EJ: So you are... going to move in or not?
Sami: EJ, if we're going to have this conversation, we should be open and honest with each other. And you know how I don't really do that.
EJ: That's a little bit old, Samantha. You've been, you know... you've been being open and honest with me since you told me about Sydney.
Sami: I know. It's so weird, right-- you and me being open and honest with each other. Imagine that.
EJ: Yeah, imagine that.
Sami: Oh, God, all right, all right. You want to be open and honest with... then let me open and honestly tell you that the idea of moving in with your father, it makes me want to run screaming from the room.
EJ: Okay. So that's a no?
Sami: No, not exactly.
Man: You planning a sleepover?
Baker: On my way out of town. Figured I'd play a few hands, make sure I go first class.
Man: Leaving, huh? See, I heard that you hooked up with a very fine looking woman. Seems a pity to move on.
Baker: [Sighs] She's a good-looking woman, all right.
Hope: Unh! Well, that went well.
Baker: Too bad she's a total whack job.
Nicole: This is crazy. I didn't mug EJ any more than you did.
Hope: If only I had a dollar for every time you told me you were innocent.
Nicole: This time I am. I told you, EJ is trying to frame me.
Hope: Well, let's see what I can do to help.
Daniel: Come on. Come on in for a drink. Which is an interesting way to celebrate my return to normal vision.
Carly: I'm not so sure about that.
Daniel: Aw, it'll be fine. Honey? Chloe? I'm home. You here?
Carly: You know what, you need to rest, so I'll head across the hall, and if Vivian comes to kill me, I'll yell really, really loud, okay?
Daniel: What is so wrong with old friends having a drink?
Carly: Maybe if Chloe were here, which she isnít. Daniel, I have to go. I'm not that into hanging out with someone who has a significant other.
Daniel: Carly. Carly...
Carly: Look, you need rest, not domestic strife.
Daniel: Yeah, but that's all over now, right? It's just a little misunderstanding, come on.
Carly: I'm gonna do the thinking for the two of us because you're not thinking.
[Knock on door]
Carly: And I'm gonna get the door.
Daniel: Yeah, get the door, would you?
Carly: Hey, what's up?
Melanie: Hi. We brought you, um, a welcome back/glad you're better basket.
Daniel: Well, come on in. Get in here. Why, thank you. Why'd you get two of them, though?
Both: That's not funny.
Melanie: That's not funny!
Daniel: A little funny.
Melanie: That's not even--no. What are you doing over there? Um, where's Chloe?
Chloe: Nathan, hey. I was waiting to talk to you.
Nathan: I've been in surgery for two hours.
Chloe: I know. I needed to talk to you before you left.
Nathan: You mean before I tell Daniel what I heard last night? That you slept with someone else?
EJ: [Clears throat] Would you mind telling me what exactly that means?
Sami: No, I wouldn't mind if I knew what it meant, if I knew how I felt, if I knew what I should do. I just...
EJ: Look, Samantha, I understand that moving into my house is a very tough decision for you to make.
Sami: You think?
EJ: I--I do. But I also feel--
Sami: I know. I know, EJ. I know how you feel. I mean, I've been listening. You want to do what's best for your kids. You want to create a family environment for them.
EJ: Right. Right.
Sami: So this is probably ill-advised, but I'm gonna tell you what Rafe said.
EJ: Well, I'm sure it was something very flattering about me.
Sami: He just had a question. "Why Stefanoís house?" If it's about doing what's best for our kids, why can't we just find our own place, you know? Make something work so we can create this family life for them. Why does it have to include Stefano and Kate? Why are they part of the package?
EJ: I mean, look, I know it's a very hard, you know, thing to swallow...
Sami: You know, they've both tried to kill me. Literally.
EJ: Uh... I thought I explained, Samantha, that, uh... that my father doesn't have a lot of time left. And you know, once he's gone, she's gone, believe me.
EJ: Look, Samantha, I really-- I didn't know my father growing up. Well, you know how precious time with my children is. And I feel the time with--
Sami: Him. With the man who didn't tell you the truth about your own daughter. Who let you grieve for Grace. I mean, not to mention all the things that he has done to me.
EJ: I understand why you can't forgive him, Samantha. But I also know why I feel that I have to.
Sami: Look, EJ, I can't say yes.
EJ: Samantha, come on, just--
Sami: But I'll think about it.
Stefano: [Chuckles] Ah, yes, it's me. You, uh...don't seem happy to see me. Anyway, I just saw Samantha leave. How did it go?
