Rafe: Hey, look at me. Listen... if EJ doesn't make it, we'll find a way to tell the kids... together. We'll help them cope.
Sami: Right. Okay.
Rafe: Okay? Listen... I don't want you focusing on worst-case scenarios. Just focus on what you can control, okay?
Sami: Yeah, I mean, it's just the waiting around and not knowing.
Sami: I think I should go to the hospital.
Rafe: You sure you want to do that?
Sami: Yeah. Yeah, I need to be there to find out if... if EJ's gonna make it or not.
Rafe: I'm coming with you.
Nathan: Why are you putting this on me? I'm not the one who had the one-night stand, all right? You did. Think you can take some responsibility here?
Chloe: Are you gonna tell Melanie?
Nathan: No. Okay? No, I'm not going to tell Melanie. To be quite honest, I came here to try and help you. And apparently you can't--you don't want it. So you know what? Deal with this yourself.
Chloe: Thank you.
Nathan: Hey, guys.
Melanie: Fancy running into you here.
Nathan: Yeah, right? Just waiting for Stephanie. Chloe.
Nathan: So what brings you guys down here?
Melanie: Oh, we dragged Chloe here to talk to her about something.
Nathan: Oh. Okay.
Philip: Let's--let's grab a table. How about that?
Melanie: Uh, how's your elbow?
Nathan: Uh... [Chuckles] Better every day.
Melanie: I'm sorry, by the way.
Nathan: For what?
Melanie: For almost keeping you from performing your first solo surgery.
Nathan: Are you kidding me? Come on, you're the one that made it all possible.
Melanie: Still kind of feel like it's my fault, since you did get hurt protecting me.
Nathan: Stop it. Listen... you are not to blame. You did everything right. And you're the reason why I got through it. You were very helpful. You were great, honestly.
Stefano: I-I must see my son.
Lexie: I know, I know.
Daniel: Whoa, hold on here. I need to check him first. It'll just be a couple minutes, okay?
Bo: Any news?
Lexie: Carly and Daniel got the bullet out. Uh, it was sent to Forensics.
Bo: Oh, with any luck, that'll answer some of our questions.
Stefano: You have no leads yet?
Bo: I just came from talking to Sami and Rafe. Sami's very worried that her kids will lose their father.
Kate: That's all?
Kate: I said, is that all? Sami and EJ were about to be married. I can't believe she doesn't have any feelings for him at all.
Carly: Hi. I have news.
Stefano: What news? Tell me, is my son going to be all right?
Carly: I'm happy to report that it's looking much, much better. EJ's vitals are steadily improving, and we're very hopeful right now.
Philip: You okay?
Chloe: Yeah, I'm just tired... tired all the time. But it's all turning out well. You're with Melanie, and I'm with Daniel, and everything's the way it's supposed to be, right?
Melanie: Seriously, you're becoming quite the surgeon.
Stefano: You... what the hell are you doing here?
Rafe: All right, back off.
Stefano: I want to know what she is doing here, huh? You come to dance over his grave--is that what you did? Look, for all we know, you could be the one that has caused this.
Rafe: All right, for God sakes, she has an alibi.
Stefano: Oh, and you--
Rafe: She was with me all night.
Stefano: Uh-huh, and your word is enough, huh? Just because you are together does not mean that she is innocent. She could have hired somebody.
Bo: You really want to go there... talk about people who love to hire hit men?
Stefano: You think I put a hit on my son?
Bo: Wouldn't be the first time.
Stefano: Why don't you keep your damn mouth shut and find out who did this? That's what they pay you for, isn't it?
Bo: Yeah, it is. Thing is, your boy in there... has got a lot of enemies. Got a very long list of suspects.
Sami: Look, here's the thing, if EJ gets better... you can ask him. H-he'll tell you who did it, I mean, unless... unless he has brain damage.
Stefano: Oh, God, don't say that.
Sami: But, you know, you have to deal with the fact that it's a possibility. But if he wakes up and he's fine, he's himself again, he'll know. He'll--he'll know who did this to him, and--and he'll be able to tell you, Uncle Bo.
Stephanie: Ian, it's me. Are you getting anywhere? [Sighs] So you still have no idea who changed the test results? Okay, well keep working on it. Me? Um, well, I'm gonna have to work my own angle.
Melanie: All right, club soda.
Chloe: Thank you.
Melanie: Here you go, baby.
