Carly: Well, you know, the one thing about fleeing a crime…
Bo: You nervous?
Carly: You wouldn't want to move into Maggie's with me, would you?
Bo: You're worried that Vivian's gonna come after your daughter.
Carly: No, I mean, with Lawrence dead, you and I are the only ones who know about it. I just--I-I was hoping that you would want to run some interference for me.
Bo: Interference? Maggie's got a flag-football team?
Carly: [Laughs] I need domestic conversational interference. I need someone to stop me from making a complete fool out of myself when I talk to my daughter.
Bo: Can't help you there. All kids think their parents are idiots.
Carly: I can't even tell her I'm her mother. And I can't cry, and I have to act like it's no big deal... when it's the most important thing I've ever done.
EJ: Oh, come on! After everything she's done, do you really think Nicole is just gonna pick up the telephone and call us from Cleveland, really?
Rafe: Well, if there's a possibility, I think that we should--
EJ: There is no possibility!
Brady: She called twice already!
EJ: She called twice, and it came to nothing. Guys, we're wasting our time!
[Cell phone ringing] Okay?
Sami: Oh, my God, it's-- it's area code 216.
Sami: Nicole? Nicole, is that you? Nicole, answer me!
Sami: [Through receiver] Nicole, I can hear Sydney crying. Nicole, why aren't you answering me? Just talk to me! Nicole!
[Sydney crying on phone]
Bo: You're not leaving.
Carly: You noticed.
Bo: Could this be a sign that you're feeling a little insecure about this? You should think about it for a little bit longer? You don't have to take off right now.
Carly: No, I-I do. I'm going, I just... wanted to say something.
Bo: Sounds ominous.
Carly: All my life--most of my life, I thought, you know, I was a pretty tough cookie.
Bo: No, really?
Carly: [Chuckles] And then... the last few years with Lawrence and everything that he became just really, really scared me... like I'd never been scared in my whole life. And I just ended up feeling so weak and then worthless.
Bo: You were beaten down.
Carly: This isn't about him. It's about you. Ever since I showed up on your doorstep, you were like a rock for me. And I stopped being so scared, Bo.
Bo: Wait a minute, um... you eluded... some assassins. You survived a plane crash. You rescued an amnesiac. You survived a conversation with Vivian. Any one of those things would put you right at the top of the list of bravery.
Carly: All right, you don't like the compliment thing. I'll just move it along quickly. The point is, is that you took care of me, and you didn't make me feel weak, and you protected me. And in the end, I feel stronger. So thank you. You're quite a guy. You're quite a guy.
Bo: [Southern accent] Yeah, aw, shucks, ma'am.
Bo: [Sighs] One thing, um, life ain't boring when you're around.
Philip: Hey, Bo, I was wondering if you wanted to grab a beer. I guess not.
Melanie: [Groans] Sometimes I think I'm--I'm just not really that mature.
Melanie: Well... [Chuckles] I mean, if you look at the number of boyfriends I've had, it's a pretty small number. But then you look at the number of breakups I've had, and that is surprisingly large.
Arianna: Well, that could be a good thing. I mean, maybe that means you can get back together with Nathan, since your breakups aren't very permanent.
Melanie: No, they're permanent. It usually just takes three or four times for them to really stick, you know?
Mia: Hey, sorry, um, I forgot what kind of muffin you ordered.
Melanie: Oh, well, that's probably 'cause I asked, like, an hour and a half ago.
Mia: Yeah, and what kind of muffin you want is the biggest thing on my mind right now.
Melanie: Well, I'm really proud of that. Nothing like kicking someone when they're down.
Sami: I hear Sydney. Wait, she stopped! Sydney stopped crying. Nicole, Nicole, tell me what's happening!
EJ: Samantha, give me the-- you little bitch! No, no, no! You know what? It's not gonna work, all right? We are coming for you. You get it? We are coming for you, okay? This is not gonna work. You're gonna pay for this, you understand me?
Bo: Philip, this is Carly Manning. Carly, my brother Philip.
Carly: Oh, it's nice to finally meet you.
Philip: Why do I feel like I already know you? It slips my mind. Were you gonna marry my brother before or after you married my father?
Bo: Philip has led such an exemplary life, he feels comfortable being rude to complete strangers.
Philip: Obviously, this isn't a good time. I'll catch you later.
