Victor: There were fumes. You're fine now. You're gonna be fine.

Maggie: I thought... Victor, I thought I heard you say...

Victor: I love you.

Maggie: Oh.

Victor: I did. I do. Maggie? Maggie? Maggie, no! Maggie!

[Vivian laughing]

Victor: Maggie!

Lee: Hope.

Hope: Huh?

Lee: This is Pam. She came in yesterday with a cut tendon. Doctor stitched her up, but she's gonna need surgery.

Hope: I'll get the paperwork. Have a seat. Looks like a pretty bad cut. What happened?

Pam: Kitchen duty. Had a disagreement with someone over the way I was scrambling the eggs. Told her, "This ain't Top Chef."

Hope: I see. So, Pam, last name?

Pam: Cox.

Hope: Emergency contact?

Pam: I ain't got one.

Hope: No family on the outside?

Pam: Nope. Is that a problem?

Hope: I, uh--I think it could be. Listen to me very carefully. Whatever you do, do not sign the consent form. Demand to have your surgery done at University Hospital.

Pam: Why?

Hope: Because if you stay here, you're risking your life.

Rafe: This ring is a token of my love and devotion. With this ring, I thee wed.

Father James: Samantha?

Sami: This ring is a token of my love and devotion. With this ring, I thee wed. I think this is the part where you're supposed to say, "I now pronounce you..."

Rafe: Yeah.

Father James: Actually, uh, Rafael has one more surprise.

Rafe: That's right, yeah. Gabi.

Sami: What--? Rafe.

Rafe: Yep.

Sami: What is that?

EJ: They're doing what? The children are there? They're watching this bloody thing? Son of a bitch! That bloody fool of a woman! A fool! Idiot!

Nicole: Hey, EJ, you know you almost hit me with that glass.

EJ: I mean, what--what is she thinking? What the hell is she thinking?

Nicole: Maybe we should have Mary clean it up before someone slips or it stains--

EJ: What? What? I don't care about a stain on the carpet, Nicole! I care about the fact that Samantha is off, marrying that Neanderthal as we speak!

Nicole: Tonight?

EJ: Yes, tonight! Are we not speaking tonight? I give her 24 hours to say good-bye to those children, and what does she do? She throws a--God! A wedding!

Nicole: Well, are you jealous? Why don't you just go there and object?

EJ: Jealous? No, I'm not jealous. What I am is offended. And what I object to is the fact that she's putting my children through this farce! Johnny and Sydney are standing there, bearing witness to this, thinking they're gonna be part of some happy family for the rest of their lives!

Nicole: All right. Just calm down a second, okay? Sami was extremely insensitive to do this. She should have known better, okay? But EJ, look, you won. After tonight, Sami will never be able to see her children again.

EJ: Damn right she won't. I'll make sure of that.

Victor: Come on, Maggie. Don't give up. Not now. She's still breathing. Thank God.

Brady: I'm gonna call 911.

Victor: Tell them to hurry. And tell them to make sure they send a squad car.

Johnny: Last one.

Rafe: Yep.

Sami: Good job getting it all clean. Thank you.

Rafe: What do you say we put it on together, huh?

Caroline: It's pretty.

Sami: Right here?

Rafe: Perfect.

Sami: Perfect.

Will: Yay. Okay, that was fun. Isn't that a little early, though? I mean, it's not even Thanksgiving yet.

Rafe: I know that. Yes. I just thought it would be fun, since we're all here together as a family. Right?

Sami: Yeah, of course.

Rafe: We're actually not quite finished. I still have one more thing that we need to do, all right? So what do you say, kids? You guys ready for the main event?

Johnny: Yeah!

Rafe: All right. Let's do this.

Pam: What are you talking about? How am I risking my life?

Hope: All I meant... [Clears throat] Was that, uh, you know, the prison O.R. isn't equipped to do delicate hand surgery. Their machines, they're beyond ancient.

Pam: Are you kidding me? I don't want to lose my hand.

Hope: You won't. Just do as I said. Stand your ground and insist on having the operation somewhere else. Don't tell them you heard it from me, okay?

