Sami: Harold? Uh, coming.
Gabi: Oh, my God. Thank God you're home.
Sami: Uh, hi, Gabi. What's going on?
Gabi: I need to find Rafe. Do you know how to reach him?
Sami: Uh, no, I don't. What's up?
Gabi: Arianna's in trouble, and he's the only one who can help.
Brady: What's he doing here?
Arianna: EJ is my new lawyer.
Brady: How'd you end up with the likes of him?
EJ: She needed some help, and I offered.
Brady: You won't accept my help, but you'll take his?
Arianna: He believes I'm innocent.
Nicole: Don't threaten me, Dick. You know you have just as much to lose as I do.
Richard: Come on, Nicole. I did everything you wanted me to do. I framed Arianna Hernandez, and now she's in jail. Doesn't that deserve some kind of reward?
Nicole: All right, get out of here. You're not getting a dime out of me.
Richard: Fine. I'm sick of you anyway.
Nicole: All right, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Richard: Yes, your highness?
Nicole: One more thing. This case against Arianna has to be air-tight, so we need to destroy any evidence linking you to the crime.
Richard: I'm not an idiot. And neither is my partner.
Nicole: Okay, well then, what about the wallets that you stole off the victims? Where are they?
Richard: You really should get out of here.
Hope: I told you I'm not finished with him.
Nicole: Where are the wallets?
Hope: It's empty.
Bo: But this has got to be the box Ciara was talking about. Where's the secret treasure?
Daniel: That is fantastic. No, thank you so much, Father Matt. Yeah. No, I'll see you tomorrow. Yeah. All right. Bye.
Carly: What was that about?
Daniel: Oh, guess what? Chloe and I, we're getting married.
Carly: I know.
Daniel: I know, but what you don't know is we're getting married tomorrow.
Carly: Wow. When you said ASAP, you weren't kidding.
Carly: What? Nothing.
Daniel: You sure?
Daniel: 'Cause generally the response to that kind of news is, uh, "Congratulations," or "We're so happy for you. Yay."
Carly: Look, I'm just surprised. That's all.
Daniel: Come on, Carly. No, no. It's a little more than that. What? What's really going on?
Chloe: Uh, I really should get going.
Vivian: Oh, no, no, please stay.
Chloe: It's your wedding night.
Vivian: But it's the bride's duty to make everyone feel like they've had a lovely time at the wedding, and emphatically, you did not, so Auntie Viv to the rescue.
Chloe: But what can you do?
Vivian: Well, I have a vast array of resources right at my fingertips, so whatever it is you need to accomplish, whatever your goal is, just ask.
Chloe: My goal?
Vivian: Yes. To get Carly out of your life for good.
Victor: You know, something tells me that those tears have nothing to do with allergies.
Maggie: I'm--I'm sorry. I wish you didn't have to see me like this.
Victor: Oh, please, don't apologize. Everybody's entitled to a good cry every now and again.
Maggie: Somehow I don't believe Victor Kiriakis is much of a crier.
Victor: Are you kidding? I just married Vivian. I'm sure there are lots of tears in my future. Listen, I hope I'm not overstepping, but, uh, maybe it would help to talk about it.
Maggie: It's your wedding night.
Maggie: So the usual tradition is the bride and the groom spend it together.
Victor: Well, I'm sure you must realize by now that there is nothing traditional about my marriage.
Maggie: But Vivian, um... doesn't she mind your being here?
Victor: Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn. Besides, I'm sure my blushing bride has found something else to occupy her time.
Chloe: I don't know what you mean.
Vivian: You need to get Carly out of your life, and, well, I would do anything to help you. Just ask.
Chloe: I really should go.
Vivian: Chloe. Chloe. Wait. Are you actually willing to let that woman ruin your happiness? Because if you do nothing, she will.
Carly: Daniel, I--I hope you know that I consider you to be one of my closest friends.
Daniel: I feel the same way.
Carly: And if it wasn't for you, I would have no relationship with my daughter at all. You convinced her to give me a second chance, and I could never thank you enough for that.
Daniel: Yeah, you've told me that, uh, many times, but what does this have to do with my marrying Chloe?