Carly: Oh, no, no, no. Don't leave. I'm--I was just going.
Bo: Well, don't go on my account.
Carly: I wouldn't. Wish me luck.
Bo: You're gonna do great.
Carly: [Laughing] Oh, right. Right. Philip, best to your father. You remind me of him.
Bo: [Scoffs] You are an awful lot like Victor... your mother too.
Philip: Lay off, will you?
Bo: Oh, like you laid off Carly?
Philip: What, you expected me to be charmed by the woman? Should I have given her a big "Welcome back to Salem" hug?
Bo: You could have been polite.
Philip: I asked her a question, that's all.
Bo: Yeah, you were snide as hell. You wanted to upset her, and you did.
Philip: She's that thin-skinned?
Bo: All you had to do is say, "Nice to meet you, Carly. How you doing?" One of these days, you'll learn some manners.
Philip: Fine. Next time she's here, I'll... I'll kiss up to her, okay? Kiss up to her like hell. Is that gonna make you happy?
Bo: What do you want? Why are you here?
Philip: Well, I was gonna see if you wanted to go grab a beer. My life is complicated, and I needed somebody to talk to. But I don't know about getting advice from someone who's separated from his wife and spending time with another woman who's--
Bo: Carly is a good old friend who's been through a rough time-- you know... [Chuckles] You are like Victor-- snap judgments, and most of the time you're wrong.
Philip: You think spending time with Carly is gonna help things with hope? Hope and Ciara should not be living at my house, Bo. They should be living here with you. Wait a second.
Philip: Carly being here?
Bo: She's a friend.
Philip: No, no, that's not what I'm talking about. Out of the past, out of the blue, Carly shows up. And what a coincidence. Guess who dropped by to say hi this afternoon? Vivian. What the hell is going on?
Melanie: You know, you'd think for as many times as I've had to apologize, I would be better at it.
Arianna: Well... I just don't think it's easy waiting on tables when you want to be alone.
Melanie: Do you want to be alone? I can go.
Arianna: No, honey, I--that-- no, I'm sorry. That's--that's not what I meant, no.
Melanie: And I should-- I just--I know you're worried about Sydney and the kidnapping, and here I am talking about my stupid love life.
Arianna: You know what? Actually, it is very nice to think about something else. And your love life--it's not stupid. More like...
Arianna: Complex. Yes, maybe just a little bit more than it needs to be.
Arianna: Meaning, well, okay. Um... you like Philip, right? Like, ever since you met him.
Melanie: I-I mean, kind of.
Arianna: Hmm, right, 'cause I was actually there when you thought it was all over and...
Melanie: Okay, yeah. Yeah, I have it bad for Philip. Whatever, it's a weakness. I'm gonna get over it by being a strong and--and independent student nurse.
Arianna: Honey, I don't think that's an indication of strength.
Melanie: Sure it is.
Arianna: Look, you have it bad for Philip, right? Now he admits that he wants to be with you. You say no way. Why? What are you so afraid of?
Sami: Give me back the phone! You think screaming at her is gonna keep her on the line? Have you lost your mind?
EJ: Whoa, whoa, just calm down for a second. If that was Nicole, if that was her, the only reason she's calling is to taunt you. Understand?
Rafe: The FBI traced the call. Came from a pay phone at a bus station in Cleveland.
Sami: Oh, my God, a bus station? Where's she gonna go now?
Rafe: No, no, no. The cops are on their way. They're gonna stop any bus that leaves there.
Sami: Oh, God.
Sami: She wasn't calling to taunt me, EJ. There's a reason that she wasn't talking. Why wasn't she talking to me?
Man: Miss? Miss, are you...?
Bo: Vivian dropped in?
Philip: That's right.
Bo: You were at home. Uh, she went to Victor's.
Bo: That woman does not lack nerve. Victor must have been thrilled to see her.
Philip: Actually, Vivian and my father are quite friendly.
Bo: Friendly? You're kidding.
Philip: He likes how my mother goes crazy with Vivian around. Once again, I'm caught in the middle of Mommy wars.
Bo: Do you think it's in our genes that we, uh, screw up relationships?
Philip: Hey, at least you have your mother--a good, decent woman with solid values. I have complete wacks on both sides of my family. That's where you're supposed to say, "Philip, no, don't say that. Sure, your folks are eccentric, but they're basically kind people with good hearts."