Pam: Thanks, lady. Hey, you.

Lee: Is there a problem?

Pam: Yeah. I want to get looked at by a real surgeon. Get me to University Hospital.

Lee: Hope, what'd you say to her?

Pam: She didn't say nothing to me. Any idiot could see this place is a dump. I wouldn't trust you guys to give me a Band-aid.

Warden Smith: Lee, what's going on in here?

Lee: Ms. Cox here wants her surgery moved to University Hospital.

Warden Smith: I'm sorry, Pam, but that's not possible.

Pam: Why not?

Warden Smith: University Hospital just had an outbreak of a disease called the Loma Virus.

Hope: I've never heard of that. Is it serious?

Warden Smith: It can be. They got the situation contained, but now they're swamped. It's all over the Internet.

Hope: Excuse me, Warden. My family and friends work there. Any idea how many people have been infected?

Warden Smith: Of the staff, just two.

Hope: Do you know their names?

Warden Smith: [Sighs] The article said Nurse Melanie Kiriakis and Dr. Nathan Horton.

Hope: Nathan. He's my cousin.

Detective Hansen: Do you understand these rights as they've been read to you?

Vivian: I'm no fool. I'm not gonna talk until I have a lawyer here.

Detective Hansen: Thank the Lord.

Vivian: Oh!

EMT: You coming with us?

Victor: Brady, you need my help?

Brady: No. Go ahead. I'll take care of Viv.

Vivian: I don't think she's going to make it.

Brady: You better pray she does, 'cause if she doesn't, you're gonna be facing murder charges.

Father James: Rafael has requested a special ceremony involving these cords.

Johnny: What are they for?

Father James: I'll let Great-grandma Caroline explain.

Caroline: There is a powerful lesson to be learned in the book of Ecclesiastes. It reads, "One may be overcome. Two can defend themselves. But a cord of three strands cannot be easily broken. There are a lot of challenges ahead of you, both of you. And one might be overcome, but the two of you can overcome any obstacle, especially when your bond is strengthened by a third party--God.

Father James: Caroline's right. A bond of three makes for a mighty strong union. But add the love of four more-- now, that is unbreakable. Rafael, Samantha, William, John, Alice, Sydney, and Gabriela, today, your family is forming a very special bond. This is symbolized by the binding of the cords. Woven together, you shall forever be connected to each other and to God. And this single unit, held together by love and devotion, shall withstand any and all outside forces, today, tomorrow, and for all the days of your lives.

Nicole: If it makes you feel any better, uh, Sami's marriages never last more than six months. Her marriage to my brother was less than 24 hours.

EJ: You know what, actually? I hope this one sticks. I can't think of a more fitting punishment than for her to have to spend the rest of her life with that idiot. Let him have her. I think I have what is actually important, don't you?

Nicole: Speaking of the kids, if there's anything I can do, I'll do it.

EJ: Actually, there is something you can do. Something important.

Jennifer: Hey, Dr. Walters, I was, uh, wondering if you could tell me how my cousin's doing?

Jason: Uh, I don't have any good news yet, unfortunately. But listen, you know, um, about earlier, I just wanted to say I'm sorry for cutting you off. You know, I didn't mean to be rude.

Jennifer: No. You know what? I really should be the one apologizing.

Jason: No.

Jennifer: I mean, when I first met you, I was just-- oh, my God. Aunt Maggie! What happened?

Jason: What do we have here?

Jennifer: What is going on?

EMT: The patient was in and out of consciousness. Received two liters of normal saline. BP is 100 over 60. The heart rate's 100.

Jason: 100? All right. Let's get her into Room 314.

Jennifer: Hi, I'm here. I'm here.

Maggie: You're home.

Jennifer: Yes, I'm home, and I'm not going anywhere. You're not going anywhere either, do you hear me?

Jason: Okay, we've got to get moving.

Maggie: Okay.

Jennifer: Maggie, I'm gonna be right here, okay? I love you.

Maggie: Okay. I love you.

