Stephanie: Owen, no!
Owen: Do not move! What the hell --
Owen: Don't move! Don't move!
Philip: It's okay. It's okay.
Nicole: [Gasps] Oh, sweetheart, hi. You're home. [Smooches] Oh, gosh. You know, the lawyers called not 10 minutes ago.
E.J.: I know. They managed to get the arraignment moved up.
Nicole: Oh, thank God. It's finally over.
E.J.: No, it's not over -- not even close.
[Persistent knocking on door]
Sami: Coming! Coming! Okay. Okay. God.
Rafe: Hey. Uh, somebody around here say they needed a construction worker?
Sami: I do.
Hope: Either there was a struggle or Melanie dropped this on purpose.
Bo: Yeah, so she could still be around here somewhere.
Hope: Hopefully Brady, as well.
Bo: Hold on a second.
Brady: Hey. Look at me. You are gonna get your chance to be happy.
Brady: I promise you that.
Melanie: "Hmm," what?
Brady: I think I may know how we're gonna get out of here.
Philip: Owen, relax, okay? We'll do anything you say. I'm not taking any chances. And you're the one with the gun. I know you can pull that trigger any second.
Stephanie: Owen, please.
Announcer: Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.
E.J.: All right. Now, you listen to me. I want everybody we have on this, you understand me? Everybody. Anything that looks suspicious near the Kiriakis mansion, any abandoned buildings downtown, any empty warehouses -- anything, all right? Good. Get back to me. [Sighs]
Nicole: Still worried about Stephanie?
E.J.: Stephanie -- I don't even care if Stephanie's alive or dead. Owen. I got to find Owen fast.
Philip: Stay back.
Will: Hey. Guess what. You know how I told you I know these people that have a really big house and pool? Well, the pool's officially open. We can use it anytime now.
Will: What? I thought you liked to swim.
Mia: I may have to go away.
Will: Yeah? Well, hey, don't forget, we got finals coming up soon. So, uh, how long will you be gone?
Mia: Maybe for good.
Rafe: Whoa. That is quite a welcome.
Sami: [Chuckles] "Always give a construction worker a warm welcome." It's my new motto.
Rafe: Works for me.
Sami: I just made it up.
Rafe: I like it. You know... I've, uh, I got some time before I got to go to work.
Sami: Oh, yeah?
Sami: It's a good thing Johnny's not here. He would be hammering everything.
Rafe: Or Allie. She'd, uh, hide my tool belt and want to play "where is it?"
Rafe: "All right, find it."
Sami: You know, I-I...
Rafe: What? What?!
Sami: Noth-- just -- I was -- just look at you. [Exhales deeply] No, I -- when I met you, you were like loving your job at the FBI and climbing the ladder at the bureau, and 'cause you wanted to help me, now you're working the night shift at a construction job.
Rafe: I love doing carpentry, and I'll tell you something -- I made a pretty darn good living at it, too, for a long time before I joined the academy. I have a job, remember?
Sami: Yeah. Yeah, I guess. I bet there are a million guys who would want to be in my shoes right now... 'cause I have my arms around you.
Sami: [Exhales deeply]
Rafe: There's nowhere else I'd rather be.
Rafe: Yeah. Really. I never meant anything more in my life. Now... what do you want your construction worker to do for you, ma'am?
Sami: [Laughs] I got a few things in mind.
Bo: This one isn't as wide.
Hope: It's got to be a woman's.
Bo: Yeah. We've got two men and a woman. Brady and Melanie must have had someone with them.
Bo: Nah. She wouldn't have dropped that badge if they had found Philip.
Hope: We better call for backup.
Bo: Yeah. Do it on the way. I got a feeling they're close. Let's go.
Brady: I didn't even notice these windows until the moonlight came through.
Melanie: Uh [Chuckles] That's your idea of a way out?
Brady: Yeah. Yeah. It could be.
Melanie: You can't make it up there. That's just as high up as that one.
Brady: Yeah, I know, but that's a flat wall right there. But that one over there -- see the ledge? I could use that to get up there and break that window.
