EJ: [Clears throat] Uh, under the circumstances, I think the best thing is for Sydney to be with her... to be with Nicole.

Nicole: I have to make a choice. Tell EJ that Sydney is his baby and Sami's or just let him keep thinking that I adopted her. [Exhales sharply] But this is about Sydney, isn't it? I have to do what's right for my little girl.

Sydney: [Crying]

Sami: What? Why are you looking at me like that?

Nathan: [Laughs] Am I really that serious? What are you, her dad, Philip?

Philip: Just don't want her getting hurt. That's all.

Nathan: Oh, yeah. You'd know a lot about that, wouldn't you, huh? After you threw her under the bus just because Stephanie took you back.

Philip: Okay, I'm gonna go.

Nathan: About time. Oh, and, Philip, it's too bad that Stephanie saw your little tape, 'cause if not, you'd still be with her, instead of here pathetically chasing after Melanie. As a substitute, she deserves much better than that.

Philip: And that would be you?

Melanie: What do you think is going on with EJ and Nicole?

Brady: Look, forget about it. Forget about it. Just--did anybody say anything at the hospital about Nicole, like, where she was?

Melanie: No.

Brady: [Sighs] She's probably at the house, maybe.

Melanie: Oh, no. Did EJ find out you're still in love with his wife? Is that why you're worried?

Brady: Uh... look, there's a lot of things that... I can't go into right now. But bottom line, I may think EJ's an ass, okay? But Nicole loves him... and they have a baby together, and she loves her life. So I'm gonna do whatever I can to make sure it stays that way.

Nicole: I-I-I'm not staring at you in any way, Sami. It--it's just that there's a lot going on with Stefano. And, EJ, I really think your daughter wants her daddy.

EJ: Just take the baby and leave with it.

Nicole: But--

EJ: Go. Uh, would you give Nicole Sydney, please?

Sami: Nicole, I think she's super tired. I tried to put her down, but I don't know what your sleep schedule is and everything. And I couldn't figure it out. And I gave her your sweater. That was the only thing that, you know, seemed to soothe her, and...

Nicole: I think she really needs her daddy.

Sydney: [Babbling]

Sami: EJ. Why don't you tell me what's going on? Okay, so now you can tell me what's going on with you and Nicole.

EJ: I'm sorry. I'm--Samantha, I can't do this, all right? My father's out there. He could die.

Sami: But it won't make a difference if you take a brief break from your bedside vigil. You heard your sister. Lexie told you to go home.

EJ: Well, I can't go home.

Sami: Because of Nicole?

EJ: Samantha, I really don't want to discuss my... I really don't want to discuss Nicole with you.

Sami: You're doing it again.

EJ: What am I doing again?

Sami: Changing your words. Don't tell me nothing's wrong. I know you better than that.

EJ: That's right. You do. You know me better than anybody. You know more than anybody else how I hate to be lied to... how I can't tolerate betrayal of any kind.

Sami: What did Nicole do?

EJ: She lied to me... about the same thing you did. And now I've lost another daughter.

Nicole: It's okay, baby girl. I know your daddy kicked us out, but I'll--I'll figure out something. I always do.

Brady: Nicole, where have you been?

Nicole: Oh, Brady.

Brady: I-I was at the house looking for you. Do you check your messages? I mean, Harold said that everyone is at the hospital.

Nicole: Stefano had a heart attack.

Brady: Yeah, I know. Is there any change with that?

Nicole: No. No, he might--he might not make it.

Brady: Hey, hey, hey, what's wrong with you? You--you weren't that close to Stefano. What's going on? Nicole, hey, hey... what's wrong?

Nicole: Everything.

Melanie: Hey, sorry for ditching you guys for Brady. What did you want to talk to me about?

Philip: Nothing. Don't worry about it.

Melanie: You sure? Were you two fighting over me?

[Cell phone rings]

Nathan: It's the hospital. [Clears throat] Dr. Horton. Yeah, can you hold on one minute? It's about a patient. I'll be right back.

Melanie: Yeah. No. Go save lives.

Nathan: Yeah.

Melanie: So who won?

Philip: Hmm?

Melanie: You mean you weren't battling to the death over my affection?

Philip: No. Look, I got to go.

Melanie: No, Phil, Phil, get back here. What were you and Nathan talking about, really?

Philip: Nothing, nothing.

Melanie: You sure about that?