Victor: Oh, Doctor, wait. She was exposed to toxic fumes. I don't know exactly what the chemicals were.

Jason: Okay. We'll take good care of her.

Jennifer: Toxic fumes? What happened to her? Where was she?

Justin: And when I got to the mausoleum, I ran into Vivian's assistant, Gus. He wouldn't let me pass, so I knocked him out.

Vivian: Brute! I demand to see my sweet, innocent Augustine. Where is he?

Detective Hansen: Settle down, Ms. Alamain. We have your friend in our custody. I assure you he's receiving the proper medical care.

Vivian: I certainly hope so. Otherwise, you're gonna have a big, fat lawsuit.

Detective Hansen: Go on, Mr. Black.

Brady: And then, when I entered the crypt, I saw Vivian about to stab my grandfather, but I managed to stop her in time.

Detective Hansen: And Mrs. Horton?

Brady: My grandfather released her from the sarcophagus. I don't know how long she was in there. Could have been a day, could have been weeks.

Detective Hansen: How'd she survive without food and water?

Brady: Oh, Vivian, she used this, uh, food tube to keep her alive. And it barely kept her alive, actually.

Detective Hansen: This is the craziest story that I've ever heard. I mean, keeping a woman locked in a coffin? What kind of sicko would do something like that? Okay, well, I think I have all the information that I need. If you guys want to step outside--

Vivian: Uh, just a minute, Detective. Mr. Black hasn't told the whole story, and he's not leaving until he does.

Father James: Lord, we ask that you bless Samantha and Rafael as they embark on their new life together, and may it be one of laughter and joy, of peace and happiness, and may their love for one another continue to grow from this day forward, amen.

All: Amen.

Father James: Would you please face each other and hold hands? Your commitment to each other, body and soul, is finally complete, and in the presence of your family and before God, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.

Rafe: Well, Mrs. Hernandez.

Sami: [Laughs]

Rafe: How does it feel?

Sami: For the first time in my life, I feel like anything is possible.

Rafe: Yeah. Well, God gave us one miracle. Maybe he'll give us another.

Gabi: Hey, look, a shooting star.

Caroline: Oh, quick, you two. Make a wish.

Hope: Warden, what did you find out?

Warden Smith: [Exhales] Your cousin and the nurse are in quarantine. They're holding up, but the doctors need to find a cure soon. Otherwise, it could be bad.

Hope: I can't believe this. Poor Nathan. And Melanie--she's my sister-in-law.

Warden Smith: I'm sorry, Hope, I wish I had better news.

Hope: Yeah. Well, thank you. Thank you, Warden. I really appreciate you looking into this for me.

Warden Smith: Well, we do what we can to help each other out around here. It's the only way to survive.

Detective Hansen: I thought you were invoking your right to remain silent.

Vivian: I am not making a statement. I'm just telling you that Mr. Black's story wasn't complete.

Detective Hansen: Listen, lady, you're gonna get a chance to--

[Cell phone rings]

Detective Hansen: I'm sorry, I have to take this. I'll be right outside, so no funny business.

Vivian: Sure, take your time. It's not like I have nothing else to do.

[Door slams shut]

Vivian: Did you really think I was gonna let you get away with that?

Brady: Let's get something straight right now. I don't care if you tell them everything that I did to you, all right? But you are gonna leave everybody else out of this-- Grandfather, Kate, Philip, Nicole, everyone else. Do you hear what I'm saying to you, old woman?

Vivian: [Groans] Okay, Brady, I'm sorry, but if this old woman is taking a rap, everyone's going down with me!

Victor: I'm afraid there's not much I can tell you, Jennifer. But rest assured, the police are investigating the incident.

Jennifer: What incident? What happened?

Victor: I'm not sure. I don't know all the details.

Jennifer: Well, tell me what you do know, please.

Victor: Jennifer, I can't talk about this right now. Can't you see I'm upset about Maggie?

Jennifer: Victor, please, at least tell me where she's been. I've been trying to get a hold of her since I got back into town. Does she even know about Nathan?

Victor: No. And I don't think we should tell her. Not yet, anyway.