Bo: Yeah, well, one of those folks is my dad.
Philip: Oh, come on, man. You were raised by Shawn Brady. You don't consider Victor your dad.
Bo: You're right, I don't. Shawn was my pop. But I do have to deal with the fact that, uh, I have Kiriakis blood running through my veins.
Philip: Frightening, huh?
Bo: Sometimes, yeah.
Philip: [Scoffs] You really lifted my spirits here, Bo.
Bo: Just being honest.
Philip: I don't need honest right now, not now, not tonight. I need somebody to tell me that the sun will come out tomorrow, and... everything's coming up roses.
[Cell phone ringing]
Philip: I'd also like to hear that the darkest hour is just before dawn.
Bo: Sorry, I got to take this. Brady.
Philip: Uh, I'll get that.
Bo: Yeah, yeah, hold on.
Melanie: I am not scared.
Melanie: I'm--look, I'm not. I just don't think that having it bad for somebody is--is a healthy basis for a meaningful, mature relationship.
Arianna: Okay, well... I think that you have a better chance of making things work with a guy that turns you on than with a guy that looks good on paper but doesn't really float your boat.
Arianna: What? I mean, come on. I mean, think about it. Why do all those staid, important men with absolutely proper wives explode in middle age and hit the Appalachian trail?
Melanie: [Snickers] Ahh! Um... but Nathan is a wonderful guy, and Philip is not.
Arianna: You know what? You're not picking a supreme court nominee here, okay? Philip is what? He's wealthy, he's handsome, and, more importantly, he gets to you on a different level than Nathan. Why does that bother you?
Carly: Hi. I didn't know you worked here.
Mia: Oh... um, hi. Yeah, I do. So what can I get you?
Carly: Large black coffee?
Mia: Right away.
Carly: So, uh, it's kind of a coincidence running into you here. I'm--I'm on way to Maggie's. I'm moving in today.
Carly: So how many hours a week do you work here?
Mia: Um... it depends.
Carly: It's got to be tough, working and going to school.
Mia: It's fine.
Carly: Still, you should be proud of yourself. I mean, to be so young and on your own.
Mia: Look, um... the boss doesn't exactly like us talking to customers.
Carly: Right, sorry.
Mia: And, uh... when you move in, I'd...
Mia: I'd like it if you just left me alone.
Sami: This is good news, right? It's good news.
Rafe: This is great news, Sami.
Brady: I'm gonna get the Titan jet, all right?
EJ: No need, Brady, I will take care of everything. Though you can leave now, if you wish to.
Rafe: Actually, he's not going anywhere. How many times do I have to remind you, EJ, he's the one person Nicole actually talks to.
Brady: Without getting screamed at, actually.
Sami: Okay, stop it, both of you! Okay? We need your help.
Brady: All right. Listen, this is good news. This is great news, okay? We're gonna get Sydney back.
Sami: Thank you.
EJ: Okay, everything's taken care of. Come on, let's go.
Sami: Come on.
Rafe: Whatever you say, EJ.
Officer: She's the one that took that baby. She was gonna leave the country.
Second officer: Now she's headed straight to nowhere.
Philip: Can I help you?
Nathan: Nope, just here to see Hope.
Philip: [Scoffs] She's not here.
Nathan: Any idea when she'll be back?
Bo: Hold on a second. Hey, Nathan, what's up?
Nathan: Hey, I just came by to see Hope, talk about some foundation business is all.
Bo: Uh, did she say she was gonna meet you here?
Nathan: No, uh, I just came by after--after work, just walking home.
Bo: N-no, no, no, hold on. Don't do anything till we have her in custody. You know what? Don't do anything till I get there. Wait for me, all right? I'm sorry. I got to head down to the station. Look, man, if you still want to have that beer, I'll meet you at the pub later.
Philip: Great, great. Just call me when you're on your way, I guess.
Bo: Yeah, and, uh, would you fill Nathan in for me, please?
Philip: I guess... what Bo meant was that he wants me to fill you in on what's going on with him and Hope, why she's not living here.
Nathan: She's not living here?
Philip: Ah, they're going through a rough patch, trying to work through some stuff.
Nathan: She didn't say anything to me about that.
Philip: Hey, Nathan... look, about Melanie, I'm sorry.
