Vivian: Read it and weep. I am now your majority stock holder.
Victor: I am not letting you get away with this.
Vivian: Oh, but I already have. I say, "jump," and you say, "how high?" Or I leave you all with nothing. I think this is what's known as the last laugh.
Brady: Look, Viv, come on now. I'm the one who put you in the box. Why don't you pay me back, okay? Leave them out of it. They were just trying to protect me.
Vivian: Oh. Okay, Victor, tear up that document. I've changed my mind. [Laughs] As if. Well, I just can't wait to boss you all around and rub salt in your wounds.
Victor: You're quite pleased with yourself, aren't you, Vivian? Well, there's no way I'm gonna let you get away with this.
Vivian: Oh, but I already have, Victor.
EJ: Lexie, this is taking a long time. I mean, should we not have heard something by now?
Lexie: I'll go see what I can find out, okay?
EJ: Thank you.
Sami: Yeah. Sweetie, it's so wonderful to hear that. No, you take good care of your brother, okay? You take care of Will. Yeah, I love you too. I'll talk to you later.
Sami: I think this is taking too long.
Rafe: No, it just seems that way.
Sami: No. No, I just have this sense that something is wrong.
Rafe: Sami. Nothing is wrong. Okay, everything is gonna be okay. Have some tea.
Sami: No, I want my son to be all right. I just want him--I want him to get through this, and I want to see him smile, and I want to hear him laugh, and I want to hold him in my arms, and I want to know that everything is gonna be all right. And I want this nightmare to be over. I can accept that he has to lose his eye. But I want him to be cancer-free, and I want to know that he is gonna be all right.
Rafe: [Silently] He will be.
EJ: [Clears throat] So Lexie went to see what's going on.
EJ: Listen, Samantha, I know we said we'd both be there when Johnny wakes up...
EJ: Well, I was hoping, before that happens, maybe you and I could have a little chat.
Daniel: What? What is it? Has the cancer spread?
Lexie: How's it going?
Daniel: We just finished up.
Daniel: And the procedure went well. I was just asking Dr. Kim if he's seen anything.
Kim: [Sighs] Actually, I think you better take a look at this.
Smith: And this is the infirmary. We are quite proud of the work we do here. We really do provide high-quality health care for our inmates.
Jennifer: Yes, I see that. It's very impressive. I'm not sure if I told you, along with my background in journalism, I also have health care experience. I worked at a free clinic in Africa.
Smith: The infirmary is--is fully staffed at present, but I could use an administrative assistant, someone to handle the press. Would you be interested in something like that?
Jennifer: Yes. Yes, I would. Absolutely.
Smith: Oh, let's go to my office and discuss the details.
Jennifer: Okay. [Alarm buzzing]
Jennifer: Whoa, what is that?
Smith: Security breach. Stay away from the windows. We're in lock down.
Bo: [Speaks indistinctly] Come on.
Hope: The sirens.
Bo: It's okay.
Hope: They know we've escaped.
Bo: It's okay. We got a good head start.
Hope: Not enough. I'm slowing you down. You got to go without me.
Bo: Yeah, like that's gonna happen.
Hope: If they catch you, you're an accomplice. You have to leave me.
Bo: Would you cut the crap? We're in this together. Come on. Let's go.
EJ: Look, I just think we should talk about strategy here.
EJ: Strategy. Yeah. You know, what happened in Johnny's room earlier, I think we can all agree we don't need a repeat of that.
Sami: For once we agree.
EJ: Look, I understand that this is very difficult for you. And I recognize that, emotionally, you are... whatever. The point being we need to set some ground rules.
EJ: I think that's important.
Will: I'm sorry. You what?
Sami: Will, no.
Will: You want to set some ground rules? How about this? You stop being a jerk.
Sami: Will, it's okay.
Rafe: It's all right.
Will: He doesn't get to talk to her like that. Not after everything he's done to you.