Philip: You sure about Nathan?

Melanie: I don't know. He's pretty dreamy. He's a doctor. He's a Horton.

Philip: Everything you could want in a guy, wow.

Melanie: You're not so bad yourself, you know.

Philip: Hmm, despite the latest polls?

Melanie: You got me beat.

Philip: Nathan's a lucky guy.

[Door opens]

Melanie: Hey. Do you have to go back to the hospital?

Nathan: No. I got someone to cover me. So I'm not going anywhere.

Philip: I'll leave you two to your date.

Nathan: Thanks.

[Door closes]

Stephanie: It wasn't, like, a rebound thing. I mean, I know I hadn't been broken up with Philip for very long, but I liked Nathan's company. I mean, he was smart and funny. And so when I saw the flyer about the hot-air-balloon ride, I didn't think twice about asking him to go with me and then made a fool of myself.

Maggie: And he said he couldn't because he was dating Melanie.

Stephanie: He said he was going out with her tonight.

Maggie: Ah. Well, I see my advice goes a long way. [Clears throat]

Stephanie: You don't approve?

Maggie: Mm, what do you think?

Stephanie: Me? It's none of my business.

Maggie: That's not what I asked. Stephanie, you obviously picked up something from Nathan that made you think it was okay to ask him out on a date.

Stephanie: Oh, he didn't lead me on if that's what you're thinking. Um, even if he did, I mean, who am I to judge after the way I treated Philip? I jerked him around for months, breaking up with him, getting back together, breaking up with him. That's not the way you treat someone you love.

Maggie: Love. Present tense?

Stephanie: I never stopped loving him. I don't think I ever will.

Maggie: Well, then why aren't you with him?

Stephanie: Because loving him isn't enough.

Maggie: Oh.

[Dishes clattering]

Maggie: Oh. Uh-oh. There's an emergency in the kitchen.

Stephanie: Yes.

Maggie: Don't go anywhere. I'll be right back.

Stephanie: All right.

Maggie: Um, I'm coming.

Nicole: Wait, but how did you find out?

Brady: Well, Melanie told me.

Nicole: [Sighs] Does everybody in Salem know already?

Brady: Nicole, when Stefano DiMera checks into the hospital, the whole world finds out about it.

Nicole: That's what you think I'm talking about.

Brady: What, there's more? Nicole, what is it? What--what happened when I left you and EJ?

Nicole: He knows.

Brady: He knows... he knows what exactly?

Nicole: [Scoffs] All of it... the miscarriage... how I pretended to be pregnant, getting Sydney from Dr. Baker.

Brady: How did he--how did he find--did you tell him or what?

Nicole: He had a recording of the two of us talking the other night--me and you-- about--about my miscarriage.

Brady: He had you followed.

Nicole: And then he found out where I got the pregnancy padding, and he talked to the saleswoman. And he just put it all together.

Brady: What did he do? Did he hurt you?

Nicole: Physically?

Brady: Yeah.

Nicole: No. [Scoffs] But he hates me, Brady.

Brady: No, Nicole, he's-- he's angry, and he's mad, but he does not hate you.

Nicole: No, no, no. He--he threw me out, Sydney too. He threw us both out!

Brady: Son of a... I'm so sorry.

Nicole: Are you, really?

Brady: What?

Nicole: You warned me that I would never get away with it. You said that EJ would find out someday. And if he did, he would never forgive me. Well, you were right, Brady. It all happened just like you said it would. How does it feel to be the smartest man in the room?

Brady: Nicole, there's nothing that I wanted to be more wrong about in my life.

Nicole: Right. I-I wondered about that too.

Brady: What are you talking about? What is this?

Nicole: It's your fault! It is your fault, Brady, that this whole thing happened! I mean, you called me. And then you slipped up to EJ on the phone when you told him that--that the secret is coming out. And admit it. Admit it! Admit that you wanted this to happen!

Sami: We are talking about you and Nicole. Please don't bring Grace into this.

EJ: I shouldn't have said anything, okay?

Sami: But you did. And now we have to deal with it, okay? Look, whatever's going on with you and Nicole doesn't mean you lose Sydney.

EJ: You have no idea-- no idea what you're talking about.

Sami: I know, because you won't give me any details. Look, I know one thing, whatever is happening between you and Nicole has nothing to do with Sydney.

EJ: It has everything to do with Sydney.

