Brady: Hey.

Nicole: Mmm? Mmm. Is it morning already?

Brady: Mm-hmm. How'd you sleep?

Nicole: Badly. Uh, because someone I know kept trying to wake me up.

Brady: I don't recall you seeming to mind.

Nicole: It's true. Actually, I did try to wake you up once, but, uh...

Brady: Really?

Nicole: Mm-hmm.

Brady: What happened?

Nicole: Well, you, uh, you kind of said another woman's name so it turned me off a little bit.

Brady: [Laughs] Uh, ooh, "another woman." Uh, who?

Nicole: Uh, oh, um, Vivian.

[Receiver static]

Gus: You are so beautiful.

Vivian: Oh, thank you. Gus? Oh, it's you. Oh, Gus, I knew you wouldn't abandon me. You got to get me out of this death box and back into Victor's bed. Gus? Gus, are there?

Victor: Well, this is unexpected.

Maggie: Henderson let me in. Is this a bad time?

Victor: No, it's fine. It's--just when I thought you'd gotten tired of me popping up on. Your doorstep and here you are popping up on mine.

Maggie: I'm here to express my extreme displeasure.

Victor: Oh, well, in that case, I'd better get a drink.

Maggie: No. No drinking. Just listening.

Victor: Whatever you say, Maggie.

Maggie: Don't you feel the least bit of guilt, Victor? Scuttling Melanie and Philip's plan to buy a home. Forcing them to move here. [Exhales] Those kids were so excited about owning their own home. And all you thought about was yourself. You rained on their parade for the stupidest reason imaginable.

Victor: To get to see you? I don't think that's stupid at all. Not in my book.

Maggie: Victor Kiriakis, if you ever use Melanie and Philip again to get to me, I swear!

Victor: You'll what? You'll have my head? You'll make me wish I was never born?

Maggie: Yes! Both of the above!

Victor: [Chuckles] Maggie Horton, you're getting to sound more like a Kiriakis every day.

Maggie: Oh! Hmm!

Daniel: I'm so glad you didn't take me up on my offer.

Chloe: Mm. Me too. I would've hated sleeping without you last night.

Daniel: So my bride-to-be doesn't care that the groom-to-be is having a very good look at her before the wedding?

Chloe: No. You know, I-I know we've had a lot of bumps in the road. But I think everything that could possibly go wrong already has.

Daniel: You know, that's the way to put it. Yeah.

Chloe: So I think we have nothing to worry about. Today is gonna be absolutely perfect.

Daniel: Mm. It already is.

Chloe: Mm.

Daniel: Come here.

Melanie: [Crying]

Nathan: When I confronted her, she didn't even try to deny it. She flat out said that she cheated. She slept with another man. Chloe cheated on Daniel.

Melanie: Oh, man. What in the world am I supposed to do? Daniel's gonna marry Chloe today.

[Cell phone rings]

Daniel: Melanie, what's going on, sweetheart?

Melanie: Dad, we need to talk.

Nathan: Yeah, well, I wish I never heard Chloe say it.

Stephanie: [Exhales] I guess you were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Nathan: You know, whoever this person is that Chloe cheated with, you know, I don't even care. I don't care. The idea that she was unfaithful, to Daniel and then now I'm-- I just wish I never got involved.

Stephanie: Then why did you? I mean, why do you care so much about this? Never mind. I know the answer, Nathan. You're worried about Melanie

Melanie: Um, I have to see you before the wedding.

Daniel: Okay, well, how about you come over, you, Chloe, and I, we can, uh, we can all have breakfast together?

Melanie: No. No. I have to talk to you alone.

Brady: Damn it, I can't keep Vivian in that sarcophagus forever.

Nicole: Brady, do you know what will happen if you release that woman? Do you really think she's gonna be all grateful and adorable? No. She's gonna come after us with a vengeance. Especially you.

Brady: I know that. That's why I need a plan. I'm only gonna keep her In there long enough to weigh all the options.

Nicole: There are no options.