Sami: I know. I know, sweetheart. But we're not gonna go there right now, okay? EJ doesn't-- Dr. Kim.
EJ: Dr. Kim. Please, what's going on with our son?
Kim: The surgery went very well. Johnny is in recovery now, and you can be with him when he wakes up.
EJ: Okay. The cancer?
Kim: Well, we won't know until the lab reports come back absolutely, but both Dr. Jonas and I could not find any sign that the cancer had metastasized. [Cell phone rings] Excuse me.
Sami: Thank God. Thank God.
Brady: Are you sure about that?
Philip: And you didn't tell me?
Victor: Apparently I no longer have the authority to fire you, but may I suggest Hara-Kiri.
Melanie: Hey, Philip, why did I need to call you before I got home?
Vivian: Well, you see, he wanted to protect you from me, but too late.
Melanie: Why is she here? Why hasn't anybody thrown her out on her ass?
Vivian: There's been a coup d'état here, darling. Meet the new CEO of Titan Industries. Ahh! Victor, I'm still processing. I am the boss of you.
Melanie: [Laughs] Yeah, right. That's right?
Kate: Well, since I no longer work for Titan, I would like to point out that you are not the boss of me.
Nicole: Yeah, or me.
Kate: So perhaps I should be the one to throw you the hell out of the house.
Nicole: Ooh, can I help?
Vivian: Oh, now is that any way for two down-and-out house guests to talk? I don't think so.
Victor: Actually, I have no problem with it.
Vivian: Oh, but I do. They're now my house guests. Oh. Oh, oh, oh. News. I forgot. I forgot. You're all looking at Chez Vivian.
Lee: [Sighs] Oh.
Smith: What the hell? What are you doing in here?
Lee: I came back in to talk to Hope after our little encounter. She got me from behind.
Smith: You turned your back on her?
Lee: I was talking to... son of a... that was her husband.
Jennifer: All right. Maybe Bo had a point. This could be too dangerous.
Bo: One foot in front of the other.
Hope: I can't do it.
Bo: Let's go. You can do it. Yes, you can.
Hope: I can't.
Bo: Come on.
Hope: I can't do it, Bo. Just go without me.
Bo: I am not--we are in this together.
Bo: Come on. Here we go.
Bo: Shh. You okay?
Bo: You all right?
Hope: Never been better.
Bo: Come on. Hope? Damn it.
Lexie: He'll be fine, EJ.
EJ: Yeah. Always knew he was gonna be fine.
Lexie: No, you didn't. It was hell.
Daniel: Well, like Dr. Kim said, we need to wait for the tests to be 100% certain, but, you know, it looks good. I think we got it all.
EJ: So can I see him now?
Daniel: Well, he won't be awake for a while, and there's some other things that I'd like to go over with you.
EJ: Right. No, of course. I completely understand. Samantha, would you mind making yourself scarce? Thank you.
Daniel: Well, actually I'd like to talk to you all. This really is a family situation.
Lee: I went to Hope's cell to see what kind of shape she was in. And there was a new guard in there with her.
Smith: I haven't hired any new guards.
Lee: He tried to convince me everything was on the up and up. And then suddenly something hit me on the head from behind. And it was lights out.
Smith: Oh, he knew what he was doing. They went out through the ambulance bay.
Jennifer: Excuse me, did you just say that a prisoner escaped? Is she dangerous?
Lee: Look at me. She's dangerous.
Smith: Take it easy, Lee. We'll figure this out.
Jennifer: Well, is there anything that I can do to help?
Lee: Who the hell is she?
Smith: A new hire. She said she has a background in journalism.
Lee: Just what we need. Spin control.
Smith: Write up some kind of a press release. Here is a prisoner's mug shot. Now if you know how to get this to the media in a hurry, that would be a good thing. Now make sure that it's very clear that this prisoner is a violent offender. She should be considered armed and dangerous.