EJ: Let me put it this way. If you and Kate hadn't spent so much of your lives making her life miserable, it might be a little easier to persuade her to move into the house.
Stefano: Well, it's not an easy task. But you see, I have confidence. You are so highly motivated.
EJ: Hmm. Thank you. My motivation comes from the fact that if I don't do this, I get turned in to the police by you, and I lose my children.
Stefano: Eh, something like that. Oh, Elvis, be American, huh? When the going gets tough, the tough get going. [Clicks tongue]
Hope: A record of all of our previous little chats over the years.
Nicole: I am so telling my lawyer what you said.
Hope: That you have the right to remain silent?
Nicole: No, that you were gonna help EJ frame me.
Hope: Oh, Nicole, I'm terribly sorry. Complete misunderstanding. What I meant to say was I want to help truth and justice prevail. Here, take a look at this. Come on. Come on, it'll be fun. Look, "Suspect: Nicole walker. Attorney of record..." I'm sorry, I can't see that. What does that say? Oh, I can see it now. "EJ DiMera." Those were the days, weren't they? Hmm?
Nicole: This is not questioning. This is harassment. No, it's torture.
Hope: No, that's not allowed. Department's very strict about that.
Nicole: You're enjoying this. This is personal.
Hope: No, I am not enjoying this. I am not enjoying talking to someone who stole another woman's child, and who was rightfully convicted of doing so... but now is suddenly free because a corrupt governor was blackmailed.
Nicole: You can't say that. You're a cop. You have to be objective.
Hope: Supposed to be objective. Who knows, Nicole... maybe I'm at my breaking point.
Chloe: Nathan, I just need to know that you realize that you misunderstood what you heard.
Nathan: No, it seemed pretty straightforward to me.
Chloe: No, no, no. Even if you think you know what happened, you can't tell Daniel, all right? It will kill him.
Nathan: Oh, my telling him will kill him, not you doing it.
Chloe: Are you mad at me?
Nathan: You know, maybe I am mad. I can't help thinking about you in that coma, and Daniel not caring if he went to prison or not.
Chloe: I know.
Nathan: You know, he would have given his life for you, Chloe.
Chloe: I know that and I love Daniel with all my heart.
Nathan: And what about Melanie?
Chloe: Why would you be worrying about Melanie?
Nathan: She just found her father. I'm sure she's not gonna want to see him hurt by the woman he's about to marry.
Chloe: It was a mistake. Trust me, okay?
Nathan: Okay, then you didn't do--
Chloe: It's never gonna happen again. But still, people could get really, really hurt if you don't keep your mouth shut.
Nicole: Okay, you're kind of scaring me, and I don't scare easy.
Hope: Good. Who was the man that EJ remembered? Just tell me.
Nicole: He made it up. There's no mysterious man in my life.
Hope: Then why did you destroy the interview footage?
Nicole: Because when you spend some time in prison, your survival instincts kick into overdrive, okay? I shouldn't have done it. But believe me-- and you can ask that Hernandez broad-- EJ didn't say anything that incriminated me.
Hope: Right. Nothing except saying you did it.
Nicole: He has amnesia.
Hope: You see, that's what I think gives the story credibility.
Nicole: Yeah, you're right. Not being able to remember makes him a terrific witness.
Hope: Listen, this is EJ DiMera we're talking about here, okay? If he was out to set you up, you would now be set up. The fact is, he remembered. It was vague, but it was real.
Nicole: You want it to be.
Hope: I want to know who this man was, and I want to know why he was connected to you.
Man: So she's a whack job. You've seen that wedding movie, right? Whack jobs can be a lot of fun.
Baker: Unfortunately, she's not that kind of psycho.
Man: You look a little freaked.
Baker: I'm just ready to move on. See, I learned one thing in this life. If a woman has man issues, things just get worse. Never better, just worse. And this woman has issues.
Man: You think she has a problem with you.
Baker: That's why I'm leaving. I don't intend to stick around and find out the answer to that question.
Melanie: So where is Chloe?
Daniel: Uh, you know what, I don't know. I thought she was here. You know, why don't I just give her a call?
Carly: No, she'll be home soon. She knows this is your big homecoming.
Melanie: That's true. Women don't like to be checked up on. Besides, marriage is an institution of mutual trust. Right, Philip?
Philip: Hmm? Yeah. Yeah, right.
Carly: Well, that seemed a little forced. You hiding something?
Melanie: No, not Philip. Who wants a drink?
Carly: Me. That sounds good.