Jennifer: I am warning you, if anything happens to my Aunt Maggie--

Victor: How is she, Doctor?

Jason: Oh, well, all things considered, she's doing surprisingly well.

Jennifer: Great. Can I see her, please?

Jason: Uh, she's sleeping at the moment, but as long as you're quiet.

Jennifer: I will be.

Jason: Okay.

Gabi: That was such a beautiful ceremony. You guys make a beautiful family.

Caroline: It's getting a little cold. Why don't we go back to the pub and celebrate?

Sami: That sounds like a great idea, Grandma. We'll meet you there.

Caroline: All right. Oh, hey.

Rafe: See you soon.

Sami: Hey, you know, I've been thinking. I'm so glad that we didn't tell the kids about what's gonna happen, right? Because maybe it won't. I've just been wanting to believe this whole time that a miracle could happen, and after this wonderful night, maybe there will be.

Rafe: Sami.

Sami: And we won't have to give up my--our children.

Rafe: That's a great thought. And who knows? Maybe you're right. But we're running out of time.

EJ: Actually, Rafe, your time is up.

Brady: Look. If you want to see me punished, fine, I get it. I'll own up to everything, all right? But I don't understand why you would want to implicate Grandfather or Philip. I mean, I thought you loved them, Vivian.

Vivian: I do love them. They broke my heart when they turned on me.

Brady: Well, then, if you leave them out of this, then maybe you could start repairing some of those wounded relationships.

Vivian: You don't believe that for a second.

Brady: You're right. I don't believe that, actually.

Vivian: Oh, Brady, it doesn't matter anyway. I don't care about those cretins. All I want is revenge. I want my sweet, sweet revenge. Although...

Brady: Oh, God. "Although" what?

Vivian: I could put all that aside, under the proper circumstances.

Victor: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake you.

Maggie: It's okay. [Sighs] Victor, I didn't think I was gonna make it.

Victor: But you did. And you're safe now. Vivian's going away for a long, long time. She's never gonna hurt you again.

Maggie: Victor, I have to ask you something. I need for you to be honest with me.

Victor: Of course. What is it?

Maggie: Is it true? Did you put Vivian in the sarcophagus? Did you do to her what she did to me?

Hope: In the event of her death, she's to be cremated. Cheryl and April were cremated as well. Oh, Pam, we've got to get you out of here.

Rafe: All right, well, if anyone can get that idiot to change his mind, it's you.

Sami: I-I can handle it. I'll do my best.

Rafe: Okay. I'll be right here.

Sami: Um, hey, so here's an idea. Rafe, Will, um, play with the kids for a second while you and I talk.

Rafe: Nicole.

EJ: Well, congratulations. So, my invitation got lost in the mail, did it?

Sami: You said I had 24 hours.

EJ: Hmm. You had 24 hours to say good-bye to your children, not to organize some farce of a wedding.

Sami: How did you even-- your spies.

EJ: Samantha, my people watch you all the time.

Sami: You said I was gonna have 24 hours. I haven't even talked to them about what's gonna happen. I thought I had till tomorrow, you know? I was planning to tell them after this.

EJ: Well, maybe you should have used your time a little more wisely.

Sami: Please just give me a couple more hours, EJ.

EJ: I gave you every opportunity to say good-bye, but you had a different idea. You made a different decision, as usual. The wrong one.

Victor: Maggie, it was Vivian that designed that coffin. She put in the audio and the monitors and the paint fumes, all with the intention of torturing you.

Maggie: I know that, but someone turned the tables on her. She said that person was you.

Victor: I had to protect you. It was the only way to neutralize her. I wasn't going to let her die.

Maggie: But you left her in there to think that she was gonna die, to suffocate, to starve, to have her brain rot away by those nauseating fumes. Do you have any idea what that was like? I was never more terrified in my life.

Victor: Maggie, don't you see? I was just giving her a taste of her own medicine.

Maggie: Victor, no one should have to suffer as I did, or the way Vivian did. As soon as you learned what Vivian's plans were, you should have gone to the authorities. Instead, you played her. You tormented her. And you took pleasure in doing it, didn't you?