Brady: I don't want a murder on my conscience.

Nicole: Fine. Then let Vivian have it on hers. Oh, wait a minute, she doesn't have a conscience. So she'll probably have no problem trying to kill us, Brady. Maybe she'll push us off a roof or try to poison us with hair ornaments or something. That would be a really interesting way to die, don't you think?

Brady: Take it easy. Take it easy.

Nicole: If you have mercy on that woman, Brady, the best hope we have is that she won't try to murder us when we get thrown in jail.

Brady: Relax.

Nicole: Don't placate me.

Brady: Hey.

Nicole: Don't. I am not going back to Statesville, Brady, and neither are you. Just got you back. I'm not gonna lose you again.

Vivian: Gus, can you hear me now? Gus? Oh, Gus, I haven't got time to talk you out of your hissy fit. There's too much to do. Now as a fallback, I want you to have this remote. I found that when burying people alive, you can't be too careful. As a matter of fact, here's another one just in case. I knew I could count on you, my loyal friend. You've turned on the receiver. And--and I can hear you now. But--but why can't you hear me?

[Electronic music]

Vivian: Gus, what on earth is going on? What's all that racket?

Maggie: Oh, no, Victor, you misunderstood. I'm not making Kiriakis-type threats here. Not at all. I am making you a promise.

Victor: Well, instead of that, why don't you sit down, make yourself at home? I'll have Henderson put on some coffee. Since you're so wonderfully hospitable to me when I come over to your place, it's the least I can do to reciprocate.

Maggie: No, thank you. I've made my point. Now I'll be as my way. Good-bye, Victor.

Daniel: Uh, yeah, well, yeah, sure, I can meet you. But, uh, honey, I've got a lot of stuff to do today, obviously.

Melanie: This is important.

Daniel: I know. I just--you know, I've got to go to the airport to pick up Chloe's parents and her sister. I got to do that in about an hour. And then I've got to wrap up some work-related stuff at the hospital. You know, there's a little wedding and then, you know, Chloe and I, we're going on our honeymoon.

Melanie: Look, I know that you're busy, okay, but this is important.

Daniel: Okay, you're starting to worry me.

Melanie: Just promise me you'll talk to me before the wedding. Please.

Daniel: Okay. I promise.

Nathan: Well, of course, I'm worried about Melanie. Daniel's her father. Aren't you?

Stephanie: No. In case you haven't noticed, Melanie's not a friend of mine.

Nathan: No, I've noticed. You don't find this a little bit sad?

Stephanie: Why? Because poor Melanie's going to be crushed when she finds this out? Of course, she's gonna be crushed when she finds out what Chloe did. She's gonna be devastated. Wouldn't you be?

Stephanie: Don't--don't try to compare me and Melanie.

Nathan: Okay, I'm just trying to make you understand why this is a big deal and why I haven't wanted to tell anyone.

Stephanie: I'm getting the picture.

Nathan: Okay, Stephanie, could you not get the wrong idea here? Listen, hey, I realize Melanie is not one of your friends, but she is my friend, all right? And I have to work with her. So, yes, I don't relish the fact that she is gonna watch her life crumble in front of her. Is that okay with you?

Stephanie: It's cool. You're a compassionate person, Nathan, so...so

Nathan: Look, hey, I'm sorry I kept this from you, okay? I just hope you understand.

Stephanie: I understand. More than you know.

Chloe: Hey, is everything all right with Melanie?

Daniel: I don't know. She just seemed pretty intense. It seemed like she was very desperate to meet with me.

Chloe: Oh, maybe she just wants to give you a surprise wedding gift.

Daniel: I don't know about that. I don't know, just the tone of her voice seemed very, uh, very intense. Hope it doesn't have something to do with Philip.

Chloe: Yeah. Especially not today of all days.

Daniel: Yeah. Yeah. Why can't everyone just be in high spirits, hmm?

Chloe: Mm, yeah. Well, you and I are. That's all that matters, right?

Daniel: Definitely.

