Carly: Chloe. [Sighs] Listen, I know you're angry with me, but I... what you accused me of, it must have been some misunderstanding.
Chloe: Drop the innocent act, okay, Carly. You didn't cover your tracks well enough. That creep knows it, and so do I.
Carly: What creep?
Chloe: Remember, you said that he was at your motel with Carly Manning, and then tonight you said I was mistaken.
Chloe: Yeah, about an hour and a half ago at the Cheatin' Heart.
Clerk: What are you talking about? I never seen you before in my whole life. Whole lot of cash for very little work. Just the way I like it. And that money's sure gonna come in handy. Lock it up, chief. [Hums cheerfully] Hey, whoa, what the-- what are you crazy? Hey, are you nuts?
Daniel: Tell me what's going on. Now. Tell me who made you lie.
Vivian: Oh, Maxine.
Maxine: I have a lot of patients to see, Mrs. Alamain.
Vivian: I'm not gonna keep you. I just want to know where my fiancé is.
Maxine: Your what?
Vivian: Victor Kiriakis.
Maxine: You two are getting married?
Vivian: Obviously you don't read the society page. Anyway he left me a very cryptic message that he was visiting here, and, well, I'd just like to know where he is.
Maxine: I know where he is, yeah, but he made it clear he didn't want to be disturbed.
Vivian: Excuse me, I'm about to become his wife. He's always happy to see me. If you don't tell me where he is, I'm going to have to report you to my future husband, who happens to be on the board, for your insolence.
Maxine: Fine. Fine. He's in there.
Vivian: Thank you. Excuse me.
Maggie: You're giving me way too much credit, Victor. All I did was point out to Melanie that she just cut you some slack. I also pointed out to her that you do have some lovely qualities.
Victor: Well, obviously, coming from you, Maggie, it made quite an impression on her. And I'm extremely grateful.
Arianna: You feel better? No more headache?
Brady: I think it's gone. What you're doing feels really good.
Arianna: Mm, that's good.
[Cell phone rings]
Brady: Oh, da--really?
Brady: Oh, God. It's Roman.
Arianna: Well, you better get it.
Roman: Ah, Brady. This is Roman. Look, I know it's late, but I was hoping you could come down to the station, go over your statement, and sign it.
Brady: Uh, sure. Of course.
Roman: Also wanted to go over some theories with you about the attack.
Brady: Okay. But I thought hope was...
Roman: I'm covering for her. Seems there's a small problem with Ciara, so hope has decided to stay in tonight.
Nicole: Dr. Richard Baker, as I live and breathe?
Baker: [In Australian accent] I'm not Dr. Baker, but I get that a lot. Excuse me.
Nicole: You beady-eyed bastard. You're supposed to be dead. Why aren't you dead?
Baker: As I said, you have me mistaken for someone else.
Nicole: I know it's you, Dick Baker, and you know I know, so stop playing games. In God's name, why are you still alive? I mean, I even framed your stupid obituary.
Baker: And why aren't you still in prison, you little baby thief? Now get out of here, Nicole, before...
Nicole: Before what? Huh? Before you call the cops? Because that's my job unless you tell me what's going on and what the hell are you up to. All of it.
Carly: What creep, Chloe?
Chloe: So you're just gonna keep playing innocent, huh?
Carly: You know, if you're just gonna continue with the accusations and insults with nothing to substantiate them--
Chloe: No, that's where you're wrong, okay? I have plenty to substantiate what I know. That man may have lied to Daniel, but I know what I heard.
Carly: I have no idea what you're talking about. Who is it you think I roped--
Chloe: No, I don't think. I know, Carly. I also know that you're sick. You think I'm not good enough for Daniel, so you go to these elaborate, hateful lengths to destroy our happiness? But your schemes were for nothing, Dr. Manning, because Daniel believes me.
Chloe: He believes me and only me.
Daniel: Don't even think about calling for help. Not if you want to keep breathing.
Clerk: What do you want?
Daniel: I want you to think.
Clerk: Hey, wait--wait a second. I know you. You're the guy from last night. You were with that woman.
Daniel: Yeah, yeah, the one you never seen before. Yeah, that one.
Clerk: So that's what this is all about.
Daniel: Yes, there you go. Now you're catching on.
Clerk: Hey, look, it was an innocent mistake. I don't know the lady, I swear.
Daniel: And why in the hell should I believe you?
Clerk: Because I got no reason to lie. I'm telling you, man. Listen to me. You're looking for answers, but I'm not that guy.