Bo: Got you. Shh, shh, I got you. It's okay, Fancy Face. It's okay. I'm here. It's gonna be okay. Gonna be okay. I'm here with you. Shh.
Philip: You may have finagled your way into Titan Industries, but this house isn't owned by the corporation.
Philip: Tell me that "well" doesn't mean what I think it means.
Vivian: Being ex-wives of Victor, you know how close he is with a buck. And you two know how he hates the tax man. So he and his accountant held a meeting and declared this house to be Titan's Headquarters. So you see, I, being the CEO of Titan Industries, this all belongs to little, old me.
Victor: I'm out of here.
Vivian: Oh, what's the matter, darling? Stomach churning? Maybe I could get Henderson to get you a Bromo. [Groans] Look at all of you. Look at you, one by one, moving in here, cowering from fear... because of a slender soubrette... who now owns the joint.
Nicole: Well, in case you haven't heard, Brady here has kicked me out, and the only reason I'm under this roof is because I got a text from Victor, and I was hoping that meant he was breathing his last. But since that's not the case, I'm gonna hit the road, so...
Vivian: Oh, no, you're not leaving before I tell you the special revenge I have planned for you. And you.
Lee: You're looking at that like you know her.
Jennifer: Because I do. I do. I recognize her from her trial. Let me get on this.
Smith: Ms. Spencer.
Smith: I hope I don't need to tell you not to do or say anything without clearing it with me.
Jennifer: Yes, ma'am.
Lee: Well, there's a genius move. We're killing people for their body parts, and you hire someone with a journalism background?
Smith: I'm swamped in paperwork.
Lee: It has nothing to do with the fact that she's blonde and pretty.
Smith: Don't start with me, Lee. I'm not the one who turned my back on a woman with a cafeteria tray.
Lee: Because of the guard.
Smith: Describe him to me.
Lee: Dark hair, beard, good-looking. Cheekbones like K.D. Lang.
Smith: That's him. Good.
Smith: In a way, having the commissioner bust Hope out of here is the best thing that could happen to us.
Lee: Are you crazy?
Smith: Shut up.
Jennifer: I'm sorry. There's something really wrong in your office. The computers are down. The phones are shut off.
Lee: You let the commissioner in there alone?
Smith: No. Not today.
Lee: What the hell happened?
Jennifer: All right. I hope I just bought you some time, Bo.
Kim: Johnny's coming out of anesthesia.
Sami: We can go in and see him?
Kim: Yes, you can.
Sami: Great. Dr. Jonas, look, EJ's not handling this stressful situation very well, but we are going to be the family that Johnny needs us to be. Right, EJ?
EJ: I want to see my son. [Monitor beeping]
Sami: My sweet boy. My angel.
EJ: Hey. You feel that? DiMeras are strong. We can overcome anything. So... I'm not afraid. Because you're going to be all right. You're gonna be all right.
Kate: Vivian, I couldn't care less about your plans for revenge because I bore easily. Oh, then there's that other thing. Your plans, they never work out well.
Vivian: Victor, darling, feeling better?
Victor: Much. My lawyers are going to contest every stock transaction you made.
Vivian: Very time-consuming.
Victor: You're right.
Philip: Mel and I were just leaving. Right, Mel?
Melanie: Yes, we were.
Victor: I wish you wouldn't.
Victor: Because while the lawyers are fighting the battle-ax in court, I don't want the good people of Salem chortling over the fact that she drove us out of our own house.
Brady: Wait, wait, wait, you want us to keep living here? With her?
Nicole: Otherwise, it'll look like she has a legitimate claim.
Brady: Shut up, Nicole.
Victor: No, for once, Nicole is right. Well, you got your wish, Vivian. Looks like we're all going to be roomies.
Bo: Hey, hey. I made you some broth. Here. Why don't you sit up?
Hope: Yeah, could you help me?
Bo: Yup. Here we go.
Bo: Sorry, sorry, sorry.
Hope: [Sighs] Mm.