Carly: I just feel like I owe it to you to be honest.
Daniel: Why do I get the feeling I'm not gonna like this? What? What? Do you have a problem with me marrying Chloe?
Carly: Yeah, yeah, I do. I do. And you deserve to know why.
Sami: I'm really sorry, Gabi, but Rafe is on some undercover assignment somewhere.
Gabi: And you don't know where he is?
Sami: I talked to him on his cell phone. I reached him a couple days ago.
Gabi: I've been leaving him messages, and he hasn't called back.
Sami: I don't know how I can help. You want me to try calling him again?
Gabi: Actually, if you really want to help, then maybe you can talk to your dad? I mean, he is the police commander, right? He likes Ari. He has to know she didn't attack him. There has to be something he can do to get my sister out of jail.
Sami: Hey, look, I'm sure my dad is doing everything that he can.
Gabi: So it's too much trouble for you to pick up the phone and ask? Please, Sami. Do it for Rafe.
Sami: Look, I would do anything for Rafe and for his family. It's just that--
Gabi: Oh, my God. You think Ari's guilty, don't you?
EJ: I'll, um, leave you two alone to catch up, okay?
Arianna: Thank you.
Brady: I do believe in you. I don't know how many times I got to tell you that.
Arianna: You doubted me.
Arianna: I saw the look in your eyes.
Brady: I explained it to you. I was overwhelmed. I was trying to process the fact that the DNA came back as a match. I couldn't believe it, but I never for one second, not one second, thought you were guilty, Ari.
Arianna: I wish I could believe that.
Brady: You can. My God, you can. Look--look at me. Don't push me away like this.
Arianna: No, you know what?
Arianna: I can't do this. I don't have time for this. I need to focus on getting out of here. I can't go back to prison.
Brady: I'm not letting you go back to prison. I will never let you go back to prison.
Arianna: Well, you know what? I appreciate your concern, but right now I need my lawyer. So please just leave us alone. Please.
Richard: Okay, I'm not an idiot, but my partner has the wallets.
Nicole: Well, tell her to get rid of them.
Richard: Telling her to do things doesn't always go over very well.
Nicole: Well, you better make damn sure that no one else finds them.
Richard: Anything else, highness?
Nicole: Yes. Make absolutely sure she understands why there cannot be any more attacks.
Richard: I think she understands that.
Richard: All right, listen, if my partner wants to go out and mug somebody, there's not much I can really do about it.
Nicole: Well, you better find a way, damn it.
Richard: It's not that easy.
Nicole: All right. You know what? I've had enough of this. You're gonna tell me who your partner is right now.
Hope: See? I told you. God, she's making up stories again.
Bo: Yeah, well, there is a box.
Hope: Yeah, there's a box, but I don't know how it got there, and it's empty, obviously.
Bo: She was so adamant that you were hiding some kind of treasure. Where would she come up with a story like that?
Hope: I don't know. But between the lying and stealing... Bo, I don't know what's happening to our daughter.
Bo: Yeah, neither do I. But together, you know, we'll work this out. Hey, you've been under a lot of stress.
Hope: Please don't do that.
Bo: Do what?
Hope: I know that you mean well. But I can't stand to hear the concern in your voice. Especially when it's directed to me.
Bo: Hope, I care about you.
Hope: Please, okay, see? That's exactly what I don't want to hear. We're not together anymore. You... you're with someone else now, and when you say things like that, it's just--it's painful for me.
Hope: So let's just keep the conversation focused on our daughter. She's the one that needs help, okay?
Ciara: These are my secrets now.
Chloe: I'm not worried about Carly.
Vivian: Oh, I wouldn't want to handle that witch alone. And your relationship is at risk, isn't it?
Chloe: Daniel and I will be just fine. I'm sure of it. Now excuse me.
Vivian: No, you're not. You're scared to death. Thank God for that.
Maggie: Victor, I miss Mickey.
Victor: Of course you do.
Maggie: It's, uh, more than that. I just--I really don't know how to explain it.
Victor: Try me.
EJ: Should I come back later?
Arianna: No, we're done here.
EJ: Good. So I managed to pull a few strings, and I got your arraignment moved up in court in about two hours.