Daniel: All right. Well, my fiancée, she thinks a female friend of mine has made up this story, made her believe that I was having an affair.
Clerk: Oh, jeez. Oh, that's not very nice, your friend.
Daniel: Actually, she is a nice person. An honest person. So it really doesn't make sense for her to do something like this.
Clerk: Well, there you go. There's your answer. Obviously, your girlfriend made the whole thing up.
Daniel: Yeah, but why would she do that, hmm?
Clerk: Broads, they're nuts. Listen, I don't know either one of these women, your girlfriend or your so-called friend. All I know is one of them must be lying.
Daniel: Or maybe you are.
Clerk: Me? Why would I lie?
Daniel: I don't know. You tell me.
Maggie: Please, no more thanks.
Vivian: I agree. Getting a little tiresome, Victor.
Victor: Vivian, I was just about to call you.
Vivian: Right, and the check is in the mail.
Victor: You seem a bit rattled. Are you all right?
Vivian: Well, yes, I'm just concerned about Maggie. What are you doing in the hospital, dear?
Maggie: I've--I've been tired, actually, so they're running some tests.
Vivian: You checked into the hospital because you're tired?
Maggie: It's a little more than that. I felt faint and collapsed.
Vivian: Ooh! How terrifying.
Maggie: It would have been. But luckily Victor was there to help me out.
Vivian: How fortuitous.
Maggie: It was. Yes.
Vivian: Well, so nice of you to visit with Maggie with all that you have on your plate. I'm sure he's told you about all of our nuptial plans.
Maggie: We didn't discuss that, no.
Vivian: Uh-huh. Well, I suppose he didn't tell you how busy he and I are with all the arrangements. In fact, we have an appointment, several of them, this evening, so we should be hitting the road.
Victor: Why would I leave now? Maggie and I are in the middle of a conversation.
Vivian: I can see that, but surely--
Victor: I'm not going anywhere, Vivian.
Brady: I have to go to the police station.
Arianna: Oh, I'm coming.
Brady: No, you don't have to come. Stay here. Relax.
Arianna: What? No. Not only were you attacked and robbed, you were marked. I can't relax until the person is found. [Sighs]
Baker: Look, as much as I would love to stay and chat with you, I really should be going.
Nicole: No. No, no, no, no. You are gonna tell me exactly why you are still alive.
Baker: [Sighs] Fine. I'll make it simple for you. After you told me that you ratted me out to Stefano, your then father-in-law, I figured I didn't have a lot of time before he sent his goons to arrive on the scene and do me in.
Nicole: But he did send them. And Sami and Rafe found you dead.
Baker: I was a version of dead.
Nicole: A version? Oh, my God. You made them think that you were dead? But you--how the hell did you pull that off?
Baker: Wouldn't you like to know.
Hope: That's a good girl. Mommy will be back very soon.
Clerk: So, I mean, what are you saying? Just because I work in a sleazy motel, that makes me a liar?
Daniel: No, no, of course not.
Clerk: Hey, look, man, my reputation is clean, all right? I'm a honest, hard-working person who does his job, but minds his own business.
Daniel: Huh. So you're saying that my fiancée's a liar.
Clerk: I'm not saying anything. I don't make any judgments. All I'm saying is she's a little confused, that's all. Does she have a history of mental illness by any chance?
Daniel: What kind of question is that?
Clerk: Or maybe...
Daniel: Maybe what?
Clerk: Well, maybe she's got a good reason for hating your friend. Maybe that's why she came up with this little story. All I know is I never saw your girlfriend before in my life, and if the truth be told, I never want to see her again. Or you either for that matter.
Daniel: Go on. Get out of here.
Clerk: Glad I could be of service.
Vivian: Fine. Well, as long as you need to stay here and visit with Maggie, I suppose our wedding plans could wait.
Victor: They will wait.
Vivian: Indeed. Well, I hope you're feeling better, Maggie.
Maggie: Yes, thank you.
Victor: Vivian, Maggie and I were in the middle of a rather personal one-on-one. You and I will talk later.
Vivian: Right. Well, I'm busy anyway.
[Cell phone buzzing]
Vivian: I have to deal with our very charming wedding planner. Excuse me.
Vivian: [Sighs] Yes, what is it?
Clerk: That doctor, he tracked me down, started questioning me again, just like you warned.
Vivian: Yeah, and?
Clerk: And he was angry as hell. Treated me like I was dirt.
Vivian: You were calm and polite, I trust?