Philip: Thank you.
Melanie: Thank you.
Chloe: Okay, so what is this thing that you guys want to talk to me about?
Melanie: All right, well... I was hoping you would let me do something for you, 'cause I know Nicole is your BFF, but I am a future big sister, so I was thinking... maybe I could throw you a baby shower.
Chloe: Really? I-I would love that and so would Daniel.
Melanie: So it's a yes?
Chloe: Yes, it's a big yes. Thank you. That--that's so sweet of you.
Melanie: Of course. No, I've already been looking online for ideas, and I think we should have a theme shower.
Chloe: That's fine by me.
Melanie: Okay, there's this one theme. It's called "A star is born." It's where you put star-shaped things all over the house, and then you use, like, glitter for stardust, and you put it--
Philip: Yeah, I think that's my cue.
Melanie: [Scoffs] You're such a guy.
Philip: Have fun.
Philip: Hey, Nathan, you got a minute?
Nathan: Yeah, what's up?
Philip: I wanted to talk with you about, uh, what we discussed earlier... the, uh, children's wing at the hospital, putting some new equipment in.
Nathan: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Um, whatever we can do to help, yeah, I'm on board.
Nathan: Yeah, speaking of kids... Chloe seems pretty excited.
Philip: That's an understatement.
Stephanie: Oh, my God, you told him?
Philip: Told him what? What are you talking about?
Carly: It's hard to make any reasonable predictions at this point. The first 24 hours of post-op are crucial, but with each hour that passes, EJ's odds improve. I think it's very possible he'll make a full recovery.
Bo: And then he'll be able to tell us who shot him.
Stefano: [Sighs] I need some air.
Kate: We need to talk.
Sami: About what?
Kate: About our phone call last night--what else?
Sami: Not now, okay? Not here.
Kate: Fine. But soon.
Bo: Is it okay?
Carly: Yeah, come in.
Bo: Any idea when he might wake up?
Daniel: Can't even venture a guess, not this early. And last time I saw EJ, I practically had to pull him off Nicole. I thought he was gonna kill her right then and there.
Daniel: No, she couldn't have done it. She stayed at our place last night.
Bo: She was with you and Chloe?
Daniel: Yeah. Yeah, and Rafe had a bunch of FBI guys protecting her. There's no way she could've given us all the slip... not that she didn't have motive.
Bo: Half the town has motive.
Daniel: Well, I'm gonna go, um, get EJ's test results, all right? I'll be back.
Bo: Sami... where were you last night?
Sami: Give me a break, Uncle Bo. I can tell by the look in your eye. You think I did it, don't you? You think I tried to kill the father of my children.
Sami: Hey. Sorry, I had to get out of there.
Rafe: Eh... listen, you know we don't have to stay here.
Sami: I-I think I do. I mean, I hate the man, but I need to know if he... makes it. I think it's the right thing to do.
Rafe: All right.
Rafe: I saw Kate talking to you earlier. What the hell did she want?
Sami: She's just worried about the kids. She was asking me where they were.
Rafe: That's all? You seem kind of shaken.
Sami: Well, I am. I mean, I'm completely shaken. Think about everything that I have been through in the last 24 hours, everything we've had to deal with. How did you expect me to react?
Rafe: No, no, no, no, I just meant that, you know--
Sami: Okay, never--you know what, let's just go back, okay?
Sami: Have you heard anything?
Stefano: He's not dead, if that's what you were hoping.
Sami: Oh, go to hell. I mean, you are unbelievable-- the misery you cause everybody. And you knew what EJ had done? What, and you're so heartless you don't even care what he did to your own granddaughter?
Stefano: Well, it certainly didn't take you very much time, did it--jump from one man to the other, huh? Huh? Huh? Because of the cheap, mis--
Sami: Hey, hey, hey.
Rafe: Back it up. Just shut your mouth, you hear me? Shut it.
Stefano: You want me to shut my mouth?
Stefano: Yeah. [Chuckles] You would really like that, wouldn't you, Hernandez?
[Monitor beeping rapidly]
Philip: What are you talking about? What, you think I told him that Chloe's pregnant?
Nathan: Well, I knew that.
Stephanie: Oh, you-- oh, I did--I-I-I didn't think Chloe was telling anybody yet.
Nathan: We found out at the same time.
Stephanie: Well, it's great news, isn't it?