Melanie: Okay, spider-man. You can't just climb up the wall.
Brady: Look, if I can get high enough, I can break that window. And if I can't crawl through, at least people will hear us if the window's broken, right?
Melanie: Uh, no. No, I don't think I like you doing something that crazy. Hey, look, I am -- I'm all for taking chances, but that one -- just when it comes to things like money or crazy plans. I just really don't feel comfortable with you going up the wall when there's nothing really -- you -- y-you're good.
Brady: Look out.
Melanie: Okay. All right. Here we go. Cool. Okay. Well, listen, when you get all the way up to the -- well, the window -- I think when you get all the way up to the top --
Brady: Melanie, would you mind -- oh!
Melanie: [Screams] Oh, my God! Brady! I told you not to climb up that wall. Oh, my God. Um, Brady -- Brady. Oh, God.
E.J.: Thanks, Lexie. I certainly appreciate it. You've been fantastic through this whole ordeal. Well, father's getting better, stronger.
[Chuckles] Apparently downright hard to handle.
Nicole: Ah. Sounds like Stefano.
E.J.: Yeah. She's not sure what day he's coming home, but soon. So, I'm sure you're thrilled about that.
Nicole: I want your father to be well, and I hope we can improve our relationship -- in time.
E.J.: You really mean that?
Nicole: Yes. I mean, why wouldn't I?
E.J.: Well, I certainly haven't seen you make a lot of effort in that regard. I mean, not recently.
Nicole: Oh, that's not fair, E.J. look, Stefano is my father-in-law and my baby's grandpa, so, yes, of course I want us to be close -- not just for me, but for Sydney's sake and for yours. Honey, I know how devoted you are to your father.
E.J.: Yeah. I-I know he can be difficult and cantankerous and curmudgeonly.
E.J.: But within all that, he's very softhearted.
Nicole: "Softhearted"? Okay.
E.J.: Let me -- okay, let me qualify that.
E.J.: He is softhearted to those people who he loves and who he trusts.
Nicole: Well, then I will just have to become one of those people that he loves and trusts.
E.J.: You will. You'll get there.
Nicole: Oh, yeah.
E.J.: In the meantime, I, uh, I hope he doesn't get held up in the hospital for too long. I hope the police don't keep him incommunicado.
Nicole: I don't understand.
E.J.: [Exhales deeply] My father planted Owen in the Kiriakis mansion two years ago, so he knows a lot about it by now, and if I can't get to talk to him...
Nicole: Look, E.J., Look, I-I don't -- I don't mean to bring this up, 'cause I know you have a lot to deal with right now, but are you sure that Owen is the only person that you have to worry about?
E.J.: Absolutely. My father won't say a word. Neither will victor. All of my men have their mouths shut. The Kiriakis guys won't say anything. Philip's disappeared. The only person who I need to watch out for is Owen.
Stephanie: Oh! Philip!
Philip: Hey! No!
Will: So, did you pay rent?
Mia: Uh, no. My cousin was letting me live there rent-free 'cause she moved in with her boyfriend.
Will: And -- and now the lease is up?
Will: So, what, you're -- you're out?
Mia: In a week or so, I'm out.
Will: Well, what about your mom and dad? There's no way I can go live with my mother.
Will: Oh, come on. Your mom... isn't an option -- right. [Clears throat]
Mia: You know, I was thinking. Maybe it's one of those things -- the way it should be.
Will: What? What are -- what are you talking about?
Mia: Will, come on. Now, you have this big family, and you're acing all of your classes, and everybody knows you and likes you, and, well, I'm just not exactly the best person for you to be hanging out with.
Will: Hey, hey, don't say that. Why would you even say that?
Mia: Because it's true. And, look, even if it wasn't, I'd still have to leave and, you know, find another place, so...
Will: No, you don't have to find another place. I mean, well, what -- what about Grace? I mean, what's she gonna do if she never sees you again?
Mia: I'll miss you guys, too.
Lucas: There's my boy. William, how are you?
Will: Hey, dad. Uh, hi. Dad, this is Mia. Mia. Dad.
