Bo: In a few minutes, we've got to go over to Doug and Julie's and pick up Ciara.

Hope: Can't wait. My God...

Bo: What?

Hope: It's good to be back here.

Doug and Julie: Surprise! Surprise!

Hope: Ciara! Oh, there's my little girl, my beautiful angel. Oh, baby. Daddy, Julie. [Laughing] Ohh. Oh!

Nicole: So the dress is being held at ballistics in Salem Place. Don't look at the price tag. Okay, just charge it to the DiMera account. The store knows all about it.

Taylor: Okay. DiMera, got it.

Nicole: Great.

Taylor: What?

Nicole: It's weird, isn't it? I mean that you and I, honest to God, worked things out.

Taylor: Yeah. Who knew?

Nicole: Now my baby sister is gonna be a bridesmaid at my wedding. Taylor, I--I really am happy.

Taylor: Me too. So when do I get to meet my future brother-in-law?

Nicole: [Chuckles]

EJ: Your fingers are... cold.

Taylor: Not just my hands.

EJ: Oh, I'm sorry. Take my scarf.

Taylor: No, no, I couldn't.

EJ: No, I insist.

Taylor: How will I give it back?

EJ: It's a gift. [Clears throat] Come on. Probably never see her again. Besides, you're about to get married.

Rafe: Come on, Sami. Figure it out. Figure it out, if the guy doesn't know what Allie likes, that something is wrong. He's not me. And if he so much as touches a hair on Allie's head, I'll kill him.

Rafe 2: Fine, I'll take 'em back and get the right cookies.

Sami: What's going on?

Rafe 2: I got the wrong cookies.

Allie: I like chocolate chip with nuts.

Rafe 2: Yeah, I forgot. I just--

Sami: Really? How did that happen?

Rafe 2: I don't know. I don't know, because I'm not perfect, okay? What the hell's everyone want from me around here?

Maggie: Happy Anniversary, Mickey, my love.

Brady: Maggie, you all right?

Maggie: Yes, I'm fine.

Brady: I can come back if it's not a good time.

Maggie: No, it's good. It's good. Did you want to see me about Chloe?

Brady: Uh, no. I wanted to talk to you about my grandfather.

Victor: You're my attorney, for God's sake. Don't tell me nothing can be done. My grandson stole my company right out from under me. I want it back. Oh, Brady, everything I did for you. This is how you repay me.

Doug: My princess is back home. It's about the happiest day of my life.

Hope: Me too, Daddy.

Julie: We've been helping Ciara prepare for you and Bo the most beautiful Valentine's Day dinner that ever was. So your table for two awaits in the dining room.

Doug: Something wrong here?

Sami: Hey, it's not important.

Rafe 2: No, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I just--ugh, you know, I've been fighting this-- I'm still in a fog and I get dizzy and I screw up, I say the wrong things. I'm sorry, just--

Sami: Don't blame yourself, okay? We understand. Don't we, Allie? I mean, it's okay. You can make a mistake. Everybody makes mistakes. It's just cookies, right? You know what, maybe I should get you the medicine that the doctor gave you for the dizziness. Is it in the medicine cabinet?

Rafe 2: Yeah.

Sami: Yeah, okay, so you just lay back, rest your head, okay?

Rafe 2: What's your problem, squirt? Oh, boo-hoo. Did you not get what you want, huh? Well, guess what. Nobody does, so get used to it.

Allie: I like chocolate chip with--

Rafe 2: Yeah, I heard you the first time. Did I not hear you? Oh, what? You want to play a little talk-back? Huh? Now you don't have any cookies. How's that?

Sami: Rafe? Hey, sweetheart, what happened to Rafe?

Allie: Mommy, Rafe was mean to me.

Sami: Come here.

Bo: You know what, little one? Your mommy and I appreciate that you went to all that trouble to make Valentine's Day dinner for us. But I think it would be best if all of us had dinner together as a family. What do you say, Mommy?

Hope: I think her daddy's right.

Ciara: Then I better put out more dishes.

Doug: I should say so. You want me to help?

Ciara: No, that's okay.

Bo: She's a big girl.

Julie: We shouldn't have let Ciara get so carried away with the Valentine's Day idea.

Bo: Mm-hmm. It was all Ciara's idea.

Doug: Uh...

Brady: See, what happened was I decided things needed to change, so I changed them.

Maggie: I don't understand.