Sami: Why? Because she's Nicole daughter? Because Nicole crossed some sort of invisible line in your head?

EJ: I'm not talking about this with you.

Sami: Stop it, all right? Listen to me. Nicole loves you. She would throw herself in front of a train for you.

EJ: That's rich. That's really rich coming from a woman who just a few months ago was telling me what a lying tramp she was.

Sami: She was, but now she's not. She's changed.

EJ: She's changed, has she? [Laughs]

Sami: She has.

EJ: She hasn't changed, Samantha.

Sami: EJ, come on, you've seen it. Ever since she had Sydney, she's a totally different person. Yes, she used to be manipulative and--and--and money hungry. But she's not now. All she cares about is that little girl. She is a different person.

EJ: You're wrong. She's the same lying little bitch that she always was.

Sami: This is your wife we're talking about, right? The mother of your child?

EJ: Samantha, she's, uh... she's not the mother of my child. I mean, she never--she never was. She never will be.

Sami: What do you mean?

EJ: I mean that Sydney is-- is not my child.

Philip: Hey.

Stephanie: "Hey," yourself.

Philip: What's up? Are you on a date?

Stephanie: No. I'm working. Maggie's throwing a fundraiser for the hospital. I'm doing publicity.

Philip: Ah, the new job's working out. Good for you.

Stephanie: Yeah, it's great. I love it. I love the people, the work. It's a perfect fit. What about you? Why are you here?

Philip: I was just driving by. I thought I'd stop by for a drink.

Stephanie: By yourself?

Philip: Same as you.

Stephanie: Are you okay?

Philip: Why wouldn't I be?

Stephanie: I mean, I can't imagine dealing with the fact that your mom married Stefano.

Philip: Oh, yeah, so my stepfather wants me dead, and my stepbrother put a hit out on me. We're just one big, happy family.

Stephanie: Something else happen?

Philip: What do you mean?

Stephanie: With your mom. I don't know. It seems like something else is bothering you. It's written all over your face.

Philip: No. No, nothing's wrong.

Stephanie: You can tell me.

Philip: [Sighs] It's nothing for you to worry about.

Brady: Nicole, why would I want any of this to happen, hmm? I did everything I could to protect you. I lied for you. I told EJ that I fell off the wagon, that I was back on drugs, that I was high when I made the call about the secret coming out. You know how much I didn't want to do that, but I did it. I did it for you, because I didn't want EJ to find out about Sydney. That's why.

Nicole: It's too late. It is too late. The damage was already done-- the damage you did, and you wanted that from the start.

Brady: The damage I did? This is nuts that you're saying this to me!

Nicole: No, it--is it? You always wanted me to tell EJ the truth--that it would come out anyway, and you made sure that it did.

Brady: You listen to me. There is no way that I slipped up to EJ on purpose. Why would I do that, huh? So I could say I was right? So I could say you were wrong?

Nicole: Because you're in lo--

Brady: Let me tell you something, I did screw up. But that's all I did. But I made a promise to you from the beginning of this whole mess. I promised that I would help you. And I will. And anything you need... anything you want... I'm here for you.

Sami: What do you mean, EJ? What are you talking about? Are you saying Nicole had an affair?

EJ: No.

Sami: Somebody else is the father?

EJ: No, she didn't have an affair. [Sighs] But the rest of it's true. Somebody else is Sydney's mother.

Sami: What does that mean? She had donor eggs? Eggs implanted?

EJ: She never gave birth.

Sami: Come on, EJ. She was pregnant.

EJ: She was pregnant. And she had a miscarriage.

Sami: Oh, God. Wait, then how...

EJ: She... she faked it. You know, she... she got, uh, fake padding... and maternity clothes.

Sami: And you didn't ever suspect?

EJ: Well, it's--it's not-- she kept her distance from me... you know? I mean, we had a scare with the baby, and there were some complications. And she told me that things would get worse, you know, if we were close.

Sami: Well, then where did Sydney come from?

EJ: Oh, I don't know. She--she found some doctor who got her a baby.

Sami: The doctor just gave her a baby?

EJ: I--she told me that she was adopted.

Sami: Oh, my God. I mean, I can't believe it.

EJ: You can believe it. It's true. I, uh, confronted her with some... irrefutable evidence.

Sami: Oh, my God. How could Nicole do this?

EJ: I don't know. She did it.

Sami: But I mean, come on, I have done some crazy stuff in my life. But this--this takes the cake.