Chloe: Besides, whatever's going on with Melanie, I'm sure that a few comforting words from her dad will make everything all right.

Daniel: Yeah. Yeah, I hope so.

Maggie: Well, look at you all up and dressed already. I thought you'd sleep in this morning. You have today off, right?

Melanie: Yeah, I do.

Maggie: Is everything all right?

Melanie: Mm-hmm. Yeah, I didn't get a lot of sleep last night.

Maggie: Well, you must be lonesome for Philip, huh?

Melanie: Yes. Yes, I am. He'll be back in a couple hours though. He just had to go to some business meeting.

Maggie: Honey, are you okay?

Melanie: Yeah, I'm just tired.

Maggie: Well, is it because you and Philip are moving out? Well, Melanie, if you've changed your mind...

Melanie: Of course, I've had some second thoughts about that, but you're only a five minute drive from the Kiriakis house, right? I know it's the right thing to do.

Maggie: But?

Melanie: I'm just conflicted. That's probably why I couldn't sleep.

Maggie: Melanie, if you're conflicted, hey, maybe this isn't the right thing to do.

Melanie: It is. It's the right thing to do. And as much as I hate not living here and seeing you, there's-- there's no turning back now. All good things come to an end eventually, right?

Brady: Trust me. I got a plan.

Nicole: Okay, but as long as it doesn't involve us going to jail or dying.

Brady: I'll make sure that it doesn't.

Nicole: The only way that's gonna happen is if Vivian stays locked up in that coffin.

Brady: You need to relax. Trust me, all right? You and I, we make a pretty good team. I'm gonna work this out. I'm gonna make sure that it works out.

Nicole: Brady, what if-- what if people start getting suspicious? I mean, I know Victor doesn't care that Vivian's gone. But there must be some friend that's been trying to reach her, right?

Brady: No. Vivian has no friends.

Nicole: Are you sure about that?

Brady: I am positive about that. Who is going to miss Vivian Alamain? Have you seen the streets lately? People are dancing. They're celebrating the fact that she has disappeared.

Woman: Who is that? Your grandmother?

Gus: No.

Woman: Then who?

Gus: That's my Madame.

Woman: Your what?

Gus: Her name is Vivian Alamain. We had a falling out recently. But I admit I miss her terrible.

Woman: Why? She looks like a lunatic with that weird, mean smile.

Gus: She's wonderfully alive. Full of passion and mischief. There was never a dull moment when she was in my life.

Woman: You sound like you're in love with the old bag.

Vivian: Gus, are you there? Gus, help me. Please help me.

Brady: Ooh.

Nicole: Room service.

Brady: I like this.

Nicole: Mm-hmm.

Brady: Is this what I think it is?

Nicole: Uh, uh. Pineapple juice mimosas.

Brady: Ah.

Nicole: Perfect way to start the morning.

Brady: Mm-hmm. Mm. You take it easy though. You're gonna be a bridesmaid in a couple hours, right?

Nicole: Um, I don't, I don't think that's gonna happen, actually, not after what went down between me and Chloe at her shower.

Brady: What went down?

Nicole: It's a long story and I'm too sad to talk about it.

Brady: I thought you two were close. What's going on?

Nicole: Well, things changed Brady for us. Anyway, I'm over it and I just--I don't think it would be too kosher to show up to my B.F.-Almost-F's wedding with you on my arm. I mean, we are supposed to be keeping this on the D.L. for now, right? Not to arouse anyone's suspicions.

Brady: All right. Pretty good point.

Nicole: Yeah. Oh!

Brady: What? What?

Nicole: Vivian.

Brady: That's a great segue.

Nicole: No. No. It just occurred to me. I mean, is she--is she gonna have enough air and water in there? I mean, at least to last her, through the wedding? We can't just run back and forth through the mausoleum to check on her. Oh, it's like having a puppy.

Brady: I have an idea.

Nicole: Okay, tell me. What, you're not gonna share?

Brady: [Chuckles] Stay here. I'll be back.