Philip: Yeah. Yeah, it is. I'm gonna go see how my wife is doing.
Stephanie: So what's--what's going on?
Nathan: Nothing. Just waiting for you.
Stephanie: Something bothering you?
Nathan: No, not at all. Um, I have to actually get back to the hospital.
Nathan: I'm sorry to bail so soon.
Stephanie: No, that's okay, don't worry about it. I have enough to keep me busy.
Nathan: Good, so I'll see you later?
Nathan: All right. Bye.
Melanie: So I mean, it doesn't have to be an all-female shower. I mean, a lot of people do couples showers nowadays, which I think would be more fun.
Philip: I--no. No, no, all you girls oohing and ahing over the baby rattles and stuff...
Melanie: Well, first of all, we don't give baby rattles anymore.
Chloe: Yeah, I agree with Melanie. It'll be fun! It should be couples. It could be like my birthday, remember? That was fun.
Melanie: Yeah... as long as my adoring husband doesn't pull a disappearing act again. Deal?
Philip: Deal. [Chuckles]
[Monitor beeping rapidly]
Bo: Ah, ah, ah, I can't let you go in there.
Stefano: Dear God, what's going on? What's happening? [Sighs]
Carly: EJ is in shock from the blood loss. We're transfusing him now, and hopefully that will take care of it.
Carly: I'm gonna send him down for a scan, see if there's another bleed in the brain.
Stefano: And if it does, I mean, you can stop it, right?
Carly: Excuse me.
Stefano: Why--why don't you answer my question?
Lexie: Father, stop, stop it!
Stefano: All right, then. Sweetheart, you tell me, all right? How bad is this?
Lexie: It's very serious.
Stefano: So you're saying... I mean, that's what-- that's what you're thinking, is that it? That's what you're trying to say to me? That he might not make it, huh? [Sighs]
Melanie: All right, you ready?
Chloe: Mm, yeah, let's go hit the stores.
Philip: Oh, you guys are just gonna leave me here... alone?
Chloe: Unless you want to come shopping with us for baby-shower decorations.
Philip: Ah, no, no, no, no. I'm good, I'm good. You guys have fun.
Chloe: Thanks. Bye.
Melanie: See you at home.
Philip: Love you.
Melanie: I love you too.
Stephanie: Mind if I sit?
Philip: Where's Nathan?
Stephanie: He had to go back to work.
Stephanie: I couldn't help overhearing.
Philip: Overhearing what?
Stephanie: About Chloe's baby shower.
Philip: Man, you are like the bionic woman, Stephanie-- always hearing stuff from across the room... accidentally, of course. And I wouldn't expect an invite to the baby shower, if I were you.
Stephanie: Aw, don't worry. I wouldn't come anyway.
Stephanie: So, um... you guys were all together for Chloe's birthday?
Philip: Mm-hmm. Why do you care?
Stephanie: Oh, I don't. It just sounds like a fun day, especially with Chloe being all excited about the baby. So where did you disappear to during the birthday party?
Philip: Overheard, my ass. You were eavesdropping on our conversation. Why? What do you want to know, Stephanie? Just say it.
Daniel: Oh, hey, Nathan. Thanks for coming in.
Nathan: Oh, of course. Uh, anything I can do?
Daniel: Well, actually, I'd appreciate it if you'd look after my patients while I focus on EJ's case. You good with that?
Nathan: Yeah, absolutely.
Daniel: Cool. Oh, and, you know, I heard from Melanie that you did a great job on your first surgery.
Daniel: Good work, Doctor.
Nathan: Thank you. Uh, I mean, I actually couldn't have done it without her. I had an issue with my bum elbow, and she talked me through it, so... I honestly don't know what I would've done if she wasn't there.
Daniel: Ah, what can I say? My daughter's a genius. Apple doesn't fall far.
Nathan: I can't argue with that. Oh, listen, uh, congratulations. I hear you're gonna be a dad again.
Daniel: Thank you. Yeah, I couldn't be happier.
Nathan: That's great, man, 'cause I can't think of anyone that deserves it more than you.
Daniel: Thanks, man.
Bo: Oh, hey, Kate. I heard you were here.
Kate: You were looking for me?
Bo: Yeah, I felt a little unresolved. You know, I had this nagging feeling that you might know a little more than what you were telling me about EJ's shooting.
