Brady: Hey, Bo.
Bo: Hey, man.
Brady: Hey, do you know where Maggie's room is?
Bo: Not here. They sent her home.
Brady: They sent her home. Okay, thanks. I'm gonna catch her there, then.
Bo: Yeah, whoa, hold on. What the hell happened with Maggie, anyway?
Brady: Bo, exactly what I told you in the police report. Really, word for word. I don't have anything to add to it. Thanks.
Bo: Right. Word for word. Hey, you.
Carly: Hi. My favorite visitor.
Bo: How you doing, you crazy, crazy woman?
Carly: I'm good, I'm good. I'm stronger, and I'm anxious to get out of here.
Bo: Well, you-- from what your doctor told me, you will be out of here tomorrow.
Carly: I know. He told me that too. If I rest, if my vitals do everything they're supposed to do.
Bo: Okay. Well, then, I will let you rest, and let your vitals do what they're supposed to do, because I've got some stuff I have to take care of.
Carly: Okay, wait. Whoop! Uh-uh. It's Hope, isn't it? That's why you seem so distracted. So come on, talk to me.
Hope: Hey, did you find out anything more about Pam?
Tina: Why do you care so much? I mean, it's not like you even know the girl.
Hope: Why does it matter why I care? Just tell me how she's doing after surgery. Please.
Tina: Okay, I guess you had reason to worry. Poor thing, she died on the operating table.
Hope: My God. No.
Jennifer: All right, come on in. Careful.
Maggie: It's so good to be home.
Jennifer: I'm sure it feels good. Here, sit down. Sit down right here. There you go.
Maggie: Jennifer, I'm fine.
Jennifer: You are not fine. The doctor said that you need to take it easy. Now, sit down. Are you hungry? Let me make you something to eat.
Maggie: Not at all. Not at all. And you need to go and do some Christmas shopping.
Jennifer: I am not going to leave you here by yourself. Do you hear me?
Maggie: I won't be by myself. Melanie and Philip, they left a message. They texted me while we were on our way over here, and they'll be here in about a half an hour.
Jennifer: You're trying to get rid of me, aren't you?
Maggie: Never. You need to go, and you need to do some shopping for your daughter. And I want to thank you so much for being such an angel.
Jennifer: I love you. I love you so much, aunt Maggie. And I can't tell you how relieved I am that you're okay.
Maggie: Me too. Me too.
Jennifer: All right. Well, I'm gonna go, okay? I'm gonna go, but I'm gonna call you to make sure that Philip and Melanie are here. Okay?
Maggie: Okay. Thanks again. I love you.
Gus: I just don't see how you can pull off such an epic revenge.
Vivian: My epic revenge correlates perfectly with my epic rage. You see, my pessimistic friend, that's what propels me and helps me to punish the people the way they deserve to be punished.
Gus: It's just that I--
Vivian: What? Just that what? That you don't have the guts to help me go through with this?
Gus: No, that's not it.
Vivian: Oh, then you step up to the plate! Victor and Kate and Philip and Nicole and Brady deserve to pay for the hell they put me through. And if you can't do it, I'll do it on my own.
Victor: I promise you, Kate, I won't let Vivian hurt you.
Stefano: Well... look at you two. Commiserating about your respective spouses, I assume.
Stefano: It must be quite a comfort for the both of you, huh? To have someone to lean on.
Kate: That's not what I--
Stefano: What? That's not what? What the hell's going on with you two?
Carly: They put Hope in solitary?
Bo: Yeah. She stole a doctor's cell phone, apparently, to talk to Jennifer. But the call was disconnected before she was able to say anything.
Carly: So you think she was calling about the deaths in the infirmary?
Bo: I don't think she would have risked it otherwise.
Carly: So what are you thinking?
Bo: That someone died for no good reason.
Carly: Dear God!
Bo: And Hope was put in solitary for no good reason.
Carly: Somebody must want her out of the way.