Lucas: Nice to meet you.
Lucas: Is this the friend you've mentioned a few times?
Will: Yeah. Yeah, she is.
Lucas: Well, good. Relax. I'm not gonna hang out with you all day and ask you a bunch of questions. I'll just ask a couple questions. How'd you guys meet? What, you guys have classes together?
Mia: Uh, yeah. Some. English and chemistry.
Will: Uh, you know, dad, actually, we were talking earlier, and I think we have a problem you might be able to help us with.
Lucas: Uh-oh. Is it serious?
Will: Jack, what up?
Lucas: Because chemistry I can't do. I didn't do very well in chemistry.
Lucas: It's not one of my subjects.
Will: Yeah, it's out in my car.
Lucas: You got answers there, though.
Will: I can go grab it. Yeah. I'll call you back in two minutes. I got to go grab some trig stuff for jack. I'll be back in a minute.
Lucas: All right. You do what you got to do. I'll -- I'll keep your seat warm.
Lucas: So... [Exhales deeply] ...How did you and will become friends? And don't leave anything out.
Melanie: Brady, don't move. Just -- can you tell me you're okay? Can you --
Brady: Oh, yeah. No, I'm good. I'm okay.
Melanie: You, uh, you hit your head. How many fingers do you see?
Brady: 1, 2, 3, Melanie. I'm good.
Melanie: Okay. Good. Listen, Brady, I know you think it maybe isn't too big of a deal if we add another body in here, but I'm not really...
Brady: Shh! I didn't break anything. All I did was break that thing off the wall, and that's good news.
Melanie: Right. That was great news. That was great when you fell and landed like a stone.
Brady: Yeah, I landed pretty badly, but I'm gonna use that thing to bring the window, is what I'm gonna do.
Melanie: Um, I just think maybe you should sit for a minute before you --
Brady: Melanie -- Melanie, I'm gonna do this, okay? So stand over there. I don't want you getting any glass on you, okay?
Melanie: Oh, wait.
Brady: Why are you telling me to wait?
Brady: I-I'm gonna do this thing, okay?
Brady: What? What?
Melanie: There's someone outside. Do you hear that? Do you think it's that creepy guy?
Brady: It's Bo and hope. Hey, we're in here!
Melanie: We're inside!
Brady: We're inside!
Bo: It sounds like they're in here.
Brady: We're in here!
Bo: It's locked. Let me get a credit card, huh?
Owen: Don't even think about it, Philip. One step, man, and that's all it'll take, and she's gone.
Philip: Don't hurt her.
Owen: I don't want to have to, but I will.
Philip: It's cool, man. You don't have to hurt anyone.
Owen: Then don't move.
Philip: Okay, but you have to promise me -- you will not --
Owen: No! You're not giving the orders! I'm not your yardman anymore!
Philip: Come on!
Owen: Shut your mouth! I'm giving the orders here, and this is the first one! Say goodbye to Stephanie, Philip -- right now.
E.J.: All right, if you have that when you went looking, just, uh, call me in an hour. Okay? Good. Nothing else we can do right now.
Nicole: Okay. Sweetheart, listen. I know that you're anxious and you don't like waiting, but just be patient, because everything is gonna work out.
E.J.: You seem pretty sure about that.
Nicole: Yeah. I am. But you know what? You're pretty tough all on your own.
E.J.: You really think so?
Nicole: Yeah. I do. You're definitely not the insecure type.
E.J.: You don't think that sometimes maybe it's all a bit of an act -- all this confidence, bravado? Maybe I'm just... plagued with, uh, self-doubt.
Nicole: Mm. Nope. Never considered it.
E.J.: Not for a second?
Nicole: No. [Chuckles]
E.J.: Well, there's only one area that I don't doubt, and that's my...taste in women.
Nicole: Tsk. Oh, thanks.
E.J.: But I do lie awake at night a lot, though, thinking about the ups and downs of the DiMera business world, wondering if I'm doing the right thing.
Nicole: E.J., Whatever you do -- and you've said this before -- you do for your family. And you are very much like your father. You're devoted to your children and to me -- I hope. And you just want to do what's best for us.