Arianna: Oh. Wow, um, are you prepared with your arguments on such short notice?
EJ: I'm completely prepared. Are you?
Arianna: Sure. Yeah. Um, I just need something presentable to wear.
Brady: I'll go to your place. I'll pick up some clothes for you.
Arianna: Gabi can do it, Brady.
Brady: I can do it, Arianna. If I didn't make it clear to you, I'm not giving up on you.
EJ: Mm. You okay?
Arianna: Can you tell me what my chances are? Am I gonna get out on bail?
EJ: I'm optimistic. Now, your priors are certainly gonna count against you. And the evidence is pretty convincing, circumstantial though it is.
Arianna: I know it looks bad, but I'm telling you I did not--
EJ: Hey, listen to me. You don't have to convince me, okay? I know you're innocent.
Arianna: It's just--it's just that, you know, my hair and the fingerprints, it's very convenient, you know, that it was all found at the crime scene. It's like I've been set up, right?
EJ: Yeah, that's certainly something we should think about, but not right now. For the time being, think it'd be best if you clear your mind of that idea. We should focus on something else.
Arianna: Okay, like what?
EJ: Look, I've thought of another approach, something that may get you released immediately. And I'm not talking about just on bail, I'm talking for good.
Richard: Look, don't worry about my partner. She's--she's a pro.
Nicole: Who is she?
Richard: I'm telling you, it doesn't matter. Let me worry about her, all right? You just stick to your end of the plan.
Nicole: I swear, Dick, you screw this up...
Richard: We're both in big trouble. I know. Okay, listen, I better split before somebody sees us together.
Nicole: Yeah. That's the first smart thing you've said all night. I'll keep in touch.
Nicole: Hey, Chloe, what are you doing out here?
Chloe: Hey, uh, just needed some air.
Nicole: Well, what's wrong, honey?
Nicole: Could you be a little more specific?
Chloe: I think I'm gonna lose Daniel.
Daniel: You really need to get this. For the first time since I lost Rebecca, I don't hurt anymore. I don't. And for years I was bitter and alone. And I'll tell you what, I got to be honest with you. I didn't really care. Now, that woman, Chloe, has changed all that. She's made me realize that it is possible to feel again, to love again. Do you understand me? I love Chloe.
Carly: Daniel, I do understand. That's what it's so hard to tell you what I'm about to.
Nicole: Wait, Chloe, um, what's going on?
Chloe: I did something really, really terrible.
Nicole: Chloe, nothing you could do will ever be as bad as what I've done. That's one of the benefits of being friends with me. I can never judge you. Well, and if I do, you can always tell me to shut up.
Chloe: It's not that I don't trust you, Nicole. It's just that... it hurts too much to talk about it, and... when my secret comes out, it's over. Daniel will never forgive me.
Nicole: Chloe, look, you're getting married any day now, and once you lock Daniel down in front of the priest and in front of God... he's not the kind of guy that's about to un-marry you.
Chloe: I guess getting married would solidify things, but my secret could still come out at any time.
Nicole: Then don't wait. Make this marriage happen right now.
Carly: Daniel, the reason I'm concerned is...
Daniel: You know what? I got to go.
Carly: Go. I'll wait.
Daniel: No, don't bother, 'cause after this, I am going straight home to tell Chloe the good news about tomorrow.
Carly: Oh, come on, listen to me.
Daniel: And I know you think I'm in denial about her issues, but I'm not.
Carly: I don't think that. I just--
Daniel: And I know you are trying to help me, but you're not. You're not. Now, I am going to marry Chloe tomorrow. End of discussion.
Sami: I didn't say Arianna is guilty.
Gabi: No, but that's what you think.
Gabi: And once Rafe finds out you refused to help his family, he will never forgive you, and it'll be about time he realized what kind of person you really are.
EJ: Okay. These are the dates and times of all of the other assaults. Now, if we can find an alibi for you for just one of these, that would help your case enormously.
Arianna: I mean, I, like, don't even know what I did yesterday, okay? I--I don't--I don't keep a diary or anything.