Bo: Is it too hot?
Hope: Mm-mm. No, it tastes good.
Hope: What happened?
Bo: Well, you passed out from pain, exhaustion, maybe both. How are you feeling now?
Hope: I feel a little better. Can I have another sip?
Hope: Mm. Where are we?
Bo: Oh, this is an old fishing cabin my Pop used to bring me to.
Bo: Yeah. That was a long, long time ago. Nobody's gonna be able to connect it to me or the family.
Hope: We're safe here?
Bo: For now.
Hope: Did you really just bust me out of prison?
Bo: Well, technically I took advantage of a lapse on the part of the guard. But yeah. I broke you out of that place.
Hope: You know, I-I kind of do remember you telling me about this cabin. But it's miles from where the prison is.
Hope: You carried me here? All the way?
Bo: Had to get you here somehow.
Hope: They said that... that you believed what I said in that letter. You risked your life for me. I'm so sorry.
Bo: Don't be. I would carry you to the ends of the earth. Don't you know that? Here.
Rafe: Hey, I need to talk to you.
Rafe: Some cancers are genetic, right?
Rafe: Johnny has a twin sister.
Daniel: Yeah, yeah, I'd make an appointment for Dr. Kim to check her eyes. I mean, just to be safe. Now I didn't mention this to Sami because she's already dealing with enough.
Rafe: Well, listen, I need to know everything there is to know before it's too late.
Daniel: What does that mean?
Sami: Maxine is working this floor tonight, and she said it would be okay if I slept here.
Sami: It's okay with the hospital, EJ. I don't see why you should have a problem with it.
EJ: Well, I don't think the hospital has quite the same concerns that I have, do you?
Sami: I'm his mother. Right before he went into surgery, I am the one that he needed. He needs me now.
EJ: And I allowed you to be here through the crisis.
EJ: And now the crisis is over, Samantha. So return to life as normal. That's Johnny's life without you in it.
Sami: EJ... EJ, you can't just...
EJ: No buts. I love my son very dearly, Samantha. But I know that you and Rafe and the rest of your family are looking at this as some opportunity to get Johnny back into your life. That's not gonna happen. I'm gonna make sure that he stays out of it.
Philip: You can't seriously expect me, let alone Melanie, to live under the same roof with her?
Melanie: Yes, he can.
Melanie: One, I hate bullies. Two, I hate running away. And, three, you just love the fact that we're gonna hate living with you, but have you thought about how you're going to feel living with us?
Vivian: Oh, I'm just gonna love watching you all grovel.
Melanie: See, I don't think you've thought this one through. Do you know what it's gonna be like living with a bunch of people who love each other and, I don't know, have friends and regular lives? I mean, isn't that just gonna make you feel even more like a dried-up, over-the-hill, useless old crow?
Victor: She has won a permanent place in my heart.
Nicole: Okay. This is swell. But it still has nothing to do with me, so I'm just gonna go someplace else.
Vivian: Nicole, don't go.
Nicole: You know, maybe you all can play charades or something. It'll be fun.
Vivian: Nicole, when I said, "don't go," I wasn't being nice. That was an order.
Hope: You believe me, don't you? About what's going on in that infirmary?
Bo: With all our problems, I have never doubted your instincts as a cop.
Hope: The warden has proof that I'm a crazy lady.
Bo: Yeah, right. Well, her time in the driver's seat is just about over. We have successfully completed stage one of my plan to put her in prison.
Hope: What's stage one?
Bo: Getting you out of that damn place. And that we have done.
Hope: What about stage two?
Bo: I was hoping you wouldn't ask me that.
Rafe: I don't know if you know this, but right now EJ has custody of Sydney and Johnny.
Rafe: Obviously I have my reasons for not trusting EJ. I'm just concerned he may withhold information. Vital information.
Daniel: Okay, well, if that happens--let's pray it doesn't for Johnny's sake--you know, you tell Sami. I swear I will watch out for Johnny and I will make sure Sydney gets the proper medical care.