Nathan: You're not sorry, man. Don't you dare patronize me.
Melanie: I don't think you understand.
Arianna: You know what? I'm not gonna say anything against Nathan. Really, this isn't against him, okay? But I think you thought that you should like him. I think that you thought that you wished you were crazy about him, because he's nice and because he's, what, smart, and he's reliable, and he's from a good family.
Melanie: I was. I-I am! Look, Nathan--he's-- he's not just some stick in the mud. I mean... you know, we got arrested together.
Arianna: Well, I don't think he is a stick in the mud, okay? Hey, look, you told me Philip-- he's, what, unreliable. He's self-absorbed. He's arrogant.
Melanie: That's my point!
Melanie: He's all of those things, and he's--
Arianna: Exactly, he's what you want.
Melanie: No. And if he is, then I'm wrong.
Arianna: But this isn't about what's right or wrong. This is about what is and what isn't.
Melanie: [Sighs] Ari... what makes you an expert on this subject?
Arianna: Nothing... nothing at all.
Mia: Um... sorry.
Carly: It's okay, really.
Mia: No, I-I don't--I don't talk to people like that. You know, I just don't.
Carly: Look, I-I'm sure you're under a lot of pressure. It's just--maybe I can help.
Mia: Um... see, when--when I talked to you about all that stuff, well, now I kind of wish I hadn't. You know, it-it's weird for me... talking to somebody I don't know who knows so much about me.
Carly: I-I know. I can see that. I just thought that maybe if you--
Mia: Look, I already told you--I'm not supposed to talk at work. Just...
Carly: I'm--I'm sorry. I'll--I'll leave you alone. [Gasps]
Melanie: Oh, burning! What the hell is wrong with you? Aah. Um...
Melanie: You--ow! Ow!
Rafe: [Sighs] Well, I thought I was gonna actually get my first look at a corporate jet.
Sami: Yeah, well, I guess EJ said this would be faster.
Rafe: Yeah, well, I still think we would have made better time by driving. But EJ always knows best.
Sami: Okay, ease off the testosterone. You don't have to keep one-upping him. You're right. You're always right.
Rafe: All right. Sorry. I said I'm sorry.
Sami: It's okay. Anyway, EJ's wrong about something else. Nicole did not call me to taunt me. She didn't take Sydney to spite me.
Rafe: Ah, you're right.
Sami: Why did she call me and then not say anything? Why wouldn't she talk to me?
Rafe: Well, Sydney was crying. Maybe she had to take care of her.
Sami: No, I could tell by the way Sydney was crying that there was something really wrong.
Rafe: Sami... you don't know that. Hey, just hang in there, okay? I promise you, it is not gonna be long before you have Sydney back in your arms.
Officer: Nicole DiMera. That's her real name, right?
Doctor: That's what it said on the TV. There's an Amber alert out for her and her kid.
Officer: When's she gonna be able to answer questions?
Doctor: Ah, the question isn't when, but if.
Melanie: Uh, leave me alone.
Carly: Just let me look at your arm.
Carly: I'm a doctor.
Melanie: What, so you go around drumming up business? Get away.
Carly: Come on, if it blisters, just put it under cold water.
Melanie: I know what to do. I'm a nurse.
Arianna: Hey, what happened? [Inhales sharply] Youch!
Melanie: Yeah, I know.
Arianna: Are you okay?
Melanie: No, I'm not okay.
Philip: Look, I just don't want there to be any hard feelings.
Nathan: Why should there be? I mean, you got what you wanted, right? That's all that matters.
Philip: Okay. Okay, you can think what you want about what I did or did not do.
Nathan: Can I? Thanks for the permission.
Philip: The fact is, you and Melanie, that wasn't gonna work. You guys are just a little different, you know?
Nathan: [Chuckling] Well, that would really be an astute observation, Philip, except you don't even know me.
Philip: I know enough.
Nathan: What's that supposed to mean?
Philip: Settle down, okay? I'm not trying to insult you.
Nathan: This conversation's over.
Philip: [Chuckles] All I'm saying is that if you and Melanie stayed together--
Nathan: What? If we stayed together, what, huh? You'd continue to try and break us up? You'd just keep harassing her and try and convince her that she has no feelings for me?