Clerk: Of course. And ready with my spiel.
Vivian: And he bought it?
Clerk: He had to. Lucky for me, I was never in trouble before, so there was nothing for him to dig up. But I know he's still out there trying. Trust me on that.
Vivian: Well, it's his beloved fiancée's word against yours.
Clerk: Yeah, well, beloved as she may be, I think Dr. What's-his-name is starting to think his fiancée's a little batty, you know, confused.
Vivian: Yeah, well, the woman's not too bright, so it's not a big jump from there.
Clerk: Look, I don't want anything to do with that guy again, all right? So I'm gonna take part of my money, buy a plane ticket, and get me the hell out of Salem for good.
Vivian: Brilliant idea. Bon voyage. [Sighs]
Daniel: Hey, how's it going? You almost done at the hospital?
Chloe: Yeah, in a few minutes. Are we still on for our dinner date tonight?
Daniel: Uh, actually, would it be all right if we met at home?
Chloe: Of course. Daniel, is something wrong? You sound kind of strange.
Nicole: Dick Baker, if you do not tell me how you went from dead to undead...
Baker: Nicole, Nicole, you know the story about curiosity killing that pussycat?
Nicole: How come you're not dead?
Baker: 'Cause I'm a doctor. And a quick thinker. And those things came in very handy that day. [Sighs] Not a lot of time.
Baker: Oh, baby, I hope to God this works.
Nicole: So... you injected yourself with a drug that slows your heart rate down to the point where you actually look dead... but before it took effect, you strangled yourself?
Baker: Mm. You should be happy. Aren't you happy? Come on, you got a clear conscience now. My blood is no longer on your hands.
Nicole: Yeah, the silver lining.
Baker: Okay. Are we done here?
Nicole: No. No. [Sighs] There's still your more recent activities to discuss.
Baker: No idea what you are t...
Daniel: No. No, nothing's wrong. I'd just rather meet at home. I want to spend some time alone with you.
Chloe: You just sound a little strange.
Daniel: Why, because I just-- I don't want to go out to dinner?
Chloe: It's Carly, isn't it? She said something to you about me?
Daniel: No, it's not Carly. I promise you.
Chloe: Okay, fine. Um, I'll see you at home.
Daniel: Okay. I'll see you at home.
Chloe: Damn it. That bitch is poisoning him against me. I know it.
Vivian: Gus, Chloe's leaving the hospital. I want you to follow her. Listen to every conversation. I think our little songbird's gonna get some bad news, and I want to see how it plays out.
Arianna: So that's what the branding represents? Female empowerment?
Roman: Yeah, and if that's the case, this woman has a problem with men in general or Brady specifically.
Brady: [Sighs] Well, that narrows it down, doesn't it?
Arianna: So now they suspect that it's a woman?
Roman: Just a theory right now. But Hope believes in it strongly.
Hope: Hey. Hi.
Hope: Carly, it is so good to see you.
Carly: It's good to see you too, but I really should be going.
Hope: Oh, wait, not yet. I was really hoping that we could talk and chat for a couple of minutes.
Carly: You want to chat?
Hope: Yeah. Look, I know, I know, we have definitely had our issues, but I have really been thinking about that a lot lately, and...
Hope: Well, I can honestly say with all of my heart that I don't hate your guts anymore. You're--you're a decent, well-meaning person, and I can see that. [Laughs] I'm sorry. You just--you look shocked.
Carly: Well, why wouldn't I be?
Hope: Haven't you ever changed your opinion of someone?
Carly: I have. I absolutely have, but not quite so suddenly.
Hope: Oh, there's nothing sudden about this. Like I said, I've given it a lot of thought.
Carly: I see.
Hope: And I realize that I have... judged you so unfairly. And I'm sorry. Truly. I'm being sincere. I'm not playing a game here.
Carly: Okay. So you say that you judged me unfairly. Does that mean--
Hope: It means that I... I no longer blame you for what happened with my husband. Not in the least.
Carly: That's quite the 180.
Hope: Well, like I said, I've had a change of heart.
Carly: Attributable to what?
Hope: Well, I guess you could say that... I have finally gotten some perspective on things. Figured out where the blame really lies.
Baker: It's a money clip.
Nicole: No, really?
Baker: And the significance of it would be other than it's gold and probably holds a good wad of cash?
Nicole: Mm. Poor Dicky Baker. Lost it in a poker game today.
Baker: Don't know what the hell you're talking about.