E.J.: Yeah. I hope I do.
Nicole: Yeah. Me too. [Chuckles]
Nicole: Oh. Oh. Oh. Uh-oh. Somebody is upset. Some-- oh. No. Tsk. Now, don't you wish our life was that simple? Hmm.
E.J.: I'm gonna go upstairs and get Johnny. Being with my children seems important right now.
Nicole: Okay. Uh, hey, when do you have to bring Johnny back?
E.J.: To Samantha's? Tomorrow morning. What?
Nicole: Mm. I found out... something about Sami that I think you should know.
E.J.: Okay. What is it?
Nicole: Well, you remember Rafe -- the FBI guy, her beefcake boyfriend?
E.J.: Yeah, I know who he is, yeah.
Nicole: Yeah, well, the funny thing is, um, he, uh, he's adopting Sami's baby -- Grace. He will legally be her father.
Sami: I wish it could always be like this.
Rafe: Well, who knows? Maybe it will be.
Rafe: Yeah. Someday. [Smooches] Oh. I almost forgot. I got a surprise for you.
Sami: [Chuckles] What is it? What'd you get me?
Rafe: There you go.
Sami: Oh, my God, Rafe.
Hope: Be careful.
Bo: Hey, guys.
Brady: It's good to see you guys.
Bo: Are you okay? Huh?
Melanie: Yeah, we're fine.
Hope: Any idea where Philip is?
Melanie: That is why were in there.
Brady: We think Owen has her in the morgue.
Bo: The morgue? Is that that building over there?
Brady: Yeah. Yeah.
Melanie: But he has a gun, so be careful.
Bo: Oh, this just gets better and better.
Hope: Stay where you are. Don't move. We'll be right back. Stay there!
Brady: Oh, the hell I'm staying.
Melanie: Do I not count? Wait! Brady!
Owen: You're the one, Philip. You're the one that got Stephanie in all this trouble. You had to play tough guy with the DiMeras, didn't you? You got her kidnapped, and then you had to run out and play tough guy all over again and run to the rescue! Isn't that right?! Are you listening to me?!
Philip: Yes, yes, yes. I'm listening, and you're absolutely right. This is all my fault.
Owen: You're dawn right it is! We would have been long gone if it wasn't for you. I'm getting her away from you. I'm getting her away from everyone, where's she is safe.
Philip: Where -- where she'll be safe? Okay. Okay, okay, okay. All right. Making sure Stephanie's safe -- that's what's most important.
Owen: So why don't you be a smart man, Philip? Get back in the drawer.
Philip: Okay. Are you gonna lock me in?
Owen: You'll get out later -- after we're gone, after Stephanie's safe.
Philip: Okay. Okay. But you have to give me your word -- you will not harm her. Look, Owen, I don't know if you know this... but Stephanie's expecting. She's pregnant.
Stephanie: Ugh! Philip, stop it! Don't kill him!
Mia: Will and I -- we, uh, met at school.
Lucas: Right, right, 'cause you have classes together.
Mia: And, you know, he's really smart, so we study together sometimes and he helps me.
Lucas: Nice. My kid is smart. I guess I'm doing something right for a change.
Lucas: What do you got? You got chemistry. What is this, English lit? It looks confusing -- whatever it is. [Exhales deeply] What is this doing here?
E.J.: What? What?!
Nicole: Sweetheart, look, I mean, Sami is the last person who should be raising a child by herself. I mean, look at her.
E.J.: That -- that man is not the baby's father.
Nicole: I know, but she's not the biological mother, either.
E.J.: I never understood this from the beginning. I never understood it -- why she would have this bizarre notion to go off and adopt another child.
Nicole: Well, no one ever talks about how smart Sami is.
E.J.: Just above and beyond the pale, I'll tell you. I'm not gonna allow this.
Nicole: You're not gonna allow it?
E.J.: Do you understand what this means? This means that Rafe Hernandez is going to be hanging around every minute of every day.
Nicole: Around Sami.