Bo: Yeah. They know that she's on to them. Young people dying from broken legs...appendicitis? There's something rotten going on in that prison.
Lee: How'd your meeting with Bo Brady go?
Warden: As well as could be expected. He was a bit defensive at first. But then I explained that Hope had regressed-- had a psychological setback, as it were.
Lee: And he bought that?
Warden: Well, since the woman tried to burn him alive, I think he was willing to consider that she might not be on solid ground these days.
Lee: Right. Of course.
Warden: But Hope is another matter. She's convinced you're the reason people are dying like flies in here.
Lee: What? She said that?
Warden: Well, not in so many words, of course. But she does think you may have homicidal tendencies.
Warden: Michaels, don't worry. I'll protect you.
Lee: Well, what if Hope suspects that you and I are connected?
Warden: Connected? Oh, no...she doesn't. And I'm gonna make sure she never does.
Hope: She just had a simple hand surgery.
Tina: Oh, people die from all sorts of weird stuff.
Hope: Do you have any more information? Who did you talk to?
Tina: The lady in the infirmary told me. That trustee. What's her name again? Um...
Tina: Yeah, Lee.
Hope: Lee was there?
Hope: I thought for sure the warden would have removed her by now. Put her in solitary.
Tina: No, that didn't happen. Actually, the warden and this Lee woman, they're real tight, from what I've seen.
Hope: Oh, my God. The warden knows. And she knows I'm on to her.
Maggie: It's all right. The nightmares are all over. And you're home now, Maggie. You're safe. You're home. Back with the ones that you love. Now that I'm here, I can put it all behind me. You'll give me the strength to do that, won't you, my darling? Won't you, my darling?
[Knock on door]
Brady: Maggie. I--I heard-- I went to the hospital. They said you had come home. I came by to see if you were all right, and... clearly you're not all right. You're still in hell, aren't you?
Kate: Nothing is going on. I just happened to run into him, and--
Stefano: Why didn't you keep running?
Kate: Why? Well, we were...
Stefano: Finish your sentence.
Kate: We were discussing a family issue.
Stefano: Ah, I see. Since the only common family that you have is, um, Philip. So I guess there's something wrong with him. Well, if there is, perhaps I can help.
Victor: How, by putting another hit on him?
Stefano: I thought the Kiriakises and the DiMeras had made peace.
Kate: I promise you there is nothing to worry about here.
Stefano: Oh, listen, I'm not worried in the least. But I'm not stupid. If you're confiding in him, it must mean that you're keeping something else from me...again.
Tina: What are you talking about, girl? The warden knows what?
Hope: Nothing. It doesn't concern you.
Tina: Yeah, well, it better not. I've got enough problems as it is. If people get wind I've been gossiping with you, then they--
Hope: They won't. They won't. I swear, I'll never mention your name. You bring me my meals, that's it. That's all.
Tina: Okay, good. Thanks. Hey, you know, you better eat those fish sticks before they get cold.
Hope: I can't. I feel sick to my stomach.
Tina: Okay, then. It's a shame for them to go to waste.
Hope: Yeah, I agree. Sorry about this.
Maggie: Brady, I'm fine. Not 100%, but I'm getting there.
Brady: That's--that's good to hear.
Maggie: And you know, I wanted to thank you for helping to save me.
Brady: Don't you-- don't you thank me. You don't owe me any thanks. You've been so good to me. Not just as a sponsor, but as a friend. And I don't even know where the hell I would be without you. Are you sure you're okay? I think you might have left the hospital a little too early, Maggie.
Maggie: No, I don't want to go back there. And what I feel physically is not the problem.
Brady: Then what is?
Kate: I was not confiding in Victor.
Stefano: Then what the hell were you doing? You're holding his arm, he's holding your arm.
Victor: Oh, for God's sake, Stefano, calm down before you have a coronary. We were talking about our son-- whether or not he and Melanie should move into the mansion.
Stefano: [Scoffs] As if I trust anything you have to say.
Victor: You know, you're making a damned fool of yourself. I'm going home.