Nicole: Ah, but come to think of it, is it poor Dicky? Since he stole it. Took it from his victim just last night. At least now I know what you've been up to, you who should be dead. So, what, you're not delivering babies and switching them, that got boring obviously, so now you've been mugging people?
Baker: And when you're not stealing babies, you decide to, what, become a detective? And a very bad one, by the way.
Nicole: This is your new and creative way of feeding your nasty little gambling habit, is it?
Baker: Okay, I'm outta here.
Nicole: And at some point, you decided to make it personal. First EJ, then Brady.
Baker: Look. They don't care about that money. I don't care about those filthy rich bastards.
Nicole: Oh, so you admit it.
Baker: I don't admit anything. I'm just saying that if Brady black and EJ DiMera were out a few hundred bucks, my heart doesn't bleed.
Nicole: [Scoffs] But it's still illegal. Just because they're rich doesn't mean that you can knock 'em over the head and rip 'em off.
Baker: Nicole, do me a favor. Shut up. You can't prove a thing.
Nicole: Actually... I can prove a whole lot. You're going down, Dicky. Tonight.
Roman: No. No, no. That's all right. I'll be right down. Okay, no, good work. Thanks. Okay, I have to deal with this. I won't be long. So if you want to wait around...
Arianna: Yeah, we're--we're waiting, yes. We're waiting.
Roman: Okay. Good.
Brady: [Clears throat]
Arianna: So. I guess they think that this person's a female.
Brady: Yeah, you know what, I don't really want to talk about it.
Arianna: Really? You don't want to find out who this is and have them arrested?
Brady: Ari, when I say I don't want to talk about it, I really don't want to talk about it.
Arianna: Okay. Well, we know it wasn't Nicole because she was with my sister at the time of the attack.
Brady: Ari. You know what, I don't need your sister's alibi to convince me that it wasn't Nicole. Nicole would never hurt me that way.
Arianna: Because she loves you.
Brady: Did you really just say that? You want to go there?
Arianna: Why wouldn't I say it? It's the truth.
Brady: You know what, the truth is that you keep talking about Nicole's feelings for me 24/7. I'm tired of it.
Arianna: Oh, forgive me if I'm boring you.
Brady: Ari. The point is it's not a happy subject for us, so why bring it up, hmm?
Arianna: Okay, don't act like I'm bringing this up out of nowhere. That's not fair.
Brady: I certainly didn't bring it up, so that leaves you.
Arianna: Of course you didn't bring it up because you get more and more tense about the subject lately.
Brady: I'm not te--what do you mean, ten--I'm not tense.
Arianna: You know what? You know Nicole loves you, and she thinks that you're in love with her, and you know what's even more heartwarming? She actually thinks she has a chance with you.
Baker: You better stop with the threats, do you hear me?
Nicole: Ooh, I'm so scared.
Baker: You are a joke in this town, you understand? You're a laughing stock. Nobody's gonna believe a word out of that mouth.
Nicole: So you take one step closer, and I will scream.
Baker: We're gonna make a deal, do you understand?
Nicole: Get your filthy hand-- make another deal with you? Are you insane?
Baker: I can turn this around, trust me.
Nicole: [Laughs] You are delusional. Right in character. You have nothing to offer me. And I'm a big shot reporter now.
Baker: Yeah, caught one of your broadcasts. A little stiff, if you ask me.
Nicole: You know, maybe if you left Brady alone, maybe if you didn't hurt him or humiliate him with that sick brand...
Baker: Look, I didn't pick... she...she...
Nicole: She? So we talking a Bonnie and Clyde deal here? So who is she? Who's your little lady partner?
Carly: So you feel the blame lies with...
Hope: With Bo. Why, he's the one who did this to me. It's all on him.
Carly: [Laughs] Hope, have you talked to Bo about this, your change of heart?
Hope: Why would I? Why does it matter?
Carly: Why would you? Honestly, I don't feel comfortable talking about this, knowing you haven't told him.
Hope: Then you tell him.
Hope: Or not. Whatever. Ooh, listen, I better get going. I don't want to be late. If you ever want to get together again and chat some more, I would love that. So just give me a ring. Carly, thank you so much for your time. I really appreciate it. Thank you.
Carly: Are you jogging at this hour?
Daniel: Uh, well, yeah, just trying to, you know, de-stress. That's all.
Carly: Chloe told you about our run-in, didn't she?
Daniel: No. She didn't. What happened this time?
Carly: She's angry. Obviously. But the newest little bit is that she thinks that, in my efforts to ruin your relationship, that I've involved someone else.
