work out.
Julie: Oh, my darling, I think everybody in this life goes through hard times--times when you just lose your way. And it can be a very cold feeling. And when you come back, sometimes it's difficult to believe again. To find your faith again. So please take some of mine. I truly believe... that grandma and grandpa... and our mother and Zach... are there watching over Ciara and Theo. And my prayers for you we answered. I'm sure they will be for these precious, innocent children.
Victor: So what's being done to find her? I'm gonna call in my people.
Stefano: Good idea. Your son could use all the help he can get.
Kate: Okay, listen to me, both of you. If you're going to insist on handling this situation the same way you always handle every situation that you have, fine. But go outside. Go away from her to do it. Then you can bray and you can posture in the parking lot.
Kate: She can't--she doesn't know where her son is. She doesn't need this right now.
Victor: You're right. I'm sorry. I really am.
Kate: Stefano that a clue, maybe, to what you should be saying now?
[Cell phone rings]
Stefano: All right, look, I can be more circumvent around her, okay? But that doesn't mean I'm not gonna do anything. I'm gonna find those kids.
Kate: Hey, Bo, they're pulling them out so we can see who has the bigger phone.
Bo: Well, put them away. We're looking for Ciara and Theo my way. Not yours, mine.
Melanie: Stop it. Stop. This isn't good for either of you.
Chloe: She is not always wrong.
Daniel: Hmm. Yeah. May I? I need some air.
Melanie: No-- I
Chloe: [Snorts] "Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, he walked into mine.
Melanie: Do you think this is funny?
Chloe: No. No no no no no.
Melanie: You know, you're playing right into Kate's hand.
Chloe: Like now you're on my side?
Melanie: I'm actually thinking about your son.
Chloe: It's no concern yours. Not mine either. Just ask Philip.
Melanie: I can't do that anymore. Unfortunately, Philip and I just aren't that close. It just didn't work out. I always forget why. Let's see if I can remember what happened. Oh, yeah, you did.
Chloe: One-woman-disaster area.
Melanie: I don't even know why I try. Drink yourself into oblivion, Chloe.
Chloe: I'll do my best.
Melanie: You don't even need anybody to feel sorry for you because you do such a damn good job of that all by yourself.
Theo: Home. Can we go home?
Ciara: You can. I can't.
Theo: I'm calling daddy.
Ciara: Don't tell him where I am.
Theo: I lost the phone. Here it is.
Ciara: It's broken. it won't work anymore.
Daniel: [Exhales] What, did you hang back and chat it up with Chloe?
Daniel: Something wrong?
Melanie: No, um... can we eat in the hospital cafeteria? It's just cold out here.
Daniel: Yeah. That's why I got you some hot soup. Come on. Sit down.
Melanie: Oh, right.
Daniel: What are you doing? What is going on?
Melanie: Nothing. Nothing.
Daniel: No, no, no, I can see that you're scared and you don't scare easily.
Melanie: I'm not--it's not a big deal.
Daniel: Well, then tell me or you're grounded.
Melanie: I'm grounded?
Daniel: Or you're grounded.
Melanie: Okay, uh... remember how I put that reward offer online to find a witness?
Melanie: I didn't find a witness. I found the guy that did it. And he threatened me.
Daniel: Really? Was it here?
Melanie: Yeah. We talked, and then I finished my run here, and he followed me.
Daniel: What, he just admitted he was the guy?
Melanie: Yeah. He said I needed to take the reward down or he's gonna hurt me.
Daniel: Hmm. And what did he look like?
Melanie: I don't know. He was wearing a mask. But I want him to take that mask off his face. I can get a look at the guy that killed my best friend.
Daniel: Was he armed?
Melanie: Yeah. He had a knife.
Daniel: Okay. Good God.
Melanie: I don't--I don't think he was gonna hurt me though. He--he could've, but he just-- and he just talked to me.
Daniel: So he just--he threatened you with a knife and then just walked away?
Melanie: No, um...great Dario show up and pulled him off me. And then they fought. And then he ran away.
Daniel: That's great. Dario. Yeah, my favorite dude, Dario. Yeah. This story just keeps getting better and better.
Gabi: You can't talk to him like that.
Rafe 2: Oh, really? Well, what is this? A one-way street? He gets to tell me off, I can't say a word about him?
Dario: Okay. Okay. I don't have a job, but you do. And Melanie and I, we came to you [Speaking Spanish].
Gabi: Why didn't you do anything about the man who killed Ari?
Rafe 2: I didn't do what he wanted me to do, okay? Which is basically run around and make a bunch of noise. Now here's what happened, Gabi. I handed the case off to a good cop. I came home to try and save my marriage, which for the record has not been easy because everyone's telling me that I'm not me. Ever since the accident, I've been playing catch-up, and evidently, I'm not doing that great of a job. Don't you ever question how I felt about Arianna. I was there. You weren't.
Gabi: Rafe, look, I get it. You just--you're the one that's saying we have to stick together to be a family. and when you talk to Dario like that, Arianna, she would just hate that.
Dario: Save your breath, Gabriela...that's not Rafe. That's some self-righteous jerk that looks like him.
Rafe 2: Well, all right, then who cares if I'm leaving? Yeah?
Dario: Oh, by the way, brother, now you got my place all to yourself. You can pretend to be a grown-up. . Ah.
Doctor: I think it has a quiet intensity. You should get some rest. You must be spent.