Daniel: Philip, care for something stronger?
Melanie: Oh, my God.
Philip: What is it?
Melanie: What happened?
Chloe: Nathan, I'm begging you.
Nathan: It's okay.
Chloe: You can think whatever you want of me, but you cannot tell Daniel.
Nathan: I said it's okay. All right? Quite honestly, it's none of my business. I'm not gonna tell Daniel.
Chloe: Thank you.
Nathan: But I think you should.
Chloe: No, I canít.
Nathan: Listen, he deserves to know if you're not happy.
Chloe: But I am happy.
Nathan: Chloe, sleeping with somebody else proves that that's a lie.
Chloe: Look, I thought I was unhappy because I thought that Daniel was back together with Carly.
Chloe: Yeah, some nurse told me that. I just went crazy.
Nathan: All right, look, like I said, it's none of my business. And quite honestly, I don't need any details about something that's none of my business.
Chloe: Look, I know it's not an excuse, but someone set me up, okay? Someone did something really terrible.
Chloe: Yes, and I'll never be able to forgive myself for that. But it was weak, not malicious. And whoever did that is gonna pay. But in the meantime, you have to promise me--you can't tell Daniel.
Nathan: I promise you I will not tell Daniel, but just trust me on this from experience-- secrets don't always remain secrets. All right? And if Daniel--it this was to come out--
Chloe: It canít. It can't!
Nathan: If this was to come out, Daniel would be very upset knowing that you lied about it.
Stephanie: What is it? What's wrong?
Nicole: How the hell am I supposed to answer that?
Hope: Make it up, like you usually do.
Nicole: You're asking my connection to a nameless man that EJ cannot describe. If I don't know who he is, how am I supposed to know my connection to him?
Hope: Do you know someone who's good with computers? Who could hack into bank accounts?
Nicole: Oh, yeah, you want me to help you and EJ pin this on me. You know what, no. If you're gonna charge me, then charge me. But oh, wait, you can't, because you don't have a shred of evidence against me.
Hope: I know where to find you when EJ remembers the rest.
Nicole: Damn it. I need help. And I know just who'll give it to me.
EJ: I think you can go now.
Stefano: Thank you. Ah...you-- you're not in a very good mood, huh?
EJ: Well, let's see, I've got you trying to blackmail me and Nicole trying to bash my head in.
EJ: Mm. Or somebody, you know, she has working for her.
Stefano: Nicole is not that stupid!
EJ: Well, you would know better than me, father. Anyway, if you'll excuse me, I have a really sore head.
Stefano: Well, the reason your head is sore is because you just spent time with Samantha.
EJ: Hey, Samantha is about the only person that I can talk to. She's about the only person that I can trust.
Stefano: So the blow to your head didn't knock any sense in you.
EJ: If you hate her so much, why do you want her to move in?
Stefano: You know the answer to that.
EJ: Oh, I know the answer. She does not know the answer. And I don't think it's in my best interest to tell her that you're gonna turn me into some kind of kidnapper if she doesnít.
Stefano: Uh-huh. She's still resisting?
EJ: Of course she's re-- can you blame her for resisting? She asks me why I would possibly want you and Kate to be any part of our family.
Stefano: And you said?
EJ: I gave her some malarkey about how you were dying. So if you see her, could you do me a favor and just look like you're dying, please?
Stefano: [Chuckles] You know, sarcasm is the weapon of the weak.
EJ: Well, I have to have everything that I can do to convince Samantha to move in. And even I think she'd be crazy if she did.
Sami: Grandma, I'm so glad you're back.
Caroline: Well, you know, Kimmy is much better, and I just didn't want to, you know, hover.
Sami: You? Never. How's Uncle Bo?
Caroline: Oh, he's recovering very nicely. He should be back soon.
Sami: Good. Good.
Sami: What do you mean?
Caroline: What's wrong?
Sami: Nothing. You know, Will's living with Kate and Stefano. Rafe is deciding to leave town. EJ and several other people were bashed on the head, and we don't know by whom. And I really don't like the spring colors this season.
Sami: My life is really complicated.
Caroline: Have you talked to your father about all this?
Sami: He's just so... reasonable.
Caroline: Ah, not like me.
Sami: And he has this annoying habit of reminding me that my problems are usually my fault.
Caroline: Whereas your grandmother knows that couldn't possibly be true.
Sami: It's just so upside down, Grandma. Rafe says he loves me, and yet we can't stop fighting. I mean, we're always fighting. And then there's EJ and...