Carly: Daniel, she didn't tell you that she thinks that?
Daniel: Actually, she did.
Carly: You have to know that none of this is true.
Daniel: I know that.
Carly: You've been a great friend to me. Why would I ever want to hurt you?
Daniel: You wouldn't.
Carly: I don't know where she's getting all this.
Daniel: Well, neither do I, but I do know there is no truth to what she's saying. She's wrong. She's just dead wrong.
Baker: Look, forget about the partner.
Nicole: Oh, I don't think so.
Baker: It's not important. And really, I mean, Brady's gonna be fine. No harm, no foul.
Nicole: No harm, no foul? He's not dead, so I'm supposed to let you off the hook, you sick bastard?
Baker: Listen to me, I'm just asking you...for a little compassion. I've had a rough time for a bit here, and you of all people should have some empathy.
Nicole: For you? No. That's why I'm going to the cops, and I'm telling them everything. If you don't want to spill about your partner to me, then you can fess up to the Salem PD. And I will look like a hero in Brady's eyes. And you will pay for your crimes. So enjoy your last few minutes of freedom, Baker. They're all you have left.
Daniel: It's just--it's just so out of character 'cause she is not a vindictive person, so for her to be saying the things she's been saying, it just makes no sense. I don't know what to do. I want to believe her. I want to trust her unconditionally. You know, and I would take her word over a stranger any day. Anyone usually. I would just take her word for it. Only I can't confirm any part of her story. So I got to at least consider the... [Grumbles]
Carly: Daniel, come on. If she created this whole story just to get you to hate me, don't you think you need to understand why she would go to such lengths?
Daniel: You know, it's not a matter of understanding. The Chloe that I fell in love with would never do something like this. Ever.
Maggie: I feel a little guilty.
Maggie: Oh, for keeping you from Vivian. She seemed a bit peeved with you for being here with me in the first place.
Victor: That's Vivian's default demeanor. Didn't you know that? Peeved. Especially at me.
Maggie: No, I didn't. Anyway, I want to thank you, Victor, for helping me out tonight... and for not sharing my private battle with anyone.
Victor: You know, I realize that most people in this town think I'm a monster. And it's true, if I'm crossed, I do strike back. But for those few people that I admire and respect, I have their back. As I have yours, Maggie, always.
[Cell phone rings]
Vivian: Yeah, Gus, what is it? I'm in the middle of something.
Gus: You've got to get down here right away, Madame. You may have hit the jackpot.
Brady: Why do we keep doing this, Arianna?
Arianna: Why is this subject off-limits? If I'm concerned about Nicole constantly trying to insinuate herself into our lives, am I not allowed to express that? Am I not supposed to mention her name because it gets on your nerves?
Brady: All right, here's what I'm gonna say about the subject, and I want you to listen. I don't care how she feels. I don't care about her trying to insinuate herself into my life. It doesn't matter to me because I love you. That's the end of the story. Now let's talk about what's good on TV tonight. What?
Arianna: You know what. I hate being shut down like this, you know. It makes me feel like you still care about her.
Brady: God, Ari, come on!
Arianna: Otherwise, you wouldn't be so uncomfortable even talking about her. If she really meant nothing to you...
Brady: [Groans] I love you.
Arianna: I'm sorry. I love you, I do. It's just...
Brady: Just--no, no. No, no.
Daniel: I don't know what to make of it, Carly. I mean, for Chloe to hate you that much?
Carly: Well, look, she has reason to resent me. I suddenly come back into your life because of our daughter? That had to have been very hard for her.
Daniel: Yeah. And more than I initially thought, obviously.
Carly: What do you mean?
Daniel: Well, you know Chloe's been unable to conceive a child.
Carly: I do. Yeah.
Daniel: Well, what you don't know is, just before you told me about Melanie, she had a hysterical pregnancy.
Carly: Oh, Daniel, I'm so sorry.
Daniel: Yeah, well, so the fact that you and I made a baby, that you gave me a child, I mean, it just has to be crushing for her.
Carly: Yeah. More than I realized. And now I just... I don't know. I love her. And we have been through so much to be together.
Carly: I know.
Daniel: But I'm telling you, Carly, I'm gonna fix it. Whatever's going wrong, right now it is up to me to make it right.
Vivian: What makes you think my plan's gonna work? What did you hear?
Gus: It's not what I heard. It's what Miss Lane overheard.
Gus: Dr. Jonas telling Dr. Manning he didn't believe a word Chloe was saying. He thinks his little opera singer may be losing her mind.