Stefano: Not until you tell me what's going on with you two.
Vivian: I called you here because I have a plan to get even with Victor and company. And if I do say so myself, it's devilishly clever.
Maxine: Another setback. Does that mean that--
Ben: It means we have to act fast. Time's running out.
Maxine: Poor woman. I was just in there this morning. She seemed to be doing fine. Showed me pictures of her daughter. I don't know.
Jennifer: Please tell me you're not talking about Carly. Please.
Ben: No, no, no, no, no, no, Carly's fine. In fact, she's gonna be released in the morning. This is another patient of mine. She needs a heart transplant. She's a young mother of three.
Maxine: Beautiful kids. Littlest one's only two. Husband brought her by the other day. Just learning to talk, bless her heart. I'll go look in on her, Doctor.
Ben: Thank you, Maxine. Excuse me, I need to check the transplant registry.
Jennifer: Oh, that's-- well, good luck with your patient.
Ben: Thank you.
Jennifer: Oh, hey, how's Carly doing?
Bo: Oh, much better, thank you.
Jennifer: Good. And what about Hope? Have you been able to get in touch with her?
Bo: I'm still waiting to hear from my political connections. I'm calling in a couple of favors. You know what, I'm gonna try them again.
Jennifer: All right. Keep me posted, okay?
Bo: Yeah, if I hear anything, I'll let you know.
Jennifer: All right. See you in a bit.
Lee: Sit down, please.
Charlene: Don't give me orders. Okay? If I want to sit, I'll sit.
Lee: Fine. As you wish.
Charlene: What the hell is this all about?
Warden: We're transferring you to another prison, Charlene. Tomorrow.
Charlene: You've gotta be kidding! Look that cop they say I had a hit out on, she set me up. What was I supposed to do, let her get away with that crap?
Warden: What's the name of your arresting officer?
Charlene: [Scoffs] Yeah, like you don't know.
Warden: Charlene, tell me the name of the officer who put you away.
Charlene: Hope Brady. Is that news to you?
Warden: It is. I had no idea.
Charlene: Right. Then why am I being transferred?
Warden: We're transferring you due to overcrowding. We'll be sending another prisoner with you.
Warden: This is the warden. Bring her in.
Charlene: Look, I don't know what kind of racket you guys are running here, but I am the last person you want to play. You hear me? The last.
Officer: Prisoner Brady was caught trying to escape, Warden.
Charlene: You! I'll kill you, you bitch!
Victor: I'm only going to say this once... there is nothing going on between Kate and me. We were talking about Philip, who happens to be our son. So you're just going to have to get used to the fact that your beloved wife and I have an interest in him, and may want to get together from time to time and chat about him!
Kate: Stefano... I know that my actions hurt you, but you ordered me out of the house. There's nothing going on here.
Stefano: You disappoint me, Katherine. More and more.
Kate: Well, he's not gonna let this go.
Victor: He can't read your mind, Kate. He's just guessing that there's something else going on.
Kate: You're probably right. But I can't waver, because he absolutely cannot find out about this Vivian debacle.
Jennifer: Oh, look at you. You look great. I am so glad that you're okay.
Jennifer: You're brave, you know that?
Carly: No, I'm not. I did it for my daughter. You would have done it for Abby or Jack Jr.
Carly: Your friendship means so much to me, Jennifer.
Jennifer: And yours to me too. I know I was really hard on you the other day, and I apologize. It's just-- it's hard to see you and Bo together.
Carly: You don't need to explain. Hope is your cousin. You should feel loyal to her. Why wouldn't you?
Jennifer: I know. But I know that when-- when you came back to Salem, Bo and Hope were already separated. So whatever happened, I know that it's not your fault.
Carly: Thanks for saying that.
Jennifer: It's just hard. I love her, and I love you. And I just-- I don't want to take sides. I just want everybody to be okay.
Jennifer: Hey. What's going on? Have you gotten through to anybody about Hope?
Charlene: You're a dead woman! You hear me? Dead! Dead!