EJ: Think. Look, if you can find an alibi for one of these, we could get you out on bail. We could maybe get these charges dropped altogether.
Arianna: You know, don't even--don't even get your hopes up 'cause, um... I got it.
Bo: Ciara's supposed to have that sleepover at Mackenzie's, but if it's okay with her, I'm gonna have her come home with me, you know, so we can have some time together.
Hope: Okay. Yeah, that, um... that's a good idea.
Bo: You gonna be okay?
Hope: Yeah, I'm just--I'm just tired. I just... probably gonna turn in early tonight.
Bo: Still reading that? Thought you finished it a long time ago.
Hope: Yeah, I know. Can you believe it? I think I've reread the same page for the last ten minutes. Horrendously boring, but I'm determined to finish it. One of the great books, they say. Whoever "they" are.
Bo: Stubborn as ever. Nice to see some things haven't changed.
Ciara: I'm ready.
Hope: All right, sweetheart. You have everything you need?
Ciara: Yep, it's all right here.
[Knock at door]
Chloe: What do you want now?
Carly: Daniel spoke to Father Matt. You two are getting married tomorrow.
Carly: I know you've thought long and hard about how you're gonna tell Daniel the truth, but you're running out of time. Chloe, you have to talk to him. Tonight.
Chloe: How is it that you know my wedding date before I do?
Carly: I ran into Daniel at the hospital, and he told me. He was so happy, Chloe.
Chloe: Oh, yeah, and you hate that, so you just have to ruin it.
Carly: No, look, I pray the two of you work this out.
Chloe: Oh, give me a break. You don't pray. Why don't you just give this up, Carly? You said you would.
Carly: I wish I could. I tried to tell myself this was none of my business, and then I talked to Kate, and--
Chloe: Oh, what? What? She said that I'm a slut, or that I'm crazy?
Carly: No, stop putting words in my mouth.
Chloe: I can't stand you.
Carly: I don't blame you. But I'm not here to win friends. I really hope you understand I have your best interest at heart. And Daniel's.
Chloe: Will you please just go to hell?
Carly: This is the last time I'll say it.
Chloe: Thank God.
Carly: Please tell him. He loves you. And he'll be devastated at first, but in the end, maybe he'll forgive you. I truly hope he does.
Chloe: Yeah, right.
Carly: I do. But he needs to be given that choice. Because if you don't, I will.
Chloe: Oh, my God. Nicole's right. I know what I have to do.
Hope: You have fun with your dad, okay, sweetheart?
Ciara: Good night.
Hope: Good night, my love. I love you, baby. You have a wonderful, wonderful time. Sleep well.
Bo: Call you tomorrow.
Maggie: Well, during the reception, I kept looking around the room, and it hit me. This had already been the second wedding I had been to since Mickey died. Life just keeps plugging along. More time that passes, the more often that I think, "Do I still remember?" The sound of his voice, or the touch of his hand in mine.
Victor: No one's ever gonna forget Mickey.
Maggie: And then I look at Ciara and how fast she's growing up, and I wonder if she's ever gonna remember her Uncle Mickey in a few years. I mean, not just the way he looked, but all the wonderful things that he had accomplished, and... the lives. How many he had touched.
Victor: You know, when Isabella died, I had the same problem. She was so young. She had touched so many people. I couldn't help but think how much more she could have done.
Maggie: I remember. You started the Toscano Foundation in her name, and Bella magazine. Oh, you did her proud, Victor.
Victor: Well, thank you. I hope so.
[Cell phone rings]
Victor: Excuse me.
Vivian: Victor, where the hell are you?
Nicole: Brady. You're back.
Brady: Yeah. I'm, uh, look, I'm headed to the pub, 'cause I got to pick up some stuff for Arianna.
Nicole: How did your visit go?
Brady: It went great. Went fine. Look, I got to go, okay?
Nicole: Wait, Brady, wait. Come on. You're upset. I can tell.
Brady: Yeah, I'm upset. My fiancée's in jail, and things aren't good.
Nicole: You can't lie to me. Don't even try.
Brady: All right, I won't lie to you. Things are very rough with Ari and I, okay?
Nicole: Well, I wouldn't take that too much to heart.