EJ: Really, Samantha? I mean, is it really all that different from what you did to me? I mean, you had a baby of mine. You kept it from me. And she had a baby of mine. She lost it... and she replaced it... with another baby. I mean, either way, it's the same thing. I had two daughters... and I lost them both.

Philip: I'm gonna let you get back to work.

Stephanie: You gonna drink by yourself?

Philip: [Scoffs]

Stephanie: No, I'm not getting on your case. I'm just saying Maggie's in the kitchen, and maybe you'd like to get a drink with me. I could use one.

Philip: Something happen to you?

Stephanie: Nothing earth-shattering. Uh, just one of those nights like you're having. What do you say?

Philip: I'm not sure that's such a good idea.

Stephanie: Look, I know we've had our problems, but I was hoping we could be friends.

Philip: Well, that's just it. I don't think we can be friends, Stephanie.

Nathan: Oh, you mix 'em?

Melanie: Yeah.

Nathan: You know--you know that guy on four with a hernia?

Melanie: Yeah.

Nathan: He used to be a rocker back in the day.

Melanie: What?

Nathan: No joke. He opened for, uh, I think it was Kiss, uh, The Stones, and, um, uh, Aerosmith.

Melanie: Wow. So how'd he get that hernia-- falling out of a coconut tree with Keith Richards?

Nathan: No, I-I'm serious. Maxine said she saw him on one of those reality shows. Uh, I don't remember the name.

Melanie: Oh, yes. I am a dinosaur, somebody excavate me.

Nathan: [Laughs]

Melanie: [Laughs] Sorry. That's so bad.

Nathan: So cute.

Melanie: [Laughs] Um... are you--are you not gonna ask what Philip and I were talking about when you were on the phone?

Nathan: No.

Melanie: You don't care?

Nathan: You're here with me. That's all I need to know.

Melanie: Are you trying to impress me, Horton? It's kind of working.

Nathan: Is it? Yeah? Wait till you see my party trick.

Melanie: Party trick. Well, there's a precursor. If you start trying to lick your elbow or belch your frat song, I'm out of here.

Nathan: I can do much better than that. Come here.

Brady: I mean it. EJ may have turned his back on you, but I won't do it. And I want to help you and Sydney if I can.

Nicole: It's too late, Brady.

Brady: Don't--don't say that.

Nicole: It is. There's nothing you can do.

Brady: If you're angry at me, that's one thing. But you need to think about Sydney, Nicole.

Nicole: Think about Sydney? My God, all I do is think about Sydney. I-I did everything I could to keep this from happening. You know why? Because I wanted to give Sydney a blessed life... a mother and a father... and a secure home to grow up in. And now that's all been ripped out from under her.

Brady: I truly am--

Nicole: Sorry. I know. So am I.

Sami: All right, EJ, we are talking about Nicole and Sydney, not me and Grace.

EJ: You know what? You're two different sides of the same coin.

Sami: If you're gonna be like that, then I'm out of here.

EJ: Fine. Leave. Please. Don't let the door hit you on the way out, okay? 'Cause I didn't want to talk to you. You insisted on having this conversation.

Sami: Because you are my son's father, EJ. And Johnny spends half his time at your place. And if there is a problem, I need to know about it.

EJ: There's not a problem anymore. Nicole is leaving. She's gone.

Sami: She's taking Johnny's sister with her.

EJ: She's not Johnny's sister.

Sami: Johnny thinks she is. Johnny loves her like she is. And that is a lesson you could stand to learn.

EJ: Do you think I don't love her? Hmm? Do you think so? Do you think that it isn't tearing me up inside to let her go?

Sami: If you let her go, you have no one to blame but yourself.

EJ: You don't understand this at all.

Sami: You think I don't understand? We both lost Grace, EJ. But you... you have a beautiful little girl who thinks you're her daddy if you want her.

Maggie: Philip.

Philip: Maggie, hi.

Maggie: Can I get you a table? There's a nice one over there.

Stephanie: [Laughs] Maggie, it's okay. We're--we're fine with each other.

Maggie: Uh, well, um, before they pulled me away, you were telling me that Melanie is going out with Nathan?

Philip: Yeah, I can confirm that. I saw them at the Cheatin' Heart.

Maggie: You did, did you? Were they having a good time?

Philip: From the looks of it, yeah. They seemed really happy.

Nathan: You feel that?