Rafe: Thank you.
Daniel: And, you know, Lexie, she'd do the same.
Rafe: Well, I know she'll try, but I also know she's in a very difficult position. EJ has a way of pressuring people into doing things that they don't necessarily want to do.
Sami: You're telling me this here? In front of our son?
EJ: Are you not listening to me? I told you earlier you're no longer a part of Johnny's life.
Sami: I am not walking away from him.
EJ: I will throw you out. If I have to. But for now, I promised my son that you would be here when he woke up. So you will be.
Sami: Wow. Aren't you such a boy scout?
EJ: Johnny means the world to me. You, you're toxic. You know? I don't want you polluting his life. Am I making myself clear?
Sami: But, EJ, you...
EJ: Uh, uh, no, no, no. End of discussion. Okay? When you talk to him later, you will be saying good-bye. And if after you say good night, you hang around, I'm gonna pull out that confession and that gun, the one you shot me with, and you are never going to see Johnny or Sydney again. Are we clear?
Vivian: Something told you to do as I say. That instinct is worth millions. Cherish it. When the alarm goes off, go to your battle stations.
Nicole: Vivian, what do you want?
Vivian: I want you to go back in there and have some eggnog. And then maybe later Santa will pay you an early visit. Henderson! You know, I think I miss Henderson most of all.
Brady: What the hell's going on?
Nicole: I don't know.
Henderson: Madame bellowed?
Vivian: Yes, Henderson. I'd like eggnog all around. Gloriously rum-spiked eggnog.
Kate: I'm in hell. I died without knowing it and woke up in hell.
Victor: She's never going to shut up. Ever, ever, ever, ever.
Vivian: ...Eggnog, we can-- people? People! Eyes on me. Now here we go.
On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me
All: A partridge in a pear tree
Jennifer: All right, is there anything else I can do?
Smith: Oh, no, um, sorry about the baptism by fire. I assure you that this has never happened before on my watch.
Jennifer: It's all right. Here you go. I'm sure it'll never happen again.
Smith: You can count on that.
Guard: Excuse me.
Smith: Have you got something?
Guard: A surveillance shot of the phony guard.
Smith: Oh, show me.
Guard: May I?
Smith: Yeah. [Typing]
Lee: I was right.
Smith: The prisoner's husband. Police Commissioner Bo Brady.
Hope: [Moans] Bo, you're not thinking about this realistically. If you're here with me like this for the duration, what about Ciara?
Bo: She's with Doug and Julie. They're taking very good care of her.
Hope: It's Christmastime.
Bo: Yeah. Who's a better Santa than Doug?
Hope: Do they know where you are? What you're doing? You know the warden's got everyone looking for me by now. She may even have called the Feds by now. That means both of Ciara's parents are in mortal danger. You can't do this.
Bo: Then what do you suggest I do?
Hope: You leave me.
Bo: [Snickers] Forget it.
Hope: You can still get yourself out of this mess. I can't. You need to go home to Ciara. Our baby needs you.
Bo: Our baby needs both her parents. We're gonna get these charges dropped against you. We're gonna straighten everything out. And then we're gonna both go home to our baby. Got that?
Sami: So that's it then? After what has happened to our son, nothing changes for you? Everything you said to me about how you saw how much he needed me, that doesn't affect you at all? What was all that? Just a bunch of lies? You just wanted to raise my hopes so that you could totally kill them right now?
EJ: I said what needed to be said at the time. And if you gleaned anything more from that, then you're a fool.
Sami: Hey, sweetheart. I am so glad you're awake.
EJ: Daddy's very proud of you. I knew that you'd make it. I knew you'd be fine.
Sami: I love you so much.
Sami: Yeah, careful. You can't touch it, okay? You can't touch your eye right now.
EJ: You got a patch. Like a pirate. Like that. Can you say, "arrgh"?