Nicole: Wait. Where are you going?

Brady: This is only gonna take a couple minutes.

Nicole: But, Brady--

Brady: Listen, don't go anywhere.

Nicole: Okay.

Daniel: Okay, little dude, what do you think of Jake?

Chloe: Mm. No Jake, I guess.

Daniel: Yeah.

Chloe: I still think we should go with Daniel Jr. Or Danielle.

Daniel: Yeah?

Chloe: Mm-hmm. In honor of the world's most amazing father.

Daniel: Me?

Chloe: Mm-hmm.

[Cell phone rings]

Chloe: Oh, sorry.

Daniel: What? What? What?

Chloe: Oh, speaking of which, my dad.

Daniel: You better get that.

Chloe: Hello. What? Oh, no!

Nathan: Hey, can I tell you something?

Stephanie: Uh-oh.

Nathan: No uh-oh, it's a good thing. It's about how amazing I think you are, okay?

Stephanie: But I'm not.

Nathan: Of course, you are. Come on, why would you say that?

Stephanie: It's just, um, I'm starting to realize that my mom's right. That there shouldn't be any secrets between us. Not yours or mine.

Nathan: Are you saying you have a secret too?

Stephanie: Yeah, I do.

Maggie: It's not like you, Melanie, to be so pessimistic.

Melanie: I'm just being truthful, heh. I don't know.

Maggie: Well, something is upsetting you, so please let's sit back down and you talk to me.

Melanie: Okay. I'll tell you. It's awful.

Maggie: Okay, what is it, honey?

Melanie: Something happened last night at the hospital. I accidentally got involved in something with a patient. And that patient is lying to her husband about something that could really hurt him.

Maggie: Oh, dear. Um, you are aware of the doctor-patient confidentiality agreement, right?

Melanie: Yeah, I am. But this doesn't apply to that because this has nothing to do with her health.

Maggie: Well, whatever it is, are you sure that you should be concerned?

Melanie: Yes. Because if I don't tell her husband, nobody's going to. So I'm going to. Today.

Vivian: Maggie's not in the sarcophagus. I am. Brady found out what I planned to do and he stuffed me in here. And he--he made everyone think I'd gone out of town and only you know the truth. You're the only one who can get me out of here. Please! Gus, please. You tell me you can hear me.

Brady: Loud and clear.

Daniel: What? What? What's wrong?

Chloe: My mom and my sister both have food poisoning.

Daniel: Oh, boy.

Chloe: Yeah, and my dad has to stay home and take care of both of them. Nobody from my family can come to this wedding!

Daniel: Oh, baby, baby, I'm sorry about that. You don't want to...

Chloe: Want to what? Postpone the wedding again? No. I don't want to wait another second to get married. I just--why can't anything ever go smoothly for us?

Daniel: Hey, hey, honey, honey, it will. It will.

Chloe: My whole family gets sick? I mean, really.

Daniel: Hey, look at me. You know what we should do though, hmm? We should focus on the family that we have here. The family that we made together--you, the baby, me.

Chloe: And Melanie.

Daniel: And Philip. You talk about bad luck, but do you know how many wonderful people we have in our lives? People who are rooting for us. Who believe in us. We are so lucky.

Chloe: Yeah. We are.

Daniel: Don't forget it, okay?

Nathan: Well?

Stephanie: It's just really hard.

Nathan: Okay. You realize you can tell me anything, right? Whatever it is. I'm not gonna judge you. You know that, right? Especially not since I've been keeping stuff from you, right? Right, well, let's hear it. Come on.

Stephanie: You know how I told you that I was completely over being insecure about Melanie? Well, I'm not. I try to be. I try to be optimistic and self-confident, but it doesn't really work out that way. I still worry that some day I'm gonna lose you. I had to know because if Chloe was going to tell Daniel that she slept with Philip, then Philip and Melanie's marriage would be ruined.

Nathan: How is that any of your business?

Stephanie: Because if that had happened, then Nathan would feel like he had to run to Melanie and help her. And once again, she ruins my life.