Nathan: No? Oh, really? Are--are you sure? Because you've been jealously doing that from the moment that you found out we were together. Every time I turn around, there you are. You're talking to Melanie. You're trying to kiss her. You're brainwashing to her to think that I'm all wrong for her and...
Philip: Whoa, man, you are really paranoid.
Nathan: Maybe it wasn't going to work between us, all right? As you put it. But at least I was on her side. I wasn't out to use her and walk all over her like a certain someone that I know that did it again and again and--
Philip: Well, Nathan... it's not quite that simple.
Nathan: It kind of is. You know what else is simple too? Melanie deserves a whole lot better than you, and I'm gonna make sure you leave her the hell alone.
Melanie: Well, I'm not really sure what I did to deserve this, but... you don't really want clumsy doctors walking around the hospital, because they have to carry things like scalpels.
Arianna: Honey... it was just an accident.
Melanie: I know. I know. I'm just in a bad mood. And I'm yelling about Philip, and I'm taking things out on Mia, and you're worried about the baby.
Arianna: It's all good, all right? But... I'm worried about Rafe. He's done everything that he could, and now--now he's just waiting, and he hates that.
Melanie: I'm sorry. I don't...
Gabi: Any news?
Arianna: Um... no, actually, no news. This is my sister, Gabi. This is my good friend Melanie.
Melanie: Ohh, she's the one you're always fighting with. Gah! Melanie, bad! I'm sorry, I got to go. It was nice to meet you, Gabi.
Gabi: So... were the two of you having a nice little chat about how unreasonable I am?
Arianna: Can we have a truce, please?
Gabi: I'm not going to bother you. I just wanted to know about the baby.
Arianna: Well, honey, I don't know anything right now, and I don't want to call Rafe, 'cause I don't want to bother him, so...
Gabi: Then why don't you call Brady?
EJ: [Sighs] Oh, for goodness sake. No wonder the commercial airline industry's in the toilet, when we can't get a bloody plane off the ground on time. Excuse me. Thank you. Yes, I'm sorry, it's imperative this plane leave on time. Thank you.
Brady: Uh, sir, good afternoon. Could you please move your briefcase? It's the last seat on the plane, and I need to sit.
EJ: Wonderful, so you're the reason that we're late. That's great.
Brady: Yeah, I'm also the reason for the recession and World War II--all kinds of good stuff.
EJ: Just sit down. Do me a favor--keep out of my way for the rest of the flight, hmm?
Brady: That's my plan.
Rafe: Maybe they'll eventually stop fighting.
Sami: I doubt it. I'm glad Brady's here. He's the only one who can get through to Nicole.
Rafe: Sami, Nicole is not getting away this time. She's not. This is the homestretch. It's almost over.
Sami: Rafe, I think something's wrong. I just don't get it. Why wouldn't Nicole talk to me?
Bo: Will you listen to what I'm telling you? No press conference till we find out how this plays out. [Sighs] I'm looking for a baby, not publicity.
Mia: Excuse me.
Bo: Oh, hey.
Mia: Hey, sorry to bother you.
Bo: No, no, not a problem. What's up?
Mia: Um, I was just wondering if you've heard anything about finding Sami's baby Sydney.
Bo: Yeah, yeah, I did hear something, and it looks like it's gonna be good news.
Mia: Thank God.
Mia: The baby...I-I thought--
Bo: Hey, I know what you thought, uh... why don't we sit down? It's got to be tough on you.
Mia: Shouldn't be. She's not my baby.
Bo: Well, you thought she was for a while. Those feelings, they don't just go away. That's what moms are like.
Mia: Not my mom.
Carly: [Sighs] Okay. The last encounter didn't go so well. I just have to give it another shot. [Sighs]
Arianna: I'm not gonna call Brady. That's over. And you know what? I don't want to look clingy.
Gabi: You sure look unhappy.
Arianna: Oh, well, that's a surprise, with everything that's going so well in my life.
Gabi: But you know how to make all your troubles go up in smoke, don't you?
Arianna: Oh, can we please, please not do this?
Gabi: Won't work. See, I decided I can't stop you from doing drugs.
Arianna: I'm not.
Gabi: Right, and that stash in your room, you're just holding that for a friend, right? And the check's in the mail. And you don't need any help, right?
Arianna: Can you please just keep your voice down?