Vivian: [Gasps] How divine. And bless you for eavesdropping so brilliantly. I have to play this very carefully. This opportunity may never come again. Oh.
Chloe: [Groans] No Nicole. [Sighs] But I can't call Philip. Not after what happened. It's too risky. I don't have anyone else. Philip, hey, it's me. Can you call me as soon as you get this? Um, Carly's won. Daniel believes her and not me.
Vivian: Oh, I can't believe it. My wedding plans maliciously canceled by that horrid, sadistic witch.
Gus: But you don't know that, Madame. There's no proof she was involved.
Vivian: Oh, Gus, don't be naive. That's Carly manning. It's vintage Carly manning. Just fix it before I completely fall apart.
Gus: Right away, Madame.
Vivian: God. That lowlife woman. Carly manning, she just gets away with everything.
Hope: Doc. Are you trying to get away from me again?
Baker: Nicole DiMera found me, and she knows that I was involved in the muggings, okay?
Hope: Oh, dear.
Baker: Yeah. And she also knows that I was not the only one involved, okay? She's spilling to the cops. She's probably at the station right now telling them everything, so, you and I, it's over, okay, detective? We got to leave Salem. We got to disappear.
Hope: Oh, no. Not me. No one would ever believe that I would be involved in this. I know exactly how to cover my tracks.
Baker: What are you saying?
Hope: This partnership is over. You're on your own now.
Brady: Let's get out of here. What do you say?
Arianna: You talked me into it.
Brady: Let's go find Roman, tell him we're out of here.
Brady: Get your purse.
Nicole: Ugh. "You talked me into it." Stupid little... why does she get a free pass? She's the one without an alibi. Oh, wait a minute.
Victor: Well, I'll let you get some rest.
Maggie: I'm getting a bit sleepy.
Victor: I'll call you tomorrow or drop in on you if that's okay.
Maggie: I'd like that. Good night.
Victor: Oh, and, Maggie, you will beat this.
Daniel: I knew she wasn't really dealing well with the loss. She just kept underplaying how upset she was. But, no, no, I didn't stay on it.
Carly: You can't blame yourself.
Daniel: No, I suggested therapy. But she refused to go. She felt like I was accusing her of being crazy, and then I just let it go, figured it'd sort of fix itself. I don't know. I guess I just--I got preoccupied with all of my stuff, and I didn't see what was going on inside of her.
Carly: You had a lot going on. You just found out you have a daughter, your accident, your vision problem. It isn't your fault.
Daniel: You know, it doesn't matter whose fault it is. I can't do that. I can't push things aside like that. I can't. Not anymore. I have got to confront Chloe on this. Unless...
Carly: Unless what?
Daniel: I mean, what if I'm wrong?
Vivian: Oh, excuse me. I didn't know the Carly Manning cheerleading squad was in the room.
Vivian: Oh, please. Chloe, I remember when you dismissed me after you had that terrible fight with Daniel over that witch. I was trying to be sweet, and you said, "leave me alone." Of course, you're marrying Daniel, and he's such a big fan of Carly Manning's.
Chloe: Oh, well, I'm not. Trust me. I can't stand the woman in fact.
Chloe: Yes, really. You're not the only one whose life she's messing with. Except no one seems to see it. They all think that I'm crazy.
Vivian: Well, you know, that's her M.O. To hide the truth from everyone so she can come out smelling like a rose. Actually it was only today when she--
Chloe: Oh, I heard. Yeah, I heard.
Vivian: Uh-huh. Well, you know, I think we just got off on the wrong foot. And I think possibly we could help each other. What do you think?
Arianna: Go on. Go ahead. [Giggles]
[Cell phone rings]
Arianna: Mm. Wait. I hear a phone.
Brady: Well, I don't hear it.
[Cell phone ringing]
Brady: I'm not getting it. I'm not gonna answer my phone. I don't want to answer my phone. Just you and me, no interruptions.
Baker: What do you mean, I'm on my own?
Hope: Just what it sounds like.
Hope: You best get that.
Nicole: So I've been reconsidering. Maybe I won't turn you in.
Nicole: But there's a little condition.
Baker: What would that be?
Nicole: It's time for you to break with tradition, baker. Your next victim-- Arianna Hernandez. (Quiet muttering)
Chloe: You know what, I have to confess. I have to tell Daniel.
Arianna: Maybe I'm tired of letting her walk all over me.
Nicole: She has something I want.