Brady: When I rescued Vivian and her little minion from the island, everything was very rushed. I told her I wasn't going to hoist her up to safety until she signed some documents I had, and, well, she didn't exactly read them thoroughly.

Maggie: Hmm, so that's when Victor got his company back again?

Brady: No, that's when I took control of the company. She signed the company over to me, Maggie.

Maggie: What? Dear God, Brady. How could you?

Nicole: Well, EJ's been swamped lately, not a minute to spare, but you two will meet soon. And guaranteed, you will hit it off.

Taylor: Right, good. I'm really happy for you.

Nicole: Then why aren't you smiling?

Taylor: Me? No, I'm just, you know--

Nicole: Not really happy for me. Taylor, I know you think I'm crazy for marrying EJ when things went so badly the first time around.

Taylor: I have good reason to be worried, Nikki.

Nicole: No, Taylor, not anymore. Look, this is the best thing that's ever happened to me. I love EJ's kids. They mean the world to me. And I'm starting to remember why I fell for EJ in the first place. And yes, he is a DiMera. But he has a heart.

Taylor: Oh...

EJ: So what is so wrong it couldn't be handled over the telephone?

Rafe 2: You know, you and your old man, you act like you got everything under control, don't you? You're so powerful.

EJ: I strongly suggest that you tell me why you called me down here.

Rafe 2: Yeah.

EJ: And watch your tone.

Rafe 2: Well, pretty boy you got in a basement, he set me up.

EJ: Meaning what exactly?

Rafe 2: He gave me the wrong info. Meaning what? He said Allie's favorite cookies were chocolate chip.

EJ: Okay, so?

Rafe 2: So they were chocolate chip with nuts. With nuts, okay? So what do I do? I go get the freakin' cookies, and I take them back to the princess. "No, they're not good enough. The little cookies--" right? So--oh, then I look over and Sami, she's there, and she's staring at me like I'm from freakin' Mars.

EJ: And how did you handle her?

Rafe 2: I am not gonna be talked to like a little-- I told that little brat, I told her. Boy, did I tell her.

EJ: Really?

Rafe 2: Yeah.

EJ: Was Samantha present?

Rafe 2: No, she was in the bathroom. I told her, I told her where she could stick those cookies, if you know what I mean, and then I left.

EJ: Is that right?

Rafe 2: Yeah.

Caroline: Stephanie, would you mind taking my suitcase upstairs?

Stephanie: Sure, yeah.

Caroline: Thank you.

Stephanie: Mm-hmm.

Kayla: Oh.

Caroline: What's up?

Kayla: Oh, it's the clinic. They're coming up for the regional council review.

Caroline: When?

Kayla: Well, right away. They need me. I'm gonna have to go back to Johannesburg tonight.

Caroline: Oh, tonight?

Sami: Oh, Aunt Kayla, hi. Hi.

Kayla: Hi, cutie. How are you?

Sami: Good to see you.

Kayla: You too.

Sami: Grandma, yay, I'm so happy you're home.

Caroline: Thank you.

Allie: Welcome home!

Caroline: Thank you. I get a hug from this little angel here.

Sami: Can I speak to you?

Kayla: Sure.

Sami: Aunt Kayla, I am so glad you're here. I really need your help.

EJ: And listen.

Rafe 2: What? You mad at me? I'm not the one that lied. It's bozo you got locked up in the basement there.

EJ: Okay, why don't you just do me a favor, shut up.

Rafe 2: Yeah.

EJ: And listen. On the way back, you're gonna go and grab some cookies, chocolate chip with nuts, all right? You'll take them back to Allie, and you will tell her that you were just playing a game, that you were just pretending to be angry earlier.

Rafe 2: Okay. It's not gonna work.

EJ: Just do it anyway. All right?

Rafe 2: Okay.

EJ: Okay.

Rafe 2: Okay.

EJ: So did you buy her a Valentine's Day gift?

Rafe 2: No. You probably don't want to go asking Rafe because he's just gonna lie to you though, so...

EJ: Well, luckily for both of us, I know Samantha rather intimately. So go out and by some Corman Chocolates. They're as common as she is. You can buy them anywhere. Get her some long-stemmed roses.

Rafe 2: Okay.

EJ: Okay?

Rafe 2: Mm-hmm.

EJ: Okay. Give them to her, smooth things over, romance her into the bedroom, leave your phone on.

Rafe 2: My phone?