Gabi: Could... but I won't. See, I don't understand why you get a free pass, why we're supposed to tiptoe around the fact that you're using and dealing.
Arianna: I'm not.
Gabi: If Mom has to go through you landing back--
Arianna: Okay, you know what? Just--just be quiet, please.
Gabi: It won't be because I watched you and kept my mouth shut.
Arianna: You don't understand what's going on.
Gabi: I know--
Arianna: You know what? Let's go, outside right now. We got to talk.
Gabi: I'm not afraid of you. Ow! Where did you learn to do that?
Gabi: There's some things you pick up in prison, like how to get someone to stop talking.
Gabi: I'm not afraid of you.
Arianna: Well, you know what? I am scared to death of you, scared that you're gonna send me right back to prison... or worse.
Gabi: What are you talking about?
Arianna: [Sighs] I am working undercover for the cops, okay? So can you kindly keep your mouth shut... from now on?
Brady: Are you really gonna do work right now?
EJ: I'm gonna do a crossword puzzle, actually.
EJ: It's all right, Brady. It's what I expect from you-- passing judgment without knowing the facts.
Brady: DiMera, let's get something straight. Take everything you want out on me--that's fine. Don't do it to Nicole when we get there, okay? She's more fragile than you know.
EJ: You're gonna tell me about my wife, are you? Well, thank goodness I have you for advice.
Brady: I'm just saying it's not going to accomplish anything. It could end up making things worse.
EJ: Quite. Well, making it worse is your speciality, isn't it?
Sami: Oh, my God, I have the worst headache of my life. But I'm feeling better than Nicole will when I'm through with her.
Nicole: [Gasping] Sydney? Sydney? [Grunts in pain]
Gabi: You're lying.
Arianna: I love you so much.
Gabi: But that--
Arianna: That makes, what, perfect sense? How I got out of jail early? Why there were drugs in my room? Why I want you to go home?
Gabi: You have to tell Brady. When he knows what you're doing, you can get back together.
Arianna: Honey, he knows what I'm doing. That's not why we broke up.
Gabi: You did something even worse?
Arianna: Glad you're in my corner.
Gabi: Or is it because he's so in love with that other woman?
Arianna: You know, telling you what was going on was not an invitation to evaluate my life. So for the last time, I would like you to go home.
Philip: Okay. How about a reality check? You dumped Melanie. That means that you can't really say who she sees or doesn't see.
Nathan: Oh, no, yeah. She can see whoever she wants. I'm telling you that you can't see her.
Philip: Not your call.
Nathan: Philip, if you even remotely care about her a fraction of what you claim to, you'll give her the time and the space that she needs to sort things out, 'cause a real man wouldn't force her into something she's not ready for.
Philip: Do you have any idea how condescending you are?
Nathan: I'm sorry. Did I hurt your feelings?
Philip: No, to Melanie. You have no idea how smart and tough she is. You had a chance at a rock star, bro. And you treated her like another little sorority sister.
Nathan: No, no, I treated her with respect, which is something that I don't even think you know the definition to.
Philip: I treated her like a human being. I wanted to be her boyfriend, not her mentor.
Nathan: You know what? This is disintegrating, so...
Philip: Meaning... you're losing?
Nathan: I'm gonna tell you one more time, and this is the last time I'm gonna tell you. If you hurt her one more time... we're not gonna talk about this next time.
Philip: I'm quaking here. [Sighs] What a doofus.
Melanie: [Humming] Ow.
Melanie: Don't hurt me!
Carly: You scared me!
Melanie: What are you doing here?
Carly: I'm Carly manning. I just moved in.
Bo: You know what? Um, why don't you give me your cell-phone number, and I'll call you as soon as we get Sydney back.
Mia: Okay, yeah. I'd really appreciate that.
Bo: Well, I don't want you to worry any longer than you have to.
Mia: Will always said you were really nice. Of course, his whole family is really nice.
Bo: You obviously have not met his grandma Kate.
Mia: Or nice and sweet. I've always wondered what it's like to have a family like that. Anyway, um, thank you. And it was good seeing you again.
Bo: You too, and, uh, don't worry about Sydney. I got a feeling everything's gonna be okay.
Sami: Oh, hey, excuse me.
Rafe: We were told Nicole DiMera was brought here from the bus station.
Nurse: That's right. She's in there. Uh, no, no, no! She's unconscious. She can't have visitors.