Sami: [Laughs] That's what pirates say. But it didn't hurt, right? Does it hurt now? See. Hey, you know what I brought you? Um, hold on. I brought you a story to read you. Remember? I told you about Johnny Tremain. He's a hero, and his name is Johnny. And I thought I could read you that story tonight. What do you say?
EJ: Oh, that's a great idea, isn't it? A book. You know, Johnny, why don't I read you this story, and then your mommy, she can go home and tell Will and Rafe and Allie that everything's fine. Can't you, sweetheart?
Sami: I'll be back. And until I see you again...
EJ: [Clears throat]
Sami: Until I see you again, Johnny, I don't ever want you to forget how much mommy loves you.
EJ: Yeah, I think he knows that.
Sami: Give me a hug and a kiss good-bye. I love you. Sleepyhead. I'll see you soon, okay?
EJ: Hey, come here. Give your daddy a big hug, bruiser. There we go. There we go. Bigger one. Try a bigger one. Ohh. There we go. [Softly] There we go.
Johnny: Daddy, read me the book.
EJ: You want me to read you the book? Okay. Let's see where we are.
Rafe: So how long does Johnny have to stay in the hospital?
Daniel: That depends on how quickly he heals.
Rafe: Right. Well, if you could keep him here as long as possible and out of that DiMera house, that would be great. Hey. You okay?
Melanie: Oh, no, thank you. That makes me sick.
Philip: Honey. Honey. There's no way we're staying here. Let's go back to Maggie's, and let's get a place of our own.
Melanie: I don't want to do that.
Philip: But that woman tried to kill you.
Melanie: Yeah, that's when she was all about my Mom. She's moved on. I've moved on. She doesn't scare me anymore.
Philip: Well, I just wish we hadn't taken the company public. If we hadn't, this wouldn't be happening. But all my Father could think of was the dollar signs.
Melanie: Yeah, well, it happened. It's over. Vivian's had her big moment. Now it's our turn. Let's torture her together.
Philip: I love you. You know that?
Melanie: You wanna go make out?
Philip: Yeah. Let's go.
Brady: I think I'm gonna get out of here too. The air in here is a bit rancid.
Nicole: Yup, you've heard the man. So as much fun as this party has been, bye.
Vivian: Well, I think I'm gonna get some air. Then I'll retire. I'd like to have lots of energy for tomorrow, so Merry Christmas to both of you.
Victor: She left rather abruptly, don't you think?
Kate: Good God. You know what would make my Christmas really merry?
Victor: Are you going to start your Christmas baking?
Kate: I think that the next time she goes into a coffin, she really needs to be dead first.
Victor: Then it's true. Great minds do think alike.
Vivian: Nicole. You almost left without your Christmas present.
Nicole: Yes, well, maybe you haven't noticed, but Brady and I can't stand being in the same room together.
Vivian: Now how would Santa feel if he caught you lying?
Nicole: Excuse me?
Vivian: You and Brady love being in the same room. Especially when you think you're alone.
Rafe: Assuming you don't want anything to eat.
Sami: I can't eat. I can't believe that he would send me away on my son's worst day. I just want this to be over.
Rafe: Hey. Sami. We're gonna figure this out.
Sami: I don't want to have to figure things out anymore. I just want this to end, Rafe. I just... I just want it to end.
Rafe: I know.
Smith: Add Bo Brady's name to the APB. And alert the manhunt that he's also a suspect, armed and dangerous.
Guard: Commissioner Bo Brady?
Smith: Not for long.
Guard: You mean his career is over?
Smith: I mean his life is over.
Bo: I'm gonna go out and take a look around. You gonna be okay here alone?
Hope: I'm used to it.
Bo: Now don't do anything stupid.
Hope: Be careful.
Bo: Always am.
On the next "Days of Our Lives" --
Vivian: Oh, what a tangled web we weave...
Smith: I will have my prisoner back tonight.
Bo: You and I are gonna go through this together.