Lee: You all right? Maybe we should get you to the infirmary.
Hope: No. Not there.
Warden: What's the matter? You afraid you'll die in there? That Lee will arrange for your untimely demise? I've looked into your accusations and your allegations, Hope. And based on their outrageous nature, we've concluded that you harbor paranoid delusions. That must be why you thought it was necessary to attempt an escape.
Hope: I wasn't trying to escape. I just couldn't take it in solitary anymore. That's all.
Warden: That's all?
Hope: I want to see my attorney.
Warden: I'm sure you do.
Hope: You know, you may be able to keep me from having contact with my family, but I have a right to counsel.
Warden: After what you just pulled, I don't think so.
Hope: What I just pulled?
Warden: Attacking a fellow inmate in your cell... trying to escape? I am afraid that you have lost all rights, Officer Brady. In fact, I'm gonna make arrangements to have you transferred to another prison. Higher security. How's tomorrow work for you? No other plans, I trust.
Stefano: Harold, I do not want to see anyone. Whoever it is, tell them to go to hell.
Vivian: Certainly not me. Oh, Stefano, lovely to see you. You're looking so...dapper.
Stefano: Vivian, you are back--oh, joy!
Vivian: Did you miss me?
Stefano: What the hell do you want?
Vivian: It's not what I want, it's what you want. Answers. And you lucky man, this is your lucky day, you handsome devil. I'm here to provide them.
Maggie: Vivian told me what you did, Brady. That you put her in the sarcophagus, and you left her there for weeks.
Brady: Mm-hmm. Did she happen to mention why I did it? Because she was gonna do it to you.
Maggie: I've done a lot of thinking about that. And I think I can understand how you might have come up with that decision in the heat of the moment... in your anger...in your protectiveness of me. And to prevent Vivian from getting away.
Brady: That's exactly why I did it.
Maggie: But to leave her there?
Brady: I didn't have a choice, Maggie.
Maggie: You could have called the police.
Brady: And what? Had her tell them that this ex-druggie-drunk made it all up, because he's so crazy and vindictive, and I made her the scapegoat-- come on. She would have squirmed her way out of it, Maggie. You know that as well as I do.
Maggie: But you're not above the law, Brady.
Brady: I understand that I'm not above the law, but you need to understand that I did it for everyone. I didn't just do it for me. I had to put her in that sarcophagus, because that was the only way to keep everybody safe. Yes, I had my pangs of conscience, Maggie, but you know what, you're here. Vivian's out. Everyone's fine. I'm happy the way I handled it. She deserved everything she got. And if I had to do it again, I would do it again in a minute.
Maggie: If I didn't know better, I'd think I was listening to your grandfather.
Hope: Transferred? Where?
Hope: That's at the other end of the state. At least a five-hour drive. What about my family? How will I see them?
Warden: You should have thought about your family when you made your escape attempt.
Hope: This isn't about me escaping. It's about you wanting me gone.
Warden: I'll admit I am a little disappointed in you, Hope. You went from being a model prisoner to a high-priority problem in no time flat. It's a shame, really, to self-destruct like that.
Hope: This isn't over, Warden. Getting rid of me isn't going to stop me from finding out what's going on in here.
Warden: Whatever's going on in here is all in your delusional mind, Hope. After all, you tried to burn your husband alive. You must be very tormented deep down. But once you're away in that other place, hopefully the paranoia will fade. You'll have other issues to contend with.
Brady: Look, if you're trying to insult me, you're--
Maggie: Trying? No, I'm not trying, Brady. I am insulting you. So that maybe you'll see the error of your ways. And that you'll never consider doing something so horrible again. What did you expect... that I would approve of such ugliness? That I'd have a little giggle over it, or pat you on the back and say how crafty you were to shove a woman in a coffin, and let her stay there until she went crazy?
Brady: She didn't.
Maggie: No thanks to you.