Melanie: Yeah, like, in my back.

Nathan: Yeah. And that's your hip right there.

Melanie: Uh-huh.

Nathan: This is your thigh.

Melanie: Oh, weird.

Nathan: And this is your...

Melanie: Well, that is... that is amazing.

Nathan: That's the point.

Melanie: Okay, okay, uh, so where'd you learn this, like, med school or something?

Nathan: Uh, actually, I, uh... you don't want to know.

Melanie: [Laughs] Okay. Okay, so--so do you do this to all the girls you take out?

Nathan: Mm, only the ones I want to see again.

Brady: What are you gonna do?

Nicole: I don't know. [Sighs] I mean, I can't go home. EJ's probably changed the locks on the door by now. No, no, no.

Brady: Come on.

Nicole: Brady, Brady, I don't want your money. Put your wallet away.

Brady: You have anywhere to stay?

Nicole: EJ's probably cut off my credit cards too. But I mean, I-I have enough money to stay at the Salem inn for tonight anyway.

Brady: What about tomorrow, Nicole?

Nicole: I'll come up with something.

Brady: What--what if--what if you can't?

Nicole: I always have. This time isn't any different.

Brady: It's a little--it's very different. Before, it was just you. Now you have this beautiful baby to worry about.

Nicole: I know. [Sighs] I may not have given birth to Sydney, but she is my little girl in every way.

Brady: And I think EJ is the biggest bastard for not feeling that same way.

Nicole: It's just because he doesn't know.

Brady: Doesn't know what?

EJ: Do you think I should just take Nicole back? Do you think it's that easy? Hmm? What about what you did to me? Not just me, forget about me. What about what you did to Johnny? How are we gonna explain this to Johnny... or Lexie or Theo or my father? And say what you will about my father, he loved that girl. So when he gets better, how is he gonna handle this?

Sami: He'll handle it. They'll all handle it... except maybe you.

EJ: Except maybe me. And how the hell am I supposed to just handle this, Samantha?

Sami: EJ, get over yourself. Get over your ego. What upsets you the most is that Nicole outsmarted you.

EJ: Well, it wasn't like she didn't have a little bit of help. And I'm not talking about that doctor... your stepbrother.

Sami: Brady?

EJ: Brady. Brady was right there from the beginning.

Sami: What did he do?

EJ: I don't know what he did. But I'll tell you this, I'll find out. And when I do, he'll--

Sami: Don't you dare threaten my brother, okay? Don't you hurt him.

EJ: Don't hurt your brother? Look at what your brother did to me. Look at what he did to me!

Sami: If he had something to do with it--if he did--

EJ: "If," Samantha? There is no "if."

Sami: I'm sure he had a good reason.

EJ: I don't think so. I don't think he had a good reason. Nor do I think that hack doctor who went about finding that baby for her had a good reason.

Sami: I guess the only question left is, who are Sydney's real parents?

Maggie: I have to take care of something. Are you gonna be all right, Stephanie?

Stephanie: Yes, thank you. Really.

Philip: [Scoffs] Since when did Maggie become bodyguard detail?

Stephanie: She is looking out for me.

Philip: And she needs to do that because of me?

Stephanie: Maybe it was about Melanie.

Philip: What does that mean?

Stephanie: Maybe that's why you're having a bad night, because you saw Melanie and Nathan together.

Philip: [Scoffs] Why would I have a problem with that?

Stephanie: I don't know. You seem like you do, though.

Philip: And what about you?

Stephanie: I have no reason to be--

Philip: You went out with Nathan.

Stephanie: Once, as friends-- something I thought you and I could be.

Philip: Look, I'm sorry for what I said. I didn't mean to hurt you. I'd never want to do that. But I'm moving on. I'm trying to.

Stephanie: With Melanie?

Philip: [Chuckles] Look, even if I was and if you were moving on with Nathan, it looks like they moved on without us and found each other.

Stephanie: So what now? We can't be friends. We can't be together.

Philip: I'll always love you. But I finally figured out what you knew a long time ago and I was too crazy in love to see. We're just not right for each other, and we never will be.

Nathan: See, now, that was fun.

Melanie: Yeah. Yeah. Me too. Uh, I mean, it was--it was fun. You--you're--you just said that.

Nathan: It's okay. It bears repeating. Uh... it's getting late. We should probably head home.

Melanie: Yeah. Yeah, I have--I have class in the morning.