Brady: Really? Why would you say something like that?
Nicole: Because, I've seen you two, and because Arianna's not an idiot. She couldn't possibly be angry with you. I mean, she's--she's scared and she's afraid, but she loves you. And no matter what happens, Arianna will come back to you. She always does.
Arianna: The night that Justin was attacked, there's no way that I could have done it.
EJ: Why? What were you doing?
Arianna: Um, it was the day after Brady and I got back from Santo Domingo. It was the day after we were supposed to be married.
Arianna: Okay, um, Brady wrote this check to Nicole. He was trying to get her to leave town.
EJ: Uh-huh. Yeah, good luck there.
Arianna: Yeah, exactly. Right. So I actually took the check, and I gave it to Nicole. That same night, I tracked her down at Java. So according to this--this timeline here, there's no way I attacked Justin. I was with Nicole.
EJ: That's odd.
Arianna: You don't believe me.
EJ: No, no, no. No, sorry, no, I do believe you.
EJ: But based on what you've just told me, Nicole could have come to your rescue at any time. But she didn't. I mean, despite all of her pleas on television. That means either she doesn't remember, or she does remember and she didn't do it.
Arianna: It's really refreshing to talk to someone who isn't blinded by Nicole's good intentions.
EJ: Yes, believe me, I've long been cured of that unfortunate affliction.
Arianna: Well, that being said, I have to give her the benefit of the doubt here. I mean, even I didn't put this together until now, so I don't know why she would have.
EJ: Hmm? Yeah, no, I suppose.
Arianna: Wait, where--where are you going?
EJ: Fact-checking mission. Don't worry. I'll be back before your arraignment.
Arianna: Okay. Uh, wait. Just before you go, I... I just wanted you to know that... this is, like, the first moment I have hope since they brought me in here, so I just--thank you. I don't know how I can possibly thank you.
EJ: Back in a bit.
Brady: Well, I wish I could be as sure as you are.
Nicole: Brady, wait. Come on. Hey. Look. Ari knows how lucky she is to have you. She wouldn't give up on that kind of love. Not without a fight.
Brady: Thank you. It can't be easy for you to say something like that.
Nicole: No, it's not easy. Mostly because I'm the one who was an idiot, and you... you loved me, and I let you slip away.
Brady: Nicole, don't--
Nicole: And I now made you feel really uncomfortable, and I should have stopped while I was ahead. I'm sorry.
Brady: You do make me smile. I should go.
Nicole: Hey, Brady, um, you know, I'll be at the Cheatin’ Heart later if you just need a little pep talk, or anything.
Brady: I'll see you.
Nicole: Please let Ari be stupid and stubborn for just a little while longer. Just long enough for her to be sent away to the big house. For good.
Victor: Vivian, hold it. I'll take this outside.
Maggie: Uh, no, no. You stay here. I'll go check my email.
Vivian: Victor, where are you?
Victor: I'm at Maggie Horton's.
Vivian: Oh, what are you doing there? Come back. It's our wedding night. I want--I demand you come home now.
Victor: You demand nothing. After your behavior today, you're lucky I don't take that bridal veil of yours and strangle you with it.
Vivian: You--you can't mean that.
Victor: No? Don't tempt me.
Vivian: Victor, I--I thought we could--
Victor: Good night, Vivian.
Vivian: Victor--Victor, don't hang up. Victor! Damn you!
Daniel: Where's my honey? There you are.
Daniel: Hey. I have got the best surprise. These are for you.
Chloe: Oh, thank you.
Daniel: But that's not it.
Chloe: Well, what is it?
Daniel: I talked to Father Matt, and he can marry us tomorrow.
Chloe: Oh, my gosh. That's incredible.
Daniel: Come here. Okay, wait. Why, is it too soon?
Chloe: No, no, no, it's perfect. Although...
Daniel: Oh, no.
Chloe: Well, I've had some time to think, and you're not on duty tonight, and how often does that happen? And I didn't know when Father Matt would be available, so I made some calls, and I found the most wonderfully romantic place ever in Brookeville, and they do the flowers. They do the cake. They do the champagne. They do everything. Even the wedding night. So what do you say? We can become husband and wife tonight.