Brady: Maggie, she was crazy to begin with. She's crazy and she's evil, and she was out to hurt you. You, of all people. The sweetest, kindest person on earth she wanted to hurt!
Maggie: You can compliment me until the cows come home, but I am still gonna be furious with you... and totally disappointed. As your mother would be. [Stifled gasp] How would Isabella have felt if she knew what you did? Have you given that any thought?
Maggie: You have?
Brady: More than you know. And here's what I've realized. Maybe I am a little bit like Victor. Maybe I'm like Victor in a lot of ways. And maybe, just maybe... that's not such a bad thing.
Vivian: I think it's time you knew the truth.
Stefano: What truth?
Vivian: Maybe you should sit down.
Stefano: Oh, come on, Vivian, just spit it out.
Vivian: All right, all right. I did not leave Salem on a sojourn. Oh, no, no, no. I was locked away.
Stefano: What the hell are you talking about?
Vivian: I was left to die in a mausoleum, in a toxic sarcophagus. And you know who did it? Brady. The good and noble Brady, no less.
Stefano: Hmm. Like I give a damn?
Vivian: Oh, I think you will.
Stefano: I will when hell freezes over, you mean.
Vivian: No, when you find out that your wife was involved.
Vivian: That's what was going on at the pier. Kate was conspiring with Victor to keep it from you.
Stefano: How do you know about this?
Vivian: Because I lived it, my dear. Kate's the one that found me in that stupid coffin. And then she didn't even do the humane thing and let me out. She just walked away.
Stefano: Good call on her part.
Vivian: You know, you can sneer at my suffering if you want, Stefano, but the fact is that Kate was in league with Victor Kiriakis. And as far as I'm concerned, even if you make light of it, I think that is the ultimate betrayal. You have been made a damned fool of, Stefano.
Warden: Gather your belongings. You'll be moving out of here first thing tomorrow morning.
Hope: Can I contact my family?
Warden: They'll be notified. We need an escort for inmate Brady. Thank you. So we don't have any more escape issues.
Hope: Warden, please.
Warden: You've had your chance, and you blew it. Good luck in your future rehabilitation, Hope. We'll miss you here.
Lee: Maybe we shouldn't go through with this. Putting her in the van with Charlene? Charlene's out for blood.
Warden: And so is Hope-- out for ours. We have to protect ourselves.
Lee: Yeah. But maybe--
Warden: But maybe what? We click our ruby slippers together and all go back to Kansas?
Lee: Hope knows that people have died here. But she doesn't know exactly what we're doing in the infirmary, or why.
Warden: Hope is a good cop. The longer she stays here... the more likely she is to find out.
Warden: This is the warden.
Ben: Jane, it's Ben Walters.
Warden: Dr. Walters... it's good to hear from you again. How can I be of service?
Stefano: Tell me, Vivian, why should I believe a card-carrying troublemaker like you?
Vivian: Oh, well, you don't have to believe me if you choose not to. But I'll just tell you another little thing I heard, and then I'll be on my way.
Stefano: What else did you hear?
Vivian: Well, that your wife is keeping a little secret from you, but she happily confided in Victor. But you're not interested. So I'll just run along.
Kate: What the hell are you doing here?
Vivian: Ask your better half. My work is done.
[Knock on door]
Victor: Maggie, I know you said you never wanted to see me again.
Maggie: And I meant it. Leave, and don't come back.
Victor: And I meant what I said too when I rescued you. I love you. Did you hear me? I said--
Maggie: How would Isabella have felt if she knew what you did? Have you given that any thought?
Vivian: Trying to block out your conscience-- what you have left of it?
Brady: Get the hell out of here.
Vivian: [Chuckles] Oh, how the righteous have fallen.
Brady: Go. Go!
Vivian: You enjoying your downward spiral? Certainly redefining the term.
Brady: I did one good thing, though, didn't I? I put you in a box.
Vivian: Even if it hurt the ones you love the most in the end.
Brady: Don't you push me. Don't do it. You know what happens when you push me.
Bo: There's gotta be a way to get to her.