Nathan: All right, just calm down. You need to go back a second because there's something here that I'm not getting.

Stephanie: I told you everything. I don't know what else there is to tell you.

Nathan: Stephanie, look at me.

Stephanie: I know you're going to tell me that it's not going to happen and that I'm an idiot for thinking that.

Nathan: Yes, I am. You're an idiot for even thinking that.

Stephanie: I wish I believed you.

Nathan: Look at me. Come on. I am in love with you, okay? You are a great person. I mean, God, do I have to roll out the list? You're beautiful, you're smart, you're amazing. I--I--I'm not going anywhere. I promise you that.

Stephanie: But if Melanie--

Nathan: If Mel--Melanie-- Melanie is happily married to Philip, right? And more than that, I'm happy right where I am here with you.

Stephanie: I'm sorry. I don't know why I do this. I don't know why I say things like that. Why I'm so needy and negative.

Nathan: I think you need to believe in yourself a little bit more, okay? I believe in you. And I love you very much, okay?

Stephanie: I love you too. So much.

Maggie: Melanie, mind if I ask you when you came across this patient-confidential information?

Melanie: Yeah, I just heard it while I was off duty.

Maggie: Well, do you think what you heard might've been taken out of context?

Melanie: I don't know. I guess it's possible.

Maggie: Melanie, I hate for you to trouble yourself with a situation that--that you have--

Melanie: Maggie, um, have you ever found out something that you just really, really, really wish that you had never, ever found out?

Maggie: Yes, I have.

Melanie: What did you do?

Maggie: I'm sorry to say I didn't handle it as well as I would've liked.

Melanie: What do you mean?

Maggie: Well, you know, just talking about it, it makes me think of something Mickey always used to say. Ever the lawyer. He used to tell me "make sure you have your facts straight before you confront anyone... because the cost of being wrong can be unbearably high." Melanie, it's someone else's life you're talking about here.

Melanie: Yeah, you're-- I know. You're right. Um, okay. I know what I have to do before I say anything.

Brady: I'm back, Viv. Judging by the desperation in your voice, I'm guessing you missed me. What do you want?

Vivian: It's not what I want anymore, Brady. What do you want?

Brady: I want you to sit tight.

Vivian: What am I going to do, go jogging?

Brady: I got something to do this afternoon, but then I'll...

Victor: Who were you talking to?

Daniel: No. No. I have got to get ready to go to Victor's.

Chloe: I love you.

Daniel: Oh, I love you.

Chloe: Next time we see each other, you're going to be in your handsome tux, and I'm gonna be in my gown.

Daniel: About to say "I do."

Chloe: Mmm. Okay, fine. Go. Go, go.

Daniel: Go? Leaving. Leaving.

Chloe: Love you.

Daniel: Bye.

Chloe: Ah! You have the most amazing daddy. I'm so glad that you're here on the happiest day of my life.

[Knocking at door]

Chloe: hey.

Nicole: Bad time?

Chloe: For you, yeah.

Nicole: Wait. Wait. Wait. Just hear me out, okay?

Stephanie: Hey, Mom.

Kayla: Oh, there you are.

Stephanie: Sorry I'm late.

Kayla: No, I just got here.

Stephanie: So did you talk to Sister Anne about the changed test results?

Kayla: You haven't listened to your voicemail messages, have you?

Stephanie: No, because I told you to text me if it was important.

Kayla: I don't like texting.

Stephanie: Okay, all right,, fine, fine, fine. What did you say?

Kayla: I said that she had to reschedule. But it's no big deal.

Stephanie: Wha--Ma, no. I--d

Kayla: No, it's gonna be in a couple days.

Stephanie: I can't--that doesn't work for me. I need to know right now.

Kayla: Why are you so rattled? Did something else happen?

Stephanie: Yes, something else happened. Nathan found out that Chloe cheated on Daniel.

Kayla: What?