Sami: And he's been great. You know, he was really there for me the whole time that Sydney was kidnapped. And now that she's back, you know, we've really been able to pull together.
Caroline: Well, I suppose that's good for Johnny and Sydney.
Sami: It's been good for me too. He makes me feel calm and makes me believe that everything's gonna work out.
Caroline: Are you saying--
Sami: Oh, nothing. It's just that... [Clears throat] He, um-- he asked me and the kids to move into the DiMera mansion with him.
Caroline: Sami... are you totally out of your mind?
Melanie: Um, did you forget a birthday or something?
Daniel: What? What do you mean?
Melanie: That doesn't look like it fell. It looked like somebody smashed it.
Philip: I think you're kind of jumping to conclusions there, aren't you, honey?
Daniel: No, no, no. Not necessarily. The truth is, Chloe and I got into a fight, and she was pretty angry. Guess I just didn't realize how much.
Carly: Well, like you said at the hospital, she wasn't angry with you anymore.
Daniel: Looks like she got to release the pressure.
Carly: She was pretty mad at herself for not being there for you when you had your surgery.
Daniel: No, I know. I purposely didn't tell her I was having surgery because I didn't want her to worry. Same reason I didn't let you know.
Melanie: Yeah, but it's okay 'cause you can see, and she's not mad anymore, so everything's fine, right? Philip, what's wrong?
Chloe: Um, I'm sorry, I'm just--I'm upset. I'm still worried about Danielís surgery, that's all.
Stephanie: Oh, yeah.
Chloe: Speaking of, I should get back to him. Nathan, thank you for listening and for understanding.
Stephanie: Wow, I'd hate to see her if the surgery didn't work out.
Nathan: Yeah, opera singers. Just drama queens. So any ideas of what you want to do tonight?
Stephanie: I know exactly what I want to do.
Caroline: I must be suffering from acute jet lag because I thought I heard you say you were thinking of moving into Stefanoís house.
Sami: Well, the kids would have the chance to be with their extended family.
Caroline: Sami, when they say, "it takes a village," they don't mean the village of the damned.
Sami: Grandma, come on. I mean, I know there are problems. But why can't you see that there are advantages too?
Caroline: Because there aren't any.
Sami: Will's there. I mean, wouldn't it be good for him to be with his mother and his siblings?
Caroline: Will shouldn't be there either. You ought to go over there and get that boy back home where he belongs.
Sami: Look, you can't overreact, okay? It's not forever. Will's not gonna live there forever. Neither am I and the kids. It's like EJ says. It's just temporary.
Caroline: Oh, well, if EJ says.
Sami: Grandma, EJ says that Stefanoís very ill, and he is worried because his dad doesn't have that much time left.
Caroline: Don't try to cheer me up.
Sami: EJ's been great. I mean, he's been supportive through this whole thing. And I don't think I'd even be sane if it weren't for him right now.
Caroline: That's worse than I thought. You're falling for him all over again.
Stefano: I'll get it, Harold. Well, well, well. You never did lack for nerve.
Nicole: I want your help.
Stefano: People in hell want ice water.
Nicole: And you're gonna give it to me.
Chloe: Who hates me? Who made that nurse lie to me?
Maxine: You're a little late, honey. Dr. Dan went home maybe an hour ago.
Chloe: Oh, I know. Actually, I came here to talk to Nurse Greg. Do you know what floor he's working on tonight?
Maxine: Yeah, no floor. He quit.
Maxine: Apparently he thought you give two seconds' notice, not two weeks'.
Chloe: Oh, okay, but do you know how I can get in touch with him? It's really important.
Maxine: I'm sorry. When he called, he just said he was leaving town. When I asked him where to send his last check, he just hung up. Must have won the lottery or something.
Philip: So it shows, huh?
Melanie: So something is wrong.
Philip: I swore this wasn't gonna happen. I swore this wasn't gonna happen. I'm worried about work. I'm worried about work.
Melanie: Well, I mean, you hired Nicole DiMera as a reporter, so I'm not sure what in the world you'd be, you know, worried about.
Philip: I'd like to go.
Melanie: Look, no, it's okay. It's okay. You can go back to work, and you can drop me off at the hospital, and I can do the paperwork that I was supposed to do yesterday.
Philip: Thank you. Thank you. Hey, I'm sorry to break up the party.
Daniel: Aw, you know what, no worries, man. It's just too bad you missed Chloe.
Melanie: It's okay. Another time. I'll see you guys at work tomorrow.
Daniel: All right.