Jennifer: What about the governor's office? You were gonna try to get through to them.
Bo: Yeah, I haven't heard from them yet. I probably won't until tomorrow.
Jennifer: That's okay. I mean, I am sure that Hope will be okay till then.
Bo: Yeah, it's a nice thought. But I'm not so sure.
Ben: Yeah, it turns out I need a heart for transplant sooner than expected.
Warden: It shouldn't be a problem, Dr. Walters. We've had a recent death here in the prison. If nothing goes wrong, we should have a heart to you very soon.
Officer: You even think about doing anything stupid again, I'm gonna be right outside.
Hope: What is going on in here? The warden and Lee are killing those patients. Oh... what are they gonna do to me?
Stefano: If I remember correctly, I threw you out of this house, Katherine.
Kate: I left some things behind.
Stefano: Oh? Go get them.
Kate: I suppose Vivian told you about my part in her ordeal.
Stefano: Yes, she did. And I applauded you.
Kate: You did?
Stefano: Why wouldn't I?
Kate: So you're not angry?
Stefano: Oh, I didn't say that.
Kate: I should have told you.
Stefano: You should have. Yes. But what the hell. [Chuckles] You have a Kiriakis to confide in.
Kate: There's nothing between us. You're the only man I care about.
Stefano: You sure have strange ways of showing it.
Kate: I know that. And I truly, truly regret it.
Stefano: The paternity test came back. Chad is my son. He is a DiMera... in case you were wondering.
Kate: Do you want to talk about it? Okay, fine. I am going to go upstairs, I'm going to gather my things, and I'll give you some time to cool down.
Stefano: It's gonna be a long, long time before I cool down, Katherine. Because it's a lot worse than you think. Much worse.
Vivian: Gus, it's me. Uh, are you in, or am I flying solo? Ah. Excellent. Now, we have to move quickly so justice can be served. And believe me, justice will be poetic. Now, let's go over the plan, shall we?
Ben: Wait. Whoa, whoa. What does that mean, "If nothing goes wrong"?
Warden: We've just had a few minor problems here, Doctor. But I'm handling them. It isn't serious.
Ben: I hope not.
Warden: We'll be in touch. You can count on getting what you need by tomorrow. Take care. Something on your mind?
Lee: What if this all backfires?
Warden: Lee, did you forget to take your valium today?
Lee: I'm serious, damn it! You said yourself, Hope's a good cop. A trained professional. What makes you so sure she can't hold her own against Charlene?
Warden: Oh, let's see, for one thing, Charlene weighs three times what Hope does. For another, Hope will be handcuffed...Charlene won't.
Jennifer: Oh, Dr. Walters, hey.
Ben: Hey, Jennifer. How's Dr. Manning doing?
Jennifer: She's doing great and going home tomorrow, like you told me earlier.
Ben: I did.
Jennifer: Listen, I was wondering about the patient that you and Maxine were talking about earlier. Did you find a heart for her?
Ben: Uh, no. No, not yet. I mean, there's a possibility of one coming in tomorrow, but we're checking for others, just in case it doesn't happen.
Jennifer: Good. Well, I mean, I hope it works out. I'm sure it's nerve-racking, to say the least. Especially a patient, you know, that's so young, has so much to live for.
Ben: Yeah. Yeah, it's definitely pretty intense. But thank you for your concern.
Carly: Maybe you should go home and get some rest. You have a very big day tomorrow.
Bo: Says the woman in bed.
Bo: Thank you for your support. It's keeping me going.
Carly: I know what it feels like to have someone you care about in trouble... and what you'll go through to help them.
Bo: Like you did for your daughter.
Carly: And like you will for Hope.
Hope: Three women dead... that I know of. You're so desperate to get rid of me. What the hell is going on in here?
On the next "Days of Our Lives" --
Brady: Don't talk like that about Nicole. I have her back, and she has mine.
EJ: If you have any contact with Brady, all bets are off.
Kate: Can we move past this?