Victor: No.

Maggie: You're lying. I see it in your eyes. I have to say, it scares me to death.

Hope: Pam. Pam, wake up. Pam, I have to talk to you. Wake up. Pam. Sedatives. You're not getting away with this, Lee.

Sami: Okay, EJ, I know you love your children, and I am asking you not to take them away from their mother.

EJ: Oh. Is it somehow less egregious when they were taken away from their father? Tell me. Really, if there is some logic to it, Samantha, I would like to hear it.

Sami: You had kidnapped Sydney. I was upset. I was scared for her, okay? I acted out of anger. I said something I shouldn't have said.

EJ: I think we've all rather moved on from that point for two reasons. One, honestly, it sits rather easy on my conscience now. And two, unlike for you, there are no consequences for me. You shot me in the head and you left me to die!

Nicole: Okay, keep it down, you guys.

Sami: What about her? How could you let that psycho near our children? She kidnapped Sydney in the first place. She played you for a fool for months, EJ.

EJ: She's a good mother, Samantha. And unlike you, a child never died on her watch.

Sami: You bastard!

Rafe: Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, what's going on? What is going on over here? What are you doing?

EJ: For all your self-proclamations about what a wonderful mother you are and how you put you children first, how they're important in your life, how their safety and their happiness is everything to you, you never put your children first, Samantha.

Rafe: EJ, why don't you just shut up?

EJ: And I can't think of a better example than tonight. So I am taking my children away from their narcissistic, irresponsible, promiscuous mother right now.

Sami: The hell you are.

Brady: What kind of deal are we talking about, hmm?

Vivian: I want all the charges against me dropped. That way, I'm not gonna be forced to blow the whistle on you and horde of little misfits.

Brady: Oh, that's all you want? Is that it? You just want to walk away scot free? Well, that's not asking much at all, Viv.

Vivian: Yeah. Well, you think about it, Brady. It's Maggie's word against mine. Maggie's brain is mush, thanks to those dreaded fumes. For all she knows, she's being held captive by Liza Minnelli.

Brady: You bought the coffin. Everybody knows that. And don't forget, I was the one that uncovered your little plan. I could testify against you.

Vivian: One, circumstantial. Two, you are an ex-drug addict and alcoholic. You're hardly a viable witness.

Brady: I can't agree to this. I can't have you running around, planning your next move against Maggie.

Vivian: Oh, please, she's yesterday's news. I'm not interested in that Martha Stewart wanna-be. You have my word.

Brady: Your word. Yeah, that means so much, Vivian.

Vivian: Wait a minute, Brady. Um, well, I was wrong before. You could still be a hero. You could save your family and friends. Just take this generous offer.

Brady: If I agree to this--if--I can't guarantee you that Grandfather or Maggie are going to.

Vivian: Oh, come on. You're so convincing. I saw it firsthand. You had Nicole wrapped around your little finger. Now, all you have to do is retract that statement and set everyone free. Otherwise, you all go down in flames. You and Victor, Nicole, Kate, and Philip. Every last one of you.

Maggie: If you hadn't been so cruel to Vivian, your wife, none of this would have happened.

Victor: Maggie, I won't apologize for trying to protect you. I don't know if you remember, but when, uh, when I first saw you, I wasn't sure you were going to make it and, um, what I said--well, I meant what I said when I said it.

Maggie: You're usually much more articulate, Victor.

Victor: Yes. Well, I'm usually in control, but somehow, not around you.

Maggie: Well, just for the record, I remember what you said and I know that you meant it, just as I mean every word of which I'm about to say. I want you to leave, and I want you to walk out and never come back.

[Cell phone rings]

Jennifer: Hello?

Hope: Jen, thank God I caught you. I've been trying to call Bo, but he didn't pick up.

Jennifer: Wait a minute. Hope, why are you calling me?

Hope: Listen, I don't have long to talk. Just listen very carefully, okay? I think something bad is going on here and--

Sami: If you think you have won, you are sadly mistaken.