E.J.: Nicole, the man is a loser. The man is a lowlife. He comes into this house, and he spies on my family. He gets fired from the one job, as far as I know, he's only ever had, from the FBI, because he's incompetent. And now he's going to be around forever.
Nicole: Yeah, that's her choice.
E.J.: He's gonna be around my son every minute of every day.
Nicole: Right. So this is about Johnny?
E.J.: Of course it's about Johnny. It's bad enough that he has to go and, you know, spend his time with Lucas Horton. Now he's got another surrogate father?
Nicole: You're making a really big deal out of this.
E.J.: Why shouldn't I be?
Nicole: Maybe because this family -- our family -- has more important things to worry about. What if the police find Owen before you do?
Stephanie: Philip, stop it! Stop! Don't hurt him anymore!
Philip: He's still breathing.
Stephanie: Come on.
Philip: [Breathing heavily]
Bo: Oh, it's good to see you guys.
Hope: Honey, are you okay?
Philip: That's your guy. That's the guy who kidnapped Stephanie.
Bo: All right, all right. Don't worry.
Stephanie: There's the gun over there.
Hope: Got it.
Philip: Hey. You knew I wasn't gonna leave you with them, right?
Stephanie: I knew. I saw your signal.
Philip: You made just the right move.
Stephanie: Thank God.
Philip: Now, listen. I know you had all this time here. Did he hurt you?
Stephanie: No, no. I told you. He didn't.
Philip: You're still shaking, baby.
Stephanie: So are you.
Philip: It's probably from the adrenaline rush. Hey, this is done.
Philip: We can go home.
Stephanie: Just don't let go of me.
Philip: I won't.
[Hurried footsteps approach]
Brady: Everything's fine.
Melanie: Yeah, everything's perfect.
Sami: Wow. They sure do make you fill out a lot of forms there, huh?
Rafe: Well, Grace isn't just anyone, you know? She's special.
Sami: Yep. I bet this is gonna take you forever.
Rafe: Already done, notarized.
Sami: What? Really? All this?
Rafe: Yeah. Those are just copies.
Sami: So fast.
Rafe: Hey, Rafe Hernandez does not mess around.
Rafe: Now it's just in the state's hands, and we'll see.
Sami: Oh, my God.
Rafe: Mm. What? Y-you're not gonna cry on me, are you? Don't.
Sami: No. I -- I do want to say something.
Sami: I'm so lucky... to know you, to have met you. I mean, for ever meeting you or helping me when I didn't even want your help and --
Sami: You were there for me no matter what... when I needed you, and -- and now you're making this happen so fast. It's just -- I am so happy I'm gonna cry.
Rafe: No, you're not gonna cry. No. If you're feeling grateful, I can think of something else, you know? There are other ways to show your appreciation.
Sami: Oh, really?
Sami: Well, lucky for you I'M... feeling... extremely... grateful. [Smooching]
Sami: [Clears throat] [Chuckles] Well, daddy, I will -- I'll be right back.
Rafe: No, no, no. You stay right here. I've got it.
Rafe: Yeah. 'Cause, after all, I am going to be her -- no -- I am Grace's father.
Sami: [Smooches] Hurry back.
Lucas: Has will been drinking?
Lucas: I'm his father. I have a right to know. How serious is it?
Mia: It's -- no, it's not will, I swear. It's -- it's me.
Mia: Yeah. I-I've been going to 12-step meetings ever since I got out of rehab.
Lucas: Rehab, huh?
Mia: Yeah, a few months ago, and, you know, I'm doing fine now, though, so -- I'm doing fine.
Lucas: Well, don't get me wrong. I think it's great that you're willing to admit that you have a problem and that you're going through the program. I think that's all perfect. And I don't know if -- if will told you this or not, but I am a recovering alcoholic myself, and I know that it's not an easy road to go down, so I wish you a lot of luck. Just don't give up, okay?
Lucas: Right. Well, I better go. Uh, keep up the good work.
Mia: You're leaving?
Lucas: Yeah. I just came by for some coffee.