Kate: Well, I don't know that I can offer you any more than what I've already told you. I mean, Stefano and I were offshore in his yacht last night. We came back to the mansion, and we found EJ in Sami's bed, shot through the head.
Bo: Yeah. Sure there's nothing else?
Kate: [Chuckles] Bo, I'm not hiding anything.
Bo: Okay. Well, if you, uh, do think of anything else... call me.
Kate: Of course. If only you knew... it's Sami I might be hiding. [Sighs] Good God.
Rafe: We should leave.
Sami: I told you, I can't.
Stefano: Can I see my son now?
Carly: Not until he's stabilized. I'm sorry. Um, I'm checking out, Lexie. Daniel is here to take over. And I will call in regularly to check on his condition, okay?
Stefano: Look... I want Dr. Jonas to have anything he needs to make sure that my son gets well, do you understand? Anything. I give my permission. Right or wrong, whatever he wants, he needs, he gets.
Lexie: [Scoffs] It's not up to you. Actually... [Sighs] It's Sami's decision.
Sami: Me? Why me?
Stefano: What kind of idiocy is that? I am the father.
Lexie: Okay, okay, okay.
Stefano: I am his blood. I make the decisions on the treatments.
Lexie: Father, listen, I need you to calm down and listen to what I have to say, all right? Now, before the ceremony...
Stefano: They were not--they are not married, and she has no rights.
Lexie: Okay, look, I know you're upset, all right? So am I. Now listen to me. EJ is a very thorough lawyer. Before the ceremony, he signed a living will and a health-care proxy. I mean, I was a witness, but I...
Sami: Oh, my God.
Lexie: He thought he was going to be your husband. The document was scanned and emailed to the hospital. It's now a part of EJ's records. You are legally empowered to make all health-care decisions if EJ can't.
Maggie: Bizarre. Hmm. Why is this airfare so much higher? Jeez, wouldn't you know?
[Cell phone rings]
Maggie: Oh. Mm. Hello?
Victor: Maggie, it's Victor. I thought if you weren't too busy packing for your trip, I'd stop by, and we could, uh, talk a little foundation business. Maggie, you there?
Maggie: Um, Victor, this, um--this isn't a very good time.
Victor: Yes, of course. I understand. Well, perhaps we'll talk later.
Maggie: Yes, good-bye. I'm going on this trip. I am.
Vivian: Maggie, Maggie, Maggie--it's always Maggie. Well, not for long.
Melanie: Ugh, this baby is gonna have so many clothes, she's gonna need a wardrobe manager--or he. [Giggles]
Chloe: This is so nice of you.
Melanie: Are you kidding? I'm having a whole new kind of fun.
Carly: Hi. Wow, have you two been shopping?
Melanie: Hey, yeah, we just started, though. Sit down, sit down.
Chloe: Yeah, Melanie is throwing me a baby shower. And not only did we buy decorations, but she got me registered at every store in town.
Melanie: In America, actually. You're invited too.
Carly: Oh, thanks. That'll be fun.
Chloe: You know, this is so nice. Thank you. I just feel so lucky. You know, I'm sorry that I got off on the wrong foot with the both of you. And I really regret that.
Carly: You know what I say? I say, "Whatever happened in the past stays in the past." From now on, everything is going to be great, perfect.
Philip: Why were you listening in on my conversation? And what's with all the questions?
Stephanie: Philip, I just happened to overhear, that's all.
Stephanie: So where did you disappear to during Chloe's birthday party?
Philip: What is it to you?
Stephanie: Nothing, really. Just seems a little odd, you know? Although... considering what happened between you and Chloe... I'd imagine that things would be a little awkward when Daniel's around.
Philip: What are you getting at?
Stephanie: I think you know.
Stefano: All right, that's gonna change right now, okay? It's null and void. I am not gonna have my son's life in her hands!
Philip: No, I don't know. How about if you spell it out for me, Stephanie?
Stephanie: You don't feel a little awkward when you, Chloe, and Daniel are all together?
Philip: What the hell is this? Chloe and I are friends. Daniel's a part of my family. Why would I feel awkward?
Stephanie: Well, because you and Chloe were lovers.
Philip: Seriously? Seriously, that was--that's been a long time ago. We're way past that, don't you think?
Philip: She's having Daniel's baby. They're getting married soon. There's no old-girlfriend tension going on there, okay? Not like when I'm with you.