EJ: Am I?

Sami: You are not taking my children from me.

EJ: You know, I understand your hysteria, Samantha, especially considering that things just really don't seem to be going your way these days, are they? However, if you don't accept my deal, you, William, and your husband du jour here, get to go to prison for a really long time. And then you'll be deprived of seeing any of your brood, which I would imagine would be considerably more depressing than only being deprived of 50% of them.

Rafe: All right, come on, now, DiMera. Why don't we just honor the original deal, huh? You let Sami and me have the kids for a few more hours, then we'll turn 'em over.

EJ: [Laughs] Hey.

Johnny: Daddy!

EJ: Hey! Oh! How are you doing? Listen, I've got something to tell you. You and Sydney are going to be coming to live with me and Grandpa and Grandma Kate in the big house. I have your room all set up. The playroom is all set up for you, and you're gonna be sleeping right next door to me. Okay?

Johnny: No. I don't want to leave Mommy and Rafe.

EJ: That's okay. You know, uh, your mommy and Rafe, they want you to come and live with me, because they know how much I love you, and they know how much fun you and I are going to have. They know how much you and your sister mean to me. So come here. Give Daddy a hug. There we go.

Rafe: EJ.

EJ: Hey, Daddy's missed you. No more missing each other, okay? Because we are gonna be together forever. You, your sister, and I, we're gonna be one big, happy family. Nicole, it appears my arms are full. Do me a favor, would you? Grab Sydney.

Sami: No way. Don't. I can't.

Detective Hansen: Sorry that took so long. I had your statement typed up. Do you have anything to add?

Brady: No, no, I don't.

Detective Hansen: Great. So, yeah, just sign right there.

Brady: [Clears his throat] Sorry, I can't.

Maggie: Victor, please, respect my wishes. I want you to go. Now.

[Door closes]

Maggie: [Crying]

Jennifer: Hope. Hope. Hope, are you there? Hope.

Warden Smith: What--what are you doing?

Hope: I'm sorry. I'm worried about my cousin. I had to call my family.

Warden Smith: Then you should have asked for permission. You know you're not allowed to make unsupervised calls.

Hope: But Nathan--

Warden Smith: No, Hope. This is unacceptable.

Hope: I'm sorry.

Warden Smith: You blatantly broke the rules, and after I did you a favor.

Hope: I know. I'm sorry, I am. I promise it'll never happen again.

Warden Smith: No, it won't, because I'm revoking all of your privileges.

Hope: Warden.

Warden Smith: No more cushy infirmary job. No more visitors.

Hope: But--

Warden Smith: And one more thing. Till further notice, I'm placing you in solitary confinement.

[Sami crying]

Nicole: I gave you a chance, Sami.

Sami: I can't. I can't.

EJ: Samantha, give her the child or we go to Plan "B."

[Sami crying]

Johnny: Why is mommy crying?

EJ: Because she's so happy, sweetheart. She married Rafe, and that means more to her than anything in the world.

Sami: No, it-- Johnny, sweetheart, nothing means more to me than you. Nothing means more to me.

EJ: Really? Nothing at all, Samantha?

Sami: This is your son. Johnny, hey, sweetie, I have a good idea. You know what we're gonna do? No, uh-- we're gonna have a grownup party right now at the pub, and you know what that's like, right? You always say it's so boring.

Johnny: Talk, talk, talk?

Sami: That's right. It's the grownups. Just talk, talk, talk. And so Daddy and I had a really good idea that it might be more fun for you if you went to Daddy's house. What do you think?

Johnny: I think you're right.

Sami: I think I'm right too. And I just want you to know I love you so much. I love you and your sisters and-- so good night, sweetheart.

Johnny: Good night, Mom.

Sami: Mwah! [Crying]

EJ: Come on, Nicole. Let's get out of here. You know what honeymooners are like on their wedding night.

[Sami sobbing]

On the next "Days of Our Lives" --

Carly: If this virus spreads, it could be a disaster.

Rafe: He's not getting away with this.

EJ: To Samantha, and a wedding you will never forget.