EJ: Yes, we're going to repay Rafael for lying to us. I'll text you. Now go. Go on, out.

Rafe 2: Okay.

EJ: It's about time Allie had a little holiday.

Taylor: No, no. The dress fit perfectly.

Nicole: Really? You don't need Maria?

Taylor: Nope, when I tried it on it-- sorry, I have to call you back.

Hope: You need to know that just because I'm back here in the house, it doesn't mean that--

Julie: It doesn't mean that you and Bo are in the same relationship. We know that, we know.

Hope: All right, good. It's hardly a secret that I still love Bo and that he loves me and--but there's still some issues, a lot of issues that need to be worked out.

Julie: We understand.

Doug: Of course we do. Now you have to be realistic about things. You have to play it smart. Low-key.

Hope: Low-key?

Doug: Yes. Now here's what you're going to do.

Maggie: You have no right, no right at all to decide things like this for Victor. Oh, come on, it was his company that he built himself, alone. He spent long hours, took incredible risks to make it what it is. And what, you just come in and take it away from him like this? Oh, Brady. He has to be heartbroken.

Brady: Yeah, maybe. Eh, he'll get over it. I know he will. Listen, I've taken too much of your time. So I just wanted to let you know that you are free. I'll see you around.

Kayla: Now if it persists, I would definitely say go have him checked out. But the problem is it's a brain injury. So it's going to heal itself in its own way in its own time. So the best thing that you can do is just try to be patient.

Sami: Which means don't freak out every time he does something weird?

Kayla: Right. It's just gonna take time. And Rafe may have to learn a few things over again, but he's gonna be okay. You can trust in that.

EJ: I was, um--it's funny, I was just thinking about you earlier.

Taylor: Oh. Well, I was thinking about you too. Wondering how I could get this back to you.

EJ: Keep it. Just keep it. It's a gift.

Taylor: Really?

EJ: Mm-hmm.

Taylor: It seems like it's pretty expensive.

EJ: I think it's more important that you keep warm.

Taylor: Thanks. You know, I didn't catch your name.

EJ: Right. You know, maybe that's-- maybe that's best.

Taylor: Now you've really got me curious.

EJ: I'm really sorry, but I have a--a meeting that I can't--

Taylor: Oh, yeah, no, no problem.

EJ: Actually, I think it might be a problem. I'd hate to think that I would never see you again.

Taylor: Um, well, uh, we'll just have to leave that up to fate.

Taylor: Yeah, I'm sorry about earlier. I, uh, met this guy and it was, um--

Nicole: What?

Taylor: Um, interesting, strange.

Nicole: How so?

Taylor: Well, because he wouldn't give me his name, not that he knows my name either, but--

Nicole: Not a good start, Taylor.

Taylor: I know. But maybe I'll run into him again someday.

Nicole: Spoken like a true romantic. Listen, I have to go change. So I'll see you later, okay?

Taylor: Uh, yeah, definitely.

Brady: Taylor.

Taylor: Hey, Brady.

Brady: Hi, I was about to track you down actually.

Taylor: Me? Why?

Brady: Well, let me get you some coffee first.

Taylor: Oh, no, that's okay, thanks. I'll get my own.

Brady: Taylor, I insist, actually, because I really want you to say yes... to a job offer.

Kayla: You know, I can't say it enough. Patience is the key. So if Rafe says something that's out of character, don't get so upset because he will be himself again soon.

Sami: Right, okay. Do you mind if I call you every couple days to give me that advice again to help me through this?

Kayla: Well, yes, you can call me, but I will be in Africa, but I'm happy to help.

Sami: No way, you're going back to Africa? I'm sorry. I mean, obviously Uncle Steve will be so happy to have you there, but I'm gonna miss you, and I'm sure you're gonna miss her too.

Stephanie: Yes, I don't want to talk about it. But good news is grandma is already very, very busy. She's upstairs with Allie making gingerbread.

Sami: Wow. Well, I know that she was so thrilled to have her great-grandma back home.

Kayla: I'm sure she was.

Sami: Well, I should probably go up there and make sure that, you know, she's not eating all the dough when grandma's back is turned.

Stephanie: I think it's too late, but...

Sami: [Laughs] All right, well, oh, my gosh, have a safe trip. I'm gonna miss you so much, Aunt Kay. I love you.

Kayla: Love you. Good luck.

Sami: We'll talk.