Philip: You want to know where I went when I left the party? I went to Titan for a meeting... for the green shipping project we used to work on, remember?
Stephanie: Oh, that's still on?
Philip: Yes, it is. Do you have any more questions, or can I go now?
Stephanie: Yeah, you can go. Look, I'm sorry for bothering you.
Philip: I don't think you are. You're all weird about something, but guess what. I don't give a damn. [Chuckles]
[Cell phone rings]
Ian: Hey, Steph. You got something?
Stephanie: If Philip was the one who changed the test results, he did it from a computer at Titan Enterprises.
Ian: Whoa. Big corporations have multiple servers. Um, do you know his I.P. address?
Stephanie: No, and using email's really tricky. Titan changes their internet service providers at least once a month. You know what? I'll just have to call and figure out what's current.
Ian: Yeah, just give me his email address and whatever service provider's backing Titan. I think I can find a way to see if he logged on to the hospital computers.
Stephanie: I'm on it.
Stefano: She is a Brady, for God's sake. She's nothing but a cheap, little--
Rafe: Hey, this is the last time that I am even gonna come close to being nice about this, you understand? Now, I feel for you and what you're going through right now. I really do.
Stefano: Of course, you do.
Rafe: But you are not gonna keep attacking Sami. She is not to blame for this, and she sure as hell isn't at fault for him giving her the power to make decisions for him.
Lexie: Rafe is right, Father. Let's just try to accept that this is a difficult situation--
Stefano: No, no. I don't give a damn about any document, do you understand? She should step aside now.
Sami: I want to. Where do I sign? I'll do it.
Lexie: It's not possible. [Sighs]
Melanie: Okay, so I'm thinking that the red carpet will start in the hallway, and then it will lead into the main dining room, and there will be people there videotaping and interviewing, and we'll arrive in really fancy gowns with expensive jewelry. I'm just kidding.
Carly: Oh, God, I'm so relieved.
Chloe: Yeah. You know, it's gonna be wonderful, but, really, I don't want anything fancy-schmancy. Even it's a simple baby shower, especially this one, it's gonna be special.
Vivian: A baby shower! Oh, they're usually so delightful. I can't wait.
Melanie: Well, you'll be waiting a very long time, because you're not invited.
Sami: I don't understand. I mean, if I don't want it, then why can't I just assign power of attorney back to Stefano?
Lexie: The only person who can change EJ's living will is EJ. I mean, possibly a court. But then you'd have to go before a judge and explain what happened.
Sami: What do you think?
Rafe: Well, sounds doable. We'll get a lawyer.
Stefano: I'll do better than that, all right? I'll get a judge down here... two if we need it.
Lexie: [Sighs] Sami, I-I apologize.
Sami: Oh, please, I know Stefano. Obviously, he's just upset and worried.
Lexie: Well, maybe you won't have to make any decisions.
Sami: Really? 'Cause Dr. Manning said that--
Lexie: Yeah, I-I-I know, EJ's condition isn't what we'd like, but you never know. I mean, he--he could rally. He could wake up. Maybe then he'd be able to tell us who did this to him.
Vivian: Bye-bye, darling.
Vivian: Excuse me. I am not invited to Chloe's baby shower?
Melanie: Oh, good, you got your hearing aid fixed.
Vivian: What the--why on earth not?
Melanie: I have no idea. Mm, because nobody likes you?
Vivian: Oh, that--that is just such nonsense. I am your stepmother-in-law. And Chloe is marrying Victor's godson, so we will be related. And just think about that. They'll be christenings and birthdays and, oh, summer picnics and Thanksgiving dinners.
Melanie: Oh, my God!
Melanie: I can't even stomach to hear you talk. I'm gonna get going.
Vivian: Bye-bye, darling. Oh, that girl has such spunk. She just brightens a room up when she enters, doesn't she?
Carly: You brighten up a room when you leave, so say good-bye, Vivian.
Vivian: Oh, no, not yet. See, I want to find out why you two have become such fast friends.
Carly: We've bonded since you tried to destroy us.
Melanie: Can you email me the menu? Oh, okay, perfect. Thank you so much.
Philip: Hey, you. What's up?
Melanie: Hi. Oh, I was just calling the caterer for the menu for Chloe's shower. There's a lot to coordinate.
Philip: Sure. You okay?
Philip: Than what?
Melanie: Than I was a minute ago when Vivian sat on my lap and tried to give me a big, fat wet one.