Daniel: Get out.
Sami: Hey. Uh, Rafe, it's Sami. Um, obviously you're not checking your messages, but look. I really think you need to get in touch, because, um, your sister, Arianna, she's in trouble, and she needs you. And I... anyway, I'm hoping you'll call. Uh, talk soon.
Chloe: Isn't that a great idea? Nice surprise?
Daniel: It is a surpri--it's amazing. It is. But I know how much you want Father Matt to marry us.
Chloe: Yeah, but it doesn't matter.
Daniel: And I want Melanie to be there. I mean, she and Philip are family now. So, I mean, it's great, but what? What is this about?
Chloe: Nothing. I'm just--I'm really excited to get married. That's all.
Daniel: You are. You're glowing. And so am I. So am I. But you and Father Matt have been through so much, and now he's available, so what--what's one more day to wait?
Chloe: You're right. It's great. It's a great idea.
Daniel: All right. I'm gonna go tell Melanie in person, okay?
Daniel: You okay?
Chloe: Yeah, I'm fine. Promise.
Daniel: Okay. I love you.
Chloe: Mm. Love you too.
Daniel: All right. Ugh. Get me out of here.
Carly: Hey, you too. Welcome back.
Bo: Thank you. Come here. Manners, little girl.
Ciara: Hi, Carly.
Carly: No, don't be.
Bo: How did things go with your errand?
Carly: Oh, you know, we can talk about that later. I'm more concerned about Ciara. What happened after I left?
Bo: Had a little talk with Hope. Apparently my daughter's been acting out a bit more than I knew, and it's taking its toll on her mom.
Carly: I'm sorry to hear that.
Bo: Yeah, me too. But tonight we've got some time to bond with my daughter, and Hope can relax and have some peace and quiet.
Sami: Oh, hey. I'm glad I caught you.
Arianna: Oh, well, if you hadn't, you'd know where to find me. Um, so what are you doing here?
Sami: I came here to check on you. I just wanted to know if there was anything I could do.
Arianna: Thank you. Um, but, uh, someone's been looking out for me, so with any luck, I should get out of here tonight.
Nicole: Come on, Brady. Don't leave me hanging. I am so glad you...
Victor: So what do you think?
Maggie: Oh, I think it's a wonderful idea, Victor. Mickey would be so honored to have a scholarship established in his name. Working with law students and mentoring and teaching and... oh, my. Those were some of his favorite things.
Victor: Well, of course, we've got a lot of details to work out.
Maggie: Well, they can wait. I think I've kept you long enough tonight.
Victor: Oh, come on. One more round of coffee. This is the most fun I've had all day.
Chloe: I don't want to lose you, Daniel. I have to find a way to stop Carly. I know that Vivian wants to do something awful, but... oh, God, what am I gonna do?
Bo: I am gonna call Ma, tell her what happened with Victor today, and, well, I've just been putting it off a little too long.
Carly: Good luck with that.
Bo: Thank you.
Carly: Hey, Ciara. Um, your dad said that you were gonna pack some of your favorite stories. Why don't I read you one before bedtime, huh? What you got in there?
Ciara: Leave them alone. They're my secrets.
Hope: Up for some fun tonight?
Richard: What kind of fun?
Hope: The best kind, of course.
Richard: I'm surprised to hear from you. You kind of disappeared on me.
Hope: Then let's make up for lost time. I'm ready to do some serious damage, and I know just the place to go.
Arianna: So now that I have a good lawyer, hopefully it won't be too much longer before I get out of here.
Sami: I'm so glad Brady was able to help you.
Arianna: Actually, Brady's not too happy about this.
Sami: Why? Who's your lawyer?
Arianna: EJ didn't tell you. He's representing me now.
Nicole: Do you mind moving? You're in my way. I can't see the television with your big head.
EJ: Sure. I just have one quick question for you, though, before I go.
Nicole: [Sighs] What?
EJ: Well, I know what you did to Arianna. What I don't know is why.
Vivian: If we work together, we can stop Carly from ruining your happiness.
Daniel: We are getting married tomorrow.
EJ: And I think you are going back to prison.