Stephanie: Okay. Well, she seems a whole lot better than when she first got here.

Kayla: Well, she's just stressed out about Rafe and his head injury, memory loss, that whole thing.

Stephanie: But she feels better after talking to you.

Kayla: Well, you know, I listened to her, and I gave her a few ideas. Hopefully I can do the same with you.

EJ: You thought you were being so clever, didn't you?

Rafe: What?

EJ: The false information that you gave us.

Rafe: Oh, you--you're talking about the cookies?

EJ: The cookies.

Rafe: That wasn't false information. Allie's favorite cookies are chocolate chip.

EJ: Is that with or without nuts?

Rafe: Oh, God. Um, no, I just--I assumed that they were gonna--

EJ: No, you didn't. You lied! You lied, Rafe. And now a little four-year-old girl is gonna pay for your lies. And you know what's making me really sick? Is I don't even want to do this. But unfortunately for you, I'm a man of my word.

Taylor: Why are you offering me a job?

Brady: Couple reasons. First, I remember Nicole telling me that you graduated Magna Cum Laude from your business school, right?

Taylor: Yeah. Yeah, and I've put that on every one of my applications for the last six months. No takers.

Brady: I'm a taker. I run Titan Industries, and I need a new head of marketing. I need someone who's good, and I need someone who's honest. And frankly, I think you'd be perfect. So welcome aboard.

Taylor: Wow, that's very flattering. But no thanks.

Stephanie: What ideas were you talking about?

Kayla: Well, I--I just feel bad about leaving here tonight. I have been so worried about you. You know, you were so wrapped up in the whole Chloe, Philip situation, and then--and then losing Nathan. I--I'm just sure that you're in a lot of pain still.

Stephanie: You know, Mom, not so much.

Kayla: Really?

Stephanie: Sometimes I just feel like I woke up from a really bad dream. And all that stupid stuff I was doing to try to hold onto Nathan, the lies, secrets, and tricks. How I suddenly became this other Stephanie is beyond me. It really is.

Kayla: So you're really okay with things?

Stephanie: Yeah. Which means you don't have to worry about me anymore. How's that?

Kayla: I think you just made my day better.

Sami: Rafe?

Rafe 2: Hey, hey.

Sami: Did you get my message?

Rafe 2: I didn't, no. I just, I saw you called, so I figured I'd come back here.

Sami: Well, about what happened--

Rafe 2: Sami, just listen to me. I really need you to forgive me. You know, it's just when I forget stuff or I get dizzy, I get so damn frustrated.

Sami: I know, I know.

Rafe 2: And it's just not right. It's not fair for me to take it out on you or the kids. Chocolate chip with nuts.

Sami: Allie will be very happy.

Rafe 2: Yeah. So am I forgiven?

Sami: Of course you are.

Rafe 2: Oh.

Sami: Look, I was talking to my aunt, and she kind of was giving me everything from a doctor's perspective about how, you know, for a while you're gonna have your memory come and go, and eventually you'll be fine.

Rafe 2: Yeah. And there's some things that I don't forget. Hey. Happy Valentine's Day. I love you so much.

Sami: How 'bout that? I love you too.

Rafe: EJ, please, listen to me. Listen, listen, I did not do this on purpose. It was--I get those cookies at the Java for the kids all the time. And I always get them with the nuts, and so I just, I didn't even think. I just assumed that they-- EJ, please. Don't do this to Allie. What, you're gonna punish me for something I didn't even mean to do? Please.

EJ: This will be your one and only reprieve. You pull anything like this again, and that little girl is gonna disappear for good.

Bo: Ooh. I don't know about you, but I'm bushed.

Hope: Big day. Lots of tension and worry and celebration, surprise party.

Bo: You know what, why don't we clean up tomorrow? Let's go to bed.

Maggie: Hi, Henderson, is Victor here?

Henderson: Mrs. Horton, I'm afraid he's not seeing anyone tonight.

Maggie: Even me? I understand.

Brady: Taylor, why are you turning me down? This job is gonna be great, seriously, and it has benefits.

Taylor: Okay, for starters, I finally started making peace with Nicole after a lot of tough years, so no way am I gonna jeopardize that.

Brady: Okay, why would working for me jeopardize--

Taylor: You guys just broke up, remember? Secondly, Nicole used to be married to your grandfather. I'm not getting involved with anyone who has or used to have any kind of relationship with my sister.