Nathan: Yeah, and I-I got an early shift. Uh... it can't be that late, right? What? Oh.

Melanie: Oh, I'm not-- I'm not... although, do you have--you have some more--some more party tricks up your sleeve?

Nathan: No tricks this time.

[Cell phone rings]

Melanie: You should--you should probably...

Nathan: Yeah, it's probably the hospital.

[Cell phone rings]

Melanie: Do you have to go?

Nathan: No. It was just Maggie.

Melanie: Oh.

Nathan: Uh...

[Laughs]

[Cell phone rings]

Melanie: Um, gosh. Okay, this is--this is weird.

Nathan: [Clears throat]

Melanie: Ah. Mm-hmm. It's Maggie.

Nathan: Yeah.

Melanie: You know, maybe we should answer it because she keeps calling both of us, and she's obviously trying to get ahold...

Nathan: Let me see that real quick.

Melanie: What are you--why-- what are you doing?

EJ: I have no idea who Sydney's real parents are.

Sami: Nicole won't tell you?

EJ: I don't think Nicole knows.

Sami: I still can't believe how she got away with that. I mean, all those months.

EJ: Yeah. I mean, it's not like you, is it? I mean, you weren't hiding when you were pregnant with my child. I couldn't know.

Sami: All right, all right, let's not go there, okay?

EJ: Why not? Same thing. The only difference is that she was right under my roof... that I lived with her day in and day out. I didn't see it... because I chose not too... because I let my guard down. I let my guard down because I really loved her. I really loved her. And... I wanted her to really love me. And I thought that I had finally found somebody that I could truly give my heart to.

Sami: EJ... for what it's worth, I really think she does love you.

EJ: Well... I think I was just blinded by that love.

Sami: It happens.

EJ: Not anymore. Where's Johnny?

Sami: Um, there was no one at your house to watch him. You said your nanny called in sick, so I took him to my grandma's.

EJ: I'd like to see him, please.

Sami: What, now? It's really late, EJ.

EJ: Yeah... now.

Sami: EJ, you're upset. Why don't you go home, get some rest? Then I'll bring him over in the morning.

EJ: Samantha, I would like to see my son. I'm not having you or anyone else keep another one of my children from me.

Sami: I was right. He was sound asleep. But he's excited to see his daddy, right?

EJ: Hey.

Sami: Johnny.

EJ: Oh. Oh, come here, big fella. It's good to see you. Hmm. I missed you. You've been away for a long time. At least I still have you, right? At least I still have you.

Brady: What doesn't EJ know?

Nicole: He--he doesn't know how much he really loves Sydney and how much he's gonna miss her.

Brady: What if he does? What if he does realize it, and he wants Sydney back and not you? I mean, have you thought about that?

Nicole: That won't happen. I won't let it.

Brady: What if you can't stop it?

Nicole: Brady, why are you doing this to me? Why are you bringing this up?

Brady: Nicole, because you have to be ready for that in case that happens. You need to face reality about that.

Nicole: No, I am not gonna let anyone or anything take my little girl from me.

Brady: What if--what if Mia wants her back? What if she doesn't like what's happening with her baby and she wants her back?

Nicole: Oh, I-I-I just-- I can't deal with Mia right now, okay? [Sighs] You know, by tomorrow, uh... it may not be an issue anymore.

Brady: What are you talking about?

Nicole: Because, Brady, EJ's gonna wake up in the morning, and he's gonna realize how much he misses Sydney and me, and he's gonna take us back. He will. He will!

Brady: Nicole, what is wrong with you?

Nicole: He will. He just needs some time to-- to cool off, okay? I've seen it before. He--he gets angry, and he throws a fit, and then he gets over it.

Brady: Do you honestly believe that's what's gonna happen this time?

Nicole: Brady... God, just go, okay? Go!

Brady: I meant what I said about my help, if you need it and you change your mind.

Nicole: Oh, Sami, I am so sorry. It didn't start out this way. I... I just wanted to keep EJ. That's why I took your baby. Just--I wan--I wanted to give him the daughter that I lost. But it just became so much bigger than that. Oh, honey. I can't give you up. I just can't. You're mine, and I'm never gonna let you go.

Hope: Justin, I asked you here because I need a lawyer.

Victor: Carly manning is a name from your distant past. Keep it that way.

Chloe: Do you know who Sydney's real parents are?