Daniel: Take care.
Melanie: So you were lying just now, right?
Melanie: You were lying? You knew how uncomfortable Daniel felt about Chloe and the picture and everything, so you got us out of there? You're kind of amazing.
Philip: Yeah. Right.
Daniel: I'm gonna get rid of this.
Carly: Yeah, and I'm gonna get going.
Daniel: No. No, donít. I need to talk to you.
Man: [Chuckling] Wow. You, my friend, are on a real hot streak.
Baker: Yes. And now I must be going.
Man: Wow. I've never seen you walk out on a streak before. This is when you start making real money.
Baker: It's your money. All right, one more hand... before that nut case catches up with me again.
Hope: Aw, sweetheart, I love you too. I hope you have a wonderful time with Julie and Grandpa. Oh, no, no, no, no, honey. Of course, I'll call you first thing in the morning. No, Mommy is going right to bed. I'm exhausted. All right, sweetheart. Sweet dreams. I love you. Bye. What I really need is a good night's sleep.
Sami: Grandma, I didn't just have two kids with a guy I hate. Sometimes EJ can be wonderful. I mean, I've seen it. I've seen the proof of it. The way he is with his kids.
Caroline: I didn't think it was so wonderful that he presented you with custody papers at grace's funeral.
Sami: I know, I remember. You and Dad and Brady and Rafe, you all think I don't see that? You think I don't remember? I do. But what I see is a guy who's fighting the DiMera hold on him. And sometimes he's not winning. You know, like when I went and yelled at him for kicking Sydney and Nicole out of the mansion. But now...
Sami: But now I think he is. I think he's changed. I mean, he's forgiven Stefano, after everything he has done to him. And he cares that his dad is dying. And--and I think...
Caroline: Yeah? You think that you're the reason he's changed.
Sami: No. No, I think it's his kids. The whole ordeal with Sydney. I mean, Grandma, I think if we're there to support him, I think Stefano and Kate might not win. Maybe this time EJ will win. And maybe finally he'll become the man I know he can be.
Caroline: Well, I'm sure that Cain's wife said the same thing to herself. "He's changed." And I'm sure she thought she did it.
Sami: Grandma, we Bradys, we go to church a lot. And we kneel down, we say, "Please, forgive those who have trespassed against us." We pray for it, but we don't ever do it, do we?
Stefano: There was a time when I thought you were the mother of my grandchild. And because of that, I put up with attitude from you. But now that I know that you're a lying, kidnapping, powerless bitch, not so much.
Nicole: EJ is lying about me.
Stefano: Oh, we know how offended you are by lies.
Nicole: And you're gonna stop him.
Stefano: And why, Nicole, huh? Why in the name of God would I do that?
Chloe: But he still works there, right? He didn't quit? Yeah, I'm sorry I'm bothering you. It's just really important that I speak to him. The Cheatin' Heart, yeah, I know where that is. Yes. Thank you. The Cheatin' Heart. Let's hear it for irony.
Stephanie: If you have an emergency, just let me know. Otherwise I'll meet you at the pier in an hour. And, Nathan, try not to have an emergency. Okay, I will. Bye. So... what did Melanie do this time?
Maxine: Is this really you, coming in here on your night off to catch up on work?
Melanie: I know. You can't believe it, can you?
Maxine: Honey, the Saints won the Super Bowl. I can believe anything.
Melanie: Touchť. Oh, hey, I need to talk to you.
Nathan: I think that we said everything that needed to be said.
Melanie: Uh, no. There's something I have to tell you.
Daniel: No, I just gotta say I don't want you feeling uncomfortable here.
Carly: Daniel, it's okay. You know, it's a tricky situation. It's very emotional.
Daniel: Well, it was, but not anymore. Okay, look, obviously you were right. Chloe was a little more upset about things--
Carly: Things? Can we stop with the euphemisms? This is more than Chloe feeling like an outsider. She was upset with me, wasn't she?
Daniel: Yeah, okay, she was. All right, you were right, I was wrong. But, but, but, but when I told you about the fight, remember what you said? You said, "just work things out. Make it work."
Carly: I did, I said that. And it's gonna be a lot easier if it's just the two of you.
Daniel: Yeah, but that's what I'm saying. It does work. We worked it out. We talked at the hospital. All right, we worked it through, and I don't want you feeling like you can't just come around, you gotta keep your distance. That's crazy.
Carly: Why shouldn't I? Look, just focus on how Chloe feels, okay? I don't matter.