EJ: Well, listen, what happened to the baby?
Nurse: The baby?
Sami: Yes, my daughter. She was with her.
Nurse: I'm sorry, there wasn't any baby with her when she was brought in.
Sami: What? Oh, God.
Philip: You ever realize there's a smug, judgmental streak in the Horton family?
Bo: No. Uh, Hope has always been warm and forgiving.
Bo: You talking about Nathan?
Philip: Yeah. Guy dumps Melanie, then proceeds to tell me I'm not good enough for her.
Bo: Melanie Layton?
Philip: What a jerk.
Bo: Okay... I thought with all that, uh, sex on the internet and the motel stuff that it was over between the two of you.
Philip: What if we're not?
Bo: A lot of baggage with that one.
Philip: [Chuckles] You're not mad at her about that. She doesn't treat you with enough respect. That's what you're mad about.
Bo: Yeah, yeah, that bugs the hell out of me.
Philip: Huh. Look, I'm sorry. I don't need your advice.
Bo: [Scoffs] You're the one that asked me down here for a beer. What--okay, look. You have screwed things up with, uh, pretty amazing women in the past.
Philip: Oh, that's great of you to care, Bo. But Nathan dumped her. And now I have a shot. I'm not gonna blow it this time. [Chuckles]
Melanie: I'm sorry. You're living here now?
Carly: I guess Maggie didn't tell you.
Melanie: I guess Maggie's gonna have to up her homeowner's insurance.
Mia: Oh, you're here.
Melanie: Mia, look, we have a new roommate. Watch out, though. She's kind of dangerous.
Mia: Yeah, then, uh, I'm just gonna go upstairs.
Carly: Mia, wait. Maggie said that this wouldn't be a problem, but if you and, um...
Melanie: How about burn victim Melanie?
Carly: If you'd like me to go, I'll go.
Melanie: You know what? Um, I think that would be a good idea. I think you should go.
Sami: Look, maybe we should speak to the ambulance driver. Maybe he took the baby to pediatrics. What floor is that on?
Rafe: Can we call over there?
Nurse: I will, but it would be on her admission form if there was a child.
Sami: Maybe it's not.
Brady: Everyone, everyone, this is, uh, Dr. Millitan. He's been taking care of Nicole, and she had a head injury, and she was unconscious when they brought her in.
EJ: Well, is she awake?
Dr. Millitan: I don't think she could answer any questions. Besides, only family is allowed.
EJ: That's great. I'm her husband. If you'll excuse me.
Sami: Oh, EJ...
Officer: We have a couple who say they saw the victim. We brought them in for questioning.
Rafe: I'll go with you. Be right back.
Sami: Uh... [Sighs]
Arianna: Hey... I kind of need to talk to you.
Brady: Sorry, look, I can't. I'm--I'm in Cleveland. Nicole's here. We found her.
EJ: Nicole! Oy. Wake up. It's over.
Nicole: Where's Sydney?
EJ: What do you mean, "Where's Sydney"? You're supposed to be telling me where Sydney is. Nicole?
EJ: Nicole... where is my daughter?
Rafe: Sami. Sami, this is Mr. And Mrs. Robinson. They saw Nicole with Sydney at the bus station.
Sami: You saw her? You--you saw Sydney?
Mrs. Robinson: Her baby was in a stroller. And she was staring at us and our baby.
Mr. Robinson: Like she was thinking real hard about something.
Mrs. Robinson: And then she was gone, like she changed her mind.
Sami: But she took Sydney with her, right? I mean, she had the baby.
Mr. Robinson: We didn't know who she was.
Sami: Oh, my God.
Rafe: Well, so the way that it times out, that must have been when Nicole decided to call you. She went to use the pay phone. That's when the red cap found her.
Sami: Nicole called me. I heard Sydney. I heard her crying in the background. So Nicole had her with her, and now she's--now she's gone.
Rafe: Take it easy, okay?
Sami: You know what I think? I think Nicole was hurt trying to protect Sydney.
Rafe: We don't know that.
Sami: Someone has my baby. Who has her? Where is she?
Arianna: Hey, kind of need to talk to you. I need to tell you something.
Stefano: And what do you think is going to happen when they get their little girl back, huh?
EJ: I am gonna kill you! You understand?