Melanie: Yeah, she's decided that she gets to come to Chloe's baby shower, but she's not coming. She's not invited.
Philip: Whoa, whoa. Of course, she's not. Of course, she's not.
Melanie: Okay. The last thing Chloe or anybody needs is that crazy woman there.
Melanie: Okay, I got to go. I'll see you at home?
Philip: Yeah. Bye.
Stephanie: And since I'm handling the hospital charity project, I need to get to the bottom of this and figure out why we're not receiving any emails from Titan. So I figured, who better to contact than Philip's own personal secretary, right? [Giggles] Yes. Okay, and what is the email address that he's using? It's still at titan.com? Okay, and what is the I.S.P. handling Titan this month? Ground Swell. Perfect. All right, I will get to the bottom of this. Thank you so much, Marie. You too. Bye. Hey. I got what you need. Uh, meet at my apartment? Yeah, I just need to find out what Philip was doing on that computer at Titan. Okay, yeah, ten minutes.
Sami: Thank you.
Rafe: Mm. How you feeling? Okay?
Sami: I don't know. I mean, I never thought we'd be sitting here wondering if he's gonna die. You know, and... I don't know, I keep thinking about what happened. And... what he said, and what I said... how I reacted.
Rafe: Sami... the man lied to you. He used you. He kidnapped your baby, for God sakes. How the hell are you supposed to react?
Sami: Look... I just never thought he was capable of something like that. What he did killed any feelings that I had for him. I have never hated someone so much in my entire life.
Rafe: Okay. So how are you feeling now?
Sami: Now? I don't know. You know, it's weird... seeing him like that. Normally, he's the one in control. Now he's just lying there all helpless and... you got to feel sorry for someone like that, right?
Stefano: Wrong. You don't feel sorry for him, in the least. You want him to die.
Stephanie: All right, here's Philip's email address, and the I.S.P. handling Titan this month is Ground Swell.
Ian: Okay. Um, well, I'll get his protocol number off of a website that I know. And then we will be in business.
Stephanie: Great. The sooner the better.
Ian: Okay. First, we'll get into the hospital's mainframe. Um... oh.
Ian: [Sighs] Stephanie, you're not gonna like this.
Melanie: Oh! Hey!
Maggie: Hi! Shopping, huh?
Melanie: Yeah. Chloe's shower. We just got started. What are you doing? You're still planning your trip?
Maggie: Mm, just about finished.
Melanie: Cool. It's kind of scary going alone, don't you think?
Maggie: I guess. I can handle it. I'm a big girl.
Melanie: I know you can.
Maggie: What's wrong?
Melanie: With me?
Maggie: Well, you don't have half that sparkle that you normally do. So what happened?
Melanie: She's trying to stomp her way back into my life.
Maggie: Oh, dear. I'm sorry. I think it's because of me.
Vivian: Ha! I'm sorry. I must be a bit slow today. Are you implying that I did something to irritate you?
Carly: No, I'm not implying. Don't deny it. It's just the three of us here. We all know what you did.
Vivian: Chloe, I really don't know what she's talking about. I haven't got a clue, do you?
Chloe: Really? Vivian, just stop it, okay? You hired people to lie to me and make me believe that Carly and Daniel were having an affair. You wanted me to hate her. You-- why am I even explaining any of this to you?
Vivian: All that silliness-- I mean, that's old news. I would've thought it would've been eaten and digested months ago.
Carly: So you don't deny it?
Vivian: Well, I'm not saying I did or didn't do anything. But if I did, look, you two have bonded like giggly junior-high-school girls, so I must've done something right.
Chloe: Vivian, just go away, and don't come back.
Vivian: Interesting. I want to know what has caused this coziness between the two of you. Is it your hatred towards me? Or something else?
Stefano: Go ahead, say it. You want him to die.
Sami: Do you really want to do this now?
Stefano: And if I didn't know that you had an alibi courtesy of your Boy Scout here-- I still think you are the one who have put him here.
Rafe: Well, she didn't. She was with me, so back off.
Stefano: Yes. You were sleeping. I promise you, Samantha, that I am going to find out who did this. And when I do... that person is going to die... in pain... and alone.
Philip: Don't give me that blank look. What the hell are you up to?
Stefano: I'll find who did this to you.
Sami: How do you know when it's okay, like, when it's the right thing to do?