Daniel: No. Yes, you do matter. And Melanie is a part of my life, and that means you are too. Look, maybe it'd be better if you just heard it from Chloe directly, but it is important to us that we just move on. Put all this crazy tension behind us.
[Jukebox music playing]
Chloe: Hey. I need to talk to you.
Clerk: Sorry, I don't talk to strangers.
Chloe: Oh, really? Well, you talked to me-- well, actually, you lied to me before at the motel. You said my fiancť was there with another woman.
Clerk: I did?
Chloe: Yeah, you did. You lied on purpose, and you're gonna tell me why.
Clerk: I don't gotta talk to you!
Chloe: Look, what you did really, really messed up my life.
Clerk: Hey, lady, look, your life is your business, all right?
Chloe: Hey, don't go anywhere without giving me some answers.
Clerk: Hey, leave me alone, will you, please?
Chloe: Hey, does the name "Kiriakis" mean anything to you? Because you messed with them. You may not have meant to, but you messed with the richest, meanest man in this town. And I have his number on speed dial, so I can just call him right now, and we--
Clerk: No! No! It's okay.
Chloe: Oh, well, if you don't want me to call him, you'd better start talking right now.
All right, I'll tell you exactly what went down that night.
Melanie: I just wanted to tell you that I told Philip everything that happened with us the other night.
Nathan: Like the kiss? Uh, how did he take it?
Melanie: Great. I was surprised how great he took it.
Nathan: Wow. Well, that's great. I mean, 'cause Steph seems to be doing fine too. Which must mean--
Melanie: Everything worked out.
Nathan: Yeah, everything worked out. Well, we all live happily ever after.
Philip: You think everything is Melanieís fault. That no one does anything to her.
Stephanie: You just don't look so good.
Philip: I'll be fine.
Stephanie: Making your way through an entire bottle by yourself doesn't scream "fine." Look, if Melanie--
Philip: Hey, look, Melanie didn't do anything, okay? I did. I'm the bastard.
Nicole: Why are you gonna help me? Because it's the right thing to do.
Stefano: Ha ha. Ha, ha--oh, boy.
Nicole: Or maybe because your precious EJ is wrong. I didn't have anything to do with his mugging.
Stefano: And I have your word on that?
Nicole: Look, EJ's just going to embarrass himself if he tries to pin this on me, okay? I'll start running stories about his head injury and his paranoia and, I don't know, the list goes on.
Stefano: Running stories?
Nicole: Yes, I'm a television journalist now. I can fight back.
Stefano: Against us?
Nicole: New angle. I'll cover your recent hospitalizations. The diabetes, Tonyís death... and I'll talk about how there's a leadership vacuum at the top of the DiMera family.
Stefano: You threatening us?
Nicole: Do you really want the DiMera family to be perceived as vulnerable?
Stefano: Get the hell out of here! You know, you better pray that I don't tell Elvis what you tried to pull just now. You walk and talk at our discretion, so you had better be very, very careful how you deal with us. Hmm? Okay? Now... get the hell out of my house!
Carly: Okay, I'll be right down. I've gotta go.
Daniel: All right, well, I'll see you later then. I'm gonna get started on that case.
Carly: Yeah, you sure you don't want to take another day and recuperate?
Daniel: No, I donít. I cannot wait to get back to work.
Carly: Daniel, maybe you should check with Chloe and just see how she feels about you going right back.
Daniel: Carly, we already talked about this. It's all good. All right, Chloe and I are on exactly the same page, and from here on out, it's gonna be smooth sailing.
Clerk: So as I was saying, a lot of couples checked in that evening.
Chloe: And one of the couples was Dr. Daniel Jonas and Dr. Carly Manning?
Clerk: Oh, I don't know. I mean, nobody was wearing a white coat.
Chloe: You said that they were there, but they werenít. I don't understand.
Clerk: Somebody's yanking your chain, lady.
Nicole: Okay, so they're closing ranks. But I didn't get out of prison so EJ could bring me down with lies. That just ain't gonna happen.
Sami: [Laughing] Did you drive down here to see your daddy? You came down all on your own? You're such a big girl. How did she get here?
EJ: Lexie brought her down.
Sami: Oh. Okay. Well, I'm glad she's here 'cause there's something I want to tell you that I think you both need to hear. I'll do it. We'll move in.
EJ: Thank you. Samantha, I promise you you will not regret this.
Baker: Looks like my luck has finally changed.
Man: Don't rub it in, okay? And don't bother locking up. You're taking everything of value with you.