Nathan: He overheard her and he felt bad about keeping it secret from me, which makes things really weird and awful, because he has no idea that I've been knowing all along. But he doesn't know who it was with. But if he finds out that it was Philip..

Kayla: You know, Steph, this is crazy.

Stephanie: It's a disaster, I know. But I have to keep doing things the way that I'm doing them.

Kayla: What, you mean by keep lying?

Stephanie: Do you think I enjoy this? Do you think I enjoy lying to my boyfriend? No! But what good could come out of telling the truth now?

[Knocking at door]

Nathan: Yeah, sorry, I'm coming. I hear you. Hey.

Melanie: Hi.

Nathan: Melanie. Sorry. I was in the shower.

Melanie: Yeah, that's fine. I see that.

Nathan: Okay. Stephanie's not here.

Melanie: Okay, good, 'cause I came to talk to you.

Nathan: About what?

Melanie: About my family and my life.

Brady: Just me. Me. I was talking to myself.

Victor: You sounded agitated. What are you doing in Vivian's room?

Brady: Uh, I was just finishing packing up her, uh, her things to send them off.

Victor: I don't remember asking you to do that.

Brady: Well, I had a personal motivation, actually.

Victor: And that was?

Brady: I have a favor to ask of you. Can we talk downstairs?

Nicole: Look, I know you probably don't want to see me.

Chloe: Probably.

Nicole: But I come with a peace offering. Open it, please.

Chloe: Thanks.

Nicole: Okay, read it. It's on--it's on the back.

Chloe: Nicole, this doesn't change anything.

Nicole: Chloe, I-was going to give it to you at the shower. I just--didn't realize how long the engraving would take. And I--I just--I wish I could have "do over" for that day. Because everything that I said, it wasn't--it wasn't me. It was the vodka.

Chloe: That's not a good excuse and you know it.

Nicole: I just--I want you to be happy, Chloe, I really--I really do.

Chloe: No, you don't. You're jealous that I'm happy.

Nicole: Maybe... I was in that stupid, drunken moment. But I am in a better place now.

Chloe: Better place?

Nicole: Much better than I was at your shower. But I'm not jealous of you anymore.  I promise. You are the only real friend I have ever had. And this is--this--this is the happiest day of your life, Chloe. And I want you to know how thrilled I am to see that your dreams are coming true and that--that this baby is already so blessed and so loved.  I... I wish you all the joy in the world truly.

Chloe: Okay, let's get real for a moment. Are you saying that I can trust you to not breathe a word to anyone about me cheating on Daniel?

Nicole: 100%. My lips are sealed forever. I will take it to the grave.

Chloe: What?

Nicole: Nothing, it's just... Chloe, I've learned the hard way that secrets like this always come out. But I swear to you on everything that I hold dear that no one will hear it from me.

Kayla: So Nathan has known about Chloe's affair all along?

Stephanie: Yeah, crazy, right? Of all people.

Kayla: Well, he's probably not the only one.

Stephanie: What?

Kayla: Well, have you stopped to think about it? I mean, my God, if he knows, who else did he tell, you know, in confidence? His--his grandmother. His--his colleagues.

Stephanie: No, no, no, he wouldn't do that.

Kayla: You don't know that. People blurt things out.

Stephanie: Oh, my God. So Chloe's secret...

Kayla: May not be as safe as you think it is.

Nathan: Hey, sorry.

Melanie: No, it's okay. Uh, this is probably really bad timing.

Nathan: No, no, no. Not at all. I just--you caught me off guard.

Melanie: Okay, okay, I was thinking--I'm trying to think about, um, about everything. About what to do and how to go about doing this. And I thought about you and our friendship, and we've always been really close since the beginning. You know, we worked together and we saved my dad's life. And even though we didn't work out, we've always been friends, right?

Nathan: Yeah, we have.

Melanie: So even though things have gotten weird, we'll still always be friends, right?

Nathan: Of course, we will. Why wouldn't we be?

Melanie: I mean, we have each other's back? I mean, you would never do anything to intentionally hurt me.