Brady: Wow, you got pretty rigid standards for someone who's out of work.

Taylor: I've got a question. Was the job offer to help me or to hurt Nicole?

EJ: Wow. You look sumptuous.

Nicole: Oh, I don't think anyone's ever called me that before. Anyway, I heard the keys in the door, and I believe this is your favorite.

EJ: It is indeed, thank you.

Nicole: Mm-hmm. Happy Valentine's Day.

EJ: And to you.

Nicole: Mmm. I have something for you. You follow me. Okay, to daddy from Johnny.

EJ: Yeah.

Nicole: To daddy from Sydney.

EJ: Mm-hmm.

Nicole: And a little something extra.

EJ: Who could this be from?

Nicole: I don't know.

EJ: Ah, "be mine." It's very direct. To the point. The answer of course is yes. I did not get you a Valentine's Day Card.

Nicole: No?

EJ: Sorry.

Nicole: It's okay.

EJ: Oh, I think I got you a gift somewhere. I just can't quite remember where I put it exactly. Ah!

Nicole: Ah!

EJ: This may be--actually, I don't think this is it. It must be something else.

Nicole: What's in there? Let me see it. EJ, they're beautiful. Oh, my God, thank you. Thank you. Thank you, thank you.

EJ: You're welcome.

Nicole: You know, I'm beginning to think that, um... is it possible that you really like me?

EJ: Not just possible.

Man: Hernandez, you're gonna get a call.

Sami: They are beautiful, Rafe.

Rafe 2: Just like you. Happy Valentine's Day.

Sami: I have an idea.

Rafe 2: Hmm?

Sami: Okay, so what if since Allie is hanging out with my grandma for a little bit, I could change into something a little more Valentine's Day-themed and see if it gives you any ideas.

Rafe 2: Yeah, I've already got a few.

Sami: Oh, yeah?

Rafe 2: Yeah.

Sami: That was quick.

Rafe 2: Okay, okay, hold on. I'll be right back.

Rafe 2: Oh, Rafe, my man. You're about to find out that payback is a bitch. Yep.

Hope: This may seem a little awkward or strange, but maybe we need to go back in time. Who knows, maybe this time we can get things right.

Bo: Okay. I'm not really sure how that works.

Hope: Hi, I'm Hope Williams.

Bo: Okay. I'm Bo Brady. Would you like to go out sometime?

Hope: I'd like that. So give me a call. Good night, Brady.

EJ: Hmm. What?

Nicole: You know, normally I would think, um, uh-oh, everything's perfect. Disaster's on its way. But this time, I think we've earned our happiness, you know?

EJ: So do I.

[Phone rings]

Man: It's for you.

[Ringing continues]

Rafe: Hello.

Rafe 2: Hey, secret agent man. So tried to screw me over with that whole cookie thing. That was cute. But, uh, I guess that didn't work out so well for you, did it? Listen, I just called to let you know that I have got Valentine's Day over here covered. Yeah, I got Sami these real sweet roses, you know? Mmm, good stuff. And I got her those Corman Chocolates that she loves so much, and boy, she gave me this long, sexy kiss. Don't you love the way her lipstick tastes? Anyway, I better go 'cause I got to get ready for some real sweet bedroom action, if you know what I mean there, bud.

Rafe: Don't you touch her.

Rafe 2: [Laughs] What, you think this is the first time? I'm heading in for seconds, hot rod.

Rafe: You son of a bitch, you listen to me. Don't you touch her.

Sami: Hey, Rafe, I'm ready for bed. How 'bout you?

Rafe: Sami, no!

Rafe 2: Yeah, just a second. Be right there.

Rafe: Hey, are you hearing me? If you touch her, I'm gonna kill you.

Rafe 2: Yeah, anyway listen, buddy, I gotta get going 'cause wife's waiting for me in the bedroom with open arms.

Rafe: I'm gonna kill you, you bastard! Hello?

Man: I'll take that.

Rafe: [Murmurs]

Man: Hernandez, the phone.

Rafe: Yeah. [Chuckles] It's okay. It's okay, Sami. I'm coming for you. I'm gonna get the hell outta here.

Rafe 2: So do I seem like I'm back to my old self?

Sami: Yes. Definitely. [Sighs]

On the next "Days of Our Lives" --

Kate: Are you ready to take the first step?

Melanie: I think so.

Sami: This is not my Rafe.