Gabi: Dario, you go after him.
Gabi: Well, I can. Let me because I can't this--
Dario: He walked out, Gabi. It's his decision.
Will: Gabi, Dario's right, okay? There's no point in talking to him right now.
Gabi: He's leaving.
Will: Maybe that's a good thing. Everyone needs sometime to calm down and figure things out. He was right about that at least.
Gabi: I'm just so sad.
Will: I know.
Dario: Gabi, I got to go.
Dario: Look, I can't leave everything up to Melanie, so I got to go, but...I
Dario: I'm sorry if screwed things up for you and Rafe? Dario made this worse.
Gabi: [Exhales] Do you know what's happening?
Will: I don't. I really don't.
Melanie: So let me get this straight. I tell you Dario leaves my life and you're mad at him?
Daniel: Well, I don't think you would need your life saved if he hadn't dragged you into this reward thing.
Melanie: It was my idea. She was my friend.
Daniel: Yeah, that's right. And now you're in danger. What--what did Rafe have to say? Did you tell him? Did you tell Rafe?
Melanie: Of course. We went straight to the police station after it happened. We told Rafe. But the weird thing is he acted like he didn't even care.
Melanie: He told to go talk to the other cop and he'd get around to it. I don't know. It seemed like Dario was gonna go ballistic.
Daniel: Oh, yeah, wouldn't that have been out of character?
Melanie: You're right, he should be calm like my father was to him.
[Cell phone rings]
Daniel: So what did Rafe do? Did Rafe do anything at all?
Melanie: No, he didn't.
Daniel: No, he didn't do anything. So I think you need to rescind the offer 'cause it's obviously putting you at risk here.
Melanie: Dad, no.
Daniel: Yeah. You know what, you did your part, Mel. Let them run with the ball now. You're done, okay? I got to go. I art a, uh, emergency surgery.
Melanie: Emergency surgery?
Daniel: Yeah. Surgery.
Melanie: Oh, really?
Daniel: That's what I got.
Melanie: Sometimes I think you just make that stuff up when you're losing an argument.
Daniel: I'm not losing an argument.
Melanie: Yeah, well, I'm not re-scinding the offer.
Daniel: We can argue about this in the car.
Melanie: I'm not going in the car--I'm staying here. I'm not going anywhere with you.
Daniel: What? What?
Melanie: I can't live my life like that. Look just go home. The guy's not gonna attack me again.
Theo: I'm sorry.
Ciara: It's okay. We don't need this stupid phone.
Hope: They weren't at the Allans'. Really wasn't expecting them to be. Was good to get a little fresh air though. And Julie's been wonderful, but...
Bo: She driving you crazy?
Hope: No, no, no. it's not that. It just I can tell that she's putting on a big act for me. I can see in her eyes she's completely terrified.
Bo: Yeah. Well, we're gonna find them on.
Hope: Bo, I'm fine, okay? Concentrate on the search.
Bo: Yeah, I will, and I'll call you as soon as I have anything.
Bo: I love you.
Hope: I love you Bo.
Victor: How's she holding up?
Bo: She's okay.
Victor: You should' called me right away, Bo.
Bo: Yeah, well, I had other priorities.
Victor: I could've helped. You may not like it, but I got other resources.
Bo: And very little restraint. DiMera. I want the two of you to listen to me very carefully. If someone has these children...
Stefano: Alexandra said that they ran away.
Bo: There are people who look for runaways. So if someone has them, I don't want it out there that they're your grandchildren. 'Cause as you know, that would make things much worse. And I don't want your employees' helping out. Amateurs almost always move too quickly and that would muck things. bottom line: The two of you do nothing.
Stefano: I'm sorry, but I don't have to listen to this.
Lexie: But you do have to listen to me.
Lexie: Back off, both of you. Bo's in charge. What he says goes.
Victor: But we can help.
Bo: I know this is difficult for you. It is for all of us. But I will find our kids and I will bring them home.
Julie: If you'll excuse me, I'm going to call your father, make sure he's had something to eat, and then I'm going to make something for you and you're gonna eat it.
Hope: Come home, Ciara. Before it gets dark, baby.
Ciara: We don't have many left.
Theo: No food?
Chloe: It's me.
Kate: I don't have time for you. I've said all I have to say.
Chloe: Don't you dare hang up on me, you bitch.
Will: So much for our intervention.
Gabi: Yeah. Went great, didn't it?
Will: I'm really sorry about your brothers, Gabi.
Gabi: Yeah. They're having problems and taking that out on each other.
Gabi: Will, um, are you gonna tell your mom that Rafe's leaving? About the fights?
Will: No. Let's give him the, um, the half-a-break that he wanted. Give him some time to sort everything out.
Gabi: I'm glad. 'Cause, I mean, as much as I wanted to confront him, I feel kind of sorry for him too.
Will: Me too. But hopefully he'll get home before my mom and she will never have to know about this at all.
Rafe 2: Hey. They said at the station you were here.
Roman: Well, I'm ad you're here. I wanted to talk to you.
Rafe 2: And vice versa. I just want to let you know I'm taking a leave of absence effective immediately.
Roman: No, you're not.
Rafe 2: Huh?
Roman: I just can't approve that, Rafe.
On the next “Days of our Lives" --
Rafe 2: Just what is it that you think you know about me?
Taylor: Do you know how much I would give to have what you have?
Chloe: Damn you, Kate. Damn you to hell.