Nathan: Of course not. Oh, my God, I can't even believe you're asking me this. Okay, what's going on here?

Melanie: You're lying to me.

Brady: So I hear that Philip's favor?

Brady: The two of them moving in, I-I like it. It's gonna be nice. You know, the more, the merrier.

Victor: Get on to what you want.

Brady: Okay, fine. Um, I was thinking, now that Vivian is gone, maybe I could have her room. You know, I like the size of it. You know, it has a nice view of the garden.

Victor: Fine. No problem. It's done.

Brady: Thank you. uh, but you should also know that, uh, Nicole will be moving in with me.

Victor: Say what?

Brady: Nicole will be moving in with me.

Victor: Good God, Brady. What has she done to you?

Vivian: [Sighs] Enough already. Somebody help me: Somebody get me out of here. Gus?

Gus: See what you've done? Another potential mate sent screaming to the hills due to you. And why I'm devoted, God only knows.

Vivian: Gus.

Gus: Madame?

Chloe: So what do we do now?

Nicole: Well, I, uh, have a few ideas.

Chloe: Such as?

Nicole: My bridesmaid dress is hanging nearby, and I thought I could help you solve that problem of having an uneven number of bridesmaids and groomsmen by donning said dress. I mean, I would hate for your wedding to be anything less than perfect.

Chloe: Mm. Okay. Go get he dress.

Nicole: Really? I mean, I'm--I'm--I'm back in? Really?

Chloe: Yes, you're back in.

Nicole: Oh, gosh, Chloe, I am so relieved. You have no idea how much this means to me.

Chloe: I'm relieved too, actually. Oh, but you should know there have been some changes.

Nicole: Okay, what--what changes?

Chloe: Well, the major one is that Melanie is now the matron of honor.

Nicole: Melanie. I-I don't understand.

Chloe: It's not to understand. She's Daniel's daughter and a good friend.

Nicole: Friend. Wow. You hardly even know her, and you hated the chick up until a few weeks ago.

Chloe: Whoa.

Nicole: I--I'm sorry. I'm shocked.

Chloe: Why? Melanie's a really great girl, and she loves her dad with all her heart.

Nicole: So what, you are best friends all of the sudden?

Chloe: You know, some day, I think we will be.

Daniel: Hey.

Maggie: Hey. Hi.

Daniel: How you doing, Maggie?

Maggie: What a nice surprise.

Daniel: Yeah.

Maggie: Wait a minute.

Daniel: What?

Maggie: Aren't you...?

Daniel: What, me? Oh, I'm getting marri-- no, I'm getting married. I know that.

Maggie: Everything is okay, right?

Daniel: It is wonderful. Thank you. Yeah. Uh, is Melanie here?

Maggie: Uh, no. I don't know where she went either. Um, she was upset about something. A situation at work.

Daniel: Work? She didn't really mention work.

Maggie: She wasn't very clear about it. Some ethical question about a patient, I think.

Daniel: Hmm.

Maggie: Maybe you could give her a little guidance.

Nathan: No, no, no, wait. So now I'm a liar?

Melanie: No, but you're lying about this.

Nathan: About what?

Melanie: About not wanting to hurt me.

Nathan: Of course, I don't want to hurt you, Melanie.

Melanie: I guess maybe not intentionally.

Nathan: All right, this is crazy.

Melanie: Okay, Nathan, remember the birth control thing with Stephanie? How I tried to stay out of it even though I thought it was definitely something you should know?

Nathan: Where are you going with this?

Melanie: I ended up telling you. I came clean about it even though it blew up in my face. Even though you got so mad at me, because I thought I wouldn't be a good friend if I just sat there and let something like that happen to you.

Nathan: So what is this about, Stephanie?

Melanie: This is about you and what you've done to my father and me. But more importantly, it's about what you're going to do to fix it.

Victor: Think man, she's gonna lead you straight to hell and watch you burn.

Chloe: Today's your big day. Nothing's gonna go wrong.

Melanie: Did she cheat on him or not?