Mia: But will's gonna be right back, and I'm sure he's --
Lucas: Oh, it'll be fine. I'm -- I'm sure I'll run into him outside. [Clears throat] See ya.
Will: Oh, yeah, yeah, I know. [Chuckles] Yeah. All right. Later, man. Oh, hey. Dad, are you leaving?
Lucas: Yeah. Yeah, I am. Um, you know, we're gonna need to have a sit-down in the next couple days, have a talk, okay?
Will: Uh, why? What's up?
Lucas: This girl Mia -- I want you to be careful with her -- very careful.
Bo: Why'd you do it, man? Who's paying you? If you don't want to talk to me, how about the D.A.? You want to talk to her?
Hope: Let's go. Come on. Let's go.
Owen: You could have had it all, Stephanie.
Hope: Keep walking.
Owen: You threw it all away.
Bo: You sure you're okay?
Stephanie: I'm fine.
Bo: You gonna need someone to talk to?
Stephanie: No. No. I'll -- I'll call my parents as soon as I can.
Bo: Okay. I got backup on the way. Uh, once I turn him over to them, I'll come back here. I want statements from all of you.
Bo: All right.
Stephanie: Thank you.
Philip: Thanks, Bo.
Stephanie: How are you guys? Are you okay?
Brady: We should be asking you that.
Melanie: Yeah, but Owen smashed Brady on the head.
Brady: Yeah. No, no, I'm fine. I'm fine. I'm fine. Philip and Melanie did all the work. I actually came late to the dance.
Stephanie: Well, when you came here the first time, I was right over there. Owen had me tied up and gagged so I couldn't say anything, but I heard you, and I knew you were looking for me, and I can't tell you how grateful I am.
Melanie: [Exhales deeply] I'm just doing my job, ma'am.
Stephanie: No. You were risking your life to help me out, and I'll never forget that.
Philip: Yeah. If it hadn't been for Melanie, I wouldn't have gotten in. This could have been a bad day all around.
Melanie: I'm just glad we're all okay and that you guys can be together again.
Philip: Me too.
Will: Dad, what's going on? Why are you freaking out about Mia?
Lucas: What I have to say is not only important, it's crucial, all right? Listen to me. That girl just got out of rehab.
Will: She told you?
Lucas: Yeah, she told me about it, will? Look, I-I respect her for telling me about it, but you know what? As a recovering alcoholic myself, I know if she's going through the program -- one of the first rules in that 12-step program is you don't start new relationships like that.
Will: Dad, we're -- we're not having some dumb relationship, so --
Lucas: Especially Mia's age. Come on.
Will: Dad, would you please just chill? We are -- we're just friends.
Lucas: No. No, you're not.
E.J.: Darling, everything that can be done to find Owen is already being done, okay? Now all that is needed is some hard work and a little bit of luck. And, thank you, but I'm quite capable of containing two problems in my head at the same time.
Nicole: Of course.
E.J.: Look, I can't do a lot about Owen right now, but I can certainly do something about this ridiculous adoption.
Nicole: Well, Sami and Rafe obviously don't think it's ridiculous.
E.J.: Well, I don't really care what Samantha and Rafe think.
Nicole: It's not your decision to make. It's theirs.
E.J.: I'm perfectly entitled to have my views heard.
Nicole: [Chuckles] Okay, so, what are you gonna do? Are you gonna walk over there and -- and throw your weight around?
E.J.: Why are you being so negative?
Nicole: Because if you do that, you're only gonna make things worse, and I think you know that, but you just can't help yourself, can you?
E.J.: It's completely absurd.
Nicole: Oh, is it? Is it really? You just can't walk away... especially when it involves Sami.
E.J.: Oh, come on, Nicole. What the hell are you talking about?
Nicole: Isn't it a little bit obvious? You are jealous of Rafe.
Sami: How is she?
Rafe: I got her back to sleep. She feels a little hot. She's still teething, right?
Sami: Yeah. I mean, sometimes it can just take months.
Rafe: Poor kid.
Sami: What, you don't want her to have teeth?
Rafe: Shh! [Chuckles] No, of course I want her to have teeth. I just --
Rafe: I don't want her to have to go through pain. I wish I could wave some sort of magic wand so she wouldn't have a fever or be in pain.
Sami: You're her dad already. No harm shall come to my daughter.
Rafe: Damn right. Anyway, I've got to get to work. And don't you think that I won't be thinking of you.
Sami: [Chuckles] I will be thinking about you, too. You know what you said earlier about, um, having everything you want?
Rafe: As long as I've got you.
Sami: I just want you to know that I feel the exact same way. You know, my entire life I've spent trying to find happiness -- when I was a little kid, when I was a teenager, even walking down the aisle. I wanted it so bad, but there was always something huge hanging over my head.
Rafe: You caused a lot of people a hell of a lot of trouble, didn't you?
Sami: Yeah. Yes, I did. But that's no way to live. And now I don't have to. Now I have you... my kids. I finally have everything I've ever wanted. Oh, I'm so happy.
Excuse me, folks. Did the detectives already get your statements?
Melanie: All done.
I'm gonna need to ask you to step aside then.
Brady: All right. No -- no problem. I got -- I have, uh, something I want to do, anyway, so see ya.
Melanie: Uh, Brady, wait up.
Philip: Are you sure you don't want to talk to somebody about what happened?
Stephanie: I-I'm sure. I-I'm not saying I'm not gonna have nightmares for a while, but I'll be fine.
Stephanie: [Exhales deeply] Oh! Um, what you said before to Owen about me being pregnant...
Philip: Uh, I-I had -- are you?
Stephanie: No. No. I'm just wondering why you said that.
Philip: I had to distract Owen. And I've been thinking about you so much... and that's what I want for us someday -- a family. Right? Look, I know you say you're fine, but --
Stephanie: I am fine.
Philip: Yeah, maybe so, but I feel like I got you into this, and I just want to make sure. Can you open up a little? What did Owen do to you?
Stephanie: He didn't hurt me in that way.
Philip: Okay. But what really did happen? Talk to me. Talk to me.
Lucas: I could tell by the way you two look at each other that something's going on.
Will: No, dad, look, that's not even true.
Lucas: Don't deny it. You can deny it all you want. I know the truth. Now, I want you to stay away from her.
Will: No, dad. What? I'm not even gonna talk to you about this anymore.
Lucas: I know what I'm talking about, all right? Trust me.
Will: If you know so much, then how come you fell off the wagon?
Lucas: That happened once.
Will: Yeah, that's because you don't know -- that's why. So act like a big deal all you want. You're not telling me what to do, because I'm never giving Mia up.
Brady: I think maybe you were looking out for me today, mom. I miss you. I miss never getting to know you. I love you very much.
Stephanie: [Exhales deeply] I know I'll probably need to talk to someone -- I don't know -- a professional or whatever -- but right now I am fine.
Philip: It must have been a constant nightmare.
Stephanie: Look, a lot of terrible things happened, but one good thing did happen. You saved me, and right now that's all that counts.
E.J.: Nicole, if anybody is jealous here, I'm afraid it's you, as you always have been when it comes to Samantha.
Nicole: But you're not jealous of Rafe, huh?
E.J.: That's absurd. No. If you'll excuse me...
Nicole: Then prove it, E.J. Prove it to me. Put your family first -- your real family. Stay here. Don't go to Sami.
Sami: Oh, yeah, hi. It's, uh, Samantha Brady. I have an appointment with my daughter tomorrow at 4:00, and, um, well, she's been running a fever a lot lately, and so I was hoping I could move the appointment up. So if you could call me back as soon as possible. Let me know. I'd love to bring her in first thing in the morning, if possible. She -- oh, my God. Oh, my God! Grace! Grace! Grace!
Maggie: I've got it all figured out. You're gonna move in with me.
Chloe: Please come back in.
Arianna: You might not see it, Rafe, but I do, and that's why I can't let you make the same mistake again. I won't.
Sami: Rafe, it's Sami. There's something wrong with Grace. Call me. I'm going to the hospital.
